Taste the fun side of fancy at Red Lobster, the world's largest and most-loved seafood restaurant company serving high quality, freshly sourced seafood for the seafood lover in everyone! Whether it's a special celebration or everyday occasion, take your day up a notch by diving into delicious seafood at Toronto Red Lobster.
Fancied some seafood so popped in here. Delicious, decent portions. Full by the time I left. Went for the Ultimate Feast, a bit of everything. The cheese scones are very moreish. The snow crab is tasty, but the shell is too soft to use the cracker. Have to use teeth for most of it. Use the butter from the prawn dish. Much tastier than the melted butter on the side. The red sauce really good with the scone, or if wanted a less calorific dip. I had a beer and tipped, cost came to $83. Expensive, but is still cheaper than if I had the dame back in the UK. Service was good. Atmosphere was quiet. I went on a Thursday evening, so it wasn't very happening.
Pretty good place to visit if you are a lover of seafood. Food is still good quality although comparing to our last visit the Feast plate quality slightly declined. It was kind of overfried and dry. Clam chowder soup and crab rolls were amazing and usual 😇 Service and food delivery was pretty fast and good
The lobster portions were quite small and pricey , and it didn't come with any sides—you have to order those separately. Despite this, the lobster was delicious.
The seafood wasn’t horrible but lacked when it came to flavour in pretty much everything except for the biscuits and garlic shrimp. My bill came to a total of 130$ I purchased the sweet chilli shrimp 7/10 and and bacon macoroni 1/10 as appetizers and sent the macororni back after one bite. I also ordered the ultimate feast for myself 7/10 and my girlfriend ordered a salmon dish 6/10 & we also got a shot of tequila each ( which was VERY small ) My girlfriend was very dissatisfied at the fact she found a hair on her Coca Cola beverage which we took a funny video of. It was a bit upsetting because I remember red lobster being a lot better growing up. The waitress was decent and I had no complaints with the service other than needing to wait a while to get attention.
I had a great time at Red Lobster on Dundas during their all-you-can-eat shrimp promotion. The shrimp was delicious, and the variety of flavors kept things interesting with each round. The service was attentive, ensuring my plate was never empty for long. The restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was welcoming—perfect for a casual dining experience. If you’re a shrimp lover, this is definitely a spot to check out. Overall, a satisfying visit that exceeded my expectations.
I heard Red Lobster was closing down so I wanted to try it before that happened. I don't know if that's even true, but nonetheless I went as a group of 7. The clam chowder was disappointing - could have been warmer and didn't have a lot of flavour. The unlimited biscuits were amazing - definitely worth the hype. I got the ultimate feast so I could try multiple things: Maritime lobster tail, garlic shrimp, snow crab legs and Walt's Favourite Shrimp. Served with rice and coleslaw. I really enjoyed this. ($53.99). I got a dessert - Warm Apple Crostada ($8.99). I enjoyed it, but was jealous of my friend's dessert: the Brownie Overboard ($11.49). I would recommend that instead if you have a sweet tooth. Our server was very attentive and friendly and polite. Great service!! Would go back again.
I just ordered a simple appetizer and smoothie. I chose mashed potatoes as my side, and they were creamy and smooth, with a delicate texture! Although the shrimp were fried, they weren't greasy.Further more, the dipping sauce was a perfect match. I love it! Service was great as well.
Fast and friendly service. The interior could use some modernization, and the dining area some cleaning. There were crumbs on my seat from the previous diners, but they were easily swept away. Apart from that, the food was much better than when I last visited five years ago (everything was saturated with salt). The lobster was amazing, as well as the crab and shrimp. I will definitely be back. DON'T CLOSE!
I had an AMAZING experience at Red Lobster! Our waitress, Marina, was incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. It makes me sad to see that not many people are going there. I think if the restaurant had a more modern look, it might attract more customers.
Love red lobster. Food was great and service was fantastic even with them being very busy.
Very quiet when I walked. Service was great. Food was lovely. Very laid back and homely atmosphere.
Lobster bisque and bacon macn cheese very salty. Would not order again. Prices too high for this type of venue. Server was excellent!
Its the incredible team that makes the place so special. Yes, I spent years in the industry. One individual is particularly exceptional, Erin is an amazing bartender/server seemingly working the entire restaurant and the one stuck dealing with the delivery people barging in. Making drinks and running food, she didnt stop moving for a second, but did so whilst being courteous and professional at all times. I ran into 2 friends who both commented that she is beautiful. I hadnt noticed, but I know she is a very impressive young woman and does an outstanding job. Thank you.
Always my favorite place to visit with my girlfriend, food is so damn good, price is reasonable! 10/10 coming back again and again!
