222 Bay St. E002A, Toronto, ON M5K 1K7, Canada
Counter for globally inspired soups of the day plus sandwiches & salads, breakfast & bone broths.
The most overpriced cup of soup; it was delicious though, but no way I could justify that price again in the future for soup.
Friendly and efficient service. They serve excellent soup and yummy sandwiches. My favorite order is the shiitake mushroom soup and turkey/pesto sandwich.
"En route to Union Station, I stumbled upon an unexpected culinary delight. This modest establishment, nestled discreetly along the path, boasted a remarkable selection of house-made soups – no fewer than ten! After much deliberation, I narrowed my choices to three, and to my delight, the affable staff graciously indulged my request for a tasting. The lobster bisque ultimately captivated my palate. Striking a masterful balance, it delivered rich, nuanced flavors of the sea without succumbing to the common pitfall of an overly fishy character. This is a testament to the chef's culinary prowess. While the confines necessitated a hallway repast – a table and chair were fortunately provided – the experience itself was nothing short of delightful. Toronto's culinary scene promises much, and I eagerly await the opportunity to further explore its hidden gems upon my return."
Unless you're getting crab, cajun sea gumbo, or lobster soup, don't bother. Whatever soup is left after rush hour is still available for a reason...
So delicious. Wish they were in Mississauga Oakville area. My husband brought me the Jamaican crab bisque, was full of real crab meat. Can't wait to try more.
I ordered the chicken noodle soup and soup broth for a family member who was sick and delivered through ubereats. They said it was the worse soup they ever had, and how the chicken looked raw. They kindly apologized but they my kind gesture turned out horribly for my family member who was sick. Also they delivered 2 soups with no spoon to his workplace!
Great chilli. I get lost every time I’m looking for this place in the PATH but, I’ll get there. All soups come with a huge slice of bread and a fruit like and orange or apple, you just help yourself.
Before I tried it I used to wonder why anyone would line up for soup. It seemed a little cliche, playing out just like the Seinfeld episode for which the restaurant is named. But then I tried it and fully understood. I went back the next day and have since gone back several times. Although the line up might seem long, it does move at a fast pace (after all it doesn’t take long for the team to scoop the soup into a bowl). You can avoid the line entirely by ordering in advance with the Ritual app. Try it once and you’ll be hooked!
Komal
$17 for a medium meeeed bowl of soup?! I thought the cashier did a mistake there :D
super friendly staff and delicious soups
The beef sandwhich is awesome !
This is likely the best location in the financial district, much better than the location near the Sheraton (which has very mixed service, soup that is often not hot and poor carrots/celery).
Accepted my order through Door Dash, none of the items I selected were showing Unavailable. Order was accepted, then approx 10 mins later, Soup Nutsy cancelled my order. Door Dash support provided me with credit back, but Soup Nutsy shouldn t have even been online if they are unable to fulfill order requests. Having read some of the Google reviews now, looks like I dodged a bullet. Seems like they need to get their stuff in order or stop offering service via delivery apps if they can t fulfill.
This place has one of the bests soups I ve ever tried in my life. They were closing shop and offered me and my 2 friends complementary soups to go along with our purchase which we found to be so thoughtful. The staff is super friendly and they give off amazing vibes that resonates with the food they make. 5/5!!!
The food is always sold out by 2-3 pm however great staff ad always upsell to keep food fresh. This stuff is better then ritz hotel. I also wished it was packed in a plastic bag as my soup leaked many times n with paper bags it really breaks the whole bag so bring ur own container n bags or else u might loose ur food to the ground. Wish they keep more of the asparagus n seafood soup often Vegetarian options: Love the cream of broccoli cream of chitake mushroom and Redbeans chillie soup. Asparagus is my favorite
Loved the squash soup ! Super Creamy!
Soup is ok, not the best. Its not worthy at all for the price.
Great variety of options, quick moving and absolutely delicious. 10/10 would recommend.
Customer service
I walked down to Soup Nutsy after searching the area for a good bone broth. This is the description which swayed me. Hot Chicken Bone Broth $3.49 A clear broth slowly simmered for 18-24 hours handcrafted with organic chicken bones, carrots, yellow onions, celery, tomatoes, garlic cloves, fresh ginger, ltalian parsley, thyme, bay leaves, peppercorns, sea salt & cider vinegar. Gluten-free, no antibiotics, no hormones, non GMO & rich in collagen protein. I purchased the larger one 12 ounces for 5 bucks with tax. It tasted awful, not like anything Ive ever had, it was extremely bland but had a weird taste. Im not sure why I couldnt taste a hint of any of the ingredients listed. Soup Nutsy is off my list. Sadly because I love soup.
