Everything is a must try on the menu and it makes me wanting to go back every day! The Cappellacci are my new favourite! During my dinner we also had 2 desserts, the Pizza that has been remade as a dessert is something amazing, and the caprese cake too, was the best I ever had, too bad i don’t have picture of them cause we ate them right away!
Food was so bad and tasted like water! Not an Italian restaurant. Waitress were nice and respectful.
The service was great and the food was good. The pizza was tasty, the crust was thin and it had a good chew to it. Might return for the pizza and the rigatoni!
I overall love the restaurant The vibe is great and romantic. I wish they had more beef/chicken including pizza options. Drink options are limited.
We had the Pizza Margherita and Mushroom Risotto. The taste was decent, and the service was good as well. However, the place felt cramped.
We went for dinner and reservations are a must. I almost missed the place as I was walking by since it is fairly small. The restaurant is located on Mt. Pleasant street so parking is scarce but easily accessible by transit. It’s very cozy inside, the atmosphere is intimate and perfect for smaller parties. We ordered two apps which was the squid and the eggplant and both were very flavourful. The eggplant was a nice surprise with the cheese, the squid had a tasty smoked flavour. For mains we had the monkfish, braised beef, and pizza. Monkfish was a bit small but packed with flavour, the beef was tender and the sauce added to the flavour, I would’ve liked a bit more sauce though. Pizza was very authentic and standard. Service was great, they were very attentive. Wine pricing was a bit much but family owned and all so understandable. Overall great experience.
I visited Positano Restaurant with my friends on a Saturday evening. The food was alright. I wish I liked it more but I found some dishes to be lacking flavour. I really liked the Polpo Scottato and the Costine di Manzo. I opted for the monkfish as my main, instead of the branzino which was a bad choice as it seems most people in the reviews say the branzino is amazing. On our next visit, maybe I’ll try the branzino instead. Small but decent wine list. It’s wine, so no complaints there. Service was good but not amazing. Wait staff were a lot more attentive when the restaurant was less busy but I understand when they got busier throughout the night. Overall, pretty good. No complaints. It just came down to my own taste and preferences.
Loved my recent visit to Positano. Loved the ambience. It’s a cozy place to have a great meal. Since, it was raining we couldn’t sit outside but it wasn’t an issue for us. The service was quick. We loved the food and drinks. They told that they bake their bread in their kitchen. It was fresh and soft and we loved the butter too. Thank you Positano for a nice evening.
I was disappointed here at my first visit with friends on December 14/24. There are no specials A glass of wine is NOT a full glass Non fizzy bottled water not served cold & no ice cubes provided Appetizer: $20 salad had a tomato sauce base, three mini tomatoes halved, fresh basil with a cheese ball. Beautiful presentation but lacked flavor and was too expensive. Rib eye steak @ $49 sat all alone on the plate. Wonderful but needed sides. Waiter should make a habit of asking guests if theyd like to order sides as I had forgotten. Price much too high served on its own. I ordered a side of veggies and got 3 sliced zucchini, 3 sliced red bell peppers, and 3 sliced pieces of eggplant. I dislike this cheap choice. Give me beans, carrots, and broccoli, please. A 2nd order of bread ordered. 1 slice bread per person is skimpy. My girlfriends entree was fish. A lonely looking sunfish - well, that was the size of it looked dressed up on the plate. It was so small we stared in disbelief. She said it was good. The pasta dish was good, but the size was fit for a young person. My spouse was still hungry. A seafood entree also looked good, but our friend was still starving. Dessert tiramiso was sweet, flavourful, and cake dipped in rum was also enjoyed. Coffees served. All good. Small inside and too warm. Bathroom down a long flight of narrow stairs. My elderly Mom would not be able to get down that far. Hospitable staff and owner but needs improvement. One 3 person table left when we arrived. With appetizers ordered first, our wait was 1 hour. Altogether 5 tables full. More wait staff is needed. Given its small inside our guests happen to talk a lot and are loud. We felt like the some patrons were annoyed with us. Dinner for 2 with shared salad, entrees, 2 desserts, and coffees $159.00. No alcohol. Not taxed. Ive been there and done that. Wont be back.
