353 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4K 1N7, Canada
Relaxed restaurant with exotic, artful décor featuring imaginative Thai dishes & cocktails.
I recently visited this restaurant on a weekday evening for dinner. We ordered the Malay Curry and the Famous Pad Thai, both with vegetables and tofu. The quality and quantity of the food were adequate. The price is a few bucks more compared to other Thai places, but the quantity justifies it. The staff members were friendly and quick. The only issue was that the restaurant is quite small. While this isn’t usually a problem, there was a fishy smell at our table, so we moved to another one since there were a few available at the entrance. There was no smell there. However, I would think twice before going to this restaurant on a weekend, when I might not have the option to choose a table and might have to tolerate the smell. I’ve visited many Thai restaurants, both large and small, but this smell issue has never happened before. If I hadn’t been able to change tables, the smell could have spoiled my evening.
Great spot with incredible food and amazing cocktails! Menu isn't crazy big but the items we got had wonderful flavour. Was definitely the best Thai food I've had in recent memory. If you are a cocktail fan I highly recommend the "Mango Sticky Rice", was a great way to start off the meal!
Had a great first experience here. Would definitely recommend. The dishes are not only very tasty, but also very visually appealing! The atmosphere is great, a little small but intimate. Very interesting drink menu as well. I got a mango espresso for the first time ever! As for dishes, i ordered the beef khao soi, which was delicious! The calamari with the 3 dipping sauces was amazing too. Definitely planning on coming back sometime in the future!
We celebrated a classmate's birthday at this amazing Thai restaurant, and it was such a great experience! The cozy ambiance and accommodating staff made us feel very welcome. We ordered the pad thai, minced beef with rice, and beef steak noodles in curry sauce, and everything was absolutely delicious! They even surprised our friend with a slice of birthday cheesecake, which we all enjoyed together—it was so good that we were tempted to order more but were too full! Highly recommend this place for both the food and the warm service.
Really good Thai food, the pad Thai was some of the best I’ve had. I got the spicy beef salad as an entree and it was quite filling with a good amount of beef. The service is attentive, atmosphere is chill vibes. We rolled in after biking with exercise clothes and still felt welcome.
I visited Chiang Mai on a day that didn’t start off well, leaving me in a rather subdued mood. I initially planned to order something visually appealing for my vlog, but what transpired was nothing short of a delightful plot twist. The staff were exceptionally enthusiastic, friendly, and attentive—like they were auditioning for a reality show about customer service. The portions were generous—one dish was ample for two people, particularly by Asian girl standards and I half-expected them to hand me a medal for finishing my meal. The presentation was striking, and the flavors were exquisite; no complaints there. The cuisine featured a fusion style, thoughtfully adjusted to cater to the palates of Western diners. I ordered papaya salad and pineapple fried rice with shrimp, and I highly recommend the latter—it's like a tropical vacation on a plate. The venue offered both indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for families, small groups, or even a stylish date. My mood improved significantly after lunch here—so much so that I almost forgot about my initial grumpiness. I’m certain I will return, possibly to explore another one of their locations. Their packaging and decor were beautifully crafted, with meticulous attention to detail and a nod to environmentally friendly practices. I suspect the owner has a flair for aesthetics, possibly even a secret life as an interior designer. Overall, it was a delightful experience—who knew a meal could turn my day around huh 🤪?
Visited chain Mai with my wife and my brother and sister in law. It was all of our first time ever visiting, I've been hearing a lot of great things from my friends about this spot. Recommend getting a reservation, as it can get busy, and this location isn't too big. Service was spectacular, our server was very kind, and would continuously refill our water, and ask if we were doing okay! Food was also really good, the ramen noodles were definitely the highlight, the brazed beef was so tender. Pad Thai was also super rich. The green sauce was definitely my favorite sauce of the bunch. Overall we had a great time, pricing was also super affordable. Will definitely be back!
Had dinner with a friend. The moment we got to the door, the staff was extremely accommodating. Apparently it was popular enough to need a reservation. (hint, hint) Prices were reasonable, around $20-30 a plate. The waitstaff was attentive and made great suggestions for new people not familiar with Thai taste. I got a lot of value for the food as the portions were enough to make me full. A great experience overall for people who aren't use to the Thai favor, reasonably priced, and adventurous people who want to dabble with spice. (Thai hot, wasn't too hot, at least for me).
