Amazing food and even better service

Fantastic food. Service is amazing! Price a little bit high compared with the amount of food you get for it. But food is really tasty.

The food is fantastic. We ordered Fried calamari, chorizo & shrimp linguine and their special that night the lamb chop. Everything was delicious, flavourful and gorgeous presentation. My partner and I, enjoyed our dinner very much. Dietary restrictions: I am lactose intolerant and everything was cooked without dairy for us that we can share. Our best compliment to the chef!

Visited for a Friday dinner with 4 longtime friends. We go to a Toronto area steakhouse several times a year and try to visit different spots. The restaurant was virtually empty (after 7pm too). This was surprising but didnt faze us. We ordered a round a Caesar salad. The flavour was very weak. Not much dressing, croutons and cheese were the typical store bought. Our table sides were roasted brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes and fries. None of the sides were overly pleasing. Brussels were very under cooked. Each bite needed the steak knife! Fries were fresh and cooked well. The mashed was pretty bland. None of the sides were memorable. Our steaks were fantastic. Striploin, filet, ribeye. All cooked perfectly and each bite was very good. The service was another hilite. Very attentive and knowledgeable. The true lowlight of the evening occurred when we were waiting to pay our bill. A cockroach skittered across the table from underneath the sugar packet holder. Thankfully, we had finished the eating part of the night. But, not something to be expected at a fine dining establishment. An unfortunate ending to the evening. Despite the steak being really good, the rest of the meal did not hold up. If youre looking for steak, it would be best to look elsewhere.

This is a gem of a steakhouse in our hood - the steaks are always cooked to perfection the way we like it and the service VIP. Hands down the best calamari - modern with a spicy twist! And the desserts divine!!!

My husband and I went to Black Angus for drinks at their bar. You can enjoy their bar food menu and cocktail menu in a more relaxed atmosphere. I tried their specialty cocktails and they were amazing! Caitlin was our bartender and server. Caitlin is a very experienced mixologist . Every cocktail was made with superb ingredients. I look forward to returning soon. Thank you Caitlin!

I had a delicious tenderloin and root vegetable meal with some work colleagues.

Food is amazing. We had seafood tower that has seared scallops, pawns, grilled clams and grilled oysters on a bed of green. Clams were slightly salty for my taste but overall very enjoyable. The crab cakes were absolutely delicious. For main course, we had New York steak with creamini mushrooms, no doubt it was one of the best steaks in town. Our server Debra was very attentive, she came back to top up our water and brought drinks to us quickly after it was ordered. The only complaint was that the steak took too long. We waited 45mins after having our appetizers and seafood tower. If we didnt have to wait so long I would have given full 5 Stars.

Black Angus Steakhouse is a fantastic restaurant to visit ! Located right in the heart of the North York area , located on Bloor Street, Black Angus Steakhouse is a luxury to visit! The staff at Black Angus Steakhouse are really cool, down to earth and able to assist with the menu. The staff are really awesome and provide for you as much information as possible. The waiting staff are really nice and provide for you with a lot of respect and treat you really nice as well. The menu at Black Angus Steakhouse is a great for your wallet. The menu has a mixture of steaks that are available to you and come from various prices ranging from $50 to $150. Its all a matter of what youre into and what you are looking to experience. If you are into a T-bone 40 ounce steak, by all means you are more than welcome to have one. When I arrived at Black Angus Steakhouse, I opted in for the 18 ounce Medium well, Steak and Fries. The steak was cooked to perfection and I was able to eat everything. Also, at Black Angus Steakhouse, you do have a variety of other dishes to choose from such as salads, pasta, appetizers, and dessert. The cheesecakes were made to perfection and I was able to enjoy every bit of it. Ill definitely be back at Black Angus Steakhouse as its a great restaurant to visit and great for the area and its surroundings.

Used to go to the original Black Angus. on Bloor Street for years Steaks and service were always great there. . We were regular customers for many years We decided to to try their newer location. We ordered filet mignon. When the filet arrived it looked like a different cut of meat. Almost like a piece of stewing beef. Not even edible So tough and chewy you couldnt even cut it with a knife. This was horribly disappointing . A Filet mignon is always the most tender cut of beef . We asked to speak to the chef since we were paying $65 for one piece of meat. He came out with such an attitude and arrogance.. and so rude He insulted us and said the customer is not always right. He was very temperamental. This set a negative tone for the whole evening. Very disappointing Do not recommend

Ordered my steak rare. It had no pink at all. Didn t make a fuss as it was tender and I was hungry. Others have said the steaks are overcooked so be really specific when ordering. Nice place but way overpriced for what was on the plate

Valentine s dinner. 5 star experience from start to finish from the impeccable service by Marjorie to the delicious food. That truffle butter can be put on everything to make it extra tasty. Kale salad was delish, rib steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the baked potato and broccolini also yummy. Had to make room for the chocolate peanut butter cake.

