Mostly all condensed unflavored mushy rice that overpowers everything else. Fish is also not scaled properly and tastes like theyve been sitting out too long. Everything is super gross and disappointing. Had to spit out and throw away most of it. Seems like whoever prepared it has not actually had sushi before and just learned off of YouTube.

Fish in my Spicy Alaska roll had a huge bone that I almost choked on. Never had any issues with different locations, so decided to try this one today and wow - never again. The roll wasn t good overall, didn t have the best taste, very disappointing :(

My go to spot when I dont want anything fancy. Service is quick and tons of options. My favorite is the torched sushi.

the restaurant is completely unsanitary, I had to take the menu myself, the waiter does a bad job, you have to clean up after yourself, your slippers were stuck to the floor, no one cleans up there, to get to the toilet I had to take some kind of key myself, walk for a couple of minutes, through the kitchen, through all the garbage, and so on, the sushi is not tasty

I ordered poke through Uber eats. They prepare really quick. What I was surprised is portions!! Compare to other places, price is really cheap but quality is pretty good. They also do this eco friendly package option. -> if you choose this, you have to return the dishes in 2weeks. Overall really satisfying. Thank you. I will order again

Ordered delivery for 4 people from this location on Uber. When the restaurant handed the order to the delivery person, they told him to check the order because they knew it was incomplete (the delivery driver couldnt do that without ripping the bag open). They also told the driver to have me report the missing item(s) for a refund. Thats easy enough to do, but the item they forgot was the main dish for one of our party, who ended up not having enough to eat. The fact that the restaurant couldnt be bothered to complete the order makes me question the overall quality of the food. Also, the karaage was just tiny pieces of overcooked batter (dont offer subpar items as BOGO if you cant make a decent quality product). Would not recommend, at least for delivery.

I recently ordered two bowls from Monkey Poke, enticed by their seemingly generous 1+1 offer. However, my experience left much to be desired, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. Upon receiving my order, it became immediately apparent that the bowls were only filled halfway. ( I order frequently and I know how a portion looks like) It felt like a cheap trick, as if they were attempting to give the appearance of a full bowl while shortchanging customers. This deceptive practice not only goes against the principles of fair business but also reflects poorly on the integrity of Monkey Poke

The poke bowl I ordered was the saltiest and spiciest poke I have ever had. It was disappointing.

Got takeout from here when I had the stomach flu and it was reviving

Monkey Sushi runs Monkey Poke via Ubereats. Ordered Monkey Mega Poke ($22.95) to take advantage of Buy 1, Get 1 Free promo. Ubereats allows to choose either Salmon or Tuna( or both combination) along with 8 toppings. With seevice fee, delivery & tax, it worked out as $36 for 2 Mega Poke. When I received poke, then I realized that Mega means mega topping choices , not maga size poke bowl. Size of poke was just a regular size and just barely enough to be a meal size

Sushi and sushi roll were mediocre taste. Very little fish and a ton of rice. Hot miso soup was packed in the same bag in top of raw fish. Fish arrived warm. Not how you want your raw fish

Just ordered from this place for dinner and gave 2 simple instructions: 3 soya sauce containers and no mayo. What do they do? They give us ZERO soya sauce containers, slobbered the entire platter in MAYO, and the worst offender PROVIDED NO WASABI I have never ordered sushi in my entire life where they did not give any wasabi. I called after we received the order and the person I spoke to sounded like he just smoked a joint. I will never order from this restaurant again. They deliberately followed no instructions and it is the worst delivery experience of my life. Avoid.

I ordered with Uber Eats pick-up service. I picked up the food and opened it when I got home, most of the food was filled with different sushi. It was not what I ordered. Staffs attitude was not good as well. You need to check the sushi before pick it. Food

No service, feels like you owe them money when you walk in. Alright then, if you go for take-out, sorry food is not fresh, it s some overnight, cold sushi. So, the worst one in my experience.

They didn t clean fish skin!!! All Salman was with wish skin! I don t believe it. I don t recommend this store.

Their poke bowls are really really good. One of the best Ive tried, especially for the price. Definitely something Id recommend if youre looking for cheaper prices but still good quality.

I mean you get what you pay for. Salmon pieces were very chewy and tuna was not that fresh as well. But it can fill the belly quickly with very cheap price tho

I order out from here a lot because its probably the most economical sushi in the neighbourhood. Decent ratio of rice to fish and they run discounts on a regular basis on various apps. They are also really fast (I often order large platters).

Amazing prices. It feels like I m back in 2005 because of their prices. Fresh ingredients, large portions and quick service. Torched Volcano Roll is amazing!!!

Tuna was disappointing - not the deep red colour or buttery texture that I m used to - seemed like gassed tuna. However, the Torched Volcano Roll and Butterfish were very delicious. Overall, if your expectations are low then the sushi is decent for the price.

Its basically fast food sushi. You get what you pay for. Make sure to verify your sushi pieces. Was served what looked like white tuna instead of red snapper. (This was corrected immediately by the staff when pointed out). Sadly, the Wasabi is the low quality kind with Brilliant Blue FCF and Tartrazine, which is not allowed in some countries.