Ordered one litre chicken bone broth jar thinking it would be served hot but its my fault that I didnt check properly and was served a cold bone broth in 1 litre jar for almost 15 bucks. I asked if it could be served hot but the response was that jar would break which is fair but atleast could have offered other options like - we can cancel the order and refund, or serve you hot soup in glass, etc. I was in a rush and I left and tasted soup later (both cold and hot). It tasted bland and awful. How can this be sold for 15 bucks? It just tasted like watery chicken stock. I dont taste any flavour. Will not return again. Pure disappointment.
Got the crab bisque and its delicious
Good but pricey soup.
Excellent soup takeaway place. I suggest you select some of the more unusual options. In that, if you want chicken noodle or vegetable you can go anywhere for less. Dont get me wrong they are tasty but some of the other selections are better. The Jamaican Clab Bisk is my go too but I also enjoy the Cream of Mushroom. Pre-made sandwiches and salads are available. So-so but youd be better off just getting a larger soup. If you go at lunch time then you will be greeted by quite a long line but to moves pretty quickly (so long as there are not many who wait until they are next to choose which they want) because they have plenty of servers.
I ordered catering for my office lunch and they were awesome! We got chicken noodle soup, and kale quinoa. Came with 2 options for sides each so we got veggie sticks, bread, and fruits. So yummy The service was amazing as well. They helped me get the food right upstairs and set up. 10/10 Thank you for an awesome lunch!
Healthy, fresh, delicious, great selection of soups sandwiches and other comfort foods! Adore this place!
Would you believe $11.85 for a small container of soup, a piece of bread and an an orange? It tastes exactly like the soup you get at Tim Hortons, except for the smaller portion, no butter and you only get one piece of bread.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I ordered the chicken noodle soup from SkipTheDishes , thinking it would be made in store. What I got was CAMPBELL s Canned chicken noodle soup. And for $12!!!! The menu item said classic chunky chicken noodle soup but they failed to mention it was campbells and canned!! You can buy that soup for less than $2 in most grocery stores. Yuck, stay away
They have items on their menu they werent selling during the hours that I attended, even though theyre listed on the website. Last week it wasnt there and they told me it was sold out, even though it wasnt on the rack with the other sold out soups. Parking is $4 where this restaurant is located. Ive wasted like $20 in 2022 just from parking, only to leave each time empty handed. 1-star.
awful experience~! I ordered 2 soups, and waited for an hour; the Uber arrived, and as he was taking it out of his durrty carrying bag, one of the soups busted through the paper bag that Soup Nutsy put the soups in! Called the store, and they asked me to just dispute one soup with uber, complete waste of time and customer service sucked! I WILL NOT ORDER FROM YOUR COMPANY(S) AGAIN! FYI, PAPER BAGS FOR DELIVERING HOT SOUP? WHY?
Get the Cajun Seafood Gumbo!!!
So good! Soups were delicious and hearty, sandwiches were tasty; very filling. Staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable! Would definitely return, and definitely recommend
Great wholesome soups, salads & broths. Lunch time lineups are crazy but they move quick.
Best Soup Ever, Excellent Staff
Great quality soups. Prices are a little high.
The best lobster bisque, and many, many more.
World class soups
Be sure to Ritual them for lunch!!
Lines are pretty quick and they have amazing chowder!
Mouthwatering
Awesome food
Great place, the seafood soup is just unbelievable!
Good tasty food
Sooooooo. Good
Yummy hipster soup?
Curry Lentil was good, but skip the vegetarian chili
For a soup shop, its a must try..lots of options for both vegie and meet lovers..must try mushroom creamy soup.for vegie lovers.
Good soup choices and fast service but a bit pricey
Their soup is great. I had their jamaican lobster bisque.
Great soups and good deal of getting 2 sides with the soup.
Best soup in town
Soups from frozen bases at ridiculous prices.
Great gumbo
Everyday the line-up outside the store speaks to the quality of the soups in this gem. It is a regular haunt where the diversity of section provides so much daily choice to suit all tastes.
Had a Jamaican crab soup. It was probably spiced, flavourful, and piping hot. Bread and an apple or banana comes with the meal. Great healthy alternative to the other franchises! Also about ten soup flavours to choose.
