ON VACATION SEPTEMBER 2-9! RE-OPEN SEPTEMBER 10TH AT NOON .Seafood restaurant and fishmonger. Delicately prepared food in a relaxed atmosphere. Carefully curated wine list. Lunch, dinner and brunch Saturday and Sunday.
Visited as a popular restaurant in the Junction (Dundas West) neighborhood, they are best known for their seafood dishes and seafood market within the restaurant. Essentially all of their items are seafood based and are sourced using the same seafood they also sell by their own market inside. Their seafood counter is one of the best chowders in the city as it contains a generous amount of seafood in a flavourful broth. Even as an appetizer L, the portion size of the chowder alone can be filling and can be requested for it to be in a shareable portion if looking to split it. One of their most popular items is the seafood okonomiyaki, which is a Japanese pancake that you wouldn’t normally see in this type of restaurant however the way they do it is with a generous amount of fresh seafood. They also offer daily specials such as a fried scallop sandwich. Service was excellent as they were attentive in checking in throughout the meal. Overall it’s a recommended place for seafood for either brunch or as dinner, and is also a convenient place to also buy fresh seafood given they also operate as a seafood market.
What a gem of a restaurant. I experienced a most delicious brunch with my friend today. It’s worth the price. I will definitely be coming again.
A Hidden Gem - Nestled in a charming neighborhood, this restaurant captivates with its beautiful decor, combining modern aesthetics with a cozy ambiance. The simple, one-page menu is refreshingly straightforward, featuring a selection of fresh fish options that highlight the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients. Finding the location is a breeze, making it an easy spot to visit for a casual dinner or a special occasion. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you leave satisfied without feeling overwhelmed. Each dish is presented on lovely plates that evoke a warm, homey feeling, enhancing the dining experience. The restaurant exudes an intimate vibe, perfect for a romantic evening or a quiet meal with friends. The quaint atmosphere, complemented by soft lighting and tasteful decor, creates a welcoming environment where you can truly unwind. Overall, this establishment is a delightful find, offering delicious food and a memorable dining experience.
Really good service and great seafood. Only complaints are that my salmon was very overcooked, on the dry side. The chowder was also very watery, but full of ingredients. I would 100% return and have other fish options. Really nice place, highly recommend.
A cozy seafood restaurant located in the Junction. I'd strongly recommend a reservation, especially if you are going with more than two people. The restaurant decor is a wonderful mix of modern restaurant with what you'd expect from a fish shop. The menu is split with a section of smaller plates and larger plates. Make sure you get the seafood chowder, it is exquisite. There are very few restaurants where I'd try something new when I go back and I am so confident that everything on the menu is going to be delicious. If you love seafood Honest Weight is a must go!
Blown away! My husband and I have always walked by but had no idea it was a restaurant as well. The ambience is perfect for date night and the food was incredible. From starters to dessert, everything was perfect. We had amazing service, sorry I didn't catch our servers name for a first shout out but all her recommendations were spot on. We're already planning our next visit! If you like fish/seafood, this is definitely a spot to check out.
Wow, truly incredible dishes being served at Honest Weight. Best fish I've had in a very long time. Unique and fresh fish and seafood options changed up regularly. Perfectly executed dishes, cooked to perfection. Cute quaint and cosey restaurant, with wonderful service. Thank you for a beautiful dinner this evening!! It's definitely my new favourite fish restaurant in Toronto. Cheers!
Amazing food! Everything is so fresh tasting, love the garnish selection they have for the oysters, my first time trying them with the Mignonette. I had the Tuna Tataki and it was delightful! I also had the Red Snapper Fish w/ Rapini & Mashed Potatoes, also Seared Scallops super delicious! It is a wonderful little restaurant and for sure will be back. The waitress was super nice, excellent service! If you’re a seafood lover definitely try this place!
Such good service, such good food!!
Legitimately my favourite restaurant in Toronto. Everything tastes exquisite, the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, and it has a really comfortable atmosphere. Fine dining flavours without any of the stuffiness. Amazing spot.
