Casa Loma, 1 Austin Terrace, Toronto, ON M5R 1X8, Canada
Located inside Toronto’s majestic castle, Casa Loma, BlueBlood Steakhouse offers a refined dining experience in an upscale environment. The one of a kind space offers a modern and edgy feel with a juxtaposition of classic heritage architecture, unique heirloom antiques and modern art pieces by Warhol, Mr. Brainwash and Salvador Dali. Offering a modern twist on the classic steakhouse, the menu highlights various cuts of the finest beef from around the world, as well as fresh seafood and an extensive international wine and spirit list.
I have been to this restaurant multiple times and it never disappoints. Hands down one of the best steakhouses in Toronto. All the food tastes fresh and every dish we had did not disappoint. The sushi is excellent. Highly recommend getting the Spicy Tuna & Soft Shell Crab Rolls. Table side Caesar is also a must. My only suggestion would be the dessert menu needs some work, and the dishes need more flavor, but nothing I will remove a star for. Service was excellent. Shout out to Terrance for making our night fantastic!
We came here for our anniversary in August and we loved every bit of it. The appetizer, which was the grilled octopus down to the dessert, everything was truly amazing and tasty. We also ordered the Waygu steak along with another steak and our server explained the cut of meat, the tasting salts that it came with perfectly which added to our experience. They also recommended refreshing drinks. Would highly recommend

The restaurant’s decor has a refined charm that makes it perfect for marking an occasion like a birthday—it feels like a treat just being there. The food is undoubtedly the highlight. Beyond the steaks, the menu offers a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes, so there’s something for everyone at the table. Pairing your meal with one of their wine selections only enhances the experience, adding a touch of sophistication to the celebration. It’s a place where you can savor incredible food, enjoy great company, and make the most of your birthday. If you’re looking for a setting that feels both special and indulgent, BlueBlood Steakhouse is definitely worth considering.
We were in for my daughter’s sweet 16, and after having some issues making an online reservation, the hostess immediately helped us. Stay were out of this world amazing. There was a wedding going on a same venue, and yet we felt quiet, warm, intimate. Several staff attended us, offering suggestions, asking about our trip, made my daughter feel absolutely special, evening helping her with the mock tail menu. (The Bali is fabulous). They finished the night with a beautiful birthday card for her. Food- We got the castle kale salad 15/10… absolutely amazing. Portion size, we shoulda just stopped there, it was a meal in itself. My daughter got the lobster mac & cheese and couldn’t stop smiling. For dessert, it was beyond our expectation's. The details, every single thing down the dessert spoon is gorgeous. The orchids in the drink, the chopstick holder, just perfect. Whether you’re a local, or visiting Toronto, 100% recommend! We will be coming back on our next trip.
The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was very polite and attentive to our needs. We had a special occasion and they really made every effort to ensure that we had a good time. The octopus was so good. We got the scallops as well. Would definitely come again and recommend it to others
I was dined at BlueBlood Steakhouse last Wednesday , and I must say, the service was exceptional , Five star service . From the attentive waitstaff to the management, every detail was handled with care. I particularly appreciated the complimentary birthday fruits and candle , as it was a thoughtful touch which made the evening truly memorable. The service and hospitality at this restaurant are outstanding! Shout out to the food attendant Ramy ,helping us the menu since it was our first time . And he’s very knowledgeable and always give the best to the costumer satisfaction. I highly recommend it !
A very rich meal. The atmosphere was high-end, and the waiter was friendly and recommended meals to us in detail after knowing that it was our first time to eat. Although we were very full and didn't order dessert at the end, they thoughtfully gave us a surprise. However, the STRIPLOIN was a bit overcooked. The outer skin of SEABASS seems to be burnt and tastes slightly bitter, but the meat is still very tender and smooth. I also like its slightly sweet sauce.
We went here to celebrate a friends birthday. She likes steak, so we decided to give it a try. The food portion was good to share. The wine recommendations were also good. We loved the porterhouse steak and the bone marrow. We enjoyed everything we had. The staff were very friendly. We finished our dinner a little late and was almost the last customer but they still served us with a smile.
One thing I don t like is when someone takes advantage of the customer. I went out to dinner last night and asked for the ribeye for myself and the person I was dining with. BB ribeye was $89 each so I wanted 2 for the table. We got some cocktail shrimp, asparagus and some grilled shrimp. The waiter was nice enough at the time. I get the bill and as I am paying it the waiter had charged us $130 per ribeye steak instead of the $89 steak I asked for !! I paid the 420.00 bill I tipped the waiter and left. Never wanted to cause a scene or make any disturbances, or come off as cheap etc. although I have every right to speak on it. Our waiter wanted us to pay $70 in tip to him on top of it as it s a percentage of our order, his attitude changed was very cold, when I adjusted the tip on the keypad to $20 when I realized what he did to us. We paid and we left. BB steakhouse will never see us again.
The waitress was very nice and helpful towards me and my friend when we went. The food was very good but my friend said that the lobster Mac and cheese she had was a little hard. Everything else was amazing.
Excellent cocktails, food and great ambiance. Service was spectacular! Mushroom risotto was a good vegetarian option, highly recommend. Dessert: sticky toffee pudding 10/10 of the 4 dessert options our party sampled. Absolutely a must order!
BlueBlood has become our go-to spot for date nights & I never had a bad experience. What really makes BlueBlood stand out is the view. Whether we re seated indoors or outside, the view is absolutely breathtaking, adding that extra touch to an already amazing evening. The vibe here is perfect for a romantic dinner, and it s great for any special occasion. The food is always incredible each dish is packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Whether its the perfectly cooked steak, fresh seafood, or a unique appetizer, everything weve tried has been a hit. Its clear the chefs put a lot of thought and care into their creations. The wine selection is another highlight. There s such a great variety, and we always find something new to try. The staff is super knowledgeable and happy to suggest the perfect wine to pair with our meal, making it even more enjoyable. That being said, I do wish they would implement a dress code. Sometimes, we ve seen people in shorts and sportswear, which feels a bit out of place for such a stunning restaurant. We always dress up when we go, and I d appreciate it if others did too this place deserves to be treated with the respect it s due. Still, we can t recommend BlueBlood enough. If you re looking for somewhere to enjoy a memorable night out, this place should definitely be on your list! Parking: Theres Valet available & there is a lot of parking space.
A truly wonderful atmosphere. The servers are extremely attentive. The wine selection is quite extensive. They tried to accommodate any dish possible, ie, removing this, adding that etc. The steak is absolutely to die for. Very pleased our server told us that their sides are very big and they are definitely sharable. Would definitely be back!
Its always wonderful to eat here when I have the privilege. Everything tastes and looks wonderful. The service is always superb. The bill is usually astronomical.....but you really do get what you pay for. Its that expensive for a reason. Just pay it. Tip your server well. Make sure you can afford to eat there or have someone that will take you that can afford it. One of the best places to eat in the city without question. Make sure you try the royal cheesecake Its sooooo gooood. Parking: Vast selection of wine. Anf the sides are in huge proportions. They ate designed to be shared. So dont order a whole buch of them. One side can be shared between 2 or 3 people. Kid-friendliness: No. Just no. Dont even think about bringing kids here. Youll ruin it for everyone and be hated by all in the building. Leave them at home. Wheelchair accessibility:
One of my top favourite steakhouses in the city! Great ambience, excellent service, and most importantly, delicious food! The steak was perfect, everything we had ordered surpassed our expectations! Dessert was delicious, crème brûlée just fantastic! Thank you to our server Ramy for making my birthday experience at BlueBlood memorable! Highly recommend and definitely will be returning! 11/10
Everything I ate in the menu was great
Decent food, but not great. The seating was uncomfortable. The combination of low and thin cushioned bank seating left us with feeling sore with our chins resting on the table.
just ok. expect more from this high end restaurant. also, never had this happen to me. While eating my salad, using my fork the plate broke in two. The waiter insisted on bringing me another salad, although i did not want one, as i had finished most of it. Should listen to your customers.
If you want to eat like a King or Queen in a castle this place is for you
Great atmosphere, great waiters and service, no free parking, food a bit expensive, 25% tax
10/10 amazing steak, sides, desserts, and service. We each got the tenderloin medium-rare and can t recommend it enough. The mushroom side was our favourite. And as for dessert, the crème brûlée was phenomenal.
