The food is Excellent, I recommend the black dragon roll Service is exemplary: there was a mistake with our delivery and when I arrived in person to clear it up they were already preparing the missing items, and even gave us some complimentary edamame.

The food was good and service fast. The table was dirty.

Unfortunately, an unpleasant situation happened today, I did not receive the order. the courier did not call me and did not bring the order to the door. although it was written that it was delivered. and after that I could not contact him.

My partner and I ordered Uber delivery from here for the first time. Everything was packed very well and was extremely quick. The food was all very fresh. The sashimi appetizer had a lovely assortment of fish and the avocado salad was very large. The rolls were delicious. We even got a free edamame with purchase. I will definitely order again or try to dine in. Update: we ve eaten here maybe 10 times. It is our go-to takeout food and we ve dined in twice. Excellent value for money and they re so busy it s always fresh. Vegetarian options: I got deep fried tofu and they have special vegetarian maki rolls (not just the basics)

I do not recommend it. The attitude towards visitors and deliverers is terrible and unacceptable. The smell in the restaurant is not very pleasant. Its not clean or tidy.

Horrible service, hardly any. They once screwed up my order forgetting one thing I paid for - when I called in 2 days later (store was about to close when I found out and then closed the day after) they basically told me to go kick a rock barefoot. They change prices and policies whenever they feel and dont give you a heads up, and let you find out at the cashier. Once a nice and affordable little local restaurant I was happy to support, now they lost me as a customer.

The best sushi Ive had in Toronto. As an eastcoaster, I had accepted that I wouldnt be touching sushi again until going home because the quality of seafood in this city is typically not great. Until now. The rolls we ordered were were fresh and flavourful and I love that so many of them include mango. The price is also very good. So happy to have found this place

JP Sushi, please PLEASE ADD UTENSILS with every Door Dash and Uber Eats order. And remove that invisible button asking whether or not to include utensils - just add them!

Ordered the salmon lover combo through DoorDash. Rice was too chewy, and I fell ill with upset stomach after eating. Would not recommend.

Interesting and creative variety of Japanese food. Small place, but the atmosphere is nice and the staff was very attentive. Add to that very democratic prices and we had a very positive experience.

1$ total for Miso soup! This is seriously a righteous act. Thank You for looking out for those whom are in need of a hot meal. They use DoorDash delivery as well ;)

This place is the typical kind of place you dont have much faith in based on how it looks, but the food is amazing! Plus, the service is very pleasant; the waiters remember you and are very friendly, and the price is even better. I completely recommend it.

Today my pickup order was bad; 1- I didnt get my correct order. Rather fish I didnt like 2- the tuna sashimi was old, it smelled spoiled and tasted off. I wonder if JP sushi has a new owner. Usually theyre quite good.

Delicious food every time!

Take out on ritual, contactless pickup. The quality of the sushi is great. The salmon sashimi was fresh and thick. The black and spicy Salmon dragon rolls were great portions. The two rolls came with miso soup and a small salad. This was enough for the two of us.

Rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned, portions are great and everything was delicious. The fish is always very fresh.

Worst food ever. I ordered the abhor sushi, dragon roll, karaage chicken, miso and edamame. The chicken tasted like it was sitting out all day. Worst karaage I ve ever had. Rolls had a fishy taste so we decided not to eat it. Feels like a waste of $40 :( Ordered from Uber eats but Uber dosnt do anything if your food is bad.

I enjoyed the sushi here. We ordered the small sushi and Maki platter and two handrolls. This was shared between two people which was a good portion. My friend ordered the lion king roll and rainbow roll, which looked like was a much bigger portion. Its a small restaurant and when we dined here, there were only two tables, which one is reserved for staff. Most orders were delivery or takeout.

Excellent customer service and really cozy ambiance. Don t let the small shop fool you, the folks here know their sushi/sashimi/maki-in and out.

JP Sushi is amazing! Loved their Bulgogi Teriyaki Dinner, sushi was great, fresh sashimi. Everything was delicious. 5 star all the way, we are now regulars!

Decided to give this spot a try on Uber Eats and I seriously regret it! After eating the sushi, not only did I find it to be extremely cold, but it was NOT fresh. I ALSO FOUND A WORM IN MY EDAMAME!!!! I would avoid this place entirely - absolutely revolting!

Great atmosphere, neighborhood sushi spot with 5 quality food. Fast, delicious, fresh ingredients with professional staff and clean space. Excellent for take out and delivery too.

