Tried here grilled swordfish sandwich and it was awesome, I never tried this fish before, but it impressed me very much. Here they have a variety of choice of different fish, about which you could never heard before. Recommend to try sandwich with octopus or with swordfish!

The lobster roll is my favorite. I tried the calamari this time, but I didn’t like it. It was boring—nothing special, except that you know you’re eating grilled calamari. I suggest sticking with the lobster roll if you’re traveling to Toronto and not planning to come back. There are seats outside, but there are just too many birds trying to steal your food. It’s surely busy and hectic inside, but I recommend sitting inside if there’s any available seat. After meal, you can also enjoy the market place.

A lively, and often busy establishment. But the queue went down quickly for me. Good place for seafood that is fresh and affordable. Came here twice. The grilled halibut was generous, excellent char and not over cooked. The clam chowder was tasty, deep in flavor, and warming The lobster roll was good. It's not chunks of lobster, but you can tell its lobster meat still. Really crammed into the brioche bun. Will probably have it again.

I had a great experience at Buster's Sea Cove in St. Lawrence Market. Their famous dish lobster roll and salad 🦞 lived up to the hype, it was really delicious but little expensive! What stood out even more was the incredible service. The staff were extremely polite, friendly, and very communicative, making sure everything was perfect during my visit. The overall vibe of the place was pleasant, and I definitely recommend it for anyone visiting the market. It’s a solid spot for fresh seafood and great service!

We walked to St. Lawrence Market after visiting the Underpass Farmer's Market looking for something to eat for dinner. I wanted the clam chowder, but unfortunately was told it sold out. We ended up going for the crabcake sandwich and the featured crabmeat sandwich combo. The featured sandwich was good but I found my crabcake sandwich could use some more sauce as i found it on the dryer end. There's limited seating with one bigger communal table that can fit 8 and some bar seating around the corner.

Heard a lot about this market place, so decided to make the drive from Michigan to Toronto to check it out. Pretty busy and live place. Atmosphere was nice. Now onto the reviews: Our food came out quick that's a plus even though they were super busy. We order the lobster roll and the lobster bisque. Seeing all the hype on this roll I had to check it out, but to me it's just a lobster roll nothing really wow me. Taste blend like cold lobster meat. Would of been nice if they had butter over it to get flavor out of it. The portion was good better then a lot of place I'd been too. The Breading is nice, I think it was a great choice. Fries were pretty good. Pickle was not my cup of tea and I love Pickles and these just didn't do it for me. Lobster bisque was ok not bad it's just that I had my share of lobster bisque it just didn't top the chart in my opinion. But would love to go back and try other options they have on the menu. They have a great selection to choose from.

Should I have one last meal. May it be here. I like seafood. I am not a meat person. I have wanted a Po’ Boy sandwich for a long time. The Louisiana style isn’t done well or often in Toronto. So I was de-lighted when my partner and I went to St Lawrence today and found this spot had them. Along with many varieties of the sandwich. I got a shrimp one. It was in a word - perfection. I mean just try it and you will see. Next time I will get their octopus version of it. The line was long but the staff were very efficient and moved people though quickly. They make fresh to order and from what I saw everyone seemed to be loving what they got. All and all I found this great. Price point wise, it’s what you expect to pay for seafood anywhere. My sandwich was $12.75. Which I would say is very reasonable. I attached a photo for your reference. You can’t see it but under the shrimp the bun was loaded with onions, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and this delicious sauce. The bun was buttery and toasty on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The shrimp was fried perfectly while staying tender. The slaw was fine but what was amazing was the hot sauce. Very authentic Louisiana style flavours. Their menu is extensive and if you can stand the wait, you shall be rewarded with delicious eats.