Food and service was amazing. Our waiter and sommelier were very attentive. The one thing that will stop me from ever coming back is the bathroom situation. We may as well be at Budweiser Stadium. One room with both men and women funnelled into cramped individual stalls with crappy toilet paper, no paper towels, a germy hand dryer, no mirrors or a place to fix your face except for the communal area where there is a massive line up of guys sorry but Liberty Group has royally shit the bed on this one. This was not the situation when Don Alfonso was here and shouldn t be now. I don t want to walk into a bathroom stall after a drunk Christmas party dude from down the hall has just pissed all over the seat. Especially when Blue Blood patrons are dropping serious $ down the hall. Get this house back in order.
The evening started off with dangerous/treacherous walking conditions from the Uber drop off point to the entrance. For some reason the drop off point has been relocated from the first entrance and meant us walking in slush and very slippery conditions. After notifying the front desk this was not remedied by the time we left. The washroom facilities were a disaster! The one room with men and women having to line up to share the stalls, was ridiculous and not what a first class restaurant should have. The toilet floors were filthy, no mirrors in the stalls and poor quality toilet paper. It was like attending a concert or hockey game at Scotia Arena. With regard to our bill, why would the restaurant tax the gratuity after already taxing the food and drinks. We brought this up with our server, who said we were not the only ones that had questioned this charge. The food and drinks were excellent. Our server and sommelier were top notch. But we won t be returning. Finally, Liberty Group needs to step up their game for this fine dining establishment!
First of all, I m the one who has been to min 90% of big named restaurants in Toronto and some top restaurants in the world and a Michelin Star collector. I assume that I m crystal clearly knowing what is called good service . I have to say the management here at Blueblood in Casa Loma is chaotic . Managers lack the most basic knowledge in hospitality service animals. The reservation team don t even know how to communicate with guests properly except the regular booking process. I m surprised about how the billionaire owner is still being able to keep the business running? Other than location Casa Loma , a few top restaurants and bars in Toronto and Miami, being a simp with A-class celebrities, what s left? The owner has CA$12m to renovate the restaurant and US$8m for Miami Beach House but don t have money for staff training. It was just horrible. I m the one who has been suffering from mental health issues and requires a service animal. The duty manager don t even notice there are different types of service animals, nor the service animal performs different duties according to patients needs. My service animal was welcomed by the waiter at the beginning, but the manager showed up and asked the dog to stay on the ground in the middle of the dinner. That means the restaurant banned my service animal to perform her duties in helping me control mental health issues. We need to pet, hug, and hold them to alleviate panic attack, impulsiveness, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and many more. There is no dog that could be qualified as a service animal by barely watching them. That s called a pet. Although I had explained that I have been suffering from mental health issue in public, which definitely felt insulted, the manager still does not accommodate my needs. I was feeling human right violated at this point. Asked if I could speak to higher management level. Floor manager said, No, I m the boss here , although their higher mangers were sitting in the office on the second floor. It ended up that we had to leave in the middle of a double birthday dinner and caused me to go to emergency right after. There was no immediate assistance nor responds until 46 hours later. Not even the top manager contacted me but the director of operation , who graduated from being a bartender (now a sommelier)and doesn t even know how to write email properly. It was very first time seeing that someone call my name directly in salutation without greeting in the email. He kindly explained that, oh, we don t usually put title if we don t know you. Obviously, Mr. Sommelier in the restaurant cannot even distinguish greeting-hi, hey and title-Mr., Mrs., Dr., etc. Extremely rude. Mr. Sommelier is now taking the high management position in the restaurant. No wonder. Then the compensation from this luxury restaurant for all these happened to me, another free meal . They really think people who can afford dining there cares about their free meal , LMFAO, what a cheap restaurant. Called 311 on the next day. The law enforcement went to the restaurant, giving them warning and education. This is the case I would never expect that should happen in such high-end restaurants. This restaurant has no respect for mental health sufferer. What a shame. Btw, for your curiosity, Mr.Sommelier. the picture below shows how Alo treats my service animal, although their seating area is much smaller than Casa Loma. They arranged the seat for the service animal and allowed service animal sits beside me. And another picture from Stofa, does my dog sit in the chair, Mr. Sommelier?
Our son planned my birthday celebration here Thank you to our server, Ryan, for keeping our table service smooth all evening. Fantastic table, tableside Caesar salad for 4, scallops, steaks, and lamb were all delicious Priceless night And BlueBlood gave me a gift! Thank you, BB!
Absolutely amazing service food was top notch best steak Ive had anywhere. Alex our server was excellent in every way. Definitely coming back.
Good atmosphere and location, but we were very underwhelmed with the food. Steak was overcooked and under seasoned. My partner and I did not feel like we got the right value for our money.
While visiting Casa Loma, we made our reservation for dinner at this restaurant, which is located there. As it is a steakhouse, I wouldnt expect attractive prices. However, I must highlight the excellent service provided by its employees, combined with the quality of the product offered. My husband chose a filet, which was prepared exactly to the doneness he requested. My choice was the Rosted Atlantic Salmon, also prepared with care, resulting in an incredible flavor. For dessert, we shared one called Coconut Cream Pie, which was simply impeccable.
We had a great experience. Staff was friendly. They started off by serving us scones with butter. I just wish there were more halal options. The only Halal option is Wagu from Australia, and its pretty pricey..More options would have been nice for people that only eat halal. However the wagu steak was amazing and came hot. We also got the Truffle Potato Gratin and sautéed hand-foraged woodland mushrooms... Everything was absolutely delightful. We sat in the little domes outside, they are heated.
Fantastic meal tonight in the majestic and prestigious location, namely Casa Loma. We were seated by a lovely table closest to the fireplace. On-site parking ($20 self-service, Valet also available) was limited (due to Saturday night, Halloween event and a wedding at Blue Bloods) but we were fortunate to secure a spot, as the parking lot was marked full. appetizers: Jumbo shrimp ($9/pc) were excellent, arrived a bowl with dry ice, very cool ... And were worthy of the name Jumbo. My partner had Steak tartare, served inside of a bone, which looked like a piece of bread at first. Pinot Grigio was nice, limited ciders available. Main: Scallop risotto, same as I had last time...and just as delicious as I remembered it. My partner had a steak (theres so many to choose from), it was cooked to perfection and was rated a 15/10. Vegetables and starches are a la carte to most main dishes, but are plenty enough to share. Leftovers are placed in a reheatable container and in a cloth tote bag, stamped Blue Bloods (nice touch! ) It was that good. For dessert, we decided to each have the profiterole, with salted caramel and homemade hazelnut ice cream. We agreed that this was one of the best desserts we ever had (Im also glad we opted to get our own and not share one). Our server, Terrance, poured warm caramel sauce over the hard round shell ...melting it to reveal the ice cream underneath. This was even better than the amazing Baked Alaska we had made tableside at our last visit. I was also gifted with a beautiful Blue Bloods Steakhouse souvenir bottle cork topper as a memento of my visit in honour of my birthday. A great meal. I would also recommend trying food made tableside like Baked Alaska, Banana Flambe, and Caesar Salad. They also have some heated bubble tent LS outside for 2-3 dinner per bubble tent...I think Im going to reserve one of these the next time we dine there. Thanks Torrence and Blue Bloods for a great night and a memorable birthday.
We ate in the pods for my party. it was a very nice experience to be in the pods a very intimate experience
Blueblood was one of the most elegant and classy experiences Ive ever had. Everything was perfection from the ambiance, the food, the drinks and most importantly Gios excellent service. We also had help from a Sommelier who was deeply knowledgeable and recommended the perfect wine for our dinner. 10/10 experience, recommend to anyone who can afford it.
