21 Davisville Ave, Toronto, ON M4S 1G3, Canada
Counter-service spot for everything from shawarma to curries to jerk to jambalaya around the clock.
Located inside Hasty Market, a supermarket at the South-East corner of the intersection of Yonge St. and Davisville Ave., Flaming Stove offers fantastic shawarma wraps to grab on-the-go for busy Torontonians. I've tried their falafel wrap for lunch on my way to work as well as their chicken shawarma wrap for dinner on the way home from work. The falafels were a bit on the drier side for my personal taste (even though it was during lunch hours so they should have been relatively fresh). On the contrast, their chicken shawarma I could wholeheartedly recommend to anyone considering to grab an affordable lunch/dinner to grab on the go. Their wraps are packed within their freshly baked in-house raj bread, of which you could visibly see them making from the scratch in front of your own eyes. This adds much to their credibility and authenticity while it also brings exquisite flavour and texture to their wraps. I recommend asking them to put every topping inside your wraps as well as their in-house spicy mango sauce, a combination of which brings a truly dynamic mixture of fulfilling flavours within your palate. The chicken meat was not dry at all, grilled/roasted just right to be juicy, tender and flavourful. Their falafel wrap and chicken shawarma wrap both came out to $16.94 each after tax and the portion of each wrap is plentiful to keep you full for a good whole day. Highly recommended.
Decided to grab dinner at the Newmarket location based on a friends raving reviews and I am SO happy I did!!! You walk in to the vision of fresh saj being made (huuuuuge) and the beautiful spread or fresh colourful toppings behind the clean counter! They were busy (which was great to see) and were super friendly with their recommendations for my shawarma wrap! I could tell the guy making my wrap was making it with joy knowing I haven’t had it before ❤️. I grabbed a baba ganoush as well because their fridge filled with sauces, dips and premade meals looked just as impressive! The baba ganoush is to die for! Smoky and chunky and absolutely delicious on the shawarma! Exceeded my expectations and worth my 30 min drive to Newmarket! Also made my evening when I later learned this was Palestinian style as I’ve been looking for this for a while! 🇵🇸
I love shawarma, I’ve tried numerous different places all over the GTA. Flaming stove is the best shawarma I’ve had! The prices are fair, the bread is so fresh (they make it in front of you) and the portions are huge. Because the shawarma is so large they wrap it in two, you literally get two meals. My friend tried the plate which was also delicious. The only problem is it’s far from me, but I definitely will make the trip out there again!
Super delicious shawarma! The spicy mango sauce was so unique. Their bread for their wraps are also freshly baked.
I live downtown and I dont drive and I will schlepp it on the TTC to eat this at least twice a month. "Best" is subjective but I believe this would be in enthusiast's top 10. Very well executed shawarma.
If you are looking for an affordable and fulfilling meal, then this is your place. Their shawarma is huge and it will keep full the entire day. Their special mango sauce is 🤌🏻 Whenever I am too tired to cook, I simply get their shawarma which I split in two halves. It’s so damn good everytime. It’s also at a walking distance so that’s another perk. They make their bread right in front of you so fresh food for the win always. It’s located inside Hasty Market.
The first time I tried widely raved about Flaming Stove I went with the chicken shawarma wrap which was good - but after having their falafel today it is THE. MOVE. So delicious with the added grilled veggies. They’ve got a great selection of prepared bowls and salads, and the hasty market they’re in offers a cool assortment of novelty sodas. Friendly service, and the wraps are big enough to share. The hype is real!
What a hidden gem. Located in the back of this Hasty Market lies a wonderful shawarma shop. They make their own flatbread and it's so unique and delicious. Not your standard pita. I really enjoyed the different texture. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap all dressed and they loaded it up! It's a hefty wrap. I got a couple of falafels broken up and added to the wrap and they soaked up some of the sauce to add a really nice flavour and consistency to the filling. Highly recommend.
Our office ordered the falafel wrap in for lunch and its soo great that I had to come and let you know how delicious it is. Delicious stuff gang! Nice work!
Theres no sneeze guard at the food counter anymore, never going there again.
Absolutely fantastic experience at Shelby s Shawarma on Lawrence! The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The shawarma was perfectly seasoned, and the variety of toppings added great flavor. The service was fast and friendly, making the overall experience even better. Definitely my new go-to spot for shawarma! Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality and taste. 5 stars!
