Amazing service for our staff holiday party

I have been going to Hys for close to 40 years in various locations throughout Toronto. Until now, I was always a loyal fan. My most recent visit was to the new location on Bay St. It certainly has character, but that was the only redeeming quality. The food has taken a back seat to the hype and price. Two people had two cocktails and 2 glasses of wine each, one appetizer shared, and one main course shared. Price over 300 $. Ceaser salad was a shadow of its former self. No bacon with virtually no seasoning. Strip Loin was tough overdone and tasteless. This, of course, included nothing additional,not even bread. In contrast I just went to the famous Gibbys Steakhouse in Old Montreal where I had the exact same meal for 40% less and the food was impeccable and included bread, pickles, sorbet,baked potato,vegetables,wedge salad and a wonderful atmosphere. Astalavista Hys!!

I had an amazing time with my friends last Saturday. The food was really incredible and delicious also the drink was above and beyond.

Came here tonight for dinner, paid four 450 for two people and was still hungry. Not worth the money. I asked for my lamb medium done, and it came Well done.

We had Liz as a server and she was amazing, so accommodating to my family and I. I came with my almost 3 year old, and she never made me feel out of place. Granted, hes a really well behaved boy, but still a gamble! it was such a good experience for my son to have, and Liz made it so memorable for us. My mom and I got the gorgonzola steak and Neptune steak and both were excellent...cooked perfectly. We also shared a side of cream corn that my mom still cant stop talking about! It was our birthday (my son and I) and Liz brought out some ice cream for my son and the creme brulee that I ordered. It was my moms first time trying creme brulee and she loved it! And shes picky! I just enjoyed the experience so much and I appreciate Liz being so accommodating and polite. She knew the menu so well, and explained all the differences in the dishes for us so we were well educated before making our decision. I really appreciate her and the quality of food. We also talked with the band that was playing and they were so sweet and talkative with my son. Overall, I felt so good leaving. Amazing experience.

Food, service and ambiance, all excellent. Dec. 10, 2024 - Hys provided an exceptional dining experience, they never disappoint! The crab cakes were absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of crispiness and flavor. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and expertly seasoned. And the Belgian chocolate cake? Simply divine rich, indulgent, and the perfect sweet finish. To top it all, the service was impeccable, attentive, and made the retirement lunch even more special. Highly recommended for an unforgettable meal!

The atmosphere and dining experience itself was lovely, but I must say the food was very sub-par. I was rather disappointed in the beef wellington as-well as the chicken dish! The quality just wasnt there. Being my first experience coming here, I sadly wouldnt return :( !

The ambiance and entertainment was very nice, the drinks were tasty. The food was a disappointment . The table side ceaser salad was underwhelming and was made with no love, the lettuce did not taste fresh and the ingredients were lacking, it tasted like a small amount of packaged salad dressing was added with parm and croutons thrown on top, the Oysters Rockefeller tasted like an overwhelming amount of spinach dip in an oyster shell, Im not sure if there was an oyster in there . Would be a fantastic choice if you like Spinage dip. We had the aged bone in Rib steak, and the regular Rib Steak for the table. The aged steak had a liver like flavor to it, if you enjoy this type of flavour you may enjoy this, however it was unanimous among our table that it was not a preferred flavor. The creamed corn tasted like it may have come from a can and the creamed spinage was a baby food texture, not great. The crab cakes were good, and Zack our waiter provided pleasant service.

Visited this location Saturday night and was really excited to try it as I love the Calgary location. When you first walk in atmosphere and the live music was beautiful. Sadly that changed once we ordered our food started with the soup of the day which I m not going to lie, tasted like dirty sink water without any seasoning. We followed that up with a medium rare New York and a medium rare fillet. The fillet came out about medium well and my girlfriend asked for a new one. The second one came out and was blue rare. She sent it back again and they cooked the same steak which still managed to come out blue rare.. Since I was done, she ate it anyways, as she was very hungry coming from the Christmas market. They thought they made up for a horrible meal by giving us two free desserts. As a high-end steakhouse I at least assume the one thing they could do would be cook a steak.

