Modern take on traditional Vietnamese Banh Mi. Prepare fresh while you wait. Try our banh mi and get hook
Went here in between busses for work. It smelt amazing and the Banh Mi was fresh to order. I wish I tried the coffee and the passion fruit juice as well but was focused on the Banh mi. Fresh veggies soft bread, meat wasn’t as traditional and pretty saucy but delicious. Staff was kind as well so I recommend this place! Not a lot of seating so takeout is your best bet
Ordered the Sausage & Egg sandwich and felt sick. The sausage was cold. I live nearby, so I figured the sandwich would arrive reasonably warm. The french fries were stale and cold. Never again!
Was in the neighborhood. Craving a Banh Mi! Got the Komi house style Banh mi. It was good... But I feel like the pickled Carrots wasn't as refreshing along with the meat was a bit dry. Overall not bad but the price point was a bit high for the quality of the food.
Gentrification is in full swing and even immigrant businesses are catching on, and overcharging accordingly. I should have known better that a banh mi place charging over $10 for a sandwich was gonna be a scam, but I figured the food would at least be decent. Without exaggeration, I got the smallest, starchiest Vietnamese spring rolls I have had in my life thus far, by starchy I mean they stuffed it with 90% taro and next to no meat. Vietnamese is one of my favourite cuisines and I've tried many places, so I'd like to think I know what I'm talking about. I kept thinking, where in the world is the flavour in both the spring roll AND the fish sauce it came with? This is the first time I've ever been to a Vietnamese place too with completely CLEAR fish sauce, no chili or garlic pieces in the sauce, see the photo, the only reason there's stuff floating in it is because I took a photo after dipping my spring rolls. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because of the iced Vietnamese coffee with salted milk foam, which was pretty good, but I was so incredibly disappointed by the food I don't think I'll be giving this business my money again, even for the drinks.
Ordered delivery and the food came on delivering! Beef and chicken banh mi taste great, bread still have that crunch and airy texture when it arrived. Meat ratio for the price is excellent. Their rice dishes are amazing too. Will check out the place and try their coffee when the weather gets better.
We ordered two pork Banh Mi, with paté, and different hot sauces. My pal ordered his with the Habanero, but there wasn't a spice to be found. Only sweet - my guess is someone missed it, since it was on the receipt. Excellent pork! Saucy, sweet - one of the best I've eaten. The bun was a little too soft though - more like a Portuguese bun than a crusty French one. Definitely coming back for more.
Update: tried the Golden Pork Sandwich today and it was excellent! The pork is marinated in honey and soya before grilling and has a lovely sweet/savory taste. Tried the Komi House Style Pork Sandwich (with Pate) and the Calvin's Style Beef Sandwich, both at spice level Mild - Sweet Thai. Excellent flavour in both sandwiches. Adding the Pate really elevated the pork sandwich; I could taste it in every bite. The kimchi added a nice spice to the beef sandwich but it could have used a little more. Overall a great choice if you're craving some bánh mì!
THE BASICS There is no shortage of shops in Toronto serving up Banh Mi sandwiches these days. Komi Banh Mi Bar is one of these new shops, but in our opinion they are one of the best entrants onto the scene. Komi’s bright, clean shop is well situated in Bloorcourt Village and offers a range of excellent sandwich and rice platter options at a very reasonable price. THE SERVICE These are very friendly folks who take special care to ensure that their made-to-order Banh Mi will keep you coming back for more. While meats are marinated in advance, they are not grilled until an order is placed, so there are no shortcuts. But the quality of the sandwiches make the wait well worth your time. THE FOOD We’ve only tried their Banh Mi, an appetizer (their scumptious and very fresh grilled pork sausage roll with peanut sauce for $5.49) and some of their fruit teas. We will be ordering a couple of rice platters the next time we visit. One of the things that sets Komi apart from the competition is that their baguettes are baked fresh in-house; and the baguettes are perfect and delicious. Komi also offers up very generous servings of meat; these Banh Mi are a full meal for all but the biggest appetites. While all the Banh Mi are delicious, here are our two favourites: Calvin’s Style Beef is Asian BBQ-style Grade ‘A’ beef with kimchi. The beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender and suffused with delicious BBQ flavour. It’s the most “expensive” item on the menu at $11.49 - worthy every penny! The Golden Pork Banh Mi is stuffed to overflowing with honey soy grilled pork for a ridiculously low price of only $8.85 DRINKS Komi has a selection of fruit teas, with the option to add tapioca “bubbles”. You can also adjust the amount of sugar and ice in each tea when you place your order. We had a mango tea on our last visit and it was delicious! THE PRICE Komi’s prices are very reasonable, particularly in light of the high quality, fresh and delicious Banh Mi’s that they regularly serve up. These folks deserve to have a line up outside their door; hopefully more people discover them so that they can thrive.