I enjoyed it. Turns out everyone else with me got sick. Only down side to this place is the pricey parking fee.

Niamh brought brightness and radiance to the meal with her exceptional service. Black Angus Steakhouse is a staple of AAA excellence in Etobicoke. Curry Cesar Salad with Shrimp & Oysters to start, finishing with a Canadian Dry Rub and a glass of Chianti.

Went here with a large party of 10 and the service and food was fantastic! I shared the Tomahawk Steak and was it ever big! Everything from the Tartar to the Deserts were quite popular all around. 1 Person ordered pasta which was subpar but the issue was quickly corrected and it was replaced with a delicious steak. Who orders pasta at a steakhouse? haha Parking: Underground parking is validated by the restaurant if you ask.

Our family once got takeout from Black Angus (during the pandemic) that was really tasty, so we came back to celebrate a birthday. It was, unfortunately, disappointing in certain respects. The good: the Canadian tenderloin and sides (Brussels sprouts and fries) were very good, the service was generally attentive, and they gave us a complimentary dessert for the birthday a nice touch. The not so good: the truffle flavour in the butter accompanying the bread was so strong as to be overpowering; the risotto was meh (blandish, and the shrimp was overcooked); the drinks order was mixed up; the dessert was hard as a rock (straight from the freezer? It was work cutting it!); and the worst part, we were swatting fruit flies throughout the meal! Not what we expected for those prices. I might try a takeout burger again sometime, but not a sit down meal. I prefer someplace like Earls for better value and equal or better quality. Too bad.

We got the crab cakes and tuna tartare as apps and the clam pasta and rack of lamb for mains. Everything was so delicious, BEYOND delicious. Crab cakes were a favourite. Oh and they served with fresh bread and truffle butter

The food was a bit disappointing considering its a fine dining restaurant. I dont have any issues with small portions as long as the quality of food is decent which wasnt the case here. Staff are not really knowledgeable about what they offer on the menu just the service was decent. The most disappointing thing was their wine selection. Over all its not good value for money.

Deborah was the best! She was knowledgeable and outgoing! We never felt rushed. Our first time there and definitely not the last. I would be remiss if I ignored the beautiful Hostess who accommodated us because we were early. The steaks AND sides were incredible Food

This was my first time, went here for lunch with team. The tomato soup was great. The steak could have been better. The Rainbow trout was full of flavours. Overall it was great experience and would love to visit again

I am still perplexed regarding a $750 bill for food that made me wish McDonalds still sold the McRib. We came here from past recommendations prior to Covid. It looks like this place has gone downhill, but they have not updated their prices to reflect the change in quality. Let s get into it. The cheese bread, great. Oysters, excellent even. But once the mains came it was a true let down. The steaks were cold, under seasoned, and flavourless. The ribs were were tougher than childhood trauma and when we complained we were told, yes they are not fall off the bone here . Why?? $50 for meat stronger than a jean jacket?? The lobster tails were cold, flavourless, and unimpressive. We purchased them knowing it would be at market price, and should have absolutely inquired about what that was. $46 for one 5oz tail!! Red Lobster was laughing from Dufferin. We complained and they thankfully reduced the cost of the tails by half. We did order many drinks but nothing near justifying a $750 bill. Deb the server was the only good thing here. Deb if youre seeing this Im sorry your shoulders must be hurting from carrying this restaurant on your back. I am legitimately embarrassed I recommended this place. For $750 go have a nice night pretty much anywhere else. Also whoever said the cheesecake was the best they ve ever had in these comments should be arrested.

All around good spot! My personal favourite is David the Somm. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. I ll keep going back.

Absolutely delicious

Steak quality is below average. We had waygu, bone in ribeye and lamb chops. Had waygu many times and this didn t taste anything close to what Ive had previously from other places or markets. Took over an hour for out entrees and they came out cold. The manager said he d flash it. Flashing presliced steak and lamb chops don t taste the same even when it came back it was lukewarm. Management made me pretty angry that I had to complain a few times before they took it off our bill. Not sure if covid affected this places quality, it s unfortunate but I won t ever return or recommend this place.