If you have never experienced Hy s cheese toast run there now!! Amazing!

Came here for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint.. We were seated upstairs overlooking the bar which was really nice. We had Tye as our waiter and he was very attentive and pleasant. We first ordered apps and drinks and told him wed order the mains later, one thing I appreciated was that he didnt rush us to order mains, even after we were finished our apps. We ordered the cheese toast, at first I was skeptical about it but it was delicious. The cheese they used wasnt overpowering in flavour and it was actually melted on the bread. We also go escargots which were good. We got the beef wellingtons and those were amazing. The pastry was nice and flaky, the sauce at the bottom was a nice touch and the meat itself was nice and tender. We got the Banana foster for dessert which was prepared tableside by Natalia, she was great as well. They had live music playing and it wasnt too loud, you were able to have a conversation without shouting. Definitely will be back soon. The lounge area downstairs seemed very nice and spacious so its definitely worth checking out. If youre looking for a steakhouse, this place is it!

Honestly, the food is going downhill. Baked potato sucked, beef Wellington was okay and mushy and my partner got the prawns and scallops and they were okay. I feel like food quality has dropped. Service was good and enjoyable but honestly I would rather go to the keg.

The mashed potatoes were so good! Tableside Caesar salad was a hit. Convenient location within the core.

Had the worst and most expensive food of my life here. It was a tough competition between whether it was mor unapeealing to taste or to the eye (see this banana foster pic). After eating the banana foster dessert here, I am unable to go anywhere near banana. What do I say about the pasta - Now who puts boiled mushrooms in a pasta!

My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement here last Saturday (October 19) and it was spectacular! Our server Gabriel was knowledge, kind, and made our evening even more special. The food was delicious! We started with a French onion soup and onions rings, our mains were the New York Strip and the Rib Steak. Highly recommend! Absolutely loved it.

We went as a group for a birthday party and our server Shannon was great! Classic venue with great food and wine. Wedge salad is always my favourite with a lot of blue cheese and oysters are very fresh. Steak options are great and side dishes are large enough to be shared. Wish they had steak on the kids menu though! They only had other items on the kids menu so I had to order a full sized steak for my son which he could not finish. Vegetarian options: Pasta, salads

This is one of my go-to steakhouses in Toronto as they have fair prices and their steak with mashed potatoes is so good. The best is the Hy s cheese bread though! Though this time, we went for lunch and wanted to order 2 of those and a starter and a main and the server asked us to order more mains instead and called it a light lunch . Considering it was 11:30am and we know our portions I d say the service was a bit uncomfy but otherwise the food was good. We also did end up following their suggestion and ordered more mains and it was too much food.

While it may be on the pricier side, the experience is well worth it. The quality of food is exceptional, each dish prepared with care and creativity. The service is attentive and professional, making sure every need is met without being intrusive. Ceased salad came with tableside service. Fresh and fun. Scollops was okay, taste of sauce overwhelmed the food itself. Steak Neptune came with shrimp and sauce. Steak was okay, but the sauce was a bit too much. Steak AU POIVRE was okay. Grilled mushrooms was the best! Rich and juicy, full of flavors. Revisited the place. Tried Porterhouse steak and New York strip. Steak was much better than all the classics I had tried before. Porterhouse was pretty good. Seasonal vegetables are roasted squash. New York strip was a bit overcooked and old.

Recently came here to celebrate my birthday and cant express enough how great this place is, the food was to die for and our server Zach was amazing, He made our experience one to remember! will definitely be coming back..

Good food with a lot of business people if you are looking to network.