We stopped in for a meal, as we live nearby, and were amazed at how delicious, affordable, and how friendly the staff all were. Now it s our go-to spot, and my favourite sushi joint in Toronto. Big bang for your buck, the food is fresh and always tasty (try their chicken karrage and the fried gyoza for an app ) and the incredibly friendly staff are top shelf. It s a tiny spot with only a few eat-in tables, but well worth it if you can get a table and explore the menu. 5 all around.

so basically, I got my order and the lady was demanding for me to leave because apparently I had ordered takeout but initially the lady did not ask me if I wanted to dine in or takeout so she was asking me to leave and she was like oh, is this your first time or some thing, and then proceeded to give me attitude. She was saying things about how like I m not going to be receiving dine in service, even though I was not asked if I wanted to dine in or take out. She just automatically give me a takeout bag and just demanded I leave. I was even sitting down too. Bad service never coming back here again. Too expensive as well. I swear to god it was a race thing because their white customers were treated so much more better.

Extremely terrible experience with the staff. I was there as a customer to pick up my food , i noticed the staff was very rude the food delivery pick up driver. Staff has no communication manners .

They are fast, reliable, consistent, tasty and reasonably priced. JP Sushi has been my familys go-to sushi place for years. Vegetarian options: They have plenty of veggie options.

I did not enjoy the food at all. The rice felt like the rice you find in sushi at grocery stores. There was slight aftertaste in the tuna.

Very thoughtful and accommodating. I called in an allergy with my order a bit late and they made us a new one. Then they called back to confirm any allergies for the rest of my order. Added bonus, the food was great! Will be ordering here again!

FRESH! Most important factor when it comes to sushi, has to be freshness of the fish - and they nailed it. Tuna and Salmon Maki were BOTH fantastic. Simple and delicious. Helps when the service was also a joy - friendly and attentive. Our new go-to sushi restaurant around The Junction!

Went in on November 8th, with a large group of students. The server was so friendly and accommodating. The sushi was amazing (the spicy tuna and salmon is next level). 10/10 recommend and good value for money!

Been here on multiple occasions! A small family owned and run sushi restaurant that serves some of the best sushi Ive eaten in Toronto! Definitely recommend this place that has a combination of good food and homely service! Just know though, that seating here is limited so in the event that restaurants open, Id reckon that you will definitely require a booking to eat here.

For the past 5 years we had great experience with JP sushi, but today I was in shock! For lunch we got two orders of sushi pizza and sashimi. Portions are much smaller than usual and for sashimi there was mostly salmon. Pizza sushi tasted a bit bitter, obviously the oil was not very fresh. We are disaponted, as it was one of our favourite place to go.

The food was so terrible I wonder if some of these other reviews are fake. The gyoza stuffing were bland and the meat texture tasted like it was J puréed. The karaage were made with thin chicken strips that were very dry, and the breading isn t at all like karaage, it tasted like it was frozen chicken strips. We ordered sushi and sashimi and the restaurant didn t even give us wasabi. Would not recommend.

Ordered take out and it was meh! Asked for spicy mayo on top she said they ll charge extra dollar for that! Won t go back

Great food and service

We were craving good sushi and karaage recently and based on a solid rating here we decided to give JP Sushi a try. Unfortunately we were not impressed with our experience. We ordered Agedashi Tofu, Chicken Karaage, two Maki handrolls (butterfish and salmon), and an Unagi Dynamite Roll. The Agedashi Tofu itself was pretty good, with a nice crisp coating and reasonably firm tofu. But the sauce was far too thick and tasted like it was poured straight out of an off-the-shelf bottle. The chicken karaage was, in a word, terrible. It evoked memories of thin, frozen chicken strips coated with a very mundane, very non-Japanese breading. This was especially disappointing given that the batter on the Agedashi Tofu proves that they know how to make a decent, Japanese-style batter. All was made even less palatable by being served with what can charitably be described as an off-the-shelf, dill flavoured mustard mayo/sauce. Maybe appropriate for chicken fingers; definitely not appropriate for karaage. The hand rolls were just OK, while the Unagi Dynamite Roll tasty only tangentially of unagi, wrapped in over-cooked rice and slathered in too much mediocre sauce. We cannot recommend that you eat there, and we won t be repeating.

We started ordering from JP sushi at the beginning of the pandemic and it quickly became our go to restaurant on Uber eats - seriously we order allll the time. The sushi is always fresh, fast and delicious!

Its OK sushi, but they overcharge a bit, and the quality is kind of bland and no flavor. There is another sushi spot 1km away. Im going to stick with them.

Spicy salmon roll is amazing!

This is now our go-to sushi place. We ve only done take out from them and it s been delicious each time. Highlights are the Aburi sushi and spicy butterfish rolls. The sashimi portions are huge too, not slivers of fish like at other restaurants.

Inside is small with only three tables but the sushi is really good!

They have packing issues. I ordered a mixed tempura and Hwedupbap. The tempura sauce and soy sauce leaked to ruined my dinner that I waited 2 hours through uber. Do not order delivery or take-out from here.

