Delicious, open very late! Traveling from Montreal and was hungry super late.

Great place to have a sharable meal with a group of people. We ordered the pepper with pork tripe chicken hot pot. It was great! The chicken is very tender and you can order side dishes to add into the hotpot. I also recommend the king mushroom with Japanese beancure in hotpot (I dont think the English name is accurate).

It has the oily fragrance and comforting, soft texture of instant noodles but is better, combined with mushrooms and bell peppers for a aromatic bite. My go-to order at Cantonese restaurants is their beef tenderloin, the first time I tried it I was immediately hooked on the tender texture, beefy aromas and savory black pepper sauce. The onions inside also provide a refreshing crisp, being cooked just right. With seafood in its name, I couldnt leave without trying some seafood. Batter and deep fried for a juicy yet fragrant bite, that soaks up the addictingly sweet and savory honey sauce. Served on a bed of broccoli, it makes me feel healthier and provides lots of surface area to clean up the honey. Used to be a malay restaurant.

If you order rice in hot pot, youll end up with dark and bitter rice. The first time I didnt get any explanation. Instead, a different person came over and handed me a bill. The waiter also didn t ask if we wanted to split the bill.

The taste is very good. I am already a regular customer, but the service is really bad. Last time, the waiter named Annie took the bowl of my plate to hold the oil and took it away without asking. She didnt give it to me until I asked. Taking it back really affects the experience

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was excessively salty to the point of being inedible. Every dish tasted the same, drowned in salt, with no real flavor or freshness. On top of that, the service was abysmal. I was the one decided to give my family a treat. But staff only talks to my mother-in-law s boyfriend, who is Caucasian, making us feel unwelcome and disrespected. When my son was a bit cranky because of the slow servings, one of the staff came and touched my son s face without none of our consent. And they only accept cash and debit! If they marked that unreasonable request on the front door, I would never go in there! Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and find a restaurant that values both good food and good service.

Long wait

This restaurant arbitary charge! Be sure to check your bill details after eating a meal. I ate a bowl of rice for $25! The service attitude is bad, we seven people and we chose a bowl of rice (big), the boss explained that the rice is according to the number of people, 3 dollars a bowl, but we only seven people, should be charged 21 Canadian dollars! Why is 25$?

April 2024 Update: I tried their chicken and pork belly hotpot this time and it is really good and fulfilling, tastes healthy. This would be the staple dish makes me want to revisit with friends. Fried noodles are ordinary though. Nov 2023 The complementary soups are very nice and refreshing. I especially liked the bone soup because it is not like those noodle soups full of MSG in other restaurants. The service is very nice and in fact it is so nice that I think a significant part of the menu prices is attributed to services. However, the food we ordered is quite mediocre and some is even disappointing : the house special fry contains over-fried tofu and very little seafood which is also over-fried; the claypot rice does not have much flavor other than soy sauce and at the bottom instead of crispy rice we got uncooked rice; the chicken is ok but nothing memorable.

Ever since sometime in late 2023, I began going to this gem of a restaurant somewhat frequently whenever Im in downtown Toronto. I must say that theyre one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area as the quality of their food is comparable to those in Markham and Scarborough in regards to the taste and presentation. The restaurant is usually packed on the weekends and you can usually expect a wait time of anywhere between 10 to 30 min. This is why I personally prefer to come here on the weekdays when they are busy but not to the point of bursting at the seams so to speak lol (but of course, if more people start heeding this advice and altering their behaviour, then soon there wont be any advantage to coming here on the weekdays instead lol XD). The space inside the restaurant is pretty tight I would say since all the tables are placed very close to each other with not much room to move around or to go in and out of your table if you wish to use the restroom. You can easily accidentally swipe the neighbouring table or your own when youre going in and out (especially when youre sitting in the booth) so just be mindful of that if you dont want to turn your sweater, t-shirt, jacket, etc into a kitchen towel lol XD! The 2 person table is also pretty small when youre ordering stuff like the hotpot plus some other dishes lol. However, this is the price you have to pay in order to enjoy their delicious food lol XD and I would say that overall, its worth it lol... Just be extra careful =D. Anyway, they offer 3 hotpots there, namely the one with the whole chicken, the one with a whole tilapia, and the one with chicken and pork tripe. All 3 of them have a different soup base and I personally think the one with the whole chicken has a very delicious soup as it has ginseng, red dates, etc in it. However, the tilapia one has the soup with the most pure flavour so its also delicious in its own way in my opinion. The one with the chicken and tripe has a really strong tripe and white pepper flavour so while its not bad, its not my favourite lol. I usually come here with my partner in crime XD so I would say that for 2 people, one of these hotpots plus maybe one other dish is already sufficient, especially if you plan to drink some of the soup too (I see a lot of people piling up their tables with the hotpot plus several other dishes and being unable to finish their food in the end lol). Even if you dont intentionally drink the soup, youre bound to drink some of it as the chicken, tilapia, or tripe are bound to absorb some of the soup so try not to make the mistake of underestimating how full you can get from it lol XD. The whole chicken and the tilipia ones come with napa cabbage but you can always order more vegetables (such as watercress, more napa, etc) to put into the hotpot if youre into eating healthy ;) Other than their signature hotpots, they also serve claypot rice, stir fried dishes, fried noodles/rice, etc. Their claypot rice is tasty though they dont offer as much variety as some of the claypot rice places in Markham and Scarborough. They also serve dessert ( ), such as the red bean dessert ( ) and the mung bean dessert ( ) while some of the other Chinese restaurants in Chinatown dont offer any dessert. Lastly, they open till very late (2 AM from Sunday to Thursday and 4 AM on Fridays and Saturdays), so you know you can rely on them to be there for you when most of the other places are closed for the day. TL;DR - I recommend this gem of a restaurant as they are one of the better Chinese restaurants in Chinatown, with food comparable to those at the Markham/Scarborough Chinese restaurants.

