Great place for seafood sandwiches. I tried most of their menu, and it never disappoints. The service is excellent and quick. You can also have a salad for an additional fee of $5, and it's worth it
Location has a great pleasant vibe, welcoming, in doors is a bit gloomy with minimal lighting. The steel panel wall (container like) needs cleaning, so much dust bunnies and grime, you will see it sitting at table against this wall. Not sanitary, I am not sure why management has neglected these no touch surfaces. Servers are friendly and prompt. I ordered the lobster roll, lobster meats is minced, not chunks, kind of disappointing, taste is good, bun is toasted. It comes with a dry salad and coleslaw. Strange that salad was not dressed. I asked for dressing, there is only one choice. However there are many options on the menu, I would come back and try. Average check per person is approximately $27. Parking on street on Church metered, or multi storey Green P near by. Side walk seating is fantastic in this location.
I’ve tried their shrimp and chicken gumbo, but there was no shrimp or chicken in the soup. I would not go back for their soup. But their fish and chips looked good and you get what is stated in the name: fish & chips
This restaurant is in a beautiful location and attracts many tourists. Among SO many options in the Saint Lawrence area, this one stands out! They offer healthy, fresh, and tasty food. The fried fish basket was amazing. Try sitting in the patio. Highly recommended!
I've been looking at this restaurant for months, and I always thought it was expensive, (without actually looking at the prices) just by location. But, never judge a restaurant by its outside! Such a hidden gem, the food is delicious, staff super friendly and overall a really nice spot. Yes I will be back!
Had lunch here while visiting the amazing St. Lawrence Market, which is right across the street. It was our first time eating here and I was so impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the variety of menu items and the quality of the food. I had the delicious grilled salmon and fries. Very generous portion, perfectly cooked, and fries were great. Husband ordered halibut and chips. Two pieces of fish, which was almost all fish (see pic), in light, crisp batter. Great lunch!
The seafood joint at the St Lawrence Market was packed on weekends as usual so our group of four decided to come here for lunch instead where there's comfortable seating. First time here and I did enjoy the food. The seafood platter for one was a pretty good deal with salad, grilled calamari, swordfish and grilled octopus. I particularly like the calamari. The fried halibut and chips was also pretty decent. We also ordered the grilled octopus and lobster roll to share. Good portions and value for money. Would definitely come back.
I came here for a late lunch with my family. The restaurant is cozy and surprisingly spacious. The service was fantastic and everyone was friendly. The food tasted extremely fresh and not oily at all. Great spot for fried seafood and I would definitely recommend it to anybody whose craving fish and chips in the city. Will definitely be coming back here. The only negatives is some of the seating is sticky (probably from the cleaning solution they use) and the pickle was pretty bad.
Local said it was good
A place to experience the very lobster rolls. If you are in the area then never miss it. It is very fresh and has the special taste.
Forget to take pictures, but the lobster bisque is really nice. Scraped out every last drop
We came here for a late lunch! It was a dirty place and dark, and the lights in the washrooms didnt even work; The food was horrible! My husband had calamari and French fries. The fries were cold, and the calamari was like rubber horrible. I had the Tacos...horrible
They were attentive to my special cooking request.
I m still dreaming about my meal. Each bite was a delight, and the fresh seafood taste just blew us away.
Overall, the dish was delicious. In particular, it was my first time trying Seafood Bouillabaisse, and it was so delicious that I dipped all my food, including the French fries, in this sauce! I chose the spicy sauce and it was spicy and spicy, so I enjoyed it very much. The linguine was delicious and not greasy, so I had a satisfying lunch!
Amazing fish! Fresh and delicious
Fantastic food and amazing service
Worst halibut and chips ever. Brutal. Most definitely the Greenland variety of halibut rather than the superior West coast variety. But the staff were unable to answer this question. Inedible, tasteless.
Really great spot for a quick bite. Dietary restrictions: Can be changed according to the need Parking: Street paid parking available Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: It s wheelchair accessible
Great plates at great prices.
Great food and great service. Sensibly priced.
from the front surf & turf, grilled seafood platter, Lobster poutine, fish fry basket. Drinks + tip cost 30,000 won per person. If this is the case, the price is not bad. I couldnt find any notable lobster restaurants near the CN Tower, so I went to the seafood restaurant instead. Overall, it was okay, but what was disappointing was that there were two boti potato menu items. I should have left out the fish fry and just had regular seafood.
