Great atmosphere and lots of TVs for watching a game. Good beer selection. Nice service. Wings were good. BBQ wings are actually made on a BBQ, which is nice. Burgers and fries looked very good. Only complaint is about the nachos. The chips appear to be Doritos Cool Ranch, which are horrible for nachos. They pile lots of cheese on, but not much else. The rest of the food was good, but the nachos really let the team down here. Only other thing is that they play the TV sound very low, so you can barely hear it. A lot of places do not play the game sound, but I really like it when they do.
The chicken wing sauces are good BUT the chicken is a little dry. I had at least one piece that was not edible. Fries were all cut up tiny pieces. Like the bits left in the end of the frozen fries.. service was alright but took a while to get the cheque because the waiter was too busy chatting up.
It was a weeknight and it was quite a large number of people by the bar table, patio and the other tables. Two of us sat down near to the wall and it’s a nice area. I read the information here that someone recommended the honey chicken wings and so happened it was a Monday which we had the chicken wings as special - they taste good and it was a nice time having conversations with food and drinks. The TV/Screens there show the sports games and the atmosphere is chill and relaxing. I saw some tables serve the usb lines say C type, iPhone or different kinds, I think in case if you need to charge your phones or other electronic devices etc.
It may have been a busy day, but tye feeling was we were forgot about. Communication was low for the staff and our group was sat and then it took a while for anyone to take an order... then the beers took almost 15 minutes to come to the table... then the apps, and then no cutlery or napkins... we were told they were on their way. We ate our food, finished our drinks and then had to go find someone to pay, so we could leave. All around the food tasted fine... standard pre-made frozen food. But not a place we will be returning to.
Amazing wings. Normally get the smoked wings in the summer when they have the smoker going. But the grilled wings are awesome as well!! Sriracha Honey Butter wings are amazing really good flavour. Highly recommend this place. Hidden gem! Monday nights are Wing Night!
Really homey atmosphere, feels like a classic sports bar. Drink selection is pretty typical for any rustic bar like this! Plenty of TVs playing whatever you wish, just ask and they’ll change the channel for you! The food was decent. Flavours were there but the fries were severely over cooked. Typical bar food. Loved that I had the option for cod tacos! Service was friendly, atmosphere lively but not at all overwhelming. Decent experience.
Hurricanes holds a special place in my heart. It's such a low-key spot but has incredible menu with incredible staff and incredible drinks selection. Their patio is nice and small, but comes with a lot of entertainment so highly recommend visiting if you're in the area
First time here. Was I thearea so decided to stop in for a quick bite and drink. Sat ourselves as no one greeted us. Even after we were seated it took a few long stares at the bar tender before she decided to bring us some menus, after she did that she never returned to our table and had another waitress serve us. In any event enough a out the unfriendly waitstaff, on to the food! Ordered wings. Pretty crispy and flavors were alright. Medium sized wings and they come with veggie sticks or fries. They also do have some nice craft beers there. I probably won't be back as the waitstaff is not really friendly or personable and really don't recommend to others to try either as there are many other better places to try
Best wings for 50 miles... price to high for a beer Fries 7.5/10... service 8/10 Food
A great place for Sunday Sports! Food was great, staff was quick and friendly, prices on point.....great environment....no complaints :)
jake is the man . amazing server and always good conversation about food and the restuarant industry. and their daily soups are amazing.
Place was dirty, food was okay, not seasoned.
Wild story. After sitting for 30 minutes and not being served, they finally came over to us and told us they were out of wings for wing night. I asked them if there was anything else they were doing tonight and the guy just said really sorry and there would be limited to no service for drinks as well. He did apologize we waited 30 minutes to order and had he taken our order earlier, There was food left but by the time he got to us, they were out. They re just so badly understaffed that I think they decided to just shut down for the evening
Went for drinks on the back patio on a warm saturday evening. It could use some string lights and plants to liven it up a bit. I think that would attract more people.
Ive seen so many cockroaches, and food quality has gone down.
Laura made this experience 5 star. Literally recommended it to three people after leaving off the back of her hospitality.
Walked in, sat with a buddy for 15 mins waiting for someone to tend to us. We walked out and will not be returning. Toronto service is bad but these folks take it to a new level. Went to a much better bar down the street that actually values customers.
Grilled pineapple curry wings were juicy and tasty. Easy to watch sports here
Great local bar feel. My favorite wing place in the city. Pretty decent beer selection although Im by no means a beer snob. Never had a bad meal or a bad time here.
Hurricanes has pretty formidable wings.
So friendly atmosphere
Decent place to watch the game and have a bite.
