I dont know what has happened here. I was once a regular and left a 5 star review. Last 3 orders, the quality was noticebaly lower, and now I receive orders with no soy suace, no chopsticks. Thats a basic fundamental. I hope I can return again and leave the 5 stars but after multiple issues, it will be some time, thats for sure.

We ordered delivery form Uber one time, and the food was terrible. The rice was hard, like it was from the fridge or something, and they used too much sugar so it tasted sweet. Some of the fish was okay but some of it was just barely fresh enough to be eatable. Also, the all the rolls were squished to one side of the container and like, deformed. That might have been the Uber drivers fault though.

We ordered late one night after just getting to the city after a long commute. They offer late hours which is wonderful. The sushi was great and everyone in our group enjoyed our late dinner. There was a minor issue with the order, but Ocean rectified the situation without hesitation.

Kawa is a staple to my Monday night dinner. I come here often and am always greeted with a smile and great service. A must try item is definitely the rainbow poke bowl or deluxe dragon roll! Kawas cute atmosphere is great for a date night and quickie next door at the eagle. The food is always great but the dessert is quick and close by

I love this place! They have great portions, the staff is so professional and I m always happy about their promotions.

was becoming a regular and ordered take out, asked for something to be switched out with a cheaper ingredient which my girlfriend has ordered for me before. when i got the order there was a note that said it couldnt be switched, they should have just cancelled or not accepted the order, instead we got no notice or anything. it tasted awful. my girlfriend and i agreed that we wont be ordering or going back.

Love this place! I ve been coming here for a few years now, my favourite item is the chicken teriyaki. They always make it fresh if it s a walk in, so I suggest doing that if possible. Their sushi portions are great too, and I love their miso soup. Overall, it s a pretty solid sushi place if you re craving some, and it s open pretty late as well. It s a staple for me.

Kawa is my go-to spot for sushi in the village. Very straight forward menu with lots of variety and everything you could want from a Japanese restaurant. The staff are friendly and kind providing efficient service.

Restaurant Review: Kawa on Church Street When in the village (or anywhere downtown), my go-to sushi spot is always Kawa on Church Street! The food is simply delicious, especially the incredible edamame that I get without a doubt every single time I visit the restaurant or order take out. The staff here are amazing always on the ball & even remembering my order before I do! So friendly & definately adds to the experience 10/10 recommend trying this restaurant out! You wont be disappointed! Dietary restrictions: Great options for gluten free & vegetarians!

Worst place

Visiting country and city, ordered to hotel via Uber Eats Didn t provide chopsticks. Nowhere on the ordering process was there a question of do you need cutlery . So now stuck in a hotel with no way to eat this sushi properly. Called and asked them politely to deliver some and they were rude and unhelpful, stating it s a new policy to not include unless requested and they would not. So once and last time ordering from here. Simple enough to send with delivery courtiers and ask the customer do you need utensils as well? Edit - food is actually not that good. Rolls fall apart with the slightest touch, not well put together at all. And barely any ginger - I don t have much and it ran out 3/4 way through meal

Have been coming here or ordering from Kawa almost monthly for 7+ years now and the food and service has always been so special. Delicious and so comforting, the sushi is always fresh and the curry feels like a home cooked meal. Get the garlic broccoli.

Ordered online this evening and not impressed. It was a buy one get one free and I have never seen rolls this small before. It as if they packed the same amount of crab into 12 rolls that they d typically put into 6 so you think you re getting double but really you re not because the roles are half the size. They also did not include utensils, and the wasabi was extremely minimal. First and last time I will ever be ordering from this restaurant. You can get the better bang from your buck at monkey sushi or honestly any other place around Toronto.

My first time here with my husband and it was a sumptuous food and stellar service from Oshin. I love the ambience of the place. I would recommend the braised pork , mushroom , takoyaki and sushi combos. We would definitely bring our friends next time we visit. Shout out to the kitchen. The food was great!

What on earth. On their website it says brown rice is an additional $0.50. So tell me why they charged $2.50 for brown rice for ONE 6-piece roll? The price was so high we thought they had made a mistake with the order and given us brown rice on all of the sushi rolls. An additional $2.50 for brown rice is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!

If you want to have worst sushi on Church st go here. The staff does not know how to handle the complaint, the owner just walks away in the middle of the conversation, and food quality is terrible.

Today I had an amazing dinner at Kaw Sushi on church Street the food was hot and delicious with lots of flavour I had the salmon sushi pizza soo good fresh salmon amazing to eat ~ chicken teriyaki Dinner Box. 10/10 The food was hot hummy and delicious Lots of food on the dinner box ~ Chicken Karrage Its Omg meal on its own something fast and delicious try it .Next time I want to order a double batch of this amazing chicken and watch movies .

wanted to have something light. Ended up having their mango salad with addition of avocado. It was very fresh and flavourful. The service was very nice too. They gave me their chicken karage to taste on the house, that was very good too. Will definitely order it when I go next time.
