Welcome to Isaan Der ! Located on Queen St. East. and Broadview. Come and visit us and see how we are a 'different' Thai restaurant. Most of our dishes are made just for you. Like it spicy or mild , the choice is yours. We use the freshest of ingredients in all of our dishes. Come and see why we are so very busy. We have a NO reservations policy but larger groups (5+ people) are highly encouraged to give us a call beforehand so we know you are coming and will do our very best and try to accommodate you.
Ordered khao soi and sticky mango rice for takeout. Loved the attention given to packaging and the flavors were amazing. The khao soi was hearty and coconutty. I think I'll definitely come back for the sticky mango rice alone.
If you’re looking for an authentic Thai dining experience, this is the place! The food transported me straight to Thailand with its bold and traditional flavors. The servers, and even the owners, are incredibly friendly and genuinely make you feel at home. A true taste of Thailand right here!!!!
Cute ambience. Nice for those with a mild palate? But if you like spicy Thai food, this isn’t the place for you. We asked for spicy or extra spicy for all dishes but they were all pretty mild. Also felt like the flavour had been turned down. Ended up taking away most of it and stir frying it or editing the dish in some way at home.
Great Khao suey. Lovely Ambience. It was empty when we went so we were a bit unsure, but reviews were great so gave it a try, and we were not disappointed. Great veg options. The mango sticky rice was ok, could be better.
If you want to experience authentic Thai food, come to this place. The sauce is really creamy. The desserts are super delicious. Their mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream (see pictures) are a must!
Went here to celebrate a birthday with a party of 7. The service was extremely slow. We had to flag down the servers several times to get service. Food was good but took a while to come out. Cashew chicken was our favorite.
We were craving Thailand, and we had hear good things about this place. Bests: Papaya salad Thai basil noodles Khan soi The chicken satay was on the dry side and the fried tofu was cooked well but could use seasoning. The dipping sauce is not my fave but that’s because I don’t like sweet. Service sss really good! Will come back to try some more of their menu.
Although the tamarind flavor is barely noticeable, the "Beef Pad Thai" with bean sprouts, tofu, egg, oyster sauce, peanuts, chives and lime has a balanced salty, sweet and sour taste. Unfortunately, the beef slices are overcooked, tough, rubbery and hard to chew. The "Papaya Salad" with shredded green papaya, cherry tomatoes, chilies, long yard beans, shredded carrots, tamarind and peanuts is fresh, vibrant, crunchy and has a bold flavor profile. It is a perfect accompaniment for the Pad Thai. The "Cantaloupe Tapioca" is a warm, sweet and savoury dessert. The tapioca pearls, young coconut and cantaloupe balls provide three different textures. The coconut milk gives a rich and creamy texture. A great dessert for a cool autumn evening.
From the moment the first bite hit my palate, I was blown away by the rich flavours. My partner, a Thai national, gave the ultimate seal of approval to the quality and authenticity of the food. We ordered everything Thai spicy as you should too if you truly want to experience Thai cuisine in its full glory. The soft shell crab fried rice was exceptional. Absolutely hit the spot! The pork jowl was similarly delightful. Everything was a perfect 10/10. The papaya salad was a revelation. Unlike the disappointing versions that often grace Torontos tables, this one looked fantastic right on sight. With a little help from my partners native Thai skills, we requested the fishy stuff, which, although I cant quite describe it, made the dish absolutely phenomenal. Isaan Der nailed it. The only place with similarly top-notch papaya salad (som tum) and pork jowl is Som Tum Jinda. we have explored many Thai restaurants, including Michelin-recommended spots, and Isaan Der which is recognized by the Thai Chamber of Commerce emerged as the best. So when it comes to South Asian and Southeast Asian food skip the French (Michelin) guide and look for better.
I had Chicken Pad Thai and another person had Shrimp Pad Thai. They charged $3 extra for the shrimp. My Pad Thai was very good but still searching for that WOW, THIS IS THE BEST PLACE FOR PAD THAI THAT I CAN ONLY GET IN Thailand moment. I cant give the place a 5* for atmosphere as we did not eat inside but it looked very nice. Parking: Its on Queen St. So you should be able to find parking I the area. There is also a Green P in the area.
Ordered for delivery. After 30 minutes waiting they cancelled it. No explanation. No call. No email. No food. Just hunger
I ordered take out twice which was a mistake. The Tom yum is a joke. It was $18 for a small bowl of soup with two pieces of shrimp in it and it was overly sweet and not even tasty. I never leave negative reviews but had to warn others lol
It was so quiet when we was there. The food was delicious and the waitress was suuuuper nice
Honestly love the restaurant m and the food but don t use snappy for delivery it s odd it s preferred by the vendor because it s all headaches and ends up using Uber eats. FYI. Dine in or pick up is my advice!