Just hit up Buster's Sea Cove and wow, what a meal! I went for the Lobster Roll with fries and a Shrimp Po'Boy with onion rings, plus a bowl of Lobster Bisque on the side. Let me tell you, everything was on point. The **Lobster Roll** was loaded with fresh, tasty lobster meat—no skimping here. The roll was buttery and soft, just the way it should be. The fries were crispy, salty, and perfect for munching alongside the lobster. Then there's the **Shrimp Po'Boy**. Crispy fried shrimp, fresh toppings, and a killer sauce all wrapped up in a soft roll. And those onion rings? Golden, crunchy, and seriously addictive. To top it off, the **Lobster Bisque** was rich and creamy with a deep lobster flavor that just hits the spot. Super comforting and a great sidekick to the rest of the meal. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor—definitely worth the trip. That said, it was a bit on the pricey side. I didn’t mind too much since I’m here on vacation, but it’s probably not a spot I’d keep going back to regularly because of the cost. If you’re in the area and feel like treating yourself, Buster’s Sea Cove is definitely worth checking out!

Lobster roll was flavourless and dry. There were also pieces of its shell mixed into it. It was frustrating to repeatedly spit it out. The roll it was in was also dry It was all a mess and an EXPENSIVE waste of money.

Quick service, grilling the salmon right there, fresh! I love seafood and prices are decent given the huge Portions. Salmon with salad was 2 portions right there. It will be over 30 dollars in any restaurant and not as fresh. Also highly recommend the lobster bisque. Come with an empty stomach. Place can get busy at lunch but its worth the wait and the visit. Why pay 17 for pasta that costs 1 dollar when for the same you get fresh seafood. No brainer right there. Grilled octopus / calamari is also very nice. Vegetarian options: Well...its a seafood joint. Most likely limited apart from the fries. Ask how its cooked in case of contamination Dietary restrictions: Confirm with staff Parking: St Lawrence market has some deals with a parking lot Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes - main floor or market

Was pretty surprised with how bad the fried halibut was; mushy and tasteless is the best description. The service was ok and they gave me sandwich to the wrong person. I noticed and had to correct mixup. No lie, a fillet-o-fish with lettuce and tomato would have been better.

Edited: New review on October 31 2024: today I went there for my occasional usual which is the octopus sandwich. Huge disappointment to find that the octopus quantity in the sandwich shrunk to less than half than what I am used to. This is a cheap and commercial move from the restaurant because it means it doesn t care about its repeat customers. The sandwich is for 20$. So excuse me but you are getting the price of a decent sandwich. Never going back again. Old review: Tucked in the corner of st Lawrence market, this sea food eatery is really good. I tried the octopus po boy sandwich with fries. Excellent combination of sauce and toppings that go well with the grilled octopus on a sub. The fries were hot and fresh, which is something that you don t always get when you eat outside. I will come back again to try other stuff on the menu.

One of the best seafood joints in Toronto, hands down! You can try their Octopus, Po boy sandwich, seared Tuna, or succulent Scallops that melt in your mouth! The menu has a lot to offer, and this is a very busy place. So, before you hold up the line, make sure you know what you want. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. Once you get your food, head outside and sit at one of the picnic tables to enjoy the sun and your delicious meal, especially the Octopus!

This is a popular restaurant in the St. Lawrence Market. Queuing is a must, but the food is served very quickly. The lobster bisque is too salty. Most of the lobster burger meat is minced meat mixed with seasoning sauce and you can t taste the freshness and sweetness of the shrimp meat. I recommend the fried squid. Fresh, medium soft and hard

What a busy place! Efficient staff member that helped take orders, calling them to other staff, while we were waiting in line. By the time we went through the line then paid, wait was minimal. Tried grilled halibut with salad, $22.15 was current price in September 2024. Halibut was 2 thin steaks that seemed a bit on the dry side, I m guessing due to how thin the halibut steaks were. Another member in our party tried crab roll with fries priced at $19.95. Good meal choice.