We had a reservation and they put us in a cold room with no heat. After everyone complained they finally moved us. The meal was mostly average for me but my dates meal was not cooked properly. She ordered medium it came back rare and the lobster tail had gone bad they should never have served it. She was sick all night

The staff and food are both top class

We went for a birthday with 7 family members. We ordered 5 steaks, 3 were very overdone. Because we waited so long for our food, only one person, who ordered rare sent the steak back, and they accommodated it. But when it came time to pay we had a gift card we were given, they wouldnt accept it. The gift card was the only reason we booked! Sheesh. Do not recommend. This is the very first review I am posting on Google, but I couldnt believe how bad the experience was.

Would recommend this place to anyone. The waiter weve had both times Ive gone is incredible, and the whole service is great. Along with that, the food, the most important part, has always been cooked perfectly and the sides and every app Ive tried is great. Recommend the filet Minon and steak tartar. Only thing is Patron shots are $19 caught me off guard. But expected when you come to a place like Black Angus. All in all, worth a try.

Far from what it used to be. Filet was very ok, baked potato seemed like it had been under a heat lamp all day. Cookie cutter Toronto restaurant atmosphere...none. Very sad we lost the original restaurant.

Service is decent. Steak is just really poor quality and equally poor preparation. Overcooked vegs. We also had the steak tartare and the foie gras, both were just terrible quality and taste was completely overpowered by mustard for the tartare and sweetness for stringy foie gras. Dessert was the only decent thing. Do not recommend. There are better places out there. What a shame. First and last time.

Came here last night with my parents since they re visiting and we loved everything. Our server (Candice/Candace?) was amazingly sweet and gave great recommendations. The meat was a bit too done for medium rare on all of our plates (especially mine), it was still very good so we didn t say anything. Would still recommend to anyone! Had a great time :)

Went at 4:30 on a Saturday so it was relatively quiet. The ambiance was nice as we entered and sat on a covered patio. The steak and the apps were delicious, and our server was very pleasant.

Came here for my partner s birthday and we came in the early afternoon for a late lunch. The restaurant was virtually empty, but the service was painstakingly slow. Staff were very friendly, but we were turned off because we had been sitting for almost twenty minutes before anyone took our drink order. We had the crab cake and octopus bacon apps and they were ok. Steak was prepared as requested, but the $9 side of veggies consisted of two large chunks of cauliflower and the equivalent of two Brussels sprouts cut in half. The side of fries were great. For dessert they were kind enough to get us the crème brûlée cheesecake tart for my partner s birthday but for the price of the apps and steak/sides I was expecting a bit more.

Not worth it. At all. Go to la Castile, hell, Ive had better meals at the keg (surprisingly). I will say, the dessert was delicious.

Celebrated a birthday here. Disappointed. Overall kids menu & see food was ok. Nothing special. Steaks were burned as hell , overcooked, dry , bitter , steak sauce were even forgotten to bring. Same as 20 min wait to for 2nd bottle of wine. $900 bill for a table , not even making these guys to do there job well. restaurant wasnt over crowded. So no excuses for all. No birthday cakes or candles. Overall , poor poor place.

This poorly managed restaurant is not prepared to serve a half empty restaurant. We brought our kids for 730. By 9 15 there was no food, no explanation by the waiter and no estimate of when the food would arrive. We asked for the manager and he said it would take probable another 30 minutes. Disaster.

Had an anniversary dinner here recently and we had an outstanding time. Im really bad with names but our waitress was amazing, attentive, the ambiance was great and the food was delicious (we had the raw oysters and the grilled salmon).

Great steakhouse with a wood fired grill. The steaks are delicious and get a nice crust from the flame. I didnt find the Caesar salad or the baked beans side to be particularly interesting. But the twice baked truffled cheese potato was delicious. Dessert was very good, the portions probably a bit too large and heavy for such a meal. Ambiance and service was great. The dining room did get a little loud as it filled up. Parking: Weekend parking is plentiful but will cost $5. There is no parking validation

Its a very nice dining room. Its also quite expensive. Definitely a departure if youre idea of splurging is the Keg. Most dishes are set up in a a la carte fashion in which you choose your cut of beef, then your side and any add ons. Expect to spend about $150 to $200 per person with a drink or two with the entry level cuts. Possibly quite a bit more if you opt for the premium cuts. Its sits somewhere between the Ruths Chris and Blueblood. But more modern and refined than barbarians. A bit dear for my wallet but a great choice for a special occasion.