I keep coming back to this place and with good reason. Their Shrimp po boy is great so are their seafood platters. Can t wait to go back again
Great place for seafood. Have options o haven t seen at other spots. Enjoyed the patio and friendly staff
Great restaurant for daily stops. Simply cool ambiance. Reliably very good food every time. Fully recommend. Option to go for salad instead of fries with the fish for healthy meals
Good fish, possibility to choose more varieties! Good service and average prices.
From the outside, the restaurant doesnt look like much, but we still had a great time!!! The maximum score is obvious, I advise you to eat there after going to the market!
We went here couple times and first time everything was great. Unfortunately on our second try red snapper smelled super fishy, way more than normal. We eat fish a lot and fresh snapper is not supposed to smell like that. They refused to replace the fish so we had to share a portion of trout.
Moist, fresh, succulent salmon!!!
Food is great, big portions, staff is awful! Rude, not helpful and clearly couldn t care less about customers. Asked for ketchup which took them 5 mins to discuss and give me 2 small packages and when I asked for more you could hear her eyes rolling
I had enjoyed this place, the fries are very good. However, I had a terrible experience there recently. I ordered grilled fish with salad. I noticed the strange texture of the fish while chewing, so I looked closely, and noticed that the fish skin was covered in scales. I shuddered, it was quite disgusting, the hair on my body stood up. I brought my plate to the people working at the kitchen to ask if it s just a mishap or do other pieces have scales on as well. a woman answered that it s not their fault, because it s the people upstairs who clean the fish, and told me to just scrape them off myself. I had completely lost my appetite, and just thinking of the gross texture still gives me shivers.
Very tasty, real food! Mom, whos a picky eater likes it! Food
The food was so delicious and great price!
Sat in the patio and had the best lobster quesadillas EVER. Gave us 3 and that cheese on the bottom! And full of lobster! Love it.
Best lobster quesadillas I ve ever had. So fresh and delicious.
We called here for food, as it was convenient to our hotel. Ate there with our daughter whos in Toronto for a year. Really tasty food and reasonably priced. Food
Came here a couple of times, great service, good fresh food well seasoned. Would recommend!
Just so good!
One of our favorite place in town - we are Brazilians and we highly recommend it.
Amazing food! Knocked off a star because they charge for mayo and because the server disappeared after she brought the food forcing us to go inside for anything we needed. Food
Delicious, massively recommend their seafood chowder and lobster roll
Fish was crispy with a nice tartar sauce, although I did enjoy the lobster grilled cheese more (would get this again).
I stopped by Market Street Catch near St. Lawrence Market for lunch around 2 p.m. on a Sunday. The cozy size of the restaurant gives it an intimate feel, which I appreciated. Service was decent, with staff being fairly prompt and polite. The food was passable, though, unfortunately, the fish didnt strike me as particularly fresh. While the overall experience was okay, the meal didnt quite live up to my expectations, especially when it comes to the quality one would anticipate so close to such a renowned market known for fresh fare. Its an adequate spot for a quick lunch, but the food might not dazzle those with a keen taste for seafood.
Nice little spot in the market.
Bad customer service and bad attitude. Got our order wrong and when we asked for a refund of the difference, they refused to refund the correct amount until I showed them the calculation, which they previously insisted that we were wrong. Didn t apologise. It s just simple maths. Food wise the fries were bad. McDonald s has better fries. Fish was ok but I couldn t confirm what fish I was eating because our order was messed up. Bad experience.
Ordered Crab cake sandwich.. it was very fresh and tasty!
This is a great choice if you want to eat something different, fresh sea food ,good sizes and affordable prices.
Today I ordered Lobster Roll, cost was 25 dollars, I expect a well made sandwich, the Lobster was so little and the bun was too cold and too Dry. Not buttered like any other lobster roll. Very disappointed. Owner should look at what the kitchen is doing am sure they don t want to serve such food
We tried the fish and chips - halibut and haddock. We though over 42$ was a bit atrocious considering the ambience, plastic cups of tartar, and, having to walk up to the cashier to ask for water even though we ordered dine-in. The fish was tasty for sure, so if you re a fan of fish and chips - recommend trying it out.