First time I went I Got the lemongrass Bahn mi sandwich, was great. Second time got the same thing, but it really upset my stomach.
Called because I was in a rush and had my dog with me (I just wanted to swing by quick and grab some food to go) but the phone went straight to answering machine every time. Poked my head in as I was walking by and literally nobody is there You guys have amazing food but you have to answer the phone and you need to have someone manning the front at all times we don t all have time to wait around and it s unprofessional to your phone going straight to answering; when people need to reach your business they should be able to do so without any sort of stress. I gave one star for service simply because there just was no service available.
Banh mi was amazing. Had to deduct a star though because the fries that I got with it were not good at all.
Best Banh Mi personally in Toronto. A bit on the pricier side for a banh mi but way worth it for the taste. I hope you guys will open one near Keele and lawrence area.
Really nice Vietnamese sandwich
Tasty food and very nice staff. They offered us free Vietnamese iced coffee which was super delish. The portions are small and not filling for me :/ Food : 4/5
Exceptionally bad service and food. Please dont go there and waste your money
I didnt know I was too black
Tasty sandwiches and coffee My favorites are the Beef and Lemongrass chicken. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend!
Ordered Calvin Style Beef with paté and iced coffee to wash it down. The banh mi is excellent, and the coffee is refreshing. And the order taker is very kind. Would love to try again
I am a loyal fan of Komi. I have been eating bread here for more than 3 years. Great taste, juicy bread. My favorite is Komi pork with mild spicy
Tofu sandwich and tofu on rice/vermicelli are great! Out go-to place for lunch
Employee just dropped holding container on the floor then picked it up and started putting new produce in it without washing. Unsanitary when it s something that takes a few seconds to wash. Won t be coming back suggest you don t either
I visited this store on Saturday afternoon, but the girl working there was so rude she dont know how to behave with the customer. I will never come back again here . So disrespectful & disgusting experience i ever had..
Never expect respect from these guys especially from the girl working on Saturday afternoon. She dont know the C of Customer Service. Never come here if you dont want to spoil your day.
Great Banh Mi in the neighborhood
Ordered this via skip the dishes. We got the Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich and Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken Sandwich. They were both immensely tasteful and full of sauce (both had spice level Sweet Thai). Agree with other reviews that the bun is more on the soft side but I wouldnt say thats a negative. Loved the banh mi from here and will be ordering again!
For the 2nd time. Ordering online here for pickup sucks. Arrived there and turns out no food was ready to pickup for me. They keep saying they are having an issue with their website. I end up waiting for 15mins.
sandwich was so sweet it was almost as if they were making a dessert.
Bought a honey garlic chicken sandwich and was the best tasting sandwich I had in a while. From the bread to the toppings tasted good
I went for the first time today and the staff was super friendly and recommenmded I try the komi house pork. I also grabbed a couple sausage rolls and an iced coffee. The komi house pork was really delicious and savory, chefs kiss! The rolls were pretty great as well but the sandwich is where its at. Iced coffee was amazing, honestly might be my favourite now. Highly recommend! Definitely try this place out :)
Tried 2 different sandwiches and both were absolutely delicious, and the bubble tea was really good as well. Maybe slightly pricey for the quantity of food, but still reasonable enough that I would come back. My only complaint would be that the wait time felt a bit unnecessarily long.