Food was delicious
The chowder was amazing, oysters were fresh. Update: the chowder is still some of the best in Toronto also GF Food : 5/5
Fresh, delicious, unpretentious food that all mixes and matches well together. Also one of the best cheesecakes in the city.
Delicious food. Small intimate seating.
The best sea food and fish restaurant I ever been in the world. And this cosy place even better then restaurants with Michelin stars. Oysters and rainbow trout fish was delicious Vegetarian options: The is always something you can get from the menu
The clam chowder is out of the world!
The chowder is really good!
Great local restaurant, very interesting menu and attentive service. Good date night.
Sea food heaven!
Highly recommend! My boyfriend and I made a pact that we only eat their mussels lol because after having theirs we could never go back. Service is always so sweet and friendly. Their soups I also love!
A beautiful neighborhood gem of a restaurant. Lovely interior design, comfortable, great food and service! Everything we ate was perfectly cooked and super flavorful. Nice wine choices. In this inflated environment the food and wine value were truly appreciated. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and service, and while somewhat pricey, very fair considering the quality. Highly recommend the oysters and albacore tuna tataki.
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! Best quality of food Amazing stuff Reasonable prices Very highly recommended
Its perfect!!!!
A hidden gem in the Junction. Not only was the dinner we had incredible, came back to actually buy fish at their counter. Everyone there is super helpful.
Delicious seafood. Really enjoyed it. Unique atmosphere and great service. Highly recommend
10/10. If you love seafood, youll love this place.
What a wonderful little restaurant,we never knew was there.Food was fantastic , service really good. They play great music too.My husband had black cod which was so tender and flaky. We will definitely be back!
One of the best seafood I had so far. Also a very good selection of wines. Food
This place is a seafood lovers dream. Our server was friendly and knowledgable and made great recommendations for the table. Loved the simplicity and freshness of the food. Great selection of oysters from east to west coast. The honest burger was truly the best fish burger Ive had.
I love living near Honest Weight! I ve dined in several times and come in regularly to buy from the fish counter. Their dishes are always fresh and delicious! The arctic char is a go to as are the oysters! Definitely one of my go to places for a quick bite or night out with friends.
Been coming here for a number of years to both dine in and take seafood home. Always been impressed by the quality and freshness of everything. Staff has always been extremely friendly and caring. The seafood eggburg is the stuff of legends.
Absolutely phenomenal experience. I had the okonomiyaki and the oysters and both were superb. While having the okonomiyaki, I might have travelled to another dimension it was so delicious. Great experience and will definitely be back to try other dishes.
The food is 10/10. Amazing. Put this on your go-to list or as your next day night. You won t be disappointed. Scallops are a must. Seating is limited & the tables are fairly close to one another.
We called to check if they have king crab legs as it s my favorite food and we were getting a little bday dinner for myself, which were sadly out of season, but they informed us they did have snow crab so we went anyway. Unfortunately it was a communication error and they were not on the menu. The waitress was incredibly nice and checked with the chef regarding communication error and not only did they make me a special order of crab legs despite them not being on the menu (they didn t even know it was my bday), but they were the best snow crab legs I ve ever had. The lemon butter served with them was amazing as well. We also got a fish sandwich, seared scallops, tuna tataki, chowder and their two desserts. Everything was great and our waitress was so kind and funny. Highly recommend.
Suggest coming in earlier in the day for a quieter atmosphere, very fresh seafood in house.
Really cozy place, with amazing fish (follow their recommendations, theyre delicious) and a lovely service. I fully recommend it
Thank you Katie, youre such a sweetheart. Thank you so much to you and your crew for all that you do. Made me look like a superstar on Mothers Day. Warren Food
Wow what a brunch!!!!!
Honest Weight restaurant is a charming gem nestled in the heart of the Junction. If youre a fan of sustainable, mouthwatering seafood prepared with care, this is the place to be. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is consistently delightful and fresh.
Nice and fresh seafood. Great cooking techniques and nice services! (Ps. Thanks for reminding me that I forgot my packed-up food!) The seafood restaurant you must try in Toronto.