Extremely underwhelming experience. First and last time visiting. The place felt like a lesser version of the Keg and the food was pitiful for the price. I had to return the beef wellington, zero seasoning and tasted like boiled steak in some batter. In addition, for $75 the wellington literally comes with 4 small pieces of unseasoned asparagus (not cooked in oil or butter no salt or any seasoning) you couldnt at least put a little mash potatoes on the side or something or season the 4 pieces of asparagus??? As a replacement for the wellington was an 8oz steak which again was very underwhelming is this place afraid to season their food? No salt on the steak and the mash potatoes were bland and subpar. The rack of lamb was who knows how many days old, had a very gamey flavor and the meat was tough. Would not return.

Its more than fine dining at its best, it is an experience. Incredible staff made the evening feel special. The steak was cooked to perfection. The Bananas Foster is a new favourite. I love that it is cooked right at the table. Looking forward to my next visit.

We recently celebrated my brother-in-law s birthday at Hy s and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. We began the evening with drinks and appetizers in the bar, where Kristen took wonderful care of us, setting the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable start. The service throughout the night was impeccable, with Gabe and his team ensuring every detail was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, and the pacing of the courses was spot on, allowing us to savour each dish without ever feeling rushed something so many restaurants miss these days. The live band in the bar added a vibrant and classy touch to the atmosphere, making the evening even more memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we can t wait to return! Dietary restrictions: Our son has a life threatening allergy to all dairy and egg products and he had a safe and delicious meal at Hys. He loved the bacon/scallop bar appetizer and the rib steak. He cant wait to return!

Came here for a birthday and was pleasantly surprised with the food. Quality was very good and all food had great flavor. Portion size was a little small but I enjoyed greatly.

Good atmosphere and service. But the steak (I ordered the porterhouse) was bland and mediocre at best, especially considering its high price. The fries were pretty bad too. They smelled of overused, rancid oil. I have had better fries at A&W.

Being Theatre subscribers for years, we have always tried restaurants close to whichever venue we attended ... BUT I can now say that it is best to park near the theatre and then uber over to Hys to enjoy an ambiance at a table in their bar area which is unbeatable as well as the food and service ! All 4 of us agreed on this last night when we enjoyed super service with Vanessa and each of us applauded the great food. From now on, theatre night equals a 2 hour dinner at Hys at our pre-selected table in the bar area !

Had my wedding at Hys and had the most exceptional service and experience. I cannot recommend them enough. Alexandra was amazing to coordinate with, she set everything up according to our specifications and the rooms were flawless. Can t thank them enough.

Lets face it at these prices you are going to treat yourself. But is the price too much for PERFECT steak? Put it like this. It arrives at the table and you realize there are no condiments. Because the steak doesnt need them. Its perfectly seasoned. Mine came with mashed potatoes, a fluffy cloud of buttery yum and crucially not pureed to the point that you didnt know you were eating potatoes. I paired it with a Hendersons red lager. All good. Next time you want steak done right and they will seat you with no side-eye for being alone, come to Hys

Nice steakhouse with great service. One of our guests spilled water which drenched the other side (luckily they were off to the bathroom). The staff didn t miss a beat and put cloths to dry and and change everything before they got back. I got the Caesar salad with table side service and the crab cakes as appetizers. We got the steak feature which was supposed to be for 4-6 and 3 of us split. We were stuffed though don t think it would be enough for 6 unless they are light eaters. Had brussel sprout sides And key lime pie dessert. Typical steakhouse atmosphere and they had live music which was a bonus. Best part was the company! Came back for a date nice. They had live music. Cocktails were nice. Caesar salad was made table side. The escargots were nice. Beef wellington was decent. Steak Neptune was good though small. Bananas foster was also made table side and quite delicious.

I had dinner there lat week. My 8 oz fillet was tough, sinewy and inedible. By the time the female server came and offered to replace it I said by the time I get it and eat it it will be time to leave. So she removed it from the bill and I had no dinner to eat - except a dessert I ordered. Also, who ever heard of a bar with no blender?? I hadnt been here since just before the pandemic. Then I would have given it 5 stars. Now I give it 1 star.