FOOD POISONING. DO NOT EAT HERE. I ordered 2 pad Thai s, spring rolls, and marinated chicken skewers. I don t know what it was, but I got massive food poisoning and was throwing up the pad Thai for hours. Both ends. It was awful. Don t eat here, SAVE YOURSELF.
Amazing place!! I regularly get the Pad Thai and Chicken Fried Rice. The staff are always so lovely!! To reiterate taste amazing, Ambiance amazing and cozy. And the staff are just all around beautiful.
Omg today the 6th of November I entered this restaurant. I most say I have been missing. How come I am just knowing this place even when I live in the neighborhood. The food taste delicious I finished the whole food and so full. Trust me when I say I am definitely bringing my family here The ambience and the staffs are friendly and welcoming.
I ve only had their pad Thai and mango sticky rice but I have to mention, their mango sticky rice is by far one of the best ones I ve ever had. I always buy two orders whenever I drop by. It s delicious
They care about the food. Real peanut sauce. Real Coconut Lime flavour in Tom Kha. Try it!!!!!!! Parking: I got a spot right in front on a Saturday at 6PM
Food is amazing and serving is so generous Must to go Real authentic Thai food in Toronto area Food : 5/5
Fantastic dining experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend definitely five stars!
The food is very good. Very authentic. I really love the papaya salad.
A lovely Thai restaurant in Leslieville! The service is efficient and all their dishes are fresh and full of flavour.
We went out for dinner at Isaan Der at 730 Queen St. East on Sunday October 24th, after 7:30pm and waited about 30 minutes to be waited on. After another lengthy wait the food was served with the smell of over heated Canola oil. We could not eat it and requested it be taken away untouched due to digestive problems with deep fried food. We did not notice on the menu that Spring Rolls were deep fried and Fresh Rolls were not. The waitress kindly brought us the Fresh Rolls that we could eat. Later the manager came to our table and hassled us to pay for the food we were unable to eat. The grilled short ribs were marinated in canola oil which we could not eat either. The manager emphatically insisted we pay for the deep fried spring rolls, bringing us a menu to prove to us that she was right and that it said on the menu that it was deep fried. This was a very disagreeable confrontation that destroyed any good feeling we had upon entering the restaurant. After she stared at my husband with hostility he asked her sincerely, Do you not want us to come back? She turned to me and said, you are the most difficult customer I have ever dealt with! The irony is that we meant to stay for a few drinks, which were good enough but we left right away because this manager would not let go of an $11 dish that had to go straight in the garbage. We even paid for the food we did not eat and did not have the drinks we intended to have...The woman who was so confrontational about it said Im not just the manager, I am the a owner, a partner, and then said that we can call her business partner, Donald with any complaints. The number she gave us was a fake number. Yes! That happened!
Cheap and good quality, will go again.
I have been going to Isaan Der for a year now. I keep going back because the service is excellent. Earth and Rain served us tonight. Myka was therento share her friendly greetings. I brought 11 people with me, and they did not disappoint. We arrived a bit early and our table was set, and welcomed us with the warmest smile. Efficient and friendly. Couldnt ask for anything more.
Best Thai in Leslieville, I probably eat here too much - but that s good !
The Khao Soi was unbelievable. Great service, great atmosphere and top quality dishes. A must try.
Delicious food, the Massaman curry with lamb shank is incredible, and quite special. Pad Thai and drunken noodles (pad kee-mao) were great also. Nice, relatively quiet atmosphere and very friendly service.
So glad to have a legit Thai restaurant in our neighbourhood. Consistently great food and service by nice people. We always enjoy coming in on a cold night or a summer evening. Thank you for being cool spot in the hood.
Wonderful place to eat, especially on a nice day with the doors open. The staff are always kind, attentive, and so helpful. The food is always delicious and plentiful. A neighbourhood favourite!!
Really enjoyed the meal... good flavours I dislike that an Isaan restaurant has make mostly Canadian Thai dishes... the fish cakes area great... but would also like to see more Isaan dishes highlighted on the menu, rather than the pastel coloured curries I also do not like the Thai spicy option, as in Thai cooking, spicy dishes are spicy and mild dishes are mild
The lamb curry was delicious, with rich flavors. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff made for a perfect dining experience. Highly recommend!
Such a lovely restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious! I got the fried basa fillet fish with the mango salad and the pairing is soooo freaking yummy! ALSO, be prepared to eat when you get this dish!!!! The whole menu was great it made it hard to choose one! Will definitely be coming back when we re back in town again! x
Went for the first time and I really enjoyed their curry dishes ! Definitely recommend their Lamb shank curry !!
The Tom yum pad Thai was delicious
Green curry was amazing!
Loved everything we ordered & would recommend them all - Fresh rolls, chicken pad grapao, chicken panang curry, fish cake and mango sticky rice. Food
New favourite thai place
Real authentic and superb quality Thai. The Lamb Shank curry might be the best meal Ive ever had.
Great food, lovely ambiance inside, well worth a visit
Well designed restaurant. Very colourful. The service was great, the food tasted amazing!