Hidden gem in midtown that s been around for a long time. The shawarma wrap is very large and can be eaten in two sessions. 5/5
Nice and fresh as always.
Best shawarma Ive ever eaten in my 17 years of living in Toronto. We come here once a week.
Amazing shawarma in midtown. And their hot sauce is spectacular. Come here wayyyy too often.
Great take-out options! Picked up a bunch of tasty prepared foods from the refrigerated case to enjoy at home (soups, salads, samosas, breads, etc.) as well as the freshly made to order Saj wraps will grilled meats inside. Delicious, filling, and flavourful! Thank you and will definitely be back!
The best Shawarma in town. Great Falafel with rice.
Really good, hearty and healthy shawarmas!
The guy with the Afro had a really bad attitude. Im not sure what his deal was but he looked like he hated his life. All the other staff was nicely packaging up everyone elses orders and he hands me my shawarma box with half the salad sticking out of it. I just grabbed it, thinking that maybe they didnt have a bag for the shawarma boxes. But as I was leaving I noticed a another guy with a bag that clearly would have fit this... Mind you takeout is the only option here.
Best shawarma in Toronto. The homemade hot sauce kills it. Hidden gem.
Hot falafel are available in the morning times, the shawerma is also good, price is a bit high but good portion Vegetarian options: Flafel
Love their shawarma and bread. Also they have sides at very good price.
Ordered the Saj shawarma wrap from here and it was one of the best shawarma wraps I ve had in a while. The chicken was well-flavoured and they diligently followed the instructions while making the wrap. The quantity is huge and you get more than what you pay for. Also, their hot sauce is really hot.
Place is rip off , very expensive shawarma , costed 16 for one wrap .
I am definitely recommending this spot. The food here is topnotch. The server Mr. Promise was exceptional and he gave me every assistance I needed.
Literally hands down the best shawarma in GTA by far. So flavourful! They re found at the back of the Hasty Market - a true hidden gem. They make the saj bread fresh when you order. The way they season their meat(marinated for 3 days)/falafel and the sauces they use are next level and the portions are great! Can t recommend them enough!
A hidden gem for shawarma in midtown!
Great place, stopped in here tonight after seeing on TikTok. In the back section of a older Hasty Mart, looks a little beat down but I promise the food is amazing. Bread is absolutely massive, chicken tastes great, it s actually fully cooked unlike some of these other places, and the toppings are exactly what you need. $13.99 for a chicken wrap, it s wrapped in 2 separate wrappers so you basically get 2 mini wraps. Very neat concept. Will try the Newmarket location next! Parking: A weird parking setup next door, but it works
Great hidden spot if youre looking for a giant tasty fresh shawarma! Nowhere to really sit and eat though so be ready to eat standing outside as this is in the back of a variery store.
This was the egg salad wrap I picked up today. Good until September 19 allegedly!
My friend recommended this place because of their in-house sharwama bread since it s always fresh. I opted for a chicken sharwama bowl with only chicken, falafel, and garlic sauce. It tasted really good and just what I needed! I had some questions about the food but the attendant couldn t answer me. However, if you like sharwama and know exactly what you want, this is a great place to try!
Ive only ever got the chicken shawarma from here. Its really good. The house-made wrap is excellent. Sometimes I find the meal to be overly salty which may be because of one of the sauces. Its one of the best shawarmas in Toronto.
Simply put its one of the best shawarmas in Toronto
Literally got the smallest size of meat and veg on my shawarma equivalent to a 6 inch subway sub. I even asked about it and they wouldnt add more. Waste of money
Amazing food in a location you d least expect it. Always consistent and always hits the spot. Fair price for the portions and I love the saj bread baked fresh!
Hidden gem, one of the best Shawarmas in Toronto
the shawarma is so good and the portion is almost big enough for another meal
Fantastic Shawarma. Portions have gotten a little smaller over the years, but the shawarma is still fantastic. Other than that, the place is great
I would not recommend this spot. I went inside after reading rave reviews to order a chicken shawarma - 1st - the work area looks dirty 2nd- not wearing hair nets and 3rd saw them add chicken from a container which god knows how long it was sitting out for. I refused to purchase it after what I saw and walked out.