Smelled great from the street which is what enticed me in - sadly didn t entirely measure up to that first impression. Got the cod and fries. Three reasonably sized pieces of cod, fish was good but batter was overdone and too crispy. Fries were of the tiny shoestring variety and were too hard and crunchy. Spoonful of coleslaw was mostly buried somewhere under it all. Portion was generous but didn t like the fries enough to finish them. Compared to the best in the city, past (Penrose) and present (Sea Witch), merely ok. Not a patch on proper fish and chips from a shop in the UK. That said, they also do stuff like lobster rolls and fish tacos which I m curious to try.
The ingredients were fresh. The food had such a splash of favor.
The lobster roll are amazing and really full of lobsters.. love the place will be back soon.. highly recommended
Scotia Plaza Location - Very disappointed. Ordered the Mahi Mahi. Received 3 small pieces of fish that was so overcooked it had the texture of overcooked chicken and was completely flavorless. Rice was crunchy in parts. $22 with drink - will not return nor recommend.
I dont know what was wrong with the food but the lobster didnt taste fresh and my girlfriend and I had stomach problems later in the day
Ask for their delicious hot spot
WOW, just WOW! Delicious and a must go to if you havent been. If youve been, its for sure a return over and over again.
I usually go to Buster Sea cove at the St.Lawrance Market. However, they are closed for renovations. I ordered a red snapper meal with fries. I will be honest it was HORRIBLE. The snapper smelt fishy, and fries were soggy and raw, and it took over 20 minutes to prepare. I wont go back to this location.
Great place to eat.
Place was good Stuff was also decent but the food was trash Except the salad and lemon we don t like anything All the foods are old and smelly, and the octopus was burnt and overcooked nothing is fresh Even the fries don t have any taste We just wasted our money
It is quite rare to have a reasonably priced seafood restaurant next to such a major tourist destination as St. Lawrence market. As a local I absolutely appreciate it and eat/order here often. The food is prepared fresh, with a good variety of grilled and deep fried seafood items as well as pastas. Pro tip - consider dining in, fresh from the grill rather than ordering a take out.
Best seafood in the city !!!
10 of 10 !!!
Absolutely loved this place! Great variety of fish options. I ordered rainbow trout and my friend had swordfish, both were nicely cooked and served with salad. Loved the simplicity but yet super yummy. Ambience was relaxed and service was great. Prices are very reasonable. I can t wait to come back and try other dishes.
My boyfriend & I got the spicy lobster grilled cheese and fries and the lobster roll with fries to share. The spicy lobster grilled cheese was so tasty and stuffed with lobster & cheese! The lobster roll was so fresh and buttery. The fries were also amazing and we got a side of chipotle mayo which was really good. The price was good considering the portion, freshness & quantity & I d come back here any day. 10/10!
A must-try spot! It was the first time for me and my friend and we ended up ordering the same thing Lobster Roll with fries. The portion size is great and the food was really good. The staff didnt rush us out, we were there till closing, which we appreciated. Ill be coming back to try the other items on their menu.
Love the food and the staffs are all really nice!
Amazing food
I tried the fried halibut it was good but not that much, the lobster roll which was highly recommended i didn t find tasty at all, bread wasn t fresh and the lobster flavor was not that good, i ordered shrimp meal for my kid, the shrimp was really good, and finally the fried calamari is really good, i highly recommend that
Great quick location for fish and chips! Ordered the Halibut Bun with fries and it was quick to pick up the order. The fish could have been bigger, but it was flavourful.
It was great and staffs were friendly! Craving for lobster roll and came here for dinner. I got the lobster roll and salad and it was delicious! However, the only thing I didn t like was the salad wasn t too fresh ( some of the leaves were yellow) :/
Amazing fresh food. We initially set off for busters sea cove but it was closed. We walked a minute and was so glad we stumbled upon this. Shrimp Po boy and sea food tacos were so good. What a nice surprise
Excellent fish and chips. First time in ordering here due to Good Friday will try other menu items, like lobster and shrimps
Diner vibe. Great portion. Food is okay but it s a great spot
Great quality and very tasty!
