My go to for sushi in the the Roncy area. Great friendly service and always willing to modify orders. Lots on the menu for none sushi eaters also. Great Beer sand Saki selection.

This is my go-to sushi place on Roncy. In the summer they have an open patio in the back and they also have a cute sit down restaurant inside. The sushi is delicious and they provide a lot of variety. #ContestEntry

When Im next in Toronto, I want to go back to Sushi on Roncy. The menu was a little detail lacking and slightly different online/dine-in. Vegetarian options: Plenty of options

A place that you must visit once you are at Roncy

This place has some of the niceist staff . But on two occasions that iv been there. I have to admit. The food left alot to be desired. Portions are small and my checken bento box was cold .

The food is excellent, the back patio is super cozy and has tons of seating and the staff are LOVELY. Fave sushi spot on Roncy!

Went here for dinner a few nights ago and was incredibly disappointed. I have celiac and I called ahead to see if the restaurant could accommodate me by providing gluten-free options and they said they could. The waitress seemed very knowledgeable about the different menu options I could have however, I was still contaminated. Not sure if it was a result of the kitchen not taking enough precautions or if something else went wrong but if you have celiac or another serious allergy I would not recommend eating here.

Super FRESH, super FAST, friendly and delicious! Also, generous portions including ginger and wasabe (again, nice and fresh not a dried lil pea of mustard like many places). Great place Vegetarian options: Lots of delicious veggie options!

Im Japanese, and while the food quality here is ok, its more on par with what you could make at home if you enjoy cooking. The customer service is nice though. I wonder how much Korean restaurant owners and staff interpret Japanese culture and are able to project its food quality and its hospitality, while I appreciate people from other countries like ours enough to open Japanese restaurants.

Been there in person, ordered through delivery app quite few times. They consistently miss an item or a component of the order; of the roughly 5 times I ordered, they missed twice. That is a 40% failure rate. This restaurant is UNRELIABLE and they will mess up your order. If you dont have 5 hours to waste waiting for the missing component they may or may not give you after the fact, go ahead and order. For me Im never going back to this place.

I have been going to Sushy on Roncy for years and two things that really stick out is the WONDERFUL service by such a friendly, welcoming, and kind staff. Also, the indoor atmosphere is very inviting and warm, while the backyard patio is a gem during the warmer months. The dishes are all fresh and delicious. I am never disappointed with my orders.

Terrible delivery, the rolls were badly ripped, and each one was destroyed - I do not recommend this place. It s not worth the money.

Sushi is OK. I ordered take out recently and was charged higher prices for each role compared to what was on their website. When I mentioned it to them they didn t seem to care. If you are ordering take out you might be surprised with your bill. Otherwise friendly.

The worst sushi Ive had in all of Toronto. Dont know why you would waste your time here. I have had better Sushi from the following: 1. Sake Sushi (also on Roncesvelles) 2. Kibo Sushi ( bloor/symington location) 3. JP Sushi (annette and runneymede) 4. Momotaro Sushi (dundas street) 5. 7-11 gas station, orlando florida. Seriously, dont waste your money. Overpriced bottom feeder fish.

Sushi here is good, and they had lots of options for my partner who is gluten free and vegan, as well as for me who loves fish! The Bento boxes are a very generous portion, at least if you go for dinner.

Best sushi in Toronto! The owners are the sweetest people and I will be back over and over again because of how fresh the mango is and how kind the staff are!!! Dietary restrictions: Ask for the VEGAN options, you WONT be disappointed!!! Kid-friendliness: They love our kids and have a place mat coloring page too where they hang it on the wall.

Ive always loved this place. Staff is so friendly and attentive. Food is always great. Glass noodle salad is delicious and I love their bibimbap. Very fresh!

The food itself was really delicious, I just found the portions to be small. I got spicy tuna for $10.50 and it was only two pieces with a couple small taro chips. The yellow fish was better with 4 large pieces. Just wish that the portions were bigger for the price

Great indoor decor and atmosphere. Has a nice outdoor patio as well.. Maki rolls have are good portions with a small amount of rice which I value. The chefs special was awesome. I ordered through DoorDash. The california rolls and Spicy Salmon. It was made incorrectly I received California and Tuna. Also could tell the freshness was not there. I have tried many sushi places around and this one has let me down. Hope others experience is better, but i wont be eating here again. If your looking for fresh sushi, this is not the place

Only ever ordered through UberEats and it never fails.. Top take out sushi, by far!

Tried the Veg options, and it was good. The sweet potato was roasted, the avocado was smoot, and the cucumber was fresh. Would order again for sure!

Too expensive for value for money. $39 for 22 piece shashmi dinner. They forgot the rice. DS11 We asked what fish and were told 5 fish but only 4 came..we didnt want more than 4 salmon pieces but 8 came out...fish and pieces should be listed on menu. We were told only 4 pieces of salmon. We asked questions but server couldnt explain anything we could understand. Disappointed. Handroll is like $9...small and over priced..not worth the money. Really disappointed in this place...japhae picture shows beef in menu but japjae that came was vegetarian. Really annoyed for a good Sunday afternoon lunch that wasnt great. There are so many better Sushi restaurants with quality, value, and good customer service...in accommodating any substitutions and clearly written menu so you know what we are getting. We are told we whatever we got was good for us. The picture of the Japchae is from menu which has beef. Korean japchae has beef usually. Especially in Korea.

