Possibly the best wing sauces in the city. If you like hot and flavourful, this is the spot. They ve got several options of hot (which are legitimately hot) and many other flavours. The prices are very reasonable and there s a nice selection of drinks. Roberto, I believe was the bar man s name, was extremely friendly and very nice explaining all the sauces and just chatting with us. Thursday night is open comic night so just keep that in mind if you go on a Thursday! The price total was high because we had 3 pints each, 2 lbs each, and split a large fries.

We LOVE The Groove Bar!! They have the best chicken wings on the Danforth and their entire menu is classic and comforting. We love that they are a family owned and operated business and always feel super welcomed and taken care of when we are there. Dont go to major chain pubs. Support these types of establishments. Where everyone knows your name.... Oh, and the free comedy nights are always a blast!

Omg! This unassuming sports bar has the best food!! I was shook! From the salads to the most amazing chicken wings, home-made suaces too!! Everyrhing tastes fresh and delish!!. I couldnt believe it!! Great price points too. Its a macedonian family run spot. One brother and father in the front, the other brother and (i believe the mom) in the back chefing up a delicious stor late into the night. Throughly impressed. You can feel the care and love in the air. A Gem of a place and a must visit.

First timer here! Was an amazing experience. Was just in the area with my girl looking for a place to play billiards. They also had a juke box and karaoke. The ambience and the bartender had a great vibe. Shout out to the bartender, RRROBERTO! DEFINITELY coming back.

Lame vibe in stand ups

Gonna be honest . My rum and Coke wasn t great. My gin and tonics were respectable. And I didn t have any food . But the place was hopping! And the vibe was fun and positive. The stand up comedy was a great experience. It s a great local spot and I m definitely going to go back to have a rum and Coke. It s a great escape. Plus I believe they have a karaoke night too. But I was there for the comedy. If I have enough gin and tonics I may get up for the open mic set on a Thursday night. Staff was great and crowd was very supportive.

By far the best chicken wings I ve ever had. They are cooked perfectly and the sauce is delicious. They have about 30 different flavors including some ludicrously hot ones. Medium is perfect for me. Great live music and really nice people.

Kid-friendliness: Very kind and accommodating with a 10 year old that was there with her parents, even letting the karaoke start early so she could sing too.

An amazing bar and grill, great location. The service was really nice definitely a place for regular visits the price for the food was reasonable and not to expensive. And if you ever go get the Mediterranean nachos trust me you wont regret 100% recommended for your next bar and grill

The hot and honey garlic wings are really tasty as are the mozza sticks! Was there for open mic comedy Thursday-- acts are hit and miss but the crowd is pretty positive overall. Food : 4/5

Didnt have food but the nachos were a very big portion! Rob the bartender was awesome and hosted the karaoke as well. Luckily, Big Guy Sean was assistant karaoke DJ to help things move along. Fun night, chill crowd, would definitely go again! Be warned: Cash only.

Wanted to stop by somewhere new for drinks tonight and really glad we chose this place. Bartender was a really personable and friendly guy that did a great job of making us feel welcome. Drinks were great, hot wings were really flavourful and the sauce was apparently home made which was cool to hear. You can tell a lot of love and care goes into this place and I m excited to go back sometime

Absolutely the BEST family run bar in town!! Been going to The Groove off and on for over 6 years, mostly for their Karaoke nights by far the most welcoming and friendly place Ive been too! Also helps that the food and drinks are reasonably priced this will always be my go to place. I hadnt been out in quite sometime (as covid hit and had 2 babies lol) popped in to The Groove as I had a my best friend in town so took her there for a night out and Rob remember me even though I hadnt been in a few years. Thats the kind of place I love!

If you dreamed up your ideal local bar, it would have cold beer, great service, exceptional and affordable food, clean facilities, and a barkeep who knows your name. The Groove fits this description and offers so much more. Drop by and you will not be disappointed. The wings are AMAZING (I used to review wings all across the country and these are among the very very best) and Robert (the barkeep) is attentive, amusing, and extremely welcoming. 10/10 bar. The wings here are excellent! I was PUMPED when I first visited The Groove as I am a big wing fan, and am thrilled to have this in the neighbourhood. Rob is kind and a wing guru - his homemade sauces/flavours are incredible. This guy knows what hes doing. Have dined-in and taken-out and highly recommend both.

Great little bar. Friendly staff and unassuming. Chicken wings are tasty and the hot and suicide sauces are hot and hotter. Spice fans wont be disappointed. If you like Karaoke or just watching, this is your place in East York, with in house Karaoke 4 nights a week its never a full moment at The Grove Lounge.

Love checking out the comedy shows here on Thursday night. Great chicken wings too. Highly recommended!

Cash only, but I think theres an ATM inside. We went there for karaoke on Friday night, but it ended up not happening, and were not sure why. Regular sports bar vibe with a pool table. Biggest plus was the lovely bartender.

The Comedy has balls over there

Purposely skipped over multiple other bars just so I could make it to the groove for last call and I arrived with 5 minutes left before 2 and told the bartender how Id skipped the other bars just so I could come here to grab one beer in time for last call and was turned away because apparently they do last call earlier so that everyone is out by 1:30. When I told him that its not 2 yet and I only wanted one beer and would be out in 10 minutes well before 1:30 like all the other patrons had until I was still told no. Disappointing customer service to say the least especially when I made it a point to let the bartender know I only wanted to come here which is why I skipped other bars I could have easily gone into for last call.

Came here with a group of friends recently. Food was okay - nothing special. Service was underwhelming. We had to get up and walk over to the bar a few times to get help from the person serving our table for refills on drinks. Overall, okay but likely wont choose to return.

This was my first visit to Toronto, and Im glad this bar was my first and last stop. As an out of towner, Rob made me feel at home, and was very accommodating. If I ever come back, Im gonna make sure to stop by again. Please give Rob all your money, and dont ever say his bruchetta isnt anything less than the best!

Kareoke Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, stand up comedy open mic on Thursdays and some Tuesday open mic live music. Oh and a pool table in case you are not feeling neither of. If you live in the area, is a most go. Did I mention he makes killing cocktails... If you are into martinis ask him for his corpse reviver #2

Even showing up near closing time, the staff/manager accommodated our food and drink needs with great wings and cold beer. The staff member who waited on us was very friendly and engaging. Def return to this place.

Just went in to try it with my family as based on reviews it sounded great. We stood there in the dimly lit place for a couple of minutes. A customer with a pool cue in her hand said just take a seat because they dont seat people here. We sat down in the front for about 5 minutes and not a single person as much as glanced our way to serve us. It was not busy either. Very unfortunate that we were ignored.