Great spot if you are craving seafood with salad. Tried the calamari and octopus salad, both were flavorful, fresh and delicious. Food was well packaged for takeout. There are tables around available for seating although it is usually quite packed. The wait for food was quite short although it was fairly busy. Note: The way they serve here is slightly different to their commerce court location! The commerce court location allows you to choose two pre-made sides (ie. caprese, greek salad, fries - all salads are pre-mixed). Here at the market, you choose either a type of salad (greek or caesar), or fries directly. If salad is chosen, dressing is then provided in separate containers.

A must visit at St. Lawrence market. They have fresh delicious sea food at fair prices, plus it s at St. Lawrence, so just a great area anyways. I got the grilled mahi mahi sandwich and it was the one of the best fish sandwiches I ever had. The fish was grilled to perfection, both the external char and the internal meat tasted amazing. It came with a slice of lemon and some fresh veggies inside the tasty bread, which altogether made a really incredible sandwich. Cannot recommend this enough and will definitely come again!

October 22, 2024

I m sad that I am disappointed. Lobster roll was meh, it was bland. And the fries, seem to me they re-fried it. We have fries but it s cold now so let s fry it again to make it hot yea doesnt work that way. Fries was hard as if I was eating pretzel sticks lol. Sure, lobster roll was the star of the dish but I spent $25 for it. Roll was good though, it had cute grill marks. Maybe ill come back for fish but no chips

After browsing (a very busy Saturday) St Lawrence Market, we decided to get in the long Busters line. The ordering system is pretty efficient -- an employee takes your order while youre waiting in line, and you just have to show them a slip of paper to link yourself to the order. It still took a while to get our food (grilled octopus and grilled mahi mahi), perhaps because the grilled items are less commonly ordered. After reading some reviews, I decided to try the grilled octopus with salad. The salad was nothing special but the octopus was quite good -- there was a lot of it and it was very tender with good flavor. Its pricey, but I would get it again. Id be down to try more of their offerings if I ever return!

We came here after walking around the market. A huge line and very good looking food. We tried the lobster rolls, seafood orzo and swordfish with basmati rice. Lobster rolls: super nice, very light and fresh. Really liked the bread and the fries were amazing. Seafood orzo: it had shrimps, calamari, mussels and veggies. Really good, the amount was very big so we left satisfied. Swordfish with rice: the fish was very good, the rice was maybe a bit too plain. It s true that there s not plenty of space so you have to be lucky enough to find a sport. The service was incredibly quick and they got everything in the order perfectly right. The food is really good, the fish & chips are incredibly well made and the lobster sandwich is a real treat where you ONLY find lobster and not some kind of remoulade mixed with mayonnaise. Be careful, the prices are really those of restaurants in Toronto and not those of a market. Once thats said, its a good experience that can easily be completed by buying oysters from the stand right in front.

August 22, 2024

A expensive disappointment. This would be our third time visiting Busters at The St Lawrence Market, and sadly it just keeps getting worse and worse each time time we come to eat from here. We tried their Famous Lobster rolls the first time, and that was joyless, unseasoned, and mediocre. The second time, we brought out-of-town visitors and had the Famous Fish-and-Chips, and sadly, that too was joyless, bland and over-seasoned in the wrong areas, with the wrong seasonings.. forget the chips, as the oil was burnt and bitter, and the potatoes were overcooked, and yet soggy. So, today at around 1pm, after avoiding Busters for a while since our last visits, we thought, Why not give them another chance.. The lines looked promising, the food seemed good.. ?.. bad choice. We had the Coconut Shrimp, Haddock and Chips, Calamari, Onion Rings and Side Fries, and two waters. Total with 10% tip came out to $81. Yea. Ouch. The food? Haddock was dry and the batter was over-seasoned and salty, rendering my wife to PEEL the coating off the tiny pieces of fish, just so she can maybe get food in her. The Coconut Shrimp showed promise, but cooked in old burnt oil so thats all you can taste: Burnt, Old, oil, plus the overcooked coconut shrimps. The sauce was overly sweet, which maybe offset any burnt oil flavour. Even the lemon wedges were uninspired btw.. what maybe looked like used wedges, reformed to resemble new slices... gross.. You can imagine how the onion rings and fries were with that oil. Dont bother wasting your money, unfortunately. Busters needs to reassess and get their &(*0* together. What we saw today was gross and disappointing, and a shame, really. they have the clientele, the space, the foot-traffic.. and that overall fish and chip truck shop look that is nostalgic of visits to the sea, but boy do their foods, suck. Luckily, there are other food vendors nearby with better quality servings, at proper prices.

