I have had this place on my list for a long time. I'm happy to say that it did not disappoint. The owner of the restaurant is an Iron chef and that's exactly the quality of food I got. I'll have to come back sometime to try more of the menu.

The new Lee restaurant is just wow! The new location is completely different to the previous Lee - it’s much more modern, has higher ceilings, warm, beautiful lighting and is just a beautiful restaurant with its decor. Perfect for a girls night out or date night with its new ambience. As always, the food is incredibly delicious and the service is so attentive and professional. Well worth the treat to come here! Fave dishes include the famous slaw, braised beef, beef gyoza and dessert platter!

We knew going in that it was going to be an expensive night, but let’s face it—everywhere in Toronto (or the GTA) is pricey. That said, we had high expectations, and Lee Restaurant met them in every way! We opted for the Chef's Tasting Menu, and we’re so glad we did. The chef even accommodated a few substitutions, which was a thoughtful touch. Every course was an absolute delight—each bite left us wanting more. The food was phenomenal, and the service truly elevated the experience. Gray, our server, went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable evening. Without a doubt, we’ll be back for more!

My birthday experience at Lee's was great. We went with the Signature Singapore Slaw with Tuna ceviche, Cheeseburger Spring Rolls & Asian Slow Braised Beef. ALL of It was prepared to perfection. 👌🏾 Drinks were mixed well. The layout is good, Ambiance was cool and was approached by a pair of friendly older ladies who told us what their favorites are.

This is the second visit to Lee and it was just as amazing as the first. The staff were all super friendly and attentive, and the food is AMAZING! Super fair prices for the outstanding quality of the food, and DO NOT SLEEP on the wine pairing for the Singapore Slaw!

Food was great! No real complaints there. Atmosphere is casual but can get uncomfortably loud at times, especially when seated directly beneath the ceiling mounted speakers. Being constantly hit with a bass rumble isn’t something I enjoy whilst dining. The biggest letdown by far…the standard of service. Disappointing. It’s as if training was almost entirely ignored. Our main server wore obnoxiously sharp, putrid perfume - a massive issue when it blocks out any BBQ notes from the duck. Additionally, I’ve never seen a server treat glassware so recklessly - dropping the neck of a bottle on the rims, bumping dishes into glasses. At least service was friendly and enthusiastic.

It was our first time there, the place was beautifully decorated. The staffs were amazing and attentive. Food came out fast, the 24 ingredients salad were phenomenal. I love seeing the chef interacting with customers, you don’t see that very often with well known high end restaurants. The drink were amazing as well. We also loved our waiter, he has a lot of passion for his job. He even surprised us with a little dessert at the end. We travel from Barrie and this is the first time at a restaurant in the city where we felt like it was worth it to drive/ stuck in traffic for aha 10/10 will be back

Overall great experience. Food was actually quite good. The Singapore style slaw is a must if you go. Really great flavours. Shrimp cheung fun was excellent as was the mushroom asparagus tempura. The pad Thai was just ok, not that different than other pad thais I’ve had. The service was really good. They were very aware of what we can and can’t eat due do dietary restrictions and so were quite helpful.

I had a lovely time at Lee. We went on a Wednesday evening and it was quite busy and very lively inside. The staff here were friendly and attentive and the food was bursting with flavours. I heard lots of hype regarding one of their specialty dishes, the Singapore Style Slaw. It did not disappoint at all and was my absolute favourite dish of the evening. They use 24 ingredients to make it and every bite was fresh tasting and full of different textures. Aside from the Singapore Style Slaw, we shared their Asian BBQ Chicken Bao, Luckee Spicy Shrimp Cheung Fun, Alberta Steak Satay, Wild Caramelized Black Cod, Budda Lettuce Cups, Char Siu BBQ Duck with Peking Garnish, Lobster Dragon Dumplings and Roasted Organic Chicken. For drinks we ordered element and Hibiscus Perilla Sour. For desserts we had Sai Mai Lo, French and Chinese Tong Yuen and Warm Normandy Style Apple Tart. The Sai Mai Lo was outstanding and very refreshing way to end the meal. Every dish was well presented and the staff even took the time to explain about each of the dishes we ordered. Overall, Lee is a very excellent Asian fusion restaurant in the downtown core with many interesting menu items but also with a fun twist on it. Parking: You need to keep the parking ticket on you as you will need the code on the ticket to buzz yourself in the building to access the underground parking garage.