Ive ordered a delivery, and oh boy was it bad. For $28.75 I got one shrimp, a dry as sand piece of swordfish, and two chewy pieces of calamari. I used to love this place, so Im a little heartbroken.
These guys know their way around a nice bit of fish. Im a big fan of the shrimp poboy as a treat for lunch. A little pricey but thats what you get for quality seafood when youre nowhere near the sea. Quick and delicious, which is all you need.
How bad can a food be? Small meat portions, tons of potato, bad seasoning!! I am a big fan of fish and chips and Calamaris, both was terrible!
Amazing grill fish sandwich
Grilled fish sandwich is goooood.
Ordered lobster poutine and lobster grilled cheese
bomb food
I m 9 months pregnant and ordered a sandwich on ritual. I asked if I could eat it at one of the many empty tables they had at 8:30pm and they said no. I had been experiencing bad leg pain and needed to rest my feet for a second. Terrible service and won t be returning.
Calamari was some of the best we have had. Octopus was meh. Crab cakes were above average. Ask for their spicy sauce!
Perfect quick lunch spot. Loved the fried plate, but plenty of other prep options, as well as burgers. Helpful, friendly service with a smile. p.s. the smelts were delicious
Octopus tacos were charred and overcooked. Not impressed for the price
Great food, fresh seafood. Overall a good experience. Ordered the kids grilled cheese sandwich, jumbo prawns with fries and the ahi tuna on salad. All of it was very tasty
Great food. Highly recommended.
Always perfectly prepared seafood.
Great location for homestyle seafood!
One of my favourite restaurants in Toronto! They serve very fresh seafood and in great ways. Our favourites are the fried fish tacos and lobster rolls. Highly recommend!
I ordered halibut, which is one of the most expensive items on the menu. Sadly the halibut came overcooked. Very thin dried slices. I am willing to give this place a second chance. However, not ordering halibut again.
Greate place to have a lunch after visiting the st. Lawrence market. Lots of grilled and otherwise prepared seafood options. We tried Grilled Seafood platter and Grilled Shrimp with salad, both were absolutely delicious. There is no full table service so you need to order food from the counter and they will bring it to the table. There are about 4 tables available at the patio and more inside. I found the patio seating is much better. They also have beers including some from local brewery, but cans only, no draught. The prices are on a higher end for such place, possible due to good location.
I loved the experience! Amazing service, delightful food and great environment!
Tonight for dinner, my brother told me to try out Market Street Catch! Him and I had a quick bite to eat at this food establishment and the place was an absolute hit!! I ordered their lobster poutine which was delicious!!! Ill definitely be coming back here again in the future.
I mean, it s okay. Large portions but average food. Lobster roll left much to be desired. Lobster bisque just tasted like there was way too much cream in it
Shrimp PoBoy was Fantastic!
catch is located just opposite the SLM, boasting a menu similar to Buster s. I ordered the Lobster Roll with Salad side (also comes with fries side) for $23. with great price comes great expectation. were they met? well. kind of. roll was made on the spot, with a short wait time and very friendly staff! i m not a bit lobster eater, if any at all, and the taste of the roll when I first bit in took me by surprise. there s a mix of spices, herbs and sauces to bind the lobster meat together, the richness thing nicely together with the light salad and vinegar gravy that slices through. coleslaw also provides another edge of crunch and texture to the roll. the bread was also soft and buttered nicely, the the cherry tomatoes in the pasta (while limited) was surprisingly fresh and tasty. all around a pretty balanced meal with a portion that s just a tad too much for me (but that really means more for later!) - broke college kid
Tasty food with excellent service!!!
If you like seafood, there will be something on the menu for you. Great variety. The food was excellent. The seafood tasted fresh and the fries and potatoes were seasoned nicely. Fair prices for lobster rolls, as well, at $22 and it comes with fries. Nothing went wrong during our visit. Unfortunately, I cant give full stars because someone in our party got food poisoning after eating here. Im certain that doesnt happen often as you can tell by this locations stellar rating. Im sure Ill even be back to try something new. Just have to be honest and tell it like it is.
service was mediocre. No AC but the food was great and that s what counts.