Visited here two weeks ago for dinner both nights while visiting Toronto.Great food and great staff.Mango daquari is now my new favourite drink
What nostalgia to be back at Red Lobster. Great food and fast service.
No more all you can eat shrimp very sad
I was really disappointed with my experience here. For a lobster restaurant, they seemed oddly short on lobster dishes, and what they did have was overpriced and underwhelming. On the positive side, our waiter was friendly and attentive, which made the experience a bit better. However, with limited lobster options and prices that don t reflect the quality, I wouldn t recommend this place. There are much better seafood spots out there for anyone looking for good lobster at a reasonable price.
Dining experience was excellent.
I recently visited the Red Lobster restaurant and was unfortunately disappointed with my meal. While the ambiance was pleasant, the steak and pasta I ordered were overly salty, making it difficult to enjoy the flavors of the dish. I hope this feedback helps improve the seasoning balance for future diners. How does that sound?
Bread was good. Portions small. One lobster was great. One was tiny and full of water. Baked potatoes were hard like rocks Expected more
Every time I come here I get great service and food.
The interior space has a nostalgic retro style, the seats are spacious and comfortable, the waiters are very patient and friendly to help us solve meal problems, the taste is acceptable to the general public, and the price is reasonable
Everything was excellent. The young man at reception was friendly, Saza our waitress was attentive. Delicious food
Was not at the address appearing online.
Nice AYCE deal I recommend !
I love free biscuits
Perfectly cooked seafood we loved it the portions are fare for that price, and service was excellent) we will definitely come back)
The food was delicious! We came a year ago and wanted to come back because of the positive experience we had. It was even better than we remembered. Even the sides are great and we can t forget the biscuits!
I had the pleasure of being served by Mia E. during our Thanksgiving dinner, and he made the experience truly special from start to finish. His warm and attentive service elevated the evening, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the meal. The food was also fantastic delicious, fresh, and served in generous portions. Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience, thanks in large part to Mia s outstanding service. We will definitely be returning!
For those that have been to Red Lobster before and have some nostalgia, its exactly as you remember it, nothing has changed (with the exception of the prices naturally). For those that havent, I am biased, as this is a place my family frequently went to for celebrations. Its cozy, staff are great and food is delicious (if you love seafood).
Very nice place I recommended
Used to come her for lunch or any celebrations while still working (over 20 years ago), then now RETIREE!! The food, price are unbeatable in downtown. Our server, Kellie, thanks for going above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was perfect. Genesis, you rock :D Food
I come here all the time now and the food here is top notch and absolutely amazing, so is the service!! Everyone has been incredible but I want to make a special shout-out to Greg, he s super attentive and goes above and beyond, he s the best!! Thank you Greg and everyone else too! Looking forward to coming back
Excellent service by Shareef Delicious biscuits as complementary starter, garlic shrimps flatbread, ultimate feast and warm apple crostata for desserts ! Food : 5/5
Had a fish&chips, mediocre
Lovely crab leg!
The food is excellent, the service is not bad. I was outraged that my wife and I sat from 4:30 to 8:00 during this time we ate two plates of crab, a plate of shrimp, and various other starters drank 40 oz of beer each and ordered two boards of tequila mixes (3x 3 oz). We wanted to order another hard liquor, but the manager said once that due to the law we can order one hard liquor drink per hour. Asking what law he was referring to he said smart serve, I read all the information on smart serve and found nothing like that. I realize that the smart serve rules say that you have to make sure your customers dont get too drunk. I am willing to give an establishment 5 stars if they provide me with a link where I see a clear rule that says one alcoholic beverage per hour. For full disclosure I am a 215 foot man and I was completely sober. We wanted to have a birthday party here now we dont!
Red lobster is one of my go-to places for seafood, a lot of choices, and a decent price. I love their sauces and lobster, and the service is always great, and the orders dont take long. Food
I always love going to Red Lobster, the food is always great and the service is always great.
We need you in Chile!!
I had lobster thursday deal for two... at least when it finally got here because the waiting time had my food brought to me closer to luke warm on the cold side, nevertheless the service was very kind and open minded about our alchohol free options. Kid-friendliness: very kid friendly and menu options for them.