Amazing dinner as always - but wanted to specifically recognize my waiter Tanya - whose elegance and poise made the night all the more memorable. Also the wine list is amazing and Tanya made a surprisingly sweet espresso!

Ive eaten at my share of Toronto steakhouses over the years (Harbour 60, Mortons, Ruths Chris...). I have to say that they are all great places to enjoy a fantastic steak. Having said that, if its for a special occasion, my fam and I always end up choosing one place above all others: Hys Steakhouse. I have never had a negative experience there with either the staff or my dinner. During COVID lockdown times we went so far as to drive all the way downtown just to get a meal from them (We dont live in the downtown area.). The Caesar Salad made at your table is the best Ive had in a resto. The escargot appetizer is also fantastic. Get their cheesy garlic bread and dip it into the escargot sauce. Youll thank me later. My go to cut here is the Bone-in Ribeye. Despite the fact that I likely shouldnt be eating 32oz. of meat in one sitting, it was SO good I polished it off. For dessert, you cant go wrong with any of their offerings, but the Salted Caramel Creme Brulee is my favourite. Yes, it tastes as good as it sounds! Theyre pricey, but not the worst out there for it. Theyre definitely not pretentious and the ambiance is top notch. Its a fancy resto that doesnt make you feel like you dont belong there. The staff are also a highlight, but when my fam and I go, we always try and ask for DORIAN. We first met him 7 years ago and his service plus the awesome way he treats my fam is a big reason why we come back. Its basically a tradition now for us! Thank you Hys Toronto! Heres to more memories to come!

Had my birthday dinner at Hys with a group of friends and It was absolutely spectacular! The service is friendly and professional. The attention to detail and level of attentiveness is incredible. A few gluten free options (the chocolate cake is rice flour!) which were good! Chef also came out to discuss cross contamination, as well as trace amounts of gluten in certain dishes. As a celiac, this was not a bad dining experience!

The atmosphere cultivated in Hys exudes luxury. The drinks were delectable, I had a purple reign while my husband had a paper plane. So good we had to have a second round. The steak was beyond our expectations! So full of flavor, rich, and delicious! Our server was professional and very relatable. It was an amazing experience I would love to have again.

We had reservation, but we didnt feel welcome there. They-servers might not see different tourists yet, so they are a little surprised us by their service (in a weird way). The steak is so chewy, not a good cut, the seafood are not fresh (I borned near the sea and I know which one is and which one isnt). The host is not really friendly, no smile. Wont come back, just for a try out.

Have yet to eat a less than perfect bite of lobster in Toronto and their lobster rolls were no exception. The prime rib sliders were also tender and very satisfying. I took some Key Lime Pie home which was very sweet and tart with a mousse-like consistency which I really enjoyed. McKenna was very efficient and delightful-excellent service.We also enjoyed the plump shrimp cocktail and the French Onion soup.

Great experience, beautiful atmosphere & sweet staff. Fairly pricey but excellent meals, great cocktails . Stake & mashed potatoes, jumbo shrimp, & purple cocktail were really good. Gabriel was also a five-star server, excellent recommendations & knowledge of the background of the restaurant.

Loved this restaurant, great vibe and food and amazing service. Their Wellington beef and the steaks were great; I wasn t a huge fan of Caesar salad but the dessert were great, especially the chocolate cake with ice cream Food

Always a great meal with fantastic service. Used to go often in enough when they had an Ottawa location. Now, the Toronto location is a special treat when Im in town.

Best lamb chops I ve had in the city so far. They were juicy & soft. 3 stars for atmosphere cause I would have liked some light music in the background.

Excellent steak for both my husband and myself. The potato that came with it was so/so if not, not good. The Caesar salad made table side was also not good. For the price I expected all the food to be excellent. The staff were very good in fact excellent. I may go again for the steak and hope they read my review and improve the sides which are just as important as the steak for a well rounded meal experience.

