Blue Bovine Steak + Sushi House is Liberty Entertainment Group's 2023 project in the iconic Union Station. Blue Bovine combines the traditional steakhouse with the traditional Japanese sushi house to fashion a distinctly modern dining experience. Combination of custom elements, such as exclusively designed Canadian maple wood furniture, manufactured in Toronto with bespoke artwork, handcrafted lighting details, and a warm colour palette of deep reds, seawater blues and layers of white to reflect Toronto's four seasons. Honouring the integrity of local and natural elements, the restaurant's ethos is expressed through the commitment to local menu ingredients on the plate and local and natural material honesty in the design.
OMG. We were blown away by the amazing service and the delicious food. We have been to pretty much all the great steakhouses in Toronto and this one takes the cake! We could not have asked for a better time. We highly recommend Blue Bovine + Sushi hands down. The best steakhouse in Toronto!
A bit on the pricey side but the steak and sushi were excellent considering I was paying more for the experience. The service was good: server made good suggestions and I loved the atmosphere.
It was suppose to open at 3pm, doors were closed. A bit of confusion around our reservation….not the best greeting. Was seated next to the steak freezer so the ambience was minimal. Food and server were top knotch. The dinner was very close to what Jacobs and blue at casa loma have. Overall decent but certainly pricey.
Blue Bovine in Toronto offers a unique blend of steak and sushi and I heard great things so had to stop by. Haban, our waitress, was attentive and charming, while Jacob, the manager, truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. We were pleasantly surprised when Eugene, a sushi artist, personally came by and presented his delicious and unique creations. He even took the time to chat with us and, give a tour of where the magic happens. The restaurant's decor is elegant, featuring tasteful digital art and sculptures that were carefully curated. The lovely fireplace adds a cozy and welcoming feeling. Overall, a great place to visit after work. For my friend and I, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I look forward to returning for their happy hour that we were told is a must try.
Me and my friends were loyal customers of Blue Bovine Steak + Sushi House since the opening in 2024. Recently we had an unpleasant experience with happy hour not being presented within the stated time on their website. We didn't have a chance to enjoy the food. Happy hour drinks and shots (which I don't even like) are not why people go to such places. Photos attached are from past visits.
Blue Bovine Steakhouse offers a solid dining experience for steak lovers. The menu features a variety of cuts that are cooked well, and the wine list is extensive enough to pair nicely with your meal. I particularly enjoyed the beef tartar—it was fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The seafood tower was also a standout, featuring an impressive selection of fresh shellfish. However, the service was a bit slower than expected, which took away from the overall experience. The sommelier, while knowledgeable, could benefit from a more approachable demeanor, as the attitude came off as a bit off-putting. Despite these minor setbacks, it’s a good spot for a satisfying meal, especially if you’re a fan of well-prepared steaks and fine wine.
We came here after work for a short happy hour gathering. All of the staff we came across were very welcoming from the moment we walked in. Our server was very attentive and always had the right timing to check in with us to see how we were doing. All of the servers who brought us the orders were very knowledgeable and explained every item thoroughly. Drinks were great, oysters were very fresh, hand cut fries and beef tartare were flavourful, and the house bread was very good. We will definitely come back.
New Happy Hour Menu Shareables $10 to $15 Half Price Cocktails Weekdays 3 pm to 6 pm Weekends 4 pm to 6 pm Beautiful contemporary interior. Great vibes and delicious food and cocktails. Must visit!!
We arrived as walk-in from an event. Our server for the party of three was Jesse and he was absolutely amazing. He was courteous and made excellent suggestions for all parties tastes. We were welcomed with the best ambiance, music and friendly smiles. We had the sea bass, grilled prawns, the burger and lobster bisque( the table side pour made it even more delicious). I had The Last Lychee and delectable. Next time we will do the sushi bar as it looked amazing. Thanks again Jesse
Been here a few time when in TO for a show or event. Always had a great time here, wonderful staff and delicious food and drinks.
Had a few hiccups to start my experience but management quickly corrected it and made our night perfect!! Atmosphere is great and its fairly new still so I will definitely be back and love the table side Caesar and u the sashimi was so fresh and presented very well. Wine list is also very well out together with amazing options.
Robert was amazing! And great food
Slow service. 3 people with us had upset stomachs after eating the suchi.
Corporate lunch for 8 people. Service wasn t what s expected of a high end steakhouse. Drinks that arrived was not what was ordered. Steak was good, but again, nothing spectacular. Sushi was the saving grace of the experience.
Nice new steak house in Union station partly owned by maple leaf Mitch Marner. Great atmosphere decent service and food. Considering there are so many new great steak houses I was little disappointed in the food it was good but not great given the price. Service was ok I had to keep trying to hail down a waiter several times. They have happy hour specials but only served in the lounge until 6pm and not on game days and some concerts.
Super overpriced food in a pretty douchey setting. Great service though.
They include tip when you are at 6 or more people so dont expect any service after they bring you the main course. Food was pretty good all that aside.
Food is nothing to rave about. Personally, the food is over priced. The Keg and other steak houses offer the same quality for a better price. If you dont want to pay $8.50 for flat bottled water, you need to be specific. We did the pre-fix menu. I suggest doing the family style, this way you can order and try a variety of different foods. What stood out for us is the atmosphere good music and dim lighting. There are tiny table lamps that are useful when you need more light. Our mains were not timed properly and it ended up coming out while we were still eating our appetizers. I probably wont do dinner there again.
Dined here for a corporate holiday dinner. Everything from the steak, to the lobster, sushi, and dessert was excellent. Customer service was very attentive.
Fantastic steaks, perfectly cooked and flavorful. Probably the best table side Caesars weve had (rivaled Jacobs). Deserts were good, albeit way too large. Issue was the service, which was some of the worse weve had across just about every steakhouse in the city. Would go without seeing our waitress for 15-30 minutes at a time, and it took over 5 hours for the meal. Being slapped with a 20% tip at the end, with no ability to adjust it, was frustrating to put it mildly. Apparently its a policy for groups of 6 or more.
Food really good and different will go again for slider and fries and oyster is good
I want to love this place but its missing something. Ive been three times in a month and its the same issues. You arrive and theyre busy talking to someone like the dj. They take your name print the little ticket then disappear to see if the table is available. Minutes later they return and when they walk you in tables are available everywhere. Ordering is quick a little too quick but later your waiter disappears. The washrooms are disgusting. Theyre communal but have male and female signage. The clientele are such pigs men are pissing with the doors open and looking into the womens washrooms urine is on the seats. For these prices get an attendant. Unfortunately I think that the design leads to an undistinguished separation from drinkers and dinners that drags the entire experience down.
Mr. Wonderful is not so wonderful. Tableside cesar...3 out of 10 Drink service 1 out of 10. Dont bother trying their signature old fashioned. Sweet and boring. Steak. Ultra rare. When med rare ordered. Stacking own plates for collection. Overall disappointing. Went to Jacobs and co the night after. It was absolutely amazing BLUE BOVINE IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE
Had a great experience at blue bovine stopped by the bar to check it out and my bartender Jason Forgie gave me a fantastic experience, ended up staying for a couple drinks (all the cocktails were great),amazing atmosphere and excellent service from Jason, I would highly recommend.