I would go back time and time again for Lee s famous slaw. The technique, combination of textures, flavours, and colours make this dish not only visually stunning but incredible! The service could be better, we bought a bottle of red and we ask the server if this bottle has a lot of tannins and she responded with none of our wines are sweet . If you don t know the answer to a question about a $150+ bottle of wine please redirect it to a sommelier or colleague that will know. Atmosphere is great, with their new location connected to Waterworks. Easy to grab an after dinner cocktail at Civil Works. Overall a very solid 4/5

November 22, 2024

Food was okay. Slaw is a great salad and highlight. The lamb was undercooked and under seasoned. The beef cheeks were average. Service was terrible and pretentious. Server forgot our order and it took almost 3 hours to get to the end of dinner. Server also blamed the kitchen being busy on a Monday night as a reason for the slow service. Service was fake and no attempts to meaningfully apologize or provide any hospitality while waiting. The wait between the appetizer and main was 45/50 mins. In short: Beautiful space, bad service, average food and overpriced.

The shareable plates were all amazing and the chocolate peanut butter bar was unreal! Thank you again and cant wait to visit again for another special occasion!

Didn t really go into Lee with many expectations other than the industry standard you would expect from any fine dining establishment and was quickly disappointed. The food was pretty alright all things considered. Nothing too impressive. Presentation was okay and the flavours were not anything to write home about. The bbq chicken bao was pretty on par with bahn mi boys . Our server was pretty salty after she failed to up sell us on their famous slaw which was pretty hilarious honestly. She seemed like she wanted us out asap . Cherry on top was the pee on the toilet seat in the gender neutral bathrooms. All in all wouldn t recommend dining here to anyone for any reason at all!

A famous high-end restaurant in downtown Toronto. Chef Mr. Li is from Singapore and is also a famous TV food show host. The night we went there was also the Toronto Film Festival. Even though it was not a weekend, it was still 80% full and there were so many service staff. We happened to meet Mr. Li in person. We ordered house cocktails and the famous appetizers signature singapore style slaw, Asian BBQ chicken, lluckee shrimp cheung fun, char Sui BBQ duck chocolate peanut butter bar. Although it was expensive, it cost more than CAD 600 for four people plus tip, but we felt it was very good. Its worth it. Every dish is creative and the explanations are clear. The only drawback is that the lighting is a bit dim. Will come again.

Hostess was pleasant and attentive, server was friendly, warm and a pro through and through. Remainder of the staff were always busy clearing the plates, topping off the water, bringing new cutlery etc Food was absolutely fantastic. Innovative, delicious, aesthetically beautiful and all round fantastic. We shared 3 dishes and had a bottle of wine and the pricing was really reasonable. For my 24th birthday, my mom, her friend, & I had an amazing dinner at Chef Susur Lee s restaurant, Lee! The best part? Chef Lee himself came to visit the 3 of us after our meal! I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good food on both a local & a global scale. You should definitely try the Singapore Slaw It sure is delicious & besides; what do you honestly expect? The Singapore Slaw is the dish that made Chef Lee famous!!!!!!!! Chef Lee even gave me his autograph, which made the night even more special. He looks so young, like he s still in his 30s! To think, hes in his 60s. I was so starstruck, I almost wanted to bow down, worship him & ask him to be my cullinary mentor! A big thank you to Chef Lee & staff for making my birthday unforgettable with that incredible Singapore Slaw. The restaurant is super quiet too, which I love. It s way better & far quieter than any noisy Vegas style all you can eat buffet! Thanks to this experience, I can finally check meeting Chef Lee & dining at his restaurant off my big culinary bucket list!!!!!!!

Really nice feel, good food overall, but really struggled with some of the dishes. The Char Siu duck, for $65, it did not have great value and wasnt the tastiest thing. I came here to try the famous coleslaw that everyone loves and see what all the hype is about. Its good but I wouldnt say its amazing. The char siu duck wrap sounds good so we ordered it. The duck wasnt too bad but overall just meh. The same with the rest of the dishes. Their signature beef spring rolls was nothing special. You cant go wrong with black cod but it was overcooked so you dont get that buttery texture, it was more flaky like salmon. Overall, it was over priced and food was just ok. I wouldnt come back.

