Super flavour and super good food. I got the chicken pad Thai with peanuts and the rice bowl special that month in November. Foods is consistent throughout the times I go there. Though most foods have the same flavour as I try more dishes. They are still good. Top items to try is the chicken Tom yum soup and pad Thai I love it so much. Would come back for it every time. Space needs more space especially in the winter when we all have shopping bags and big coats. Customer items touch each other when sitting down on the bench seating area.

I went to this place when I had a day in Toronto just the past weekend. This is a cute little place. The service was excellent and the food was brought out hot and quickly as well. If you're craving some Thai food this is the place to go. Toronto always had good Thai food and I'm going to add this place to my list of restaurants to go back to. We ordered a few dishes to share and everything was seasoned to perfection. We did not go wrong with anything we ordered. I'll definitely want to go back to try other dishes from this place

The name Michelin is hugely mis- leading here. I can confirm it has not earned any Michelin stars and in no way lives up to the name. I fell prey when I read other reviews, some of which were misleading, and I blindly went there. Having eaten Thai food from its source and around the world, I would say it was easy for me to compare. It was good but positively nothing to gloat about. I was very disappointed and only decided to read if it was really Michelin worthy. For my readers - it is not a Michelin star restaurant it is just listed in the guide. Go in treating it as a basic Thai food restaurant, and you will not face the same disappointment I had.

Tasty Thai food and great service! We had an amazing waiter who accommodated us when we wanted to switch spots, and regularly checked up on us. The atmosphere and interior is gorgeous, however a bit squishy and some seating areas feel small depending on the second floor. Nonetheless, my friend and I had high expectations as this restaurant has Michelin stars. We ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken, and the Green Curry with coconut rice. Both dishes are so delicious and plentiful, the portions were great! I will say the Pad Thai had almost a too strong flavour—I had to take breaks in between bites, and honestly believed it was a dish you might get tired of tasting. The green curry was perfectly spiced at mild, and the coconut rice tasted like regular jasmine rice to be honest. I do believe the prices are a bit high in comparison to other places that may serve the same, if not at a slightly lesser quality for a lesser price. Overall, my friend and I enjoyed the experience, but I think there could be other places just as good for less the price. This place is definitely worth a try if you love Thai food!

This was a beautiful restaurant that was nicely decorated inside as well at the patio. We chose to sit inside because it was slightly chilly and I don't remember seeing any heat lamps outside. We went around 2 but there was still a bit of a wait because the restaurant is so popular. The food was almost impeccable. The Goong Moun appetizer was really good. The skin was crispy and it packed a bit of a punch. We also ordered the Pad Mee off the special menu. If you don't want something too spicy, this is perfect. It tasted like a lighter version of Pad Thai. I loved the thinned noodles. My only complaint is that the shrimps were not fully deveined so I had to pick some out myself. The last dish we got was the Isalamic Noodle which was so flavorful and delicious. We curry sauce was so good and mildly spicy do hopefully you can take the heat. Overall, it was a great experience. The staff were also so kind and so nice. They were always smiling and laughing and it looked like they enjoyed their work. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for some authentic Thai cuisine.

Came here on a whim after having eaten at their other location, and this place did not disappoint. We were thankfully able to get in as walk-ins, and we ordered the Islamic noodles and the fish cakes. The fish cakes were pretty spicy for someone like me who isn’t used to eating much spicy food, but the Islamic noodles were fine in that department. The peanuts provided some very nice texture, while the curry itself was extremely flavourful and the eggs were also a nice addition on top. For dessert, we got the mango sticky rice, which came with a chocolate mango flavoured chocolate shell. I really liked how you were able to crack open the mango yourself, as the other Koh Lipe location doesn’t give you the shell. The rice was super flavourful, and the chocolate gives a nice balance between the sourness of the mango and the flavour of the rice.

