Quantity is bad compare to the price.$17 for a box of rolls. Won t come again. Bad faces from the service too.

Never order a soup. The Taste is horrible.

Portion is a little small...but with that price i guess that is what you get.

I visited this restaurant on March 23rd, 2023, with a few of my colleagues. In the display fridge, there were roughly 10 already prepared sushi takeout trays. I took an interest in two of these takeout trays and picked them up to compare them better. At that moment, the cashier snatched both trays out of my hands, returned them to the display fridge, and began to reassemble the trays in the display fridge. I was in complete shock by her behaviour--not only was she completely out of line in the way she interacted with me, but also, I wondered why she had chosen to engage with me in this way when my other colleague was examining the options just the same. This colleague proceeded to pay for her order, and I continued for awhile to look at the takeout trays while standing over the display fridge before picking up the same trays. While I looked at the trays, the cashier continued to play around with the display even though she had made adjustments (though none were needed) just a short while before. I later made my purchase and left the restaurant with a vow to never return. One might wonder what was the reason/s that I still chose to purchase from this restaurant even though the cashier demonstrated such animalistic behaviour. Well,...I did so because I did not want to inconvenience my two other colleagues who did not pick up on the cashiers behavior since they were a distance away. The colleague who was beside me, however, did not say anything in the moment but asked me to step outside after I made my purchase to express her outrage over the cashiers behaviour and to offer a deep apology for not acting as an ally in the moment. When I reflect on my visit, I think that it took me a bit longer to decide on a takeout tray because none of the trays appeared all that fresh, so I was trying really hard to find the best of the available options. But, if it were not for the lunch time constraints and our plan to have sushi for lunch, I would not have ordered from this restaurant and will not again. Response to Owners response: While it may be true that some customers drop the sushi trays into the display fridge after viewing the product, if you truly remember who the writer was, you would not have attributed this behaviour to me. I was very careful when I picked up the TWO sushi trays and then you snatched them from my hands and returned them to the display fridge. If it were truly the case that I made a mess or that my actions in some way impacted the freshness of the trays, you would not have simply returned the trays to the display fridge after snatching them from my hands. As you are the owner of this establishment, I especially doubt that you would intentionally sell messy/tainted products to your customers, right? If you observed a messy or tainted sushi tray, you or your staff would then need to remake/reorganize the tray contents. But this did not happen and no where in your response do you state that it did. Please view in need of improvement customer reviews as an opportunity for you and your staff to reflect and improve--responding with false and/or exaggerated claims does not help your business or anyone else. An acknowledgement of your wrongdoing and a sincere apology would suffice.

I hadnt been to this restaurant in a couple of years. Staff are as pleasant as I recall. Food is great for the price. Nothing too fancy just simple takeout. Much better than a convenience store or Loblaws.

Delectable eats & good vibes

Unfriendly. Also I think because I arrived close to closing - the chicken teriyaki I ordered wasn t fresh. It appeared reheated and thrown into a container from what I could see. A few bites in - my tongue was burning. Hopefully not an allergic reaction or a sign of food poisoning. I ve been eating teriyaki since I was a child - so the flavour and freshness with this order was not what I was expecting, unfortunately.

Cozy place with friendly staff, will definitely come back

I really like this place. I went in last week and despite the fact that they werent open yet for the day, I was welcomed in and they made a special order for me. Sushi is always nice and fresh and very tasty. Superior customer service!

I got a take out sushi from their display and it wasn t fresh. I was disappointed and even thought that sushi in Metro is better than this

Food is always amazing here

This is my favourite lunch spot during the week. For over a year I have been going here at least once a week. I always order on ritual and have never been disappointed. They are also very friendly and I always have a great time picking up my order.

Aesthetic japanese atmosphere, always fresh and delicious food for a reasonable price. This is a gem of a place, quickly becoming my favourite japanese spot in the area

Theres not much space to sit, but the little $5 lunch sushi packs cant be beat. Two of those and youre golden. Service is also very friendly and.....lively!

This is our go-to local sushi spot. Authentic, delicious. Highly recommend. Only downside is it isn t open on the weekend - wish it was!