My second time visiting and the first time at the wonderful new location they secured. Beautiful restaurant with modern decor and nice closed off patio area. Chef Lee was literally in the house tonight which was epic We have the gyoza & cheeseburger spring roll Apps. Though messy af the cheeseburger spring roll might be the most flavored dish we had all night. Packed an absolutely wild amount of flavor the cheddar cheese was so complementary to the beef and the double smoked bacon was so sweet. I recommend getting this dish every time. The Gyoza was also so flavorful, crispy and the tender. We had the curry chicken & braised beef for the mains. The curry chicken is actually the dish that won the Iron chef for Mr. Lee. It was tender, crispy and the sauces it was served with were incredibly diverse but complementary of each other. The braised beef, tasted much like the gyoza, falling apart completely. It was good but honestly probably would place it last amongst everything else. The cheeseburger roll though only an app was so damn good. The portions and prices were okay at best. The restaurant is beautiful, the bar has really nice seating with beautiful art on the stools & we got the chance to briefly say hi to Iron Chef Lee which really made our night extra special.

We have dined at all of Susur Lee s restaurants (Susur, Bent, Luckee, airport, Shan in NYC). We are so happy that we return to recently opened Lee. Now being older, I am not a huge fan of the varying levels of the restaurant. However, the food is so delicious. To be honest, we had the Singapore slaw many years ago at Susur and was not impressed. We had the slaw as our app, dumplings and pad Thai for our main. The slaw and dumpling were phenomenal and wouldve been enough. I love this place and only wish I could afford to eat here regularly. Im usually skeptical of Chinese fusion but this is the only place that executes it well and tastefully, as it should as its one of the OGs Menu is always being tweaked but you should always get the staples: Singapore slaw (base is fine IMO as meat throws off the balance and overpowers the fun taste profiles), and shrimp Cheung fun. Apologies for the photos of half eaten dishes. Other standouts were the black cod and braised beef (not sure if theyre on rotation). Everything else is great. Cocktails are surprisingly good, as are the desserts, especially the Jalisco Sour and Sai mai lo I would caution that the signature tong yuen are too dry for Asians accustomed to sesame balls in soup.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city, if not my favorite. However, the last time that my husband and I went to eat we told the server, like usual, that I had an anaphylactic nut and peanut allergy. Ill preface by saying I go to Lees 6-10 times minimum a year. I have never had an issue with my allergy before. This server, however, brought us over a bowl of peanuts with one of the dishes we ordered. When we reminded her of the allergy, she simply said she thought she would bring them on the side with no apology. I dont believe she informed management because no one came over, which seems odd for Lees given how great the service usually is. Because Im pregnant weve avoided the restaurant since out of fear this could happen again but in our dishes.

The scallops themselves were amazing but the overall dish with grapes and polenta was a little off for my taste buds. We ended the evening with a pot of masala chai and split the ice cream sandwich for dessert. The tea was a wonderful addition, however the ice cream sandwich description didnt match our expectations and was a little too banana forward. The waitress brought over a ganache truffle for my wife as a replacement so she could still have something sweet she likes for her birthday. It was so thoughtful! Overall it was a great dinner experience and Im so glad we took the drive from Buffalo to dine here!

We celebrated our first anniversary at Restaurant Lee. While the ambiance was nice and the staff added a thoughtful Happy Anniversary message on our dessert plate, a few aspects of the experience fell short. One of our drinks was forgotten but arrived after a noticeable wait. Another was incorrect, and though I d hoped it might be comped, that didn t happen. I later read that the owner used to do IOUs with staff for forgotten drinks, which might explain the situation. The food was presented well, but the taste was fairly average, not quite living up to the expectations. Overall, it was an okay experience, with a few hiccups that impacted the celebration.

I have always been a fan of Lee and have visited multiple times. This time it was my first at their new location on Richmond. Visited with my family and a kid who is a picky eater (many parents will relate to this). We were worried that we will have a tough time getting the kiddo to eat or try anything. BUT to our surprise they have chicken strips and noodles for kids and was it a life saver Now to the real stuff. Service, attention to detail, ambiance and presentation everything is AAA. Youll see the pics with my review and as they say a picture is worth a thousand words, in this case it is especially true. In short order anything on the menu and you will not be disappointed. It is a journey of your pallet to unbeknownst places that u never knew existed.