I came to Flaming Stove (inside Hasty Mart) to try the chicken shawarma because I heard it was really good. Im sad to say that it did not meet expectations. I asked for chicken shawarma and ended up with one that had a ton of pickles and it was just way too salty. Also, Im a fan of garlic sauce and the garlic sauce was very thin and not particularly flavourful. Such a shame because I want to find a good midtown shawarma option (most are in Scarborough or downtown) I ordered in the back where they made the shawarma and paid at the front, with the convenience store clerk (wasnt expecting that). Overall, it was $15 (which was fairly standard) but I wouldnt come back here again since Ive had much better shawarma in the city.
this place is Noice. keep it up
decent chicken shawarmas. On the pricier side for shawarma, but its also a lot of food. The store also has some specialty pop and other items that you may not find in a typical store.
Incredible shawarma my goodness
True hidden gem. Behind the hasty market, lies a bumping shawarma restaurant that is making super authentic Saj bread on a large hot stone. This isn t your typical shawarma with pita bread. This is thin but chewy, then placed into the press to get crispy. Truly the best vessel to hold all the toppings. Only 2 options for shawarma, chicken or falafel. I went with chicken, and got everything on it, with hot sauce, garlic sauce, and tahini. No hummus option. They slice it into 2 and wrap them individually, because they know how large they are and how likely it will be that you save half for lunch tomorrow. Cost is more expensive than your normal spot, but it s worth it. Will be back and will continue to recommend this spot. Cheers.
It s in the back of the hasty market. Chicken Shawarma bowl was excellent. Better than most.
**Review: Middle Eastern Saaj Delight** This Middle Eastern restaurant stands out with its freshly baked saaj, prepared on-site. The aroma of the warm, thin bread fills the air, perfectly complementing their authentic and flavorful dishes. With a cozy ambiance and friendly service, its an ideal spot to enjoy a true taste of the Middle East. Highly recommended!
Amazing and authentic shawarma along with great quantity and service. A must try in TO.
I live in the neighborhood and Im angry at myself for never having gone before tonight. Wow, blown away by the food. Homemade saj bread, huge portions, delicious chicken shawarma, very fresh salads, nice sauces. Grilled to perfection, and cut and wrapped in two separate portions. $14, easily feeds two. Service was efficient and friendly. Line moves fast. Its at the back of a Hasty Market, which is odd but works! Yum!!
Amazing housemade flatbread.
This place is a hidden gem. The wraps are huge, made from bread thats baked right in front of you. The falafel and the chicken are amazing. Portions are huge!
The Shawarma bowl is delicious. Must try. Highly recommended.
Beat shawarma Ive had in Toronto, yet.
Freshly baked bread with fresh quality ingredients at a great price. The Shawarma is quite large and I like that they cut it into two and pack them separately in case you did not want to finish it all in one sitting.
Totally underrated spot. One of the best shawarmas in Toronto. Super flavourful, and does it so much better than some of the other, overhyped Toronto spots like Alpha s. This is so much better.
neat little hole in the wall style joint at Hasty Mart. Highly recommend their shawarmas. Price per portion is great and I can t wait to go back
Sandwich very small. Tast very bad .quality of food very bad . Very expensive very little quantity
Amazing food and fast service friendly staff. Always busy keep up the good work.
I know they get a lot of hype. I ve had the chicken before, it was ok. Today I tried the falafel and that is 100% the move. Was delicious and massive. Thanks team, we ll done!
The chicken shawarma lives up to its hype, best Ive had in Toronto and tasted authentic. The shawarma was also huge, I would probably split it with someone next time. Got their amba sauce on the side and it was amazing! Got it delivered and it still tasted great, looking forward to trying it fresh in person
Best shawarma I ve had yet in the city. The ready made plates are good too.
Best shawarma in the city. We go here once a week and its consistently excellent. Literally a hidden gem tucked into the back of a Hasty market, only locals know about it!
I drop by this place every time I visit my family doctor. Here are my favorites: The saj bread is fantastic, I buy it and essentially stock up on it. Their Baba Ganoush is the closest I have come across in the entire city to my first experience of homemade Baba Ganoush by a Syrian auntie, the eggplant component is very strong and obvious (and the main reason I like Bana Ganoush). They do also label it as Moutabbal, so perhaps the other stuff is added. But its not the garbage thats mostly hummus in grocery stores that somehow passes for baba ganoush. They make proper falafels (i.e. not all yellow inside, but has green), but you have to buy the prepackaged and heat it yourself for the right crisp. And I always buy a plate of chicken shawarma. Its good, kinda distinct, stronger on the spices. Uses a mix of dark and white meat. There are other places I prefer more for the chicken flavour. But its definitely not disappointing by any means.