Pleasantly surprised with the culinary offering of this business, unbeatable attention. Highly recommended.
The food is pretty good. Service not so much. They only have a select menu 45 - 30mins before closing which limits your selections. Super disappointing when you travel all the way there to try their good food and support a local business. If you do decide to go here for either dine in or take out, be sure to count your change after paying. I didnt and they clearly gave me the wrong amount back!!!
The calamari poboy was amazing. Highly recommend. This is a must try place in Toronto !!!
The flavors from the grilled fish to the home made tarter on the po boy sandwich are un believable. The chef obviously knows flavor that makes your pallet wanting more!
Love the lobster grilled cheese! Since everything is made fresh to order, expect a small wait for your food. If you are grabbing lunch during a work day, plan for a longer dining experience or order takeout ahead.
I had the grill sword fish with salad. I also had the lobster bisque. Both were delicious. My husband had the BBQ octopus and he had shrimp po boy. Both were delicious, but he preferred the shrimp po boy
Great service
Tried their shrimp po boy today (probably my fourth time) using a food delivery app. Unfortunately, the fried shrimp was burned. The rest of the sandwich tasted fine. Unfortunate experience because prior times eating here, the quality and taste had been great. Hope the staff are more mindful in the future.
A great place to eat seafood
Loved food and service!
The best food and amazing service
Great lobster grilled cheese
Everything was so delicious! We got the lobster bisque, crab cakes, spicy lobster grilled cheese and lobster roll and everything was so good! Top fav was the lobster bisque! Definitely recommend this place if you re craving lobster!!
I gave this place 3 chances because it used to be good but they are now extremely under-cooking the salmon. I even specifically asked them to be careful and fully cook it but they continue doing what they do best, under-cooking the salmon. (What happened guys?)
Best fish and chips!
Very very good food, fast service, tuna or the swordfish are very recommend
More places should be like this. Fresh healthy food and tasty too!
Really delicious food but the only thing I don t like, the tables are very sticky and greasy. We have just a picture of after of food we were so hungry overall we recommend this restaurant
Always delicious and fresh seafood!
The staff were very kind and the lobster grilled cheese was delicious.
Excellent place. Tasty food, friendly service and cozy atmosphere.
Tried the Lobster poutine and swordfish, they were delicious.
The only downside is that I cant get the seafood by itself and it has to come with fries or a salad. I ended up going for the grilled seafood platter which was a really good option and pretty good size.
Good fresh seafood. Large variety of dishes to select from. They even have a few meat dishes for those non-seafood lover. The only downside is service can be slow during busy times.
Great experience! Some dishes really stand out (below), large portions, good value-for-money. GREAT SERVICE from the staff, especially Elisa ~ thanks! First some deets. Not a huge dining area: about 6 tables seating 2-4 each. If busy, there s a long bar table facing the open kitchen, seats 6-8. Patio s a good option this time of year: about 4 tables seating 2-4 each. Order at the counter (for both dine in & takeout). They ll give you a number and bring the food to you when it s ready. The food! Lobster Roll is the clear go-to: big chunks, fresh, a touch of spice for some kick. Grilled Octopus is a winner but eat it right away or it gets too chewy. For fried fans, go for the Halibut. All fixings are top notch: tartar sauce & coleslaw esp. (btw it s a dry coleslaw, which personally I prefer).
Great Quality food. And u dont feel like ur being robbed on the quantity. Loved it!!
Very lovely and friendly staff. The shrimp polboy sandwich was so good that I felt like time stopped and I was floating. Would give 5 stars except the swordfish sandwhich was pretty gross and undercooked. Swordfish was still clear. I ll still be back for that polboy though.
Just went here with my friend and we both ended up with food poisoning and vomited right after.
Really good
Delicious and fresh. Difficult to resist. Excellent poboys and general fish dishes.
Small cozy restaurant just off a side street of the St. Lawrence Market. Great service. Staff were friendly and attentive. We tried their Grilled Seafood Platter, Lobster Rigatoni, Steamed Mussels & Clams, Surf & Turf. Food served warm and yummy. Portion and prices were decent. We loved the lobster rigatoni. It was creamy & full of flavor. The steak we asked for medium rare but came out well done. There was only one shrimp on the seafood platter. Overall experience was good. Dine-in and patio available. Will visit again to try other seafoods on menu.
