Gold Standard is hands down one of my favorite spots for breakfast. The vibe inside is bright and inviting with plenty of natural light and plants that make it feel super cozy. I ordered the Impossible Melt, and it was delicious. The staff here are always incredibly friendly, and this time the cashier even sang, which made the experience even better. Definitely a 10/10!
Everyone I know I take for a gold standard brekkie sandwich. A must. All their options are great - the alternative is so adored as well even for non vegetarians. Love their business values and connection to community.
This is the best on-the-go breakfast on the westside of Toronto! The Good Standard breakfast sandwich (with either bacon or kale - we had both and they were excellent) is made of scrambled eggs, melted cheddar, crispy-thick bacon, pickels, hit sauce on a toasted English muffin with nothing but tasty goodness!
Looking for a quick breakfast sandwich. Definitely suggest this spot. Their gold standard breakfast with bacon is definitely worth the try. Also enjoyed their other location along Roncesvalles.
Very fresh and tasty sandwiches! The Telway is a Detroit classic done right (although this one has a much higher price tag than the original), the 4 Guys burger is substantial and perfectly dressed ... and the Breakfast Sandwich is so delicious - perfectly cooked eggs, savoury, smoky bacon, sharp cheddar on a soft English muffin - the best part though: they use my favourite hot sauce of all time: Marie Sharp's!
Super delicious breakfast sandwich! Ordered mine with bacon. Can't really comment on atmosphere because there really isn't one. It's very small and dine in is about 3-4 stools along the wall. There is no problem with that, we ate there, and it was great. I think we got lucky to have the opportunity but most likely food will have to be taken to go.
One of the better breakfast sandwiches I've had. The Burger was juicy but not over the top sloppy. Both were the perfect bite to have for a regular meal. At $6 the value and quality can't really be beat.

Stopped in here unexpectedly to get coffee and the breakfast sandwich called my name. It was by far the best breakfast sandwich ever. Beautiful fluffy egg, tasty crisp bacon, noticeable but not overwhelming hot sauce and a glorious little pickle to bring the whole thing together. If Ronald McDonald and The Michelin Man woke up together and needed a cure for their hangover, this is probably what they d cook up. Service was also warm and friendly. I ll be back.

Was in the area and decide to go to Gold Standard to try one of Torontos best breakfast sandwiches. Honestly didnt live up to the hype. Almost 20 mins to get a couple sandwiches, sure they tasted ok but not worth the price paid. Was hoping for more....unfortunately didnt get that Top Toronto experience...
i LOVE the breakfast sandwich, the smash burgers are just ok. i d recommend getting the breakfast sandwich with kale for sure! service is friendly but not fake and they re usually very fast as well. i love to take people here or go alone for a quick well rounded breakfast!
The food is great and I have enjoyed it a few times. But every time I have visited the shop one of the people that works there has just stared at me awkwardly. It makes me uncomfortable and feel unwelcome in the restuarant. Unsure what the issue is, as it was just a ritual order. I like the food but I dont enjoy the uncomfortable interactions
I tried and I tried and I tried. I REALLY dont lik this place for a few reasons. If you are all about new, social media and hype in teh vein of downtwon Calgary or Vancouver--youll lik ethis place. If you like god food--skip it. First, ATTITUDE. Anyplace that says sorry no substitutions when you ask to leave off the pickle, is as arrogant as a Michelin star in Paris, NYC or Dubai. The difference, that food is worth the tude. Second, the sandwiches are small, soggy, over-salted and WAAAY over-rated.

Ordered the Telway Burger at staff recommendation, hands down the best breakfast sandwich I ve ever had!! This place is pretty far from where I live, but will definitely be making the trek down again just for another bite. Special shout-out to Hala for being so accommodating of my pickiness.

I always grab the breakfast sammie to go. Both locations of Gold Standard are very small and not great for working or hanging out. This place introduced me to the concept of pickles and scrambled eggs. Not something that I ever would have tried before. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches. I prefer bacon because *OBVIOUSLY* but the veggie/kale is also fantastic. Skip the burger. Its nothing to write home about.

Ordered Telway for pick up. Nothing special; nothing bad. Neither with the product nor the service staff who handed me my food. No words spoken. No courtesy or greetings extended. Ive had better stuff at Rudys & other places for same price (in fact better value cuz BOGO). Cant understand the hype creating the 4.9 rating on Uber Eats & 4.6 on Google.
The staff is just the nicest and every single one of their sandwiches HITS THE SPOT. From the beef Telway to the vegan Alternative, you cant go wrong. Their freshly squeezed tangerine juice is delicious as well. Always stop by if I need a breakfast sammie. Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian and vegan option
Breakfast sandwich is perfectly balanced. Love the kale option. Makes me nuts that I can t get this with my boyfriend bc they don t offer a gluten free bun. We d be happy to pay more. Dietary restrictions: It s time to get some GF buns!!
Gold Standard is always good, but compared to the original Roncy location this one can be a bit sloppy. Wish they took a tiny bit more care!