Great spot for authentic Thai food! We had the soft shell crab pad thai, thai iced tea, and mango sticky rice, all of which were delicious. Service was quick and staff are super sweet too. Will definitely be back!
Amazing food. The signature Pad Thai is a contender for one of the best Pad Thais in the city. Lamb shank was amazing as well. Our server, Allie, was simply amazing. We had a couple of incidents but they made up for it with their excellent service and amazing food. Will definitely go there again.
Amazing food and service! I was welcomed so warmly; the staff was incredibly friendly and kind! And the food? Delicious!!! The best Pad Thai Ive ever had!
Food is so delicous... service is superb... ambience is so relaxing
By far the best Thai food in the city would highly recommend everything in the menu. Clearly a staff that cares about your experience and exceeds expectations.
Amazing Thai food, great location, excellent service. Authentic atmosphere. 10/10, LOVED it
Came here for a birthday party with 15 people. Food was decent. Service was ok but none of us expected anything above average. To our shock, when the bill arrived it had an automatic 25% gratuity added. We asked because the menu and website clearly states 18% for groups of 6 or more. Server told us that for 10 or more if I recall correctly, they charge 20% and since we had more than 15 people the mandatory tip is 25%. We were puzzled by this explanation but didnt debate it as we were there for a friends birthday and bit the bullet to not ruin the evening. But how do you charge 25% gratuity without telling anyone beforehand? Your menu clearly states the 18% for 6 or more but nothing about it increasing based on other criteria (see my picture below) . Having a tip that is 25% of my total bill is absolutely ridiculous! At least for 25% we should have been allowed to have individual bills, but even for that we had to split 15 people into 3 bills and again the service was mediocre with missing drinks, no napkins and water served extremely late. We made no fuss during our visit and in retrospect should have because of the total lack of tipping transparency. Just poor business practices all around. Ill never come back and want people to know your money is better spent for your party at another establishment, unless youre ok with your bills growing by a surprise 25% at the end of your dinner.
Queen Street Location - Take out only! The dine-in atmosphere is like a Krung Thep bus station. Delivery drivers walking through the length of the restaurant, delivery prep out in the open on the dining room floor, and staff that are focused on delivery prep. We were completely ignored for +30 minutes despite sitting in the middle of the seating area. That being said, the food is great - very authentic. Worth the drive to pick it up and get it home early.
My favorite place to eat after gym. Perfect high protein meals. Asking for double chicken is only +3 canadian dollar extra. Personal seems happy and are fast.
This restaurant is the best by far. I am a food cretic. I go to this restaurant on a weekly basic. The food is fresh, flavorful. Earth customer services skills are.on point. Hes very friendly amd accommodating. Very friendly . I recommend every to try it.
Amazing ambience and food, order the short ribs I forgot to add the picture
Love going here with a small or large group! Great and quick service, amazing food and Earth is the best server!
Torontos lucky to have so many amazing Thai restaurants - this is definitely one of them. Been more than a few times and have really enjoyed the food each time (especially the green curry). Fun, colorful decor and good service too.
Last night, I celebrated my birthday here and it was a truly perfect experience. Our server Prim and the entire team made sure that we were well taken care of. They were polite, generous, and accommodating. Amazing hospitality! The food was excellent here. Proper authentic Thai food, between our group we ordered a range of different dishes and everything was delicious.
The food was delicious the service prompt and helpful
The food wasn t the best and staff felt wanted to be out of there so we were kind of forced to pay quickly.
Amazing portions, fast service, great atmosphere
Good service and food, would recommend if youre in the area.
Terrible. They used to be good and I used to order often. Now their portions are terrible, they forget items in your order (and then tell you they cannot help when you call) and the food is now subpar. It s a shame. Don t waste your time or money. Edit: I have not ordered since this, but I was looking at my reviews and saw the stores reply. I dont have the details of this, but perhaps it was the particular staff I dealt with and not the store. Still, please, Isaac Der, you used to be great. If you want to continue, please dont skimp on the portions and please ensure your staff are not rude. Thank you.
One of my favourite places for Thai/Asian in the east end. Service was great, we got the pad see ew and the coconut curry dish for two people and couldn t finish it was massive. Food was presented beautifully as well, I usually order from here on Uber eats but in the restaurant they do a great job.
3.5 Tried lamb shank massaman. I know it caters to non-Thai, but their thai spicy level is exceedingly mild to the point that Id consider it mild-medium level and I dont have a huge spice tolerance. Lamb shank was large but I feel it couldve been simmered longer in the curry for more tenderness + flav
Exceedingly atrocious experience. I dined in at the Leslieville location this past weekend in the evening at 6:30-7:00 pm. It was extremely horrible. First, a few hours after arriving home-I felt unwell after eating & (apologies for the details) I experienced going to the bathroom with diarrhea & stomach pain. Secondly, there were no peanuts at all in my pad Thai which I find very odd & unprofessional. I waited until my food was quite cold to get peanuts to add to the dish. Thirdly, the Pad Thai was extremely bland. It barely had any taste. This whole, terrible experience certainly fell short & it was more than disappointing. I will not be returning. Extremely horrible quality & service. What a definite waste.