My wife brought me here for a surprise birthday dinner. When we got there we were greeted by the parking attendant and we opted for valet We were promptly seated by the hostess in our pod and our server came pretty quickly. Our server Ryan came and seemed friendly, gave us a few minutes to order and provided water for the table and bread to start. There was hardly a relationship built by our server, just enough to get orders through and that was it We wanted to try the Queen Tea cocktail as the others did not spark any interest for us. However, the bar was missing an ingredient so they were unable to make the drink so Ryan had to come back and have us order alternatives. We ended up ordering Penicillin & Silk Road Prime Steak Tartar - In-Bone marrow canoe, housemade pickles, toasted sourdough - presentation was lovely, the bread (croustini) we received was stale. It was very challenging to bite into, rock solid. We told our server Ryan and initially attempted to excuse the bread as supposed to be crusty, but you couldnt even bite into it without hurting your teeth. He promptly asked the kitchen for fresh croustini; night and day difference. The tartar was OK. Table side Caesar - Caesar salad done tableside, Alejandro was great in building a relationship with us and we had nice conversation while he did his thing. Large chunks of bacon, good portion and balanced ratios. Not overly creamy. Canadian Prime, Aged 28 Day Porterhouse - Medium Rare - The steak was very tender, includes 3 types of salts (smoked, himalayan and volcanic salt) really nice cut of beef to share. Weve never had a porterhouse before so we opted to try. Personally we both prefer a ribeye over a porterhouse but now we know. Sautéed Spinach - Appears deep fried and then coated in their sauce, this side dish i felt lacked flavor, was missing seasoning or something. Was not good, do not recommend. Lobster Mac & Cheese - Good dish, rich and carried flavor well compared to the spinach. We had asked the staff to pack most of our meal as we were pretty full from our apps and picking at our steak/sides. Comments on Service/Communication: When the staff member returned, he had indicated to us that he threw away the bone of our porterhouse steak, and asked if this was okay? Not sure what the response should have been here from us, but for the bone to be fetched from the garbage? There was ample meat on the bone of our $250 steak... gone to waste. When we exited we were standing there waiting for valet to bring our car, we stood there for 10-15 minutes prior, a gentlemen walked out from the restaurant and asked if we were good, he saw us hold our valet tag and proceeded to walk away and help another guest bring their car around. I was talking to the security guard next to us (really nice guy) and he asked if we needed our car from valet. Of course I said yes and he was talking to the one of the valet staff, who had asked us if we handed our valet ticket to the host. Again, this was not communicated to us from our server on the parking/valet situation. If we had built a relationship with Ryan, he could have or would have explained to us that we would need to give our ticket to the host instead of us waiting outside for 15 minutes. Reservation was made on OpenTable indicating it was a birthday celebration, there was no ask from our server if we were celebrating anything at all, no relationship built. The relationship was transactional at best. I had high hopes coming here as when my wife had told me we were coming reviews looked pretty promising. I am disappointed to say the least with the whole night. Our server would come in and out of the pod, but would not close the door behind him. I tried to give him benefit of the doubt because he is obviously taking care of other tables but the other staff coming in and out would close the pod door. if i could write more I would but Im already past my limit. Parking: Dont expect instruction or guidance from valet or wait staff.
One of the best steak experiences I have had globally. The service was excellent, the food was fabulous and the building and atmosphere was great.
This SteakHouse was just fantastic! The restaurant is located directly in Casa Loma in Toronto and is very stylishly decorated. We were in the restaurant in a larger group and had a great round table. Different dishes such as octopus, sushi or sashimi etc. were shared as starters. The starters were very tasty and super fresh! As an intermediate course, a Ceaser salad was prepared and served directly at the table in the traditional way! The staff was very friendly and attentive and fulfilled our every wish that evening. As a main course, various steaks such as porterhouse steak, Kobe beef and Wagyu Tomahawk would be ordered with various side dishes from the menu. The meat was simply awesome! Intensely flavored and perfectly cooked. The steaks were a real treat. If you are in Toronto and want to eat very good steak, you definitely have to come here! It was a perfect evening with excellent food and service! Well definitely be back!
UPDATE- management resolved the situation by crediting the bill to a newly issued card. Glad it was resolved. I am beyond disappointed. I had been wanting to go here for a while with a lifelong love for Casa Loma. I received a gift card as a present at Christmas and we saved it to use it for my birthday in Oct. The food was great. The room was very empty, echoey, loud from kitchen noise, and unimpressive The server was attentive and helpful. Then came time to pay. We handed over the gift card. After a few minutes the server came back to apologize that the gift card was expired so he could not accept it. There was an expiry date hidden under a scratch off cover. It expired 6 months after purchase. Bluebloods was unwavering in their refusal to accept the card, despite this practice being ILLEGAL in Ontario. I have tried to discuss this with restaurant management afterwards with no success. All they have offered to do is reissue the gift card instead of a refund to replace the personal funds we had to use when they denied the card. DO NOT give this as a gift to anyone you care about. Shame on Liberty entertainment for their shady business practices.
Apparently this is a top 5 steakhouses in Toronto, I disagree. I eat out a lot so you can trust my credibility. I got the 18 oz ribeye, it was very small compared to other steakhouses I been to. The steak itself was cooked to my liking however it was very burnt on the outside. I threw up after the dinner because I couldn t get the burnt taste off. Bluefin tuna was good, honestly very mid. If you had blue bovine you do not need to visit here because it s the same recipe. (They are owned by the same company so I would assume everything is the same) Lobster Mac had 2 lobster claws and they called it a lobster Mac . Steak tartare was good but you can t really mess it up. The only thing I would change is presentation. The tartare on the bone marrow is so stupid. Service was amazing. Our server was super nice and explained all of the dishes well. I asked for their recommendation but she kept recommending the most expensive items on the menu. Hahah i don t blame her but I just thought it was funny. Truly had good manners. I spent around 250+ after tax and tip. It was honestly not worth your money. I m not a brokie or anything so I m not butt hurt I spent that much but their food specially their steak needs to change.
The service, ambiance, quality on consistency of dishes here has no room for improvement. Their table side salad, wagyu, lava cake, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese are must orders & their sommelier made excellent suggestions. Definitely my fav place to celebrate
Honestly an impossible to match experience from the location to the ambience, the service, the drinks, the table side experiences, the food we were lucky enough to go around the Christmas season and our dinner was elevated by the presence of a large orchestra. Top notch - bring your wallet!
They black listed Adam, we will never come back
they black listed adam. will never come back
Wonderful dinning experience. Staff were friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. Some of the best sushi we ve experienced in the city. We were excited to see it on the menu after our recent visit to Blue Bovine, it was excellent when we had it there as well. Sushi tower was a great start to our meal. Highly recommend. Steaks cooked perfect! Loved the truffle potatoes. Dessert was off the charts, it s hard to save room so bring a few friends with you so you can try it all.
Everything about this place was amazing. Servers were very attentive, knowledgeable and patient with our questions about the menu, every single dish was tasty and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was lovely as well!
rain or shine, you can eat in a glass dome, on the terrace, or indoors at a nice table the aged meat is actually aged, after a tour around the facility i was very impressed with their level and attention to quality. the views and atmosphere is always great the meal will be around $100 for sure, be prepared to spend but it is a good time and is worth it for special occasions
Drove here from Michigan for my birthday celebration and I would love to say it was truly an unforgettable celebration ! The service food restaurant and Casa Loma was amazing thank you especially to Ramy our server he was top tier knew the menu answered all our questions gave great recommendations and made us laugh thank you Blue Blood Steak House !
The food was appropriate, delicious, expertly explained, not rushed, well presented, as expected. Justina was a warm, welcoming helpful connection and Sergio was efficient, friendly and completely communicative about all menu selections . It was a delightful experience for my grandsons 21st.
Gorgeous restaurant fit for a King!
The steak was delicious, and the options of different seasoning salt was a nice touch. The sal sides however did not match the quality of the steaks. The space is beautiful, though some of the design choices seem to clash with the overall ambiance in an attempt to add some edge. While the staff were attentive and knowledgeable, it felt like they were directed to be very serious at all times. I didnt get the sense that it was a personality trait of our specific server, but more of a brand that the restaurant wanted to portray
Everything was *exceptional* including our mocktails.
BlueBlood Steakhouse in Casa Loma offers a memorable dinner experience, especially during Thanksgiving. The seasonal risotto was outstanding, and the meat cuts were exceptional, showcasing the restaurants quality. The enchanting ambiance inside the castle adds a unique touch to the dining experience. While it s on the pricier side, the incredible flavors and overall atmosphere make it well worth it.
Brought business partners from out of town to show them the best Toronto has to offer. Evening was great. Tartar, baked Alaska , local Kobe. Everything on point except .. 3 random servers assistants kept coming around and filling our water. Filling incessantly as if they were really trying to push us to buy more sparkling water- it was garish. Embarrassing, especially because I noticed in Europe they pour shared bottles of wine and water to a standard level that is barely midway- this was actually embarrassing to the point my partners made jokes about being drowned. Eventually the water level was almost to the top of the glass and we had to tell the server assistants to stop coming so frequently. It was really embarrassing and frustrating. We were spending enough money and drank 3 bottles wine among the 3 of us so it s puzzling to think about.
Came here for my graduation celebration, Terrence was our server for the night and he was wonderful!! Very friendly and on-top of everything, he helped make our experience a memorable one. The food was good overall, the maki sushi were so-so. For the price our expectations were pretty high, and while the food was good we were hoping it would be great. Beautiful spot though, would come back again!