Went to this place when I visited Toronto and I loved it! The food here was so flavourful and it was one of the best Thai foods I ever had. We went around 7pm on a weekday and it was busy but we were able to be sat quickly. We loved the pork with rice & egg, the pork was cooked just right and it was so flavourful and it went perfectly with the rice. I also recommend getting the pineapple rice, it was aesthetic and delicious (even tho I’m not a big fan of pineapple w salty foods). Will definitely return next time I visit Toronto again and try their drinks and other dishes. The interior of the restaurant is also really pretty and the vibes were good.

Very good service and very nice atmosphere. Food was tasty, one of the better Thai restaurants I’ve been to with a nice balance in flavour. However I found the crispy pork to be way too crispy, it honestly hurt my teeth after a while. Would recommend the Khao Soi as a solo dish and maybe the Islamic noodles and pineapple fried rice for sharing. I felt like the taste of the Islamic noodles were great but might get tiring for the whole dish. Fish cakes are great apps. The portions are huge.

Decent portion sizes, every dish pretty much spot on and a reasonably long list of dishes to chose from. Some dishes are very traditional thai fare, others Koh Lipe put their own spin on and are equally delicious. As a group of 6, we ate a LOT and ended up at $40 per person.

Placed an order on Uber eats and accidentally placed the wrong item. I immediately called the restaurant to get help with cancelling the order so I can replace it. Told them that Uber eats will charge me the entire amount if I cancel it on my end because they have already picked up the order. The server who answered the call was very unhelpful and impatient, they kept asking me to cancel it on my end even when I told them Uber will charge the entire amount. Without letting me know what exactly is happening they hung up on my midway, then stopped picking up my 2 other call attempts.

Today is my birthday. December 13. Friday afternoon at around 4pm. Not a lot people in the restaurant. My friend and I are occupying a table for 2. The food was great. I was opening gifts from a friend while we were eating. We got our bill and i gave a generous tip. We are still chatting but after a few minutes we were asked to leave because the waitress said customers need to occupy our table (all in all we stayed not more than 90 minutes). But when we stood up, there are about 7 vacant tables and there is no queue.

1. Food- deserves a zero. Food was awful. Definitely not authentic. And Definitely not Michelin star quality. 2. Service- after a long 50 minute wait the food was terrible and sub-standard. Our food was thrown on the table by the server and our server never bothered to ask us if we needed anything. 3. Atmosphere- loud and extremely noisy. We had a terrible experience and it certainly does not live up to its 4.9 rating, not even close. They have 3 plaques outside the restaurant which states Michelin 2022, 2023, and 2024. I asked the host ,what makes this a Michelin star restaurant? He said its not, its a Michelin guide restaurant. This is very deceiving to the public. Overall, our restaurant experience was not a good one and we will never go back there and we will tell others not to go there as well.

I m disappointed with a restaurant I used to enjoy. It seems like the ingredients aren t being managed properly because the tofu was spoiled. I don t even want to imagine the state of the kitchen, but please pay more attention to ingredient management. This could be dangerous.

If I can rate the service to -5 I would. The receptionist is ridiculously rude, ask me to wait 40 minutes and gave me a tiny table for 2 (he knows we have 3 people). And I said this table is too small for us, he rolled his eyes and said then you need to wait more, then he just left and left us standing beside this tiny table. Complete waste of time and no hospitality whatsoever.

This place is just ok and I dont understand why it was Michelin listed. They reminded us twice before we even sat down that our reservation was only for 1.5 hours and we had to leave immediately after that. Mind you, it was 5 pm, and the restaurant was half empty at that time, so I do not understand the need to remind us multiple times before we even sat down that we had to leave in 1.5 hours. We ordered the pad Thai and Khao Neow Gaeng. The food was ok, but the portions were small, and it seems like we are paying for the Michelin factor more than anything. We ordered the chai ice cream and that was bad. I wont be back. But the good news for the restaurant is we left within 1.5 hours of arriving, and guess what? There were plenty of empty tables when we left too.