My partner dined in the other day and my goodness, has this place gone downhill the last few years. Our server was Barbara and she was just plain bad at it. I get it, she may have her own stuff going on, and I in no way expect my server to put on a show. That being said, she didnt introduce herself just straight to drink order. After the initial interaction, she just did not check in at all. Barbara would walk by our table, and wouldnt even glance our way, so we had to flag her down EVERY time. Its not like we were wanting to ask for stuff every 3 minutes either. While she was serving us, we got nothing, just a yup/ok and was super standoffish. This is the second time weve gotten her and both times were consistently lackluster. The food was just very mid. It was fine but all of it came out warm, my salad was kind of wilted and there was some grit in he muscles. It wasnt bad enough to mention, had Barbara ever checked in. The thing that really sealed the deal that we wont be back is the condition of the womens washroom. The first stall I tried to use had literal poop crappily (ha) wiped off the seat. Both soap dispensers had no soap but there was a bottle on the counter with no lid labeled hand soap. Its sad, my partner and I had some of our initial dates at this spot and have fond memories ( only 3 years ago too, not precovid days ). My advice, dont dine here, many better and cheaper options around.
Was impressed with the entire experience, me and my family love how friendly the staff is they treat you like family.
I visited this place for the second time but my experience was way worse than the first visit. The food was not as good as the first time. The server was rude and uninterested. We ordered the ultimate feast and they forgot to give us fries. We mentioned that the fries were missing and then they got us fries after 10mins. The fries were soggy and cold. The crabs were dry and there was hardly any flavour. I am not sure why this experience was so different than my first one.
The steak was quite good, seafood surpringly nothing special. Ambiance good, service excellent.
Our server Sherif was amazing, he made sure even though it was a busy night that all of our needs were met.
Delicious!! Service was wonderful
Great staff! Great service. Wonderful hostess, server, and store management! Will definitely be visiting again soon :)
The staff here are always so sweet, I ve gotten the endless shrimp deal twice and it s been great both times! Delicious and fresh!
Very good service!
Not the same as it was,,,
Walked in and immediately got told that we might have an issue with stroller(even though one entire side of the restaurant was empty) Made us walk back to foyer twice until they found a seat (half the restaurant was empty!) Had us sitting for 7-10 minutes with no menu, no biscuits or offer of water. When they brought menus, they still hadnt brought biscuits or water. Eventually had to request said items and when they did arrive, no napkins... Finally got our food, had to hunt down server for napkins. We had empty plates and bread basket and drinks on our table for 20 minutes without being asked if we needed anything else. Had to hunt down server for bill which took him another 10-15 minutes to bring to us. More of a sidenote- even the bartender was extremely rude to the delivery drivers as she had them waiting while 7+ bags were already ready to go. She had 1 customer at the bar to attend to and he seemed like a regular as she was complaining to him. ( I thought bartenders are there to complain to not the other way around) Much rather spend $100 anywhere else. Was no expecting this to be our experience. Kid-friendliness: Kept telling us that strollers HAD to stay at the door. Had a infant who was sleeping.
Just another big group restaurant serving a very oily food.
UPDATE: CRAB FEST has a lobster topped with crab meat that SHOULD be on the everyday menu!!! MUST TRY!!! Then theres the BAIRDI CRAB for $5 more & OMG it was the length of a babies leg and the biggest, tasties pieces of crab Ive EVER had! MUST TRY & IMPRESS!!!! original/1st visit: SEAFOOD FEAST for both of us. Make sure to change your rice to the Lobster topped mashed potatoes for like $8! Delicious! All seafood was cooked to perfection, coming off the shell easily. Great friendly service and downtown location made our great date night as I havent been this quiet eating since... I cant remember... okay so maybe NOT the best place for a FIRST date then LOL Crab Queso entrée was a little runny but tasty nonetheless. The Lobster Caesar cocktail is worth the $15 to impress your date! ;)
The address on Google was incorrect, so we couldn t find it. Otherwise, I would rate 5 stars. Food was great!
My favourite place to go Totally recommended Food
Believe everything - and more - you have read about this place. Stunning. Exquisite. Charming. Get a table while you can, because this place is going places.
Cook it in butter might be the motto of this restaurant as almost all the seafoods were served covered in butter or with a cup of butter to dip in. The cheddar bay biscuit was pretty good, warm, flavorful, and unlimited refills...
Please Don t shut down. Love the food!!!! Tunis place in particular is amazing and clean and friendly staff Food
Never disappointed with red lobster fresh bread great service and delicious food
Delicious seafood and fantastic service at Red Lobster! Our server, Mark, was friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Ooooo
bland food, over worked staff
The food and service were okay, except when the waiter complained about the tip we gave. Nowadays, many restaurants set an 18% tip as the default, but customers are not responsible for the waiters wages. Please stop complaining about the tip we leave, especially when we can still hear you. (We still gave a 15% tip.)
Endless shrimp was fantastic
Atmosphere were excellent and food was good. Service is bit lacking.
Amazing value for money, great food and seriously amazing service by Saza! We had a lovely experience and would recommend.
Amazing time dog great food lobster was fresh and clean very nice waiter great looking food
I went in to red lobster last night for dinner. My server was Siham and must I say best service I have ever received. She was so sweet, lovely and kind.