The Komi house style pork banh mi with sweet thai is off the charts. If you re going to order one you should order three more.
I am your biggest fan. Sponsor me 4 lifessss. Best food ever.
Tried it today for the first time. Awesome experience. The guy (probably the owner) was kind and made a couple recommendations. He recommended the pork over chicken and it was delicious. Spot on! Both the pork vermicelli and bbq beef on rice were amazing. Made fresh and with care. Will be getting the beef on rice with egg next time for sure! Will be back to try the sandwich (his signature), but was not in the mood for that today. Oh, cant forget the tapioca milk. It was awesome and he took his time making it. A must try!
I devoured my Komi House Style Pork Sandwich. I ll definitely be back.
My go-to banh mi place in this neighbourhood. Their Lemongrass Chicken and Candices Tofu sandwiches are my staple choices every time I step in - followed closely by the Komi House Style Pork and Golden Pork sandwiches (can you tell how much I like em?) Even if Im not too hungry, I am definitely leaving with their Viet iced coffee - with the highly recommended coffee jelly.
Sandwiches and vermicelli are so tasty
I just keep on Kominh Bahk
Little too much mayo on the sandwich. Wish they would toast the bread so its crunchy and not soft.
Too sawcy
I was doing delivery and the person at the front with glasses must be having a bad day, simply took it out on me, no use in talking back to frustrated people, so just be careful while hiring people with two face.
I was picking up a delivery that had a Ice Coffee, I told the cashier I would put it in my bag separately so it wouldnt spill. She refused and of course it spilt ruining the order. I lost 9$ on the delivery and was left with the 2 Bahn Mi and half ice coffee, and they were delicious. The other orders also looked beautiful. Terrible cashier, amazing food.
Good banh mi, ordered 2 times via UberEats. Was still warm when delivered and the packaging is cute The carrot is the best, could have been less mayonnaise though
They never disappoint! Amazing food, also seems healthy. Thank you! The cashier was not very friendly but I did not take that personal.
I came here for the first time today. Been looking for a place in Toronto to help recreate my love for Vietnam. I spent 3 weeks touring the country in 2014. The food was amazing there. The pork banh mi was amazing. The bread was soft but crunchy. The filling was well spread out and didnt make the bread soggy. The bread held its shape as I walked and ate my banh mi on the way home. Id come back and try a few more items on the menu. Parking: Plenty of parking on Bloor St. Plus parking around the corner at Differine Mall.
Got a Hot Garlic Chicken and a Pork Bahn Mi it was so fresh and absolutely delicious now I m no Bahn Mi expert but I sure do enjoy a tasty sandwich.
Delicious but would be great to have a couple of table and chairs so can sit in and eat the yummy stuff!
Pork sandwich was good
My husband and I have really enjoyed coming here recently and have been coming pretty often since the first time we tried it. The first time, we absolutely loved it. Since then, the quality of every sandwich has gone down. Every employee makes them differently and I find the quality of the meat to be extremely low. Majority of my two sandwiches were all grizzly and fat the last few times and today its given me slight food poisoning. I probably wont be back.
Okay Banh Mi but a little pricy
Very, very yummy!!! I absolutely love their beef on rice with fried egg, their Viet Iced coffee, Calvin style beef sandwich, and Passionfruit juice with tapioca! I highly recommend for lunch / dinner specifically the beef on rice or even Tofu on rice will put you into the best food koma also easy and quick to call for pick up orders! And they re employees are very nice and friendly. Will upload photos soon ! Vegetarian options: Tofu available
Amazing food! Every bite gives me foodgasm
Love this place. This is also one of those places that we frequent even though we dont live in the neighborhood anymore. Over the years they have added a lot of choices. My favourite is the lemon grass chicken with the habanero sauce. There is not a lot of room to sit, so its not really a date night type of place. You can get the sandwich to go and enjoy it at Dufferin park though! Vegetarian options: They have a really good tofu Bahn mi.
This was an unfortunate experience of prep quality vs. taste. My honey garlic chicken banh mi was very tasty, but in multiple bites the chicken was improperly prepared, where gristly chunks were left in with the meat. Made a good taste experience into and unpleasant one. Sad to say this, I wish the prep quality matched the taste.