Awesome staff, super attentive and kind. Food was super tasty too
Love everything about Chiang Mai. Food is always delicious and you can choose exactly how spicy you want it. Its my favourite go-to for Thai food!
A hidden gem on the Danforth. Superior quality food even when compared to other Thai places in Toronto. Made with excellent ingredients. Great service. Great atmosphere. No complaints. Well done.
Vegetarian options: ALL the selections were delicious- 2 people had never been here but plan to return with their partners! I had the Thai beer(2 since it was my birthday ) which was also tasty. Will be recommending for sure Recommended dishes
IT WAS A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION FOR SPECIAL FAMILY MEMBER We were more than 12 people. Ordered starters for everyone to share. Each ordered their own dis to enjoy... Food came late... salty, and presented poorly. It was busy afternoon but ONLY 2 people working outside the kitchen. We brought our own cake for the occasion...BUT WE HAD TO PAY $3 PER PERSON for our own cake to share after our meals. Restaurant was told that we were bringing our own cake(favorite cake of the celebrant)to share with guests. But never mentioned the charges involved. Nothing extra ordinary from our chosen menu. Bill was $600+ IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO DINE & CELEBRATE ANY OCCASION IN THIS RESTAURANT, MAKE SURE YOULL GET THE SERVICE THAT YOU DESERVED.
Solid Thai spot. Havent had a bad dish here
Cannot go wrong with the food here. Love the Pad Se Ew.
We dined in months ago and really enjoyed our meal. We thought we would try take away and are left disappointed. The massaman curry was really off putting. You could not taste anything in the curry except for an overwhelming amount of clove and star anise. Hopeful Chiangmai can help resolve this matter so we can try dining in again.
Khao soi and fresh rolls were really good.
Had a great experience. Amazing service, amazing food, great presentation, reasonable prices and a lovely atmosphere. Great place to eat out! Dietary restrictions: Halal meat and mocktails.
Its a halal thai restaurant. We ordered thai shrimp roll, thai fried rice with basil & chicken and a curry with beef. All food tastes great, you will get delicious coconut flavor. The servers were friendly. They have high chairs and washroom in downstairs. Overall we had a great experience.
Very delicious halal food
What a great Thai restaurant discovery in Toronto! I had the Tom Yum with shrimp and the spicy beef salad appetizers which were more than enough. There was even live music. This is a great choice if you are looking for Thai!
The best quality Thai restaurant I ve been to. Great tasting, well-presented food. If you haven t ventured past Pad Thai, I highly recommend the Kao soi with lobster for protein. Friendly and professional wait staff. Took 1 star off service only because a there seems to be only 1 wait staff on a fully booked Friday night, and they were hard to get a hold off when you need service. The wait for service is not long, but could definitely be improved by say making sure they check in on tables more frequently. I appreciate that they wait until our appetizer was cleared from the table before bringing in our main. Small beer variety, very good cocktail variety. A must try Thai in the east end.
The best Thai I ve had in Toronto. My definite go-to place and order at home. Never disappoints.
I have been at this danforth location twice and the food was phenomenal! Service was amazing and fast and our server (I think her name is Jing) was amazing! Super accommodating and very good food overall would come back here again!!
Great food. Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten-free options Food : 5/5 |
Had a takeout from Ubereats. The location is further than I through from downtown. It s outside of DVP. The strong roll wasn t bad, but the Pad Kra Pao had some burned flakes in the rice and meat. Not feeling too good after eating it, thrown half of it. Not sure would like to try them again!
The food at Chiang Mai is always so incredibly delicious! I ve had take out from both the liberty village and the danforth. Both never disappoint! I find myself craving their delicious food often!!! Recommend them to everyone all the time!
Our server Sohan was so nice! Amazing meal.
We went there for a friends birthday celebration. Its a very cozy place with very instgrammble food. Taste wise The items were hit or miss. The coconut green curry was rather mild, and pad thai was a really bland. I loved the Islamic noodles, and the mango sticky rice was fantastic.
Loved Food, Service, Pricing, Danforth location. Will highly recommend. Will visit again soon. Thank you Vegetarian options: Lots good vegetarian options.
Been here twice, the presentation of the food plating is beautiful and the taste is amazing! Both visits Im satisfied with my meal, friendly service and great atmosphere to have a meal with loved ones. Would visit again!
