Hi the service was very nice but the sandwich was pretty much the worst sandwich I can remember eating. I had the Buffalo chicken and it was swimming in franks red hit and mayo. I joked to my wife that it was more like soup than a sandwich. I ended up throwing most of it away. My stomach hurts just thinking about it. Sorry to be so harsh, like I said the people were very nice

Wow wow wow The special sandwich they had was a bhan mi and wow so good. Truffle ham and cheddar with bacon wow will be back !! A little pricy but its ok we dont mind supporting. Food : 5/5

Cookies are incredible and all of the market food looks amazing, but youve gotta get a sandwich. The weekly special (Pierogi Hoagie) was outstanding, I cannot wait to come back and try everything else! The service was also so warm and friendly - just wish I couldve gotten a cold coffee!

I went in to trade 4 quarters for a loonie. I was told no. Okay I said, Oh Im your neighbour, Ive bought food before.. may I trade it from here?, and printed to the tip jar. She grabbed the jar as if I was going to steal it and replied but its our tips!. Lol dont be Black and go in here. I was never welcomed as other Non BIPOC are and my child has been ignored several times when weve been shopping in there. Not very neighbourly

Falafel sandwich only had lettuce and maybe half a tomato slice. Not particularly tasty or interesting. Restaurant forgot a salad I ordered through Uber. Could be that it wasnt good because of take out/delivery so ill try again, but first time was not great.

Honestly it feels like a crime for such a well rated sandwich place to make such a bad and expensive sandwich. I had the buffalo chicks hoagie and haven t been this disappointed in a meal in a long time.

Cute sandwitch shop. Bread is quite thick, rly good tho just wish bread was a bit fluffier. Maybe but maybe a diff sandwitch had a diff bread. One of the sandwitches also came with so much mustard it was dripping. So kinda too mustardy for the price

Nothing beats a sandwich done right, quality ingredients put together with care - have tried multiple different hoagies and theyre all amazing so far! PLUS, they sell and support small business and local products. Today is their one year anniversary, heres to many more!!!

The sandwiches here are amazing and so fresh. My go to is the chicken club but cant go wrong with any of the choices.

You may come here for their hoagies and that is fine because they are amazing. So much they make Subway look like garbage. But what is actually the true hidden gem of this place? FRENCH ONION SOUP GRILLED CHEESE. Why is this so delicious? Why did I eat it with their finger sandwiches on the side? What sort of carbohydrate-based heaven has been established within this building? GO CHECK IT OUT.

I ve been grabbing a sandwich from Phancy s about once a month for the past 6 months and they have never disappointed me. The sandwiches are large, flavourful and made quickly, the staff are very nice and the atmosphere is comfortable and cozy! Love this spot!!

This business is above and beyond one of the most dynamic, interesting, and reliable businesses in Toronto, let alone, the most delicious place on earth. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and dedicated. I happened upon them after hearing the name and Phancy Catering for years. Worth every minute and penny spent in the shop. It doesnt get any better than Phancys Bodega in Toronto!

Huge fan of Phancys, and so great that they have a physical location these days! Expect to pay a little more than you would for a sandwich from a big chain or a grocery store, but the quality and flavour makes it more than worth it. The Bodega aspect is great for picking up interesting ingredients as well!

Chicken in the sandwich was frozen. Beef tasted off. Terrible experience.

Ordered on Uber Eats. The beef was stale and the chicken was frozen. The flavours of the cheese, sauce and the meat unfortunately didn t work together. It s like they didn t even try.

Service was friendly and great but the prices really are quite ridiculous - $21 (this includes tax) for essentially what is a baguette and some filling.

Ive had a couple sandwiches (including the Chicago dog hoagie pictured), a couple drinks, and some baked goods. The truth is, the foods are really yummy. The ingredients are fresh and the sandwiches are really good. However, the baguette sandwiches are generally about $17 CAD alone which is pretty expensive for a singular sandwich. Ive been known to enjoy a pricey sandwich myself at times, but I guess it just hits a bit different when the ingredients are largely deli sliced meats and shredded lettuce. Is it their right to have a pricey sandwich? Yes of course. Again, the ingredients seem like quality and theyre a small biz that isnt exploiting producers or workers like major chains. Am I just a brokie? Yes. But its just a shame because Id love to go to this spot more often but I just go once a month. 5 stars for the food but 4 stars for making me think too hard about my financial sitch.

Had the beef dip today and it was phenomenal highly recommend it the broccolini in it is a great touch . Cant wait to go back!

A lovely new addition to the neighborhood. Incredible sandwiches and tasty soups. I m currently working my way through the menu - so far I ve tried about half of their sandwiches, and I have loved every single one!

We live in the neighborhood and were sad to lose the previous occupant of this space. However I walked by today and it smelled so good I went in! Was extremely pleasantly surprised. Had a roast beef sandwich that melted in my mouth. Husband had a French onion grilled cheese. The lemon square was a bit dry/crumbly for my taste but overall would definitely recommend this spot, you wont be disappointed.

Ive been a huge fan of this place for a few years now and am so glad they have an actual storefront. Everything Ive had from catering menu has been fantastic. Its been a huge hit for group events like office parties, and catering for birthdays and Christmas parties too. The takeout and sandwich menu is also fantastic. Great portion sizes and such good flavor. The grilled cheese sandwiches are amazing. Try them all!

