Updated Review October 27, 2024. Beware they have the prices listed on the wall and the guy was all set to charge me more saying that they are about to raise the price. I told him that the prices on the wall are the prices that you should be charging people until you officially change the prices. What you are doing is very shady and dishonest to your customers. If you are going there please check the prices they are charging you because they are ripping you off by charging you more than the listed price. Terrible and dishonest!

We have gone twice and all I can say is Amazing. So happy we have such an amazing spot 3 minutes from our home. The sandwiches we tried were delicious, packed with so many toppings and super tasty. I cant wait to go back and try the hor dogs! The workers were super friendly and everyone should definitely check them out!

Great place for sandwiches and subs, fresh bread and loads of meat. Rosa treats me real well and makes sure I have everything I need for lunch. Amazing spot for lunch only a couple minutes away. Just like running over to grandmas house for lunch :) Really want to try everything!

We have tried the four season, cold cuts and cheese, and Chefs Choice. So far we have visited 4 times with plenty more to come in the near future! Our favourite right now is Chefs Choice! Can t wait to try the entire menu at some point. Food

Very friendly staff! The food is very good and Rosa helped us pick out items to try since it was our first time. The deli sandwiches are stuffed with meat and the we also really enjoyed the hot sandwich. Looking forward to trying the hot dogs and more of the hot sandwiches next time.

We had the chefs choice & meatball and cheese. The chefs choice was delicious with chicken and avocado, the fried onions was a nice touch and gave the sandwich a bit of crunchiness. The meatball and cheese was good but it didnt have any sauce but thats just what we were expecting, the sandwich was good without sauce. The service was friendly and quick. placed a delivery order through ubereats. I stayed patient for 1.5 hours for them to prepare it and enough was enough. It would have taken total of 2 hours for them to complete the order according to the estimated arrival for 2 sandwiches. ridiculous. and I had paid $50.

month ago Went in for the first time today. Girls serving me very friendly. I ordered the 4 union and my wife had the turkey breast club sandwich. Not sure if there was any meat left for more sandwiches. The bag must of weighted 8lbs. They were amazing. Talked to the owner and she explained that they hollow out the bread. Best idea ever not eating all that bread. Will get that next time. Highly recommend this place. You re gonna pay a little extra but well worth the money. Will go back when I m back in the area. I had the pleasure of dining at Grandma Loves You and tried both the Meatball & Cheese and the Chef s Choice and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich and comforting, and you can tell that each dish was crafted with care. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality!

Everyone was so friendly right from the start. We were personally walked through the menu when we explained that it was our first time. We got a hot and a cold sub and they were sooooo good. The spicy ham and cheese had a nice kick but the Chef Special was awesome. The crispy onions were a really nice touch. We couldn t believe how heavy the bag was so it s excellent value. We liked it so much we went a second time for the 4 seasons. Also recommend it and the sun dried tomatoes!

So we finally tried this place honestly good food , more on the healthier side of fast food. We tried the chief special and the BLT both12 inches . I am fairly a big guy and i was good when i had mine and couple of small bites from my wifes sandwich . Staff .. . really friendly i spoke with Samual , semhar and shweda all were polite , friendly and treated me with respect . They got 3 locations in Toronto and we went to the one on sheppard .sheppard location was not the greatest .store was nice had a little and nicely decorated sitting area . I think i will be back for more

This is one of the BEST sandwiches I ve ever had. We got the Chefs Choice and Chicken BLT deluxe which was recommended by Rosa at our last visit. Both were perfection with all of the toppings and definitely worth the price with how big it is. Staff were really warm and friendly! So happy the opened a location in this area

We visited Grandma Loves You a couple days ago and both the sandwich and service was amazing. We had the Chefs Choice and it was fresh and delicious. Grandma does infact love you. This is the best sub I have ever had. Ordered the Turkey Bacon Cheese sub with no tomatoes. From the first bite, I was just amazed by the quality of the Turkey breast and the bread. That Grandma sauce is delicious. I dont know if you can get a side cup of it, but Im definitely going to ask when I go back next week. Im glad a North York location opened. 10/10 sub. +1 customer for the duration of this location. We went for some hotdogs this afternoon and were pleasantly surprised! I like mine really well cooked - blistered - and the server came out to make sure it was cooked to my liking before adding my toppings. Staff were helpful, pleasant, and quick. The create-your-own hotdogs were great and they are generous with toppings. We ll definitely be back!

Ive order through UberEats a few times, but today I went to the Sheppard location in person. The place has a great atmosphere, and it has a good amount of seating. The sandwiches here are AMAZING! So flavourful and fresh, you can really taste the good quality ingredients. I ordered the Chefs Choice sub and it didnt disappoint; even without the hot peppers it had a nice little kick! Yum! I randomly stopped in to grab lunch at Grandma Loves You on Sheppard and it was fantastic. The Chefs Choice sandwich is amazing! Fresh ingredients and a unique combination: chicken (not fried!), avocado, grilled peppers, banana peppers, onions, olives, their secret sauce all topped with crispy shallots. The staff were super friendly. Thank you Rosa for a delicious lunch! Need another location near High Park!