Went for Happy Hour and impressed by the luxurious décor. Walked up to the bar as most of the time I travel solo in hunt for the best Happy Hour experience in TO. The two bartenders seemed disinterested and did not say a word and it wasnt that busy. The situation worsened what I attempted to take a an empty seat. A patron claimed he had all 6 empty seats reserved for his party who werent even there. Effectively monopolizing the area. Shockingly, both bartenders remained silent, offering no assistance or explanation regarding the seating policy. I felt so unwelcome and frustrated and left without experiencing Hys renowned cocktails or bites. For a restaurant that prides itself on warm professional service they felt drastically short of expectations. Wont be back, maybe they could learn something from Carbon Bar, Pink Sky, AP or Luma Bars Magic Hour who really know how to wow their guests.

The front door staff, and the hostesses were lovely. Besides that there wasn t many positives. Appetizers were fine. The steak options were very very limited for a steak house . This may be a high-quality restaurant in Canada, but its nothing close to a New York steak house. Lastly the sparking water was terrible, tasted like carbonated toilet water. Cheers!

Great ambience for friends and dates. Superb drink choice and wine list with good selection of local VQA wines. The waitstaff were very friendly and professional Food was fantastic, our steak and lamb were well cooked to our preference. Overall a memorable experience!

Visiting Canada for the first time from Connecticut, USA. Hubby wanted a a steakhouse for his bday dinner & Hy s did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, live music, food was amazing, great service. Shout out to Tye who took care of us while we were there, he was amazing!

Hy s Steakhouse offers a charming atmosphere, but unfortunately, thats where the positives end. The decor and ambiance might appeal to those looking for a nostalgic dining experience, but the rest of the evening felt like a journey back in time in the worst way. The menu feels like it hasn t changed in decades, with dishes that are uninspired, lacking the innovation and presentation that s stuck in the past. The flavors were disappointingly bland, leaving much to be desired from a restaurant with such a reputation. Service was a hit or miss at times attentive, but other times it felt like we were forgotten, even though the restaurant wasn t particularly busy. It s clear that Hy s could use a serious update to both its menu and service to meet modern expectations and to stay relevant in today s dining scene.

Very impressive interior design and very impressive bill for the food we hardly enjoyed. Wine suggestion was not great. They run out of the beer my husband chose. Service was good. Our celebration of the small family event was overall spoiled. Was it a high end Toronto steakhouse?

The restaurant is overhyped. The food is disgusting with potatoes were salty. Had zero flavor. The steaks had a bad smell and tasted disgusting zero out of 10 zero I would never recommend and this is my last time coming here. The fries were horrible and burnt if you re trying the restaurants, I would never recommend this. Trust me.

We had an excellent experience at Hy s Steakhouse. It s a stylish and beautiful place with superb wine and top-notch service, definitely a must-visit in Toronto. The only downside was that since we came during lunchtime, they were only serving the lunch menu, which was limited. However, we tried the remarkable PORTERHOUSE steak, which was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, costing around 130 CAD. We also enjoyed the Crab Cake for 33 CAD. Overall, despite the limited lunch menu, the quality of the food and service makes Hy s Steakhouse a standout choice.

We went to Hy s for my son s graduation dinner. Everything from the service, food, atmosphere, and so on was amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants some good steak. We had the wellington, rack of lamb, diane, and NY strip and all was delicious. Our server McKenna was also super nice, friendly, and professional.

It was just great, quick service, explaining food and drink menu options, and just so comfortable. Everything was very tasty, cooked to perfection.

firstly, when we entered the restaurant we were greeted nicely the staff were really nice but, when we got the water we noticed something in the water. it was a bug, if i were dining at an expensive restaurant i would rather expect it to be sanitary there were so many fruit flies flying around our area. the food was good portion was so small and i got goosebumps when we saw the bugs in the water it is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary the waiter couldnt even give a proper apology, waste of money.