This is always my go too when I m not cooking , Flaming stove is one of those hidden gems of Toronto that I just discovered by accident when moving here , the quality and portions they give you are soo worth going , this place has there own taste and it s definitely worth trying , excellent food making staff , very kind and patient and professional, thank you
Delicious shawarma
Delicious shawarmas and great value considering inflation and all However, having a 20% tip as the default for online/pickup orders leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth Online orderers keep that in mind, unless youre feeling generous Edit for the owner: I ordered using the Order online button up top and it went through Ritual. Just to be clear, the 20% tip at checkout wasnt mandatory by all means, it was just set as the default, as opposed to 0% like a lot of other establishments for online pickup using the same portal. The problem I have with this is that some people might glance over the order and unknowingly hand over a 20% tip for a pickup order, which I think is excessive for pickup (this is even a bit much for dining in). You can say that the fault is on the orderer for not reading the fine prints before paying, but this doesnt sit well with me. Maybe it was overlooked when you set it all up who knows, just wouldnt want that to foil an otherwise great shawarma experience
You can t run a shawarma place better than this. It s incredibly fast, incredibly generous, and incredibly fresh. Any bad reviews I ve seen just look like a very rare mistake, or receipt printer malfuction or something extremely forgivable. It s really respectful and tasty. Nothing is overly sauced or sweet it s just the right amount of flavour for a meal.
The sauces are unbelievable. Great portion sizes. Very cravable. Very satisfying. Amazing plate. Parking nearby is an issue. Great shawarma, do not hesitate to try.
Flaming Stove has earned quite the reputation for itself in Toronto. Tucked in the back of a convenience store, their shawarma wraps are better than most of their competition around the city its on the same tier as shawarma Ive eaten in the Middle East. The shawarma itself is perfectly cooked and seasoned nicely. Its served in saj bread, which is a large flatbread akin to roti or dosa. The large wrap is needed for the array on ingredients they pack into the sandwich! Unfortunately there werent roasted/grilled vegetables available when we were there (based on other reviews it seems to sometimes be an option) but the ingredients that were available (tomato, lettuce, etc) complemented the meat nicely. My favourite was the pickled turnip. The sauces were all good as well, although the hot sauce was milder than I was expecting (next time Ill go for a double dose). One of the main negatives is that only one staff member assembles the sandwiches, so you might need to wait in line (especially now that the secret is out about this place). One potential workaround is that they have a second location in Newmarket, which I intend to visit to compare with this restaurant. Overall Flaming Stove is a great shawarma spot and worth going out of your way to Davisville to check out.
Huge and generous portion for Chicken shawarma. Glad that I discovered this hidden gem in midtown. Will try the Chicken kebab next time.
Must try fresh. Delicious. Healthy take Davisville subway or 14 bus. Inside a convenient store.
One of the best schwarma spots in the city and a true hidden gem. The chicken schwarma bowl was flavourful and a great portion!
Best chicken shawarma I ve had in Toronto. Take out dips were delicious too, esp the baba ganoush. Obviously a popular spot as there was a huge line of regulars. Will return
Its a great Shawarma to go spot. The portion size is very generous and the people working there are very kind.
Sharmas are the bomb
Amazing store , very helpful and nice staff , lots of items , and I love that they are open 24/7 . I don t know what could I do without them !
A hidden midtown gem. Generous portions for their shawarma is whats different about this place. Tasty as hell too.
Great value for money. Tried the chicken shawarma with saage bread. Good size portions. You can share the shawarma or are covered for 2 meals. Theres a parking lot right beside it, but finding parking on the week day is a challenge. Weekends are great for parking.
Delicious huge shawarma pita wraps on house made saj bread. I like to pick up the tzatziki and roasted cauliflower to have in my fridge. Takeout only.
Been here 7 times and its great every time. Really nice staff.
Probably my favourite shawarma in the whole city. Great portion sizes, great ratios between ingredients and at a super reasonable price (I believe about 12-13$ for the plate). I always go for the plate but the wrap is just as good! Their sauces are awesome and everything tastes just right every time I ve had it. Highly recommend coming here and grabbing a bite :)
They dont make the sajj bread fresh like they used to so quality has gone down while price has gone up tremendously. Average at best.
Wow. What a hidden gem. Best shawarma I ve ever had.