I was excited to see this social media darling make its way closer to home, and have now been at least a half dozen times. I do like the sandwiches a fair bit, however am left with sticker-shock each and every time, not least when my modest addition of salami to the spicy ham and cheese brought it (after a 10% tip) to over $26... Im sorry, but that is so far beyond justification for a sandwich of this kind, and is likely the last time I visit on my own dime. I know, prices of ingredients have gone up, and see what that much protein would cost you to buy at the deli, yada, yada... Nah, come back down to earth- $26+ for a mere sub- thats all this is, guys; a sub- is objectively insane. I think this is a spot that caters to young folks, most of whoms budgets are diverted to eating at/from trendy spots, because I cant ever envision anyone older (i.e. with some sense) dishing out this kind of money for what is among the most basic of foods. And I admit, Im a fool with my money when it comes to eating out, thats no secret- but, again, this is likely the last time I give this place my business, as its beginning to feel a bit much, almost like extortion. I do like the spicy ham and cheese (especially with added salami as I mentioned), and also the Four Seasons- still want an answer as to why they dont offer it in footlong, even if it has to be $18.99... I didnt care much for any of the hot subs, but will say the gourmet French dog on the croissant with the brie and jam is both incredible and unexpected- really enjoy that. Its always funny to observe the cycle of food fads... we currently seem to be on subs and Italian sandwiches... foods that were staples for decades (or more) prior to their resurgence... foods that were for the people, accessible price-wise... but now trendy business-savvy people with backing have sunk their nails into them, theyre no longer such affordable options... hate to see it, tbh...

I remember them when they just started, Yonge/Cluny area, Rosedale area, fantastic hand crafted sandwiches, they made their own breads and cakes...the owners were extremely welcoming, polite and humble...they took great pride in their work. Fast forward several years...I see the name on Skipp...alright, lets give it a go (?), was interested if someone ripped off their brand or they moved/branched out? Food wasnt the cheapest, by a long shot, never was, this aint Subway or MrSub bud, this is real sammies! My sandwich size? The size of an adults head, or a small toddler, pick one...its massive with more meat that would make a sub maker blush! The 12 inch Cold cut (cuz of course I ordered 2 because Im a gluttonous man) is the size of my forearm!...and theres 2 of these suckers! Ask me if I care if they cost $21 (it was a combo) and $13 respectively....Ill tell ya after my nap! ...next winter! tl;dr just buy a sandwich! Youll see.... 10/10, customer 4 life

Great and unique selection for types of hotdogs. We got the Sweden and German hotdog and it was good. I only wish that the buns were toasted. We asked the staff if its possible to toast the buns in the future and they were a hesitant. Would love for the restaurant to update their methods and have the hotdogs buns toasted just for a better overall taste.

I think I hit the jackpot in terms of moving into this neighbourhood because all the restaurants I have visited have been absolutely bangers so far. First of all the name of this place is awesome. Secondly, the staff are so friendly and literally make you feel like you re at grandma s. Third, Not a lot of seating but the place is mainly targeting take out customers so no complaints here. I would add some tables to encourage dining in because I love the rustic interior. Fourth, every single thing I have tried here has been awesome. Spicy ham and cheese, french hot dog and the chef s choice. The french dog in particular is a must try. The price might put you off for a hot dog but it is memorable. Love the brie in that thing. The sandwiches are made with care and the prices are MORE than reasonable for the quantity. I love the bread, the ingredients and the overall taste. Give this place a try!

This was my first visit to the Sheppard Ave location; I got the Morta Bella sandwich and it did not disappoint. It was filling and delicious and the service was superb. It has that small, family run kind of friendly service thats hard to find these days. Im definitely going back :)

This isnt just any ordinary sub!! This sandwich is loaded with meat, tasty fresh veggies and all of their accompanying flavors. We ordered a shmorg of different sandwiches and each of them were tasty as the next. Considering the restaurant was busy they pumped out my order fairly quickly. The owner was very friendly and packed up our order carefully. Im all about food made with love, and these sandwiches are indeed just that. The only suggestion that I could make is to make the menu bigger so its easier to read and highlights the sandwiches better. It sort of looks more like a cafe that serves sandwiches rather than a sandwich restaurant that also serves coffee and pastries. These are substantial sandwiches that leave you feeling satisfied!

Only had a drink since I was in a rush. Services is a kind of slow. Ordered a vanilla iced latte and it was perfect. Medium size is $5.50 thats very cheap compared to other cafes!! Will definitely come back and try their sandwiches.

Best sandwich in Toronto! I love the chef choice and we also tried Chicken BLT and we couldn t choose which one was the most delicious. Normally I prefer 6 but you can t stop after eat 6 that s why you should choose 12 . Everything is very fresh! I think the owner goes to food terminal and picks the most fresh ones. I will definitely come back again.