Service was amazing, all the staff here were quick to their feet and very attentive. They even packed our leftovers for us. Usually, at Chinese restaurants, we have to do it ourselves. We had the clay pot rice, hot and sour soup, crab and fish maw soup, jellyfish cold dish and ordered a soya milk. Everything tasted great except for the hot and sour soup. It didn t taste like the traditional hot and sour soup we have at other restaurants, it tasted way too sweet. Will be back for their famous hot pot dishes! Con: this restaurant takes cash or debit only.

We got very good service from one of the servers but got rushed by most other servers. What I meaned rushed was that some servers were determined to help turn the table around by prematurely helping us to take the food from the plates. That took away some enjoyment of the food. The restaurant is a grease spoon type restaurant and was very busy and crowded when we were there. It is a bit too noisy to enjoy company. If you want to have a quite bit for a reasonable price, it is not a bad place to go.

This best restaurant in China town

We got their sizzling beef, green beans , lobster (ginger and green onions) and the lobster paste fried rice. Overall the food is in large portions , so we had a lot of leftovers for two people. Minus the lobster, everything was good in value. They also give complementary desserts. I would recommend this place, maybe try their hotpot since I see every table ordering a pot.

I enjoyed my experience. I got the mackerel and the kimchi pancake, everything was good but the pancake had a little too much batter for me. I asked if I could swap the pancake out for rice and gave me a sampler tray instead (just want I originally wanted) 10/10 I had a good time.

Its a good store, the taste is more suitable for popular tastes, and the price is affordable. The ingredients are fresh, such as shrimp, squid, beef and pork, etc. are relatively fresh, and the processing is relatively good, without any fishy smell. The taste is just right, not salty nor bland, suitable for everyones taste, and relatively durable. The dishes that need to be fried are well cooked, re-fried, very crispy, and not greasy. The attitude of the waiter was very good. The pineapple sweet and sour pork I ordered today was broken. After telling the waiter, the manager dealt with it quickly. He came over after a while and said it was indeed broken. He apologized and brought a new plate. , and also bought us drinks for free, which was pretty good. This place I went w my friends from US and we were very satisfied w the chicken pork stomach hot pot. My go to restaurant for some authentic Chinese food. The service is always perfect and very thoughtful. It s a great place if you want to have some good food with friends. My favorite dishes are: chicken hot pot, pork taro rice and tofu vegetables. It comes with portions it would be nice if you enjoy with some companies.

I went to eat three times and the food was delicious. The first time I did not add a tip and I checked out normally. The second time I added a tip and did not mention it. Many of us gave a double tip. The third time I gave the bill and I did not add a tip when I brought it over the first time. Then we After the order was divided, the tip was automatically added without telling us. Two of the four of us paid a double tip without knowing it. This looks so ugly.

This restaurant is well known and has been around for years, the name has changed over said years, but the food is equally tasty, well made and good sized portions. Lots on the menu, served by folks who care. Ive always had good eats here. You wont be disappointed. Parking: Well, its smack between Kensington and Chinatown. Street parking is tough, but lots of paid parking across the street and a couple of short blocks away. Kid-friendliness: Staff accommodates. Menu selections may be substituted for more plain variations that kids like.

