I loved the atmosphere. Food was great too. Was there for a business meeting.
I can’t rave highly enough about what an excellent experience I had at this establishment. The food and atmosphere were incredible and the delicacies arriving in a makeup box were so innovative. However, what truly made this experience one of a kind (especially for my mom’s birthday) was George. He provided the most incredible service with kindness, attention, and overall welcoming us to the space. He truly made the experience so much more enhanced and is responsible for the good feeling my mom and I took way when leaving. I will definitely love to come again!
The most incredible and unique high tea experience ever! Attended with a small party of six for a low-key bachelorette tea and we were blown away by every facet of the service. From the beauty themed amuse-bouche, to the Moët vending machine, to the service, 10 out of 10 all the way! We were blessed to have Kim as our server and she went above and beyond to make our visit nothing less than spectacular. Thank you so much to Kim and everyone at Living Room. I've had high tea services all over Toronto and this was by far the cutest, chicest, and most thoughtful rendition of the tradition. Bravo!
Came for the high beau-tea with a friend and had a great experience! Service was very kind and they were very accommodating given the fact that we were quite late to our reservation 😅 Was surprised by the food being pretty good since most of the high tea offered in Toronto has tasted kind of mid and is very gimicky. I thought the display was cute for the high tea- some of the items I was kind of ehhh about but overall enjoyed it!
had a wonderful birthday, High Beau Tea, yesterday with my friends at the Living Room, W Toronto. Love the excellent service given to us by Gabriel. The choices of savory and sweets served inside a makeup box are very creative and delightful. My friends and I loved the edible lipstick and 'clotted night cream' and 'petite blush biscuits'. Everything was playful, fun, and imaginative! The space was elegant, with lots of beautiful lighting fixtures, and seating allows for a private feel. You don't have to brush elbows with your next table neighbors. It is also away from the main lobby and reception. Definitely, one of the best High Tea experiences we have had in Toronto
I absolutely adore the Living Room Restaurant! From the ambiance to the impeccable service and delicious food, it's always a delightful experience. The cocktails are a definite highlight, and I've never been disappointed with the food. It's become a regular haunt for me, and each visit exceeds my expectations. Highly recommended!
I visited on a Sunday at lunchtime with friends for the afternoon tea set. It was a bit on the pricey side, but seems pretty on par for most places now. Nothing was a major standout, but everything tasted good, and the makeup theme was cute. The space, located on the 6th floor of the hotel, is bright and airy, with comfortable but modern seating (I guess in line with its Living Room name?) It was fairly empty when we were there, which was surprising for such a nice space. It also made it even more surprising that the person who seated my friend (who was the first to arrive, on time, and had JUST sit down) that they absolutely needed our table back by 3pm. To be clear, I don't think the request was unreasonable because plenty of places have time limits for seatings, but the way it was handled could have been more tactful. You'd expect a high-end hotel to have those little (but impactful) service details covered. Our actual server was friendly and helpful, checking on us throughout our visit. Overall, we had a good time.
TLDR; afternoon tea is below average compared to other afternoon tea services. The decor is what you pay for. Its a place for people to take insta pics and thats all. When it comes to the savories, the overall was uninspiring. The garden pot was unnecessary. And the mushroom eclair wasn’t good. The cocktail tart and the chicken salad brioche were pretty good though. Scones were average nothing good or bad to say. The raspberry jam was good with it. Sweets you have the macaroon which wasn’t properly cooked. The cookie itself wasn’t crisp like it should be, as it was soft/mushy. The blueberry tart was strong in flavor and I liked that about it. The herbal blue tea was solid. Everything else, eh.
Went for the beau tea high tea, super fun , nice experience and good company. I liked the place and vibe. George our sever was soooo nice and sweet!!! 100% recommendations
Sat at the bar with a drink before an event. I was keeping to myself as on my right a group of guys were chatting among themselves and the seat on my left was empty. An Indian hotel staff dragged the empty chair away from my left side as soon as she noticed a lovely lady was approaching it. I ended up talking to the new guest and comforted her for having to stand by the bar being the only guest without a chair. I don t know what the staff was thinking, but she did us a disservice without having known/served us at the venue. It was an ugly moment to an almost perfect evening that I wanted to share here.