Delicious bahn mi and very kind and efficient service!
I so love this food. It is so light and refreshing. The veggies are always fresh.
Very poor service Long waits Unprofessional and rude staff
The Calvin style beef banh mi was very good but the shrimp rolls were tough and tasteless. Could not eat it. Would be much better with some spring onions and much less noodles. Should have just stuck with the sandwich.
A bit like if a subway sandwich artist had watched a documentary on Vietnam. Tasty but not terribly authentic.
The food is okay but the staff is not friendly at all!
Delicious food.I would order again for sure and reasonable price.
Excellent
I took the Komi House Style. Very good sandwich.
One of a staff doesn t understand English and she gave me wrong meal. But I like their sandwiches
Banh Mi was very tasty. The Vermicelli was underwhelming... small portion size for price, but overall ok. If Im in the area and crave a pork banh mi, I would go back for that.
Used to LOVE getting the house pork banh mi. However, over the last few months, the quality has declined. The last 3 times I ve order this banh mi, the meat was either bad tasting or there was very little meat and tons of fat. It s such a shame because this spot is usually phenomenal. I hope it ll return to what it once was.
I LOVE Banh Mi. I havent tried much places in Toronto because I always went to this one place in Mississauga. So I tried Komi for the first time, and it was life changing. The house style pork sandwich is amazing. Right amount of sauce, the meat was perfectly marinated and the bread was so soft. I was tempted to place another order right after I finished my sandwich. Edit: quality of meat has gone down since
The grilled pork with vermicelli was decent!
Be aware that this place prioritizes online/app orders over walk-in ones. If youre a walk-in customer, they absolutely *will* let your order sit on the counter for many minutes before giving it to you, and you will be able to tell by the temperature of the food when you finally get it. The irony is that the online orders are prepared too quickly, so those sit on the counter for a long time too. As a walk-in customer, you will have plenty of time to observe this. The staff seem to have no idea that any of this is a problem. So if they see this: Food doesnt taste as good when it has been sitting out for too long. I like their food, but if they dont get this sorted I will just give up on the place. Edit 2 months later: Thats it! Im DONE. Yet again my food, that was supposed to be hot, was handed to me at barely above room temperature because it sat and sat and sat while the delivery orders were processed, even though I was right there in the store. The high staff turnover doesnt help but the owners/managers must simply not care. This place deserves to go out of business. If you *must* get food from there for some reason, order online! Dont go as a walk-in, youll get worse food and service.
Expensive for a simple Bahn mi. Spadina has much better options.
Update your opening time. If you store closes at 8:45 pm, then don t put 9 pm. Walking in cold winter to the store, arrived at 8:50 pm and then was informed that the store is closed
Yummy :p
Be aware - you will likely get cold food if you order delivery. 4 times in a row the food has arrived entirely cold. They dont heat well due to fresh vegetables inside of the baguette. I tried to call and get help from them but they refused to cancel or offer to remake it, instead, Im stuck paying for and waiting for cold food.
I ordered the classic pork sandwich, along with the honey garlic chicken sandwich with habanero sauce. Both were great, but the honey garlic chicken was honestly the best sandwich Ive eaten. The sweetness of the honey contrasts the habanero brilliantly and makes for a very well rounded flavor, and the texture of that tender dark meat only adds to it. One may argue that the portion sizes are lacking, but the vibrant flavor of any given sandwich here totally makes up for it.
The Food is amazing but the service not so much. The language barrier creates problems placing orders and theres a great chance they will get it wrong. Having you waiting 1hr to remake the entire order. I suggest ordering in person because ordering over phone will get you the wrong order every time otherwise very clean and very friendly .
So good. Love those fresh rolls
Delicious and affordable
I got the vietnamese iced coffee and its the best thing Ive ever tasted in my lifetime. Will come again.
Just ordered two banh mi sandwiches (house style pork and drunken chicken) and they were both fantastic. We also got the crispy spring rolls and they were meaty and tasty. Will definitely be back!