Went here with my family. For a place to charge $150 minimum for a meal and not clean the bathrooms is crazy, bathrooms smell of piss and they are using 1 ply toilet paper, I could not use these bathrooms, I might as well use a public restroom, basically the same thing. Go to Jack Astors, a far better place for a FAR cheaper price, it is sad to make a statement like this but this is how poor the experience is at Blue Bovine, you are paying for the environment.
Great mix of sushi and beef. Not too loud. Great art and design to enjoy while you wait for the food. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free soy sauce available
Great ambience and good food. Great for an after office meet up with friends and take advantage of the Happy Hour.
Very nice. Our server Rob was excellent. The qualoty of the food was awesome. Definitely recommend. Price point was well worth it.
Booked this restaurant on a whim based on proximity. We were greeted with friendly staff and plenty of smiles. As we were seated, we were informed our seating limit was 1 1/2 hour. Clearly, turning tables for a prophet is the name of the game as opposed to providing an enjoyable dining experience for the customers. The place was noisy and chaotic, with staff running around everywhere and in all directions. The table beside us was spaced a mere inches apart, which made it difficult getting up from the table for anyone seated along the row. Despite being told we had a time restriction when we were seated, we were informed the bar was backed up and our specialty coffees would be ready 15 minutes after we would be served our desserts. In the interim of waiting for our coffees to enjoy with our dessert, the server asked if there would be anything else we wanted and shortly after brought us the bill. Before we could finish enjoying our dessert and coffee, two different staff members came by with the interac machine. A very distasteful gesture in my opinion. We were seated from 5 to 6:30. For 2 of us, the bill was $350. I ordered flat water to start and then switched it to sparkling water and was charged twice for water, despite they cost the same and the bottle wasnt left with the table. The steak was surprisingly tough to cut through as it was aged. I actually thought I was given a dull knife, but my girlfriend was experiencing the same issue. Definitely never going back!!!
Oh my frick that was good steak and Sushi! Thank you to our servers who pampered us and even gave us some free desert to go! You are sooooooooooo loved. Keep shining in this crazy world Edit: M. and A. were especially kind to us, and truly the pinnacle of good service and care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. P.S. I kinda jostled the desert on the walk back to the hotel, which is why it looks like that. Hollay thats a big piece of cheesecake Thank you for the bags as well! I didnt even take a proper look at it until we left - I love it!!! Second Edit: look at that slice of cheesecake!! Awe yeah!
Food was okay, nothing special. Service was great and very accommodating ! Would I come back? Not really, its a type of restaurant where you go one time to experience and call it a day
Service was nice; waitress was okay and the hosts were lovely, but if you re looking for a happy hour to enjoy after work, note that happy hour does not apply on game nights. This is not documented anywhere at all and they do not inform you at the door, which is a shame. The menu offers some appetizers but this is not the right location if you re looking for a variety of light, shareable plates to enjoy with a group.
Go for the vibe not the food
Food was delicious, and the service was even better. Our waitress was amazingly accommodating and kept us informed on items pertaining to our dietary restrictions.
I really enjoyed a dinner here recently. Such a beautiful new venue at the historic union station. I had the sushi tower signature dish and oysters and both dishes were amazing. One of the best quality fish I ever had and beautiful presentation. All servers were wonderful, especially the mature gentleman with great hair (I forgot his name unfortunately). Highly recommend.
Went for Happy Hour, menu was not honoured as it was a concert night. Tried to order from the prix fix menu, but was not allowed to share that with others at the table. Disappointed and went to another restaurant nearby for dinner and dessert.
Ive been a loyal customer of Blue Bovine Steak + Sushi House since it opened in Spring 2024, frequently enjoying their happy hour from 4-6 pm with half-price drinks and tasty snacks. But after my recent visit on November 6, I won t be returning. I made a reservation for six through OpenTable, choosing the lounge area to ensure we could enjoy happy hour. Upon arrival, we were seated near the bar. However, when our server presented the menu, the happy hour menu was missing. I asked about it, and he explained that we were seated in the dining room, not the lounge, so happy hour didn t apply. After requesting to move, he returned, offering drinks at happy hour prices but no food. He said they weren t supposed to offer happy hour that day, though I d confirmed there was no game at Scotiabank Arena. The confusion continued when we tried to order the prix fixe menu to share. He insisted it could only be ordered individually, despite there being no clear indication that it was per person. I asked to speak with the manager who also refused, suggesting we order appetizers instead. When I asked about happy hour, she explained that the concert at the arena affected their ability to offer it, which contradicted prior information. This lack of clear communication was frustrating, especially since their website still lists happy hour without any exceptions for game or concert nights. To compensate, the manager offered us a round of free shots, but that hardly made up for the poor service. Finally, a mandatory 20% tip was added to our bill for the group, which felt undeserved given the subpar experience. I ve decided to take my business elsewhere. With many great steakhouse options nearby, like Black and Blue and Jacob & Co., I no longer trust Blue Bovine to provide the quality and service I once enjoyed.
Had dinner there last night. Ashley was great, the atmosphere and service was as expected for a place like this (GREAT)! Food was exceptional, we had the pre fix menu which had lots of options. Garlic Mash and the sea bass was perfectly cooked. If you are in the core this is definitely the place to dine, staff were friendly and food is more than great! We will be visiting again soon Ashley! Anthony
Fantastic restaurant. Food was top notch and service was very good. Highly recommended. Thank you for the great night.
I m finding all of these new steakhouses can t cook steak properly. The Tomahawk we had was inedible. The flavour had an awful burnt fatty taste. They serve it to you sliced up so it was cold and dry. I feel like they didn t let it rest long enough before slicing it up. The ribeye wasn t much better but at least I could eat more of it. Oh, their idea of medium rare is blue and still beating. Black and Blue, and even Jacob s was not much better. Definitely not worth the money. Better to play it safe and go to the Keg or the more established places like Bardis or Barbarian. You will enjoy them more.
I m so happy to finally experience this fantastic restaurant. Robert and Danny were gracious hosts and gave the most satisfying recommendations. If you haven t tried the menu, service and ambience, this should be on your bucket list. Will definitely visit here again Food
Quiet on a weekday but amazing staff and great music.
Food is nice and our waitress Mariam is the best !!! Definitely come back !!!
Robert was the best hostess and would definitely be back! The food was amazing! The lavender haze drink was my favourite!
Best steak EVER! Got the Canadian ribeye as I want to support our farmers even though they have US and Wagu options and WOW -melt in your mouth and could almost cut it with a fork. Also had the Caesar which was made to perfection table-side. Service was superb even on a Friday evening and very attentive staff. We will be back again next Leafs game and looking forward to trying the sushi options. Good job Mitch and Mr Wonderful who said he d never invest in a restaurant -but this one is a winner!