We ate the Fire-Grilled Thai-Spice Short Ribs appetizer and Pla-Tod Fish with Mango Salad it was SO delicious! The fish portion was large so it was a good idea to split the meal with just the appetizer. The crunchy panko crust of the fish contrasted beautifully with the tender juicy inside. The restaurant is a good find.
Amazing! Fresh and definitely a culinary experience!
Krop khun Mak Mak Kha, Every dishes were delicious and we had a great time. Food
The fresh wide rice noodles are out of this world. Came for the khao soi (delicious) then was blown away by the pad see ew. Calamari was also delicious
We came to eat here on a Friday evening around 6 PM and they still had tables remaining for walk-in. We ordered the lamb curry, the dock, red curry, and the pad kee Mao. As other reviews have accurately stated, the highlight of the show is the pad kee Mao. It is not too salty, or sweet is perfectly balanced, and most importantly, it has a very pleasant chart that is only attainable from walk Hay. The disappointment for the night was actually the duck Curry, which was recommended to us by the waitress. The duck was pretty nicely cooked with the fat, mostly rendered out in a nice sear. The problem was the Curry: it had a plethora of very sweet fruits that we were on accustomed to like green grapes, pineapples, and lychee. This led to a curry base that was a little too sweet for our palates. Likely wouldn t return given the wide variety of delicious Thai in the city. If I were to return would only get the wok based dishes.
So delicious, so perfect, amazing cocktails too
This is a great local Thai restaurant. We have been back a few times now, and each time, have been thoroughly enjoyable.
Came here for a private event (with unlimited food) and met the head chef/owner of Isaan Der. Staff were extremely welcoming and lovely. Had the privilege to try multiple dishes (pad Thai, maw soup, beef boat noodle soup, golden bags, etc). While all the dishes were amazing, their tofu dishes definitely knocked the park out for me. Also tried their Thai iced mojito which I haven t tried before but loved it as it was refreshing. This experience alone will have me recommending to others and coming back!
Loved this place!! Went for dinner and had the crab pad thai and the lamb curry. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Portions were good, staff was super friendly and it was not too packed so we managed to get a table right away. Highly recommend this place.
Thai restaurant. The food is very good. We all liked our dishes. The service was good. We will go back.
Delicious food. Had the Tom Yum soup and the Pineapple fried rice with chicken. Both amazing but the soup stands out on a cold night. Great service.
I just want to drink the Panang Curry. I dont need anything in it.
It s good, can t go wrong with pad thai, they are definitely pumping out lots of food at times, no complaints.
Absolutely loved this place!!! The food was amazing!!! And the service was perfect. Definitely coming back!!!
Ordered through Uber eats so I m not sure about the service or atmosphere, but my partner and I really liked this place. I ordered the pad si ew, great flavour, a lot of chicken and not very oily. The medium was also a lot hotter than I expected, but that was a pleasant surprise for me. Definitely would love to dine in person.
Khao soi is a personal favourite which was delicious - as was everything from the appetizers to other curries. Great service, very attentive to our large group and excited to share information.
We ordered Pad Thai with shrimp. 22 cad
highly recommend
I recently took my wife to the queen street location for her Birthday. It was the BEST Thai food weve had. The lamb shank and Pad Thai were beyond our expectations! Ambience and service was also fantastic. Highly recommend!
I ordered on UberEats. The food was mediocre compared to other Thai restaurants in downtown Toronto. The green curry had a weird texture and had milk added to it, the color was also unappetizing. The Pad Thai was also lacking seasoning and flavor when compared to other restaurants. I would not order again.
Food is very good. Recommend the Pad See ew and any of the curries.
Always reliably good food, eat in or take out
I ordered a delivery using Uber Eats, no cutlery and no napkins were in the package. Also I got a food poisoning after having their food. Do not recommend that place.
Service is on point , atmosphere is nice too. Foods are a bit pricier than other Thai restaurants, but definitely worth the price! We ordered Khao Soi, Tom Kha, and GAENG MASSAMAN, all are delicious and flavorful. Spicy level instructions are precise as well, at least the medium spicy is what we expect to see in Asian restaurants. The restaurant is also surprisingly vegan and gluten-free friendly, providing lots of vegan and gluten-free options. However the music played is kind of too groovy, making us feel weird. All in all it is definitely a great option to satisfy our Thai cravings.
Loved It! 8 people shared plates...Fantastic food!
Delicious. Cant believe Ive never been here before. Panang curry is a cant miss. And pretty much everything can be made vegetarian. Big fan. Food : 5/5
Delicious food and great service in a fun atmosphere
Great place for Thai food. I like their pad si ew, pineapple fried rice, and Thai iced tea. Great flavours but do not get their beef. I have no idea why their beef slices are so tough and bland, but it was like that for both dishes which is a disappointment as the rice and noodle flavours were made really good. I would try again for the other proteins instead if I go again.
