Sushi, Izakaya, Sashimi, Roll, Teriyaki, Tempura, Japanese Faves,
Seasonal outdoor patio as well as a med size dining room. A favorite neighborhood Japanese restaurant with great service, reasonable prices (lunch special meals Mon-Sat). Excellent sushi, sashimi and tempura dishes.
I had a great time with my friends. We had okonomiyaki and the sashimi platter which were very fresh and delicious The staff were very welcoming and kind. I had a mini birthday celebration as well prepared by the restaurant, how kind of you!
Highly recommended! Reasonable price with big portions. Very impressive and authentic Japanese restaurant! Shrimp Tempura was very delicious and veggie tempura was fresh. The staff was very nice and provided good service. Best Japanese restaurant in mid town!
VERY fresh fish. Excellent taste and presentation. Friendly service. We had the lunchtime special menu. Will visit again.
Sushi here is always fresh and delicious. They have a lot of options on the menu for all tastes. Great selection of Sake! Service is fast and friendly!
Amazing amazing. Amazing!!!! My gf took me here for my birthday and this was the best sushi I’ve eaten outside of Japan and I’ve eaten at many sushi places in Toronto over the years. For the price and quality you can’t beat this - the servers are even Japanese. Amazing premium nigiri we ordered was definitely worth paying more for premium. Service amazing and just wanted to say thanks as it was my birthday and they served me ice cream and cheesecake. Can’t wait to come back!!! Thanks Shibui!!!
Very friendly service so I hate not giving a 5 star as I love supporting small places like this. But the rice was so wet and overcooked and any true sushi lover will tell you, the texture of rice is extremely important. You can tell the rice on the outside was not of same at inside the rolls which was odd. I might give them another try next time I'm in area to see if it was just a one-off. Not sure yet as there are so many different sushi places I still neeed to try. Very nice people
Quaint and cozy restaurant with great quality sushi at decent prices during lunch. Their regular menu is more pricy, but worth it, as we’ve been back multiple times. We appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quality of the fish. Definitely recommend their chirashi bowl. Service was also amazing.
This was our second visit here. We picked up Chirashi to have at home. It was wonderful! Seafood was fresh, and even the rice was so good. Last time we had picked-up Nigiri, which was also great. Im not Japanese, but Id say this place has authentic vibes. My favorite sushi place so far!
Always bring my Japanese guests here and they are impressed with the excellent quality. This is a true test of a Sushi house. The kindest staff in a simple and a most simple setting. Truly second to none. Tried and tested by the best from Japan.
This is a really good, no-fuss, sushi restaurant. I will be back.
Sushi wasn t very fresh and the gyoza pastry was hard and thick with a freezer burn taste. Service was inattentive but were super nice. Kid-friendliness: Nice
Vegetarian options: Very good vegetarian options Food
This is a hidden gem. Great food. Wonderful staff.
Super friendly staff, and great food.
Always amazing service and delicious food! We go there every week now, it s such high quality and great people working there.
Really nice people and welcoming vibe. Food was delicious
Amazing
Loved it
Last night I had a gathering of 25 people. I ordered 2 platters of Maki and Nigiri and the food was sensational. Rave reviews from all who attended. Great, friendly service and lovely presentation. I highly recommend Food : 5/5
Best sushi and sashimi in Toronto, hands down. The fish is super fresh, every appetizer is delicious, and the ambiance is cozy and comforting. The way the dishes are plated with such care shows how much passion the staff have for food. Service is always top notch as well. Very lucky to have this gem in Midtown.
Best sushi in the midtown area with excellent prices!
Delicious and fresh sushi and the portions were generous. Will definitely be back.
Like the small restaurant and they served fresh shishu. Tempura was great too. Reasonable price as well.
Terrible service, the worst waiter, terrible everything. Never go there totally unacceptable waiting for 20mins, people come behind got soup& sala foods. the worst worst worst worst service and restaurant never go to. Never recommend anything. Don t go don t got humiliated The most terrible restaurant in Toronto
Worst service I have ever seen in Toronto!! The server was extremely raciest!! We were the first ones sat at the table during lunch time (except theres another person was waiting for her friend), and ordered one lunch combo and one maki rool. We waited for 20mins, then watch the waitress delivered the soup and salad to the last group of customers (2 white men, and not to blame the customer), who also ordered lunch combo and received their soup and salad less than 2 minutes after they ordered! Our soup and salad never came! Wow! Cant believe this kind of service is existed in Toronto!