We went there last night and it was magnificent. The sushi was the best Ive ever had and the portions were a really good and big size. The service was the out of all, Robert was a great guy an he was very educated on each dish and how it will be served, he also recommended a dessert and it was very delicious. He also had a really professional behaviour. The atmosphere was very nice and neat, the lighting and the architecture was a piece of art and the seats were really comfortable. Overall this was one of my favourite places. Thank you
Had the most lovely experience <3 Robert providing service that has you talking about for days! He overheard while tending to us that it was my birthday and brought out a birthday treat <3 Thank you Robert for a great time!
WOW! Where to start.. from the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. They showed us to our table right away and sat us near a window with a wonderful view of the city. Our server Amy was fantastic. She made wonderful recommendations and made us feel so special. The music was at the perfect volume as we were able to have a conversation without having to shout across the table. So many staff members checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying everything, including the manager. They gave us a small gift for our anniversary which was SO appreciated! And of course, the food, was unbelievable. From the sushi, to the steak, to the gnocchi, to the coconut pie - everything was 10/10. Thank you to Blue Bovine for making our anniversary dinner so memorable. We cannot wait to come back!
Expected higher quality food based on the price point.
Great food! Great service! Shout out to Robert
One of the top sushi/steak restaurants in the area. IG: fahedfitness Food : 5/5
Just a warning, happy hour is only days where there are no events going on at Scotiabank arena, which is basically every other night now leafs/raptors are back. This is not called out on their website at all, and we went specifically for happy hour to try their food and sample a variety of things to see about coming back for a nice dinner. They forced us to get regular menu, went significantly over our budget and didnt get to try much. If looking for a happy hour option, theres others around that are better and more transparent. Service was OK, food was good, but just how things went down, wont be back.
Bartenders are cool peeps, drinks are cool too
Blown away by my experience here. Firstly I want to mention the incredible service provided by Harry who waited on us all night as well as Danny who made for a memorable night. The whole team deserves recognition as the team service was on point. Every member of staff greeted us upon entry and wished us a goodnight when it was time to leave. We must have had at least 10 members of staff deliver our food, refill our drinks and bus our table. Tremendous service. We often like to dine at Michelin guide restaurants and I can honestly say the level of service and warmth from the staff exceeded that of even some of the best fine dining in Toronto. All of the food was exceptional. My personal favourite being the braised short rib ravioli. Simply sublime. We ordered the potatoes gratin, multiple sushi rolls, and the tartare. The staff were so accommodating and even provided crostini for the tartare upon request. We also indulged in the jumbo prawns which for once in Toronto- the flavour was equal to the brilliance of the presentation. The drinks were great, the baked Alaska to finish off the night was beautifully presented. Go here to celebrate, take a date here, come here for a work meeting. You ll be happy you did. A rare glowing review from myself.
Happy hour menu was a bit disappointing with some items being saltier than it should be including Togarashi Grilled Strimp Skewer and Big Eye Tune Tartare. The sliders and the beef options were great. Oysters were over the top in terms of presentation taking up half the table. Decor and service were great as well as the good price for the cocktails that would not be worth the full price though. Dinner menu seems to be more well received.
Dropped in with my Mrs for happy hour . We sat at the bar and Dan was our bartender. The food was really good , but I have to say the drinks were even better . Dan is a master at his craft . The bourbon sour and the old fashioned were amazing . His espresso martini is top shelf . Thanks again for the great service. We will definitely be back .
The sushi was incredibly tasty. Even the wasabi tastes different. I highly suggest the sushi tower and hot stone wagyu. The dessert portions are very big, order at your own risk. :) Food
Stopped in yesterday for a happy hour drink, got a Ketel One Martini with olives. The bartender asked what kind and said he had blue cheese stuffed ones. Got that and proceeded to drink a martini with too much vermouth but didn t complain. Drank my drink, asked for the bill. The martini was $15 but to my astonishment they charged me an additional $5 for the olives. Are you kidding me these weren t anything special in fact they came out of a bottle not even stuff by the staff. I thought olives are part we ll know condiment for this drink. This place will not last with that kind of happy hour cost. Terrible!
Luca bartender was great. Apple pie was fantastic. 10 / 10. Cannot wait to go again!
No birthday recognition/options/communication or reply to special request from advanced booking online notes. Didnt even acknowledge that the birthday was not to pay and their reaction at the time of delivering bill was a cover face and ran away. Not only Did they not feel like a special occasion, On top of that the food was so subpar and socking. 1steak was undercooked 130 bucks. It was cut to share so they had the chance to see it and have cooked it more seeing how raw it was... 1steak outside over seared/over cooked ruining the double steak featured evening for first timer experience. Palenta squares were mushy and flavorless with side mayo. Unimpressive. Tuna tartar was basic and cheese bread balls with un salted whiped butter was below basic... 400 bucks experience was not worth it unfortunately. ... Maybe more as a meeting place to have some drinks and small apps or steak to say you had diff types but nothing special aside from the interesting deco and some fun people if they are in the mood to meet new ppl. Live djs some females didnt look like they had much actual mixing needed to be done in the later of dinner shift.. maybe diff when night time comes because it was pretty empty for a Saturday evening after 8pm ! Sorry bovine we do not reccommend this to people for a fullfilling dining experience but recommend it for a different crowd/experience for another niche of people. Best of luck and have fun Parking: If theres room you can google areas for spot paid only.
Came here for happy hour and thought the cocktail prices were quite reasonable for the HH promo. Some items from HH were worth getting while others were a bit of a miss. Would still come back for HH for sure
Selling the owners. Only the drinks are good, because not made by restaurant. The price and service doesnt match. Only Christina is good.
Loved it. Must try.
Really good food and service. Every dish was made so well. Recommend Shrimp tempura maki, thinly sliced wagyu on hot stone, and the steaks of course. Short rib ravioli was also good. Great service by everyone
Tucked away in train station. Expensive steakhouse but excellent food. Take a client here before a hockey or baseball game.
There were about a half dozen issues that negatively affected our meal and our evening, the likes of which should never happen at fine dining establishments. This establishment can therefore not be considered upscale. Clean up your act folks or you will soon be done... Our first time there, was hoping for better as we frequent the area. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back.
Came here for my friends birthday the other night. Beautiful place and atmosphere. Our service from our waiter was great. Every single dish is well presented and tastes equally as good. It is on the pricey side however you definitely get your moneys worth. I highly recommend.
Awesomeee place, The staff is very accommodating and the seating is proper. The food is top notch actually enjoy your meal to the fullest without over doing as the portions are perfect leaving you satisfied but not exhausted after even with apps main and dessert. Definitely a place to go to repeatedly even for their great service. The Hot stone wagyu really entertaining.
Borys is the most amazingggg server , 10/10 recommend. the food and atmosphere is amazing but borys makes the experience 100x better. definitely recommend!!!!