I dont recommend it at all, there is no flavor in the food, its too expensive for nothing, and it smelled bad in the small exterior shells with the heating turning off every 10 minutes. no I dont recommend
My favourite steak house in Toronto! Love the vibe, food, and service. The caesar salad is a MUST with your steak!
Fantastic ambiance and mediocre overpriced food. Beautiful Casa Loma terrace with e view of a fountain and panorama of downtown Toronto. Food was very disappointing. Tuna tartar was completely overwhelmed by amount of fried oily onions. Polenta was deep fried and dripping with oil. Salmon filet was basically your supermarket salmon filet as is on a grill with practically no sauce. I am not sure if Hand picked forest mushrooms were really hand picked, but they were completely tasteless. Seabass was a filet of unknown white fish, swimming in oil.
Overall, a good meal. However, I found the service from our waiter was lacking, and some of the food lacked flavour. Obviously the venue is spectacular, but that doesn t make up for the plain mashed potatoes (the stuff out of a box has more flavour and costs $2 compared to $20+), and our waiter either was having an off day, has no personality, or just didn t like us! I would not come here again ($500 for two, plus $20 parking). It did not compare to Ruth s Chris, Barbarians, or any of the other high-end steakhouses in Toronto.
Solid steakhouse. Caesar salad is great. Service is great.
Went here for anniversary dinner with family and was spoiled with exceptional service. My party of 6 was taken care of by our server Andy. The food was perfect, each meal was cooked exactly as desired. Their dry tomahawk 35 day aged was perfect. Thank you for the great experience, will definitely be back
If your black dont go with a large group, you will not feel welcome. I went there early September for a birthday dinner on a Sunday. The hotess seated us like she was running a marthon. They had an issue with us having to other 2 guest join our table to make it 4 full. Security keep coming near our table. My second glass of Prosecco got lost and took forever to be delivered. It was cold and they refused to turn on all heat lamps except for one they moved to a white couples table, shortly after telling our table that lamps could not be moved. There is too much to write. The only good thing i can say good is our Indian waiter treated us well for the few mins we had him until we were moved because of the chance of rain. Moral of the story if your black with a large group dont go. I will keep my money and for where i feel welcomed. Over priced terrible service. What year are we in again.
Not good service as all. Asked for my bill and didnt get it for 20+ mins. Very disappointed
Fabulous experience celebrating our anniversary. Excellent service and delicious food. The salad portion is quite big, enough to share. They also gave us a cute souvenir.
I had the pleasure of spending my wedding anniversary here. Antonio and Franco made the night amazing ! The service and food were amazing, we had a great time! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and hospitality!
I love Antonio so much, such a nice man Parking: I feel like $25 is too much for parking when I m spending $500+ for dinner Food : 5/5 |
Had the pleasure of being served by Sue. Great service in a beautiful setting would recommend
We had an enjoyable experience! The cuisine was delectable, and the service was outstanding. The ambiance was great. #foodie #yum #greatservice
This was a very magnificent experience. Our server, Conor, was super polite and offered amazing service. I thought the food and atmosphere were unmatched! BlueBlood is definitely a gem in Toronto, great for a special occasion!
Returned to Casa Loma after 15 years, good service, and that stood out the most. Beautiful building.
The service was awful. Neglecting and racist behaviors. The food was disgusting. Keg is much better. I visited for my sisters birthday but it was horrifying experience. The waiter was racist. Grilled Octopus tasted same as rubber. Spent more than 800 dollars Not worth a penny
Wheelchair accessibility: Hallways were big enough for a wheelchair. Food
This is not just a steakhouse. The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is amazing. Table side Cesar salad and grilled octopus are always our choices to start and you won t be disappointed. Seafood tower was bomb but you have to order the coconut cream pie it s the best in the city.
This is my first time here. This place is above and beyond. 5 star to the max. Everything is top notch. Special mentions to Flo, Franko and Shawn. Thanks for a great night guys.
A mediocre 3 star experience reminiscent of a Moxies or Milestones - lacks the service and attention to detail that five star places like Jacob s, Oliver s and other finer steakhouses provide. Dine here if you want to spend $500 on dinner but still have to ask for water refills, a steak knife and flag down waiters for basic requests. You ll be much more satisfied at your local Milestones for a quarter of the cost.
The entire experience was splendid, we can t wait for our next visit!
It was a great pleasure for me to visit this place. Although the average check in this establishment is high, Im ready to pay this money again. The service was top notch. The food was very tasty!!! The portions were huge, although in other establishments of this type it is always expected that the portions will be small. It was very pleasant and interesting to visit this place and I will gladly return again.
Atmosphere is great, definitely gives you the high-end feeling, however the food quality is not on a par with some of the other fine dining restaurants in the city. Also if you do request special settings (date, birthday, etc.) when booking, you got to consider that sometimes they are quite forgetful. All in all it s a great place to bring your significant other, or to have a nice meal with the family. They do have an amazing collection of wines and other alcoholic drinks as well, But if you do go, do not hesitate to order the seafood tower, the mac n cheese with lobster, and their amazing steaks.
Went for an anniversary dinner. Gio was our server and was such an angel best service ever received anywhere hands down!! Beautiful spot and the octopus app he recommended was incredible. Such a beautiful dinner
I recently dined at BlueBlood Steakhouse with a friend on a Tuesday evening, and I must share our deeply disappointing experience. We sat outside in a lovely pod, and our waitress promptly asked if we wanted wine. We agreed, and she said she would call the sommelier for suggestions. However, after ten minutes, the waitress returned to take our order without the sommelier. We mentioned this, and she apologized, saying she would call them again. Despite this, our steaks arrived 10-15 minutes later, and we still hadn t seen the sommelier. We were left to choose a wine ourselves while our steaks grew cold, on a night that wasn t even busy. After another ten minutes, my friend had to embarrassingly walk into the kitchen to hand over our wine selection. The wine finally arrived, but by then, our steaks were nearly finished. The waitress only offered an apology no compensation, no complimentary wine, or dessert. We ended up paying over $500 for a meal that was ruined by poor service and disrespect. A few days later, I called the manager, Cillian, who apologized and offered a free dessert and drinks for our next visit. This offer felt like another slap in the face. Given our experience, a meal compensation was the least they could have done. Ignoring our request three times, serving cold steak, and then offering such minimal compensation is truly appalling. He also mentioned he was there that night. Why didn t he come to our table to explain what happened and apologize? Does he not know what is going on in the restaurant? The waitress had to apologize three times, and we literally walked into the kitchen to find someone to help us. How is he not that attentive? I know people reading this will think, Oh, they didn t get their wine on time, poor them, but that s not the point. The issue is the complete lack of attention and respect we received throughout our dining experience. Being ignored repeatedly and having to embarrassingly seek out service in a high-end restaurant is unacceptable. This kind of treatment ruins what should have been a special evening and is far below what one should expect from a restaurant of this quality. If you want to go to a fancy restaurant to spend a lot of money and be ignored and disrespected, then BlueBlood Steakhouse is the place to go. Parking: $20
The ambiance, service & food makes this one of my favourite restaurants.
Nice spot, but a total tourist trap. Super overpriced for the quality. Much better steak in this city.
The atmosphere and service is remarkable; the food is alright.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The customer service was terrible, and the overall service was just as bad. After dining here, both I and my friend got food poisoning, and no one took responsibility for it. It s shocking to see such poor customer service at a supposedly luxury restaurant. I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone.
Really had an awesome experience at BlueBlood. The service was amazing so was the food. The price comes with it tho. 570$ (tip ans tx included) for the 2 person. So great for special occasion !
3.8/5 What can I say.. The hype didn t live up to the expectation. Located on gorgeous grounds at Toronto s Castleloma, BlueBlood Steakhouse is everything you would expect and want when you fist walk in - a polite and friendly hostess, stunning interior and artwork, attentive wait staff but unfortunately the food was sub par - esp for a fine/high dining restaurant. Instead of nice, warm bread served in a napkin, we were served cheese bread balls of some kind with chives. They were good, don t get me wrong, but not something I wish to eat before a heavy meal. The table-side Ceasar salad was cool in that they make it from scratch right infront of you, however I found it to be EXTREMELY salty! The hollandaise sauce on the asparagus reminded me of something out of a cheap American diner, and although the tuna looked pretty, it was completely tasteless. The Australian waygu was decent, but nothing to rave about Thankfully this establishment looks pretty on the inside because staring at the furniture, paintings and light fixtures was the best part of my dining experience. Parking: $20 paid parking
I dined and proposed to my now fiancée at one of the outdoor pods here. The staff (Valentina) went above and beyond helping me setup/decorating the pod, preparing flower, the whole process, etc. I couldn t be happier with how it went and I m really grateful for how much Valentina helped me with this. After the proposal we dined there and the food was great too! We had some east coast oysters and braised beef ravioli for starters and shared a 36days dry age striploin that was seasoned beautifully. Overall it was one unforgettable experience!