I was deceived by the online reviews. Very mediocre food for the prices. Pizza was bland, branzino was not filling and came only with a weird cheese sauce. Service seemed off and rushed. There are better places in this neighborhood. We wont be back.
Food was delicious and fresh. I loved the interior design and atmosphere, very cozy and intimate. Would go back againa for sure.
Positano is good unpretentious Italian food. It s well made while not trying to be more than it is. We had a seafood and pizza both of which had fresh, good quality ingredients prepared well. The highlight of the meal was the mille feulle for dessert.
In Toronto for a week and can t forget the dinner at Positano Restaurant I had the best seafood ravioli paired with a great red Italian wine suggested from Alessio the manager! He makes sure everything is perfect from the beginning to the desserts! Be back for sure for the authentic Italian food ! Mangia
I recently visited this gem of a restaurant with friends, and we had an amazing experience. We tried the Ragu, Ribeye, Parmigiana, and their house-made Frutti di Mare all absolutely delicious. We ended the meal with the Baba Misu and Caprese Cake, which were the perfect finishing touches. This has become my go-to spot for small business dining; the service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They also have a wonderful wine selection that pairs beautifully with the dishes. I highly recommend this place to everyone, and the owner is incredibly friendly and attentive. Can t wait to return!
Beautiful restaurant with a sophisticated and romantic atmosphere. The staff is so welcoming and helpful when it comes to their knowledge of the menu and cuisine being served. The food is absolutely delish made with care, I look forward to dining here again.
Had an amazing time at positano restaurant! The atmosphere was very intimate and welcoming. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were great, will definitely be back again! For the drinks, i would definitely recommend the expresso martini!
Excellent Italian food! Alessio is the best, helped me understand the menu and provided top notch service
gorgeous atmosphere, great service, best food
Outstanding cuisine, an elegant atmasphere, and exceptional service
Nice northern Italian restaurant and nice menu. Also pleasant ambiance. Service was a bit spotty and slow - our waitress was nice, but she disappeared after we got menus - and we didn t get our wine until after our appetizers arrived. Portions good but a bit underwhelming - had the seafood special, which was tasty but light on the seafood. My wife had pizza which was really tasty. Net -net 3 stars
A friend introduced me to this place and I am hooked. The Branzino is to die for. A cozy spot with delicious dishes and great service. No frills.
A gem of a restaurant.
This is NOT AN AUTHENTIC Italian restaurant. When the Caprese was served, it was ice cold and coated with oregano. They say it is DOP Bufala mozzarella but rest assured you are getting rubbery local mozzarella. The Branzino was very small and overcooked. The Eggplant was woefully undersalted and although there was a bit of cheese on top, it lacked any flavour but it was hot out of the oven. The Risotto was not prepared authentically. It was a mush dish of rice and cheese. The mushrooms were ok!. The flavours dont seem right and it seemed like there were some middle eastern type spices used. There is no way that the owners of this restaurant are Italian. The pizza was edible but everything else was terrible. Skipped the coffee and desert and I surely wont be back. I would have paid $50 and ate nothing if I knew how bad it would be instead of paying $175 ( for 2 ) with wine and beer. Not one dish was finished and the waitress asked if we wanted to take it to go! These people are not Italian. Fraudulent establishment.
Very delicious food, excellent service
When I came for the first time, i had the Beef Short Ribs and it was amazing. I ve visited numerous times later, ordering something different each time and I always leave happy and satisfied. As for the atmosphere, it is very nice, especially for dates and/or group events. The service is some of the best I ve seen!
Fantastic evening. Food was delicious. I had perfectly prepared branzino and ricotta cheesecake which was very tasty. Homemade breadsticks and bread were great as well. Service was so lovely and personable. It was a first time visit for our party and we d definitely return. Owner was so friendly and lovely as well.
The restaurant is very cramped and lacks any music, making it quite noisy from the chatter of patrons. We ordered gnocchi, which turned out to be excessively salty and greasy. The risotto, on the other hand, was bland and lacked seasoning. The fish was nearly inedible tough and rubbery, we couldn t finish it. If you re very hungry, you might be able to tolerate the food, but if you re just looking to enjoy a glass of wine, this place is more suited for drinks rather than dining.