I came here to celebrate a birthday and borys and Jacob are amazing servers, they definitely make the experience so much better. If you come here I definitely recommend asking for them to be your servers !!!!
10 out of 10. Borys and Jacob were great they took care of me. Whenever you can ask for them and they ll take care of you.
High class place with low class amenities
Our dinner and experience was outstanding! We had Harry as our server and he was exceptional, so personable and attentive. Also a quick shout out to the lovely Victoria you were just wonderful. Highly recommend!
Exquisite experience & atmosphere . Food was divine & price so worth the quality of food . Waiter Dan oh my thank you for your great customer service & giving us a delightful & warm experience . A must go experience
Had a great experience from our knowledgeable server to the presentation of the food. Very tasty and we were glad to take our clients to a nice upscale restaurant close to Union.
The staff was terrific. Atmosphere terrific. Food was not so great. Lukewarm, undercooked fish. Side dishes great.
OMG, I was a little skeptical about the service and what dinner would be like sitting at the bar but I was blown away by everything. The quality of everything from start to finish was outstanding and I can t wait to return. A core memory for sure.
Thanks for being open when your hour say so!
Amazing dinner experience. Fantastic service and the food was fabulous. The Caesar salad was made fresh, including the dressing and the food was so delicious. My steak was perfection! All the wait staff were friendly and very attentive. Definitely have to return.
Amazing cocktails, food and ambience. I also loved the artwork enough to buy a piece for my house from the same artist.
Not going to lie, I had no idea this place existed until a close friend of mine took me here for dinner last night. I must say, I haven t been able to stop thinking about the food throughout the last 24 hours every dish was absolutely delicious. The staff were pleasant (lovely Frank served us) and the bartender was wonderfully charming, helpful and knowledgeable - Francisco is the best!!!! Cannot wait to return. Thank you, Bovine.
Beautiful restaurant, great food & drink options. Visited for dinner and a group reservation, each experience was pleasant. Would certainly return again.
Went on a Friday night. It wasnt that busy. The service was amazing. The food was delicious and unique.
Wait staff is inattentive. Way too much management just gazing around. The sides are very much so underwhelming. Cocktails are average and something is off with the cheese puffs they serve. Overall not the best dining experience in Toronto. Tried to give it another chance showed up at 10 for dinner when their kitchen is suppose to be open until 12 and they told me the kitchen was closed. Clearly they are having trouble staying open I doubt they will last longer than a year. Changing my review to one star
Got off the go train and was starving for a decent lunch. We were guided to blue bovine in union station. The place looked legit until our server arrived at the table. Never in my life have I gone to restaurant, especially one that claims to be high end and had a server that talked about himself the whole time at our table. Can t remember his name but he had a shaved head. What a horrible experience. For heavens sake is it that hard to find good staff these days. Go back to waitering school bawd!
Feels like you are opening the doors to the Paris Casino in Vegas.. this part of Union station is going to be a classy entertainment hub.. its charming opening the 100yr old doors and coming into the BEAUTIFUL MODERN LOCATION.. Place is really stunning.. great for sports and entertainment as well. Its hip and sassy with the DJ.. price point is quite reasonable..$10 Stella is GREA... Food is very good and the SUSHI adds another dimension to the option over a reg Steak House.. service is attentive.. many instagramable spots throughout.. and the Wall Street like BULL is one to mark the spot outside.. check is out.. its A NEW TORONTO FAVORITE.. Tomahawk with Cognac for the group sharing or making a show.. $450 but again its for the spectacle ... Ashley Tollis the AGM was very kind to us.. sent us over ORANGE shots when the Edmonton Oilers WON the game.. it was SPECIAL
If you never want to look at other sushi restaurants the same way, this is the place. The sushi, was unbelievable - I don t even have the words to describe, the freshness, the finesse, it will leave your palate unlike anything. Our waiter was so knowledgeable, so nice, the steaks were also mouth melting delicious! IT S A MUST EAT HERE.
I went there to try their lunch menu. And the foods were disappointing. Octopus was overcooked and steak was very chewy. And the server did not even know how to place chopsticks properly.
Unique space, food and drinks well done!
Great spot for a business dinner with great food, service and an event to have a clear conversation. Hot stone wagyu is the best appetizer. Tried a few of the steaks but the porterhouse is the standout. Broccolini, mushrooms and mashed potatoes are solid side options. The potato gratin was the standout, but only if you like a strong truffle flavour. Duck fat fries were good, but not as good as some of the other steakhouses in Toronto. Sommelier service was great and loved the giant decanter they pour with. Desserts are a must have. Crème brûlée is good, the molten cake is delicious but get the baked Alaska if you want the show. Vegetarian options: Some salads you can get without meat. Side dishes and vegetarian sushi options
Steak was good. Sushi was alright. Found it very expensive. Better steakhouses out there. Atmosphere is mid at best. We ordered the crepes dessert and it took the lady almost 30 minutes to come. We decided we didnt want it and she was visibly upset that she dragged the cart out. Told her we were waiting for our server to cancel but she didnt come by either. Save your money and go somewhere else
What a diamond in the rough. This restaurant fully satisfies every sense of the customer. The amazing team of service staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and endearing. The decore and ambiance was pronounced by the incredible live DJ, Mason. Every song he played that night kept me in my seat a little bit longer, and for one more drink. Finally the food was top teir. I had a delicious 16oz. Ribeye steak cooked rare to perfection, sourced locally from Ontario with the duck fat fries. My wife enjoyed a heavenly, creamy lobster bisque for an appetizer and finished with an incredible sesame encrusted ahi tuna entrée. We both enjoyed an incredible house cocktail created with great attention to detail. Finally we split the best creme brulee weve ever had. It was an experience I plan to enjoy again soon.
I celebrated my birthday here last night and had high expectations coming in but was sadly disappointed. The service here is terrible. The waitress didn t engage with our table at all and the customer service was awful. She barely worked our table as we had to keep looking for her to get her attention. It took 3.5 hours for our food to come and on top of that, it came out cold, undercooked & basic. When we expressed our concerns to someone (not even our waitress because she was no where to be found) they didn t even get a manager to come by to check in and see how we re doing. Or if that was the manager she acted as she didn t care. She came back with a drink on the house to smooth us over . Very very disappointing and unorganized. It was my birthday and they couldn t even bring me out a dessert on the house. I was better off going to The Keg worst birthday experience I ve ever had.
WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My son and daughter-in-law were celebrating their first wedding anniversary and decided to try Blue Bovine on Saturday, April 13, 2024. The night prior, my husband and I drove downtown to check out the wine list (as it wasn t posted on the website). We were greeted by a manager (can t remember if his name was Patrick or Philip). We explained that our son and daughter-in-law were coming for dinner the following night to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary and we pre-purchased a bottle of Barolo and 2 glasses of Moët rosé and requested they let our son and DIL know it was a gift from his parents. We also gave him a card and asked it be at their table as they are seated. We also left a 20% tip to make sure the server was compensated for the service. The evening of April 13th shortly after their scheduled reservation, we received a text message from my son and DIL thanking us for the card! My husband and I looked at one another and immediately called the restaurant to make sure they hadn t forgotten the champagne and the bottle of wine as it was strange they were only thanking us for the card and not the actual gift! I explained the situation to the person who answered (I think Fernando was his name) and he insisted that there is a note on the reservation so he s sure the server is aware of the champagne and wine. He was not at all reassuring me so I asked to speak with a manager. Vincent comes to the phone and said they should have everything. I asked him to check their table and see what s been served and after waiting on hold for 8 minutes, he came back and said everything is OK now . Now ? What is that supposed to mean since both Fernando and himself had already told me they had the champagne and wine!! The following morning my son called to tell us how their dinner went There was a card on the table from us wishing them a happy anniversary. The server took a cocktail order instead of serving them the champagne we pre-ordered which BTW, was not what my DIL requested. Why did the server take cocktail orders when we had specifically requested they receive the champagne as soon as they were seated! To make matters worse, the server had already taken their wine order and had already opened the bottle and decanted it. When I called suspecting the restaurant forgot the champagne and the wine, despite their fast talking excuses, they had ABSOLUTELY forgotten! They poured the wine they ordered back into the bottle and opened the gifted Barolo wine and poured it into glasses without decanting or allowing it to settle and air. At this point they had three glasses on the table (martinis which should never have been ordered had they offered the champagne as they should have, the champagne which I had to call and remind them to serve and the Barolo) .. come on! Unacceptable! I shouldn t have to babysit a so-called high caliber restaurant! They removed the cost of the bottle of wine that they poured back into the original bottle from their bill and let them take that bottle home. They still charged them $30 per martini because the server forgot to bring them the gifted champagne. They served an expensive bottle of Barolo without properly decanting it since they already wasted so much time and were likely frazzled and embarrassed by the whole mess up. What is even more sickening is that their meal including cocktails came to $590 once they removed the cost of the wine. This does not include the $380 for the two glasses of champagne and wine that was forgotten had we not called and insisted they check to make sure the guests got our gift. That s a total of $970 for a couple. That is utterly appalling! We have dined many times at Blue Blood and Don Alfonso and never paid anything close to that nor have we ever received such poor service! I wrote to the restaurant last week and haven t received the courtesy of a reply!
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary with our baby, the food was absolutely delicious. However, our lunch was soured by our bald headed waiter who chased us out of the restaurant because he thought we did not pay, because he did not check the billfold for our cash payment. I have never encountered such buffoonery ( who doesn t check the billfold) absolutely shocking behaviour.
ACTUAL HONEST REVIEW; Ok so after reading some of the reviews on this restaurant I have to tell you that some of these reviews are absolutely ridiculous. BLUE BOVINE is HANDS DOWN the BEST steakhouse/sushi restaurant in the city. My brother organized a birthday party for me (8ppl) and it did NOT disappoint. We booked the private dining room and upon arrival we were welcomed by Valentina (hostess) and Moza (supervisor) with the warmest reception. We had some cocktails in the lounge where we were served by Kamilla and Kate, they were so fun and made us feel welcome to start the night. Then we were bought to the private dining room where I was surprised with 3 dozen roses on the table for my birthday and candles lit up throughout the room (thank you Moza!). We had Steaks, Sushi and all kinds of appetizers .a little of everything on the menu. Our server was Andre and WOW did he ever create an amazing dining experience for us. His personality, menu knowledge and recommendations were 10/10! The Sommelier Jacques spoke to us for a few minutes about our wine preferences and picked the perfect wine pairings for us! Chef Nick came to check in on our dining experience and everyone was super happy to meet him as well as thank him for creating a wonderful dining experience. The food was absolutely incredible, the staff are super fun and know how to create guests for life. Orion the GM came in near the end to thank us for choosing Blue Bovine and we had a great conversation with him about our amazing experience. Overall I can confidently say that Blue Bovine was our favourite restaurant in the city. We come from Philadelphia and we had the pleasure of dining at a few hot spots like Sotto Sotto, Charisma and LouixLouis. Blue Bovine was hands down the best of our weekend. If you re looking for a fun night out with amazing food, it s Blue Bovine. Thank you so much EVERYONE at Blue Bovine who had a hand in our night from servers to assistants to management and hostesses and bartenders. WE WILL BE BACK!
Great dinner Saturday May 11th. Service from start to finish was impeccable. 5 star!!!. Scott, Panucho, Patrick, Jackie, Judy and Silvana. We will be back.
Stopped by for a drink the other day and it was fantastic. Love the vibes in here. The cocktails are fantastic, staff are super friendly, and the DJ was playing all the right music. Will 100% be coming back.
Really cool spot at the very east end of Union Station. Stopped in on the way to the train and had a few drinks. The decor is very nice and upscale. The service was impeccable. We did not have any food but the dishes that went by looked fantastic. Will definitely be back to enjoy the amazing steak selection.
Amazing food, excellent service all over a perfect evening
Wonderful experience, delicious food combined with a perfect service
The service was amazing, unfortunately the food was not. Ordered the Tommy Hawk steak cooked at the table and it was just plain awful. Nothing more appetizing than watching your supper cooked with a blow torch and then smothered with Hennessy . The meat was fatty and tasted like propane. Waiter and serving staff were great. Drinks are overpriced . Sides are tiny . Better value at Harbor 60 or even The Keg.
We had dinner on Mar.23/24 and the experience was absolutely incredible! The staff was very informative regarding the menu. A wonderful culinary experience. The vibe with the Dj and beautiful restaurant design made for a fun night out. Compliments to Chef Sean and Chef Na who took care of everything. The Sushi experience was amazing as well as the steak entrees. Thank you to all the staff, definitely a 10/10
Our group of eleven invaded this space for a business meeting a few nights ago and were impressed with the entire experience. Great vibe in this new iteration from the BLUE BLOOD (CASA LOMA). The food was incredible. We sampled the sushi which was brilliantly curated. The entres were palate pleasing. A tonne of steaks all cooked perfectly. Dessert was mouth watering. The cocktails were as described and over the top for taste and complexity. The staff buzzed around us making sure everything was done correctly and to our pleasing. Kudos the team.
Went for the first time last night, highly impressed. Service was top notch, Somme s advice on a wine pairing was excellent. Atmosphere was great too, very modern yet comfortable. Steak house vibes with energy.
Had a wonderful dinner with friends and we cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. The food was incredible, the service was fantastic and a big shout out to Chef Sean who checked to make sure everything was perfect. We will all be returning again and again.
We had dinner there on Mar. 23/24 to celebrate my husband s birthday. It was a wonderful evening from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I can t tell you enough how much we enjoyed it. The service and atmosphere were perfect. This is now our new favourite restaurant!!! Can t wait to go back!
My darling wife treated me to a fine birthday dinner experience at The Blue Bovine. I wasnt disappointed. From start to finish, appetizers to dessert the experience was just incredible. I can hardly wait to come again.