Yaaaaaa ll!! This place is a MUST VISIT!!! Fine dining that truly elevates traditional foods with quality ingredients. Their strength lies in its balanced flavors. I highly recommend their Signature Slaw, Signature Cheung Fun, Jerk Ribs Bao, and Molten Lava. We came from California just to eat at this restaurant and we do NOT regret it! We have to thank Erica and her manager for providing such a phenomenal service!! They made sure our food experience was superb from start to finish. And their team ensured that we always ate at a clean table and with full knowledge of all the ingredients or descriptions of the food we were eating. We were unfortunately seated next to the door so there was a breeze at times but we loved the asian culture homage. Will be coming back here next time we are in Toronto.

2024/08 Update: The new location on Richmond Street is an improvement in terms of spaciousness and atmosphere. The higher ceiling and the new decor lend a contemporary feel to the place. The food this evening was exceptional again. We had the Chefs Banquet once more and it started with fresh uni and followed by the famous Singapore Slaw. The tuna tartar was served on a bed of avocado and topped with caviar. The lobster ravioli was exceptional, as was the chicken. The Omaha beef skewers were tender and delicious. The dessert combination dish in the end hit the spot just right. Another memorable meal! Update: we took a number of clients to Lee just a couple of weeks ago and Chef Lee was there in the flesh! We ordered the Chefs Banquet and it was out of this world, easily one of the top 10 meals of all times! Chef Lee personally selected the menu items, customized them according to our preferences, and came to the table a few times to check on us. He knocked it way out of the park! Lee is a Asian fusion restaurant headed by Chef Susur Lee in the middle of the King West district. The menu, though short, offered a nice variety of sharable dishes. The signature items such as Singapore slaw, beacon cheeseburger spring rolls, curry roasted chicken, lettuce cups were all delightful. Each dish was brought to the table by a knowledgeable waiter with plenty of explanation. Some dishes offered more nuisance than others but all of them were superb. The summer sangria was packed with so many delicious fruits, it came with a spoon. The Panna Cotta was excellent but it was outshined by the dessert special of the evening, lemon chocolate bars.

Everything from the service to the food was amazing. I had a great night and fun time when I was invited to go to Lee Restaurant. The staff was very knowledgeable about the dishes and the make you feel very comfortable and can accommodate your specific needs tailored to the chefs menu, we got the 9 course tasting menu we were seated outside on the terrace. The bathrooms are conveniently located near the bar and if you re confused like I was the waiters will happily escort you to the bathroom. If you are looking for a place with accessible accommodations I would suggest you only book the outside patio as the inside is a bit of a challenge as there are stairs everywhere and the bathrooms are very narrow. The stand out dish to me was their signature slaw which had a bunch of fresh ingredients. I suggest you come with an appetite as these dishes get more intense as the night unfolds the tastes were very unique but made sense with the menu. Nothing tasted overpowering and I suggest keeping the drinks to a minimum as the food speaks for itself. Dietary restrictions: They cater to any needs within reason and recommend the best alternatives for your needs Parking: There is a paid parking lot inside the garage underground residence that connects to the waterworks food hall. If not there are paid parking outside around the area. Wheelchair accessibility: Not very accessible if you re in a wheelchair I d only recommend the outside patio and suggest you don t use their bathroom maybe go to the bathroom at waterworks food hall right beside.

Passing through Toronto from Montreal, this was our second visit to M.Lees restaurant, but the first at its new location with very pleasant decor and atmosphere. The signature Singapore Slaw salad is always as surprising, generous and delicious and for the second course we opted for a pad thai whose presentation was original with its thin egg coating and very refined taste. Chef Lee was present on site to the joy of certain customers whose tables he visited. Impeccable and attentive service with final bill of less than $300.00 for two with wine, which is very reasonable for downtown Toronto. On our next visit to Toronto, we will definitely come back.

Came here for mine 1 year anniversary on a monday night and it was quite busy. Was seated in a very open floor concept restaurant which you don t see in toronto often. First off want to say the service here was impeccable from excellent courtesies to table side help of explaining your meals. We ordered 4 things, singaporean salad which I would highly recommend, sashimi platter special, and the cod along with signature dessert. Everything tasted amazing however the sashimi platter didn t seem to justify the 75$ for around 15 pieces. Elevated dining for sure with interesting asian-french fusion and the atmosphere was impeccable for sure but I would stick to the regular menu.