Took my parents here today for Father s Day. They have a beautiful brunch menu and fantastic service every single time I come here. Today was probably my 5th time at this restaurant and Positano consistently surpasses my expectations. Going back for dinner tonight with the rest of my family. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread available
We had my birthday dinner here. Service was above and beyond. My husband had the short ribs which were perfect and I had the sea bass. I m not a big fish eater but this was so good and perfectly cooked. Cheesecake was light and delicious for dessert. And a wonderful chocolate cake as well to celebrate. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We will definitely be back. Definitely recommend. Thanks for a wonderful dinner.
Very friendly environment, excellent service with delicious food.
Unfortunately, we discovered Positano has changed ownership. Food arrived lukewarm, but was flavourful. Service was lacking. Waiter never seemed to be around, although there were only 3 tables filled. Waiter didn t fill wine or water glasses. Waiter failed to offer pepper or parmigiana with pasta. Very disappointed.
Great food. Place is small so definitely make reservations. Will visit again. Thanks for a great evening.
Such delicious food and nostalgic atmosphere! Recommended
What an amazing place! Right on Mt. Pleasant W, nothing in this restaurant fell short of accolades. Have referred my friends and will continue coming back!
Positano for Sunday brunch? AMAZING. Each of our table of four, took a different dish and found the quality to be outstanding. Excellent service as well. Definitely will have brunch there again soon, not just supper.
Vegetarian options: The Rissoto was excellent. Food
Shared a lovely light dinner with friends at Positano and we were very happy with the experience. Very fresh and tasty food, friendly and prompt service, great atmosphere.
Gnocchi was extremely soft. Couldn t tell the difference between that and the cheese sauce. Spaghetti with shrimp was bland. Pizza made up for it slightly. All in all, good service, but would not go again because of the food
Pretty good food, but the bill was a little too salty
The best restaurant I ve tried in the Yonge-Eglington area. Service is unbelievable, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is delicious authentic Italian. Truly a hidden gem.
Every single bite even after I was full, was amazing. I am glad that I found this restaurant. Will return and try other menus soon.
The food s good, service is solid and the ambiance is the selling factor.
Great service.. authentic Italian cuisine Parking: Across the street. Food : 5/5 |
wow! i love this place! an accidental discovery walking by - pefect place for a self love sunday the hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming, and answered all my questions my turkish coffee and tea were for real, the best ive ever had - their brunch and dinner menu looks INCREDIBLE - i am really lookong forward to coming here to try evwrything its very clear they rake immense pride and care in rheir ingredients and service the atmosphere is also very relaxing with very nicebackround music - definitely feels like an authentic mini escape from the hustle and bustle of the city - will be my self love sunday splurge every week! 1000% reccomend!
Came here for early dinner with a few friends who has tried and liked the food. The place wasnt too busy and the staff was nice. We ordered the squid for appetizer and three pasta dishes: the ragu which was their special of the day, the ravioli with walnuts, and the butternut squash pasta. 1) Squid The squid had a nice grilled flavour and paired well with their house vinaigrette. 5/5 2) Pasta I really liked the ravioli dish out of all the three. The pasta was cooked well and we finished our own dishes. The only thing I would say is that I didnt taste the butternut squash as much on the dish. 4/5
Last night I came to Positano with my girlfriend. Our waiter was Ata. He was the best! Helped us pick the perfect wine. Overall excellent experience. Grazie!!
The food was good. At first I did like the pasta I have ordered, so the owner replaced my pasta with an amazing tasty pasta with no charges. The workers are very nice and overall it was a very cozy and nice atmosphere
Great food, great people we will go certainly go back.
I went to this restaurant over the weekend and I was incredibly impressed. We had the grilled squid and burrata pizza both of which were very large and very reasonably priced. The squid was very tender and the pizza was one of the best I have ever had. Will surely be returning. Great staff and comforting service.
Top Shelf food done Right. Relaxing atmosphere and gentle professional service
Good food but portions are too small and overall too expensive for what it s worth.
Amazing food and amazing service. They make you really feel at home. Their cheesecake was divine. 100% will be returning!