Had the New england clam chowder and focaccia chicken club. The cream in the soup wasnt very smooth and looks reheated but not long enough to smooth the cream. The sandwich seems to be premade and stored ahead. I think for the price it would be better to go to Oily fresco as they make fresh sandwiches for 5.99 although the soup selection isnt as large at least the cream type soup is made well
Bone broth in the morning and many choices of soup for lunch
Made a mistake and ordered a combo. They didnt fill the soup bowl and the sandwich was hard and cold. Over priced at $13 for this.
The best soup Ive ever had each and every time.
Too expensive for the quality and size .. got the Jamaican crab bisque
$9 for a L of bone broth.. Not sure if its worth it or not
Fresh soup everyday. Simply the best soup from a restaurant. I would highly recommend Soup Nutsy
Lots of delicious options if you dont have food restrictions but if youre vegetarian or gluten free, its harder to find a complete satisfying meal. Today I got the mexi corn tortilla soup and its really just tomatoe broth with corn. Not enough fiber or protein to fill you up. Recommend for veggie options that they add more fiber or protein (beans, chickpeas) and for gf options, carbs. I added quinoa which is not all that delicious as a soup base. Otherwise, its a great place and its great that they label everything and accommodate so many different allergies, restrictions and preferences.
Ok...pretty over priced and not really high quality. Wont be returning.
Don t believe their posted business hours. Show up at 5:30 and they re closed.
Awesome soup and bread.
Amazing soups
I love the Jamaican Crab soup, but daum it is expensive.
Delicious, efficient service and affordable.
loved the lobster bisk
Better than the original in NYC
Always delicious. Check out their online menu so you know what soups on for that day. Very busy lines at lunchtime but moves quickly.
Good soup reasonable prices go a little early always a line at lunch
Love the soup. Bit on the pricey side but never knew soups could be this good!
Love their lobster bisque not the prices.
Rotating menu keeps things fresh. Prices are a bit high for soup but this is downtown Toronto, so the prices are in line with the averages in the area. Normally a long line especially around lunch and when the weather is cold.
Never again. With the line up of about 25 people, I would have assumed a better experience. Very pricey. The soup was nothing special, the carrots were near rotten, the Apple was rotten...like black inside. The kale salad was all kale and hardly anything else . Completely overrated.
Literally never bought soup from anywhere that was as good as this place. Also not even a soup person (really though, who cares about soup?!) I DO! ITS SO DELICIOUS. Worth it!
$9 for a small bowl of soup+bread+1 fruit. Seems too expensive. Tastes great though.
I was really expecting more from the soups. Tried 2 different soups and they both were totally bland. Lacking salt and/or pepper and mostly flavor.
Delicious!
Simply the best soups and chilli. I am also a daily breakfast customer of the bone broths
One of my favorite spots for hearty soups of many varieties
Awesome soups
The soups are very good here except certain soups are a little bit more salty but most of their soups are not very salty and tasty as well as delicious . Good if u want a quick bite
Poor customer service. Just like the Seinfeld episode. Soup is ok
I bought and ate 2 medium sized soup there today. A classic chunky chicken noodle soup and an Italian wedding soup. For the two medium I paid about twenty bucks which I found expensive but wanted to try. The taste was ok but not outstanding from other places. At all. The side bread was bit raw (not backed) in the middle (sticky) for me. I would not come here again for soup.
I had the seafood gumbo, it was good but definitely was not a proper gumbo. It also was very overpriced. After tax it was over $10 for a small soup with two sides (a banana and some carrots.)
Really good soup. Simple as that
Pretty fast service
Lots of options in soups daily. The price is on the expensive side for a soup dish.
nice soup place... decent price.
Lots of choices for soups. I really like their Cream of Shiitake and Beef Stroganoff. Really filling but a little pricey.
This place has some of the best soups in Toronto.
its good but expensive
Great selection of different soups!
Pretty good taste but not exactly a healthy choice. Not an economical choice either at around $10 for a bowl of soup and bread. Particular to TD Centre location: NO SEATING! This is not a food court location.
Really bold soups and lot of flavours to choice. I really like it but it is a bit pricy. Go after 3pm and you bogo for 2 dollars.
Soup was delicious. I had the west African chili soup and the flavour was loud with a hint of spice. Would love to come again. Not 5 stars because $8 for a small is a bit steep for soup
Good food and fast service.
Excellent soups. Alright prices. I highly reccomend.