The lighting in the restaurant is dim but the atmosphere is good, the seats are comfortable, and it is a place where people can relax and enjoy themselves. The Caesar salad and bread are both good, the scallops are amazingly sweet and juicy, and the steak is above average. I will visit again.

Crab cake appetizer for $32 was just one tinyyy crab cake. Everything is overpriced and quality is definitely not what we are being charged. Had the beef Wellington and for the amount charged, the size and quality was not up to par. The atmosphere and the drinks were nice!

I have dined at Hys for years and this past weekend. Service is always 10/10 atmosphere is sophisticated and classy. You feel sexy walking into the open bar area.10/10. This is a steak house with the most amazing made at your table ceaser salad. I had the fish this weekend and presentation was perfection but was not cooked. I will forever be a steak girl here. Came here on a reservation with my parents for their anniversary. Staff were amazing, we got seated within a minute. More than two floors of dining area, with comfortable seats and nice atmosphere. Food was amazing (try the parmesan asparagus!) and came quick. Would come here again.

What else can I say but leadership makes a difference ! Jamieson is absolutely phenomenal. As a regular he makes sure that I want to come back again and again. Trang, Charmaine, Carole, Kristen and Prentice are so great! They all go above and beyond and show genuine interest and kindness. No surprise it is one of the busiest and top restaurants downtown, live music is a great added touch !

Pretty incredible place, that jettisons all the corporate stigma of a Morton s or Ruth s Chris. Loved every moment of my dinner here, and would certainly return again. Interior design feels very steakhouse like, but with a new feeling to it, and just enough outside light from the street. Food was outstanding.

Overall, great dining experience. I got the, cheese bread, French Onion Soup, crab cake, beef wellington, loaded baked potato, and the banana foster. Everything was delicious! Chairs were very comfortable but the lightning is a bit too dim.

Attended Hys over the weekend for dinner. As this was my first time at the restaurant, I had heard good things and was looking forward to it as the menu looked intriguing. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointment. From the mediocre service, to the very average tasting food, this was just an overall poor experience. Given the price of the food, the portions were so small and the food could have tasted better. $31 + HST for 1 single crab cake; common.... I found the Keg to be much better! Would never take my clients here. Never again!

I have been dinning at this restaurant for over 15 years and it used to have great steaks, but not anymore. I recently came here with 3 others celebrate a couple of birthdays. We ordered 4 different steaks and none tasted all that good. I had the steak Neptune and it was really bland. A friend who ordered the Beef Wellington medium rare, but it came medium to medium well done. Its sad to say that the best part of the meal was the cheese toast and jumbo scallops. I will not be returning to this establishment as there are better options at the same price point. I will give this place two thumbs up for its service and atmosphere.

We had a great experience here at Hy s. The food was great and the service was exceptional. It was a little noisy where we sat in the upper dining room as we were put near other bigger groups despite the restaurant being a little empty. Did not diminish the overall experience.

I ordered filet mignon I told them cook it to the chiefs liking he said medium rare when I got my steak with the first strike of my blade the stake seemed medium rare but by time I got to centre of stake it was not cooked one thing about me I don t sit in restaurants and complain about meal cause I m not looking for free meal .. but I ve been sick for almost a week and I m sure it all stemmed from the uncooked stake they served me. Great atmosphere tho