If you re looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Toronto, look no further than Lee Restaurant. Our recent visit was nothing short of extraordinary an absolute fireworks display for the taste buds! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric, setting the stage for what would be a night to remember. The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the 8-course meal. Each dish was a masterpiece, meticulously crafted to deliver an explosion of flavors with every bite. It s rare to find a restaurant that can consistently surprise and delight with each course, but Lee Restaurant managed to exceed our already high expectations. This visit was particularly special to me as I had long dreamed of dining here. Chef Lee, is my favorite Iron Chef. During my postpartum days, I found comfort in watching his and his sons videos. To finally dine at his restaurant was a bucket list moment for me and the experience was even more magical than I had imagined. The cherry on top? We got to meet Chef Lee himself! What an honor!!! We chose to sit at the bar, and I must say, it s the best seat in the house. Watching the mixologists work their magic added an extra layer of excitement to our evening. I would recommend everyone to sit at the bar for a front-row seat to the action it truly enhances the experience. The service was impeccable, with the mixologists and wait staff going above and beyond to ensure our night was perfect. A special shoutout to Ori, Colby, Odi, Shane, and Nico your warmth and professionalism added so much to our experience. Everything was expertly crafted, complementing the culinary artistry. The vibes were vibing! I can t emphasize enough how phenomenal this dining experience was. I lost track of time and place, completely immersed in the sensory journey that Lee Restaurant offers. This isn t just a meal; it s an experience, one that has left me speechless. If I could give it an A+++, I would. This is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves food, creativity, and unforgettable experiences.

Lee has been on my list for years, finally made it there. Was super excited but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. We placed our order at 9:30pm, and did not receive our final dish until around 10:55pm. Our server was great and super friendly, but unfortunately so over worked that we would need to wait 10 mins to even catch their attention. The famous signature slaw was well worth it, but that s about it. We ordered the pad Thai which was okay (I ve had better), but the lamb was really disappointing. After waiting almost 1.5 hours for it, it was barely cooked, not tender at all. We couldn t even finish one chop and had to return it. My husband is now feeling unwell after eating that lamb, as am I. Quite disappointing for a restaurant that comes with such high ratings! Really wanted to love it but safe to say we won t be returning. Also, before calling we asked about halal options. We were told some things like the spring roll with the cheeseburger was halal but upon arriving this was negated. Disappointing!

I have always loved this place and have been a customer since the old location. We ordered the slaw - the portion is alot smaller compared to the old location! The lobster taco was good with decent amount of lobster per taco. The mushroom tempura was nice but only the top few pieces, the pieces at the bottom of the dish were soggy. Imagine eating soggy batter, yuck. The ribs came with the baos for dipping the sauce, the flavors blended well in this dish. We ordered the black sesame creme brulee and that was horrible as the flavors did not go together. I tasted like black sesame and chocolate sauce. Service- our server was great. However, the servers who came by to pick up the dishes were not. They took away my cocktail and I was not finished! I had my head down eating my food and I looked up and my cocktail was gone!!! Then, I was eating the ribs, my mouth full of food, another server came by and removed the empty plate with the sauce! Um...how do you expect me to eat the baos when you take away the sauce? I had two pieces of baos left!!!! Another scenario: we wanted to order a drink, we waved down 4 servers and even the guy in the suit walked right past us. All four plus that manager went to a table to chat with an old colleague. That table was adjacent to ours. I thought your customers come first?? That is horrible service!!!!! Our dinner came up to about $300. Pls improve your service!

Lee is a must visit for upscale Asian inspired French influenced cuisine. We came here for my birthday and we wanted to sit on the Patio. It was a cooler evening so many diners opted to be insidethe dimlit and bustling dining room. The service was top notch even though we were seated outside. The Slaw with 20+ ingredients is an experience and crispy, savoury and bright. The short rib slow cooked perfection. The lettuce cups were fun but the Tuna tatare with popping caviar wowed me! The black sesame creme Brulee was perfect to share, creamy and super flavourful with a lively passion fruit sauce. So when dessert came out they brought out an additional server with singing skills and I enjoyed a birthday song! I felt special and the staff at Lee made us feel so welcome and really made us feel like we were celebrating! Definitely visit Lee if you are looking for a memorable experience!