Honestly the most average sushi, didnt even provide enough ginger for take out
Best Sushi place
From the moment I entered Shibui Sushi Japanese Eatery, the welcome was so very genuinely warm. Its a small restaurant with a homely feel. The restaurant is clean, and decorated with Japanese artwork on the walls, plants and even a cool black chalkboard showcasing their daily specials, beer and sake options. They played a variety of different music that was all very enjoyable for the atmosphere and it catered nicely to the crowd. The food was good quality and presented in a tidy and artistic way, even the water they served was filtered. Now the service is also something to make mention of; like I mentioned before, upon entry not only the servers, but the staff preparing the food behind the counter, looked up to say hello and offer the warm welcome Im referring to. Everyone is genuinely friendly, and so respectful, and they are always paying attention to their guests to see if they are in need of anything at anytime. Your glass of water will never go empty. Like I said, the staff work together and help each other keep an eye out for the needs and wants of their guests. I would like to give a special show out and recognition to both Kaho and Shuma; thank you for your memorable hospitality. All restaurants would be so lucky to have staff like yourselves. I give their food, atmosphere and customer service a 10 out of 10. I will definitely dine at Shibui Sushi Japanese Eatery again. I love when I can leave reviews Iike this. More restaurants should follow suit.
Wow. Super clean and open ambiance, the nicest service, and extremely fresh! Amazing lunch specials. I will be back for sure.
Better than J-town
Delicious plum sake. Great food.
Found this place accidentally during one of my evening walks. They have small indoor dining space and larger patio seating outside. The staff is kind and proactive. As a vegan, options are limited. Veg gyoza is tasty and tried the Avocado/asparagus/mushroom maki which was filling for one person. Vegetarian options: Menu has few veg options. Enough to explore this place one time as a vegetarian.
Kind employees, and great sushi! Thanks so much :)
Amazing experience. Everything is super fresh. Friendly and welcoming environment. I would definitely come back. I like how they are explaining different types of sashimi.
Definitely higher tier of sushi in Toronto. The sushi here have less rice than other places, which I love. Maki and sashimi is fresh. Takoyaki has less flour than other places, which help me taste the octopus. Their miso soup is one of the best I ve ever had
Best Sushi I had in Canada
The staff are friendly and kind. The owner has changed recently, however. With this change, the quality has shifted significantly. Instant miso soup for $4, tempura undercooked, rice is dry. The focus and intent seems to be more on making money and reducing costs, rather than honoring the spirit of Japanese culture.
Exceptional quality fish, fantastic service. Highly recommend premium sashimi
Best Japanese place in the city. Really. With Japanese chefs (that s important, if you know what I mean) Huge pieces of fish, always fresh, good miso Must try: bluefin tuna. Just try the back, medium and belly
The service and atmosphere are great, and the taste is excellent. However, I have noticed a lack of consistency in the preparation of the rolls. During my most recent visit, the rolls contained an excessive amount of cucumber, which was somewhat disappointing. I cannot taste other flavours except cucumber. I genuinely enjoy the rolls from this place, and I hope this issue can be addressed to maintain the quality I have come to appreciate.
Fantastic sushi and great service. Love that the space is unassuming and quaint as well!
Very delicious and lots of vegetarian options.
Everything was delicious. 10/10!!
I overall had a good experience. Service was great, and the atmosphere was also pretty good. Maybe we didnt order the right thing, but I didnt end up enjoying what we got as much as I thought I would. With my Maki role it was a texture issue. It just felt a bit too chewy.
intimate but somehow silent no music. kitchen area integrated into the dining area. clean WC. sushi-heavy menu. kind service. patio in summer. fair Q/P
Amazing chirashi bowl, at an amazing price for the quality! Top tier food
This sushi restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with attentive service. The food is excellent, and the Nigiri assorted was particularly enjoyable
I never post reviews but I am so consistently impressed that I felt I had to! This is my go-to sushi place - delicious, fresh, prompt, and outstanding quality, really an upper tier sushi spot! Not only is it amazingly well seasoned and balanced, but they have creative little touches (e.g., small garnishes of yuzu, pickled wasabi, or a light glaze) that make even a nigiri & sashimi combo feel like an omakase platter! They also thoughtfully and generously adjust to requests (e.g., I prefer firmer fish) which is just delightful. I have never dined in but they have been unfailingly delightful, smiling, and kind in my takeout and delivery orders. They really stand apart and I will continue to order repeatedly - thank you!