I met up with a friend at this place and she picked a great place! I had the burger and fries and it was really tasty! The fires were much larger than Im used to, which was a wonderful surprise. I finished with the cheese cake, which was excellent. Sever was excellent and took good care of us, as well as being knowledgeable. Prices are typical of finer dining in downtown Toronto, so expect higher but still reasonable prices. But you get good quality food in exchange, so Im not complaining! Local was excellent, though I recommend some more obvious exterior signage outside Union Station, as out of town people may not be able to find it right away.
Myself and my wife ate at the Blue Bovine 03/23/2024. We had an amazing time, food was absolutely wonderful, the appetizers were amazing and they are not short on the wine selection. The staff was there at all the right times and answered all our questions and gave great suggestions. We had the pleasure of meeting the executive chef Sean and his knowledge of the food was exceptional! Definitely going back. Great place to stop if your attending any games in Toronto.
Food and atmosphere are good, however, for the price and caliber this place is trying to be, its not there. I told the waiter my allergies and asked for them to modify the dish to accomodate, however, they did not causing me to have an allergic reaction. We told the waiter and manager and were SHOCKED that the item they made a mistake on was still on the bill. We paid everything as it was, but commented to the waiter you guys still charged us for that? and she didnt even care to make anything right. Disappointed and this experience alone makes me not ever want to go back. Theres so many high-end restaurants in Toronto that appreciate the business more and have better service.
Chef Sean never disappoints. Consistently the best steaks, perfectly prepared. Ashley and team are always welcoming, professional, A+ service.
Taylor was amazing tonight! She provided exceptional service!! She was knowledgeable about the menu and romanced the menu like no other! Keep her around and we will be back!!
The O Leary s empanadas (dumplings as they call it!) are a crime against humanity the most mid food experience in the city. Do yourself a favour, don t go there.
Lovely ambiance and delicious drinks! Amazing service by Ana!
Service was great. Atmosphere is great. Taylor was very personable and made an effort to remember our names. Sean was very lovely also. We arrived for a 6pm reservation. It got very busy after that. Petite bémol no manager came to is to ask how our experience was how we enjoyed our meal. It s located upper level at union station. We will try their sister restaurant Blue Blood.
We went here for my boyfriend s birthday dinner with his parents and his brother and wife. It was divine! Our waiter Reuben was so knowledgeable and he recommended great items as well as spectacular wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our culinary experience from start to finish. I highly recommend the sashimi and the wagyu American steak. I also really enjoyed the duck fat fries. Delish! Also the coconut cream pie was divine and very unique to any other I have tried. We also really liked the sommelier and had yummy wines. Plus the classic table-side Caesar salad was a real treat!! And for my boo s birthday, he got a branded wine stopper! How nice :) We would return for sure!!
Fantastic steak and appetizers. Highly recommend. Atmosphere was great. Decor was also very nice.
General consensus as a party of 12: Food was mediocre at best, some menu items lacked flavour (the burger), others were overly decadent (lobster mac and cheese), over salted (Cornish hen). In our entire party it was noted the Octopus was the best of the worst. Would not return as the price does not match the quality especially in a city with so many options.
Food was decent, tomahawk is overpriced for what it is. Sushi tower needs work. Jaya was amazing nonetheless.
Went here for the first time before attending a Leafs game. Amazing atmosphere, great food and drinks, and amazing service.
Not what I have expected for the overall value and experience. I have been here a few times during happy hour with my friends both food and service was great. My son turned 18 yesterday and he saw people posting on tik tok and requested to come here for his birthday dinner. He was so looking forward to celebrate at the restaurant. I have booked in advance and stated we are celebrating his 18th birthday. At least you can do is to say happy birthday when we ordered him a dessert for the young man. No one did, I mentioned to our server it was his birthday when she was introducing herself 15 mins after we sat down. Our server was nice and hard working but she was busy taking care 5 tables. It was like going to a local Kelsey s. I see a lot of staff and management working but didn t add up to be good services. We had to wave down staff to refill water. Dining room service is not as good as the lounge. I really think this restaurant can and will do better in creating great experience. Just didn t happened when we were there.
Such a great spot and vibe. Olivia was the best sever we had all night! Highly recommend
Good service and good price. We had the set menu option. We came three and we all really enjoyed the experience and the dishes.
I was in Toronto for the day and went for lunch. Knew about the place from Kevin OLeary YouTube channel. The food was really good, meat super tender and flavourful, fries home-made. Portion may have been a bit small but the dessert more than made up for it haha
Food was delicious!! Steak was cooked perfectly and the lobster Mac N Cheese is phenomenal. Service was amazing, our waitress Jaya was attentive and very friendly. Highly recommend!
Disappointing management.
I dont know what this restaurant is really trying to be. Is it a sportsbar? Is it a lounge? Is it a fine dining restaurant? The atmosphere is confusing. Went yesterday to check this place out and wasnt expecting so many tvs (like a sportsbar) playing the hockey game, while all in the meantime theres a DJ in the corner playing music but you barely could hear the music due to the game. The prices on the menu were as if it were a fine dining restaurant but this shouldve been more of a Jack Astors menu. (Again only because the sportsbar feel with the brightness of all the tvs). However the decore in the dining areas is very pretty, just more of a lounge vibe than a restaurant. Wasnt what I was expecting. I understand this is a new place so I have faith theyll figure out what they wanna be and find their groove.
The only drawback of our dinner last night, was the Leafs getting pummelled on thr big screens lol. The food was fantastic. My husband and I started with the scallops tabbouleh and the seafood nuji maki. Both delicious! Then we shared the 14oz American Waygu with duck fat fries. One of the best we had in the Toronto. The interior is stunning and comfortable. We started off in the dining room and thrn moved over to the loinge to watch the game. It is a very upsale bar to watch the game, but it was still very comfortable and inviting. The service was amazing, our server was Alea* (sorry if i butchered the spelling:) she was very knowledgable about the menu and gave the right amount of attention. I read reviews, and Im glad i took some of the negative ones with a grain of salt because we had a very different experience than them... or maybe they are just very miserable people .
Not going back. Not a very welcoming atmosphere. Parking: Hard to find. Food : 4/5 |
Second time coming to the establishment and has yet to disappoint. Easily one of the most unique dining experiences in the city and the best place to watch the game with some fine dining!
Incredible evening! Fantastic atmosphere and service. The sushi was next level! Really enjoyed the tour of the restaurant provided by Jaclyn at the end
Epic experience!
I have been twice and loved it both times! Great steak selection and sushi dishes were some of the best I ve had.
We came for my birthday, the food was delicious, Steak cooked perfectly and I highly recommend the roasted mushrooms. Will come back again next month, worth every penny.
BE AWARE OF FAKE REVIEWS!! I don t understand why there s so many 5 star reviews, i believe these reviews are friends of the staff / owner because this restaurant deserves less than 1 star. This restaurants service is horrible! Don t bother coming here and save yourself a couple 100$
Great dinner, fun cocktails, perfect spot for a girls night out!