This place makes some of the best sandwiches and glizzies (hotdogs) around. They just opened their location on Sheppard near my work and I love coming here with my coworkers. The canadian hotdog is now one of my favourites now - simple and classic. I hope they continue to expand and spread grandma s love to more areas of the GTA

Got the Italian footlong. For $20 this is definitely not worth the price. The bun is hard, it s loaded with mayo . Only good thing is the ingredients are fresh minus the bun.

Wow! My first visit to Grandma Loves You was absolutely delightful! The food was beyond amazing, and the service was a solid 10/10. Rosa went above and beyond with her exceptional customer service, providing great recommendations that I cant wait to try next time. Ill definitely be back for more fantastic food and wonderful service. Highly recommend!

Best sandwich in the city! Got the turkey bacon BLT and I could barely finish it. The staff is super nice and friendly and the food is made with love. Highly recommend this place. There are more than a dozen sandwiches to choose from and they are all incredible. Can t go wrong with this place!

Excellent sandwiches and very friendly staff

Our first time at Grandmas and it was a nice experience. Manager Rosa suggested us a Chefs Choice sandwich and it was so good, as dessert we had a croissant with banana, chocolate, cream and red fruit, delicious. I recommend this place. Very nice food and people!!!

Overhyped. I rarely give a bad review. The food here is not great. It s average. I d put it on par with Subway. Service was uninterested and the location was in a strip mall with horrible parking. I don t understand the combinations of ingredients. The ingredients are piled on top of each other but no flavour stands out. Just lots of ingredients.

We tried Grandma Loves You for the first time last night after hearing about it from friends and social media.... and the hype is real!!!! The food is absolutely DELICIOUS (we had the Chefs Choice sandwich) and the service was amazing. We met the store manager, Rosa, who was so kind and friendly and made us feel almost like guests in her own home. Truly a new gem in the neighbourhood. We will definitely be back soon!

I came to the location 5 minutes after opening and the front door was locked. Tried calling and they said they aren t taking walk-in orders for another hour? Would ve been good to know that they don t accept walk-in orders until 1 hour after opening.

I got a meatball sandwich with a small iced coffee. The sandwich was exquisite and was bursting with flavour. The meatballs were soft and juicy and melted in my mouth. Everything about my meal was fantastic including the cushy chairs and the friendly staff.

Happy to have such a solid sandwich shop in our area! The team is lovely and hard working, and the food is amazing.

Great food, price is very fair for the amount of food!

I ordered the grilled chicken hot sandwich, and I want to stress how juicy and tender the chicken was. So good. I also received a small complimentary caramel Danish, which was good too. Will be back to try other items on the menu.

Everything on the menu looks standard enough but the flavours and care put into the food is incredible. Every cut of meat is top quality. I love the hot dogs and sandwiches here. Highly recommended.

After seeing a bunch of reels about this places. I wanted to see if this was worth the hype. And yes it was. Most of them had suggested to try spicy Ham and cheese. As I dont eat ham, my friend ordered it and I ordered chefs choice. It was chicken filling with veggies and avocado, (12). But I was sad to hear my friends review on ham, he said it was Ok-ish but he did agree to my choice of chicken. I guess it was also because it was a warm sandwich. So I would suggest people try something thats not famous and that would blow your mind.

Love the food, service and everything about this place, I ve been experimenting all different sandwiches, haven t come across something I don t like, highly recommend Chefs Choice and Spicy Ham & Cheese to be specific

Just tried this franchise for the first time, and I absolutely LOVED it. The sandwiches were delicious and some of the best I ve had in the city. Rosa was helping us with the order and she was such a sweet heart! We will definitely be back and recommend 100%

I ve been to the St Claire location but found out this one was close by so had to try it. Tried the Chef s Choice from a recommendation from one of the workers and it was just as good as I remember from the other locations. Only wish there were more tables and seats for dine-in. Sandwiches came out fast and service was friendly, definitely coming back!

After hearing rave reviews from my cousin for a month, I finally visited this spot and now Im wondering why it took me so long. We had the Chefs Choice Hot sub and a French Dog, along with chocolate croissants. The chocolate croissant was a bit of a letdown, too much Nutella-like filling made it mushy. However, the rest of the meal more than made up for it. The Chefs Choice sub could easily become my go-to. Its packed with irresistible ingredients like fried onions, which were simply outstanding. I wish there was even more of them! The chicken was also notably good quality, which is often hit or miss at fast service places. The French Dog was a unique surprise. bBlueberry jam, sausage, and brie cheese on a croissant. While it sounds unusual, it was surprisingly tasty. My cousin loved it, and Im keen to try it myself next time. Im really hoping this place doesnt cut back on portions in the future because the generous servings paired with great quality are what make it stand out. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more from their menu. It seems like this spot knows how to blend quantity with quality perfectly! Vegetarian options: vegetarian sub and sandwiches available Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options don t seem available on breads. Parking: There s number of shared parking lot front of the store, but it s challenging to park due to the size of the space. Also the number of spot is fairly limited. Kid-friendliness: I don t see kids complaints over the quality subs and hotdogs like this place Wheelchair accessibility: Rather challenging entrance, but roomy inside.