Came to Lee for a private dining event and was greeted with an 8-course sharing-style menu priced at $135. Although on paper, this sounds like a reasonably priced experience, this was far from the truth. One of the biggest issues I had with my was the format of the meal. Differing from a traditional tasting menu where youre served an individual portion, this was instead a sharing-style format in which large communal plates were served amongst the guests (generally 1 plate to share amongst 4 people) and you were left to decide portioning. For the most part this wasnt an issue as 4/8 courses were already portioned out at one piece per person. However, when it came to the mains, this became much more difficult, as the option that we opted for consisted of meat/fish that you had to awkwardly portion amongst four people. Given that the portions served was more in line with fine-dining rather than a large heaping portions expected at typical Asian restaurants, this combined with the pricing felt like we were getting a lot less than if we were to opt for either a traditional Asian restaurant, or a traditional French inspired tasting menu. Beyond issues with the overall format of the meal, the food itself also left a bit to be desired. Dishes were often either devoid of any immediately clear Asian influence, or related only in name. To comment on a few dishes: the Cheeseburger spring rolls were a prime example of this. Credit where its due, clear influences from spring rolls and lettuce wraps in Chinese cuisine, but beyond technically being a spring roll/lettuce wrap, the dish itself completely lacked any Asian flavors and just presented as a confusing mess which can only be summarized as but ... why?. Cheese tart and beef dish just felt out of place, completely devoid of any clear Asian influence. Shrimp Cheung Fun was one of better dishes, drawing clear inspiration from traditional Cheung Fun (maintaining key elements and flavors of the dish), while being elevated and feeling new. I can see why Chef Lee is famous for his Singaporean style slaw, although I cant comment on the authenticity of the dish, it definitely is by far one of the best salads Ive had in my life. Only issue here was that Im pretty sure due to the dining format, we were served a serving intended for 2 to share amongst 4 people. Beyond the food, service itself also left a bit to be desired. Whether it was a fault with the kitchen staff or servers, our meal took a little over three hours. This definitely did not have the volume of courses or intricacy that warranted a 3-hour experience. Often times I was left waiting what felt like 15-20 minutes between each dish. Format of the meal also meant that our plates were replaced once throughout the meal (before the main dishes were served). Overall with the exception of one or two dishes, the meal failed to strike any balance between traditional French fine dining while maintaining Asian influences. For the price of meal (especially if I were to order each item a la carte), I expected a lot more. To give credit where its due, atmosphere of the restaurant was great. Surprisingly upbeat/lively with tasteful decor. To summarize, although the food itself was not by any means objectively bad, definitely not worth what theyre charging. Vegetarian options: One member of the party was Vegetarian and restaurant was able to substitute dishes and provide alternate individually-portions for them. Dietary restrictions: One member of the party could not have peanuts or fish and restaurant was able to adequately provide alternative options. Often times substitute that was offered actually looked better than the meal included in the set menu.

I came here a year back and was presented with one of the worst dining experiences I ve ever had. Tldr: I paid $200 to get poisoned. I had heard about the iconic slaw and was ready to try it. I was also aware that it included peanuts. Being allergic, I asked our waitress to exclude them from the order. After waiting nearly an hour and having to reject the upselling of a special drink three times over, the slaw finally arrived. The server began a pretentious speech where he described every individual ingredient used, including peanuts. I told the server that I had asked for peanuts to be removed, he proceeded to tell me he misspoke and confirmed there were no peanuts. As we continued to eat, I noticed a tingling in my throat as my allergies flared up. I excused myself from the table and treated myself before I could eat more. When I returned, I explained the situation to the waitress who swiftly apologized. She then stated that they would subtract the cost of the slaw and bring us another, with peanuts properly removed. We agreed. Another half hour passes before the replacement arrives. Unfortunately, with it came a new message from our waitress. She clarified that they won t charge us for the original slaw but the new one isn t free. Fortunately my allergies aren t lethal. If you or a friend has severe allergies, I strongly recommend having an epipen ready (or just not going). Dietary restrictions: Nut allergies are a death warrant.

First time coming to this very well know brand of restaurants. I have to say it was quite underwhelming in many ways. Food: Extremely overpriced for what the food is. We ordered 6 dishes where the better dishes barely required any cooking; oysters and the slaw. Lobster dumplings tasted like frozen dinners. The Asian spring roll burger was more a ground beef meat loaf crumble; Tim Hortons chili tasted better. The pad Thai was small portioned for a sharing family style portion; Thai express tastes better and much larger portion in the small takeout box. Service: For a restaurant that markets itself and prices itself into the more fine dining realm, I receive better and faster service at McDonald s from the self serve machines. Atmosphere: The restaurant gives off a high end vibe restaurant. Overall, extremely underwhelming and not worth it. Stay far far away.