Great restaurant. Very friendly with a great vibe. The food is delicious and diverse. I bet it was the best pizza Ive had in Toronto. The tiramisu was pure Italian. The staff is super friendly and professional. I will definitely come back and recommend
A bit overpriced for the portion size. I don t recommend Risotto Allo Zafferano e Funghi, it was not very good and was a bit too salty. But the Genovese Napoletana and Tiramisu were delicious.
Extraordinary service and food. Generous wine list with many options We will return.
The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Italian dishes, each one made with the freshest ingredients and expertly prepared. We started off with mussels and clams in a white wine sauce and grilled calamari. Both cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. Main courses included Pizza, Pasta alla Gricia, Lemon Bisque Shrimp spaghetti and Branzino. I d love to say something negative here, but it s impossible. These dishes were just outstanding. The branzino on another level of freshness and perfect preparation. To finish off the meal, we had the tiramisu. It was light and fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness and a hint of coffee. I would highly recommend Positano Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Italian dining experience in Toronto. The food, atmosphere, and service were all exceptional and I cant wait to go back!
Just an amazing!
Delicious Italian pizza
This restaurant fronts as Italian cuisine...it is not. Its really, really not. The people are perfectly nice...the interior is very quaint, but the food is atrocious, it is a farce. Overcooked, sweetened where there was no need for sugar and very stingy on the protein. They offered an interesting Italian beer that was good, new discovery for me, something positive that came of it, I suppose. My meat sauce had all onion, no traces of actual meat and my fiancés main had a total of 4 pieces of overcooked shrimp on it. Im sorry, but I wish Id had a hotdog from Seven Eleven instead. This is an F U to Italian culture.
Pizzas are probably the main reason I would come here. Pasta is good for pasta lovers.
Nothing to add: excellent and professional service, friendly staff. Food delicately prepared. The waiters were able to guide me through the wine list, despite my ignorance of Italian wines.
Great food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Will be back for the delicious pizza!
Great patio
Service was slow and food was not the greatest.
I like to try restaurants in my area. I went to this restaurant for breakfast, didnt expect much, and ordered myself a mozeralla and sujuk pide, and it turned out to be one of the best foods Ive ever eaten. It was really good; I ordered one more to bring home. The service was very polite and high-energy, and the patio was very clean. I will definitely come back and try their other food. Also, tea was delicious.
Amazing food and atmosphere with excellent staff - Branzino, Pizza and short ribs are my favourites. Cheesecake and tiramisu are wonderful. They started serving breakfast / brunch on weekends with a wide selection. We had the best menemen and pide, best quality, definetely will be a regular for weekends - highly reccomend
Oh boyyyy, it is not just dinner. They have amazing brunch menu as well. Lots of different Mediterranean options. Love it....
We had brunch at the Positano Restaurant last weekend. The atmosphere was very inviting. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My favorite was the granola yogurt parfait. Housemade granola and mixed berry compote with balkan yogurt and fresh fruits. Yummy! Make sure to try:)
Service is friendly. Good food. Virtually no dairy-free options on the menu. But charging $18 for a small plate of spaghetti with butter for a 4-year old kid is a rip off. The plate was so small that we asked to add a bit more. They cooked a second plate and charged an additional $18. So $36 plus tax plus tip for spaghetti with butter. And there is no kids menu. Are they trying to discourage people with children from coming there?
Had dinner on their Cafe TO patio last week and was really pleased with the experience. Food was delicious, portions were fair, prices were fair for what you get. Service was impeccable, both the staff and the owner are kind, helpful and very friendly. Such a great spot and I look forward to dining here again in the future. There were 3 of us, we each got a main and split two appetizers. It was the perfect amount of food. The Medaglioni, Risotto and the daily special (seafood pasta) were all absolutely wonderful.
Great Pasta!
This was our second time here and we were not disappointed. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, the staff are wonderful. They go above and beyond to make celebrations truly special (anniversary and birthday). We have tried many Italian restaurants in Toronto and this is now my favourite. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
everything was so good! I will come back. I tried grill fish and it was amazing!!
Finaly a real italian Restaurant in toronto. Great food and very kind service
My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner at Positano and the team was great to work with. They were responsive and accommodating during the planning process, prepared a delicious set menu to ensure the evening went smoothly, and service during the dinner was quick and efficient and everything tasted great! Looking forward to coming back for a normal dinner soon!