Tasty crab cakes. Quick service. Good value. Dog friendly-ish.
Sorry no pics. When food looks that good the last thing that I think of is taking a picture. Luckily others are not as ravenous as I am. Food tasted as good as it looks, amazing. I recently had a $40 lobster roll at a high-end restaurant, this one beat it by 1000% at half the price. Cant wait to visit again. Considering their casual set up, service was great. Love it here.
It was decent, got the lobster roll and 3 taco plate. The tacos were a bit hard/stale and the roll for the lobster was a bit thick. Lobster was fresh and tasted good. Overall it was a good value sonce we used the bogo canada app, otherwise wouldnt care to come back
Had it on Uber eats a few times. Hard to eat in there bc of the frier smell but great outside seating in summer. Loved the food esp crab cakes and coconut shrimp.
Ive done take out from here a few times but dont think I will again after last time. This was a couple of weeks ago, order was June 6th. Went in to grab my order and one of the line cooks had his Tim Hortons coffee cup sitting on the flat top grill. Obviously that half of the grill was off or low and being used just as a warming area, but to keep something that appears to be trash on a cooking surface in AN OPEN KITCHEN IN FRONT OF GUESTS was sickening. If that is the standard they present to the public one can only imagine how things are out of sight in the back. Ive worked in restaurants for years and it saddens me to see such apathy. Given the pretty low prices Id assume they are paying as little as they can in labor and getting what they pay for. The result being mediocre (but convenient) food prepared in possibly unsafe conditions. I hope Im wrong and this was a one off occasion, they seem to be in good standing with the health inspectors according to DineSafe.
Just had the lobster sandwich! Very very good and tasty. Fries were ok, I think they can be a little better. But kudos on the lobster roll. It was delicious.
One of my favourite lunch take out spots. The lobster roll is delicious, though once had a fair amount of shell in it. Do wish the lobster bisque was offered in a larger size, as I cannot get enough of it (but getting two orders seems indulgent).
Ive been here many times at quieter hours. Yesterday I was here at lunch time and I watched the line cooks for a while. My goodness they work intensely hard to put together multiple meals non-stop over the lunch time. I was so impressed at their speed, consistency, and cooperation with each other to put together consistently high quality sea food meals with multiple and different elements for each one. Bravo and thank you to the line cooks
We enjoyed having three tacos, BBQ octopus, calamari and crab cake sandwiches. Market Street Catch is always great for its offering of seafood over fries. Staff are friendly and there is seating inside and out. If they are busier there are plenty of outdoor spots to eat at if the weather is cooperative. Kid-friendliness: Our two boys enjoyed their food and staff were really good with them!
Good seafood
I ate here today (the red snapper) and got food poisoned two hours later. Somethings up with the fish.
I enjoyed my fresh seafood salad.
Will not be eating this restaurant s food again. All of the fried items tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil and the fries themselves were inedible.
Cashier lady has terrible customer service . She told me it would take 15 mins after I paid . I told her I was in a rush unfortunately I need a refund but she tells me there s no refunds yet there are no refunds sign anywhere in the store. I Tried to tell her she should tell her customers in the future the expectation time before paying especially since there s no refund and she starts to argue & yell at my face! Unnecessary and the tacos were tasteless which made the experience worse
Had the shrimp poboy, so good! Would highly recommend.
Honestly my favourite place. Quiet, cozy and directly across from the market. As an East Coast er it s the only place I eat seafood dining out. Whether it s takeout or stopping by for a quick bite before/after the market, it s always good and always fresh. Their lobster grilled cheese is out of this world! So much so that it convinces a girl with dietary restrictions to eat it. 11/10 should be my rating.
Location is really nice but the food is average.
Best seafood and shoe string fries , moderately priced. Was never disappointed here.
Fresh food, shrimp was very good. Friendly service also
Excellent grilled fish with flavorful fries
Nice! Would like to visit again.
The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was fresh and tasted amazing. I ordered the calamari, octopus and snapper.
Excellent seafood made to perfection in this humble seafood eatery.