We love coming here for a cold beer and tasty wings/burger! Great local bar.
Hurricanes never disappoints! Wonderful food and service and fun atmosphere. Dakota was an outstanding server! Took fabulous care of us. Thank you Hurricanes! Food : 5/5
Had a nice time here! Food was tasty and it was good bang for your buck. It s giving homey sports bar, but I m not mad about it.
Came with a large group and the staff quickly accommodated us and set up tables. Our server Dakota was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the food and had a great night!
A great little hole in wall. Good pints from good folk.
My friend and I were here on Monday evening (February 12). We each ordered dinner and, since times are tough right now, stuck with water. Our server was Dakota (male), and once he brought us our food he completely ignored us. Never came over to check on us or our food or to see if we wanted coffee, tea, or dessert, and I KNOW it s because we didn t order drinks, god forbid. I understand the lower the total is the lower the tip, but I don t tip that way; if I receive great service, I tip very well. I m tired of servers ignoring patrons based on what they order.
so i took three margaritas and they charged me for four, and even though i was sure i took exactly three margaritas because there are even pictures of my orders, the waiter refused to accept my point of view, so this rating Marlay was not the best a waitress Food
Amazing food choices!
Best nachos I ve ever had. And I ve had a LOT of nachos.
Wings are pretty good, decent beer selection. The menu could use a refresh.
Feel like garbage walking out of this place. My girlfriend got served a chicken sandwich that was pink, and they didn t even apologize for it being undercooked. Seemed like it was a normal occurrence. Go somewhere else lol
Good food, good drinks, good vibes
Friendly service, good food selection and casual atmosphere. Great for brunches - including good options for kids.
Low key the best sports bar in the west end. Great food, fantastic beer selection, awesome servers, friendly regulars.
The nachos have long lettuce.
Great wings, bloody Marys and always friendly and accommodating staff
I thought this place was great. I was there on a wing night, wings were perfectly cooked. Moist, fall off the bone chicken smothered in a really delicious hot sauce. They come fried, baked or grilled. I went with grilled, which I highly recomend. I also have to commend this place on the beer quality. Perfect pour and such a clean flavor. Tasted as if the beer was poured right out of a bottle. Service was a tad slow, but they were busy so all good on that. Lots of T.V.s to watch your favorite sports on also. Definitley recomend if you are in the area. Cheers!
Great place for a pint. Food is pretty good. Great staff always up for a chat.
Fun little pub, great service.
Wings! Beers! And a casual friendly atmosphere! Hurricanes gives you all that you want and none of the pretence of other bars. It attracts all types and that s the best part!
Great service, friendly staff! The fries & gravy are superb!
Best fried chicken sandwich in the west end. Great wings as well. Try their curry hot honey. Food : 5/5
Friendly service, nice atmosphere and fresh food. Will definitely be back.
Drinks are expensive compared to other places in the area.
Good bar, good wings special, and good beer selection.
Great place. Great staff. Great times. The memories created here are eternal
Great local sports bar. Good selection of beer and the wings are really good! Despite being the only server for the whole bar during a leafs playoff game, he was great!
Amazing bar. Best wings in town! Service is impeccable - shout out to our server Dakota who is as handsome as he is hospitable.
Came here for the hockey game last night, it was full and had a fun vibe. Lots of different drinks to choose from, we got nachos and sweet potato fries and it was just average pub food. Service was fairly quick but server barely said a word to us all night
Ross and the gang keep this place going well. Ice cold beer and great pub food. There are still a few memories on the wall in respect to the old past owner, Dino. How cool is that? It pleases me to see that Ross holds tradition that this bar is a great place to meet friends, drink, eat and watch a game. This joint is in better shape than its ever been. If you live in the hood, this little pub should be your local. If you are just passing through the neighbourhood, then take a break and drop in for a drink and something to eat. The prices are fair and the service is excellent. At this present day and age, Hurricanes at Bloor and Dovercourt should be considered a city landmark. This bar is a Toronto institution. Legend. Do yourself a favour and drop by. This bar/pub has been looked after and brought up to speed but when you walk through the door, you will know you are stepping into a 1980s style bar. How cool is that?
Stumbled upon this place while touring the hood. Very enjoyable. Tasty food, good service and ice cold pints Food
This pub offers an exceptional experience. The service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious, and the vibe was great. Highly recommended!
Very Nice place to hang out with friends great food and drinks and Jenn is wonderful:)
Wings remain some of the best in toronto 10/10
Ordered the fish and chips, and it was burned ; replaced it with the fried chicken sandwich -also burnt ; the oil is obviously too hot and hurricanes needs a new chef perhaps ?