Came here for a quick dinner and had the most delicious massaman curry and pad see ew I can t want to come back and try more items, we ve also ordered their pad Thai on UberEats so it s a 3/3 so far
Their pineapple cashew rice is awesome!
As an Asian, I cannot say theyre authentic. The ingredients need to be tweaked, but with constructive input its just a matter of time. Good luck.
Isaan Der has delicious Thai food and excellent service. They only offered delivery as they opened during covid, but have had their dining room open for about a year now. It was our first time trying out this restaurant and we were very impressed by the quality of the food and variety of drinks. This restaurant offers Singha beer on draft for a good price and their Isaan Der Thai Iced Tea cocktail is delicious! There is a decent amount of booze, followed by a strong tea taste, and ends with sweet and creamy notes. The khao soi had a hefty amount of beef and the curry was thick and creamy. The fried noodles on top were not too oily and we were perfectly cooked. We asked for additional spice and they offered a dey chilli and a chilli oil for both dishes. These added a good kick to the dishes without being too overpowering. Atmosphere was lovely with good decor. The setting makes the restaurant possible for even just casual drinks and a private conversation. The only drawback was that the pad thai was maybe a bit overcooked for the noodles, but the taste was so good we didnt mind it as much. Washrooms were also a bit older and had an odd smell. However, these hiccups wont deter me from returning because the food and service were phenomenal!
Great vibe, excellent food and kind service.
Beautiful restaurant. I wish the mango sticky rice had less rice for the amount of mango and coconut milk. Also their medium spice is actually REALLY spicy and Im usually a spice lover. Everything is flavourful but a bit pricey. Picture chicken satay, tomyum and sticky rice
We were 4 adults, had pad Thai, fried fish and curry dish for mains. With fresh rolls, sate and fried calamari for starters. Food was perfect, not greasy or oily well cooked and seasoned. We asked for mild chili as some couldnt handle the heat. We all enjoyed and felt full, will definitely go again! Vegetarian options: You can build a multi course meal with no meat. Kid-friendliness: They dont have a kids menu but kids I saw were happy and seemed to eat, no one cried.
It was good
This place was sooo good. A friend and I went here yesterday (Saturday Feb 4th). We absolutely loved it. We both got pad thai, so yummy. We also ordered the Tom yum drink (too spicy for me but my friend loved it). We also got the lychee drink - so refreshing! There was another one, can t quite recall the name but it had Thai chilli sauce in it, flavourful and has a nice spice/sour flavour. It was great! Would definitely be back. Very friendly staff and quick and easy service.
Everything was amazing. Food, drinks, and the authentic food. The drinks were spicy and didnt hold back. Which is exactly what we need. On Saturday we had an amazing server who was the bartender. He was extremely kind and made us want to try everything in the menu. Cant wait to go back and will recommend to others!
The food portion was pretty good. It will be good enough for 2 people. They made everything perfect as i was expecting. We were 2 of us so couldn t finish up.
The food was seriously phenomenal! By far some of the best Thai food Ive had it took me right back to being in Thailand 10 years ago. The aromas, flavours, spiciness it was all absolute perfection. We had chicken satay, green curry chicken, and pad grapao. Highly (highly!) recommend Isaan Der.
Great portion and tasty food, dont change a thing!!
It is one of the best Thai restaurants in Toronto. The food was as great as the service, I must say. The host was really nice and polite. Loved the interior as well. Will go back for sure.
Nice people. Nice decor. But mediocre food.
Isaan Der hands down is my favourite Thai spot around! The food here is just BUSTIN!! As soon as you enter the building youre swept off your feet by the smells and aromatics that surround the room. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from and spicy options that can tailor to anyones needs. The interior has an amazing aesthetic also, rather its for a romantic night out or just grabbing food with friends and or alone, they also have a party room upstairs that allows you the opportunity to reserve for a party night. The wait time for food was quicker than expected and the portions given is easily sharable or could be eating by oneself and taken home for a delicious meal later on but if youre anything like me itll be done in that one sitting because I couldnt stop eating. The drinks are amazing and my server Fifa was attentive and quick while recommending amazing food and refreshing drink options. Hands down this place slaps and will always be my Thai place! Must always end the night with a Thai Tea.