We each had a curry which was out of this world and the ambience was also also lovely. Strongly recommend Chiang Mai. Service friendly and helpful too
The most savory and delicious Thai food Ive ever had! You cannot pass through Toronto without trying this place
Great food and overall great service. Main came before we finished the appetizers
Lovely food,excellent service.
I dare say this is one of top Thai food places in Toronto. Everything is well presented, tasty and fresh. It s always a hit.
Wanted to show my dish but nothing left
2nd time having lunch there. Both time not crowded. Staff was nice and service was fast. Had fresh spring roll for starter. Was Ok/decent. Khao soi was very good and crispy stuff on top is very stylish. Shrimp Pad Thai was also very good. Not cheap but food is good, ended up $82 after tip for 1 starter + 2 mains. Parking: There is also Green P quite close
The staff does not behave well when it comes to food pickup
The most delicious green curry and pad thai ever tasted in the city! We love how fresh everything is and how they can even accomodate children. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Looking forward to coming back soon :)
I love this restaurant. Food is fresh, super tasty, and amazing every time. I have business lunches here sometimes, and often order takeout with the family.
Everything about this restaurant was simply perfect. Thank you for such an amazing experience! The greeting at the door to seating, the attentive waiters and waitresses, and most importantly the mouthwatering food! I have nothing bad to say about this visit to Chiang Mai and hope to come back soon. Thank you!
Food is good but 18% tip is added already to your bill so you do not have option to choose Parking: Limited street parking but parking lot nearby Chester station
Everything about this spot was Fab! The food was Amazing, the atmosphere was Inviting and the service was Top Notch and the recommendations of our server were Magically Delish!
Nice place and good service, but the food was mediocre. Pad Thai had a weird fishy flavour to it. The shrimp rolls were good, but the sauce it was served with was pretty flavourless.
Staff are always very friendly and food is always great!
Good food great service Great dining experience Kid-friendliness: My kids love the food Food : 5/5 |
The food was good and the portions were big. Filling. The flavours were not super authentic, but somewhere there. I would give 3 out of 5 for food. Rest was 5/5.
Here s a more positive rewording: It s hard to find anything to criticize because everything was fantastic! The pineapple fried rice was delicious I just wish there was a bit more of it. The Khaosoi was incredibly authentic, easily one of the best I ve had in Toronto, and it brought back memories of the ones I ve had in Chiangrai. The atmosphere and presentation were excellent. Keep up the great work!
Very good thai food. Very nice presentation on food Food was very good Recommend the crispy fish, mango salad and the thai tea tiramisu Friendly and accommodating staff Would definitely go again.
It was good, but the linestaff showed up late
Extremely delicious thai food. Kris is a very delightful staff member.
I like the food there and the good service but it was a little hot in there. Pad Thai was too sweet for me but the other dishes were good
Really good food, thats literally all you need to know. You can never go wrong with the green curry, crispy fish and beef pad thai. Im excited to make my way through the menu and try all of their flavours. My partner and I ordered for pick up through Ubereats and I was happy with how many customization options they have on there. You can choose between 4-5 different spice levels and also get extra meat or vegetables in certain dishes. My partner got extra chicken in the green curry and extra beef in the pad thai and they were so generous with the portions. The order was ready in only 15 minutes and was piping hot when we picked it up. They gave 5 chilli oils, crushed peanuts, and a sweet honey sauce for dipping on the side. This spot is quickly becoming one of our favourites and I know well be frequenting here more often
I like this restaurant! Always had good service with them and they make the special noodles that stick out like a tower, so really great for pics! I did try out other dishes from them, the green curry, the pad se ew and all of them tasted good. Not a cheap place, though. Also, noodle towers had become smaller recently, for some reason.
My girlfriend and I were excited to try this place, so we decided to visit. Upon arrival, we noticed it was packed, so we informed the server that we were happy to wait for a table. Unfortunately, the waiter (I won t name names you know who you are) was extremely rude, and had no courtesy, I understand it s a busy spot, but treating potential customers with respect should be a priority, especially for those who may want to return if not able to dine on the first visit. After this experience, we won t be coming back. I urge the management to address the staff s behavior, as it may be costing them valuable customers.
Very tasty and extremely fast delivery Update: lowered to 3 stars because its inconsistent. Tonight the green curry sauce was separated. Pure liquid with congealed coconut milk on the bottom of the bowl. Disappointing.