Perfect steak and salad awesome service

Black Angus isnt the old steakhouse it once was. Moving to the new location gave the opportunity for a modern refresh in the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant, with an open view of the kitchen. Service was attentive and prompt and all requests were accommodated. The food was also spot on for everything we tried. My wife and I had the tuna tartar, oysters, classic Caesar salad, 12oz dry aged strip loin (you really could taste a distinct flavour of the dry aging!). Sides were all excellent and I especially enjoyed the truffle baked potato with Manchego cheese. Dinner was for 8 for a friends birthday and to our surprise, a gratuity was not added for our party. Bills were split without any fuss, as well. Definitely an enjoyable experience and good food, giving this an easy 5 star review!

Quite simply one of Torontos best steakhouses. All food is delicious and well made. Steaks cooked to perfection. Hubby loves the meat so much he buys their steaks for home. Great service always pandemic or not.

The boneless ribeye was ok. One ny strip had and extra piece, like a tendon that was that though and not edible. Their steak knives were not sharp. The chocolate dessert was not good. served cold, felt like someone took it out of the fridge, threw it on a plate and served it. $4 for the sauce is not worth it at all. The cheesecake was awesome, highly recommend. The clams were really good.

Perfect appetizers, great service. But the steak was bland, no flavour EVEN with a Bordelaise sauce. I was shocked how mediocre the steak was like someone took the meat and cooked it without marinating or spicing it with even basic salt pepper, nothing.. The strip loin was tough clearly it was rushed, the ribeye was not medium but instead medium well, both flavorless even with theirs sauces. Used to dine frequently at the old location with my family, this being the first time I visited since they moved. I was skeptical at first but was certainly not disappointed by the end. The 22oz rib steak is still spot on. Same recipe, cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Relaxed atmosphere. It brought back so many good memories dining here. Very pleased that Black Angus is still a top Toronto steakhouse.

Had reservation for last Friday Sept 24th for outdoor dining, and was turned away due to vaccination status. There is stairs and entrance from road to get to outdoor patio from street level. They stated it was a company policy they decided on.

Banger alert, lol. This place over performed for sure. Knew it was going to be good food, but didn t expect it to be that good. Some of the over performers included the oysters, steak, and cheesecake. On the best I ever had border. Under performers were the crab cakes and cocktails.

I Went to Black angus for my birthday dinner, I had the Austrian Wagyu which was delicious, before my steak I ordered the tiger shrimp I was very excited when I ordered but quite disappointed when it arrived, it came on a plate with 4 very small shrimp and a cocktail sauce not what I was expecting at all. The presentation was pretty boring as well, they also give you an option of one side but I feel like it s not enough they should offer 2 sides with the main course. For desert I had the Cheese cake which was delicious as well. Overall I enjoyed the dinner I feel maybe if they change one or 2 things around on the menus it will make it a lot better.

One of the most perfect places to come for lunch or dinner to enjoy delicious food and great service in stylish modern interiors. All of the above was very impressive. Unlike the underground parking experience. Sometimes some final impressions are capable to erase the charm of the first impression partially or even completely.

Great place for an upscale evening. The decor and the ambience were really well thought out. The menu selection and quality of the food was top notch. We had a really good waitress who took care of our party of 8 very well and we ending up staying two hours longer than planned and missed our other evening engagement. Other people compare this place to the keg but there is really no comparison as the Black Angus is unique and worth the premium.

The ambiance in the new location is beautiful, service is ok depends on server. Now the food is a hit or miss depending on kitchen staff not consistent. I have been going to this Restaurant off & on for over 25 years.

This was our first visit to the new location, what a disappointment the service was sub-par we were treated as if we were a bother. A drink was sent back because of the spices it was undrinkable, but remained on the bill. The portions were small and expensive, we will not return, so sad for such a great brand.

Candice is the best server ever! We had a pretty of 11 including 2 babys 1 toddler and 1 autistic child and she handled us like a pro! The stakes couldve been cooked a bit more and their garlic bread was stale...but other than that, I enjoyed the food.

Service was pleasant and attentive, but the rib eye was very tough and didnt taste very good. I threw half of it out, which is highly unusual for someone who would rarely leave any steak uneaten, especially at such a high price. The quality of food in general did not justify the expense, and the empty dining area during a Sunday dinner service would seem to indicate that Im not the only one who thinks so. It was a disappointing dinner, and I would not go back.