Best seafood restaurant in Toronto
Great oysters and brunch in a small cozy atmosphere.
When you need great fish this is one of my favourites. Always friendly, this small restaurant/fish counter is great for a date, or a small group of friends, or to just buy fresh fish to bring home.
Still five star many years later. Honest Weight is a fantastic seafood spot. Very cozy and superb service.
Honest Weight is a small restaurant that packs a big punch. We ordered 3 mains and 2 appetizers and everything was delicious! Highly recommend the fish sandwich!
An institution! Great food. Great service. Informal. Fun. I love it!
Seriously delicious, authentic food. I d travel from the other end of Toronto to eat here. Great playlist and great service. What a gem!
Great, independent place. We had the fish, mussels and a glass of Albarino white wine to go with it. All very nicely done. Its a small restaurant. Food : 5/5
This place is a Toronto gem! We have been countless times, and we have never been disappointed. Highly recommend!
A real lunch treat- every bite had beautiful flavour combos. On weekends I love the buttermilk biscuit eggs Benny!
Love the vibe and the food. Recommend their oysters, soup and fish burger, taste amazing
One of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. Amazing food, great service, good prices, and great vibes.
A bit on the pricey side but far and away the best seafood you could get in the city
We really enjoyed our experience here, quality food. Food was fresh and the taste was nice and light. Amazing service as well. We will definitely be back.
Just came accidently as we need some art supply nearby. We are lucky as this place is normally fully booked. Small restaurant, friendly waitress and nice Jazz music. - Chowder is a bit dilluted style but super rich of flavors and has lots of seafood. Their sour-dough is amazing. We ordered 1 more because it is so good. - Fish burger is a must-try, best of the kind. Very balanced and fresh. - The salmon belly came as out of menu dish and it is stunning with delicate flavor Next time we should plan better so that I can pair white wine with the food here, theyre all yummy.
Just wow on the food. Try the oysters and fish plate
I thought the seafood quality was average. The food tasted a bit too salty and buttery without being flavorful. The waitress was really nice but the food took too long to come out. Overall, not coming back as its not worth the price even though it had a nice atmosphere.
Best fish in Toronto
Amazing place to eat great fresh seafood, the service is outstanding, very efficient, very professional, very fast, atmosphere is very quiet place and it was cold inside, which I didnt like and I had to wear my jacket, it is not cheap but neither expensive,
Small menu and its not quick service but overall enjoyed the meal and the servers were friendly. The oysters were fresh and the mussels and tuna tataki were delicious. The drink menu does not have any cocktails/liquor and pop, only a limited selection of red wine, white wine and beer.
Great seafood restaurant, everything is fresh , full of flavours, and cooked to perfection. My favourites were the soups. The service was the best.
Delicious food and cost atmosphere. Service was amazing.
Our favorite seafood restaurant! Best chowder, best smear and all things amazing when it comes to fish. Their raw counter has amazing stuff.
We had a wonderful seafood platter for Christmas Eve Dinner.
I went here for brunch and absolutely loved the food, vibes and service. The loaded Latke was a huge highlight. Cant wait to come back for oysters!
While looking for a seafood restaurant for a dinner in Toronto, I came across several recommendations mentioning Honest Weight. Upon learning of the restaurants wholesale fish market I was convinced, and made a booking for a Sunday evening. Upon arrival, the space felt comforting and inviting, with a small seating area and a singular fridge showcasing the days seafood options. The menu is small but with a tantalizing selection and my girlfriend and I selected PEI oysters, seared scallops, a clam chowder and cod cooked with seasonal vegetables and smashed potatoes. The service was very in line with the restaurants vibe, and we were offered a small sample of three different white wines to aid us in our choice. First to arrive was a tray of shucked oysters with a house mignonette and hot sauce. I found both varieties of oysters delicious, meaty but not overly fishy (in line with my personal tastes), and both house sauces were good. I enjoyed the succession of dishes and we were then presented with a beautiful dish of seared scallops and a clam chowder. A parsnip puree was the perfect accompaniment to the scallops, very well seared yet the perfect texture in the middle. A pop of sweetness from the pomegranates was well thought out, and on a subsequent visit, I would consider the dish a must order. The clam chowder was also great, with a slight sweetness from the clams and delicate, well balanced flavours throughout. Despite being cream based, the chowder felt surprisingly light but still warming. Given the quality of Honest Weights seafood, its hard to believe how far away the restaurant is from the sea. I enjoyed the subsequent cod dish, but not to the same degree as the first three plates we sampled. The fish was well cooked, and once again the quality was apparent, and smashed potatoes were delightful in their texture, fluffiness and accentuated by a hint of whole grain mustard. Overall, I would struggle to suggest any better seafood restaurants Ive had the opportunity of trying in Toronto. The quality of the seafood is apparent, and the cooking style is masterful in its celebration of the ingredients. The food, coupled with the restaurants intimate, neighborhood atmosphere have converted me into an ardent and vocal fan of Honest Weight.