Finally got to try this restaurant for lunch after meaning to for a while. I ordered the nigiri and maki platter, which included miso soup and a salad. Everything was really delicious. This was actually a slightly elevated sushi, where all rolls and nigiri included an added garnish to add an extra flavour to your bite. (E.g. A sprig of dill on the salmon.) Can t wait to come back to try other items from the menu.
Just trust the reviews and the server, rest will fall in its place automatically. Its been a couple of days but still reminiscing over this Genuinely good stuff and as most people say really good sushi in the neighbourhood
Shibui Sushi Japanese Eatery has become a staple for getting sushi, not only on Mt Pleasant but in the whole of the City of Toronto. The staff at Shibui are unmatched. They are welcoming when you walk in and are extremely efficient. The contrast between their building and their food is unlike anything I have ever experienced, the dining, atmosphere, and food is all 5/5. Shibui pulled me from a dark place when i was at my lowest, thank you Shibui for all you have done for me.
Authentic! Delicious food, and friendly service! I do recommend it.
SO GOOD! Reasonably priced for the great quality of food. Great menu with many options
It was very fresh and amazing service
I give them 5 stars just because of the food. The service isn t that good and it takes them unusually long to bring the food. We ordered Fire-mountain Maki, Golden Bell Maki, Sake Nigiri, Aburi Sake Nigiri, and salmon tartare. The rolls and the nigiris were AMAZING. Some of my favourites in the city. The salmon tartare wasn t impressive and it was quite a small portion. I 100% recommend you go for sushi and expect a long wait-time for your food. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options available.
Amazing sushi in the midtown area. The staff and owner are so kind. The sushi is delicious.
I went there for lunch with my friend today. Everything is great! I loved the food and would definitely go back in near future. Highly recommend them and trust their recommendations. The salad was great on top of all things! Sushi, awesome! Vegetarian options: There are a lot of options for that choice Dietary restrictions: Gluten free is also available Wheelchair accessibility: It is on the street level so wheelchair can easily get in
Very good food, generous portions, very fast service Fair Prices
The first time we went to this restaurant the food was incredible and the servers were attentive and kind. The second time we went, they only brought out one of our meals and ignored us the rest of the time until it was time to bring us our bill. However, the meal they did bring out was incredible, but the one individual that received their meal felt sick in the hours afterwards. We decided to give the restaurant another shot, hoping we were just sick from something else that day, but the third time we went to Shibui, we were sat and waited forever to be served. Two couples came in after us (about 10 minutes later) and we had still not been served. The couples both ended up being served and received their food and we still had not been served. We politely kept trying to get the wait staffs attention but they continually ignored us. We unfortunately ended up leaving because we had sat there for about 30minutes not being served while everyone around us was served. Overall, the food is amazing, but the service is not good.
Thank you jun for welcoming us in a very lovely manner. You re the best!!!
A wonderful experience. Ate food Japanese food after a long time. We enjoyed every item that was ordered and the service was fast and friendly. We will definitely visit again.
Great Local Style Japanese Sushi spot. Will definitely be returning. Everything was fantastic. What REALLY sets them apart is the service. They set the bar high, by yesterdays standards. Refreshing to see that some people still practice it. Thank you so much, Shibui!
Happy to have stumbled into here! It had good reviews and for good reason. The quality of the food is excellent - fish is fresh and portions are great with not too much rice on the rolls. This is going to be the go to spot for sushi for sure.
Cute small sushi place. I loved everything. Ordered Lunch A and was really good, comes with soup and salad! Tomoki was serving the food today and he was so friendly and professional! Food
Best service in town Thanks for good behaving with everyone Food
Japanese food here was amazing, just like eating sushi in Japan. They offer a great lunch deal, with very reasonable prices. The recommended menu written on the old-fashioned blackboard looked so appetizing that I definitely want to come back for dinner sometime soon! It was delicious, just like the sushi you eat in Japan. Im especially happy with the lunch menu, which is reasonably priced and has a variety to choose from. The recommended menu written on the old-fashioned blackboard looked very delicious, so I would definitely like to go there at night next time.