So my daughter said we had to go here when we came to visit, so we went. The food was delicious. I love tom kha soup, so I had to try it here. It was the best tom kha I have had. The flavor was very well balanced and rich. My personal preference would be smaller chunks of the tomato, but that did not take away from the soup, that is just a preference. Wanted to try something new so I went with the Pad Mee. The meal was well balanced and done well. I enjoyed it but also found it was not necessarily something I would order again. It was a very good dish, just not quite what I thought it would be. One of those things that can be good, but not necessarily something you want again. If you like Thai, you should definitely make a visit here.

Koh Lipe has long been my go-to spot for the best Pad See Ew in Toronto. The dish consistently delivers, however, my recent visit fell short of my usual experience. The rushed atmosphere, with staff seemingly eager to turn tables, detracted from the overall dining experience. While I understand the need to manage seating within the 90-minute dining time, I believe a more relaxed approach would enhance the enjoyment for all customers.

For the Thai cuisine recommended by Michelin, you still have to queue up after 3pm on a Saturday, and there are only outdoor booth seats left, which shows how good the business is. Scan the QR code on the table for the menu, and you can see pictures of almost every dish, which is very thoughtful. The food on everyone elses table looked delicious too. The food is served quickly, the food is delicious and the portions are reasonable. When ordering spicy food, the waiter will remind you because it is really spicy, but I still cant help but eat it all with water.

I love Thai food, and this place didnt disappoint. The website showed no openings for a reservation, but my friend suggested that we still go and ask, and we did get seated. The atmosphere is Thai, the workers are Thai, the food seemed authentically Thai (as far as I can say), and even the customers were predominantly Thai (or other Asian) as well - which I think is always a good sign. I had a green curry, and it was delicious, and my friend had a pineapple curry, which was served in a carved out half of a pineapple. Striking presentation, and all tasted absolutely delicious. If anything, the drink menu isnt all that impressive, and my mojito tasted basically like a club soda.

I was excited to try this spot given its Michelin recognition, but I was a bit let down. The dishes we ordered, including the Pad Thai and pineapple chicken, didn t quite meet the mark. For our taste, the pad thai was overly sweet and had too much oil. The rice served in , which I had high hopes for, was served lukewarm and lacked the comforting warmth I expected on a cool day. Actually the mango sticky rice for dessert was better than the main dishes. The staff were very polite and nice. The speed of serving food was quite fast which gave the impression that was prepared quite a while before being served. For three consecutive years on the Michelin Guide, Koh Lipe Thai offers a warm and cozy environment, albeit with limited seating, but OpenTable allows for easy reservations. The food is delicious, the service is great and we cannot wait to explore more of the menu! Our group sampled a variety of dishes, including Moo Tod (Fried Pork Belly), Khao Neow Gaeng (Stir-Fried Pineapple Curry Chicken served with Coconut Curry Sticky Rice), Koong Ob Woonsen (Glass Noodles in a Hot Plate/Pot), Chicken Pad See Ew (Stir-fry Rice Noodle in Soy Sauce), Bi Co Moi (Glutinous Rice with Coconut Milk and Coconut Ice Cream), and Lipe Mojito. Each dish was unique on its own and packed with flavour. The Moo Tod was perfectly crispy and paired with a delightful Chilli Lime Sauce. The Khao Neow Gaeng was presented in a half pineapple and we could not stop eating it, albeit on the spicy side. The Koong Ob Woonsen was well-received, especially when complemented by the Chilli Lime Sauce, and the portion sizes were generous, maintaining heat due to the hot pot presentation. The Chicken Pad See Ew had a balanced sweetness from the soy sauce that set it apart from other glass noodle variations from other restaurants. For dessert, the Bi Co Moi was the perfect conclusion to the meal, with a nice balance between warm and cold, with just the right amount of sweetness and a hint of salt from the coconut milk. Service at Koh Lipe Thai was efficient, with staff members checking in promptly before, during, and after the meal. It is important to note that there is a 1.5-hour seating limit. The restaurant uses a portable payment system called Toast, which accepts credit cards. The layout features approximately four sections, including outdoor seating under a sheltered awning, as well as main, half, and upper floors. Bathrooms are located on the main floor, near the back after the bar.