Update!!! Arjun provides the best customer service!!!! Hands down this guys is a super hero !!!! We re there for UK vs Columbia women s FIFA game and he was super cool even though my brother was prick Ask for him and tip big!! Won t he disappointed Best wings in the city!
Five stars for Adam and his awesome staff!!!
Its a great place to grab a terrific meal. Service was fast, and the food was amazing. Definitely would recommend going here.
Food was solid but burger a bit dry When busy the place gets very loud Food
Great local bar to have some drinks and catch a game. Just dont order a Caesar because it will cost you $15. Food
Great neighborhood pub to grab a beer, eat some fried food, and watch a game.
Great little sports bar (with a great little patio). Food is typical pub fare but nothing to complain about there. Friendly staff and the drinks are always cold
Perfect place to go and watch the game, drinks were cold and food smelled and looked delicious.
I love it
Great wings, good atmosphere (a bit dark though), and the staff helping us was great - thanks Dakota!
Would leave zero if I could, Jen was rude and made us feel so unwelcome. She was awful to us and we will never come back here again. Warning folks, there are plenty of better spots to check out in the city. This place needs better staffing.
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Will substitute vegan meat alternatives for no extra charge Food
Came here to eat during a vacation in the area. Perhaps my experience in the industry has tainted my expectations, but the service was atrocious. The servers acted annoyed with any questions asked, like it was an inconvenience to take our order. I believe their glass dishwasher wasnt working properly as the glasses were obviously not sanitized. There were not clean/had lipstick residue on them. There were cockroaches in the bathroom, which leads me to assume theyre in food prep/storage areas as well.
Best low key bar to watch football in the city
Really nice place, recommended
Great place to have some food and a couple of drinks. The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly. We always enjoy dropping in here for a drink and some food when we are in town.
20m to be seen by a server. Food was actually bad for all of us (party of 6). If youre there to watch a game and drink beer though, it will work.
Total classic bar. The food is ok, we just go for drinks and maybe cheap wings. Where this place really shines is on the service. The servers are so freaking nice and friendly and actually make you feel welcomed and not a burden like most places in Toronto. The only house rule is to be kind to one another. I love that. The atmosphere is also perfect. It has that small town vibe we all know from back home . We have been going here for years and will keep coming back. Even the patrons are friendly to one another. The beer tap menu is also very local and lots of options to try . Keep it up! What happened to the jukebox???
Best sports bar in the city
Nice back patio, good tunes
TL;DR: I would like to give it a 4.5. Cool little place on Bloor. Good food and service. I came across this bar while on Bloor with my friends and thought we give it a try. Really like the aesthetic of the place and the staff were nice. The menu was standard bar food, nothing too special. They have a lot of options for vegetarians and vegans and accommodated my friend with the tacos; they replaced the chicken tacos ingredients with vegan friendly options. My only complaint was the fish and chips (fries) were WAY TOO salty, even for me. I had to ask my waiter a few times for more water because of how salty the food was, and they kind of took awhile to get me the water. On the plus side, doesn t seem like they water down their drinks. I m a huge fan of chicken sandwiches so I ll definitely come back to try theirs since my friend said it was good.
Great first dinner in Toronto before restaurants closed. Loved the veggie burger and the onion rings. And love all the hockey stuff on the wall. Very typical. Ill definitely visit again.
Good service, Yummy Poutine with Bacon
The most dive-y sports bar in the area.
Great local hangout. Has TVs around the entire place so youll get all the games. The people who work there are fantastic. Food is good pub fare! Summertime patio is awesome too!
Good food friendly staff and willing to make your food how ever you want it
My neighborhood sports bar. Super cozy inside and great back patio. Great friendly service and yummy comfort food and beer.
Nice host. Good atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was less than mediocre and got my order wrong. Dont recommend their brunch.
The wings were really good. Friendly staff.
Good food. A bit pricy.
Great place to pop in for a drink or a bite. Everything is decent.
Standard sports bar, great craft beer selection but subpar wings
Great Neighborhood Pub. Great selection of beers. Great food and an awesome vibe. The staff are top notch. Its like the real life Cheers. A great place to watch the game.
Taking the pleasure of a beer, on St Patricks Day, inside a bar! May these days never end... again!
They have warm fresh pretzels. What else do you need to know? Pretzels. Try finding another bar that serves fresh pretzels. Nothing else matters if youve got pretzels on your menu.