Such a nice experience!!!! We will sure be back very soon since we want to try all the other dishes in the menu! Absolutely amazing. Fresh, tasty, friendly!
5!!! The best fish and seafood restaraunt in the city. Small but mighty, this place is a gem. There are very few tables so booking in advance is helpful. The menu is simple and each dish really highlights the ingredients (namely the fish). The oysters are delicious and come with mignonette, lemon, and shave horse radish. I always get the pick yer fish and have never been disappointed. The seasonal specials are amazing and I highly recommend the scallops. Don t sleep on the tuna appetizer or the okonomiyaki. They have a wine menu but not really many (if any) cocktails. Music is great, service is attentive, and food is fantastic. Bathroom is down a set of stairs, and there is typically parking out front.
Second time going to this restaurant and loved it both times. If you like seafood and fish, it s a great place to try! Their bouillabaisse is surprizingly good (I mean, since it s not in Marseille), and their white chocolate cheesecake is to die for
The place is very cute. The service was attentive and very kind. And the there was a variety of selections. We had the gravlax, artic char and the fish and chips. All plates were super fresh and cooked perfectly.
This is the spot if you appreciate fresh, delicious seafood. Honestly, I havent had a better chowder, and the oysters were the perfect start with their briney goodness. For a pre-Valentines dinner, my partner and I were perfectly romanced by the flavours of everything we ate. Make a reservation because the cozy, warm atmosphere is clearly in demand, and thats no surprise after our visit. 10/10
Grabbed some fresh seafood to make a Sunday feast and it made all the difference. The Icelandic cod was super fresh and sliced thick. The prawns were deveined but shells on which is handy for making a great broth. Service was friendly and fast. We hope to come back for the restaurant!
Nice Clam Chowder and atmosphere is also nice..Nice waitress also...
Service was superb. The oysters were so fresh and delicious. The waitresses were super friendly. A+++
Sat on the street patio and enjoyed a seafood extravaganza! Oysters, Argentinian seafood empanadas, aged bass ceviche!!! Go with time, hunger and great company - this is a seafood tapas heaven.
Fresh seafood and cozy restaurant. We ordered oyster and tuna as appetizer. Both were great. Then we had the honest burger and the bouillabaisse. The soup had fish, mussel, clams and tasted perfect. The burger was served with salad. Fries would have been better! The white wine recommended by the server was light and citrusy, exactly what I wanted that night. I would say the portion size of all the dishes were quite small so you probably have to order more if you are really hungry. Also, we got the window seat and at one point there was a man standing right outside the window staring at us eating for a few minutes. I would prefer to get a seat closer to the bar next time.
Loved all the dishes we ordered, which was pretty much all the appetizers. The spicy shrimp were excellent, the tables favourite. and the chowder is gluten free!! Its a small space, make a reservation. Vegetarian options: Its a small seafood place. No vegetarian options.
Excellent , very fresh !!
Amazing food, with amazing friendly service. Highly recommended and cant wait to go back !
Delicious!