Blue Bovine is the by far, the best Steakhouse! Hands down. Its in a perfect location, beautifully designed and decorated, with an amazing atmosphere. The service was incredible and is second to only the outstanding cuisine. The drink selection at the bar made for a fun night. If you are looking for a great place for date night, a business meeting, or to pre-game before watching the Leafs, Raptors, or Jays, this is the spot you need to be.
Great new Steakhouse in the heart of the city!
Was looking forward to checking out Blue Bovine and it did not disappoint. The Manager Ashley was great. Loved her energy and was very welcoming. Will go back for sure
Amazing food and vibe. Legendary Toronto venue
Lovely atmosphere and great food. The location is a welcome addition to the Toronto dining scene.
Amazing dinner , everything was perfect .
Wonderful place , amazing food and service . Thank you very much .
From the moment I stepped into Blue Bovine Steak House in Toronto, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance of the restaurant is immediately welcoming, with its elegantly rustic decor and the soft, inviting glow of the lighting setting a perfect stage for what was to become an unforgettable dining experience. Our server greeted us warmly, and their knowledge and enthusiasm for the menu were infectious. They expertly guided us through the selections, making recommendations that would delight our palates. The wine list was impressive, offering a wide range of options to complement every dish.
Everything was amazing!!!
Came here on a Monday night for our 30th anniversary...Great place and food was very good. Nice bartender and great service. Steak was cooked perfect.
Delicious food - inspired cocktails and attentive service all delivered in a stunning setting
A phenomenal night out. Our server guided us through our entire experience and we landed on the best steak weve had in a very long time. This will be a great go to spot and I cant wait to come back and try more of whats on the menu. Special thanks to the sommelier for helping us with pairing the perfect bottle of red wine.
Went for the first time last night, highly impressed. Service was top notch, Somme s advice on a wine pairing was excellent. Atmosphere was great too, very modern yet comfortable. Steak house vibes with energy. Had the sushi tower, then Waygu burger, both were delicious. I ll definitely be back!
Absolutely incredible! Delicious food, great ambience. Will be back for sure! Manager Ashley was very helpful and accommodating.
Front of the house staff should not have workers working with open hair. It s a health hazard.
Welcome addition to Union Station! So glad we checked it out. Good food - meat was actually cooked correctly. Good service - Ashley was so welcoming. Delicious drinks.
This place is beautiful and the food was great. Ashley, the manager was so welcoming and the service was great! Highly recommend.
FIVE STAR on a shark tank Mr. Cool .. all the luck in the World
Great food, atmosphere, and service (thanks Greg!!)
Torontos newest extravagant restaurant at the heart of downtown that offers exquisite food and drinks in a luxurious environment. The rich flavours in every dish we tried has left us speechless even the meat melts in your mouth! Blue Bovine Steak + Sushi House is surely setting extra high standards for Torontos high-end culinary scene!
Food is just fine. My problem was the way they treated their staff. Swearing at your staff is unacceptable no matter how special you think you are. Can t encourage such establishments, In Addition, ALL staff was ordered to write up 5 Star reviews following opening night,
The restaurant is a very beautiful space, I did think to be spending the kind of money spent I didn t need to see tv in the dining room. The server was bad, the server had the sommelier bring the wrong bottle of wine, one of the appetizers came out 5 minutes after the other came out, garlic mashed potatoes were cold. The dinner plates sat on the table dirty for about 20 minutes after we were finished eating and instead dropping off dessert menu the server came by about 15 minutes after the table was cleared to ask if we want desserts ( apple pie was amazing) no coffee or tea was offered at all. It took another 15-20 to get the bill. Over all the food was amazing but the service was not what I would expect at the price point we paid. The other thing I notice for a brand new restaurant that just open and for the amount of mangers on the floor none of them were touching tables at all. Just a disappointed birthday dinner.
Wonderful service! Food was good, especially the duck fries. Steak was perfectly cooked. The octopus and Steak tartare were a little underwhelming compared to their other sister locations .
Came here for the first time. Been trying to try this place for a while. We came to celebrate a birthday and what can I say. From the food to the vibe while entering was really good. We ordered the sushi tower and wow everything was fresh. From the sashimi to the sushi rolls everything tasted amazing. The dessert menu had a lot to offer, the cheese cake was a big sliced and tasted really good. This is an amazing addition to Unionville station.
Not your traditional steakhouse.. more like a STK with TVs + loud music and fine dining prices. Would recommend this place pre-game/concert at scotiabank arena during their happy hour, but not for dinner. Steak tartar underwhelming.. it says bone marrow but they wash the marrow out of the bone (a shame). I will say the steak was cooked quite well, but the tiny $20 apps that came 10 minutes later were also underwhelming. If your looking for a proper steakhouse feel at the same cost, go next door to Harbor 60.
AAA I have been downtown for 28 years working on Front Street and Bay. This is a fresh of breath air to the downtown. A fabulous steakhouse infused with Japanese and service is impeccable. The food is incredible. I get a kick out of these one-timer three-timer reviewers leaving these horrible reviews with no regard to the hard work/money and effort that was put into these businesses. Lets call them wannabe critics leaving these horrible lengthy delusional mean spirited messages about a fabulous restaurant that just opened up,I ve left many reviews and I can tell you this is AAA you can flush all those other reviews down the toilet.
Beautiful atmosphere, the service is excellent and the food is incredible. They are detail oriented in all aspects and make sure that the customer experience is the top priority. Cant wait to come back and visit again for some delicious steak and creative and tasty drinks!
If you havent been anywhere nice before this place will be impressive. I wanted to believe the hype but really it was just okay. There are other notable steak houses in Toronto to visit. Dont get me wrong mac and cheese and sushi was mouth watering. The ravioli was so salty I gave it back and the steak left something to be desired the presentation was not good for this. The shrimp was...well nothing special and however the scallop and risotto was great. It really seemed like a hit or miss menu because ordered over 10 dishes. Some were amazing some were....why did you put this here? I feel it was also lacking an education piece with all orders. Anyway just my two cents. I prefer black and blue steak house as that experience was 10/10 for me.
I recently dined at Blue Bovine Steak and Sushi House in Toronto and had a mixed experience. The ambiance was pleasant, and the menu offered a variety of options. However, I was disappointed with the service as it took an unusually long 90 minutes to receive my medium-rare steak. Despite the wait, the steak was well-cooked and flavorful. While the food quality was satisfactory, the extended waiting time for a simple dish affected my overall impression. I hope the restaurant addresses its service efficiency to enhance the dining experience for future patrons.
Great location except for that we had to valet at the Fairmont. Sushi were top notch in Toronto cheesecake was good Overall, they definitely need more time for better service. Somehow, our server kept went missing for a while. We probably said, wheres our server? for 4-5 times during the dinner.. They took too long to clean our table for another course and when we got our sushi order without soy sauce, we thought it meant to eat without at first LOL Well probably try their lunch instead next time.
