Great food and fast service. Recommend.
Giving a 5 star for my recent experience since the last time I was here more than 5 years ago. I got a lobster roll from here a long time ago and it was so tiny and small that I never came back again. Decided to give it another try as their menu looks revamped and I was surprisingly blown away. they have grilled seafood where you get to pick 2 sides out of their massive menu of sides and they did not cheap out on the portion. food tasted great, $17 well spent. This is the grilled calamari with sweet potato friend and caprese salad. I had to split this in to 2 meals
While the food is tasty, the portion size is small. The piece of fish on the fish sandwich was tiny and the “side house salad” was just bagged iceberg lettuce with no dressing. I’ve always wanted to try Busters Sea Cove but unfortunately I don’t think the value is there at this location.
Friendly staff and good attention to my shrimp allergy. Ordered a lobster roll and Greek village salad and mac n cheese. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the lobster is overcooked and/or from-frozen. That's why a different reviewer thought it was crab. The meat is dry and lacks flavour. I wasn't expecting a lot from this inland food court. They could greatly improve the lobster roll by adding butter -- lots of it -- to the bread AND lobster. The macaroni and cheese could be improved greatly as well, because the top crust is tough to cut and the entire thing could benefit from being more ooey-gooey. They add a lot of sides and pickles so at least you don't leave hungry. $25 including tax for the above trio is not terrible but also means I would not return.
Came here to purposely try the halibut sandwich, which was not as good as another place I eat at but it came with two sides and the selection for them is plenty. I got the greek salad and mac and cheese which were both pretty good. Would try again and worth it if looking for something different from a burger or pizza.
Convenient location in Commerce court located in the PATH. Delicious and very fairly priced. Tried the octopus and calamari from their “from the grill” choices - both were excellent. Sides such as their caprese salad, greek salad and sweet potato were all also very tasty. Note: If you are here in the middle of the workday, be prepared for a short wait (~5 to 10 min) as your food is made fresh to order.
Got the halibut and chips. Fish was really good. Fries were trash, all fries were 2” long. For $23 bucks, prolly won’t be back. Ketchup was also no name garbage. Other food did look alright tho.
Amazing food, great value! Some of ratings and reviewers mention the food is great, but they felt it was on the expensive side. That simply isn’t true. You can’t compare Busters to a “Mac Fish” style meal, the quality is just far superior. You’re getting real food, cooked to order. That’s obviously going to cost a little bit more, and take a few more minutes to prepare. I prefer having a fresh cooked meal for lunch, rather than something that’s been sitting around for hours. I’ve eaten here several times and always enjoyed it.
Amazing
Overpriced garbage plus there is rude young man working there hes the owners son he has a nasty attidue and evne worse ego.Go to the buster sea cove at front street or st Lawrence market much better services.
The shrimp po boy was great. Quick service even during a busy lunch.
Best seafood in the area. Also have a location at St. Lawrence Market. Always very fresh. You can t really get it this fresh for lunch anywhere else. Lots of healthy options too.
I always had a wonderful experience here. The staff are well trained and so professional. They know their customers by heart
Sofia, is great, and attentive to details. Great customer service Kid-friendliness: Sofia, is great, and attentive to details. Great customer service Food : 5/5 |
Good
Very good quality seafood with affordable prices.
Friendly customer service - A1 Lobster Rolls
Amazing food and service! A must try if you re in Toronto
Great
Amazing food
The food is great!
Sophia was great and very customer friendly. Food was also amazingly fresh!
Amazing lobster roll!
Great food, and Pleasant staff, what more could you want!
Great sea food place
Amazing food!
I eat here regularly and the food is always really good. Staff is very friendly.
Perfectly done lobster roll with french fries,
One and done. $22 for cold and ridiculously salted fries and over battered halibut. It was a Friday and end of a week, so ill give it the benefit of being tired after a week. But I did not finish the meal. Many more options available for better price and taste.
Placed my order asking for no oil garnish at the end. This modification was missed and the staff argued with me that it was no big deal. Eventually a remake was offered but it ended up being only for the main and not the sides which also now had additional oil on top. Had to argue again for an extended period of time that this was not what I ordered in order to get a proper remake.