Great service and fantastic food! We really enjoyed the whole 1.25 pound lobster and shrimp cocktail :)
Food was alright, good for a special occasion which was my case. However, all my stars go to Jorge. He is a true king, he was attentive and went way above and beyond. Management better not be sleeping on him
It s a restaurant with beautiful lighting, good atmosphere, and excellent service. However, the side dishes are better than the main dishes~~
I avoided red lobster for 15 years because everything tasted heavily of butter and salt. This time around, I was pleasantly surprised by the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo and Garlic Shrimp from the Ultimate Endless Shrimp. The lobster tail and crab from the Ultimate Feast were very tasty too. I highly recommend the Main Deck Margarita Flight drinks. Love the Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Friendly service.
The service was ok, the atmosphere too but the food was a disaster! Lobster pasta with tiny, barely visible pieces of lobster and lots of shrimp. The sauce was the worst I have ever eaten! It was just melted butter, I left three quarters of my dish and I felt really bad afterwards.
Save red lobster
I am very upset I had high hopes for this place . It was fathers day 11.45am Sunday 16th June 2024. and we went there as a family of five and the atmosphere was terrible the person that greeted us to the server were not pleasant and they looked like they were fed up and hated their job. it was our first time and no one explained to us how things worked. We didnt know the drink was free refill the server actually just refilled with no communication and this was same with the complimentary biscuits we didnt know and had to ask what they were there for. Im even upset I left a tip. I only left tip because food was great .Terrible wont be coming again. Food was actually quite good We tried shrimp two ways, surf and turf and the shrimp tacos.
Qe visited as a family of 4. Great food, and awesome service. The server and hostess were both very patient with our 4 year old, and he can be a handful sometimes. Id happily return here, we got a booth right in the corner so we dont bother other diners with a noisy child and that also gave us extra privacy so my wife could comfortably breastfeed the newborn.
Large bar/restaurant with cool music and great affordable seafood. Great service, large portions and happy foodies abound. A great find, will return!
Excelent service, food not as good as my last visit, 6 yrs ago
I expected a flashier restaurant, given its location. Instead it was a dark older interior. The food was basic and nothing impressive. In fact, I was disappointed when I ordered scallops and, instead of white round scallops, I received brown balls (see picture). Apparently they were breaded scallop balls. The menu, however, said nothing about this. Very disappointing. My daughter ordered a lobster and crab plate. The meat was dry and nothing like what weve had at other restaurants. Again, very disappointing. I dont expect to return to this location and would not recommend it.
Love it
Incredible place !! Good service amazing food!
Some of the greatest and most experienced service industry professionals work here. Eating here takes you back to a better time. Definitely one of the last remaining staples of downtown Toronto, and worth a visit.
Good food but the service was great. Siham was lovely and attentive.
We have been coming to this restaurant for about 10 years. Today, we are particularly thankful to Erin, who is not only a fantastic bartender, but took a wonderful care of us when we had a hard time securing a table. Her kindness amd professionalism always create a wonderful experience for the quests. Thank you for the decade of great experiences, Erin! Xo
Had a great experience here. Went for a family event and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. This restaurant is located in the middle of the downtown core, is easily accessible by transit and near parking and a great many shops and cafes including the Eaton Centre mall. The staff are friendly and kind, and the service and atmosphere are top notch. Cant wait to visit again!
If you like sea food this place is a must to try, although, if you re not into the sea food, you ll have options too. I really liked its atmosphere. Quality of food was ok. Portion sizes were great. I ll recommend it for try once.
Salmon bowl with crispy brussel sprouts is my current favourite.
Excellent service
Today, my partner and I decided to have lunch at Red Lobster. While the food was passable, the service was, without exaggeration, the worst and most disrespectful I have experienced in recent years. Firstly, our server never introduced himself, which left us unsure of his name throughout the meal. When we were ready to order, he rudely snatched the menus away without any semblance of courtesy. During our interactions, he repeatedly walked away before we had finished speaking. I politely requested a spoon, which was only brought to me after we had finished our meal, rendering it unnecessary. Additionally, without asking if my partner was finished and while there was still food on the plate, the server unceremoniously took away his dish. The most infuriating moment came when it was time to pay. The server had the audacity to pre-select the tip percentage, likely noticing our dissatisfaction. This prompted me to cancel the transaction and re-enter the receipt number just to choose the tip amount myself. Red Lobster must address these service issues. Its not potential losses that may bankrupt your business, but rather the poor customer service that will drive your company to ruin.
**Red Lobster is NOT closing in Canada** We had a lovely experience dining at Red Lobster for lunch. We ordered the Bar Harbour Lobster Bake that also had shrimp, mussels, bay scallops and was in a flavourful broth with linguine. Brussel sprouts were roasted, super crispy and flavourful. Michael our server was friendly and provided us with a great dining experience. Would return!