Went before the leaf game on Monday. Got there at 6pm. It took until 6:30 to get a water on my table. 15 minutes after ordering my drink, my server asked me if Id like anything to drink. I ordered 2 sushi rolls. They gave our food to another table and were not able to get the food out before we went to the game. I paid for a roll we never received and to make it up to us they gave us a free beer. Before writing this review I reached out on email twice and Instagram twice. Nobody had answered my request. To compete with the harbour 60s and black and blue this place is going to have to step it up big time. Horrible service. I waited a full week to see if anyone would reply to my emails or direct message and nothing. Goodluck to this place.
Amazing food and great service! The best restaurant in Toronto! Highly recommend. Our server Olivia was very attentive and made us feel special! Thank you!
Disappointed is an understatement. We walked in they sat us at the bar when I booked the lounge. Then our server was not sure on what things were on the menu. Food took way too long to come out, the appetizers took more than an hour. Stake was cold and the sides came out minutes after they serve our steak. The bathrooms were dirty and had a homeless person sleeping at the front door.
We stopped in for drinks on our way home. The drinks were fantastic. We only had apps, which were delicious, but the bar experience was the best. Supper appreciate the amazing service Dietary restrictions: Vegan
Went here for my friend s birthday dinner so we tried a bunch of appetizers, had sushi, mains and sides and even dessert. For the most part, the food was delicious! The bone marrow was probably the only thing I wouldn t get again. I had the scallops risotto and was pleasantly surprised that they gave 4! Would definitely recommend. Our server was also great! Probably one of the best servers I ve had in a while.
Awesome food awesome staff and amazing chefs!!!!
Incredible I loved it
An absolute amazing establishment
Wow this place is awesome, I was trained in a five star hotel in Ireland and this place is awesome oh I said that already but it really is.
This place is a really good option for trying streaks and seafood. A must visit in Toronto !!!!
Great food! Great service and beautiful atmosphere! Will be back
Amazing atmosphere, place really is a vibe with amazing food. Staff were awesome, and attentive. My only complaint was the meal ended.
Insane chef who yells at staff yikes I will never be back here.
We originally went to the Blue Blood location at Casa Loma, and I was super excited for the Bovine. They did not disappoint. The addition of sushi provides more selection, and was amazing. All of the food and drinks were amazing and this location being in Union Station makes it super convenient for us when we visit the city.
Came for a 25th anniversary and had a wonderful experience. Great food done perfectly, and our waiter, Andre, was fantastic! A very convenient spot for dinner before our concert at Scotiabank Arena. Highly recommended!
Last minute decision to try here. Bougie doe sure, but service was warm and welcoming. Food qualify was excellent. Got the 44oz flaming tomahawk from down under and it was simply delicious. Sushi was excellent quality surprisingly Food
Dined Friday Night at BLUE BOVINE. From entry with the amazing hostess to our amazing server Zoe, it was fantastic. The cuisine was delicious, the lighting and vibe was nice and the music was on point, beautiful dj. We will definitely be back. The menu was so big, we will keep coming back. Thank You Again. Congrats Nick, Kevin & Mitch. This is an awesome space. ~ JAY T WARSH - @JayTSandals
I m not much of a sushi guy but the sushi was the highlight of the night for me. Good food, attentive service and amazing ambiance. We sat next to a group of NHL players which added some fun to the evening. The desserts were incredible and big enough to feed an army. A very enjoyable evening all around.
This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. They greet you like your family, not just a client. The chef there is truly one of a kind. While we were eating, they came out to greet us and gave a little intro on some new things we were trying. If it wasnt for him, I would have never tried new things. The food is to die for stunning presentation flavors, which were phenomenal top notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is remarkable , The staff was amazing overall five at five if I could give it a ten out of ten I would. Just keep doing what youre doing amazing.
Absolutely horrible service. I wrote a review last week and they deleted it. Overpriced (which I dont mind if they can provide proper service), garbage service, 0 customer support. When you pay $200/ person youd expect a basic level of customer service. A host to ask you why you had a bad experience and a solution to fix it. Instead, I have complained for 3 weeks, written 2 reviews, both taken down by the restaurant. I emailed the restaurant and the liberty group; no response.. All because I was charged for 3 sushi rolls that never arrived. Imagine paying 200$/ person, for food that never came. Nobody available to remedy the situation. No response to email, DM or review online. I have only made 2 reviews in my entire life. Both for this restaurant. Save your money and spend it at Harbour or Black and Blue. Atleast they can serve you there when youre spending this type of money. I wouldve never written either of these if any manager or host helped the situation. No customers are coming back to pay for this garbage.
The food is good and the service is effective. We had the spicy tuna rolls, shrimp cocktail, beef tartare and the T-bone steak. All good. For the tables placed close to the door, the restaurant does not effectively cut out the noise / commotion at union - the doors were kept open for the duration of our meal.
This place is outstanding and such a great addition to Toronto! All of the staff are really friendly and give a great vibe that they want to be there and they enjoy it! The food was amazing and came in a great time! The restaurant itself is beautiful and well decorated! A great touch is the meat and salt wall along with the kitchen being at the back & in the open! We will definitely be back
Food was poor. For the price expect more. Black N Blu still the place to go a few blocks away
Restaurant was newly opened 1 month ago. The decor was done tastefully, there is a private room that can seat up to 14 people. I was there for happy hour. The host wasn t very friendly, but the server was. I would suggest for the server to know a little more on wine and suggest with knowledge. It s quite visible that basic knowledge is lacking when simple questions is asked regarding the 4 happy hour wine. When wine were brought to the table, the 2 different reds were ordered but it tasted the same. When this was brought to the server s attention, replacement was not offered. Ordered everything on the menu to try, the tuna tartare, maki roll, and the fries were my recommendation.
Thank you Tarik for amazing service, suggestions and happily accommodating special requests. Very tasty food!
Had a perfectly fine business dinner here last night. Service was perfectly reasonable, and the atmosphere - while a bit louder than I personally like - was nice. The food was inconsistent. The Braised Short Rib Ravioli was outstanding, and the Coconut Cream Pie was out of this world good. Some of the dishes were pretty bad - the polenta squares were weirdly seasoned and the Grilled Tiger Prawns were tiny / boring. Other dishes were simply mediocre: my steak was cooked well, but it was hardly a top-notch cut of beef, the Steak Tartar was underwhelming, and the Duck Fat Fries were pretty boring (and under cooked - give me some crisp, please...) Finally, if youre going to offer table side Caesar salad preparation, you should properly train staff in how to make it. Its supposed to be a show, it felt like a practice session. The overall experience was a let-down. If youre going to charge the prices they charge, the experience should not be described as fine...
We had dinner and drinks there last night and it exceeded expectations. Jaya took care of our table and made it a great experience for us. This was my first time in, and it will definitely become a regular spot in my rotation. The atmosphere is perfect, the food is extremely fresh and flavorful, and the staff were extremely professional and welcoming. I highly recommend trying Blue Bovine, and if you have Jaya for your table you ll be in great hands the entire time.