After hearing so much buzz about this restaurant, I was eager to give it a second chance after a less-than-stellar first visit last year. I understand that all establishments can have off days, so I waited to experience it again before sharing my thoughts. On my visit last night, we ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, two Pad Mees, and one Pineapple Fried Rice with vegetables and tofu. The spring rolls arrived at room temperature, lacking the crisp, hot texture that one typically expects. The Pad Mee featured four large tiger shrimp, grilled beautifully, though getting the shells off was a bit of a challenge. Unfortunately, the noodles were overly sweet and tangy, tasting as though ketchup was the primary seasoning, and any hint of shrimp paste was absent. On a brighter note, the Pineapple Fried Rice truly delivered. It was packed with flavor and was the standout dish of the evening. Service was attentive and friendly, which made for an enjoyable dining experience overall. While there were definitely high points, I m deducting 1 star due to the spring rolls and Pad Mee. There s a lot to like here, and with a few adjustments, this place could easily live up to its hype.

Food was alright, service was extremely awful. We acknowledged that there is a seating limit during the reservation email, however, the waitress was very pushy and asked every 5 minutes if we re done or not even though there was still plenty of food on the table. We re only in the middle of our seating limit and not finished eating at all, but she wanted to rush us away and we re very disappointed with that given how we have high expectations for the good reviews. What s worse is that there was a mandatory fixed tips of 18%, and I don t think the service deserves it at all. Would give 0 if I could but sadly there was no choice. Would 100% not recommend.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, given its consecutive Michelin stars, but my experience was disappointing. We ordered the Islamic noodles and the spicy seafood platter to share. Unfortunately, the food was excessively sweet and salty, with barely any spice. The Islamic noodles were clumped together when served, and we even found a piece of metal in the leftovers. The clams in the seafood platter were fishy and lacked distinct flavors, and both my friend and I encountered sand multiple times while eating. Despite the restaurant being quiet when we were seated at 4 PM, the waitress declined to place us in our preferred area, stating it was reserved for a larger group, yet she seated a one-person diner there instead. Additionally, another server rushed us, asking to take away our dish while we were still eating, repeatedly mentioning that we had only 15 minutes left. Overall, this experience was a huge letdown, and not a single aspect was enjoyable.

Loved the vibe in this restaurant and the street, in general. Very cozy and vibrant. The food was one of the bests I have had in the city. We tried the mango salad and the Khao Pad Pla. It was so good! Will definitely try tod Scarborough location as well, since menu seems a bit different. Be careful with the spice level, though.

I dined last night with my friends here and was thoroughly impressed. The pad ki mao was exceptional perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat and flavor. The cocktail selection was impressive, complementing the meal beautifully, and the ambience was warm and inviting, making for a lovely evening. However, the mango sticky rice was disappointingly sweet and didnt justify its price. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, earning a solid four stars from my end.

I m currently visiting Toronto and was craving Thai food while exploring downtown, so I decided to try this place based on its great reviews. Unfortunately, my experience fell short. We ordered Thai iced tea, Tom Kha soup with chicken, drunken noodles, and pineapple fried rice all my go-to dishes. The fried rice and drunken noodles were average, but the Tom Kha soup was disappointing. It tasted overwhelmingly of coconut milk, as if it had been poured straight from a can. To make matters worse, I found live ANTS on the chicken, which was shocking given the restaurants positive reputation. This raised concerns about their food safety standards. I informed the staff, and they offered to replace the soup, which I declined, asking instead to have it removed from the bill. I didn t want to disturb the other diners. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Thai iced tea. I hope they improve their food inspection practices.

Ordered takeout here - asked for a vegan pad Thai, spicy and my friend ordered the chicken version, spring rolls, mango rice . Food arrived, completely flavorless, and the chicken one was swimming in a weird grey brown water. Completely disgusting. The spring rolls were stale. The mango sticky rice did not even resemble the actual dish. Overall - avoid forever. Not worth the 100$ spent on takeaway with nothing but nausea in the end.