This is THE restaurant in Riverside I end up taking everyone. Like... everyone I know has ended up here with me at some point. Dates, hangouts with pals, etc, etc. Its the perfect restaurant for all occasions. Its casual, but cute and cozy. Not extortionately priced. And SUPER DELICIOUS. Obsessed with their Pad See Ew. Its one of my favourite dishes in Toronto. If you like Pad Thai; its kind of like that. But better. And the noodles are THIICCCCCC and juicy / soak up all the sauces. Also highly recommend the pineapple fried rice. And all of the curries. Spice levels are conservative. So if you like really spicy, order accordingly. If you hate spice, order mild and youre in good hands.
friendly staff, awesome authentic tasting food fair price, love the Currys I am celiac and never had a problem eating here as along as I tell them when I order. everything I have tried I absolutely love the flavour combination keep up the good work kitchen Vegetarian options: gluten free and vegetarian options
Ordered with Doordash, Tom Yum soup only had two(2) tiny shrimps in it! I don t reccommend this place for takeout and delivery
First time trying this cute Thai spot and it did not disappoint! BBQ pork jowl, pad Thai, pineapple fried rice were all so good and flavourful! Highly recommend!!
Nice!
I ordered take out pad thai and crispy spring rolls. They were both absolutely delicious, authentic, and I cant wait to order from here again. The portion was very good.
Lovely customer service. Food is a bit spicy to my taste. Ask for mild one not medium.
The best Thai food in the town for real
Amazing food can t wait to come back. The pad gra pao was very flavourful with a nice spice level
The food was AMAZING! Great service, tasty Thai iced tea! Overall delicious!
This place was amazing. The app sampler was delicious and perfect to split with our party of 4. Every meal we had was so good. Would highly recommend
Mykie is a bomb server! If you need to know what to order you better ask Mykie! Great food great experience awesome for birthdays!!!! If I could I d rate more than 5 stars.
The food is truly authentic
Best pad thai Ive ever had. Every dish is succulent and cooked to perfection. Service is a bit slow but it is clearly due to their popularity. Cocktails are also wonderful. If youre in the city and youre craving thai you could do much worse than this.
This restaurant is amazing. I really miss the one in midtown Toronto. Please come back Food
In my opinion this restaurant gives Pai a run for their money. Definitely one of the top Thai restaurant! Food tasted great and service was extremely personable. Overall great experience!! They have several locations in GTA, haven t been to the Richmond hill location, but they have a bigger menu, will definitely try it out!
Worst pad Thai Ive ever had. We got it through Uber eats on a 2 for 1 promotion, but it was completely flavourless and dry. Had good experiences at the other Isaan Der location
I ordered a Thai Iced Tea (which is Thai milk tea) and a beef pad Thai. It was dinner time and it wasn t super busy. The server was alright but the food is disappointing. The Thai milk tea texture was way too thick. It was like drinking snot. I m pretty sure it was because they only used condensed milk in the drink. I had to water it down with 2 whole cups of water to make it less thick. The beef pad Thai flavour was fine. But the rice noodle was boiled too long and it s super sticky and mushy. Went to that area for a concert across the street. Probably won t be there again.
Party of many, we were noisy, happy, satisfied and stuffed! Great experience.
Best pad see ew in Toronto!
This is the best calamari of my LIFE! The texture, the taste is everythig. I could honestly just go there and eat an order of their calamari and call it a night - its soooo good it shouldnt even be on appetizer level. Also the mango sticky rice slaps too.
We order from this location regularly and are always happy with the food, however expect to be waiting 10-15 minutes from your order time for your food. Service is not great.
The food is very authentic and delicious but be careful with Thai spicy level, just medium spicy is perfect!!
This was really sad and disappointing. The food was not fresh - the chicken tasted old and overcooked, the noodles were gloopy and heavy. The vegetables were brown and lifeless. Not at all what I expected. No wonder the place was empty - that should have been our first clue. The service was also atrocious. Our appetizers arrived long after our mains, and the cocktail arrived after that. We had one bite of an appetizer (chicken satay) and left it. Two out of three of us ate less than half out mains, and the waiter never asked if everything was okay. If Id paid $10 for this at a food court, I would have been disappointed, but of course, this place was $20/entree. We left hungry and had to eat more at home. Fingers crossed that we dont get sick!
Best Thai food Ive had in a very long time. The great good, amazing service, and great vibes were a pleasant surprise for a restaurant we randomly found on Google. We had the calimari, red Curry, chicken pad Thai, and chicken fried rice. The flavor and spices were on point. We left very full and satisfied. Great find in downtown at a very affordable price.
Very good food, friendly staff. Genuine and authentic.
Grapow was excellent and the mango sticky rice was the best one Ive ever had.
The food was good. My favourite was the basil fried rice and Khao Soa. Khao Soa could have been better. The sauce was just too thin for my liking. We got the green curry and Massaman curry, and both the curries were good. The only complaint I have is that they kept the main door open, which made the restaurant very humid and hot. Overall not a bad experience.
Nice decor and atmosphere. The Khao Soi was authentic and super flavorful. However, the green curry was a little bland with too much coconut milk diluting away the green curry flavor. A bit of a shame, as otherwise one of those rare gems with quality South East Asian food.
Amazing food, taste like food in Thailand highly recommend.
Very nice decorated place. Ordered takeout via Ritual app. Quick, friendly service. Pla Tod was delicious - battered deep fried fish with mango salad and jasmine rice. Huge portion of fresh fish!