Amazing service, delicious food and great memories made at this prime location downtown. They were accessible, helpful and made light jokes which brightened the evening. Would return at the snap of my fingers! Wheelchair accessibility: Spectacular.
Super affordable prices, well-seasoned food, friendly staff. Despite being a franchise, the quality of the dishes leaves nothing to be desired. We were lucky and went on a Thursday where there was the option of starter, lobster, two types of shrimp and dessert for two people for 60 CAD. Its definitely worth the visit.
Red Lobster is a big chain of seafood restaurants. As an advantage, you can find the same high quality of food everywhere. However, as a disadvantage, the service is usually average at best and the atmosphere lacks personality. Overall, great food with average experience. Suggest going on Thursday and getting the dinner for two for $60. Vegetarian options: Several available. Dietary restrictions: Not clearly depicted. Parking: Suggest walking or uber. Kid-friendliness: Yes. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.
Service is very good. Our waiter is friendly and attentive. The place is clean, and seating is comfortable. The food is okay, but not spectacular. Standard fare for Red Lobster. A couple of really dodgy characters in the washroom, not sure if they were customers or not. Quite surprising, that. Otherwise, a decent restaurant.
Great culinary experience!
Nice restaurant with a good service, however after having mussels felt sick for the whole 2 days :(
The food was amazing i recommend the shrimp cocktail. The people were also very nice and the bathrooms were very clean. Parking: Lots of parking spots
I went to get lobster on my birthday. I was very impressed. The biscuits were warm and delicate. But most importantly the lobster was tender and delicious. We got the walts shrimp and theyre absolutely amazing.
Too rude staff and manager.
I had a good experience, but the food was different from what was on the menu.
Loved what I got. It was take our but they deserved on taste and portion size
The food and service is just not that great the shrimps are so small, the seafood quality is meh. If you want seafood just go Captain s Boil The cheddar biscuits are unlimited so that s great, free refills on non-alcoholic drinks too. I think the only thing I really did enjoy was the hush puppies with honey jalapeno butter cuz it was unique and yummy. Seems like they have a really good and affordable drinks menu so oddly, come here for drinks
Ordered two different orders on the family day. The quality and taste of the food dropped alarmingly. They missed to deliver complete dessert as ordered. Food was oily. Redlobester is one of my favorite restaurants but it is loosing its reputation fast.
Good atmosphere. Service not great. Server seemed to be rushing through even when the place did not seem busy, didnt recommend any dishes. Servers did not show any enthusiasm.
It was our first time at Red lobster and we got the all you can eat shrimp which was amazing! Our favourites were the garlic butter shrimp and the grilled shrimp skewer with fresh lemon. The garlic butter shrimp was very flavourful and always served hot and I definitely suggest trying it. The island jumbo coconut shrimp was nice and had a slightly sweet taste to it. The popcorn shrimp and Walt s favorite shrimp were alright only because the breading didn t add any flavour and the oil it was prepared in made it taste a bit bitter. I wouldn t get those two options again. The service was great and our waitress was very friendly :) I would definitely come back just for the garlic butter shrimp and their cheddar bay biscuits!
They sat the four of us at a small table. Service was very slow initially and wait time was very long. Maybe for that reason I don t think their food is as good as it used to be anymore.
I went on a Monday afternoon with friends for Endless Shrimp. I enjoyed myself, and the food was good. FYI the food was salty, so if youre sensitive to that, you wont enjoy it.
Steaks, surf & turf and shrimp are usually awesome here. Lobsters are served on the smaller side unfortunately. Service is always pretty good but it can get busy in the evenings & wait times are long if you dont have a reservation. Some email promos dont apply because they are only valid in the US? Other than that youll probably have a good experience .
We had amazing experience here. The food was super delicious and the service was on the highest level. Will definitely go here again
We love to come here on weekends because despite the long waits, the food is hot and fresh. The drinks could be better, the martinis specifically. Always extremely sweet and room temperature. Overall food is great, service is great. We will return!
One of the best fish restaurants we visited. Simple and without pathos and very tasty. The service is top notch. We were served by an older gentleman, he was very attentive. Kid-friendliness: Coloring book
Excellent service and decent food.
The atmosphere there was good and Maria was our server we were group of 5 some of which were vegetarian so she initiated us some vegetarian food out of the menu which was not there in the menu. Overall, we liked the experience and enjoyed we will surely visit again.
Its been a while since I ate there since they dont have those in quebec anymore, and when I told the waiter, she got a bib just for me!! It was a very exciting meal.