Was there for lunch on Thursday, Aug 1st, I ordered the lobster roll, it was delicious, and was there at lunchtime. I was surprised how fast the service was. I highly recommend this place.
Fantastic. Went before it was open and enjoyed the luxury atmosphere of darkness and peace. I enjoyed a granola bar while sitting right out front. 5 stars
One of my favourite places to go for lunch. Staff is the sweetest & food is always fresh to order.
Lobster roll looked and tasted like crab salad with a touch of lobster . I wouldn t recommend it!!
Very tasty
I usually come in during quieter hours and the staff is lovely, from the linecooks to the cashier at the POS system. I went today during a big rush and they were killing it, you can tell there was a level of urgency to get those orders out - they were organized. It seemed someone placed one really big order at the time of the rush and this one guy handled expo so well. The food is always good and the quality never changes no matter how busy they were. The staff there definitely deserves more appreciation from whoever stops by especially during a rushing hour.
Always tasty, always fresh. My top option at Commerce court
Really good option in the food court, fresh fish
Friendly service, delicious food!!
Love this Buster s Sea Cove location! I always come by after my workouts and they always treat me so kindly! And the food is always fresh and yummy
This place is great I thought the price was a little steep but for the quality and quantity its great. The staff is always really friendly too Food
Customer service was amazing!
The Staff here at Busters are superb!!! Great Service! William is the man! Food
Absolutely blown away by this place. Didnt even realize it was the same company as the one at St Lawrence Market till I looked it up. Had the lobster roll and I loved it. Def had a great amount of lobster and not too much sauce. The bread is great and Im happy the lobster wasnt warm. I got vinegar cause I love vinegar on my fries but I didnt need it because the seasoning was so good and light too. Also very chill service, would go again Wheelchair accessibility: Its located in the path and is accessible cause there is an elevator, however sometimes you need to contact someone for the elevator to go
Great Food and the manager is a very nice guy!
I just had the most bleeped up experience here. Came around 2pm so its not busy at all. I wanted fried calamari, no fries, substitute salad instead. Pretty simple request, right? I ask the cashier if they could do that. She says, yes, and to clarify I said, fried calamari with salad and she repeats back to me, shrimp Po boy on a bun and makes a little bun signal with her hands. Mind you, we are both not ESL, so this is not a language barrier thing. I again repeat to her my order. She says the PO boy comes on a bun. So for the 3rd time I tell her what I want and then she bun signals me again. So I had to say, look, at no point did I say shrimp or even bun. 2 more times this happens. And I just couldnt believe it. I was straight mad at this point. Another person took over and I apologized for looking so agitated. I explained to the new person what just happened and she said it was the system, blah, blah. I said , no, its NOT the system and its not a language barrier thing either. She was very apologetic, all the while the first girl is giving ME side eye. She didnt look stoned, but she might as well have been.
Refried fries and a serving of attitude.
Quality seemed to have gone downhill. I used to like this place but last time I was very disappointed with my order. The fish was dry and out seems to be spoiled. And the fries was disgusting. The wait time was too long.
Salty is the prominent flavor on the lobster roll
Tried it out because I heard it was famous. Halibut tasted fresh but the portion size was *very* small for the $18 price. The fish was almost smaller than the coleslaw jar. Never seen such a small fish and chips. Wont be coming back.
I was so excited to try the lobster roll at a recent food truck festival, but I was disappointed in what I received. The bun was good- nice and soft, however the lobster inside wasn t so great. This is my first time having a lobster roll so perhaps this was what it is supposed to taste like but it just wasn t a hit with me. Tasted like mayo mostly, and I had hoped to taste more of the lobster. I also thought it would be warm, but again, maybe this is what it s supposed to taste like. Definitely does not match the photos posted on their Instagram account. I don t think this was worth the $22 I paid.
Halibut was bitter, not sure maybe grilled not in a proper way
Great food/offerings! I had the grilled calamari & added fried shrimps. The meal comes with 2 sides. Food was delish & the service was very good too. It s a bit pricey tbh but it s worth it. You won t be disappointed & you ll leave feeling content/full!
