My sister and I were walking from the hospital from visiting our dad and we were starving. Saw this place and gave it a try. We were blown away! The best sushi we had,and the service was exceptional, even on a busy Friday night,so accommodating to us,let us eat in there,which it's more like take out,but even after a potted plant was knocked onto the floor,and a free dessert for the mishap ,we plan on going back tonight after we visit our dad again!!! Everything was fresh,tasty and delicious.
Second time ordering in a row! Saw the reviews on here and decided to give it a shot. A bit more on the pricey side, but WELL worth the cost. The sushi tastes so fresh and delicious, and I'm a salmon lover and haven't had anything better than this place yet! The chicken karaage is so crispy and juicy. Can't get enough of it! Love that with every order you get a tea bag (my mom loves it!).
I recently tried Sake Sushi and ordered the 5-piece sashimi along with a California roll, which I substituted for the Spicy Tuna roll for just $2 more. Although it wasn't a sit-in restaurant, the pick-up experience was smooth and convenient. The sashimi was fresh and flavorful, and the Spicy Tuna roll had just the right kick. It also came with a refreshing salad and warm miso soup, which complemented the meal. Overall, it was a great option for a quick sushi fix!

We thought we had tasted some of the best sushi places in Toronto, until coming across this place. Everything tasted great, fresh and each item had an extra kick making it different and better than pretty much every sushi we ever had. Let's not forget about the service, everyone was great, knowledgeable, great attention to details, ready to answer questions and asking us in order to be sure about our preferences. Impeccable packaging, beautiful to see and we had extra tea bags with it. Will definitely visit again!
Absolutely love this sushi place. It was a random find as it was one of very few places opened at midnight after discharging from the hospital. A huge plus for that, but that aside, the food and service were both incredible. High quality, delicious sushi rolls and warm, friendly staff. They gave us complimentary veggie gyoza and a slice of cheesecake and it was really one the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. I was so thankful to be able to have such wonderfully delicious meal after being sick and in the hospital for 8 hours. We won’t forget this experience and we will definitely go back for some good sushi. Thank you!
I recently ordered take-out from Sake Sushi, and I was absolutely impressed by the freshness of their food! The sashimi was incredibly fresh and tasted like it had just been caught that day. UPDATE x2: it's now been YEARS since my review. This place has not changed and if anything has become even BETTER. It's so good. And still so highly recommended! They deserve all their success. Heck, I'm going to order takeout from Sake tomorrow! Update: More than 1 year later and I still eat here very often and all of my friends love it too. Really consistent, fresh dishes and amazing service. - Absolutely amazing. I'm really picky when it comes to sushi in Toronto and have been meaning to give this place a try. I went in right when he opened at 3:30pm and the customer service was really kind and friendly. I ordered an assortment of rolls, sashimi, and nigiri, and everything seemed fresh, tasted right, and high quality. The plating is really nice and his attention to detail seems like it flows through the whole place. I will definitely eat here again, I live in the area and there is nothing else this good in queen west/parkdale/dundas aside from only one other place that also recently opened up. Got to support places like this and hope they stay busy and quality remains the same, I will be going back many times this spring!

Amazing sushi - everything is delicious. One advice, if you do order online, double the time it says on there. So if it s 20 mins come 40 later and so on. That s a consistent observation each time I have ordered. Well worth the wait.

Did a pick up order and the restaurant happen to miss an item, but they were exceptional once we realized it was missing. They went above and beyond and even gave us a little sweet treat for the mix up. Not only is the sushi always delicious, the service is exceptional!!!!

Excellent option! Efficient and attentive service. Varied menu with different options. The portion sizes are very good, as is the taste. I really think they offer a good product. The place does not offer space to eat there, only takeout. Parking is limited, but options should be found. Recommended
Im a very picky sushi eater as I only eat torched seaweedless sushi. That being said, Ive only ever liked 4 sushi spots out the 100 spots Ive ever tried. This is one of those 4. Absolutely great ebi oshi. They were so accommodating to my restrictions and went above and beyond. 100 percent recommend this establishment. I will be ubering this every weekly for sure!

Theyve earned their rating. Their sushi and poke bowls are *delicious*. They taste fresher than most places. Braised Tuna especially was amazing! Takeout only. Theyre fast considering how busy it gets. Dont let the line discourage you. Im always glad I waited. Vegetarian options: Salads available as well as tofu or all-veggie bowls. Dietary restrictions: Limited ingredients is easy for them. They were able to remove everything Im sensitive to. Parking: A few spots out front and on the street. Around the corner from transit station.