What a great little seafood restaurant! Not a huge menu, but what they offer is amazing. I strongly recommend making a reservation as the place can only sit approximately 15-20 people. They have bar seating (2-3 ppl) and counter seating (2 ppl) at the back with one small table seating 4 ppl. The rest of the seating is at the front with a regular table height and chair setup. I will say that the shrimp is done right. Perfect seasoned and cooked just right.
Excellent neighborhood seafood place. Worth the drive if you are not local. Small rest in though so reservations recommended.
Great tuna tataki and mussels. The oysters were unbelievably fresh and tasty.
This was our first visit and we absolutely loved everything we had! The Honest burger was perfection and I m dreaming heading back now for an encore. The king crab legs were sweet, tender, plumb morsels of heaven. We ll definitely be heading back!
Fantastic fresh seafood meal
Amazing food and pleasant atmosphere. We had the Loaded Latke and Other Scrambled Eggs.
This place is great! Food was simple and true to its roots but absolutely amazing! Had the fish sandwich, oysters, and wine and had no complaints. Would recommend this little gem to anyone! Everything was so fresh and flavourful! Service was great! Everyone needs to check this place out!
Perfect, simply delicious
Fresh oysters were delicious, and the brunch was the right kind of fishy. We enjoyed the fish cake Benedict and the breakfast fish burger eggs were perfectly cooked. Lovely wine list, with some unique whites. Recommend for anyone looking for a tasty and relaxing lunch.
The fish sandwich is crazy good!
Lovely neighbourhood restaurant with great food and featuring fresh seafood.
Food is always amazing in a cool intimate space. I love this place.
So good.. good food good service good place
Cant wait to go back. Had fresh shucked oysters which were delicious. The employees at the front were very kind especially the gentleman shucking the oysters. Love the decor very clean. Will definitely be back. Food
Is a cosy little gem hidden in GTA area, food are great, chill atmosphere. I prefer going to this type of restaurant, than over priced franchise chains.
Calling all seafood lovers! Had a delicious meal here. The service was great and the food was amazing. Will definitely be coming back!
While vacationing in Toronto, we came in without reservations not realizing what a small place this was. The hostess/server that greeted us was so kind and informed us she thought a dining party was about to leave and it should only be a few minutes, if we wanted to wait. We gladly hung out for about 10 minutes and was seated. We are a family of 3, with a 5 year old. My husband ordered a pick yer fish entree and myself and my son shared an order of the calamari special and the mussels. All our food was delicious but the main reason for my review is for what the assumed owner did. As we were finishing our dinner a woman we hadnt seen up to that point came into the dining room asking the tables how their food was. After speaking with us and my son, she offered my son another small bowl of mussels, of which he happily accepted. Soon enough, out came a fresh delicious bowl of mussels for my 5 year old! I cant tell you how nice that was and so unexpected. She said she loves when kids love seafood and it was on thr house. One of the best experiences we have had in a while at a restaurant. Good food and amazing service! Kid-friendliness: While I wouldnt describe it as a kid friendly place, we brought our 5 year old and he loved the food and was accomadated wonderfully.
Great small seafood restaurant in the Junction neighborhood. Grilled fish meals are great flavored and in large amounts compared to downtown Toronto restaurants. Oyster is fresh but little pricy .
Seafood lovers paradise, fresh and Yammy, definitely a Five Stars!!!
Excellent food and service. Cant wait to go back.
The place is nice and cozy, the service was friendly and the food taste great it had a great balance of flavors. The only but is that I would have loved more options but that is also part of the charm.
Why wouldn t you !!! Went there tonight for a dinner for 2. A couple of shared apps and 2 mains. Ambiance was perfect. Service was amazing and the food was delicious. And the prices .. perfect. I d highly recommend for a romantic dinner or just a dinner out.
I must say this is a hidden gem. If its not your hidden gem its definitely mine. The place was amazing the server today was the best Ive had in a while!! I wish I got her name but she deserves a raise thats forsure. I have no words to explain how good the food was. It was way to good I was speechless the whole time eating the food a nice glass of wine
I bought tuna steaks from these folks many years ago, but I am no longer comfortable with supporting them based on their recent conduct. This establishment needs to fire their social media person for continuously deleting comments they dont agree with. If theyre doing this kind of stuff on social media, one can only imagine what may be going on internally. Does not seem like a welcoming place anymore, and this constant deletion of content is not a good look.