Lovely dining experience! Loved the staff being Japanese pur server Shiota was from Kumamoto and i had lived in Nagasaki...we had a lovely chat in my terrible Japanese....been 26yrs since u left there..... Tastes fresh and delicious We had the guy-don, Yaki udon starter sashimi (but requested just salmon and tuna) which they obliged with a torched maguro (delish should have asked for all torched!!!) And the red dragon roll lovely! Will come again!!!
Very friendly and cozy atmosphere. Great food.
An amazing dinner here! The staff are so kind, the food is fresh and tasty with great portions. Seems like a small detail but we especially loved that they serve filtered water. Extra steps to make customers feel prioritized goes a long way :) Food : 5/5
Great little sushi place - always have fast friendly service, food is excellent, and when people stand up to leave all the staff say goodbye, thank you for coming. It feels like when you leave a family members house and everyone says goodbye at the front door :)
Cozy small Japanese restaurant. Tempura Benton box and Chirashi - Good quality of tempura, sashimi are fresh. Soup and salad also good. Happy to having lunch here. Food : 5/5 |
Amazing - we did a big take away they were excellent
Best value sushi for above average sushi places. Love this place. I had both premium and regular nigiri and both outstanding.
Excellent sushi, good price
Excellent food!
Absolutely the best sushi place in the area hands down! I have tried many sushi restaurants around the city and in the area and have not found one with sushi as fresh as here. My sushi is never soggy and there s more fish to rice ratio on the sushi. It s always presented beautifully and the staff are always friendly. I d give 10 stars if I could.
Very fresh sushi and beautiful presentation. The unagi don was one of the best Ive had, fresh off the grill with a smoky flavour.
A small, cute little Japanese eatery with a first come, first serve policy. The sashimi is great but the sushi with rice is disappointing- the rice was over cooked and very mushy. Lots of other goodies on the menu though which we didn t try. Super saki selection.
I went in and picked up a takeout order for my wife and myself. The staff was very friendly, and my order was ready ahead of time, and they called to let us know. Extremely polite. We ordered six items, some apps and sushi rolls, and everything we ordered was amazing, except for the shrimp shumai which was just okay. The size of the sushi rolls was massive and they were excellent. The tempura was some of the best I ve had in a while and it was super light and crunchy. The sushi pizza was my favourite and it was a new twist on an old classic. I would definitely come back, and I would definitely order takeout from this place again. They even threw in a whole bunch of green tea in the bag so we could make some when we got home. Great experience!!!
Best fish in Midtown!
They are the best!! Try it.
Very nice sushi, friendly waiter. Loved the small place.
I ate at this restaurant for the first time during a cold and snowy evening. We were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who got us a table. The restaurant is small and intimate with only a dozen or so tables which is pleasant. The walls are decorated with Japanese art and calligraphy pieces. I asked the waitress for a recommendation on tea and she suggested the honey tea with yuzu. It was AMAZING! We had a few appetizers including some delicious shrimp dumplings and their seaweed salad. The person I was eating with also ordered some calamari which came with a lovely sweet and slightly spicy sauce. After the appetizers were done, we ordered our main course foods. These included various sashimi and three special sushi rolls. I asked the waitress for her recommendations on the sashimi and am very glad I did. She steered us to some great selections. I loved our evening here. We never felt rushed and the waitstaff were all personable and kind. We will definitely be returning here in the future!
I have eaten here many times. It is a favourite of mine, especially for lunch where I get a sushi roll, soup, and the wakame seaweed salad. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Everything that comes out of the kitchen looks delicious and is made fresh.
Great food but menu is very big! Excellent service!
The party tray is so delicious
Great service and amazing food!
Great sushi, do try the sparkling Lachamte Sake. One of the best I ve had. Excellent service too, very nice wait staff.
Such good sushi and service!!