Literally defines everything great about a dive bar and Im hesitant to even call it the. It a neighborhood bar: laid back but amazing service (our server seemed to have the entire room but still made it feel like we were her only table) she was attentive and on top of it. It was welcoming and easy going. Perfect spot for Saturday night.
Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, great wings!
Amazing wings
Owned by the legendary hurricane Carter. This bar does not lean on the reputation of its name sake. The food is excellent and drinks are reasonably priced. Check it out. You will not be disappointed.
The food was so good here, better than expected. I had the Panko chicken, with soup, was gourmet quality!
By far the best wings in the city!
Watched the Leafs game here Thursday night. Fun energy, courteous staff and food was great. Beer selection is good. They were busy, given the game. Not sure if they were understaffed, but our server was solid and very helpful, given how busy it was.
Wasnt too impressed with their tacos but still giving them a 5 star because their service was stellar, waitress was kind and helpful and even with the picky eater 4 year old chillin with us. The macaroni was hella good, and the cauliflower bites were .
Started having a bar food craving recently and decidedly to binge on the local scene. Definitely warm food is amazing especially when youre within walking distance. Fish and chips were crispy despite perspiring in the container. Nachos were well packed and presented with cheese, definitely enough to feed 4 small children of a meal. Odd surprise with the pizza rolls since I didnt expect pepperoni wrapped in egg wrappers, and the deep fried crunch with the soft inside was a nice texture to bite into as an app. Current hired staff are really nice at the door, though a bit inconvenient to call to order before entering. Unfortunately I never step foot inside before the pandemic but definitely a few glances recently carries a more cleaner Sneaky Dees vibe. Would visit in the future when the situation isnt take-out only. For now, definitely want to return to try their grilled goods.
Pizza bites are great bartender has a bit of attitude you all know the one I am talking about :-)
Great meal.
Good selection of beer and pleasant staff
Best wings in the city
Delicious food, great drinks
Great Food and Service!! Vegetarian options: Beyond Burger Pattys available as an option!!
Just had the wings + fries combo. The food came in under 1 hour, which is great. However, the wings were mostly burnt, had to throw some it out. The fries, tho warm, felt stale, as if it had been thrown in the microwave instead of being deep fried. The only thing i wasnt disappointing with it was the can of pepsi that came with the food. Wouldnt order again
The food is amazing! You must come here. Atmosphere is inviting, bartender is helpful. Great little place with good music.
Amazing chicken sandwich! The balance of spicy and savoury was perfect. The portion was very large and I would recommend sharing
The beer and food are good. However we went with a group of about 15 people. They automatically add a service charge of 20% for groups and the waitress did not point this out. Really adds a bad aftertaste to a place that is generally alright.
Great food, good whiskey, and Adam the bartender makes sure you are all good. Great place and going back for sure.
The food and drinks are amazingly good for a bar!! BUT me and my friends mainly go to stare at the cook in the back lmfao (tall and dark skin) thank you for making our meal! As long as he s their me and my friends will be back soon
Good food and a solid local craft beer selection
Nice beers on tap and a solid 2-for-1 wing special on Mondays and Tuesdays. Docking one star because its ridiculous to start suggested tips at 18% - Torontos tipping culture has gotten out of hand.
Nice little spot, they had a good selection of different beers to try. Service was quick. Pulled pork tacos were super delicious. Definitely going to visit again!
The fries were a bit soggy/underdone. Kind of pricey given the quality.
This place used to have the best wings, but not so much anymore. The pints were not that good... but honestly there are few bars in the city of toronto that know how to pour a pint or even just have their lines cleaned.
2 4 1 wings Monday and Tuesday. Great place for a pint wings and sports.
A nice quiet place to have drinks with friends. Service is good. Great tasting chicken wings here, especially the grilled kind. Will go back.
Best sports bar ever!
No frills kinda Bar
Great local bar with a fun and friendly neighbourhood vibes feel. Overall Good food and service. Solid distribution and setup of televisions for watching sports. Overall it would be a spot I frequent if I lived in the neighborhood
Pretty amazing sports bar with so many TVs! Great beer selection as well and the food is pretty good to! If youre in the area and a game is on, go check it out.
There was a cockroach on my table! There s a very high possibility, actually almost certainty I m not going back to this place again.
Its alright
Good bar food, good service. Trivia night on Tuesdays. Can t go wrong here.
Sneakily the best wings in Toronto - get the smoked grilled version - only available in restaurant. They are OUTSTANDING
Out for a girls evening and we stopped in for some food and drinks. We sat down for over 15 minutes without being greeted or acknowledged. 2 servers, and there was about 25 people in the bar. The servers did shots with the table next to us, and still didnt even make eye contact with us. I guess it was more important to drink on the job, rather than take our order. Other patrons noticed that we were not being served. We got up and left and still no acknowledgement. Went to another spot across the street and the service, and food were great! Wouldnt even give it a one star.