Great food and even better service. Obviously a restaurant of this calibre can be pricy, but I did not leave feeling I overpaid for the experience.
Customer service and food was great. Unfortunately, Michael the manager had a vendetta against our group and decided to turn to spite. We were enjoying a 40th birthday of our friends and he cut us off from drinking after our 3rd drink. It was obvious he didn t like us from the start. Very unprofessional.
My friends and I came here for a 40th birthday party. Great atmosphere and great service from the waitress, Raquel. However, towards the end of the evening, the manager, Michael, came up to us and said he can t serve us our last drink as we got our bill why? Because I was vaping outside on the patio lol(pic attached).... on top of that, our bill was $1500 we are grown married men and we re enjoying a goodnight to be approached in this manner is extremely disrespectful and embarrassing and I will never bring another person to this place again. Literally ruined my entire night.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but on Sunday August 18 2024, my visit to Blue blood was so dismal that it compelled me to share my experience. From start to finish, this restaurant was a letdown. We were having a grand time celebrating a 40th birthday. When the manager Mike decided to cut our last round of drinks. After receiving a bill of nearly $2000. Also, we had a designated driver. Plus non of us were drunk or even close to it. Which soured the evening. I would not recommend this place to celebrate any special occasion. The manager s discretion was way off and seemed premature. Thank you for ruining the celebration Mike. However, our server Racquel was amazing. Her knowledge of the menu and attention to our needs was 10 out of 10.
What a spectacular evening. Our group dined on Blue Bloods patio. The surrounding views are spectacular. The entrees were amazing. Steak was done to perfection. The variety of sides were delicious and the dessert was superb. The food was very delicious and service was impeccable. They offer a very fine selection of wines. All around a most memorable and magnificent evening that one can only experience at Casa Loma. We highly recommend it.
Had an incredible culinary experience a Blueblood Steakhouse. This place exceeded all my expectations. From appetizers to entrees to the dessert - everything was delicious and presented beautifully. The wagyu steak and lobster mac and cheese were amazing. The grilled octopus had to be my favourite! Special shoutout to the amazing chefs that make it all happen! The service was also impeccable. Our server, Su, was super friendly and attentive. She made sure every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. The ambiance is very elegant and charming. Dining here really makes you feel like royalty, especially since its right in the castle! Such a memorable experience.
Service is excellent. Shawn was very welcoming and friendly. Thanks The food is mediocre for the price. It was nothing special. Even their cream brûlée was simply ok. Food
One of the best meals Ive ever eaten
Such a beautiful castle to have dinner in! I was floored by the wagyu beef sampler - it was by far the most delicious meal I ve ever had. Kind and quick servers who paid attention to detail and made our night so special. Dietary restrictions: Shellfish allergy friendly
I came across the blueblood steakhouse and was instantly pulled by the ambient idea of the private dining pod experience. With three months till my birthday, I made a reservation for the pods and began looking forward to this unique dining experience. However, two days before my birthday, I received a call informing me that the area with the pods were under construction, and the reservation would no longer be able to be fulfilled. Despite being disappointed, I chose not to sit inside the restaurant because it was not the experience I was hoping for. Nevertheless, I let go of my frustrations about the cancellation with the hopes of having this dining opportunity in the future. Fast forward 7 months (May 2024), I called the restaurant to inquire about the availability of the pods and I was told that within two weeks, the pods would be available. So again, I made a reservation. This time, 8 weeks in advance of my anniversary in order to secure the experience that I had been patiently waiting for since July 2023. Yesterday, July 3rd, at 5:30pm, the day of my anniversary, I received another call from the restaurant informing me that the dining pods were not available again, and if I was planning to visit the restaurant I would need to sit inside. I was extremely confused and frustrated to hear this especially after receiving a call from the restaurant on Monday, July 1st to confirm my reservation for July 3rd, where no mention of this inconvenience was relayed. After receiving the news of the cancellation, I called the restaurant to vocalize my frustration. However upon explaining the situation to the general manager, the only resolution proposed was to cover a dessert. As someone who is very familiar with the service industry, this felt like less than the bare minimum considering that I was once again left without plans on the night of an important occasion, and smost restaurants would have covered a dessert for the simple fact that it was my anniversary. Throughout my entire experience on the phone with management, the importance of wanting this experience was minimized and devalued. This became even more evident when the manager proposed another offer to cover appetizers and two glasses of champagne, despite the problem not being about money but rather the lack of professionalism in delivering the high-end dining experience that this restaurant advertises. I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant especially because my entire negative experience at the blueblood steakhouse took place outside of its doors.
Great customer service food was wonderful. We return again with family.
I had the best experience in Toronto at this restaurant located in the Casa Loma Museum Garden!!!! Dont miss this opportunity! The staff is excellent and the cuisine is impeccable! My special affection to Samantha who was super attentive!!! Kisses dear Elen @sp4you
We had the greatest time at my boyfriends 32nd birthday!!! Our server Shawn was spectacular and gave us really good recommendations, especially for the wine since they have 600 different bottles! Food was superb! Even gave us each a special wine stopper gift !
Every aspect was superb
This was a bit difficult to rate at first. However, with a $904 bill I didn t get what I felt was a $904 meal. Service was pretty good. However they say is next a table for 10 that was very loud. Caesar salad should not be $75 parking should not be $20, and you should not charge a gratuity tax. I don t mind paying for a good meal but this didn t feel like one. Sorry not sorry
I had an unforgettable dining experience at BlueBlood Steakhouse in Toronto. The octopus was perfectly done, tender, and bursting with flavor. The caprese salad was a delightful blend of fresh, flavorful ingredients. Our Wagyu steak was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth perfection, cooked to perfection with an exquisite taste. To top it all off, I enjoyed the best dirty martini Ive had in a long time. The ambiance and service were top-notch, making for a truly memorable evening. Highly recommend!
BlueBlood Steakhouse thank you for making my 19 year old daughter s birthday dinner one of the most uncomfortable and regrettable experiences. From the moment her and her boyfriend showed up your staff made her feel uncomfortable like they didn t belong there. Her and her boyfriend were looking forward to this evening and got all dressed up only to have such a horrible experience with my daughter calling me in full anxiety attack. She has had suffered enough with mental health during the lock downs. I would have never expected that from your restaurant. I was hoping that at least their dinner was good, you would expect that from a $130 steak but unfortunately they were barely able to cut it and chew it. The lobster Mac and cheese smelled fishy which only made her feel nauseous. Fishy smells usually means it wasn t fresh. If your staff don t enjoy working there then they should find somewhere else to work and not huff and puff when they weren t ready to order or giving them looks like they didn t belong there. That was a big waste of $350 they should have stuck to the Keg, they never had a bad experience there. You won t be losing me as potential customer because you are just way too expensive but I will definitely not recommend your restaurant to any of my clients and being a limo driver I do get asked about good restaurants quite often. Very disappointing.
Beautiful venue both inside and out. Expect to pay for parking. Its fine dining, so definitely not a place for kids.