For the food is 200% 5 stars. Very tasty!!!!
Isaander has become one of our new favorite Thai places in TO. Their pad see ew, pad ki mao, and spring rolls deliver every single time. It s the only place so far in downtown Toronto that has proper pad see ew. This place is so underrated, more people need to venture out and try it! Earth, our server was super sweet, friendly, and offered exceptional service.
Very poor customer service. Food was good.
Came here with my partner. Had two apps and this wonderful coconut curry beef noodle thing. We really enjoyed all the food. They were very busy but the server was attentive and pleasant. Overall really nicely laid out and decorated space. It came to $54 that included a 15% tip. So really good value for what you get. We got a soup to share and calamari, plus the noodle dish and he was great for two people. Overall really nice and we will be back for sure.
I ordered the BOGO pad thai from Uber eats. The delivery was on time and the food tasted and looked good. My only complaint was that the amount of chicken in the pad thai was quite disappointing as there were only about three small pieces of chicken.
Super accommodating with dietary restrictions, there s something delicious for everyone!
We went for pick up but decided to sit down and SO glad we did. The Khao Soi and Pad Gra Pow were so flavorful. Absolutely loved them. Their servers were lovely! One of the best services I ve seen in a while. They also seemed happy so kudos to people who re creating such a positive environment. I ll definitely come back with friends and family
Really good food. Ordered by Uber eats and it was excellent. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant soon!
I ordered Green Curry and it was honestly the best one I ve ever had. Everything is made fresh and very tasty!
Good was terrible
First time ordering from Isaan Der, they had BOGO so thought Id give them a try. Overall, I agree with the other recent negative review, the amount of chicken was small, which is probably because its BOGO. The Tom Kha soup was fantastic, probably one of the best soups Ive ever had.
Ordered Pad see ew and Pad kra pao. Food is very salty and not a lot of other flavours. Beef over cooked. Disappointing given the other reviews!
They take too long to prepare the food. I missed my meeting because of them. I also saw uber delivery boys waiting for a hour for their food. Ridiculous serving time...never come back...
The taste, OMG!! I was bit worried about the bad reviews, but I still decided to order through Uber eats. I ordered BOGO Pad Gra Pao and Pad Si Ew. Pad Si Ew is super great! Rice dish was still flavourful and generous portion. Thank you.
Amazing Thai food, very friendly staff and super cozy vibe. Bonus points for the killer Halloween decor. Can t go wrong with the menu. Highly recommend!!
Some of the best food Ive ever had in my life! They accommodate vegan options as well! I had the red curry and it was the best curry Ive ever had.
Affordable and nice service .... highly recommended
Dietary restrictions: GF options for celiac Food
The flavour of the Lamb Shank Massaman was ok, but the menu description tender meat that literally falls off the bone was highly inaccurate. They gave me a knife and a fork, but a pickaxe would ve been more useful to dislodge the rubbery meat from the bone. The service was a bit lackluster as well. Atmosphere was pleasant enough, except for the televisions.
We had a great time visiting Isaan Der. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was friendly, fast, and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!
Fantastic food and service. The owner is the full of love and passion about her food. My favourite menus are Padthai and papaya salad.
They said open at 12:00pm but waited until 12:30 still close, if can t open at 12 then don t post it open at 12, bad commitments
Great laid back atmosphere, service was friendly, all the dishes were delicious. We had a group of 7 and ordered a few different appetizers and main dishes. We ordered some medium spicy stuff and it came spicy. There was a hair in a rice which we sent back and they brought us a new one. Otherwise it was a great experience and will be returning.
Very solid and tasty Thai option on the Eastside. Ive been to this location multiple times and have never had a bad experience. My personal favorites are the chicken green curry, calamari, and Thai iced tea!
It was amazing
Fantastic experience! Food was phenomenal and the thai iced tea mojito was delicious
The food here is delicious and everyone was incredibly nice. Also Sophie says the Penang Currie was amazing!!!
Love it!
Friendly service and excellent Pad Thai!!
Excellent. Had the pad sewhi, broad rice noodles with broccoli and beef, very nice!
The chicken in the cashew chicken was hard as rock. Tastes very stale like they served refried leftovers. What a disappointment. The papaya salad on the other hand was very good.
Delicious shrimp pad Thai and thai iced tea in a casual and spacious setting.
Really good food, staff were lovely. Will come back next Im in Toronto
It was the one of delicious Thai foods in Toronto. Also there has my favorite Thai dessert it is Mango sticky rice and do you know what I love that all.
I just had the best pad Thai of my life and it s 1am!
One of the best Thai places in the city. The service is excellent.
Amazing food and service - best pad see ew!