Over Priced for the service and food received. My wife and I planned for a nice quiet meal at Hys last Sunday evening; we will give Hys top marks for style and atmosphere, beautiful place. However the service was not good at all...service started out ok but quickly went down hill. We have both worked at restaurant and bars and always give servers a lot of leeway but at Hys, to have to ask for ketchup, twice, have to ask for salt and pepper to be brought to the table is not good service. I ordered a drink, drink was finished, server came by twice, to re-fill water/bring appetizers and didnt inquire about my drink or ask if I wanted another. I took my drink glass and laid it right at the edge of the table, so the server would see the empty glass upon his return, and nope nothing as the server took our appetizer plates away, he actaully moved the empty drink galss to the side so he could get the dishes. Finally he came back and stated the mains would be out shortly, then I asked for another drink. If the restaurant was busy we would understand, but the restuarant was at most 25% full. Wife and I both ordered the 10oz striploin medium, her with fries me with baked potato and I asked specifically for no Sour Cream, not really a fan of it. The mains arrived, a runner brought the meals, and my potato was loaded with sour cream. I waited a bit, no server checking in, and proceed to eat the baked potato...again not the end of the world but I asked for no sour cream. My steak was excellent but my wifes steak was like it was from the Ponderosa, small and very thin. Server finally came, wife had then ask for ketchup for her fries, her fries were hot and wife was happy, and the server said, hows the baked potato without the sour cream, to which I stated it had sour cream and he said, sorry, hoped you enjoyed anyhow. My wife commented to the server on how small and thin her steak was compared to mine....yes I gave wife half of my steak, my steak was much tastier, server said, Ill let management know about the steak, which mean nothing and we all know it. Server disappearred and we had to grab a passing food runner to get ketchup...wife was not happy. We got dessert to go, paid the bill, and as we left we were so disappointed with Hys on what we hoped would be a nice quiet enjoyable meal as we celebrated a milestone. Unfortuantely we will not be back anymore!

I had the 6oz filet and it was amazing. I have high standards for steak and Hys met/exceeded them. The service and ambience were nice too. Upscale but not overly stuffy/pretentious.

I would recommend any one to use hitect driving school..they are very good..very friendly customer service..I drive with Paul and hes a very cool person..be free to ask him any question while driving

The first restaurant my wife and I visited when we arrived in Toronto for vacation. The interior design and the décor was absolutely beautiful. The music that was played had a 70s vibe and was fantastic. Our server, Johnathon provided exemplary service. Probably one of the best servers we ever had. But the food... The food was absolutely sub par and not worth the ridiculous amount of money that was charged. The Cheese Toast appetizer was actually the best part of our meal. My wife had the Steak Neptune. She said the steak was incredible, but the crab meat on top was cheap and had no flavor whatsoever. Our server even had the chef remake the crab meat and it was the same. I had the Porterhouse. It was low quality, on par with a steak I could get at Outback or Longhorn. The Whipped Potatoes were good, but the Creamed Spinach was also flavorless. Well below the quality of a high end, expensive steakhouse.

What a wonderful evening. Wouldn t have been the same on our anniversary without the recommendations and conversations and outstanding service from our new friends Jimmy and Gabriel.

I ate here twice during my vacation to Toronto and was delighted with the food and service. Both times I had the rack of lamb with a side of asparagus. The lamb was cooked to perfection and an absolute pleasure to eat. I also had the banana fosters which was prepared by the table by our highly competent waitress.

We had exemplary service. My husband had sustained an injury en route to the restaurant and needed some ice and basic first aid items. The restaurant was amazing. The manager - Richard - looked after my husband and ensured his injury was looked after. We really appreciate this level of care. We had asked for ice and received first aid care. Our server - McKenna - was excellent. She was knowledgeable and helpful and provided excellent service. The food was outstanding. We will definitely return.

Came here for my birthday. Overall, good experience but not worth the price tag. Service was slightly slow but the servers themselves were nice. I will say, the NY steak was amazing in my opinion. The mashed potatoes, not so much. They were very bland, I prefer The Keg mashed potatoes. Now the mushrooms I could quite literally live off of them they were so delicious. The Caesar salad experience was nice (they make dressing from scratch in front of you) however, the table I was seated at it kept getting interrupted because there was another table being served around the corner from me. Delicious and authentic salad nonetheless. Apple crumble for dessert was good, nothing to write home about. Cr**khead putting on a show outside the window facing my table was a whole other experience.