Amazing food as usual and great service. Will definitely visit again
Amazing Restaurant service, atomosphere was beautiful food was delicious our servers name was Monica 10/10
We had the absolute pleasure of dining at BlueBlood Steakhouse last weekend. The most unique thing about BlueBlood is the location. BlueBlood is located at Casa Loma with dining options inside and outside. Outside, they have glass domes which each accommodate one dining table for a private experience, on an elevated patio, overlooking the city. Indoor dining is located in the Oak Room with beautiful and comfortable tufted leather booths or tables with comfortable chairs. The decor blends the historic wood panelling with modern art and antler chandeliers. It feels like you are in an extravagant dining room, not in a restaurant. We were greeted promptly and taken to our indoor booth where our server Sue introduced herself, and chatted with us about the restaurant. Sue was very professional, attentive and she made us feel like we were dining in someone s home, as opposed to a restaurant. While we were deciding on our orders, the first item that came to our table was a dish brimming with individual sized cheese buns (I forgot what they were called) and herbed, whipped butter. They were fresh baked, soft and absolutely delicious, with a sharp cheese flavour. We decided to order apps to share: short rib ravioli and house made gravlax. There were 4 raviolis so we each got to try one and they were topped with short rib which was tender and full of flavour, they came in a delicious medium-thick sauce with peas. This dish was so good that we ordered a second one. The gravlax came with 2 pieces of salmon with cream cheese rolled in the centre, topped with fresh dill. The fish was fresh, with a light smoked taste, complimented by the velvety cream cheese and the dill which gave the dish a bright punch. Next came our salads: chopped salad and table side Caesar. The chopped salad was enormous and would have easily served all 4 of us. It was filled with fresh chopped vegetables, arranged like a rainbow on the plate. The dressing was delicious and perfectly proportioned. The table side Caesar was an event. The server who made the salad showed us all the ingredients he was going to use and asked if there were any we wanted to omit. He then chatted with us while adding all the ingredients, one at a time, with the bowl tilted so that we could watch the dressing come together. He then mixed it all up and it was also delicious. The dressing was flavourful, house made croutons were excellent as was the bacon. Next we had our main courses. We ordered several different steaks (filet, striploin and wagyu), they were beautifully seasoned, with perfect crust , all prepared exactly to our desired level of doneness. The highlight of the steaks was my son s wagyu tasting plate with 4oz each of US wagyu, Japanese A5 and Australian wagyu. I ordered the filet which was perfectly cooked, absolutely delicious and very tender but I was blown away by the small bites of Wagyu my son gave me to try. It was velvety soft, almost melted in my mouth and had so much flavour. For side dishes we ordered garlic mashed potatoes, polenta squares and Kennebeck fries fried in duck fat. The mashed potatoes were creamy smooth, with just enough butter and garlic. The polenta squares were crispy outside and soft inside with a tangy dip. The fries were chunky cut so that they could be crispy outside and soft but fluffy inside. The duck fat gives them incredible flavour. For dessert we ordered table side baked Alaska, table side banana crepes, apple pie and cheesecake. The table side preparation of the baked Alaska and crepes were beautifully executed. The baked Alaska had the most silky smooth meringue with creamy delicious ice cream, tangy gelato and most cake inside. The banana crepes were delicate and sweet, with a delicious sauce. The entire meal was spectacular! It surpassed similar meals we have had at Harbour 60 and Ruth s Chris steakhouse. A big part of what made it so great was the staff and their attention to detail. We will definitely be coming back again. Parking: If you arrive before 5pm while visitors are still touring the castle, it s a challenge to find parking as the lot fills up. Just be patient and someone will leave soon.
It was ok... Tenderloin was cold throughout for a medium rare, waitress poured my father a glass of water and completely missed the glass never realizing it we had to stop her from pouring more. For the price we paid for dinner my expectations were alot higher then what we got... Would I come back? I dont know at this point... Update they obviously dont care about customer reviews never bothered reaching out to even try appoligizing or make up for this not like we spent over 1000$ on our dinner that evening definetly will never return at this point.
Amazing place, great food and service.
Amazing service!!
Been here before and we loved it the first time. Other than the valet drivers who were obnoxious. Second time came to celebrate a special day with my girlfriend, the steak was not even close to being warm, it was room temperature at best. Same goes for the fries and the baked potato. Very disheartening, this is a place that charges close to $100 a steak and $25 for a starch. Theres just no excuses for cold food when you are charging those prices. Our server was nice but he had a bigger party he was serving and he maybe swung by the table once. The manager was nice and apologized and took some drinks off, hence the 3 star. But overall, for a luxury/bougie restaurant experience, food cannot be cold. Left disappointed
I went to Casa Loma for the Frank Sinatra symphony, decided to have dinner at BlueBlood restaurant. Had a nice time at the restaurant but sadly woke up the next day with food poisoning (I hadn t had any other food that day)- rash on my face, vomiting and diarrhea. Pretty awful food experience :/
Terribly disappointing meal and experience and it was outrageously expensive. The best part was the dining room which is grand and pretty (although there is some questionable art choices). The food was bad - 3 of the 7 steaks ordered were overcooked. The service was poor. Our server was not experienced enough and did not tend to our table appropriately. He also struggled with splitting the bill evenly 6 ways. Wait time for drinks and food was long. 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill and then the gratuity was TAXED so we actually paid almost 23%. Taxing gratuity is a SCAM! Don t bother eating here there are so many other steakhouses that offer better food and dining experience. Go to Morton s, STK, Ruth s Chris, and Hy s they are much better.
Birthday dinner, food and service outstanding!
That painting of Prince though... love it.
Best eating experience I ve ever had. Octopus, short rib ravioli, crab fritters tomahawk steak with mushrooms, mashed, and broccolini
BlueBlood Steakhouse in Casa Loma is more than just a restaurant; its an experience. Whether youre celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a luxurious meal, the combination of exquisite food, exceptional service, and a breathtaking setting makes this steakhouse a standout choice in Toronto. Prepare to be enchanted by both the culinary delights and the majestic surroundings
Everyone was super nice and welcoming, the reason we came here is for my daughters graduation and when we left the kind waiter gave her a card that said good luck with grade 6, my daughter was reallly happy and overall such a good experience
Such a special place to celebrate our anniversary, they took amazing care of us and we will for sure be back 10/10
Good steak I certainly attest to that. Does it justify the 250 cad price tag per person? Am not sure at all.. equally good options are available in Toronto for much less..
Came for a birthday celebration and wasnt disappointed. Great steaks. Outstanding service.
Server Terrence was amazing!
It was not pretty good experience! Lobster mac & cheese , and coconut pie were fire I loved the experience! Service was Excellent, a big shoot to Terance
Parking: ok Food
Casa Loma Castle and Blue Blood Steak House exceeded expectations! The castles historic charm and elegant atmosphere paired perfectly with the steakhouses upscale ambiance and attentive staff, led by our excellent server Dejan. The food was phenomenal, with expertly prepared dishes and sublime flavors. Highly recommend for a special occasion or night out. Kudos to Dejan and the team for a fantastic evening Parking: 20 dollars
This is a restaurant we ve frequented many times and it has never disappointed. Yes, it s pricy, but great food, ambience and excellent service do not come cheap. Whether you are dining inside or on the patio, you will have the best seat in the house. Anything you order will be great but some of our favourites are the tomahawk steak, duck fat fries, Caesar salad, crab cakes,.. go ahead and order it all!!
Great experience at Blue Bloods steakhouse. We loved the view sitting on the patio. Perfect romantic dinner for couples. We loved the cheese biscuits, and portions were fair. The view of the Toronto skyline sitting on the patio was gorgeous (especially during sunset time). The staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!
Very mediocre. The space isn t as warm as you d like it to be, and the steaks were what you d expect out of a chain steakhouse. Staff were nice for the most part but definitely pick and choose which customers to pay more respect and attention to.
Very good experience and highly recommended for date, Bday and any special event!
I have been to BlueBlood multiple times and it never disappoints! It is truly the best steakhouse in the GTA. Everything from the atmosphere to service level to food quality is outstanding. I feel truly taken care of whenever I visit and this will forever be my favourite restaurant! Thank you to BlueBloods beautiful team for always providing an amazing experience. Whatever you re doing, keep up the good work! I appreciate you all! And if anyone gets a chance to come here, this is your sign to try it out! 5 stars from me always. <3
Love the Japanese filet mignon
Extremely disappointed. We have dined here a couple times now and each time had been a great experience; however, the most recent visit was awful. The food was mediocre at best and the service was clunky and at times rude. The steak was not cooked consistently, and one was not to our liking. The quality of steak this time was extremely poor compared to any previous visits. It was tough and contained fat and grisly chunks. We sent one of the steaks back to be cooked slightly more but all they did was broil it, it melted some fat and dried the steak out. We didnt finish much of the meal and no resolution was provided. Additionally, one server kept hanging near the table but didnt ask us if we needed anything even when glasses were empty. The garlic potatoes are usually to die for but this time lacked seasoning. The gnocchi was also underwhelming this time, which is usually my fav. Given that the food and service combined were so poor I am hesitant to revisit. Not even close to the standard you expect from this type or restaurant, take your money elsewhere. Also has anyone else noticed all the fruit flies?!