The best Thai food Ive had in the city! The portion sizes and the presentation is impeccable.
Wonderful restaurant. It took away my fear of Thai food because of my previous bad experiences in other places. This is definitely an excellent restaurant, with beautifully presented dishes full of exquisite flavours and great service.
I recommend it! The food was delicious and not very expensive because the portions were big. We ordered 3 appetizers for 5 people and after that everyone ordered the main. There was too much food for us, but we cant complain:) The waiter was very friendly and helpful. She even gave us a slice of cheesecake because it was my husbands birthday.
ordered the islamic noodles for take out last night and when i got home i saw that the curry bowl was only half full i m not sure if it was all they had left since they were closing in an hour but i was really disappointed because i m a huge curry lover and that s the main reason i chose it. food tasted really good, just wish the portion was given properly.
Wow what a great spot this was to eat. From the vibe of the place to the friendliness of the servers. And wow that green curry was the best thing Ive had in a while. Also recommend the pad see ew. Me and my wife loved the place
Food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. Highly recommend.
The chicken pad Thai has NO flavour. Very disappointing
Halal thai food
Chef Mathew is amazing!
The islamic noodles are our favorite! Friendly staff. Quick service. Music a bit too loud. Food
In love with the food from chiang mai I hardly repeat places as I always wish to explore new ones. If I repeat a spot then it s extra special in my books. Been here a couple of times and I can t wait to check out all their branches as I hear it s not the same menu all over! My friend took me here and the first time I had garlic rice which was made vegan with tofu and veggies. Don t forget to request for the chilli oil if you like spicy food. It was divine but I couldn t finish it as the portions are huge! Always book a table! I ve seen people having to wait for 40 mins to get a table otherwise and people actually wait as the food is that good! They have a lot of vegan options across their menu! The next time we went there I tried the Thai fried rice. Gosh that was divine! Also tried the sweet potato fritters which I didn t expect to look like that at all. Lol. It was too much to be honest. Better to order during the day time so you can burn all that calories before the end of the day! Lovely ambience and super friendly staff. Perhaps they could play some nice hand pan ambient music.
Get the beef khao soi and the spring rolls. They re divine! The servers are also incredibly kind and attentive. In my opinion, this is the best Thai food spot in Toronto. Food : 5/5
Great food, usualy really fast on delivery
Such beautiful plating and what a difference it made to the experience really made the meal feel a lot more elevated and fancy for the prince point. Not to mention how yummy and flavorful the food was! Also such kind staff and fast order to table service.
Delicious food! I tried it for the first time. Everything was amazingly yummy!! Mango passion fruit mocktale was so refreshing! Crispy fish Garlic Sauce Shrimp Basil Rice with veges Chicken Green Curry !! Wow!! Food : 5/5 |
Nice little gem on the Danforth, with consistent quality, beautiful presentation and flavorful dishes. The green curry is very creamy, the pad Thai noodles are packed with flavor and deliciously chewy. The servers are friendly and welcoming. I accidentally left my phone on the table and my server kept it safe for me.
The servers were very attentive and accomodating. The food was amazing and the prices were decent as well!
Wow! Just ordered delivery for the first time from this restaurant and OMG! So delicious! I had the green curry with vegetable, tofu and shrimp, with the Thai spice and coconut rice! I m hooked on this place and will be ordering again! Five stars!
Went for a birthday dinner Apps were fabulous. We were a group of 10 and all got served but me. Took about 15 mins for my dinner(Islamic Noodles with shrimp I think they forgot the order. When it arrived , my shrimps were raw. So not only was my dinner late but it was raw. Returned to the kitchen and when my 2nd plate , my friends were basically done their dinner so I had a few bites and asked for a takeout container so as not to interrupt everyone else s flow. My dinner should have been comp-ed but they gave me a slice of cheesecake. Had we not been with a big group for someone s birthday, I would have made a fuss but kept quiet. They did not check on us once during dinner nor offered to refresh our beverages. It s really too bad as the food what I had was quite good
Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options Food
Had a great time for my brothers birthday! Servers were lovely and food was delicious :) would definitely go back.
Service was amazing . Didn t have to ask for anything. Waitress was always checking-in and refilling our waters. The Food was the best I have had for Thai food in Ontario. We had the pineapple beef rice, and the chicken pad thai. Both of these were great but I recommend the pineapple beef rice (Thai spicey). The atmosphere was decent but could use some more up to date features. Parking: Didn t have a problem finding parking on a Saturday late afternoon Kid-friendliness: Good for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Main floor walk-in
Vegetarian options: great Food
Great Thai options here.. good variety and quality.