Got the lobster on brioche bun. Maybe Im a purist, I would have loved to really taste the fresh lobster. The dressings detracted from it. Large portions. Friendly staff. Order beforehand to save time! There is outdoor seating in the summer closed to cars offered by the community. Enjoy some live music as well.
Saturday lunch was fishy. We ordered Calamari grilled, Red Snapper grilled and Halibut fried. The plates were big, fish portions enough. Two of us opted for salad instead of fries which was again a nice portion. The Red Snapper was delicious. Halibut I would have preferred pan fried not deep fried. And the Calamari meaty . Enjoyed our time there. The service was efficient and staff polite and nice and caring. I am def going back to try Lobsters next.
Fresh delicious fish!! Highly recommended
Good spot for fresh seafood by the market. Food and service are great but I find value is lacking quite a bit. That said, they are quite consistent and everytime Ive gone theyve prepared to the standards I expect from them. If youre in the mood for fresh fish or other dishes like seafood pasta, this Market Street Catch will hit that craving and likely wont dissapoint.
Fresh seafood cooked well.
The food is really delicious! The service is good and hygiene management seems to be good. The bathroom is also clean
Love going here for fish Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level entrance
Horrible experience went here order food for 6 people and they brought food for 4 of us after the cashier even double check the order with me and still mossing two orders never come back here again.
Outdoor seating. Bees 9/22. Wonderful jazz pianist and saxophone duo opposite. Bouillabaisse was great; paired well with the Pinot Grigio available by the glass.
Food always fresh, it is a little tourist-ty but you are in St Lawrence Market after all. Good for tacos and sandwiches.
Not that bad, but I think it was too small for one plate.
Very good meal, I ordered seafood boullinaise & my wife a fish basket. The service & taste of both were well worth it. Highly recommended.
Man this place hit my spot so badly! Great food, friendly service and cozy! Made me feel like i m back in the Mediterranean! Thanks y all!!!
I dined in and had the lobster roll & salad which was about $21 after tax. The lobster rolls are on a 6 inch bun. I ordered two more to take home and payed $42 for two more 2 inch lobster roll and a tiny sauce container filled with salad. Food was great but the portions are insulting. How are you gonna charge me $21 for a 1/3 of the portion you just served me. Outrageous. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Delicious and fresh seafood! Everything was seasoned amazingly and fried to perfection. The calamari was cooked so well, also the spicy lobster grilled cheese was a pleasant surprise!! Really get your moneys worth on that one.
Freshly made, good sea food.
Food is really really good. Had the salman sandwich with fries.
The Market street- Catch is located in the opposite lane of the famous St. Lawrence Market. The nearest streetcar stop is Jarvis street and from there it is a five-minute walk. I like this cozy, casual, small restaurant. They have outside sitting arrangements too. Order pickup and delivery are available. The food was super fresh and with a good portion. The price of the food is ok not too pricy. The staffs are super friendly and welcoming. The food comes pretty fast after ordering. My son ordered Lobster Roll and fries which were super tasty. The calamari fries were well-breaded. The fish and chips and seafood platter are also very good. We enjoyed the food very much. I highly recommend this place for casual dining with family and friends. It is going to be my spot next time I am going to shop at St. Lawrence Market.
My family loves ordering from MSC. The food never disappoints, great portion for the $$ youre paying. The quality of food is also exceptional - its always piping hot / freshly cooked when we receive it and do takeout. We always get their seafood linguine in rose sauce, shrimp po boy, and lobster roll with salad - these never disappoint. Their clam chowder is a little too watery for me though, I like mine a little creamier/thicker. Overall, a good seafood restaurant in the neighborhood. #supportlocalbusiness #seafood #restaurant #stlawrencemarket
First visit here. Great place to enjoy fish and chips. Reasonable price. Good portion.
Lobster roll and shrimp poboy
Nice lunch spot, with great seafood. Staff is very friendly.
Went there 3 times, tried multiple things Arctic char and Salmon great for the price , halibut and especially shrimp are bad
Must-try items: Lobster grilled cheese, burger (this was a pleasant surprise, tbh) and salmon plate seasoning and temperature were on point
Excellent Sea Food. Like being in a small Fish & Chips diner in NS or NB. Definitely recommend. Food : 5/5
This gem is hidden in plain sight. Delicious food. Great price and portion size.