Delicious shawarma!! And friendly staff too!
The Best shawarma in Town for sure! Great service.
Great for falafels.. non oily and tasty.. freshly prepared hummus and tahinis..
The chicken shawarma was amazing, the best I ve ever had. The saj was a unique part of the wrap, I loved it and will recommend this place to everyone!
Great shawarma - fresh, tasty, and HUGE portions. Loved the homemade saj and sauces.
On par with any of the best shawarma places in the city, large portions and delicious!
Yum!
Best shawarma in twon
The hype is warranted
Not bad shawarma
Top notch!
Huge portions, tasty meat. Great choice of having iceberg lettuce as a topping - gives an awesome crunch and freshness. Recommended dishes
I m not being dramatic when I say this is the best shawarma place I have ever been to. And I m also not being dramatic when I say my boyfriend has tried over 75 places and I only try the ones he raves about. This place is SO fresh, they make their own saj wraps which are so light and tasty, it s nice not being so full of bread when you re done eating. They have an awesome selection of fresh vegetables and unique sauces. I have spoon eating the garlic sauce and amba sauce because they are that good (weird I know). Another awesome thing about this shawarma restaurant is that they actually carve the meat off the spit.. many places cut corners and will just grill it up these days. I will come here forever, it is truly the best shawarma I have ever had.
one of the freshest if not best shawarma places i ve ever tried. i forgot to ask for sauces in my saj wrap but it still tasted super flavourful. the chicken was very well marinated and the saj wrap was a joy to eat. will definitely try again with sauce this time lol
First google review. I have been to almost every shawarma joint in Canada, definitely the GTA and some in the Middle East. This is by far the best shawarma I ve ever had in my life. I will die for this shawarma. This is my death row meal. So unbelievably good.
the quality of the chicken is great, however portions were rather small. the quality of the rice could also be better but overall a decent shawarma plate (I like mine without veggies). We also tried the Falafel, which was not bad. If you re in the area, you should check it out.
Best shawarma and falafel in the city. They are always serving massive portions that can be easily turned into two meals if you want. Great serving for the price point. This is a staple when I want to mix it up from home prepared meals.
Baba ganoush is delicious. Take away, next time goona eat the wrap.
The best shawarma in Toronto - without a doubt. Staff is very friendly, and the portion size is huge. Experience with food can be inconsistent, depending on the staff .
Horrendous. Approx 20 hours in and still paying the price at 4 am. It tasted very off(something in the wrap tasted very bad) when eating and I was affected within the first hour. Not sure if it was the dairy based sauce hidden under the counter or old/unwashed vegetables. Stay away.
Out of all the shawarmas that I ve had (I ve not that much) it is the best. the toppings are great the pink pickle like thing I thought I would not like but it was amazing toppings fall pretty often and some times the rap like thing brakes but it it s still good. These are just my opinion though I m sure you ll have a different experience
Best falafel in the city by far!
Burritos very big. U cannot eat it all :) but I think it needs a sauce inside its to much herbs for me.
Hit and miss but usually a hit with the shawarma
Absolutely the best shawarma I ve ever had. Chicken and all the dressings were fresh. Not sloppy or messy. Wrap is very big. Zucchini balls were so good!!
One of the best shawarma places I had
Scared to give this such a high review because Im selfish and dont want there to be long lines
Best shawarma youll ever have. Its 2x bigger and way tastier for the same price as Osmows! I drive from Mississauga to get one! Please open a location in Mississauga!!!
This is a secret spot and my partners and my favourite quick dinner option in Midtown. The sauces are homemade and the food is delicious. Always reliable for years now.
Best Shawarma I ve ever had. 10/10
Best shawarma in the city! Must try! Food
Very cute quaint store!! Really sweet workers
Felafels here are amazing!
I really enjoy this place, its a must try!
Nice shawarma. Probably the best in Midtown.
A place hidden in a convenient store. The entire place is quite clean comparing to most of the corner stores. The food is decent but not overwhelming. The shawarma chicken is good. The salad is mediocre. This box is $20. I also bought hummus and baba ghanoush. Liked the hummus but don t recommend the ghanoush, too much salt.
Damn good only getting broke from price hikes on the schwarma.
Best shawarma place in Toronto. Nothing comes close to this.