Overpriced. Small pieces of halibut. Plate filled up with fries. Thought this would be a sit down restaurant but This is in a food court.
I was quite happy to see a nice seafood place in the food court, as they are not common, so I gave it a try and was quite pleased. The food is cooked on the spot, when you order they throw it on the grill, it seems none of the seafood is pre-cooked, which was a pleasant surprise. I had the fried shrimp, which was excellent, but many of the dishes looked good, a step up from what you expect at a food court. The prices are also fair, and the dishes come with some nice fresh sides (I had the chickpeas and Greek salads). Sadly, everything comes in disposable packaging, which would prevent me from coming back often, food courts really need to switch to returnable & reusable packaging and cutlery (some have, and I tend to gravitate there).
Order halibut grill and potato wedges. The fish was dry and not fresh and the potato wedges were hard due to over fry/grill. Overall, not a very good experience.
Professional and reliable
Friendly. Excellent thank you
Broad variety, good price and pleasant place.
The food is really fresh and tasty, with good size portions. The only downside is that the fish and chips, although really good with halibut, is kinda expensive.
Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich is amazing
Sadly not as good as the BSC in the St Lawrence Market. Half the lobster in the Lobster Roll that you d get at the St Lawrence Market. And not the same attention to detail in cooking/preparation. I am being harsher only because the one in St Lawrence Market is the best!
I love this place. Ive had the octopus and fries several times and always enjoyed the dish, though it must be difficult to cook correctly. I recently had a fantastic oyster poboy sandwich.
Best fish in the PATH !!! Staff know their stuff and always give good advice
I love what they prepare, very fresh and at the moment. I tried the grilled octopus and it was delicious accompanied by a salad that I had a hard time finishing because it was so vast. Maybe today Ill try the shrimp.
Good food. Very long line at lunch, thou. Great if you know what you want and can order thru Ritual then just come to pick it up.
Amazing place for sea food.
I like nearly everything there except the fries.
Had the halibut today and went with a Greek salad to try and balance it out. The fish was great not oily or dry cooked perfectly. Would be better with fries but what can you do the salad did the job.
Great food, but please stop with all the plastic packaging for Ritual orders. There s plastic bags for each individual order with plastic cutlery and salt and pepper in individual plastic bags :( It s bad for the ocean.
Fast, fresh and yummy.
Its a real taste of the East Coast Canada
A bit overpriced for a food court shop, but I guess most people in downtown make decent money, so its not a factor. The sandwiches are really good, and all their meals like fish and chips are quite a healthy portion. Just not cheap enough to eat every day.
Surprisingly good considering that this is a fast food joint. Had the grilled snapper which was cooked just right. Salad was pedestrian but thats not why you get food from Busters. Located in Commerce Court at Bay and King St
Fried cod sandwich is one of their best
Delicious shrimp Po-Boy. Lobster roll was average, for the price
Keep coming back to try different menu items and have not been disappointed
Good fish but way overpriced.
I love chowder!!!!
Absolutely amazing. This place has become my go to restraunt everytime I forget to bring my lunch. The sandwhiches here are my favourite especially the Grilled Halibut or Salmon sandwhich. The calamari Po boy is also another amazing option (see picture below). Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a solid place to get Sea food or sandwhiches.
This place is worthy of the long line up! the food is soo delicious! I find some of the menu a bit pricey -- some of them are okay. Overall, Id say its worth it to try. I was satisfied with the taste of the the food!
Must try: Shrimp po boy
Pretty bad if you order on hunger hub. Ordered crab cakes with side of fries, got 2 tiny crab cakes and huge box of fries.
Place is packed and for good reason. Food is good service is fast, prices are good. Portions are a bit wanting. Good for a quick lunch break.
Large portions great food. Long line up at lunch. Better to order ahead with Ritual.
I love this place! The food is so darn good! Get the grilled salmon sammich!
Okay fish & chips and sandwiches - not memorable
Some dishes are disappointing, for example the chicken shrimp soup has no chicken or shrimp in it.
The staff here go above and beyond for you. So incredibly sweet and caring ! I have digestive issues and they NEVER hesitate to accommodate. They are always trying to feed me more food which is the sweetest ! And they know how to cook seafood. They cook Salmon and Octopus better than $$$$ restaurants and I ve tried a lot !