I went here recently with a friend. She really enjoyed her scallops and chowder. Out of curiosity, I had the okonomiyaki; wasnt impressed. There was very little fish in it, but plenty of bonito flakes covering a massive amount of cabbage and kewpie mayo. The seating area is tiny and if you come early for your reservation (which we did), theres nowhere to wait - except outside in front of the restaurant or in the narrow entryway. The one thing that was really off-putting was the location of the washrooms. My friend came with a walker (which I mentioned when making the reservation)and when she needed to use the bathroom it was a difficult and painful process for her to go down and then up the stairs. Im not sure if its possible for this place to have an accessible washroom on the main floor, but as it is now, its clearly designed for the able bodied only.
The food is so fresh you can basically feel like your swimming in the ocean! Truly a beautiful atmosphere with amazing food, we had went on a Sunday brunch and it was quiet so if you re looking for a more intimate experience that s a good time to go! Our server was gracious and the cook was accommodating when we asked to remove any alcohol from cooking (personal preference). Highly recommend!
Worth every cent. The chowder is top shelf with a refined seafood flavour and not just heavy cream. A gem in the Junction. Fish is as fresh as it gets. Do not miss out!
Absolutely fantastic seafood! Cant weight for the next visit. Highest recommendation.
Great fresh seafood with a creative twist. The Honest Burger was great. The tuna tataki, scallops, and shrimp was good as well.
So enjoyed our evening last night. Three couples catching up enjoying delicious food and a small restaurant where we could hear what we were saying. Service matched only by the tasty food. Highly recommend a visit.
Not as good as I remembered it pre COVID
Wow! Delicious! Nothing fussy, just really great ingredients prepared well. We had oysters and the cold fish plate and then we both had Pick Yer Fish. I had salmon and my partner had cod. Everything was first rate.
First time here, what a lovely experience, everything was absolutely delightful. Warm attentive service, fantastic wine list, so many options by the glass. I cant wait to go back, highly recommend having both desserts!!!
Fantastic seafood restaurant. The sharing plate is perfect for 3 or 4 as an appetizer. Do take a bit of time to look at the stores selections. They have some interesting canned seafood like cockles and tuna collars.
This place apparently was more of a fish market than a rat but now the opposite is true. Located in the Annex, I believe, both the area and Honest Weight are really nice contribution to the scene in Toronto. Prices are still okay hopefully they dont get into the high price eating frenzy of Toronto and can remain a local eatery satisfying locals and bringing in a few curios. I would go back.
had the sunday brunch last week, split the fish sandwich, had the chowder soup, and 2 oysters. everything was amazing! i was happy the server recommended to split the sandwich since i also wanted to try the soup becuz the sandy was on the larger size. it also came with a pretty filling and tasty potatoe salad. its an extremely small place so u prolly want rezos becuz there were maybe only 4 tables? a real gem of a find. its not like the name says it all and the outside does not look like an in dining sort of place...
The pick yer fish dish overall taste was disappointing for me, but the fish was really fresh. The oysters were fresh and good.
Excellent food, oysters were so fresh. Great environment and staff are super friendly.
Delicious seafood. The oysters were great and the fish sandwich was excellent. They were out of mussels when I went which I was hoping to try but the alternative choices were tasty.
Small niche fish restaurant. The service wasnt lighting quick but definitely not terrible. They were sweet and polite, ready to offer a helping hand with the menu. The food on the other hand was absolutely fantastic. Obviously youll need to have a taste for the sea and if you do youll be rewarded.
Great food, nice staff and good atmosphere! We will be back :)
Delicious brunch. Loved the Turkish eggs - just wanted more bread to soak it up!
I went to this little shop yesterday and I had a stellar experience. I tried oysters for the first time there and they were superb. The rest of their menu is excellent and you can literally taste the freshness of their food. Highly recommend it if you are in the area... Or heck, come from across town for this.