Nice place to grab a breakfast sandwich in the area. Person making the sandwiches was nice. I didnt think the ingredients would go well together for the gold standard sandwich but it was pretty good. The sandwich was a bit small but I would have this sandwich again or try the others.
Was pretty skeptical about kale being the veg substitute for bacon, but it was actually delicious, 10/10 breakfast sandwich.
Sometimes you need a breakfast sandwich to get through the day When that time comes the place to go is Gold Standard. Highly recommend the Kale+Bacon breakfast sandwich and the Telway burger is excellent (if you like mustard.)

Loved my breakfast sandwich from gold standard! For me it wasn t small at all, I felt they crammed as much scrambled eggy goodness on an English muffin as they could. Loved the combo of the aioli and hot sauces and the addition of the pickles. Super fresh and made to order, will be dreaming about this sandwich and wishing it were closer to home! Really reasonable price too for what you re getting.
The best, addictive, illegal burger in town! Sadly, they were out of bacon and still charging full price -- and the by-law officer was quibbling about the official name of the business (Federal versus Gold Standard).

Never ate at this place. Didnt need to from what I witnessed. Early morning the worker at the queen location was yelling and swearing at a delivery driver who was bringing something for that store. He had no idea what was going on he didnt respond or initiate the conversation. How can a person like that be working there. Disgusting attitude from that young lady.

Listen, Ive never heard of this place till I see this picture with gold wrapping and the name gold standard Im like with, hold up maybe this is something I should try. Honestly the place has a great vibe, the staff are gems but overall the sandy just didnt live up to the hype. The bread was a bit soggy, Id say its a bronze standard top to bottom. 4 stars for the vibes but two for the sandwich

Great little neighborhood place. I was in the area and got a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The coffee was really good. The sandwich was hearty - eggs, cheese, kale, etc. I was filled up for more than half of the rest of the day on it!
Breakfast sandwich was delicious, tasted a bit like a burger, had the right amount of spice with the hot sauce. Plus, it is super cheap for 7$ including bacon - will be back again!

Was in the area and had heard good things about gold standard! Already ate breakfast so didnt feel like a breakfast Sando so grabbed the telway burger. Really nice smash burger, good quality beef and really tasty.
This has been the best breakfast sandwich I ve tried so far! So flavourful, so fresh! I got the impossible patty with egg, cheese and kale. Plus it comes with mustard I believe and pickles, so good! Can t wait to try their burgers for lunch!

Incredibly amazing breakfast sandwich! The crunchiness of the pickles, the fluffiness of the egg and the nice kick from the hot sauce combined made it so delicious. I devoured the Telway Burger too quickly before I could take a picture of it. It was a good, juicy smash patty burger. Cant forget to mention how quick the service was and how friendly and polite the staff are! Especially Nyx! Will come back for more!

Great taste for breakfast sandwich, only minus is that it was a lot smaller than expected! The size is about the same as Mc Donald s cheeseburger. Would still order again for the taste, it was delicious.
Poor customer service drops this rating down to 3 stars despite 5 star food. The breakfast sandwiches are excellent, however, there is no way to get in touch with the store to place a take-out order ahead of time or to call if there is a problem. This morning my partner was charged the extra $2 to add kale to our two breakfast sandwiches and then got home and realized it was missing from the sandwiches. I have no way to get in touch with the store other than go back and tell them the mistake and then wait outside in sweltering heat for 10 mins while they remake my order correctly, which my partner already had to do to order them in the first place because I can t call in a take-out order! We live in the neighbourhood and have visited many times because the food is so good but the customer service is consistently awful, totally indifferent and lacking in attention.
I come here every single week!!!! The staff are always super nice and the food is always perfect. They also serve one of the best coffees in the area! You should totally check them out, if you haven t you are missing out! I don t know what I would do without my weekly Gold Standard sandwich:)

Went in and didn t have much high expectations for a breakfast sandwich, but this is the best breakfast I ve had in Toronto. Everything about the gold standard sandwich is excellent, get with a lemonade and you won t be disappointed. They now have a daily customer!

Fabulous breakfast sandwich, fresh and juicy, dripping with flavour. Small, hidden gem of a shop in Parkdale on Queen Street, very easy to miss. Limited seating inside the shop, maybe for 6 people. Small menu of basic burgers but they are delicious. No modifications on the weekends. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Will be back.