Outdoor seating during rush hour (due to Covid restrictions and through no fault of the restaurant) didnt let us enjoy the experience in full, but the food is tasty and very fresh. The area has a lot of competition for sushi but this place is one of the very best. 2023 Edit: the food continues to be excellent, and the indoor seating and service is equally impressive.
I ve been meaning to try this place and finally I did! Absolutely love it! The food is great and the staff is so lovely! The lunch specials are really reasonable in pricing. I really enjoyed my chicken teriyaki and sushi
Best sushi spot in the area. Staff are lovely and they alone make it worth trying this place. Not going to lie, it is a bit pricy, but definitely worth it if youre looking for quality. Will definitely be returning
All the food was fresh, especially the fish. Fire mountain maki was amazing and rich, like a harmonious balance of spicy salmon, avocado, shrimp tempura, cucumber, tobiko, crab meat. The chicken was tasty and crispy but the rice portion was too small. O-toro was not fatty enough. The sauce of the sashimi salad was Korean spicy flavor. Overall everything was ok but a little over priced and the service needs to be improved.
Such fresh ingredients, tasted phenomenal. Lovely staff and decor is cool. Vegetarian options: the veg platter was delish and beautifully presented
The food and service here are fantastic. The setting is unassuming and straightforward, which lets the food really stand out. Delicious maki rolls and fantastic sashimi as well! I recommend it
Best sushi!!!
Really great place for sushi and other food. Always love it
Nothing was fresh at all
Beautiful presentation of every dish. Ambiance is cute but could be cozier. Service is always excellent. Very fine sashimi and sushi. They will give you fish that you dont see everywhere. We tried the gyozas and they were a bit disappointing and overpriced. We will stick with the fish next time!
Superb! Every food was so fresh and tasty. Definitely the best sushi place in the area! Gonna come back again!
My favourite place for sushi in the Yonge Eglinton area. Food is always tasty, service is fantastic.
Nice cosy place tucked into Mt. Pleasant, very close to Piano Piano, with fantastic service. We had the Nigiri selection (very good), mountain fire selection (excellent), chicken karaage (excellent) and the coated tofu. Enjoyed my experience!
Best sushi place in midtown. Food is always delicious and the service is fantastic. Love the decoration too!
Very good! Will return.
Great service, delicious food and pleasant people. Thank you for your service, see you many many times more :)
One of the best sushi spots in the Mt Pleasant/Yonge and Eg area. The quality of fish is excellent, and they often have fun roll specials. Interior is a little small so expect to wait for a table (if there s three of you, the bar is seldom occupied). Prices are on the high side, but it s well worth it.
Underrated little spot with quality fish and impressive rolls. The price is a bit higher than other spots but worth every penny. Ultimately a good value in my opinion.
I have always walked by this place and today I decided to try it for lunch. What a delightful surprise! I ordered the Chirashi and absolutely everything was perfect. The presentation was gorgeous, the egg was delicate and sweet and each piece of fish was fresh and with little treats like lemon zest and herbs that complimented each bite. I am not a fan of octopus, and even that was perfect. I really loved the sesame seeds on the rice as well. The whole experience was like a grandmas kiss on the cheek in the middle of my day. Will definitely come back!
Food Good service Bad. Improve to earn points
Awesome place! Its been a while since Ive had fresh Sushi like this. Were from a smaller town so not used to this quality of Sushi. We came near closing time but the hosts were still super friendly and the food was excellent! Highly recommended
I ve been addicted to their food since the first time I ordered sushi from them .
Such a cute space on Bayview, the servers where sweet and understanding with a sense of humour. 5 star for everything else except the sushi it was ok , but it lacked texture and fell apart when I picked it up. Ordered the spicy salmon maki .. I do believe they might have had an off Day, but it was my first visit, and maybe next time in town, I will give them a second chance. Cheers to customer service with a smile .. that !they definitely had
Fresh ingredients and reasonably priced. Excellent service and ambiance. Our go-to-place for dinner. High recommended any of the items on the blackboard. The grilled eggplant is a must.
Exceptional delicious food, excellent product quality! Best sushi in midtown!!!
Nice server and atmosphere.
The little mini sushi pizzas appetizer is so good!