*Takeout* Tuna tataki - Love the sauce. A slight nice chewiness to the fish. 5/5. Rillette and sourdough - perfect seasoning; lovely bread from Forno Cultura. 4/5. Oysters - Fresh and refreshing! Nice sour garlic mix condiment and hot sauce. 5/5. Tuna empanada - Decent, though not a standout. 3/5. Service - 5/5. Thank you for giving us ice for the oysters and the tuna tataki to keep cold on our commute. Really appreciate the thoughtfulness!
Just miss John Bil
The fish that we ordered, Arctic Char and Rainbow Trout, were perfectly prepared. Unfortunately, everything else fell flat. Ill keep it short: as overpriced as everything was over salted. Its been awhile since Ive left a restaurant with a sore throat and a numbed tongue.
Fresh!
Great sea food!! The shrimp roll
Phenomenal food and great service
Good food but very slow
The calamari and the okonomiyaki (seafood Japanese pancake) are delicious and filling for two. Good service. Quiet and serene atmosphere made for a delightful and calm dinning experience. If wanting good food, a nice selection of dry wines and beer, and the ability to easily converse with your dining partner, this is the place to go!
Super cozy restaurant and delicious food. Service is great and prices very good
Ive been here twice and been very satisfied both times. Subtle friendly service, menu of just a few items but absolutely delicious. I will absolutely be going back again.
Cozy seafood restaurant in the Junction. Delicious seafood. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We were well taken care of. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here.
We came for brunch for a special that they had been advertising, only to find it was sold out. Disappointing, but it happens. We ordered something else instead, then it took about an hour before our food actually arrived. Tasted good, but an hour wait is very unacceptable.
Try the oysters
Fish Sandwich is very delicious, the sauce and fish go well together.
I have searched Toronto and the GTA, end-to-end. Honest Weight has the best okonomiyaki in Toronto and quite possibly, outside of Japan.
Great fresh fish and scallops cooked to perfection and delicious sauces and spices yum
Charming little place. Our server was lovely and attentive. As for the food, it is delicious. The scallops melt in your mouth, mussels are flavourful and the cod and cod/shrimp burger were both great!
The food, ambience and service is the best in the neighborhood.
Wonderful! Fresh tasty seafood prepared amazingly well, small but diverse menu and great service. Couldnt ask for more in a neighbourhood gem.
Really good food with great service! What else can you ask for. :) Totally recommend this place.
Worth every penny! The food is delicious. Totally check them out.
We randomly found this restaurant and it was one of the most amazing dining experiences. Kaitlyn our server was helpful and fantastic, we will definitely be going back when we are in Toronto!!
Amazing dinner experience and the dishes were cooked to perfection. This is my second time visiting and I continue to be blown away. Had the tuna tartare, the chowder, the scallops and the pick your fish option with the cod and all the dishes exceeded my expectations! Will definitely be back.
Just wonderful! It was such an unexpected gem. My friend and I totally loved it!!
Tasty and fresh fish. Tiny seating area.
Delicious fresh food served in a charming room! Helpful, friendly staff. Best place to either eat in or take out fish and seafood in the city
Food and service was outstanding. The mussels with spicy curry sauce were tremendous and the crispy Chilli prawns to start.... so good! What a gem to have in the neighbourhood
Great fish, reasonably priced!
It is a super cozy restaurant, they make you feel at home, the service is magnificent and the food is delicious. Super recommended.
Cozy place. Delicious food. Very innovative cooking technique. But need to change the menu at least quarterly. Otherwise I have to order the same food every time. Also get more choices on wine menu.
Had a great dinner here, everything was perfect and so fresh. Very relaxed vibe with 70s and 80s oldies playing, only a handful of tables and cute dishes. Oysters and crispy chili garlic shrimp were terrific but really everything was good. Hope to come back soon!
Amazing oysters. The fish was heavenly! Great service!
The best oysters in the city, hands down. Everything here is great, so lucky to have it in my neighbourhood.
Great restaurant! Been here a few times and the food is fantastic, oysters are amazing and service is excellent. Our waitress, Caitlin was very helpful and gave great recommendations.