I ordered the food online and it was absolutely delicious Highly recommended
The BEST food every time. It is so delicious and fresh
Made a reservation on their website for 6 people for 9:30 we arrived at the restaurant at 9:15 driving from quite far off to be told that the restaurant had cancelled my reservation on their own because apparently the restaurant closes at 10:00 so they can t accommodate us at 9:30 Their response being that we tried to call you but it s an international number and we couldn t get through. My only question was that if you cant seat us at 9:30 then why in the world does your website allow us to book that time slot as an option ? Even taking our credit card as guarantee ! To which they didn t have an answer and Sosa was downright rude infact his stance was that y didn t we call them ? Excuse me why would I call you to confirm an already confirmed reservation ? Never going to this place and wouldn t recommend anyone to go either. We had invited some guests and it was so awkward that we don t have a reservation even after making a confirmed reservation.!!
The place has a really bad ambience. You can t hear anyone talk even the one sitting next to you. The place is so loud. The tables are so small. It s super dingy. The whole experience is bad. Definitely the worst for a date. People sit so close to eachother that you can hear other peoples conversations.
Great food mostly . The potatoes in Massaman curry was slightly raw. Otherwise great food
Great flavours and good quick service.
Why visit this restaurant ? 1) Delicious Thai flavours - super yummy 2) Courteous staff and servers 3) Beautiful ambience 4) The restaurant is located in the Greek town, Danforth Ave.So, post lunch/dinner make sure to explore the lovely neighbourhood 5) Close to make bakeries and ice-cream parlour to enjoy desserts. Must try: Thai calamari Islamic noodles Tom sum soups
It s a cute spot. I ve had the Islamic noodles at the Parklawn location. And loved them. The portion size is bigger and there s more sauce. They prepare them differently at the Danforth one. Not as good. But still decent overall. It gets very busy on a weekend evening. So make reservations if you re keen on trying it out.
Amazing food with surprisingly fast service. We were given a two hr window, which was more than enough since food service was quick. The flavours were exotic and ambience was perfect.
Delicious food, good service
The food was amazing. The staff was so nice and the place was very family friendly.
Wonderful Thai food in the heart of Danforth! The Pad Thai is a must try
Beef was really tender and tasty and so as shrimp in the noodles.!!! My friend and I ordered two different noodles and both are super tasty Our server was very nice and friendly.!!!
Nice decor, food is also awesome. Their lobster is to die for.
Good food and amazing staff. Loved the mango sticky rice!
Delicious Thai food always !!!
Thank you to the staff of Chiang Mai Danforth for their impeccable hospitality, fantastic service, and amazing food! My family and I felt so welcomed, we loved it and cant wait to come back! Thank you so much to your wonderful Team! Kid-friendliness: The staff were so accommodating to my nephews, getting them smaller and kid friendly plates and utensils, which the boys loved!
Great atmosphere and the waitress was really nice. Ordered the thai iced tea which i believed was alittle more on the watery side, but tasted great still. Started with the tom yum soup with shrimp which was soo good. Everyone really enjoyed it as well as the thai calamari. Which came with 3 different sauce. Also got the pineapple fried rice and shrimp pad thai which were spicy, but tasted very good. I understand why this place has such a high rating. Green curry was great as well, had such a nice coconut flavour as well as being hot. Great balance overall. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who would want to have thai food.
We tried Chiang Mai for the first time recently and were pleasantly surprised. Beautiful and cozy atmosphere, with quick service. The food was pretty good too. It was mostly just good to be able to dine in and not do take out or delivery for a change... Though we did notice that there was brisk take out and delivery traffic from where we were sitting, near the entrance, Vegetarian options: Many veggie rice, noodle, and soup options...Tofu too. Parking: Its the Danforth. Parking is tricky and available only by Green P metres on Danforth or nearby Green P parking lots. There may be some free parking on the [residential] side streets running north off of Danforth.