Just had our very nice dining experience in Blueblood for our 2nd year anniversary. We ordered Australian Lamb with Pistachio crust (perfect medium and portion pretty big), Canadian AAA Striploin (perfect medium, and pretty thick cut), Lobster Mac & Cheese (nice and very filling) and Baked Alaska (for dessert - amazing fire show), also ordered the Asparagus (perfect crunch) and the spinach with quail egg (yum!). We were expecting food portion to be small, so ended up ordering too much but they provided takeout boxes in a really nice cotton tote bag (fancy!). Gio is our main server, super friendly and warm guy, we really like him. We had other server that is very attentive too, he kept noticing that I dropped my napkins 3 times unknowingly, and so kept bringing replacement (really appreciate it!). The service here is really to the next level - just amazing. We also got a special gift for our anniversary, what a nice gesture :))) For the big portions and so many food, our total for 2 people is $316 + tips , which we think is very reasonable for the food quality and quantity. Thank you Blueblood for making our anniversary so special! Parking: We arrived around 1:30pm on a Saturday, as we were planning to visit the museum first before dinner. The parking cost is $20 flat fee all day, theres quite a lot of cars but its still easy to find a spot.
A First-Time Experience During a recent visit to BlueBlood Steakhouse, nestled within the grand confines of Casa Loma, my expectations were met with a blend of sophistication and slight disappointment. For a venue celebrated for its exclusivity and culinary prowess, I anticipated an experience that would mirror its esteemed reputation. However, what unfolded was a mix of highs and lows that left me contemplating the establishments widespread acclaim. The restaurants ambiance undoubtedly sets a high bar, with an aesthetic that marries luxury with history, offering diners a unique setting. The design and atmosphere are commendable, encapsulating the essence of its prestigious location. Yet, an unwelcome draft at our seating area added an unintended chill to the experience.Service began on a rushed note, with interactions that felt surprisingly impersonal for a venue of BlueBloods caliber. Our waiter, who remained unnamed, brought over the drink menu and placed it on our table and said you can go through it and let me know what you would like I will be right back, then upon returning he swiftly moved on to take our order, leaving little room for a leisurely dining experience. The pace at which our starters were served only furthered this sentiment, arriving before our drinks, which oddly lagged behind. On a positive note, the culinary presentations did not disappoint. The octopus and table-side Caesar salad were both a feast for the eyes and the palate and the portions were more then enough for 2, showcasing the kitchens ability to deliver on taste and presentation. These starters were the highlights of our meal, setting a promising stage for the mains. However, the centerpiece of our meal, a 35-day aged striploin steak, fell short of expectations. Despite its promising description, the steak lacked the depth of flavor I had anticipated, especially when compared to steaks from more mainstream establishments. While the truffle potato gratin and mushrooms served as commendable sides, they could not overshadow the mains underperformance. The dessert, a flambéed banana crepe prepared table-side, provided a delightful end to our meal, marrying spectacle with sweetness in a way that momentarily revived our spirits. In reflection, my visit to BlueBlood Steakhouse was a journey of peaks and valleys. While certain aspects like the ambiance and select dishes impressed, the overall experience felt lacking, particularly when considering the price point. It was a worthwhile visit for the novelty, but with the plethora of steakhouse options in Toronto, my return seems unlikely. BlueBlood Steakhouse, in my eyes, stands as a testament to the idea that sometimes, the sizzle can indeed overshadow the steak. Parking: $20 to park and $25 to do valet, I didn t think this is too bad of a price
Superior service and care. Beautiful ambiance. Was nice to enjoy a dinner after visiting the Casa Loma, the restaurant is inside Casa Loma. Flo, the manager, went above and beyond to make my young children feel welcomed. The waiter was also very observant and nice.
Delicious food, great service, and beautiful decor
I dealt with Jaclyn in organizing my husbands birthday (including the Rolls Royce pick up and drop off). I can honestly say dealing with Jaclyn was the best experience I ve had in many years when it comes to customer service. She went above and beyond for me. The driver Jacob and the restaurant itself proved to be a very special experience. The service and food matched the price point as there is no other experience (castle in the city) like it! I highly recommend especially for a special occasion
I cant say enough good things about my visit here! Jesse, our server, was an absolute star. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made our night extra special. The food was out of this world! Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the atmosphere was elegant but cozy.
I highly recommend the Miso glazed Chilean sea bass dish. Its one of the best fish dish. Crispy skin, cook to perfection underneath with tenderness. I really enjoyed the miso sauce since its light but flavorful without over powering the delicatecy of the fish. I also enjoyed the chiled jumbo prawns. The house made cocktail sauce was complex and delicious, the prawns were firm and a good balance between moist and dry. The presentation was cool with dry ice smoke. Service was attentive and prompted Decor is generally what you will expect from Casa Loma / old mansion, however, there are some contemporary paintings on the wall, which give a contrasting vibe / twist.
You certainly get what you pay for. High-end service, attentive wait staff (Alex). Food was amazing and cooked to perfection.
The food quality is good. We ordered 5 appetizers. I ordered a castle dry steak in medium with scallops but it was medium well. DISAPPOINTED three scallops very salty. Also in my friend s jumbo scallops with Nero Risotto too. very disappointed
AMAZING!!!!!
I brought my fiancée for his birthday dinner here to end the night. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely, very clean environment and had a gorgeous table reserved in the globe. The food was quite good but unfortunately our waiter was extremely dreadful, he was training a lovely lady and SHE was amazing. Our knives were sharpened before our meal ahead of time, the globe had a heater, and my lemon was wrapped for an easier squeeze which made me very happy. Overall the scenery was a compensation for the price. Paid ($600) for two people
Food was amazing I would love to try the whole thing eventually, the Silk Road drink I had was very subtle in taste and a bit sweet which did not bother me. The atmosphere is quite lovely there are two different sides and I found the one my party was in was more rustic and old school the paintings and lighting bounced off everything in an admiring way. I find with high end steakhouses like these, the food is always better than the service, being young and not the most outlandish when arriving to a dinner the service we were being offered probably isn t the best which is sad because we are being judged literally by our looks. Our main server was delightful I believe his name was Sergio, he was absolutely lovely but the runners for the food were horrible and unfriendly, two of them even made rude comments about us making there job difficult and huffing and puffing walking by or that we subliminally told one of them we expected them to take all of our dishes at once when nothing was said and we were moving the plates closer to their side of the table. To quote As you can see my hands are clearly full I cannot take your plate. when nothing was said. I would do a better job being a runner here lol. Shoutout Sergio though.
I really recommend this place. The steak was a tad salty, but still good. The waiter was super nice and made my birthday memorable.
We were visiting Casa Loma and we noticed the restaurant so we gave it a try. We didnt have a reservation but we were able to have a table for three. The food was very good but a bit expensive, I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions, we spent about $700 dollars total, including the tip. We had one appetizer, some oysters, dinner, dessert and one bottle of wine. I will definitely come back another time. We had a great experience.
great for site seeing & history
I took my wife here for our wedding anniversary. The setting and ambiance were amazing and are definitely a big part of the experience. Given the high price point and grandeur of the restaurant our expectations were high, but unfortunately the food didn t quite deliver. We ordered a tomahawk steak to split, as well as the garlic mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms as sides. For a starter we had the octopus. The sides were tasty but the steak and octopus were letdowns. The steak could have been charred more on the outside and was a little tough on the inside, and the octopus was a little chewy. I ve been to other top steakhouses (Harbour 60, Jacob s, Barbarians), all of which have better steak. In fact, in my personal opinion I d rather go to The Keg. Overall, I m glad we came as we both enjoyed the beauty of the restaurant and the top notch service, but given a $500+ bill for mediocre food, I don t think we will be back.
Below average food in a fantastic setting and a great service. The place is strange. You will have a great service but a cold steak not cooked to your liking.
Our server Gio was fantastic! So nice and fun to talk to. The food was meh for the over inflated price. The table side Ceasar was the most flavorful part of the meal. Scallops and squid ink risotto was bland and boring, the 30+ day aged strip was nothing special. Unimpressed with the food, I thought it would have been better for a 400+ dollar meal.
The food here is amazing!!! You can even go for just the appetizers and you would be full. Our server Shawn was awesome!!! Really down to earth while other servers seemed like they didn t even care to be there. The profiterole dessert was sooooo good!!!
Service, apps, sides, and drinks were all great. Steak was just good but not great.