I ordered 2 appetisers, 3 mains, and a dessert at Koh Lipe at 8:45PM (restaurant closes at 10PM). The server asked if we wanted the food all together or the appetisers before hand. We wanted the food all together...the appetisers were brought out and upon finishing them the mains were brought out. Five minutes after receiving the mains, we then received the dessert (coconut ice cream + glutinous rice) - as did every other table in the restaurant because the kitchen was closing (~9:30PM). I understand the kitchen closing, but if you bring my cold dessert out so I can watch it melt while I cant eat my food because its boiling hot, Im going to feel disrespected and rushed. This service was abysmal. Rude at best. I wont be returning and I am shocked that this restaurant has a Michelin star. The food itself was pretty good, but Ive had better. Here is a list of Toronto Thai restaurants that have better food and service: - Pai -> The oxtail curry is fantastic, as is their khao soi. - Khao San Road -> Their khao soi is great, as are all of their curries. - Muay Thai Bar -> Their pad see eew is amazing. Dietary restrictions: Asked for less spice on two meals. One was not spicy and the other was very spicy.

We knew we couldnt leave Toronto without trying Thai food, and after much searching online, we decided to try walking into Koh Lipe. Though we arrived around 30 minutes after opening on a Sunday, we were able to get walk-in seats on the second floor. They were quite busy so food took a while to arrive, but boy was it worth it! Someone online had recommended the mackerel fried rice (khao pad pla), and it blew my mind. This is my favorite dish Ive had in a while. The rice is chewy and each grain is full of flavor, and there is a crisp from the hot bowl. The fish and bonito flakes and whatever other magic ingredients they put in produce a wonderful umami flavor bomb. Theres also a spicy kick as well as a curry flavor. Its also *huge* -- we couldnt even finish half of it, despite my best efforts. I am normally not the type to order mackerel or fried rice at a restaurant, so I never would have gone for this dish if not for the online recommendation. So thank you! It was incredible and definitely my favorite Toronto food memory. I also liked the yum sapparod (pineapple seafood salad) -- while I dont normally like the combo of sweet and savory, the pineapple was delectably ripe and the shrimp was the perfect texture. It was very refreshing and a perfect refreshing counterpart to the rest of our meal. I didnt like the squid as much in this -- it still had the inner membrane and felt maybe a tiny bit undercooked. Smaller pieces might have been easier to digest. But this is definitely a great dish! Tons of seafood and delicious pineapple. We also got the kor moo gaeng kua (pork jowl curry), and I didnt like this as much because it turns out I dont like pork jowl (very interesting texture)... but thats my bad, and my dining partner enjoyed it. I also tried a bit of the vegetarian khao soi and it was good! I really liked the texture of the noodles. We really wanted to try the mango sticky rice because it sounded really unique, but after struggling to make a dent in the food, we canceled the order. I thought that two entrees and a salad would be a good amount of food for 2 people, but I think it couldve fed 3-4 people... In conclusion, the mackerel fried rice is amazing, pineapple salad is delicious, and the rest of their menu looks incredible. Definitely worth a visit!

Food was overprice for the quality and quantity. Can get the same quality at any other Thai style restaurant for cheaper. Food was good but not Michelin Star quality. Also, adding in 18% tip when over 5 people is unexpected since normally its for groups of 8 or more people. Service was really good and kept checking to ensure we had a good time.

October 23, 2024

I had dinner with my friend just now. When it was the time to pay, I attempted to pay with my credit card, but it was declined due to amount exceeded. I handed the payment terminal back to a male server and switched to my debit card. The server instructed me to tap to pay, which I did. However, after completing the payment, I discovered that the server had unauthorizedly changed my tip amount. I had initially selected a 15% tip, but the server, without my consent, modified it to 18%. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also a serious violation of my consumer rights. If the restaurant has a policy that tips below 18% are not allowed, then they should not offer a custom tip option . For a server to alter my payment without permission is completely unacceptable and has seriously damaged my trust in this establishment. I am extremely frustrated and demand an explanation and corrective action from the restaurant. Otherwise, I will not return and will share my negative experience publicly to warn other potential customers.