Can you please tell what brand/type of green tea you serve? I got the ice green tea and lemon and it was so good. The sandwich was really good too!
The pork and Calvin s beef are our go-to, highly recommend!
Got the honey garlic chicken & beef rice dish, absolutely amazing! Very flavourful. Vietnamese iced coffee & passiofruit tea was also top notch.
Tasty food.
Amazing food, great service and a super clean restaurant!
OH GOD! Truly the best banh mi in the city. The bread is so soft and warm on the inside and perfectly flaky on the outside. The meat is just saucy enough so its flavourful without making the bread soggy. Best quick eats in this neighbourhood.
Best beef I have ever had
Really good, and very consistent! I do wish they had Vietnamese style spring rolls
Poor customer service
Seems like everything is fresh made to order. Asked for extra spicy and they put chillies/scotch bonnet peppers in it. Overall good sandwich and was quick around 7pm. My only feedback is that they should wash their hands after handling the cash. Even though they are putting gloves on, you should do so with clean hands. Otherwise you contanimate the gloves when you touch them.
Its very clean and people were very friendly. I ordered Grilled Chiken On Rice and soo tasty! I loved getting extra habanero on the side too! I probably back to them soon.
Absolutely the best bahn mi my husband and I have ever had in Canada, and thats coming from a man whos been to Vietnam and lived off of them for months lol. We always get the golden pork, extra extra spicy with fresh red Chilis added. All the food and drinks are great! Fresh, flavorful, and relatively affordable. Even our picky two year old loves the vermicelli bowls. Definitely our new go to meal for takeout/ delivery!!
Great Bahn Mi, a little expensive, great juices and teas.
Great place to grab a quick banh mi and has so much flavour! I do wish there was a bit more meat in it though. Also enjoyed their iced vietnamese coffee.
The bread was fresh, the pork well brined and every bite had a blend of flavours. Would come back.
I love this place! Fresh food and super tasty. Good prices too. The pork sandwich is my favourite and my partner likes the crispy tofu sandwich.
Tasty pork belly banh mi, nothing to criticize it for other than the price. But still compared to relative meals it s fair
Firstly, the protein in the sandwich was at least well seasoned but the portions were quite underwhelming. The real problem came from the cilantro garnish that was in my sandwich. Very bruised(most likely old) cilantro had been used to garnish an already only decent sandwich, ruining the entire experience for me. I was also the only customer so its not like the employees were in a rush. Just simply didnt care enough.
Really good Bahn mi, one of the better places in the city.
Legit the best in Toronto! Eat here very often. Super good food!
The pork made both of us sick. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE
food is absolutely delicious ! servers r nice and friendly and the place and decor is spotless and cute.
Delicious banh mi! I ordered the classic pork one and was not at all disappointed. Pork was very tasty, bread perfect, and veggies crisp. Will definitely return to try their other sandwiches.
Large portion, great price, winning sandwich
I got the tofu banh mi and I have to say besides the sauces everything else was sub par. The carrots were not pickled and instead were fresh grated (not how it should be with banh mi), but most disappointing is that the baguette was not even toasted (just plain). Even Banh Mi Bros is better, and that s a chain restaurant. Considering the high price (compared to other Banh mi outlets) and the poor quality, probably won t consider again.
No help at all when I tried to order from DoorDash and Uber
My favorite so far in Toronto for a quick Banh Mi. Fresh ingredients, flavorful sauces, tender meat and a good bun! Food
Always delicious with incredibly fresh ingredients. Super easy to order on line and pick up.
Ive had sandwiches a few times, and the flavours are amazing, but the meat quality is terrible. After my lemongrass chicken banh mi had FOUR hard pieces of gristle Ive decided Im not going back. Did I just eat pigeon??
Best banh mi i have had in Toronto!
Good sandwich, but the bubble tea is really subpar.
Honestly cant say enough good things. Ive been to both Bloor and Danforth locations. 5/5 would recommend.