Terrible. Ordered on Uber eats and took over 2 hours to arrive. It was due to order not being ready. The poke I ordered was not fresh (fishy taste) and missing ingredients added to the bowl. They do order one get one free, but then make the main dish very expensive based on size you get. Finally, small thing. Requested utensils with the order and did not even get napkins. Will not order again. Plenty of sushi out there thats good PS this is my second time ordering from this place. First time everything was fine and tasted good. This time not comparable.

No soap in the washrooms. Doesn t seem clean at all. Definitely don t want to eat somewhere where the cooks aren t washing their hands properly.

Sushi tasted like good mall sushi, really not bad but not amazing. Good value for the price. I dined in but was served on takeaway plates which I found odd and wasteful but they looked mega busy.

Ordered from Uber eats as monkey poke, found a small sharp piece of plastic in my poke bowel, completely ruined the meal, will not be ordering from here again, Uber no longer allows for reviews either so I will now be checking google reviews before ordering from a place I haven t been before.

Very attentive and friendly lady on the phone took the order, my girlfriend called to do a pick-up for a late night dinner, they made it within 5 minutes, we got there before closing and was impressed with the food, nice portions and great quality! Truly worth all the money!! Will be coming back

The absolute worst sushi ever. You need to request chopstick or they won t give them. At first I thought it was great that they gave us 4 sauces but they were all sweet and the rice also very sweet. The sashimi is cut way to thick. There were hairs in our California rolls that looked as thou they were put it there black hair. So disgusting! No way would I re order or recommend! We got but one get one free rolls and and rolls via Uber $35 waste!! Gross!

A typical sushi joint but their selection is good and prices are decent. I like thier sashimi dishes and the beef short ribs. But you shouldnt expect really high quality food given the price.

Aweful. Tried once and immediately regretted it. The fish looks like it came from the eat tonight 50% off section of a grocery store. The presentation was sloppy and the rice was soggy. Don t buy into deals , spend a few more $ and eat something you d actually enjoy!

Worst customer service ever! Just called to order pick up and basically got yelled at from the person that was taking my order. Wasn t nice at all and pretty rude from the beginning.

Awful customer service. I tried to place an order and the guy shouted at me. They sold us bad quality salmons. We couldn t eat at all. I asked them to contact with me but it has been couple weeks and haven t heard back. Go find somewhere else or you will regret it.

What a bad experience, we ordered karaage chicken, sushi combo, sushi taste was okay but not delicious and the chicken was oily, looks old and it was chewy will never order there again.

Ive never in my life thrown out sushi. Even the worst mall sushi tastes better than their rolls. The unagi and salmon were not fresh, and the rice was birthed on its own planet. Never order from Monkey sushi, they are the Pizza Pizza of GTA sushi chains.

My girlfriend is allergic to shrimp and crab, so we told them if we can substitute it with anything for the platter. They said we can switch to anything and asked what we want, we said o if that case Salmon? Then when we got home and opened the takeout we got 1/2 vegan sushi and got left speechless. If they don t want to substitute it at least let us know and not make false promises. I do not dig the cucumber and avocado rice balls which made up 1/5 of the platter

I used to eat this sushi every week but you can get Fish Tapeforms & Parasites from eating their cheap salmon. No longer eating cheap raw fish

No chopsticks with order, ordered the 4 piece torch sushi (1salmon, 1 crab, 1 butterfish, 1 eel) only got salmon and butterfish

Nasty food, price is cheap but you get what you pay for. Super crumbly rolls, and not fresh ingredients. They dont cut the fish properly so there is bones / skin and other stuff inside the sushi.

There were bones in the sashimi and the eel. Edit: they take feedback very seriously and will take responsibility for it unlike other restaurants.

Torched fire dragon rolls are still my top pick for this restaurant.

The quality of the salmon in the makis was extremely low. They put the chewy garbage part of salmon in the makis. Worst sushi I ever had.

Monkey Sushi cant be beat when it comes to price and portions, but of course you get what you pay for. Consistency across locations varies quite a bit and I must say this location is on the lower end of quality and preparation. Cant be too mad at this price but Ill definitely stick to order from some of the other locations (the bloor location has been the most consistent from my experience)

I was elated to see Monkey Sushi come to my neighbourhood (I had been ordering from the Bloor St location) and am so impressed with this new location as well. You wont regret ordering!!

If you havent tried the corn soup stop reading and go now. I said stop reading and go, NOW!! Youll definitely add it to the list of best things youve put in your mouth. We make the trip from Yonge and Eglinton now and then for a cup of soup, Im not vegan and barely a vegetarian, more of a flex-etarian but Ive eat dinner from here and its DELICIOUS, I never would think that food my food eats could be so good.