My husband and I tried Chiang Mai for the first time on Thursday, June 6th. We were very impressed by the food, but more importantly, the service! The young lady who served us was very polite, very friendly and had a positive energy! We ordered the following: - CM Punch --> very refreshing and delicious! only thing we can complain about is the garnish that came on top (flower, dried orange, leaf) was a little too much (and unnecessary). - Thai Milk Tea - very delicious and had the authentic tea flavour! - Calamari - very flavourful, freshly cooked and decent portion. Came with 3 dips. Definitely highly recommended!! - Pad See Ew - good/decent portion! very flavourful. the noodles tasted fresh and got that chewy texture (in a good way). - Chicken Green Curry - also decent portion. i got the mild spice but it still was spicy for me. Overall, our experience was positive and we will definitely be coming back in the future!
Placed a small catering order through for a birthday party and they were amazing. The food portions were plentiful and they were very generous with condiments. We got mango salad, pad Thai, and pineapple fried rice all of which were well enjoyed. The order and pick up was very efficient. Would highly recommend and use them again.
I was so impressed by the food, cocktails, and overall vibe here - a wonderful restaurant with great prices for what you get! The sweet potato fritter was my favourite, so crispy and huge portion size too. Loved the cocktails, especially as a lychee lover I enjoyed the lychee topping. The chicken satay was delicious. You gotta go here!!

Food was fantastic! (Lots of vegan options) service was OUTSTANDING!!
Really great quality food, top notch service. Will definitely be back, our go to Thai restaurant
Good food, ordered through Uber a few times and always consistent. Love the sticky mango dessert too.
Love love love. Amazing. This is where I fell in love with Thai food.
A great dining experience. Food was delicious and the service was amazing. Very friendly staff.
One of my favourite Thai places you can order anything on the menus and you won t be disappointed. The mocktails are also soo delicious. The service iv been to two locations and both places everyone is so nice and so accommodating.definitely my number restaurant
We were greeted and seated promptly. We arrived early for our reservation. We were able to split 2 dishes between 3 people. Also they split the bill for us. They gave us side plates for sharing. Very friendly staff. Quick serves, tasty hot food. Parking: Payed Parking on Danforth. Payed parking in lot across the street. Free street parking 1 block north of Danforth.
We love the food and the convenient location.
I really like the presentation of food. Flavour is good too. Only issue is the washroom door easily gets stuck and needs to be repaired.
Great wood, amazing service, nice cocktail selection.
I never thought I would say that but the service was too fast. Had we known we would have waited a bit to order. The food is good and the portions are generous and the prices are fair. The waiters and waitresses are smiling.
Great food! The service was quick also! Famous pad Thai is a must and the Panang curry was super delicious ! Will come back for sure!
Our office orders Uber eats from this place at least once a week - first time we see a cockroach in our food. Absolutely disgusting the whole office had to throw out the food after two hours of wait. Update: the name of the Uber order would be Chenaz
Cool atmosphere. Very Nice service. Unfortunately it just doesnt taste like it did when they first opened. I am not sure why it changed so much. I want to say its a quality issue. I am sad to update my review ** The lunch dish is 4 dollars less ( pad Thai) and the same portion as the regular**(padseeew)
Spent my birthday at Chiang Mai. It has been my go to place for Thai cuisine. They never disappoint! The crew were always welcoming and attentive.
Love the speedy delivery! Always hot and delicious
I feel this is the best Pad See Ew in the city! I have been on a hunt for what I would consider the best and I keep coming back here! Really fresh! Wide and springy noodles! Lotssss of Chinese broccoli. Not greasy at all! Tons of flavour. The pad Thai is also delicious. The mango salad we have ordered on a couple of occasions and it is just okay. Not the best but not the worst. It feels to be lacking sauce. Such a great spot - hope to enjoy it for many years to come.
Fast and great service! Food was delicious as expected.
My favorite Thai place in Toronto! The food is nicely displayed when you dine in. Tasty dine in or take out. Vegetarian options: Lots of choices! Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF options!
Our first experience at Chiang Mai and it has become our favourite Thai restaurant. Great fast service, attentive staff and the food was SPECTACULAR!!!
Food is absolutely authentic. If you are tired of of pizza, burgers and for the fact Indian delicacies then just give it a try here. Try ordering medium or less spicy since thai chilies are a bit spicy. Vegetarian options: They have almost everything available in vegetarian with Tofu Parking: Street parking available
Love the food here! Dietary restrictions: Easy to order gluten-free. Food : 5/5 Recommended dishes
Pretty good food, beautiful plating, efficient service, nicely casual vibe. Stopped by for lunch and tried their Thai shrimp rolls, calamari, spicy beef salad, and cashew nut stir fry. While Im used to a bit more pop in flavour, there is a benefit to catering to a wider set of palettes. Can see why this place is a popular spot.