The food tasted meh, and it wasn t fresh. Charged me ~$15 for like 12 super small pieces. The old lady at the front was glaring at my friend cuz she didn t buy anything. (We only stopped by real quick to get something quick before classes) And the guy there kept looking at me like I was about to ruin the display case. Mind you I didn t even touch anything of the trays yet. I picked up one to see what was in the rolls, and he came right over mumbling something in Korean. Then placed the tray back in the display case. Definitely NEVER coming back. Edit: There were no other customers, and if another customer did come you could ve asked us to go. (Would ve been the exact same as saying you can t have other foods in the restaurant) You also have more than just the table, you have side tables as well. And you were glaring, you just might not have noticed. As well as WHISPERING something. Which is why we didn t even stay, we only sat there for like 10 mins before we went back to classes. Anyways the other reviews about them being rude are pretty accurate.

The sushi taste nothing

The sushi is good, I like the convenience of the ready-made format. Someone commented that it is similar to store-bought. I would say its a slightly elevated version of store-bought. Owners are nice, overall cant complain.

Not worth the money

Hidden Gem in Toronto. Lunch special is really well priced for the quality of sushi that you get. Highly recommended if youre in the area and looking for sushi

Lovely sushi, friendly people, reasonable price! My fish was fresh and the rolls and veggies were very good. Could have used a bit more wasabi with the takeaway meal but it was very serviceable! Great little variety of rolls and sashimi all in one to go box

Today while waiting for bus, I decided to stop by to support local business. The chef is nice and friendly. I think the price is decent with good quality. Will come back

The owners are soooo nice. This place is small but so cute and the sushi is amazing! Their miso soup is always warm and steamy and they can always make something that s not already in the takeout boxes! It s also so close to school which is great because there is no other sushi place as good!

Pretty good sushi for a quick pick up. I d like to see some more variety and avocado is often browned in most sushi in the fridge but overall not a bad place

The food cost $12.95 plus tax (their menu chart says $12.95) but they charged me 15.76. It was my fault without checking the payment screen while chatting with friends. Anyway, just be cautious buying from them. Seems like dishonest people.

Nice little hole in the wall. Their unagi sushi is very soft and flavouful. Their Makis are good proportion (not over whelming, yet flavouful)

Really fresh ingredients, delicious sushi. The fish to rice ratio on nigiri could be improved a bit though. Overall, well worth the money and the owners are very sweet.

This place is such a great find! I ve lived in the neighbourhood for years but had never been. In an effort to support mom and pop shops in the community, especially this one as it was broken into during the covid lockdown, I recently ordered and was so pleasantly surprised. They make great sushi with fresh ingredients. I ve been back there many times since and will make it my neighbourhood go to for sushi!

Just came across this place and I was happily surprised ! Went in a few minutes before they closed and the sushi was still super fresh!

It s been a while since I was last here, as my first experience wasn t the greatest. This place is run by an older couple, and their prices used to be steeper. I was craving sushi today, so I decided to give it another go. The prices are definitely more worth it; it s a good value! They were so kind, and I m glad I gave it another chance. This will definitely become one of my go-to s while I m in the area ^_^

It s good when you get them to make the food fresh but my rolls almost completely fell apart the second I went to eat them

My first time getting food from here. I purchased the Salmon & Avocado Roll, and some Salmon Sashimi. While there was some extra rice on the rolls, and the rolls werent all tightly rolled, the quality of the ingredients was really good and they do not skimp on the fish either. And it tasted very good. The prices were decent too. Both items with tax cost me $14.36.. not bad at all considering some other places charge more for lesser quality ingredients. Since its raw fish Im eating, Id much rather pay the price here and know Im getting good quality. While the rolls could have been better rolled, its really not a huge deal. They really werent that bad, just a bit heavy on the rice. Ive had rolls fall apart worse than the ones I had today from Nari. I would totally go back for my lunch again!

The rolls are a disaster, poorly formed and misshapen blobs of rice that fall apart as soon as you try to separate them. The quality of ingredients is fine, but the craftsmanship leaves much to be desired. I have them three out of five because I hate cucumber, and weirdly (for a sushi place) they dont seem to have a single cucumber in their store. None of their rolls contain cucumber which is a huge plus for me.

Sushi was awful. Sloppy rolls, some of it had a foul taste. The employee behind the counter was on the phone the entire time she served us. Over all, not a good experience.

Quick service and quality was good. The downside is WAY too much rice on the rolls. If they took about 3/4 of the rice off the rolls it would be a 5 star for sure. The quality of what was inside the rolls was really good.

Dont let the bad reviews turn you off. This place is actually legit.