I have probably ordered and picked up food here an embarrassing number of times. However, the reason for so is because the food is consistently SO GOOD. I drool at the thought of eating a sandwich and whenever I am actually eating one, I swear every bite is always as good as the last. Never boring to eat and always delicious. Please do yourself a favour and support this business! Thank you Komi for all of the lunches!
SO GOOD. I had the home style pork bahn mi and it was exactly how I dreamed. So fluffy, crispy, crunchy, tender. Delicious. Thank you for being a beacon of light, Komi!
Ive had my fair share of banh mi in Toronto, but this is the best! Generous portions, tasty & fresh ingredients. Friendly staff too. Ive been many times and will be back many more!
Classic pork banh mi is delicious. Meat is flavourful. Good size sandwich and texture overall. Use butter here instead of pate, which is less indulgent than the real thing. People working the shop are friendly!
Excellent and authentic banh mi - I d visit more often if it was cheaper.
Stopped in on a whim, and soo glad I did. Ordered the Classic Pork Bahn Mi, which was very good. Intended to just eat half, but couldnt help myself. Staff were very friendly too! Happy to have you in the neighborhood :)
Decided to give Komi a shot and ordered the Calvin s style beef via DoorDash yesterday. Overall the sandwich was delicious - the bread was soft and fresh and the beef was tasty. I had to dock a star because this is basically a carrot sandwich with a small portion of beef. Would definitely be 5 stars if it wasn t mostly carrots.
These guys make an awesome sandwich that you should definitely try as soon as possible.
Amazing banh mi! The most flavourful lemongrass chicken I ve ever had. It was a great portion, filling, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend 10/10
We ordered the Komi Hai Phong BBQ pork banh mi and Komi milk tea today. It was a very satisfying meal. The banh mi consisted of fresh fluffy bread, with a nice crunch and was filled pickled veggies, and perfectly seasoned pork, cooked to order. The milk tea was one of best I ve had - just the right flavour and sweetness. Think I drank a little too quickly because it was rather good. Overall, Komi is great for those who want a no-frills and tasty banh mi experience.
We had the shrimp rolls, the Pork and Rice and the Beef and rice. It was all awesome, and we really enjoyed it. The place was super clean too, so I was encouraged. I called ahead and they let me just walk in, pay, and walk out. It was ready when I arrived. Nice people running the place too, so that was a good touch.
Tasty and delicious banh mi when youre craving something a bit different than the usual. Ordered the House Style Pork and Lemongrass Chicken. Both were great, the meat was well-seasoned and juicy (not overcooked or dry here!). Packed with all the fixings, and the bread was *chefs kiss, you can tell its freshly baked. Will definitely order again, and looking forward to trying other items on the menu.
I had a pretty good sandwich, and bubble tea..
unbelievably amazing! 10/10.
The Sandwiches are amazing
One of the best vegetarian sandwiches that Ive ever had! I ordered through Uber eats, and it came fast and fresh! So tasty and filling! I would definitely recommend it!
order directly from the restaurant and not doordash/ubereats bc they mark up the prices. this place is really reasonably priced and tasty. I will be back
great taste good cuts of meat fresh veggies all come together to create some really good Banh mi. great local spot with great staff make sure you stop by
Delicious bahn mi . The French roll had great texture and two sandwiches we got were very tasty. The straight up grilled pork and steak with kimchi were great. Definitely ordering again.
Would ve given 5 stars but I didn t get the correct order, oh well! I ordered the pork house sandwich but ended up with beef, regardless it was super flavourful, saucy and the bread was perfectly crisp yet soft on the inside. Fresh rice paper sausage spring rolls were yummy but wish there was a bit more sausage, great sauce though. Solid bubble tea as well! Great unique addition to the neighbourhood, really glad there s somewhere close by with banh mi and bubble tea! would go again! :)
Komi house style sandwich is perfect. Good amount of meat and tastes great. Given the quality and the great price, its one of my go-to meals.
I ate it too fast and forgot to take a picture. 10/10, service wasn t quick but it was worth the wait. I got the honey pork Bahn mi, meat was tasty and ingredients fresh.