This is a special place, incredible venue with amazing food and service. Add a Scallop or Shrimp to your steak they are perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned to perfection
Had dinner there last night. Top notch service, amazing steaks. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Overall, I d recommend! Lovely atmosphere. I have been a few times now and each time does not disappoint. Great food and service! Food : 5/5
I really wanted to love this place. Right off the bat the atmosphere is amazing, its a restaurant in a castle. The booths are comfy and spacious and the service is excellent. The food however was a let down. The appetizers were not appetizing, the salad was warm and the steaks were served at room temp. Ive had a steak 10x better at Ruths Chris for a fraction of the cost. I got the Japanese Wagyu and my partner got the Barrel Cut Fillet, both were served at room temperature. Dont get me wrong, the steaks were good but it did not justify the $1000 bill. The food was subpar. For the experience I would say it is worth it to come here once for the atmosphere but if youre looking for a great steak there are so many better options. Parking: Parking is $20
Excellent dinner and customer service experience
Overall, we had a really lovely dinner. One thing that did disappoint me was the service. For the price we were paying, it definitely should have been better. Our main server was pretty cold and unenthusiastic. It felt like he didn t want to be there as he seemed gloomy the whole time he interacted with us. Not sure if it was because my partner and I are younger or he was having a bad day but it definitely made the experience less enjoyable. The food was delicious though, I absolutely loved the truffle potato gratin lobster mac and cheese. Our steaks were done beautifully as well. We also got the table side caesar salad which was really good. The server explained everything that was going into the salad and we had the option to take out anything we didn t like. We also got the table side baked Alaska for two. Where they used alcohol and lit the dessert on fire. The inside of the dessert tasted really rich and creamy but the outside just tasted like alcohol. We still really enjoyed it. Would say it s more for the experience then anything. Parking: Parking at the castle was $20.
Amazing!
I can t say enough good things about Jaclyn Grant. She was amazing and made the experience incredible. Jaclyn went above and beyond, offering invaluable guidance and helping me plan the details. Thanks to her expertise my event was a huge success. I m grateful for her support and the team at the restaurant highly recommend Jaclyn for anyone looking to create a memorable event!
My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary - fine dining in a castle, what more could you ask for? The service was fantastic and the steaks were to die for. Highly recommend trying your steaks with the different salts offered!
Great evening with grandchildren coming from Montreal
Great for special occasions. Parking: Parking with reservation Food : 5/5 |
Great service and atmosphere, but steak were just ok.
so bad experience The first really bad restaurant that i eat in Toronto. The steak canadian AAA rib eye medium rare tastes very pungent, its also burnt on the outside and bleeding on the inside. scallop on rice is cold. Tuna tartar very salty. The table next to us came an hour later than us, and all the dishes were served.; We only had two appetizers in two hours . I called four servers to help charge my phone, waited for half an hour to get it charged, and then waited for another half an hour to get it back. There are many waiters and few customers in the store, but they always forget to help us.
Extremely nice restaurant, with good service, very good food. Good value for your money with satisfactory portion sizes, especially for deserts that were huge. Definitely recommend it.
The best steakhouse Toronto has to offer. Everything is 5 stars. Their servers & in-house wine sommelier are very friendly, extremely courteous and highly knowledgeable. Will always come here for special occasions. They used to have a complimentary bottle of truffle oil on every table back in the day but they seem to have scrapped that as of 2023. Bring that back & I will gladly give this place 6 stars. Very pricey obviously but worth every penny!
Family Christmas meal with our daughters. Relaxing, scrumptious meal.
We had an amazing dinner at BlueBlood! Jaclyn, the Maître D, was the best! She helped me arrange the dinner for my friend who is having a baby soon. She was extremely responsive and helped during the entire process. She arranged us to have a fantastic table by the window and get us a dessert included for the celebration. It s a great place for any occasion and they will treat make sure you have a special time.
Wonderful food! Everything was extremely tasty and very well done. The place has beautiful decoration and the value for money is ok for a place of this level.
Went here for date night and it was a great experience. We ordered the table side Caesar salad which was the best Caesar salad Ive ever tasted. We also ordered the wagyu steak burger with giant fries and giant scallops with risotto covered with squid ink. Both were really flavourful. The ambiance was great as it was in the castle. The waiting staff were really helpful and accommodating. We would definitely come again for another date night.
Very polite staff, service was impeccable, menu offers great variety of dishes and amazing quality of steaks - very nice atmosphere Highly recommended ! Food
You definitely get what you pay for. Service was 6 Gabrelia was amazing. Thank you for a ln experience.
The food quality has gone down significantly. Tried two drinks both very mediocre. Really disappointed.
Ordered a medium rare rib eye and it came out completely rare was pretty average for the price paid. Service was also very slow
This was a special dinner celebrating the season for my wife, her best friend and I. Starting from the Valet parking to the beautiful surroundings and dinning room the ambiance and initial experience was perfect. The service was ok but not memorable for the price point. Expectations were high and underwhelmed in this regard. The food was much the same, enjoyable for the most part, but not what I hoped for the price point. Having said that I was just getting over a cold so my taste buds were not on point so maybe I was missing some of the flavours. Overall would give this restaurant another chance for sure since it s such a beautiful and romantic location. I notice the small things and the person Valet Parking was so friendly and polite so that was appreciated and noticed.
Beautiful restaurant, incredible food and the greatest service I ve received in any restaurant from Ramy. My wife and I have been fortunate to have travelled the world and enjoyed the services and hospitality of different countries, but Ramy topped every other service we ve experienced. Thank you, Ramy. Your service, hospitality and knowledge of the food/menu are exemplary and should be the reference point for what great service is. Hope that the team and management group recognize the value of your work and kindness.
Ribeye steak was amazing!
Food was delicious plus the ambience around was intoxicating. I liked the Roasted salmon.
I wanted to propose to my girlfriend and chose BlueBlood inside the gorgeous and historic Casa Loma as the perfect location for it. They connected me to Jaclyn their manager of guest relations and she was phenomenal from the start! She was easy to reach and reassured me that the idea that I wanted done would be done immaculately. They sent a Rolls Royce to pick us up and bring us to Casa Loma. Shortly after I went upstairs with my gf where the hallway led to a room fully decorated with rose petals and flower arrangements. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! My gf was beyond surprised and fully in shock. It was a incredible proposal that both of us will never forget. I cant thank Jaclyn enough for all the careful attention she put on all the small details! It was much better than I had imagined! :) We then went down to the restaurant where the wait staff were all aware of our special night and they made us feel like VIPs the whole night. They seated us at the best booth of the restaurant with flowers on our table. The food was fantastic and the ambiance was the best weve ever experienced. Thank you to the several staff members that made our special night that much more incredible!! We went back home with the luxurious Rolls Royce to end the night perfectly. Jacob was a very friendly driver and took several great pictures of us.
My children treated my wife and I for a Christmas dinner. The parking lots were full because of an event and we had to park down the street. We had reservations, so we were seated right away. The prices seemed a little high but when we started eating, wow, it was absolutely fantastic! Everything tasted wonderful, the service was great, and the entire family enjoyed our time!
We are a family of 3 that first time in Canada and we picked this place for new years the day we had the castle tour we ran in to the restaurant it was amazing one of the best food and places we have ever being around the world . The live symphony top it off 10 star place ,
The bar was a beautiful area for drinks & desserts love the ambiance here!
BlueBlood has been one of my favorite steakhouse for a date in Toronto rn. The vibe is so good, and the taste is amazing. I really like the steak and grilled octopus, the dessert is great as well. One of the best place to celebrate anniversary or special occasions!
Food was amazing! Had a great time, the staff were very nice. Must try the signature drink!
Service is impeccable, cant say enough about the service and atmosphere. I feel that the food is slightly overpriced. Great to impress and Client or if you have a special occasion.
Pricey, but absolutely beautiful inside and the food was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Two steaks, two sides, and a few drinks. Everything was perfect!
How would you like to have your dessert flambéed table-side? Dishes like the classic Caesar salad and the baked Alaska are finished table-side, giving its patrons the Royal treatment. BlueBlood Steakhouse offers a variety of steak cuts from around the world, including Wagyu from Mishima Reserve (U.S.A.), MB9+ (Australia), and A5 (Japan). The menu also features steak house classics, and seafood towers if you prefer. The Wagyu tasting menu includes all three types of Wagyu. Casa Loma was built in 1914 by Sir Henry Pellatt, a prominent Canadian financier and military officer. The castle was designed by E.J. Lennox, one of the most prominent architects in Toronto at the time. BlueBlood Steakhouse opened its doors in 2017.
Extremely incredible experience at Blueblood Steakhouse in Casa Loma. The atmosphere is incredible and you feel regal sitting at your table. The food is pricey but delicious. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the sides are incredibly tasty as well.
Everything about this restaurant was amazing except for the steak itself. My ribeye was dry and tough to eat, it was also too charred. Our server was very diligent and gave us a thorough run down of the menu. The garlic whipped potatoes were the best potatoes we ve ever had and the table-side cesar salad was also great. Complimentary gougères were given and was very tasty. We got the profiteroles for dessert and was impressed.