Flaming stove is delicious and they are very nice the food is amazing the portions are huge. The best shawarma Ive ever had and Ive had lots
Can t believe I ve never tried this place living on Davisville for so long. The bread they use for the shawarma reminds me of the rumali roti from India. It s soo good! I m coming back every week Food
Best Shawarma wrap in Toronto. This place is a gem. High quality ingredients, tasty and very good price/portion. Guys at the counter are also super nice which is the cherry on top. saj bread! Highly recommend Food
Inside a convenience store but massive portions for the price.
Hasty Market / Flaming Stove is à truly hidden gem in DAVISVILLE, that definitely worth try, at the back of the store with lots of findings, you can see the FLAMING STOVE, the best local halal dish. There s dine in only in summer they are mostly take out, I Totally suggest the baba ghanoush and the wraps Vegetarian options: The highlights of flaming stove is certainly the vegetarian food Kid-friendliness: They have a special kids menu
Stood at the counter waiting to order for 15 minutes while the two employees fumbled about at a pace so slow that calling it movement seems excessive. For seven of those minutes the main employee was having a moral crisis over the cost of fries, going back and forth from the register to the screen, printing it out and taking it somewhere, back to the cash, back to the screen. No one even acknowledged my existence let alone take my order.
I had the kafta wrap and was pleasantly surprised with the herbs and seasoning and portion size. A beautiful Ballance of heat and spice. The saj bread (made in house) was the perfect bread for this sandwich. Possibly the best Ive ever had. Eat here one time and I am certain that you will be back. Very professional staff.
Get the wrap, it s
Great Shawarma wraps and bowls. They also have pre made bowls you can just pick and go.
Best shawarma in toronto!
Located in an H Mart, authentic saj shawarma but not as good as I expected
Its a fine spot for takeout wraps. The food tasted good but I feel like its missing a bit of seasoning. Great portion size though!
Delicious and freshly made saj bread filled with tasty ingredients. Giant wraps!!
Everything you want to see when you walk into a shawarma joint. Fresh toppings piled high ready for your order, sauces all fresh and made in house. I was a regular at the Davisville location and this location provides identical food. Excellent shawarma at an excellent price. Big fan of the Saj wraps over the normal pitas that most places serve.
Fantastic Chicken shawarma. Portion for the price is perfection.
Best shawarma!
Definitely worth giving this place a try. The food was tasty and the portions are HUGE. Never had a shawarma wrap that big! Hard to find because its tucked in the back of a convenience store but Id call it a hidden gem!
This is, strictly speaking, not a cafe at all. This is a department in the store. But here they make fresh pita breads by hand, which are then filled with shawarma! And shes so big! And such delicious shawarma! In addition to shawarma, you can take French fries. You will be given your order in a package, which you will need to pay at the checkout when leaving the store. You won t be able to eat shawarma inside the store, there s no place there. But outside the store there is a small courtyard with tables, chairs and a trash can. All this is under a canopy from the sun. We sat there and ate. I don t know how people feel in winter. Shawarma is beyond praise, I was delighted with the freshest lavash! Without the sign I would not have found this place; I was looking for a cafe. And this is a store. The store is very cramped, but the stroller gets through. And the selection in the store is huge! You can also buy Turkish sweets and other takeaway dishes there. / This, strictly speaking, is not a cafe at all. This is a department in the store. One of the best shawarma had in Toronto. The bread was really tasty and crunchy Food
Best kept secret when it comes to Toronto Shawarma. The wraps are massive and full of flavour.
Amazing shawarma
Very tasty food. ultimate happiness experience
The sharwma wrap here is soo good. I thought it was a little steep at first but then I had half and was full. There is enough for lunch the next day! So good and generous with the meat. Got some cauliflower bites too, also very good! Thisll be my new regular
Super low key neighborhood secret. They are in the back of a corner store and turn out absolutely wonder Saj bread, shawarma and falafel dishes. I had the chicken shawarma wrap and it was one of the best takeout versions in the city, imo. There s a small patio with a few tables outside the store for outdoor eating. Great option for a quick bite - lots of flavour and freshness.
Must try if youre in the area. Vegetarian options: Falafel bowl and wrap Parking: Right next to it
Great place. Food is good. Good portions. Homemade Bread. Only thing is when ordering it gets loud. Highly recommend the Amba sauce. Food
I have lived near this restaurant for years and its my go-to. Im vegan, and I always get their falafel wrap or their falafel platter. I love that they have clearly listed ingredients on the menu. The staff is vegan friendly and knowledgeable. Its super delicious, and theyre always open! I highly recommend this place! Vegetarian options: They have vegan options! Dietary restrictions: They have vegan options!
