very well priced and of good quality. they are generous with the fish. best value for money, if you’re hosting a party, this is your place! we ordered 120 pieces, for $140 (tax and tip included) they have cash discount if you’re looking for savings, when i went it was 15% off.
We came in close to closing time and were not rushed out in any capacity they were very kind & the fish was very fresh and delicious! Amazing portion size and amazing service 10/10 recommend visiting here if you’re in the area.
This new sushi spot always hits the spot and was needed in the area (Cabbagetown). It's consistent and priced very fairly (especially their lunch deals). The service is always friendly and prompt. If you need a quick meal to go, definitely stop by and support this small business!
Our new favourite neighbourhood sushi place. Fresh and delicious, with lots of options. Plenty of cool house rolls that we'd never had before, so we're definitely going to be eating our way through the menu. And a cash discount for their grand opening!
I used to go to a sushi place on Jarvis but this place is totally my new best friend. The food is amazing, the staff are super friendly, it's honestly the best sushi place in or near cabbagetown. I have a hard time going here less than twice a week and I've been cooking for 20 years professionally. Not paid for this review.
I recently visited Kata Sushi and I must say, it left a great impression on me. Firstly, their service was great. The staff was friendly, and attentive. The quality of the food at this place was also great for a takeout. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The menu offered a variety of choices to cater to different tastes. Furthermore, the ambiance of this take out spot felt very comfortable. The decor was simple yet elegant, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Overall, I had a fantastic impression of Kata Sushi. Lovely wee spot and I wish it the ultimate success. I have gone several times since it opened for takeout. The fish is beautifully fresh, the prices are incredible reasonable, the staff are quite lovely. I highly recommend this place, if you are in the neighbourhood or live in the area
The new sushi place in town. Very much recommended! Very courteous customer service and fully supportive staff. The kitchen staff are very humble. Meat was very tender. Good portion of rice and the bowl of Customized order was very delicious. The staff also gave free salad container which was really delightful for me! My always go to place, at least once in two weeks :) hats off to the amazing taste. Keep it up

I ordered takeout from this place and agree with the many reviews that the food is really fresh! Better than most sushi places Ive been to. They also serve uni that is fresh (although often sold out) which is saying a lot too as many places that serve uni often serve ones that are basically melting. I will definitely be making this my regular sushi place and hope they stay in business for a long time! My only hope is that they open earlier for lunch too.

I recently dined at Kata Sushi, and I can t say enough good things about the experience! The service was exceptional the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Whether youre a sushi lover or just looking for a great meal, I highly recommend Kata Sushi. Its easily one of the best dining spots in town. Ill definitely be coming back!

Loved the girl working at the place, so polite and humble. Seems like they do a great job! Sushi was good as well for its price and the order was quick! Will be ordering again. Really nice that they keep the place safe, clean and it looks like a cute corner.
Best takeout sushi I ve had in a long time! It was such high quality with care in every roll. Will definitely be going back. Vegetarian options: Veg options were delicious. I got crispy avocado and avocado & yam. Both were great.

The friendliness of the staff are awesome, the service is fast and professional, the food is very good. Im so happy having this restaurant in the hood , I just walk a few blocks and its right there. I have tried the Volcano, Hawaii, Rainbow roll and the party platter ( assorted sashimi and sushi roll)

Cute new family restaurant. Its new so they take a little longer but the quality is excellent. The rice and fish are as fresh as you can get. They gave us free miso soup for waiting. Will return!
Support local! They are new and they are really good value for what you are paying. I always get the 15.99 Poké bowl and they give you a lot in the Poké bowl plus if you pay with cash you get 15% off so it s like removing the tax. There are other places, not too far from here where the Poké bowl will be an additional five dollars for no good reason. The food taste really fresh and they are open pretty late. I will take a picture of my pokey ball, but my camera isn t working

I ordered takeout yesterday and the sashimi was very big and thick. Ive only had this size in Japan and it was so delicious! The roll was also big. I think I will order it often from now on.

This is my second time getting a poke bowl from this place. And for just under 20$ I m getting a yummy loaded giant bowl that is enough for me to have for lunch and dinner. I haven t tried their sushi yet, but will come back for that for sure! Thank you!

This is hands down one of the best, if not the best sushi in the area. They re kind, service is awesome, and they re very generous with their portions. admittedly, I ve ordered from there at least 3 times a week since they ve opened. I m a huge fan!

Everything we got was so good!! We purchased the Philadelphia roll, Yo!Roll, Spicy Crab roll and takoyaki. The fish was very good and the price point for quality of food was astronomically good. It makes it even better that its a small business, go support them! Definitely recommend!! :)
Tried the 40 piece assorted roll. Its very tasty and large pieces. Im glad to have a quality sushi place in the neighbourhood.
I ordered a tuna roll for lunch. It tasted well, but it was not a typical sushi. It was similar to sashimi, except on very big chunks of rice, there were thin slices of tuna. So, I had mostly rice for lunch.
Ordered the mixed Maki platter. Great value and portion size. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Service was very friendly when picking up. Great addition to the neighborhood, will be back for sure.