Food was tasty but prices are very high. Over $20 a sandwich after tax and tip. It was a good sandwich, but I dont see myself returning often with these prices.

Had the vegan hoagie. Baguette was so soft and fresh which I find rare. Might have to say this is the best vegan sandwich in the city. Also the bodega is stocked with the best pantry items. Highly recommend the spot!!

I love this place so much

Theres something ethereal about the bread here. The crunch of the outside, coupled with the soft airy interior, creates a truly one of a kind sandwich with its fixings. Each sandwich Ive had takes me back to that episode from Cooked called Air where you know passion is at the forefront of these creations.

I ve been eating Phancy s food for years now from their catering business, and I love everything. It s comfort food made with care and always fresh ingredients. I m so excited that they finally have their own shop. Their finger sandwiches are to die for!!

This place is the tops. Had an amazing limited hoagie - a perogi hoagie - and it was a deliciously messy delight that left me stuffed but also wanting more. They have lots of other good looking treats and in-house made stuff, which I look forward to trying, and tasty cold boutiquey sodas. Wish I lived closer to this place but maybe my waistline is glad I dont. Oh and the service was great, the dude who made my hoagie was chill and the kind, stylin lady who helped me choose what to get is surely an icon of class and style and admittedly I want to be her friend. Anyway, cant wait to eat fancy via Phancy again, and I highly recommend this p(a)lace.

Love Phancy s food - so happy for their brand new storefront! Their sandwiches are always so delicious, and absolutely love some of their special offerings such as the afternoon tea boxes offered around Mother s Day! We ve had their catering many times for work lunches at the office (always a hit!). We also love their food so much, we actually had them cater our wedding! The menu was amazing, and we had SO many comments after our event in regards to how delicious the food was. The late night charcuterie table was also a huge hit! Highly recommend for a casual lunch stop, as well as for any event catering needs!

The grilled cheese is so fantastic; the perfect comfort food. The French onion is my fave and you definitely should get the tomato soup to dip it in. From the cold subs/hoagies, the tuna jalapeño is my favourite. I hope they do hot versions of the subs in the winter, they all would be GREAT in a warm version.

I think the prices are reasonable and hope it doesn t deter anyone from giving this shop a fair shot. The Buffalo chicken sando is top-tier!!!

Went earlier this week on my way to Markham from Hamilton. Ive been wanting to try their sandwiches before they even opened their storefront. I had the tuna jalapeno popper sandwich. The bread was perfectly soft and crunchy accordingly. The cream cheese almost tasted like an unsalted, sweet, french butter, with a hint of ranch, doesnt over power at all. I also had the tomato balsamic soup, perfectly tangy and seasoned. The ginger seltzer was recommended and was delicious. I cannot wait to try the finger sandwiches. I truly went in for those but apparently sell out quickly. Next time!

This is such a great spot to grab a quick bite to eat and pick up a few goodies for home. Everything Ive had from Phancys has been delicious, but my favourite is the Ungrilled Cheese!

Looks like a shiny, pristine diner from the 30s maybe? Beautiful white tiling. VERY unique selection of pantry items. Soup isnt amazing but far from awful. Sandwiches are next level, out of this world! Baguettes are crunchy yet soft. Generous size! Especially with the filling. Limited seating but thats not a bad thing. Although, I had a very messy sandwich (not a bad thing) that wouldnt have travelled well so Im glad I chose to eat in. Keep that in mind. Best sandwiches on this side of town! Everyone needs to go! Grade: A-

Ordered a chicken club sandwich. I made a pretty simple request of adding pickled jalapeños, they wrote me a note that they can t add extra toppings as they are extra $$. Fyi to store: Jalapeños weren t on the list provided for extra items when ordering, so I thought they might be a regular topping/at no additional cost. Anyway, the sandwich was super bland/lacked flavour. Bacon was super rubbery, took most of it off. Sauce is supposed to be garlic mayo, but tasted like basic regular mayo. The only good part was the bread (two stars for the bread alone). Wouldn t buy again and I don t recommend if you prefer well seasoned food.

We were super excited to try the sandwiches, coffee, and cookies- but the sandwiches were SUPER disappointing. Save the $40 you d spend on two sandwiches and a coffee, and explore another option. Chicken club sandwich was extremely dry and flavourless- no seasoning, just a bit of mayo on the untoasted bread, loaded up with shredded lettuce. For $16 we felt bad to waste the generous amount of bland chicken and brought it home to season remake into chicken salad. The hoagie was fine, but doesn t compare to any other cold cut sandwich you could get for half the price. Would maybe try the melted cheese sandwiches- they looked a lot better! But we were recommended the chicken club and hoagie sadly Coffee was great! Shortbread cookie was mealy but the flavour options were nice.

Super friendly place with amazing food! I ve got delicious chocolate cake and coffee and my husband sandwich which he liked a lot. It was also great discovery that the shop support local small businesses. Very happy with our breakfast, will come again !

Meagan at Phancys was beyond accommodating. The basket I ordered is perfect for a friend for Christmas. She helped me make the right selections, and she took her time to walk me through all the possible options on the phone. Curb side pick up was easy and accessible. Awesome!

The most delicious high tea Ive had! Sandwiches were all delicious and scones were so light and tasty. Want to try other things in their store!

Cant say enough wonderful things about Meagan and Phancy Bodega. Placed a catering order and Meagan was beyond helpful and accommodating. Food was spectacular and a huge hit with our guests. Cant wait to order again soon!