The sheer madness of trying to get food from this place on a Saturday afternoon at St. Lawrence Market is nuts. The line up was extremely long and after you paid you d wait patiently for your food. Behind the counter was sheer madness. The prep line was a sea of people sliding food back and forth until somehow, your order gets called. It s fast paced but still takes time to prep as they build it per order. I had read some mixed reviews about this place and definitely stayed away from the lobster roll as that doesn t seem to get much love. We had the fried halibut sandwich with an order of fries. Boy was it worth the wait. Supremely delicious with the crunchy outside bread and additionally crispy halibut exterior. The fish is flaky inside and bursting with flavour (I know, halibut doesn t usually have that much flavour). This must be the result of the fried crust. The sandwich has mayo and cucumbers and lettuce and tomato as well. The homemade fries were super crunchy. Need to ask for some tartar sauce. Makes my mouth water just thinking about this food. Based on the reviews I read, this place seems to be very inconsistent in delivery. It s direct hit or direct miss. Luckily mine was a direct hit.

First time trying Buster s Sea cove and it was delicious, a shrimp Po Boy with an awesome sauce on top, best taste for a seafood sandwich Fast-food kind of service eating in a less than desirable picnic style market table. So yes, there is no service. Let s just say you go for the food, that s it. Steep prices but good quality in return, would recommend. Today, we went to this place to eat, and I have to say it was a bad experience We were in line, and when a girl came to take our order, I asked her two very simple questions to make sure I was choosing the right product. Two questions, nothing complicated. Instead of answering with even a bit of attention, she gave me a random answer without even looking me in the face, clearly more concerned about the line than providing good service. The result? Our order was completely wrong. The sandwich was tasteless, just full of vinegar from the vegetables, and the fries were dry and old. Absolutely not recommended.

This destination was PERFECT!! Although the place was busy, it is for a very, VERY good reason - the tuna melt is to die for!!! Then the lobster roll if you re rich. The grilled calamari was SOOO good too, especially since it was prepared by the Hispanic boy on the grill; he was so nice and always smiling (very kind too). If I ever come back to Toronto, I would absolutely come back to this spot!! I asked them to cut my lobster roll in 4 pieces, and they didn t (the reason for 4 stars)

Not worth the price. I ordered the mussels, which I believe are listed as one of the top picks for their menu. The presentation of the mussels itself was pretty good, although the sauce it came with was watered down. I was shocked when I tasted the mussels, they tasted dirty and raw. Not even dirty as in fresh, but just straight up dirty. While I was waiting for my food I did see how they prepared it, and it is clear that do not spend enough time cooking things on their menu like the octopus and mussels. The lady cooking my mussels put them on a pan for about 10-15 seconds before putting it in the box to take away. It was so bad I couldn t eat it on the spot, so I saved them to properly cook at home, because of how raw the mussel was. If you re going to sell seafood, do it right.