Grab a glass of wine and delight yourself with their amazing menu.
Very good Italian fare. Great and innovative pastas. Super wine list.
Hmm... Someone changed all the menu so my favorites such as Positano pizza and Branzino are no longer available. All of the old pastas Syrenuse and spaghetti gamberi are no longer available. At least the grilled calamari and veal chop is still there.
Service was exceptional. Food was phenomenal. They exceeded our expectations - even gave us complimentary champagne for our anniversary. Melis was a sweetheart and the rest of the staff was super kind as well. Great experience :) Thank you guys!
One of the best best Italian restaurants I have been to in Toronto. It s obvious they have a an Italian chef in the kitchen, cooking authentic recipes. As for desserts, their tiramisu is nice, but not the best
Amazing selection of meal choices on the menu along with a large wine selection. The service was incredible throughout the evening and all staff members are friendly and step in as necessary to keep the service level high. Highly recommend!
Been to Positano twice now with my fiancé and the atmosphere, food, and service were exceptional on both occasions. Even gave us a complimentary drink for our anniversary! They acknowledged us and made sure that we were taken care of. Definitely recommend Positano to anyone that s roaming around the neighborhood.
I just decided to go here because it was nearby where we were looking at I had no idea what I was getting into. The pizza was one of the best I have had in Toronto and made in an authentic Italian manner. They have some amazing wine to pair with it. The service was excellent and really fast. We were fighting with time when we went here and but we had our dinner and drinks and then got some time left. I highly recommend this place!!
A really lovely restaurant with exceptionally tasty food. Service was smooth and prompt. Dietary restrictions: There were a variety of gluten free options available (for celiac) including GF bread, GF pasta, and naturally GF dishes like the risotto.
Ask not to sit so close to the door, I found the service was a bit slow since it is so far from the staff. But otherwise it was a good time.
Beautiful Italian resto
Finally had the opportunity to dine here, always wanted to try it out. We were very impressed with the quality and the service. Everything was beautifully prepared and presented, service was attentive and cordial, cocktails were delicious too. We sat by the window and had a wonderful dining experience overall. One caveat; the seats are rather uncomfortable after a short while, but it wont hinder us from coming back.
It was an amazing experience! Great food, great atmosphere and great staff!! Highly recommended!!
It was an amazing experience. I really recommended it for special occasions. Staff were wonderfull. You need to try it!!
It was by far the most delicious food i ve had in the city for last couple years! Awesome service quality and cozy atmosphere.
I had a wonderful experience at Positano restaurant! The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience in Toronto. Ill definitely be coming back!
Came here tonight for a quick dinner. It is a solid place with tasty italian food. There could be room for improvement but overall we enjoyed our meal! Price is solid, food is fresh, good services and restaurant is cozy and warm. We are from Vancouver but if we ever lived in Toronto, we for sure would become regulars and have more chance to try other dishes!
The pizza was really excellent, the lemon tiramisu a delight!!!!
Amazing food, service and atmosphere!!!! Will be returning here 100%.
Amazing service, great food..charming and cozy place.
Visited for dinner. Staff were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The menu is quite compact which is great. They do their food very well. It is a tight space and the room between tables is minimal. I recommend making reservations well ahead to get a spot. Was very busy when I visited. Overall would return for a dinner again.
Excellent food and service. The restaurant was quiet and conversation was made easier because of this. However the restaurant was only 1/3 full.
Amazing food and great service. Looking forward to going back
The food was delicious, the ambience was very agreeable, the service was more than excellent, and the price was super affordable. We pay $ 100 for a family of 4. My husband said best pasta Ever.
Food is great, staff is friendly, and the owner is such a nice man! They put so much love and care into the food and you can taste it. Even my picky dad loves this place. Great wine selection as well. Ive been twice already and tell everyone I know about this place!
Nice meal and great service.
Customer service and food BOTH excellent! The gnocchi was good and the lemon tiramisu (pictured, recommended by server) was EXCELLENT. I enjoy the normal coffee tiramisu but tried this at Positanos recommendation and I would totally go back for that! Wonderful ambience as well, quiet and intimate but also open and friendly. MUCH better value than Piano Piano nearby. I would go back to Positano for sure!