Food is excellent
Amazing flavours and amazing plating and display when you dine in.
Our go-to spot for Thai food
Hello I am very honest person. You can my previous review on Chiang Mai Downtown(which 10/10). Their Danforth location just taste very different than their downtown one. It is very BLAND and has no hint of Tom yum in my pad thai. I thought chains were supposed to be consistent apparently this one is not and its really bad. Idk if they actually change it up and be as good as their downtown location. I might actually give a positive review, but as as right now it is just bad as someone knows Thai food and been to its downtown location which actually better
Decent food, very friendly staff, had a good time!
Dietary restrictions: The meat is halal. Food
Fabulous
It was my first time going to Chiang Mai and am so happy i went. The food was amazing. We got the pineapple fried rice, pad thai and the spring rolls and they were all soo good. It was not busy at all when we got there but i felt like the guy taking our order was rushing us a bit. Didnt give us much time to go through the menu. Other than that it was great and i will def go again soon.
We come here pretty often. Food and service has been always excellent.
Simple ordering, fast delivery, delicious food. The green curry and Islamic noodles are our go-tos.
I love this place and the food!!!
Great food! Beautiful restaurant
Very satisfied! Have always ordered delivery and food is delish! Dietary restrictions: Great that the restaurant offers a more nutritious brown rice option. Food : 5/5 |
Dietary restrictions: Halal Food
I ve lived a 5 minute walk from here for the last four years and didn t realize what a gem of a restaurant this place was. Every part of my experience was outstanding, most especially the flavours.
Only complaint is that we stood at the door and waited for like 10-15 mins before someone came from the back to seat us. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was great. Service after we were seated was quick and food came out fast. Absolutely my favourite Thai food place
It was our first time ordering and we loved the food! We ordered a Malay and Penang curry and both were delicious. The portion size was generous, spicing perfect and they were filled with veggies. We will definitely order again but go to the restaurant next time.
The service, atmosphere, and (especially food) are incredible here. Their Thai food is not generic, but elevated!
Really good dishes and vibes. Spices for the dishes vary on different levels, from mild to Thai spicy. Had the Thai calamari to start which comes with 3 different dips: sweet chili, spicy mayo, and I think a basil sauce? All of which were really good. Then had the panang curry which is a red curry with coconut milk, comes with a decent amount of vegetables and tofu, but you could also choose chicken, beef and shrimp options. The coconut rice that came with it had a strong coconut taste which was nice. The famous Pad Thai had chewy noodles, lobster was alright but the shrimp was really good. Thai ice tea was a little diluted, could do with more condensed milk. Overall great experience, small restaurant tucked away in Danforth to give you an authentic Thai restaurant experience. Washrooms are clean, staff are nice and attentive. Highly recommend making a reservation if you want to dine in on a weekend or Friday night. Take out is also an option and seems like lots of people in the area enjoy this option. They also have an alcoholic menu if youre into that. Would definitely go again to try their other dishes. Parking: Parked on 348 Danforth Avenue, its a green P outdoor lot. Tight parking, lots of cars going in and out. But the other options were mainly street parking. Paid $7 after 6pm, which lasts till 7am.
We went here for lunch. The famous pad Thai was really good. The service was amazing. Our server was very kind. Shout out to the yuzu lychee mocktails very tasty! This is our new favourite place. We will totally come again!
(Update) Used to love this place but they shrank their portions so much to the point that I had to ask if I actually received what I ordered after noticing that a specific soup item that s served with rice on the side was at least 70% smaller than a few weeks earlier. It used to be a big soup and I was always walking home with leftovers, now the same thing is served as if it was a side dip. Very disappointing given the extreme reduction in portions. I understand inflation but this is just taken to the extreme here. The quality overall is also not good as it used to be, never happened before but getting an almost raw pad thai was very weird. (Initial review-2022) 5 stars and I would give more. Really really good food, service and drinks. We all got different orders and everything we tried was amazing, from the appetizers to the mains. Very generous portions too. Absolutely reasonable prices especially considering the general inflation going on, with tips starting at 15%. Happy I discovered this place and will definitely be back!