Have been asked to wait 15 minutes when the restaurant was half empty on Wednesday lunch. Dark and uninviting place. Starter finally arrived with the meals. Tacos and biscuits were nice but the mozzarella sticks were dry and the grilled chicken and shrimp was not my kind of thing (no sauce, no cooking...), and at the end the bill is not cheap for a lunch. Nice service though.
Service and food preparation were on point at this location! Its been years since my partner and I had red lobster so we decided to pop in and try their endless shrimp. Food was prepared well, portions were good, and value is excellent. Tastes and flavours were just as I remembered, basically butter and salt, but expectations were met and everything was cooked well. Service was absolutely amazing and our server Sherif went above an beyond to be accommodating and ensure we were well taken care of. Definitely made our experience extra enjoyable and would be back strictly because of the service. While theres many better options for seafood across the city, Red Lobster holds that iconic family seafood restaurant status and this location holds up well. Great for a date or family outing, well definitely be back when craving some buttery biscuits and endless shrimp!
First time trying the create your own ultimate feast that has 2 premium choices (we got maritime lobster tails) and 2 classic shrimp selections (shrimp linguine alfredo and garlic shrimp) + a side (mashed potatoes). The feast was $54 and we loved everything on our plate. We also ordered the fried scallops, it was okay but won t order that again. Overall a great meal for two!
our server Siham today was super nice!! great location and great service!!
Parking: Try the Tacos!! Food
The place and service are great, but the all-you-can-eat shrimp meal is highly not recommended! Except for the few styles, they are all ordinary medium-sized shrimps with no surprises. Most of them are fried with sticky flour, and after eating a few, I feel like I don t want to eat anymore. And I felt very thirsty while eating, so I drank three large glasses of water. My mouth was very dry on the way home, and I kept drinking water after I got home! !
Was ignored for 5 minutes to pick up my order. Servers just kept walking past me. Place was pretty much empty, not surprising with that kind of service.
Im highly disappointed at the service in the Toronto Dundas/Bay location. We had called at about 5pm to make a reservation and the person we spoke to said we do not need a reservation. Now we arrived at the restaurant and we were told we have to wait 1 hour before we get seated. This is almost a norm at this location as I have experienced this several times, but todays event is even more annoying because we called prior to coming. No one informed us via phone that reservations can be made only for a company of 6. Neither were we told that we can make a reservation via the app as well. If you are 2 or 4 persons, no reservations will be made if you call, and you most definitely will wait a minimum of 30 minutes to get seated. This is not good practice. We like Red Lobster, but this practice of long waitlist or poor communication to customers via phone is very discouraging.
It is not the best restaurant, but it is very suitable for tourists to experience local life, and the taste is good.
My wife and I just dined there recently for our anniversary. The manager Jay was extremely attentive and courteous. The server Shariff went above and beyond to make certain everything went just perfect . Many thanks
Best Red Lobster Ive been in!!!
Honestly I came here for a date and the food wasn t the best but the service makes up for it. We only had to wait maybe 2 minutes before we got to our table and our server(not sure of his name) but he I believe is hispanic and he was so kind. I would only come back because of him. He let us know what the best sellers were and any specials and told us what drinks are popular. He always was attentive to our table and brought water and bread any time he came to our table. Just because of him my review is high but the food was a little cold and underwhelming. My favourite part of my dish was the walts shrimp.
Exceptional dining experience at the Red Lobster last night! Soumyas impeccable service added a personal touch to our meal. The atmosphere was delightful, and the food was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to returning for more culinary delights and outstanding service from Soumya!
Restaurant is in serious need of a renovation, its very dark and dingy.
After long waiting in the waitlist in December 24th night. Seham was a very nice person to serve us and recommended a delicious dishs to us, we recommended this Res Lobster branch
We have been served by Siham, she was so kind and took her time to explain the menu items. Food served with passion and love. Thank you Siham for the exceptional hospitality!
Amazing services, food was tasty
Love the food and the staff
To-Go staff member mumbled something unintelligible and ignored me (went right back to doing roll ups and only helped delivery people) when I simply asked for confirmation that my order was accepted or not... turns out they stopped taking orders at 6 on Christmas eve but never went off-line on the website and when I ordered at 7, nothing worked. Had to call the call centre to get in touch with the restaurant. No thanks. Edit : So now you (Red Lobster management) are asking me to send a private message on Facebook, for what? I dont have Facebook because I do not support Mark Zuckerberg. I already explained exactly what happened that went wrong and youve told me to do more work to resolve something that you put minimal effort into trying to care about. Im not looking for anything. I just want people to know that youre very disorganized at your location and your staff member is rude. The response where you assume that somebody has Facebook confirms it. I find it very unusual that a restaurant needs to use a third party social media website for private messaging to manage their mistakes.