Love this place. Gets busy during the lunch hour but the wait is worth it!
Great place for lunch, top notch food, very reasonable prices.
A bit pricey for lunch
Glad they opened up a closer location so I dont have to walk over to st Lawrence market anymore. This is a popular seafood takeout place in Toronto with always long lineups. Fresh fish and it is clearly reflected in the price. Everything on the menu is tasty even the French fries. I recommend the halibut and octopus. The lobster poutine was overrated, Id go for the lobster roll instead.
Excellent fish for lunch. Wide selection.
Staff moved from the old St Laurence Market, and they are just as fast. Food is good and fresh / freshly made. If you use Ritual it will beat any other waitimes, especially during the lunchtime rush. A bit on the pricier end but then again its not a massive chain. Can recommend the grilled halibut or the red snapper. The latter taking a bit longer to grill.
Always fresh
Swordfish sandwich....with hot sauce. Never dissapoints!! Delicious!
Live the cod sandwich
We ordered lobster roll with fries and shrimp poboy spicy! The food was delicious - they were very busy but very quick turnaround time in making our food! Very much recommend. Crab cake burger from busters on a brioche bun with pico de gayo, mayo, slice of cheddar cheese and coleslaw with fries on the side. The crab cake wasn t cooked properly. I wouldn t have it again
Had the Grilled Salmon Sandwich for lunch. The food tasted great and Im definitely coming back.
Best grilled salmon sandwich Ive ever had!!!
No good food cooked here. Dont waste your money
Perfect for lunch. It can get busy but they are on ritual! The Lobster roll is a must.
So . . .today I checked in at Busters Sea Cove, and I was honestly surprised to see that this joint has received a mere 3.5 stars rating. The ever-forming line up in front of this place makes me think that I am probably not wrong to think that either! I got to know Busters Sea Cove in St. Lawrence market many moons ago, and was super excited to find out that they have opened a location closer to work in the financial district. The experience is mostly the same as the staple location in St. Lawrence: long line ups, fresh fish grilled in front of your eyes, a chef that is constantly yelling, tasty hot sauce and reasonable prices. Personally, I am a big fan of the rainbow trout sandwich (in the picture) which makes for a great lunch for a little more than $12. Sandwiches are served with coleslaw, and portions are reasonable - though not massive. The price is definitely not cheap compared to other food court options, but at least you get to eat real food . . .I would recommend for anyone in the financial district who is tired of eating half baked, bland tasting meals.
Stoped here for a bite after 5 so it wasnt very busy. The service was good and quick but i wish the food was better. I had the grilled octopus and breaded shrimp tacos and it was mostly slaw tacos with three shrimp and one small tentacle no exaggeration. The taste wasnt bad but overall not worth it. Their St.Lawrence location was so much better.
Nice variety of food! The food tastes sooo guuud! A little pricey if u are looking for budget food.
Decent food. Fresh seafood. The fish & chips are nice, but received a small portion of fish; if you order the halibut (2 small pieces) $16.25. The paeia was soggy but had a lot of fresh seafood in it ($16+). Prices are high, on avg. $16 dollars for a meal with no drink. The avg. Pricing for lunch here is usually $12 dollars. The fries are nice, but can be salty at times. Not the best seafood, however, not the worst either. Large menu, lots to choose from. Ate here twice, will return. Expect a solid 10 min wait for your food during lunch hours!
Maybe not the best location (Ive heard the St. Lawrence Market one is) but the food is great. Especially love the Hali Sandwich! - still lots to try. I like that I finally have a seafood fast food chain to rely on
I ordered the Halibut and chips for lunch today, fish was dry and no malt vinegar, just regular vineger and no packages of salt. Thats not Fish and chips for $16.00 its a rip off.
Hit and miss depending what you get but the crab cake is delicious!
Bad customer services, lady at the cashier yelled at us and cursing at us even after we ve done ordering. We ordered fish with salad but got fish with fries, asked for a coke zero but she gave us a regular one and after letting her know she smashed the drink and also smashed the card machine. Didn t expect that s what we paid for...