Growing up on $2 banh mis makes this seem expensive, but the immense flavour of the beef and drunken chicken may very well justify it. I do wish it was more filled. Baguette felt fresh and beats all baguettes ever. It would be great if I can get even less sugar in the bubble tea. The 50% less sugar option was still too sweet for me. Best of luck!
Very irresponsible Restaurant. I ordered my Pho around 11.20 AM. My uber driver arrived at 12.15 pm. And the owner told me they were not ready with the soup at the time, [RESTAURANT IS NOT READAY AT LUCH] so they could not sent out my order. This was not acceptable! I was starving! And what I got was a sorry note and refund? You are a Restaurant not a stationery store! If I can eat a sorry note or refund, why would I order from you? You should paid the driver to wait! Not just have him came with emty bag without my pho!
lately has been getting wrong orders and the taste is not as good as when it first opens :( this happened multiple times already with me
Be sure to call in ahead of time or expect a 15-20 minute wait time. The staff looked somewhat inexperienced. My advice would be to warn your customers especially during lunch hour if its going to take awhile so they arent late. When I came in there was no other person in the store and was in a rush. In terms of the food, its okay before considering the price. Not amazing for 9-10$ overall very average and a little greasy. The salad is very bland and doesnt counter balance the amount of grease (they air fry the bread as well).
Awesome. The Tofu Habenero sandwich was unreal!
Went to go try this place because a colleague of mone told me that there was place close by that opened up. I ordered my sandwich, lookin forward to trying it. The person that took my order, took my money and game me my change. The same person started preparing my sandwich. Thinking he was using utensils that maybe after he will change his gloves. He proceeded to grab out several buns from the toaster for other peoples orders. He then started to stuff my sandwich with all the fixings. I told him after he never changed his gloves and no I didnt eat the sandwich. You guys are in the food industry. It should be in your top priority for cleanliness especially at these times and moments.
Good in a pinch if you re craving Bahn Mi, but there are better options in the city. Sandwiches are kind of greasy and a bit over sauced. Great customer service tho!
Got their house special sandwich for a friend. He likes it ! Quite tasty.
Its a very clean restaurant.
Had the grilled pork banh mi, the flavor of meat & sauce were good but the bun wasn t flaky and had very little pickled radish & parsley (a lot of carrots). The most concerning was the food safety - the person at the cash wore the SAME pair of gloves doing many tasks including taking orders, grabbing the raw meat box to put the meat on the grill (with tongs) and then making cold drinks. I was very glad she didn t have time to pack my order.
Very fresh, very friendly. We ve enjoyed all we have sampled!
Amazing flavours, must try!!! Service was amazing, portions were get, and fast take out. This is my new favorite bahn mi spot :)
Delicious lemon grass chicken sandwich!
Very delicious but I feel like the bubble teas cost alot for there sizes, but still very delicious worth the extra definetly!
Came in to support a local business took over 15 mins for a simple banh mi. They prioritzed delivery orders. Will not return.
Grew up on banh mi s but stopped eating meat as an adult. This is one of the best vegetarian banh mi s I ve had! I love the bread and I think there s just the right amount of all the ingredients. I added an egg, which isn t an option at a lot of banh mi places. My boyfriend ended up ordering two more the next day because they re just so delicious! Would love if there were other vegetarian or pescatarian options such as the spring rolls and vermicelli dishes.
Great banh mi sandwiches and love the spring rolls.
Excellent food
I was delightfully surprised with their marinated tofu sandwich! Very tasty, lots of sauce, good, bun, nice ratios of veggies would definitely recommend this place! Honestly when I visited Vietnam I dont remember the vegetarian Bahn mi sandwiches being as good as this. And the people are very sweet which is a nice bonus.
I ordered from uber eat, the chicken had tons of cartilage in the sandwich, i wouldnt order again.
Ordered the pork and the honey garlic chicken. The pork is clearly the signature and was great, chicken was decent but carrott to chicken ratio underwhelming. Pricey for banh mi but its quality. Wanna try the beef next time
Great lunch place to go if u like bubble tea and a sandwich
Delicious, fresh and did I mention delicious! Delivered in less the 30 min and a definite new regular for me
I came to get some refreshments. I ordered the Mango green tea, and you can customize the level of the sweetness and ice. I asked for regular sweetness and less ice and the drink was too sweet. And I m the kind of person that would drink condensed milk and that was too sweet for me. So if you re not a fan of that kind of stuff make sure to ask for less sugar. Place doesn t have dine-in or standing counter for eating. Food is simple and prices are very affordable.