Awful. We had a reservation at 6pm and the host told us to wait for 5 minutes saying as you have a reservation youre gonna be our priority. We have been waiting for 30 minutes while they were accepting other people in. We asked her why the wait time was so long. Reminder we have a reservation!!!! Apparently, they did not expect so many people that day. Now I have a question, how could you not expect it and confirm so many reservations that people are literally sitting near the host station and waiting for their resos/tabes to get ready? Thats pathetic. Our server was unwelcoming as well. He didnt really approach our table to take orders, no smile, no nothing. We had to physically go after him to make an order because he didnt even look at our table. I work in a restaurant and let me tell you, with this attitude and approach to this work, id get fired immediately. I wanted to leave this place as soon as we got to our table. The food is decent as well. Definitely not coming back.
I recently tried the food at Red Lobster on Bay and Dundas in Toronto, and Ive gotta say, it was a bit on the greasy side. However, the vibe and service totally made up for it. The atmosphere was great super chill and comfortable. The staff were awesome, really friendly and on top of things. Even though the food was a bit greasy, the overall experience was positive thanks to the vibe and service. Maybe they could tweak things in the kitchen to cut down on the grease, but Id still consider going back for the atmosphere and service.
Vegetarian options: Veggie options would have been ideal. Food
Enjoyed our all you can eat shrimp date! They don t try to cheap you out which I really appreciate!
The service was great. I think what red lobster lacks is creativity in preparation of the dishes. I dont think that will change anytime soon.
I visited this Red Lobster location with a group of my friends recently. It was an utterly disappointing experience as it was my first time at Red Lobster and it was nothing short of a nightmare. What was supposed to be a nice outing with friends instead turned into a horrible experience and we weren t even able to enjoy our meal. From the moment we stepped into this establishment, the lack of adequate customer service was obvious and it was clear that customer service was not something that is prioritized. The staff seemed disinterested in their jobs, as though they did not even want to be there, and there was a notable absence of the friendly atmosphere one would expect in a restaurant. The waitress we had the unfortunate experience of getting served by was what made our experience truly unpleasant. She displayed an unbelievable amount of impertinence while doing her job as she was extremely and increasingly rude and condescending towards us throughout our time at this Red Lobster. Her tone and demeanor were unnecessarily hostile and it made my friends and I feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. When eating out, the least of my expectations is to be treated with general respect and basic courtesy but this was clearly absent from her service and interaction with us. She claimed to have such a big problem with us because she accused us of taking our food to go, which is apparently a violation of some arbitrary rule that we were not aware of. Despite denying the accusation, because it was completely baseless, we were incessantly accused and treated as if we were criminals. This baseless accusation was not only hurtful but also confusing, as we had done nothing wrong but no one believed us despite there being no proof. This waitress also shamed us for eating food that had been cooked in wine as one of the members of our group is visibly muslim. This was completely unwarranted and disrespectful and regardless of what anyone s religion is or isn t, the way in which we practice religion is none of her business in the first place. Her attitude towards this only made things worse but the straw that broke the camel s back was the manager, Sameer, attitude when we raised our concerns about our waitress and the service we were receiving. Rather than doing his job and taking control of the situation, he somehow only managed to make matters worse. Instead of addressing our concerns, we were met with Sameer s negative attitude and argumentativeness. It was shocking to me when this manager decided to side with our rude waitress instead of supporting his paying customers and addressing our legitimate concerns regarding our waitress behavior. It was very disheartening to be completely disregarded by this manager and it s clear he does not care for the satisfaction of his customers. When we attempted to defend ourselves to the manager after explaining the situation with our waitress and the unjust accusation she made against us, he decided to take an extremely aggressive stance against us. His tone was extremely rude and we were threatened to be kicked out of the restaurant numerous times despite the fact that my friends and I constantly remained calm throughout this situation and in the face of this unnecessary aggression towards us. The manager escalated the situation further and he made us feel humiliated and hurt. The lack of good customer service, prominent presence of rudeness and condescension, and baseless accusations and discrimination completely ruined my first experience at Red Lobster. This particular location demonstrated a surprising amount of disregard for customer satisfaction and general basic human decency. I strongly advise against subjecting yourself to such a detestable and unenjoyable dining experience.
I had a very bad experience at this location. The food was good but the customer service was very bad and the manager his name Sameer was disrespectful and rude. He yelled at me and my friends and kid and did not treat us with respect. I do not advise anyone to go to this restaurant.
It was my first time going to Red Lobster for an anniversary celebration. The server was absolutely professional. I liked the environment and felt being valued the way I was served. The biscout bread served at each table was very delicious, stuffed mushroom was also my favorite. The only dish that I didnt like was Cheddar Bay Biscuit, also the fish and chips was greasy and heavy. Everything else was great!