Super dispointed today with my SR2 order, enough to write about it. I love this place, I go there a lot and never had a bad meal, everything is always fresh and the service is excellent. Today I decided to order in. My meal was delivered and was completely destroyed (I should have taken a picture). Everything in the container was disconnected and broken. It was a big mess. I thought, okay, this is the delivery persons fault, not the restaurant. So I sucked it up and thought, all the stuff is there, it will still be good. For $38, the raw fish was stale-like tasting, not fresh, very thin and not well contained with the rice. Super disapointed with this today. The rolls were all broken but tasted ok. I will go back to the restaurant but I will not order in again. Thank goodness it wasnt my first experience with this restaurant, otherwise I would write it off. The quality of the food is always amazing, but not today...and yes, I get that everyone has an off day...

The attempt at sweet potato roll tasted terrible like it was deep fried and fried fries mushed up and stuck into little rice. The presentation was utterly appalling and looked like poutine dumped in the box as all the rolls where stuck together in a tiny box and when you tried to lift it it fell apart.

Still the same friendly staff and great food!

Very nice quite place with a patio in back. The sashimi was very succulent and tender, the salmon, red and white tuna is what I tried. Lunch specials come with salad soup and a bowl of rice for around 25 bucks with your choice of sashimi comob or maki amongust other options. One of the best sushi restaurants Ive been to in a long time, and thats not just the warm sake talking

Amazing Sushi place! The sushi is so fresh and well portioned. Customer service is wonderful and efficient. Options to dine in with a well sized patio. Restaurant is clean and followed COVID protocols. Location is prime. Prices not bad at all.

Good food, chill vibe and wonderful service. I love the back patio. It feels like a little escape from the city. The decor inside is also lovely. A great spot in the neighborhood. Vegetarian options: Theres a decent selection of delicious vegetarian rolls, like cucumber, avocado, and yam. The miso soup and edamame also make good veggie options.

Sushi on Roncy stands out among the sushi restaurants in Toronto. The rolls have very generous portions of fish and avocado in them and have used fresh ingredients each of the five times Ive ordered and two times Ive dined in. Their sushi is better in size and quality than any other comparably priced sushi restaurant Ive been to in Ontario. They also have a quaint, hidden patio behind the restaurant that has great ambiance around sunset. I wish I could provide more than five stars considering the value you get at the price they charge. I look forward to supporting this restaurant because it is hard to find restaurants that offer this much avocado and fish in each roll.

Noisy inside as it got pretty busy by 7pm. Good spider roll, but not the best i have had. Tasted more pollock crab than soft shell. Shrimp tempura was excellent.

Went and had a quick dinner with an old friend tonight and the food was fantastic, nice and fresh and full of flavor! The staff was very friendly and the service was terrific! Would definitely recommend eating here and would come back again if in the area! Well done!

Had a great late night dinner with my wife. Had a Crunch Dynamite which was delicious topped with some spicy mayo & sriracha sauce. If you re looking for some great sushi accompanied with great customer service please make your own way down here!

Great take out spot! We order here from time to time and its always good. Their avocado is always perfectly ripe. The salmon sashimi always tastes fresh and decent portions. Their vegetarian bento box is better than other spots weve tried. And their staff are friendly when ordering and picking up.

I went to Sushi On Roncy today and it was my first time there- the sushi did not disappoint! I m a vegetarian and ordered the yam yam sushi (extra yam and tempura on top) & avocado and yam rolls - so good! Excellent customer service and reasonable prices! I will definitely be back

Decided to try this place out for lunch. The staff were very welcoming and kind. The back patio is spacious and shady to protect you from the blazing heat wave. The menu has many options especially if you are vegetarian or vegan. Amazing sushi and service. I will come back again.

Finally visited the back patio for lunch and it was great! Food was delicious & great quality, and the service exceeded expectations. Our waitress always made sure our water jug was full, and brought us all of our food in a timely manner. Will definitely go back!

Just ordered sushi from here off Skip the Dishes and was pleasantly surprised! I chose this place blindly (Ive never been there before) and WOW. Its my new fave! Finding fulfilling vegetarian sushi options is tough, but this place delivered. Great presentation, excellent quality and freshness of ingredients, and very flavourful. Will order again!

This might be one of the best sushi restaurants in the neighbourhood. Like other reviewers say, they are not stingy on portion sizes, and put a good amount of fish in with the sushi. Ingredients are always fresh and taste great.

Price does not equal value at sushi on Roncy. Poor quality care put into preparing their food leaving the majority of our order inedible... California rolls falling apart at the seams with very little rice covering the nori. Chicken teriyaki was hard and dry, accompanied by grainy unwashed mushrooms, and limp shrimp. Definitely not worth a try! Yuck!!

I am not sure why everyone is hyping this place up ,but my experience with the food was unpleasant.

If I could give this place a zero I would. Tempura was 80% batter - gross and thick. The rolls were mushy and the fish smelled and tasted old. Had one bite of each and threw them away. Don t waste you time there are way better places for less than this.

Best sushi in town!

Just ordered Sushi On Roncy on Doordash and it was delicious. The tempura was still crispy and all the sushi was great. Usually sushi doesnt travel that great, but this was still perfect. Miss going here and eating in person but happy we can still get it delivered.

One of my favourite sushi restaurants on the west side. The back patio is open during COVID. They will walk you through the restaurant to the patio, just wear your mask. You can see the menu on your phone with the QR code link, (it takes you to their website) or just ask for a hard copy menu. The patio is well spaced and open, beautiful plants, and they have umbrellas too. I like that the sashimi cuts are generous and my fried dumplings were crispy and perfect. Korean-owned and super friendly service.

Maybe it was bad luck, but it was the worst sushi I had in a while =( Rolls were hard to chew and definitely not fresh. I had to throw away half of it.

Nice and cozy place, good standard sushi sizes , prices are competitive, place was clean. Noise level was non existence. Waiters were polite. Tampura was great. I think there is room to offer better sushi combos, dinner bento dishes are a bit pricey. I may come back here again. It was not my wife favorite place but she liked the coziness of the store. Over all we left this sushi place with ok experience.