The singaporean slaw is basically a Lo Hei, if you know what it is. It is a slaw that is commonly eaten during Chinese New Year that people stir up together with chopsticks to wish for good fortune and wealth. The waitress told my party that it is a signature slaw that has kept the restaurant in business for 10+ years. We, as a group who has eaten a lot of Lo Heis, were simply not impressed. The slaw could be one of the best, as the ingredients were fresh. It was just simply overhyped. The waitress also told us that the restaurant is a fusion restaurant. We ordered the pad thai as we wonder how it could be a fusion pad thai. The only fusion could be the lobster. It was too saucy and was just very mid. The taste of the cheung fun was not bad, but the rice noodle was simply a bit too tough from how it should be. I grew up eating cheung fun, and that was not it. The braised beef was the best of all, but its just a slowed braised beef after-all. All braised beef dishes in the restaurants taste more or less the same. So, if you want a braised beef, this could be a good place. Overpriced and overhyped in my opinion. I wouldnt come again. It was a nice experience though.

I haven t been back in a number of years as I ve been into trying new places, but I returned this weekend to check out the new location and WOW. The food hits every time, but what I noticed most this visit is the service was over the top amazing. It seemed like each person working only had one job to do- meaning they literally couldn t mess it up. Our server Gray (maybe Grey) was phenomenal- even understood my humour and just seemed like a great individual. Gray was on it all night- and even took time to review my previous reservations and saw I had a bad experience at Lee MANY years ago - like 5+. Anyways, I was impressed that this info was retained and as an FYI, the bad experience was resolved back then and was totally a one off. So food, we ordered slaw (duh!), cheeseburger spring rolls, cod, braised beef, tong yuen and choco peanut butter bar. Over the top delish. Would ve ordered the tofu but summerlicious had some key menu items on pause until it s over. Will be back, as usual :)

Ive been wanting to try this place decided to go for Summerlicious. We got the Spicy Adobo Chicken Satay - the chicken was really good, the sauce was a tad too sweet for me, the sesame bowls that came with the salad was amazing too. For the main i got the Jerk Pork Ribs - the ribs were a delight, falls off the bone super tender, the bao is a nice touch. For Desert i got the Sai Mai Lo - i may have remembered the name wrong, but its basically coconut ice cream with sago, pomelo and raspberry sorbet topped with a butterly pastry. I can see some people saying this would be refreshing, but for me the pomelo was a bit too bitter and the raspberry sorbet too sour. I think it wouldve been nicer with less pomelo, more sago and no raspberry sorbet and just focus on the coconut ice cream. Just my opinion! Overall the place was beautiful and the food was good. Since their servings are big, it might be good to go with friends to try a lot of the menu.

The food plating is beautiful and most dishes were delicious. The only dish we ordered that I might skip are the maki rolls. The ingredients were all fresh and nothing fried. Yes it s more expensive and the dishes are not mom and pop diners or restaurants every day dining heaping portions, but the care in preparation and presentation is wonderful. If you are looking for a classy but non pretentious place to celebrate a special occasion, or to impress a special date ( ) this is a good option. We also got the Singapore Slaw which is the signature dish. Two people could easily share this as a lunch plate.

Hit or miss. Was denied seating on the patio despite the patio being empty.

This was our 2 nd visit at the restaurant. The food did not fail to please our pallet. The famous signature slaw was like always the most delightful feature. Although I noticed that the price for a salad was a bit too steep at 39.00 dollars! The rest of the dishes we ordered were good too. The two disappointing features were that we felt very rushed as though we were being asked to gobble the food and vacate the table for other guests. There were a few servers who were hovering around to ensure that the plates were taken away as soon as the food was eaten. We were celebrating a special occasion. Although we didn t order any dessert, the restaurant of this calibre could have taken a note of our sharing of this celebratory event and marked it with a few chocolates or something small sweet delight. I guess they were too busy optimizing their business rewards that evening!

Overall, the service and food are good. The only minus thing is when I finished the dinner, I went to washroom before paying the bill. When I came back to the table just after few minutes (I believe less than 5 minutes), all gone! They took away everything, cleaned the table and even blowed off the little candle light??! I didnt even pay the bill! Should I say their service is so efficiency??

Again, it did not surprise us, the service and everything we ate were legendary. There is no need to explain the salad anyway..