Sushis are so fresh and yummy , the only point that I didnt like was about the note that I mentioned to put every portion separately, and we also were given one mayo and one sauce , I ordered two dishes and asked for seprate packs because my sister is vegetarian and she doesnt eat any food which is being put next to meat-based food . Otherwise the food was delicious

Beware ordering delivery. Ordered 2-for-1 deal on Golden Dragon Roll. Basically got the amount of salmon that should be on 1 roll spread between 2 rolls. Very disappointed with quality.

Tasty teriyaki, but I got the torched sushi and the salmon tataki and the sear was very weak. It was more like eating more salmon sashimi. Also the salmon avocado and cream cheese rolls used cooked salmon.

Usually I love Monkey Sushi but this location is cheap, I ordered a 58 piece and many of the sashimi pieces were very small. They did not give enough soy sauce and did not give any spicy mayo like we ordered.

Had a takeout, the amount of food is amazing, but its still the worse sushi I had. Fish is warm, I never had any sashimi that was warm. And from the food safety point of view, the fish would contain a lot of bacteria because of the warm temperature. I didnt end by eating much of the food.

Generous portions and timely delivery through third party app. My parents are usually indifferent towards sushi but they loved Monkey Sushi! Highlights include the spider roll, futomaki, and flying fish roe sushi

My favourite value sushi spot. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Taste is good. Nothing fancy, but great if you just want to crush a bunch of sushi but dont have access to all you can eat (damn you COVID!!)

VERY LONG WAIT: Order through fantuan app. I arrived on time for my order at 12:30, but the staff said they were still preparing it, so I waited outside the store. I got my order at 1:15. I WAITED OUTSIDE THE STORE FOR ALMOST AN HOUR! GOOD PRICE AND GENEROUS PORTION: the price is very reasonable. 50% off on fantuan app. Really large portion. The food was decent, the service was so so, but the wait was UNACCEPTABLE!

I d say sushi is good for how cheap it is buuuuut don t get the short ribs because they put all the fatty pieces on the bottom hidden under a few good pieces so really, of 6 pieces of short ribs you get, only 2 are edible

My favourite sushi place in Toronto. We have Monkey sushi nearby at Yonge and Eglinton, but I always order at Rosedale as the quality and quantity is much better here. Highly recommend trying their salmon lover party tray! The best! The food is always so fresh and tasty. Great value for money.

Very good sushi!

This place was great the first time we ordered, but the second time we ordered the portions were MUCH smaller, and they added lots of surcharges for substitutions (my husband is allergic to shrimp, so we sub to anything else) so the bill came up to double the previous, for much less food.

Love this Branch in Yonge, and Bathurst

Absolutely loved their sushi pizza. The pizza base was crunchy and delicious and the salmon was so fresh. I usually like only maki style rolls and dont like fish on its own but this salmon was to die for.

We got the party holiday special monkie tray which lets you choose 9 sushi and sashimi combos to make your own tray. We really like this because we can customize it to our liking. The party tray also comes with the option of getting add-ons for an additional $2 and we usually get the shrimp tempura, edamame and takoyaki. Monkie Sushi is our go-to sushi place and while weve ordered from other locations before, we find that this location is always the quickest to complete and deliver our order. Also, at other locations, the spider roll is an additional $2 to include in the party tray but at this location, it was not. Overall, great food, great experience.

Cheap sushi for cheap prices! We got a party platter and it was excellent value. You get what you pay for, so this wasnt the best quality but it is what we wanted. My only complaint is that all the shrimp tempura seemed to be a bit undercooked as they were still translucent.

You can find much better sushi in the city, but hard to complain about the value and quality was decent enough.

Half of our order was missing, had raw shrimp instead of cooked, and found plastic in my California rolls. A good deal of the food was thrown out because it tasted bad as well.

This place doesn t miss - so reliable and fast. Fresh relatively large rolls. Unbeatable price - I m obsessed, I come probably every other week! And packaging for takeout is fantastic. AND they gave me free spring rolls

This sushi place is not bad! Sushi taste fresh and they have a variety of options. The prices are reasonable and customer service is ok. I had to wait for 10 minutes to get 16 pieces of sushi. The store is not that clean and packed with boxes. They offer different online delivery options so I recommend ordering online instead of going in person and waiting outside.

Good food. Great price and lunch specials. Quick service. Giving 4 star as was told with my bento box since I ordered no sushi - they would put wxtra gyoza and they didnt so I ended up paying full price for less food. Was quite dissapointed.

Stopped by to grab a quick lunch. Got the Signature Lunch Combo: $12.95. The large portion with generous cuts of fresh fish was ready within minutes! Accompanied by miso soup and salad. Great prices, too. Will definitely go back. Thanks!

I think this restaurant need to change the recipe for Japanese curry. It only tastes like sugar. I want to bring curry to the chef. but Blood store tastes really good.

By far the best value sushi restaurant in the area. A lot of restaurants in the Rosedale / Yorkville area tend to be overpriced but this Monkey Sushi location is very reasonably priced. Portions are generous and food is fresh. Highly recommend!

Very impressive restaurant, fresh fish/seafood, and this is rare for most sushi places. Large portions and great quality. The staff is an added bonus, I called in regarding their availability for uber eats, they personally called me when as soon as they were ready.