Went there tonight with my colleagues and everything was great, thank you Don for your hospitality
Great foods and always wonderful service . Their patios is bonus
Takes me back to being in Italy! Good portion sizes and tasty food!
Good food of better than average quality; very good service. But (too) small portions. So, overall value for money, not so great.
Had the pleasure of having dinner here on Fathers day with the rest of my family. We had order quite of bit off food from the appetizers , to pizzas , to the main entrys. Everything was cooked sufficiently and it all tasted great. Staff is very friendly, the patio is huge and all n all a great restaurant for a nice evening out!
I visited this place last year and had a very nice experience and staff were friendly and welcoming. Wanted to try it again this year but even though I had called in and put a message to reserve a table, and there were many empty tables, they told me they couldn t host me Completely unacceptable. But hey, ended up walking to Yonge & Eg and discovered a good Italian restaurant. Guess I m never coming back.
I was there recently to have dinner with my family, we sat on the patio in front of the restaurant and it was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and attentive, having dined the past times we noticed that they modernized the menu. On the advice of the waiters we were suggested new dishes and I must say that there was no better suggestion. The quality of the products and the way they are cooked is impeccable, I must say that their new philosophy is really right for the area in which they are located, especially knowing that the menu changes over the seasons. Absolutely recommendable!
Such a pleasant dining experience every time we go and the staffs are very friendly especially with kids. Love their food!
Amazing food, great service, we sat outside, it was a beautiful evening! Highly recommend it.
Great food and service
Used to be one of our favourite restaurants in the neighborhood. Havent dined here since before the pandemic. Food was bland, tepid instead of hot and much smaller portions. The prosciutto in the app was chewy and hard to eat. The servers seemed nervous and lacked confidence. Very expensive for the quality and portion size. Maybe under new management or ownership?
Our experience at Positano was fantastic! The food was truly delicious and so fresh. The menu is full of authentic pizza and pasta options that take you back to that last visit to Italy. The appetizers were excellent. Fresh burrata, Buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto, bruschetta and a Caprese salad. The pastas were made fresh and the linguine was definitely the highlight for me. Refreshing and delicious cocktails. The Bellucci was my favourite! Nice wine options and a great list of after dinner aperitifs. The patio topped off the experience as we enjoyed the warm summer air as we watched the city of Toronto go by. We were attentively waited on by staff who clearly care. I really look forward to returning to Positano!
Great food.
Great food and ambiance. A gem.
Great place that serves quality Italian food. Try the outdoor patio and people watch. I was a little disappointed with the Tiramisu dessert. Incomes in a little glass jar. Im guessing they freeze them and then serve. Not fresh at all.
We ordered a couple pastas assuming it would be good because of the reviews, but boy we were wrong! The pasta was bland and far from authentic, the garlic bread was tough, and the meatballs were dry. Highly do not recommend.
A wonderful dining experience (I ve both dined-in and ordered takeout at this restaurant) with superb food! I ve tried gnocchi all over the city and Positano s is the best. Also love their caprese and grilled calamari. Highly recommend for fine and authentic dining and pleasant staff.
Staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. Food is prepared fairly quickly, very hot and delicious! Sat on the patio which is very nice and spacious, surprisingly not as loud and I expected considering it s on the busy street. They do accommodate for allergies if you tell them which is great, look forward to coming back soon
Amazing authentic Italian food! Highly recommended!
We have been coming to Positano for years. Last week was our first visit since Covid hit and we are happy to say that we still love it. Food is really good and service exquisite. The patio is actually nice despite being so close to traffic. Overall very nice experience.
Soooo good! Reliable and consistent quality every time. Weve started ordering a bit more randomly off the menu and have yet to regret any of our choices. Best bruschetta Ive had in years, and the spaghetti with shrimp, though mildly spicy is prepared to perfection. Highly recommended. 5/5
Great food and great service. I had the cappriciosa pizza, which was hands down the best pizza I had in at least a year.
Amazing food, excellent service, fair price
very tasty food and good service!