Thank you to managers Paige/Dave and servers Dan/ Candace for making a 90th birthday celebration for my father such a great success ! They went above and beyond to accommodate a 90 year old who may have had to cancel at the last minute due to health reasons, thank you for your compassion! We had the private room with a singer/storyteller for the whole evening and what an entertaining evening it was ! Dan and Candace couldn t do enough for us, the service was outstanding and the food was just perfect! This is an incredible restaurant/room for a private event/ special occasion/ celebration. Thank you to the Black Angus for making Dad s 90th so memorable !!

Went for finances birthday, steak was pretty good. The Cheesecake was amazing.

Our server was helpful and warm. We were a table of 6 and wveryone enjoyed their meal. I had the catch of the day-basmati rice and shrimp and ut was lovely. Heads up, the portions are quite small.

I love the new location and decor for the Black Angus. Whether you are seated in the lounge/bar area or dining room the ambience and service is exceptional. This is hands down one of the best steak houses in the city. Located in the ship centre near Islington subway it can get a little busy at lunch time. Their wine selection is expansive as are the selections on the menu. Highly recommend but with great food and service you pay for it.

Attended Black Angus for the first time today. It was nice that they were open given the health crisis. The decor was modern but did not feel opulent or trendy. It was more suited to a Moxies or Joeys than a high class steakhouse. We ordered a bottle of wine and their selection is quite plentiful. There was no table bread or other snacks while you were waiting to order. We split a caesar salad. It was mediocre. I order the 22oz rib steak and my wife order the filet with crab legs. On the side we had the Brussels sprouts and asparagus. The rib steak and filet were juicy but slightly overcooked. The crab claws were tasty but the portion was small given the $20 price tag. The sides were the stars of the meal. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate cake and the creme brulee cheesecake. Skip the chocolate cake as it was basically a dry dark chocolate brownie. The cheesecake is worth a taste. Service was slow especially with so little guests. On the website, the restaurant stated that parking would be validated. When I asked our server about validation, she stated that the building is no longer allowing the restaurant to validate. The restaurant did not offer to reduce the bill by the amount of parking. We felt that this was miserly given our bill was approx. $270 with tax and tip. If you are looking for a modern steakhouse experience there are better places for less.

We have ordered curbside pick up several times over the last few months. The food is always ready on time and perfectly prepared. I would likely recommend using their curb side pick up!

Patio only. Limited seating but I was able to book last minute for an 8PM dinner on a Sunday. That said, the service was fantastic, the food came out quickly, and the street was quiet, leaving us to a very intimate and romantic evening dinner. Full Bass, 12oz New york, and shared a crab cake.

I think this restaurant is a hidden gem. Friday night and all the restaurants around Sherway were an hour wait and it was already 7:30 so my bf and I decided to drive down on Bloor. We ve always wanted to try their new location. No line ups, elegant ambience, service is great and a plus is that they also offer reservations ! No restaurants offer reservations anymore due to COVID. We ordered the seafood tower which was to dieeee for, Cremini mushrooms and truffle fries. Omg everything was so good !! Will def come back again to try the steak. Thank you Black Angus for the great Good & service :)

We did not have a reservation amd they accommodated us very quickly. The food was superb.

We had dinner here on Saturday night and it was an amazing experience. Everything starting with ceasar salad and followed by branzino and tenderloin with brussel sprouts was so delicious. Hats off to the chef! Their cheesecake is definitely a must try. Our server Deno was fantastic and made our evening even better with his great personality and recommendations. Cant wait to come back !!!!

Made patio reservations for August 28th with my friend and his daughter. Enjoyed every moment! Food and service was excellent! Great to be dining at local establishments again!!

We always come to this location, service is always good and food is delicious. Tonight exceeded our expectations. We celebrated a birthday and our waiter Dano was fantastic! He went above and beyond.The manager, David was friendly and attentive and gave us not just one but two complimentary desserts go celebrate. Were very happy and look forward to celebrating more occasions here! Highly recommend :)

Our server was incredibly friendly as well as knowledgeable about the food. The food itself was excellent and prepared exactly how we ordered. The entire restaurant was very clean and the bathrooms were no exception, although you have to be quick or the motion sensing lights will turn off on you!

The seafood tower was overcooked and overpriced. Truffle fries tasted pretty regular to me... the vibe was brutally dead. Never again!