TLDR: amazing vibes and amazing service, would definitely come again Pros: our server, Kim, gave the best service possible with such friendly conversation and great wine suggestions with the Riesling and Minah always came around to make sure we were taken of in such comfortable manner, the chips were the best I ve had in any restaurant setting, open concept for the restaurant was a first for me but allowed me to choose such comfortable seats on the floor, the live music on Friday nights was such a vibe, amazing paper towels in washroom felt like cotton towels Cons: absolutely none
Delicious food in a wonderful setting with a very attentive staff! Emily took great care of us from the get-go! Also loved the manager (one who loves ) stopping by all tables to touch base!
Kim you are amazing. High tea today. Kim was the star as we arrived until we left. Ambience was great. Food was great.
We did the high tea experience, it was SO NOT worth the money, 107$ each person doesn t even include a drink, that s something you d expect to pay at restaurant nowadays but what you receive and the quality was so not worth it! Paid 300$ for a drink and including tip for 2 people I rather spend that at a restaurant and on real food
Shared Mother s Day here for an afternoon tea. I love high tea and wanted to surprise my mom for Mother s Day. The hotel decor was beautiful and the location was central. However, we were very disappointed with the tea and desserts. It was very overpriced for staled sweets. Will definitely not go here again.
I went during happy hour. Service was great . They give you a complimentary bowl of chips. The old fashioned wasn t as tasty . But here is the happy hour menu below .
Went for high tea with my mom. We had a great time, food and drinks were amazing! George, our server, was beyond excellent and catered to all of our needs. Highly recommend checking out the W hotel living room!
I ve been going to this establishment for over a year now, whether it s for a meal or just some drinks. The service is always excellent. I love the interior as well as the decor accessories! Most importantly, Kim is amazing !!!
I went on a Sunday at noon. The ambiance was great, but everything else was disappointing especially considering the price point. Would not return. I ve been to better high tea locations with assorted sandwiches and pastries that I still crave (unlike here). The food was horrible, the savoury items weren t good, had a weird smell/taste and seemed stale. They were also super tiny and there was only 1 type of sandwich. The sweet items were all way too sweet (all 5 of us agreed) and lacked real flavour. The tea was mediocre & the cream they provided was so cold that the tea was no longer warm once combined. Service was not good, we had to wait long/call our server back to our table for anything (they were not busy). Guaranteed you will leave hungry so pre-plan your next meal after visiting this place.
High tea was close to $100/person exclude alcohol. I was expecting higher quality of food. Nothing special. Service and atmosphere was great.
Great environment and service. The oxtail patties were delicious.
Whether you re getting some work done, grabbing drinking, want to listen to good music, meeting up with a friend this is such a hidden gem and the customer service here is on point Shoutout to Kimmy she s a star been here a few times and I m obsessed with the aesthetic
Beautiful bar and great service. The bartender and wait staff were so friendly and went above and beyond. Complete opposite experience from the Skylight bar. My drink was beautiful and delicious.
Stopped in for a respite from the city heat in this beautiful space. Server was a kind, terrific host, a gem--thank you Naomi! W must be doing something right to attract this quality of professional staff.
It is surprising how such a big brand cannot handle allergies. I went for wine tasing with food pairing and I informed the staff multiple times about my Egg allergy. When the food came out, I rechecked if it contained egg and I was assured it doesnt. I was served waffle cone that contained egg and just a bite of it threw me off. I was sick to my stomach till next day with a throbbing headache. No one form the hotel even bothered to check on me let alone apologizing. The poor sommelier was so embarrassed and she apologized but she is not responsible for the food being served. I am so disappointed. not going back ever again.