Yummy food, good presentation
It was good, service and management are nice. Loved the desert
Had dinner with friends here tonight. The portion of the pasta they had were just like the kids meal . The prawn in the pasta size like baby shrimp. All the food are not hot. Not worth the prices we pay for
The food was so fantastic! Excellent vibes! Really nice service
Great Italian Restaurant! From the beautiful decor to the professional and personable staff, including the owner, this is one of Torontos best kept secrets! The pizza with Burrata cheese was over the top. Excellent! Cant wait to go back. Highly Recommend!
My wife and I recently had dinner here last Sunday. It was one of the few days we had a night to ourselves (our kids were with their grandparents), and we decided to just drive around and get a quick bite. She had Googled for an Italian restaurant around, and we liked the menu that we saw at Positanos. I was a little embarrassed walking in initially because of the decor and the better dressed people around, I was only in a shirt and bomber jacket, because we werent intending on going into such a nice place at first. But the staff was really welcoming, and even the owner had come to chat with us, had put me at ease. We had 4 delicious dishes. - Vitello Tonnato - Margherita Di Bufala - Risotto Allo Zafferano E Funghi - Branzino But we accidentally deleted the photo of the Pizza and the Veal. Overall, we had a great night, and had already talked about coming back here the next time we have time for a date night.
Delicious food! Great selection of wine to pair it with! Wonderful hospitality! This is a hidden gem! Highly recommended!
Prices are high, and portions are small. The 14oz veal chop must have a 10oz bone. The nenu has a very small selection with only 5 main course items. Check the menu before you go. Food : 3/5 |
Excellent food. Definitely fine dining. Highly recommended.
Over rated and the worst pizza ever
Best pizza in the Yonge-Eglinton area. Such a shame they arent open more
We came here on a whim and had the best Italian food Ive had in a long, long time. The pasta was delicious and I couldnt believe the amount of seafood it came with. The wines and beer were lovely and the tartufo and tiramisu were so good I had to eat both . We will definitely be back. The owner recommends you make a reservation, which we will do next time. Great service and great food! What a gem to have in our neighborhood.
Incredible place, great menu and very good service. The owner and servers are very professional and pleasant, so easy going and friendly. You always want to go back and turn other places down in order to go there to feel at ease and enjoy the night!
Terrible service which is a shame as their food is actually quite good. They never came to ask us if we needed anything else or more drinks or even offer the dessert menu after we were finished . At the end we didn t feel welcomed so we decided to just leave when in another situation we d have stayed longer.
We went there last week as a family. I can not explain how we enjoyed the night. They had a fantastic atmosphere and service which we felt like we were like on holiday in Italy. We had some appetizers, pasta, dessert and wine. Food, balsamic, the quality of ingredients which they used were so delicious. We loved it so much and will go back soon.
Excellent food and service.
Wonderful and delicious Italian food and very friendly Italian service. The owner is charming and added to our pleasant experience. I definitely recommend eating here if you get a chance.
Owner was uber friendly. Staff appeared scared. Antipasto board required three bottles of water and a litre of wine. Warm marinara sauce with the bread, instead of the ubiquitous oil and vinegar, was a surprising nice touch. Veal chops were overcooked but still tender. Barolo/mushroom sauce required a yummy bottle of Ripasso and three more bottles of water. Patio disappeared before we were done. Doggy bag and ordering dessert was like pulling teeth. My friend enjoyed his birthday dinner so I left a forty percent tip. Doubtful I will be back. Too much salt.
The owner is very friendly and all staff are nice. Delicious and fresh food. Nice patio. Well go there again this week.
Fantastic experience. Staff was warm and welcoming and the food speaks for itself. From the pizza bruschetta to the gnocchi. Everything was fantastic.
Wonderful service and wonderful food
Amazing food, staff, and owner. Was pleasantly surprised!
Lovely staff and management. Very kid friendly. Great food, very high quality. Definitely recommend this place
Fabulous Italian food and super friendly and attentive staff. Felt well taken care of, and even accommodated for a toddler which was impressive. Would highly recommend. You know its good when other Italians eat there.
What a spot! It was one of the best Italian meals I have had in Toronto in quite a while. The specials were great. Beef Carpaccio was to die for. We were a party of 4 and every dish we ordered was great. Fresh homemade pizza is a must too. Highly recommend it, and we will be back.