As a sushi lover who has been to tons of sushi places including fancy omakase places, I would say this is the best sushi place with decent affordable price. I think there are two factors that makes good quality of sushis which are the flavors of rice, and freshness of fishes. To me both criteria met and I really enjoyed my dinner with affordable price. Love it- this became my new go to place near my neighborhood
Its always been a treat to takeout from Shibui. Unfortunately yesterday, in our platter, the spicy Salmon roll had a foul taste, definitely something wrong with the freshness yesterday. The karage portion for $15 is also really quite sad...not sure what happened yesterday, hopefully it was just a one-off situation, but Ill have to reconsider to order again...
The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The sizes are also very good. Service was amazing and warm. I ll absolutely be back. This is my new favorite sushi restaurant in the Yonge and Eglinton/midtown area.
Absolutely loved the food and service here. Id really want to visit again. Tried the new cherry blossom drink which was delicious. The torched dynamite roll was amazing. Also, not to forget the daily specials, they are indeed worth mentioning. Kudos!
So far, the best sushi I ate it Toronto. Dont miss out on the miso, Wakame salad and Agadashi Tofu.
This place could not be any better. Service is great and the fish quality is sooo good. Sake flight is
Great sushi joint. Not the cheapest in the area but you definitely get your moneys worth in quality! Its a very cozy place with just a handful of tables but the food is great and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.
Its a nice and cozy restaurant I ordered assorted chefs sushi I was expecting more about this plate but it was just ok . In general good places for your sushi craving moment if you are around
The food was GREAT The eel was nicely cooked, the rice wasnt dry or too wet, and the Beef Short Ribs incredible flavour of the meat. Food
This is the best sushi restaurant Ive been to in Toronto. Excellent service, quality of food and atmosphere. You get what you pay for. 10/10.
Really good quality of sushi. If you enjoy sushi this is your spot. Friendly staff.
My go to sushi spot in the neighbourhood. Great quality sushi and friendly staff and service.
The sushi recommendations were on point and the food was mind blowing. There are so many subtle and delightful flavours and textures that were served up to us. The staff are extremely friendly at what seems to be a family run establishment. Or go-to place for Sushi now at Eglinton. Thank you so much for such a wonderful meal and service!
They were v accommodating and the sushi boat was delicious
The food here is exceptionally tasty, and the service provided by the staff is friendly. I highly recommend it.
good sushi, good service, i like the boat
Great quality sushi for the price, I believe even the Wasabi is real ground Wasabi rather than the cheap horseradish. Chalk drawings really add to the atmosphere as well.
Great cozy spot with good service and really lovely sushi options! I got the chirashi (sashimi bowl) with agedashi tofu -- the sushi/sashimi are high quality. Im back every week and have no complaints. Highly recommended!
Very good sushi. Miso soup. Nice staff.
The best sushi in the Yonge and Eglington area. Their pizza sushi is amazing, very crunchy and juicy.
Best restaurant ever!
Best sushi in the area and Ive tried it all. This is QUALITY sushi. Ive been ordering consistently for delivery and theyre always quick, fresh and so, so good.
Great spot in the area for delicious and authentic sushi. Fantastic selection. Love the spicy scallop Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options available throughout the menu
Bit pricy but high quality as always
one of the best sushi places in town. Great quality, great staff and overall amazing experience.
Friendly staff,great service,excellent food.
Soooooo good!
Friends and I decided to walk around Mt Pleasant as it was a nice day and we found this sushi place. Apparently, Shibuie just opened less than a month. This is not a place for you to stuff your tummy with food but its a place for you to enjoy the food, your company and the conversation. Great place to hang out! One unique thing about Shibuie is their soysauce is homemade so the taste is lighter, more flavour when you compare with other regular places. I definitely will come back to try other items on their menu. Updated: Shibui has a Sake flight and its amazing. You have 3 different type of Sake that cant find from LCBO or other restaurants. Spend time here for V-day and their set is pretty awesome. Come with an empty tummy because the portion is huge.
Extremely fresh and a great variety. Cosy place where you feel welcome everytime. This place is a keeper.
Our hidden gem, we love this place. The sushi and service is top notch.
Both food and drinks are top notch. The kitchen is right there with the bar (can see the action and you know that means the kitchen is clean!) The servers were excellent and kind, and the kitchen staff/chef were professional. The manager was also there working and I was able to learn more about the food. I highly recommend this fine establishment to anyone visiting the area!