Put in an online order at 10 am for pickup on a Friday at 5:30 pm. Get a notification at 5:18 pm that restaurant cant accept my order. Went and its actually fully closed even though on googlemaps its open and my order went through in the morning.

I ve ordered delivery from here twice. The first time, I would have rated it 3/5. This time they got the sashimi wrong ordered maguro, got hamachi. The kimchi was on the funky side, really shouldn t have been sold. But what angered me the most is that I asked for extra ginger . Extra ginger for all of the items, specifically, as we all love it and eat it with each bite. I was so specific. Even happy to pay extra for it. And they gave us, literally, four extra pieces of ginger in a thimble sized container. This attempt to save themselves a dime s worth of ginger has resulted in my never ordering from here again. On principle. And we order takeout weekly.

Fresh ingredients and fast service!

I get sushi here about twice a month. The staff are always friendly. The portion size is always ample. The rolls are always tasty. Go. Try it. If you like sushi, you wont be disappointed, and neither will your wallet.

Enjoyed the variety of food and we were able to sit inside. Their takeout business was insane!!

The rolls were fine but the sashimi was terrible. The fish was cut in huge chunks, almost impossible to chew comfortably. A few of the fish pieces had a crunchy texture and the tuna had a grainy feel like it was recently defrosted.

Have to agree with Jenines review. The sushimi is cut really thick. The rolls are also cut really thick. I think a good piece of sushimi should be bite size. You shouldnt have to take a half a bite out of it. Strange choice to me, I guess its easier not to have to cut as many, but the experience suffers. I also noticed the grainy texture, and some parts were harder.

Freash and skillfully prepared!

Fish was good and customer service was good. One star subtracted because they did not pack our take out order correctly. Consequently we had to drive back and pick up what was owed to us.

I tried their Sashimi Combo, Chirashi Dinner, Hwe Dup Bap, Bulgogi Teriyaki Dinner and Beef Teriyaki Dinner. I wish the Hwe Dup Bap came with more Korean hot sauce for takeout. Other than that, these items were delicious! I will be coming back for more sashimi with the takeout discount.

This is probably my second favorite sushi place Ive ever been too. Its a tiny spot but I feel like thats what grabs people. It speaks to the customers to know that you really focus on the quality of the food rather than the production factor. Sushi is delicious with friendly staff and its just a nice quaint spot. I love this place! Very well priced and fresh and nice presentations. However there was one time it wasn t as fresh as I like it but been great every other time.

Good portion of food, nice servers and resonable price. They have a pretty nice event which is pay $5 in cash for any two of makies in their event manu until 4pm. Recommend you if you wanna grab a quick food.

We ordered chicken teriyaki for 20.00 with tax and it had less than a chicken breast, sushi roles small..dinner 35.00 and my young son and I were still hungry..and he was sick and not eating a lot. The food is good and the chefs are very friendly. Im disappointed because its so convenient but we cant afford to eat there. We went to sushi California on st. Clair west and they have big portions at half the price. Never go away hungry. I want support my local establishments so wish they would be more generous with portions.

Sushi looks good. But for some reason they didnt know the difference between items on their own menu. They didnt know the difference if a sashimi lunch and a chirashi lunch. They were confused on the order and didnt know what make. The chef was asking how to make a chirashi lunch and what a chirashi lunch was. Good fish and good cuts. Food is good. Just communication makes me uneasy

Best green salad in toronto, quick service, food is always amazing, my favourite restaurant! Small place but super clean and inviting environment with good amount of space between tables so meals are still private, store front opens in the summer so its almost like a patio!

I had the Sashimi dinner. The fish is SO fresh, and the pieces themselves are a good size. You can tell if a sushi restaurant is good by the temperature of the miso soup, and it was HOT. Definitely recommend.

Did a takeout here, ordered chicken teriyaki, gyoza and spicy sushi combo. Everything was terrible, couldn t finish our dinner and had to order food from somewhere else. This was my first time ordering here, thought we d give a try. The sushi wasn t fresh at all and the chicken teriyaki tasted strange not even close to what chicken teriyaki should taste like. Definitely will not be ordering from here again.

They offer a discount for takeout orders. Great value compared to other sushi restaurants in the area. They re are generous with the sizes of their maki (rolls). The restaurant is quite small for dining in.

As a former regular, the place hasn t been the same since new ownership. Inconsistent dishes.

Had the sashimi lunch. The salmon was great tasting and fresh. The other fish was good too. I thought the miso soup was too salty and the rice was cold and lacked the flavour. Overall, the main dishes are good, reasonable portions and good prices. Friendly and attentive staff. Will be back to try the other menu items.