Had a wonderful lunch at Isaan Der Thai Kitchen! I don t usually have Thai food but man was this place delicious. Every bite I took was loaded with flavour The owner of the restaurant was so extremely nice, we really had a great time talking to her about her country and her food! She even gave us complimentary fried dumplings ( golden bags ) for being the first table of the day! They were SO GOOD If you are craving Thai food and in the area definitely check this place out! (They have 3 locations) What we ordered: Tom Kha Khao Soi Pad Si Ew Golden bag
Best thai restaurant in Toronto The food is very delicious. Its like eating in Thailand. The service is very good as well!! Come eat a lot.
Really appreciate that they are super careful about providing vegan versions and are conscious of dietary restrictions. I had the vegan pad Thai with tofu, green curry and papaya salad. The green curry was my favourite of those options. The pad Thai lacked veggies and the papaya salad was soggy and not crisp. I also had the taro rice for dessert which was quite sweet and just not my type. Overall, the food wasn t bad but I was not blown away. Perhaps the fish sauce makes all the difference!
Ordered 4 items through Uber Eats, what a pathetic experience. 1. Calamari is extremely salty, I can feel my liver suffering while the sauce was too sweet. 2. The lamb shank - the lamb tasted extremely dry and chewy. 3. The mango sticky rice - rice tasted like they are a few days old. Flavourless despite the coconut sauce given. The only thing decent is the mango - which requires no work except slicing. 4. Khan Soi - the beef chunks taste like canned beef, not like I know what that would taste like, but again, they taste old and pathetic. I have spent a lot of time in Thailand, not that it s fair to compare; however I ve also gone to a lot of Thai restaurants in North America, I would say this is certainly a disappointment considering this is Toronto.
We have ordered pad thai but it was very sweet. ..I would recommend to try spring rolls
The Pad Thai is great and the servers are positive and on top of everything. They also have a strong music playlist. The seating is super uncomfortable and lacks any back support so try to aim for the bench seating if you could!
We order out from Isaan Der almost weekly since they opened on Queen Street East. Their food is generally tasty; however, their levels of spice and food temperature are inconsistent. We order our meals medium or spicy - about half the time, the meals come not spicy at all, there is not a chili flake in sight. When we order the Khaoi Soi, 3 times out of 5, the meal comes cold while the rest of our order is warm. We usually have to microwave the Khaoi Soi to make it as warm as the other meals in the order.
Pad See Ew!!!!
I ve been here several times since moving to the area, and the food here is amazing. My new favorite Thai restaurant. Staff is super friendly and helpful as well. Will be back many times!
Amazing food! Pad Thai is one of the best in Toronto if not best. Great service also.
family owned, delicious
Hands down the best Thai in town 5/5!
They re food is amazing and their staff is super friendly! Mikey was so nice and attentive. Will be going back for sure!!
In the heart of Leslieville we found an incredible Thai restaurant. The food was to die for and we couldn t stop eating. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat and the staff were so accommodating. Will 100% be going back.
Best place to eat authentic Thai Food. The food was so delicious and appetizing. We ate Panang fish, Pad Si-Ew Beef, Shrimp Fried rice, and calamari. Every dish was so tasty and flavorful. Theres also Green P parking lot behind the restaurant so its accessible. I highly recommended this place
Ive been to Phuket, Thailand and i really love the dishes especially food with coconut milk in it. And so far this is the closest restaurant you can compare to authentic Thai cuisine. The ambiance is really relaxing, the staff are really friendly and accomodating, nice and clean, and most importantly accessible parking lot behind the restaurant. Highly recommended to every Thai food lover.
Fantastic food, best Thai Ive had in a long while. Good decor/service, but its the food Im coming back for. You can make the dishes as spicy as you want, didnt obstruct the taste.
Excellent pad see ew - full of smoky flavour and great texture. Tom Yum Soup was also bursting with flavour and heat. The spicy is quite spicy, which was a pleasant surprise.
I ordered from them on Uber but they left out a calamari dish in the delivery. I messaged them and they put my name on file and the next time I went to dine in, they made up for the calamari. So great service from that perspective. Great food too.
Lamb shank curry here is almost too delicious for this world. Bring a friend and share it. The little pops of crunchy peanut explode with flavour. A must try!
First time ordering here and I m extremely impressed! For $21 (including tax) I got a chicken pad Thai, spring roll and a drink (extra peanut) sauce and that s with a 15% tip! Ordered take out and it was ready to go on time, didn t have to wait and food was still hot. The quality was also 10/10! It s been a long time since I ve ordered take out and felt like I ve gotten my moneys worth. I ll definitely be back! *UPDATE* If I could give 6 stars, I would! This has become a regular lunch spot for me and my coworkers to order from. The food is always consist, delicious and great portion sizes. I had a small issue with an order one time and was rectified and then some. Customer service was great!
Best in TO
Food was really good! Would recommend the khao soi, calamari, lamb curry and green curry!
Excellent food, very friendly staff. Highly recommended
Great Thai food and affordable. The curry was so flavorful and service was quick. Will def come back :)
Food was fantastic and service was prompt. The green curry was very flavourful and was a good spice level