Truly AWFUL experience in here! Service was abysmal from start to finish. Throughout the entire meal, we were IGNORED and had to repeatedly call for attention to place our orders and get water refills. The staff seemed aloof and uninterested in serving customers. The worst part was when we went to pay. The server arrogantly chose the tip option on the card machine WITHOUT OUR CONSENT, making it feel like a forced and inappropriate move. This attitude was simply UNACCEPTABLE. I am appalled by the lack of respect and professionalism displayed by the restaurants staff. Won t come ever again. There are many other great dining options in Toronto that value their customers and treat them with dignity.

The service was extremely disappointing. The individual managing the reservations was rude and lacked patience. Despite numerous empty tables, we were asked to wait for 30 minutes because he claimed a reservation was pending, even though it was already 6:45 pm (6:30pm reservation). He refused for further negotiations and behaved quite rude. It was a frustrating experience.

Malaysian Style Curry with Roti is delicious! - Roti is crispy, flaky - Curry has lots of flavour, lots of meat 9/10 Pad Thai, Pad Sew and Iced Coffee was not good. - Bland, no flavour 2/10

The Curry Laksa (-5/5) was a complete atrocity and brings shame to this dish. The broth was basically yellow soup with loads of msg. Upon taking the first sip, we had to fix this broth by adding more herbs and ingredients to even make it palatable. Thank goodness the noodles (mihun + mee) are nice. The Nasi Lemak (2/5) was essentially 3/4 rice and 1/4 everything else. Onion sambal had a good sweet/spicy balance but the curry chicken was sweeter than it should be. Fried peanuts and ikan bilis (fried anchovies) were thrown in like they were gold, most likely the chef counted each anchovy. The price on is also higher than other restaurants that actually serve significantly better Malaysian food. Not sure what other reviewers regard as authentic Malaysian food as these 2 dishes are definitely a blasphemy to Malaysian Cuisine.

I was craving Malaysian and this spot came up. We had the Laksa and Curry chicken and they were both amazing! The roti was warm and crispy. Also the server was very helpful and gave great suggestions. He even told us when we over ordered so we reduced our number of dishes. And he was right! We will definitely be back.

decent malaysian food with fair price

YUM! This is a nice quiet place to get some beautiful food in big portions. Everything was made with care at a great price point. They even have some fun packaged snacks from Malaysia if you want to take something home. I walked away full and happy!

Was thinking about trying Malaysian, this was the closest location to us, but boy they didnt disappoint. I tried their Malaysian Chicken Curry with Roti and my partner had Laksa. It was so close to the real deal. Absolutely the best place to be, especially if youre around Downtown Toronto.

I don t know how it tastes. The service is very, very poor and the management is chaotic. I called to ask if we could take a reservation. The waitress on the phone said we didnt need to come directly and didnt take our phone number. After we arrived, a man arranged seats. He heard that we left without leaving our phone numbers. First, he didn t give any explanation, and second, he didn t tell us what to do next (the tables in front of us, can we arrange seats now? If so, leave our phone numbers, etc.). It s hard to say anything to this man, even if the customers are not gods or licking dogs, haha, maybe the business of the new store is really too good, it takes itself too seriously, but the reviews are not as good as the food, it s a big holiday If you are exhausted by this, dont come, you will become sad.

Great Chinese dishes

had a great late night dinner here tonight. The brisket noodle soup was flavourful, generous and spot on. The hot pot rice dishes were fantastic. Price is also on point as well as quality.

The food is good, the service is friendly, and the boss will come out to chat with you. But the best thing about it is that its open until two in the morning. Its basically the only Cantonese food you can find in the city center and you can still eat it after 10 oclock. So it is definitely worth adding full points. The price is very affordable. A herbal chicken pot costs $39, and all the ingredients are gone for $20. Adding tank gas and lamp oil and fire wax are actually not very profitable. Keep up the good work, boss. repeat customer

Awesome service. Food was great also. Had the lobster, pork ribs, hot pot. Would come back! Parking: Street paid parking $3-4/hour

First time here, and service was the best I ve ever had! Even some high end restaurants did not top this. With that said, the food was amazing i ve never had lobster where i the shell was so crispy i could even eat it. Definitely would recommend this place, more value than what you pay for

Our first time visiting this restaurant and we are so happy with the food quality and service provided. The lobster is amazing! We also ordered pork ribs, sizzling blackpepper beef, and the hotpot. Would love to visit again.