Nice Vietnamese lunch food location with tasty bubble tea! The food was made fresh and super fast, and the shop owners were very kind. The interior is designed with a clean and minimal aesthetic
Good bubble tea.
Lemongrass chicken sandwich was delightful.
I m so glad I found this place and I ve been a few times since. They have the best tasting sandwiches and their bread is always fresh (I had a bad experience with another place where the bread was hard and it ruined the experience for me). Order the honey pork!!
This was some really good food. Ordered a grilled pork with rice, an extra side of beef and a grilled pork banh mi. I did that expecting to have some leftovers for tomorrow but that didnt happen. I ate everything - was that good. Looking forward to ordering from here again.
First time there. We had the pork Banh Mi sandwiches, and pork vermicelli. Wonderful flavour. Nice clean little shop as well. Will definitely go back.
Best Bahn Mi in Toronto, by far. All other dishes are amazing as well. Great portions. Fair price. Very high quality. Very consistent. I order from here almost every week. Highly recommend.
Didn t get a chance to take a picture, it looked so delicious I just dug right in! Definitely recommend the pork banh mi and bubble tea was great too. Will be ordering from here again!!
They never say the truth about waiting time , if they say 5 minutes =means 20 minutes etc..
The Pork Banh Mi sandwich was AMAZING!!! The Pho was good also...but I subtracted a star because there werent any bean sprouts with it :( and there needs to be more coriander as well..amazing restaurant though kudos
Wow what a huge disappointment based on the volume of good reviews. Was very excited to see that we have a banh mi sandwich shop in the neighbourhood until todays experience. I thought I ordered the honey pork banh mi but all I could taste was sour oily carrot...not pickled carrot. There was barely any pork and the pork pate I added couldnt be found. I asked for cilantro and there were 3 leaves...everyone knows the taste is in the stems...none of those. ..just 3 lonely leaves. I will say that the pork sausage rolls were very fresh and tasty...thats the only reason they are receiving two stars.
So delicious! #5 is my favourite.
Welcome to the neighborhood :). I had the house special (pork), which was juicy, and tasty. The bread made the difference for me. Worth the 5-10mins wait, every order is prepared fresh! My only comment is that the BBT was too sweet. Less sugar please.
Great service. Simple menu with quality choices is to be appreciated. Enjoyed the passion fruit bubble tea. Staff was following COVID protocols. Will visit again and highly recommend!
The best Banh mi I have ever tasted so far in city. Will be back more often .
I ve eaten here twice so far and love it. Better than Banh Mi Boys, my regular go-to.
Got a milk bubble tea which was super good and a banh mi which was also delicious this afternoon. Friendly service!
the food is not good
The sandwiches are simple (in a great way) and amazing. Well priced, delicious and super quick. Highly recommend
Best banh MI! Try the drunken chicken!
Advice is to call ahead, but very very tasty.
Delicious banh mi! 100% approved! Freshly prepared once ordered.
Tried the lemongrass chicken and the house style grilled pork. Wow. Both were so juicy and tasty! The only constructive feedback I have to offer is that I found the sweet thai sauce to be a bit too sweet (or maybe there was just too much of it in my banh mi) and it made it harder to taste the savouriness of the pork. In the future, I ll order it with sriracha instead! This place is as good (and maybe even better) than banh mi boys. Seriously, try it! :)
Delicious sandwich, friendly service.
Excellent and authentic banh mi. I had the tofu and my friend had beef and we both loved ours, and we ve been to Vietnam so we know what an authentic banh mi tastes like. This is the real deal! The bread is outstanding, fresh and crispy on the outside. Filling is generous and flavourful. A must try.
Sandwiches are top notch, fresh and filling. Staff is friendly too. Call ahead to skip the wait.