Absolutely incredible restaurant! My friends and I go here almost every week. The food is incredible. The service is so wonderful. Don, the owner, is always there to greet people, to walk them through the specials and to help anyone however he can. The staff is also lovely, always checking up on you, cleaning and wiping the tables after every course, always polite and professional.
We had great service, their Cafe TO street patio is super cute and very nicely decorated with gorgeous flower planters, the food and wine were fabulous and the staff were very friendly.
Great service
I can confidently that everything about my experience at this restaurant was stellar. The food was yummy and well presented. The service was honest and prompt. The ambiance was delightful. We enjoyed our patio dining. They even gave water to our dog. All around a wonderful experience.
Excellent food and service. Honest price.
I went for lunch the other day at this restaurant. I do not have a lot to say about the place other that I liked it. The menu was not very extensive so if you are a very picky eater make sure you check the plates of the day. What I ordered was amazing, flavourful and nicely presented. The service and the price when considering that is a restaurant and not a fast food was great.
So good! Every dish was great! Service was a bit slow as they were quite busy. But we werent in a rush and the server is so polite. I had the fettuccine con burrata, a special. It was good. Came with pesto sauce. My hubby had the seafood spaghetti, super yums. The grilled calamari was amazing. We think this is gonna be our new fav restaurant.
Excellent selection of dishes and daily specials. If you are lucky to catch the smoked salmon pasta special it is incredible. The staff are always so warm and friendly, and I never leave unsatisfied
Great dishes with reasonable prices. The overall main pasta dishes are around $20. Me and my family tried 4 different dishes and they were all well made and tasty. The bruscheta as an entrée was much bigger than I expected and was quite tasty too. Regarding the desserts, both the Tiramisu and the Panna Cotta were very well made, and I was finally able to taste a good tiramisu.
Delicious food. Great service. Our favourite
Food is good but I tad overpriced in my honest opinion.
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner. It was our first time, but we heard excellent things from many family members. We started with the calamari, which was grilled nicely. They have different specials on their blackboard outside. We both had the veal chops special for dinner. It was absolutely delicious. Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection. The owner came by and recommended a bottle of wine to us too, which we also enjoyed. He was very friendly and clearly passionate about his business. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great birthday meal.
BEST SERVICE EVER! Food was great and their staff was incredible and prompt making my moms birthday even more special. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some yummy food and good service in the city.
I visited Positano last evening and the two stars are only for the food. The food was amazing but having said that the service was abysmal. We were waited on only TWICE during the 2 hours we were there. Our mains arrived 45 minutes later after we finished our apps and if it was delayed we were not notified. We live in the neighbourhood and were so excited to try it but unfortunately didn t feel like at par with all the other diners at Positano. Won t be returning again.
Great little restaurant! Food is very nice, was sad to finish such a tasty meal. Only con is that the portion was a bit small for my self as I was still hungry after but I would return and reccomend this restaurant.
Amazing food and service! Highly recommend.
Top notch and class one act!! Excellent and delicious fresh Italian food!! Very , very highly recommended and I truly recommend!
Came here for the first time for my birthday! Location, atmosphere, service & THE FOOD... ALL so excellent! The gnocchi was delicious, tasted like when I was in Italy! 10/10 for me
Friendly servers with good food.
Staff made great experience , Great food
Great classic Italian food and excellent service. Nice ambiance. Can t go wrong with this place!
Probably the best Italian food we ve ever had
A great local Italian! We only tried pizzas and pastas but everything we tried, with the exception of the daily pizza special that wasnt to our liking, was very tasty. We didnt like the taste of the pancetta and thought there was something wrong with it, the owners immediately came to assure us that he just went to the kitchen to taste it and confirmed it is fresh, offering to replace the dish and apologizing it wasnt to our taste. Good wine list and very reasonably priced, unlike many other restaurants in the city. We had the tiramisu for dessert, which was creamy and yummy; not too sweet. Well come back to try their meat mains.
Been coming here for 20 years. Great food. Wonderful service and fantastic ambiance. Staff are caring and very attentive.
Great food and quality, specially for service is the best part.