Came in after an event with some friends looking to have a few drinks. Waited for 20 minutes without any service. It was a Monday night and not even busy. We ended up walking out and went across the street to The Black Horse. Thank goodness they had good food and service.
Was really looking forward to eating here, menu sounded fantastic and overall atmosphere seemed friendly - at first. Came in as a group of 4 looking to have a few drinks and some dinner and other than a server dropping menus at our table we had absolutely zero acknowledgment from the staff. Waited 15-20 mins and no one even took our drink order. Servers were clearly purposely ignoring us, they passed our table numerous times on their way to double & triple check at other tables. Even other tables noticed our lack of service. I have the patience of a saint in a busy restaurant (I used to be a bartender/server, I get it) but this was not busy and was over the top rude. So glad we found another place to go instead. Staff seemed wonderful with the regulars, guess newcomers are just not welcome.
I like their wings and the service was nice. It s a good place spending time with friends and watching sports
Great wings, everyones very friendly. Good place to watch sports. Food and drinks are good sizes and reasonably priced. Cant wait till we can dine in again!
Wish we could go in. We miss this place so much. We got Delivery of hot wings and beer (Gale Force flavour). Just as good as we remember. See you guys soon.
I love the neighbourhood vibe of this place. Not pretentious or snobby, or trying to be anything its not. Best thing on the menu is the wings. The Greek salad is also great! Super fun during playoffs!
Good food, great service, youve got to try those cauliflower bites, love em!
Great club sandwich, not great Guinness.
A sweet dive
Amazing wings, good value for money food. Lots of pints on tap. Great place to watch sports!
Its pretty average but the service was great.
Great wings, grilled or fried!
My new favourite bar. I went here recently and I was very impressed with their wide range of craft beer selections. Their food is pretty good too!
Amazing staff and amazing wings! They take vaccine requirements seriously and do everything possible to keep their customers safe.
It s the best. If people don t like it that s on them.
Amazing food, portions, prices and staff.
Classic neighborhood joint. Great for pints, wings and watching the game.
Classic neighbourhood spot. Will always love this spot.
Great bar with good service, good prices, wing specials throughout the week and fun decor. No frills but none needed at this classic joint.
Had a great time here. Fries and gravy are great too. Great place to watch a leaf game.
Used to be a great friendly bar (circa 2015-17 when I first visited) but my recent experience was quite negative. I explained my mask exemption (due to nose injury) but they were not very understanding. They insisted I put on a mask to walk a short distance to a table. We went up the street to Japas who were much more courteous. I understand it s been a tough couple years for businesses but the lack of understanding about a genuine disability was upsetting. If you are disabled in anyway way, best to phone ahead and check if they are OK to accommodate. I have made many great memories here over the years so it s kind of sad. I remember the poutine being good hence 2 stars rather than 1.
I had a business meeting with a colleague. I ordered a coffee and looked at a menu. The service was really good.
If I could leave a zero star review I would. My friends and I had a reservation on the night of the raptors game 7. We all showed up early, with our email confirmation, and were told that someone forgot to let them know we were coming. There were about 8 empty tables at the time, our entire party was there ready to drink and eat, and just watch the game! We all ubered there, and probably spent $60-$100 on ubers amongst ourselves to get there. They told us there was nothing they could do, and obviously we couldnt get in anywhere else to watch the game because it was so last minute. They offered us nothing to compensate for this extremely unprofessional behaviour.
Most of the inside bar has been cleared out because of covid, but there is a new small front patio and the back patio which are Servicing. You can eat in or you can take out.
Amazing sports atmosphere in the west end
Horrible attitude from waitress, sat me outside when I just wanted to watch the raptors and eat wings, ordered take out instead, and the wings were absolutely terrible, worst ones I had this year, terrible experience in this place, not the first time, since Ive been going there for 3 decades and have had a few problems with the way they treat Latin Americans in there. Yes,it has happened a few tome.
Ordered their thanksgiving dinner off of Uber eats and it was incredible! It was a proper thanksgiving feast with a great assortment of sides plus desert!!
Went to watch the World Series on their heated back patio and it was a hood time. Service was excellent, food was good and they have non-alcoholic beer as well! Very Covid conscious as well. Ill go back!!!
Great burgers!!!!! Fantastic large salad with it! Or with fries!!!! Great neighbourhood spot to order from!!!!