The best shawarma in Toronto period. If you are looking for shawarma then this is the place to go. The chicken here is succulent with amazing spices. Their garlic sauce is out of this world. The portion sizes are ginormous and all other ingredients used are tasty. Its truly a hidden gem in Toronto. The best part is their SAJ bread which they make IN HOUSE and you have the option to buy tons of it. Attached is the picture of their wrap which is my goto. ITS LITERALLY THE SIZE OF MY ARM :). I always get one extra full portion of chicken.
Hidden gem of the neighbourhood
If you r going first time please go to back side and food is good
They sever the best middle Eastern food ......Loved it
My ex once complimented the girth of their colossal meat wraps and I became self conscious for the rest of that relationship. To this day I think this place is the main reason I had to move on
Last minute food, this is the place, good food and good portions, great taste.
The food is still great. However service has gone downhill with some of these new hires. Hell itd be five stars but the deadpan short tempered service from employees gotta be improved on Food
Excellent value for your $$$ I got the beef kafta wrap the Pattys are charbroiled $13.50 plus tax the taste was excellent not to mention the wrap is very big they cut and wrap each half individually lol basically 2 meals if your hungry but one big meal if your super hungry...also the make the bread fresh in house ....I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again
It is a hidden gem worth discovering. Their generously-sized Shawarma wrap, featuring freshly baked bread, is perfect for sharing at just $13. The chicken is not dry at all, the toppings are diverse, and their hot sauce adds the perfect kick. Its a must-visit for a delightful Shawarma experience in Toronto.
I enjoyed the delicious and juicy chicken shawarma. however, the seating area wasnt clean.
Amazing resturant, top notch qualitty food with great prices and very welcoming. You can see & feel that all the ingredinces are fresh, specialy thier saj bread is made right in front of you. Very authentic . . .
Best shawarma I have ever had
A very solid respectable shawarma in midtown. Probably the best I have had in the city core. Portion size is excellent value and quality is top notch. I wish I had asked for extra pickles!
Just a heads up its $16 for a shwarma after-tax. Not for a combo and it doesnt come with a drink just the wrap. Unfortunately the price has just got way too high for what you get. Cant say anything bad about the food. Tasted amazing. Service was great as well.
Terrific food! Huge portions
Wonderful food, lots of vegan options and all the ingredients are fresh and delicious!
Quick and efficient service. Counter is at the back. Got the Saj Wrap with falafels. Ask for sauce or it can get dry. Get the guy to put your wrap together. He gives larger portions than the female. Lots of filling. You pay at the Hasty Market, a convenience store / supermarket.
One of the best chicken shawarma in town. Thier saj bread is fresh and amazing.
Hidden gem in the neighborhood. Very tasty shawarma. Menu is however limited. But the food is actually worth it
This is a hidden gem! The falafel and shawarma wraps are amazing!!!
Love this place. Amazing food! Super fresh and authentic. Good choice of salads. One of my favorite is the spicy cauliflower salad. So lucky I discovered that place!
Delicious hidden gem on midtown Toronto. Tucked away in the back of a convenience store right by Davisville station, it will not disappoint with its generous portions and friendly service. I recommend the chicken shawarma wrap.
Tasty and good quantity food for reasonable price considering the inflated prices. Had chicken shawarma bowl with rice few times already and every time it tasted good.
Got a chicken shawarma wrap. The chicken is good, but everything else very mediocre. The wrap is too big and it has so much lettuce that you don t get to taste the good chicken. The sauces or the bread also weren t anything special. The price is fair given that the wrap is big, but I wish there was the option of getting a smaller wrap
Best falafel in town. Shawarma is alright, but falafel.... is incredible. Size if wraps are HUGE Food
Great service and fantastic food all the time. Best Shawarma in Toronto! One can feed 2 unless youre really hungry.
Shwarma sandwich on saj bread is great, the saj is made fresh in front of us.
As rated by blogto and other reviewers its so far the best shawarma in Toronto City undoubtedly. I am proud to belong to this neighborhood. The setup is minimal but what you get in return the shawarma is absolutely amazing. The rice bowl and saj wrap both are mouthwatering and delicious. The mango (amba) sauce which they prepare is exclusive at this place so do try that as a topping.