I went for dinner with my family and I was very disappointed with our server named Barb, she was really rude. First of all, we order the endless shrimp menu, and when we finish our first round we ask our server for the menu (because we wanted it to know the other shrimp options) and she refused to give us the menu after asking for it twice, until the third time asking she brought it. At the end of the time we just finished our meals and we were just chatting and having a great time until our server brought us our bill (she didn t even ask us if we were ready to pay/we didn t ask the bill either) I ask her to bring separate bills for each member and she refused to do it. Basically she kicked us out of the restaurant when we wanted to hang out more.
They should just rename it Red Biscuit
Delicious Fish and Chips
Had a reservation, I was the first one to arrive and they wouldnt seat me because they wanted whole party to arrive. (Came in a snow storm to an empty restaurant, wouldve been nice to be seated instead of standing around). My sister had called and said they are 3 mins away and if they can seat me, the server who picked up said yes. The rude supervisor intervened and said no we cant seat you without whole party present. I simply asked why the policy was like this and if its the same at every location. she responded very rudely with a lot of attitude and condescension (with a head nod and crossed her arms) it just is I dont know. If she didnt give me attitude for no reason I wouldnt of asked to speak to the manager. I asked her if shes a manager she said no shes a supervisor. We were seated (With menus annd table ready) and manager came to speak with us, he was kind and apologized but he wouldnt listen to what I had to say. Kept talking over me, didnt give me a chance to explain how I felt even when I asked to let me finish my thought. He mentioned the policy and why they dont seat people right away (because of the servers and how many tables they get - the restaurant was empty). I understood the policy but didnt appreciate the rude attitude from their front line supervisor when I travelled to eat at their restaurant. The supervisor and manager looked like they were related, which kind of made sense. Anyway dont go to the downtown location! Scarborough location has better service and food tastes better there too surprisingly. Its just a smaller restaurant!
Excellent restaurant. Helpful staff. Wide choice of menu
Had a reservation for 8pm, was not seated until 8:06 so sometimes you still have to wait a bit for them to clean up tables. I definitely recommend the escargot as starter The main dish I chose was the ultimate feast where you get to choose 2 premium(maritime lobster,7oz sirloin 2classic(jumbo coconut shrimp, garlic shrimp)from the selection. They ended up being really good and it will probably be my go-to meal when I come back. My Wife got the all-you-can eat shrimp(which had 7 variations you can choose from). Service was excellent, the waiter we had was attentive and was always around when in need of requests. Would definitely advise for anyone to eat here and make reservations beforehand.
Loved the biscuits, lobster and the waltz favorite shrimp .
I hadnt been to Red Lobster in 25 years. I remembered it fondly, but as money got tighter I stopped going. Some friends suggested we go tonight and I said no... Too expensive. Then they told me about the specials menu. No matter what day it is they have something reasonably priced. Today it was endless shrimp. Now, usually when somethings endless, you give up a little quality for a great deal of quantity. And thats usually fine. But.... I cant figure out where they skimped. The fresh hot cheddar rolls? Nope. Delicious. The Shrimp? Nope. They were amazing. Honestly the coconut shrimp are appetizer quality. And you get as much as you want?!? The service? Absolutely not. I think our server Mia must moonlight as a psychic because just as we were ready for more, there hed be. Drinks were refilled the instant they were dry (and one of our larger friends had 6 Iced teas). I had not really ever thought Id ever be back, but now Ill definitely go back. Its also one of the few restaurants Ive been in in the last 5 years that had a little space. It didnt feel like we were being crowded by another table, or a loud guest. Just great. Thank you for a wonderful night.
Friendliest waiters. A nice atmosphere.
The shrimp pasta was amazing, incredibly tasty, and a lot of shrimp. The downside is that I waited a long time for the order and the bill to be made.
Great service!!!! Lovely lady who took care of us - Siham (I think) .
- Food was 80% emptier than usual thus overpriced / undervalued based on what was paid - Food taste mid - Washrooms not maintained - The vibe just wasnt it - Drinks nor biscuits not refilled - Server was chill tho
Too dark, drinks were great, they need instructions on how to eat crab
2023.11 When I was young, Red Lobster was a high-end restaurant with a good reputation. I used to be too poor to dare to go in. Now that I am older and have some money in my pocket, I dare to go in. But I can no longer appreciate its deliciousness and value. Maybe it s me. I also ate too many delicious foods. If you come to Toronto and want to eat lobster, it is recommended to eat Jumbo Lobster. It is interesting to eat the large pieces of meat.
Came here for a work lunch during a weekday. Service was efficiently fast and the restaurant was not crowded.