Five stars doesnt do this wonderful and delicious sushi spot justice. Roncesvalles is blessed with four wonderful sushi spots, but Sake takes the crown (Id put Sake up against any other sushi spot in Toronto). The staff is super friendly, service is quick, and the quality and taste of the various dishes is phenomenal. There are not enough words to describe the deliciousness of their food (the tuna is some of the very best I have ever had). The only drawback is that it is takeout only as there is no room for indoor dining. Thankfully, when the weather is nice you can go to a nearby park or Sunnyside Beach, both of which are very nearby, to enjoy your meal. Even if you dont live in the area, it is worth the travel, or order in, to try this delightful gem of place.

Found this place on a whim strolling around. Sake sushi offers a generous poke bowl portion, great service, loved the cash discount and free appetizer with order over $35! Waitress was so extremely friendly. Would return again. Thank you for the water

SO GOOD SO YUMMY Aside from the amazing service, the food itself was incredible!! The aburi sampler was excellent, the fried scallions on top was a nice touch. I don t even like sushi that much but I know I ll be craving THEIR sushi often from now on! Food
The quality here is so good! The portion sizes for the poke bowls are also very reasonable! It is a bit on the pricey end but still recommend for a late night meal!

I am not sure how this place is rated this high. Sashimi was clearly gone bad extreme fishy smell. And the edamame was raw didn t even take the time to boil it right. I would avoid it for safety ! And yes I got a refund for this poorly prepared sushi that s very expensive , shame on the resturant for not taking accountability for there poor safety risking customers and bullying them for calling them on it. If you guys were so confident then why didn t you run to reply so fast and repeat - it is safe It s definitely not and yes it seems the reviews are all biased like a reviewer mentioned ( which you attacked as well) Pleas dnt attack me with your expired fish and uncooked edamame

A diamond in the rough! A random find, on the way home, on a late evening, craving for some good sushi. OMG! This place has the best sushi that Ive had for ages! My family and I got the largest platter to go; we got it with okonomiyaki and gyoza. The whole meal was delicious! I loved the okonomiyaki (I havent had that in a while as not a lot of Japanese restaurants serve that). I was impressed with the unagi-maki and the kani-maki; very flavourful. But the maguro and the sake, as both zushi and sashimi, tops it for me; no other restaurants, that Ive been to thus far, have their fish taste so good like this. It was prepared so well! And I was so happy to learn to eat sushi with shiso, momiji and kiku-no-hana. My taste buds and I had a great experience! I cant wait to go back and try other dishes!

They have a high rating because they offer a free drink for a rating. The tempura in the spicy salmon roll was stale and chewy instead of crispy, not good.
We ordered the orange and green dragon roll. avocado and salmon refresh. However, the tempura shrimp was stale. Clearly it has been sitting around for many hours. Samewith the Sushi rice as it was a bit hard. The containers that the rules came in were too small. Squishing the roll and smeared the sauce everywhere. The ginger and wasabi came in the same small container. Likely to save prep time. However, it ruins the ginger because you always get a bite of wasabi. Overall, it is average. Unlike many of these reviews.

I know this has a 4.9, but I had to leave a review because I just ordered this from Uber Eats last night, paid over $100, and it was not good at all. I even had to spit out one of the roles, which cost $20 for the roll and I couldnt even swallow one of them it was that bad. I want every business to succeed, Im happy it has other good reviews, but my experience was terrible and I feel like I wasted $100 on very bad sushi

so far i d say this is the best sushi i ve had in toronto! very high quality ingredients, very reasonably priced for what you get. perfect portion sizes and they have lots of creative rolls! and the vegetarian options go way beyond the standard fare. the service is always incredibly friendly! extra points for the presentation always being beautiful and unique compared to other sushi places. i ll always go here to pick up sushi for special occasions!

I ordered their salmon katsu roll (8 pieces). Initially, I thought they would be small and not as freshly prepared, especially since I ordered it around midnight. Have ordered sushi from here a few times through Uber Eats. This is my favourite sushi place in Toronto - by far. I always recommend Sake sushi. Through the presentation, you can see it is made with genuine care. Sashimi is always fresh. Everything is always tasty. Creamy crab salad is my favourite.