Autentique Japanese food. Awesome
Top notch. Very consistent
Food is fantastic and service is always amazing.
Got takeout today, showed up way to early and they rushed to finish my order. The staff were very very nice. Food was amazing too, bit pricey but definitely worth it. Edamame was super yummy and spicy salmon is superb
The tastiest food with great and kind staff. A very nice place to grab lunch at! (and probably dinner, haven t tried) So far I ve tried their sushi, their chicken teriyaki and their seafood ramen all easily deserve 5 stars
Fast service and decent quality sushi. Very good value for the money.
Phenomenal food and great service! its definitely not inexpensive but you really get what you pay for here, it was easily among the best sushi Ive had anywhere including in Tokyo.
Absolutely delicious sushi and such excellent service! We ordered the sashimi and nigiri platter and were genuinely blown away by how incredible each piece was. Our server was also an absolute gem, incredibly quick with great service and fun conversation.
I order from here almost every week. Everything is fresh and tastes great! The Torched Dynamite Maki is one of my favourites
Wonderful quality, great prices, and very nice owners.
Great food and impeccable service
Fresh sushis with good selection of sakes. Small and friendly environment.
Best sushi place in the midtown area!!! Staff is super friendly, food is always fresh, and they always have authentic Japanese craft beers. What always keeps me going back is the amazing service by Rosie. She always remembers my regular order with a warm welcome, and she s super funny. Her top quality customer service that s authentic it s hard find. That s the main reason why my husband and I always return. Thank you Rosie
Very nice staff, accomodating chefs. That being said they either dont care about the fish they bring in, or its a sign of the quickly tumbling quality of available fish on the market. Each piece was exceptionally bland. I would suggest buying a goldfish at the local pet store, put it in a bowl, neglect it for a week, take out the departed fish and drink the remaining water. The above provides a faithfull imitation of the flavor, along with saving you 70$. Wistfully, I shall not be returning.
My family and I truly enjoyed our meal. It was fabulous and the service was fantastic!
I really want to like the place. I had the sushi of the day and a modern maki. The maki was okay. But the sushi (at least the recommended one on blackboard) was AYCE quality at a la carte pricing. Not impressed. I won t be repeating.
Excellent quality sushi
Above average Japanese food with higher than average prices though. It is quite expensive for what it serves. The menu is huge but mostly focuses on makis. They could do with more cooked food in my opinion.
The food here is excellent and service excellent and friendly. I will definitely return to Shibui Eatery
Blew my mind, it was definitely everything we expected and more :D
Delicious sushi! Friendly service and good prices.
Excellent dine in experience. The nasu dengaku and Kuro gyozas (vegetarian) are excellent. I really recommend the Chirashi bowl. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive - very good with the children.
Girl what? These prices. $21 for 8 small Maki pieces in their Shibui roll. $11 for 6 pieces of a vegetarian roll. $7 for 4 small pieces of tofu. Please. Pictured is $32 of sushi apparently. They mustve thought they got a Michelin star or something.
Great Japanese food. This became my to go place when craving for sushi or a bento. Very tasty and well made food, great service and good prices.
Fresh and awesome food.( even my kids who are usually not fond, had more than 10 pieces of sushi and Nigri) Great and kind service. Cute and cozy place.
Shibui Sushi is a restaurant that uses Japanese traditional vinegar and high quality ingredients. All menu are delicious and awesome. And staffs are all kind. :)
Loved the food here, very fresh and they had good selection! Service was awesome :) Definitely recommended
Overall great quality of the fish and Nigiri Sushi and Sashimi are well done. The Maki need improvement, some are way too big to eat with one bite, which takes a bit away from the otherwise great food.
Cute little spot with friendly service and delicious lunch options. We enjoyed our bento box and udon noodles dishes immensely. The service was friendly and attentive and everything we ordered tasted great. Glad we stumbled on this place!
Our new fave sushi spot. The restaurant is super clean. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere is lively. Most importantly, food is amazing!
This is my favorite neighborhood Sushil place. Great service, lots of variety and quality food. Cute and quaint little spot. Its clean and the staff are lovely. Take out of done in, this is a great place.