I ordered an octopus po boy ahead on ritual and when I arrived to pick it up, they were unable to find my food. I waited for them to remake it before sitting down to find that the sandwich was drowning in sauce. The bread was completely soaked and soggy, and the sandwich fell apart as I tried to eat it. This was our very first adventure into St. Lawrence market And we had no idea where to eat. After passing endless eateries and aisles of fantastic foods, we came upon Busters sea cove in the corner. There appeared to be a lot of people at this eatery Compared to the other places, so we went for it. We ordered the halibut, fish-and-chips And the crab cakes. We did not have to wait very long for our food to arrive. There is city nearby and we had to share a table with somebody because it was too busy. One special note about the seating area is that it did not appear to be very clean. We really enjoyed the fish and chips. To me, they had a lot of batter on the fish. But the batter whats delicious. My friend thought that they had very little batter on the fish And she really enjoyed it too. The crab cakes were superb and the flavor was stupendous. We really enjoyed the spicy Mayo too. And we wanted more. But keep in mind, they charged an extra ninety nine cents four more spicy mayo. Make sure youre hungry for fries Because they give you a ton. So we were pleasantly surprised to have found this eatery. I would totally recommend that. You try it if you are ever in saint lawrence market in toronto. We left with happy tummies.

It is located within the St. Lawrence Market. They have specialties in seafood and its not bad at all. Of course, we ordered chicken finger and they were very very normal, bordering on bad (my mistake for ordering chicken in a place where almost everything is fish ). The price is a little high. If you can go outside to eat at the outdoor tables it is better than inside since there is much more noise and less rest.

A friend recommend Buster s for fish and chips. Having just come back from The UK I had kinda of a bias and high expectation. I went for lunch. St.Lawrence Market is busy during this time, do give yourself time to navigate the bodies. Busters is located at the back and there is pretty ample seamless seating for those looking to dig in right away. The price boards are pretty clear of what they offer. The layout is actually refreshing because you can see them pull the seafood from the cold table and get it ready. I ordered Halibut and chips. I was surprised the fish came in two pieces but they were pretty good sizes. For me, the fries were the best part. They were crispy, they were greasy, and there was a good portion. I did like the fish, but the batter wasn t what I was accustomed to. A little bit heavier. It s hard to explain it. It was crunchy but not super crunchy. Overall I d say a solid 8/10. Price wasn t bad considering it was halibut and the portions were considerable. Wheelchair accessibility: St. Lawrence has the ramps for wheelchair accessibility and there is ample seating outside.

People who are saying that Busters lobster roll is the best and delicious probably havent tried other lobster rolls. Quite the contrary, it was the worst lobster rolls Ive ever had. From the hard bun to the tasteless lobster, everything about this sandwich is so terrible. The lobster meat has a fishy odour so you already know its not fresh which is surprising since they have access to fresh seafood within the market. Its also doused with too much mayo that it overpowers the sweet delicate flavour of the lobster. Ordered their Haddock & Chips and its so greasy and oily. Order comes with a generous serving of shoestring fries which are mostly bland. The free side coleslaw is flavourless and best not to get. Overrated/overpriced/overhyped, Im not coming back nor recommending this place.

I remember watching YouTubers and they kept mentioning how great this place was. Did it live up to the hype? First of all, it s cash only. Second, I decided to get the snow crab roll. It only comes with fries or salad. I wished you could substitute them for soup. I ordered clam chowder soup. When I first ate it, it was 6 pm on a week night so there were tons of seating available. I ate downstairs. I m not a huge fan of the grilled bun, I would have liked it if it was soft and buttery. Seattle does it better. I do how fresh, plentiful, and flavorful it was. I ate it pretty fast. I did not care much for the fries since they were bland and dry. If they seasoned it, it would have been a different story. Clam chowder was good but there werent a lot of clams. I definitely had way more in Boston and the Southern States. Overall, it s about a 3 because I did like the snow crab. I didn t try the haddock and chips. Prices were reasonable.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and ordered the Haddock & Chips and Grilled Calamari. The order fill time was reasonable given the popularity of this joint. Staff service was also fairly fast and efficient. The haddock chips was about little over seventeen Canadian. It tasted amazing, however. Not too oily or salty, and fish was fresh, and the flavour were balanced. The chips were freshly fried and paired well with the fried haddock. 5/5. The grilled calamari was under seventeen Canadian, and a slight let down to my dismay. While the meal portion and the size of calamari itself was generous, it wasn t well marinated.