It was very unique and flavourful and definitely one of the best Thai dishes I ve had. The Pad Sew and Pad Gra Prao were also very delicious. The shrimp dumplings left something to be desired. They were cooked well but came out barely lukewarm and we found they lacked a bit of flavour. The service was also great, but we felt the meal was rushed. We were looking forward to enjoying our celebratory evening and taking our time with our meal, but we were in and out in less than an hour. Overall, it was a great meal, we would have just liked having more time between courses to enjoy there experience.

Edit - 3rd time here. Ordered extra spicy this time and none of us found it spicy in the least! This is an embarrassment to Thai cuisine, any other Thai restaurants spicy dish at extra spicy level would blow your socks off! My fried pork had aluminum foil stuck to it. Chicken wings werent special. The only thing that was good was the durian dessert 10/10. 2nd time here. The first time was 5 stars but there was a noticeable difference this time. The first time here I ordered the spicy seafood platter medium spice and it was excellent. Flavors just like in Thailand and great level of spice. I recommended it to the party I brought here yesterday. This time I ordered the spicy seafood platter and requested spicy but it tasted like there was barely any spice, even though the last time at medium was much spicier. Also some of the pieces of squid were overcooked and rubbery while the larger pieces were tender. I counted 4 shrimp (significantly less than last time) Disappointed with their lack of consistency, and feel like I let down my group after hyping it up so much. The spicy noodles (Pad Kee Mao) that I ordered spicy also had zero spice! The other dishes were good - Fried chicken, Mango salad, durian dessert, cocktails. We felt bad to complain to our server and were hungry, which is why I m writing this complaint here. Work on your consistency Koh Lipe! I am now confused on which spice level to order next time.

Rude service. Reservation for 1.5h, bill brought after 45 minutes, after asking many times if we had finished eating while there was food in the plates. 7 minutes later, we were asked to leave because they needed the table, even if drinks we had paid for were not finished. Food was very good but extremely spicy despite asking for low level spice. Waiters were unapologetic about the service and not respecting their own reservation conditions. Experience was unpleasant enough to justify not coming back.

My husband and I are regulars at Koh lipe in Toronto, but our recent visit left us very disappointed. We ordered a fried chicken dish that was priced at around fourteen dollars, and it came with just three pieces. To make matters worse, when my husband started eating, he discovered the chicken was undercooked, and it was all red inside. The restaurant did replace the dish with a fresh plate, but unfortunately, it didnt improve much. The chicken lacked seasoning and flavor, leaving us quite unsatisfied. Based on this experience, we wouldnt recommend ordering this dish. Its really disheartening when a place you like doesnt meet expectations.

Good service and nice ambiance, but so so overrated. Pad Mee with shrimp: Shrimps were large and cooked to perfection. The texture of the noodles was great. It was supposed to be a spicy dish, but the spice lever was very mild. The dish was very one-dimensionally sweet. Khao soi with braised beef: I picked this dish because it was supposed to be mild but it was actually very spicy. It packed more heat than my husbands spicy pad Mee. The waiter was very kind and brought me some coconut milk to tone down the spice level. Other than it being to spicy, it was a good dish. Mango sticky rice: Oh what a disappointment. Great concept but failed execution. Chunks of mango are in a white chocolate shell shaped like a mango. You crack it open and eat it with sticky rice. The chocolate shell was very thick and very hard to crack open. It contained a very little bit of mango. The salted coconut milk was too salty. Too much rice for the amount of mango. Thai tea ice cream: Flavor was there, but it was an icy icecream. For this price, I expect it to be smooth.

I had heard many great things about Koh Lipe but unfortunately I was disappointed. Visited with work friends on a Tuesday. The pad see ew was too salty and the spring rolls were nothing special. The service also was not good, including being served a different beer than my companion ordered and being asked to leave 1.75h into our reservation time because there was a line forming outside, despite having ordered cocktails, apps and mains and not having finished our second round. One pleasant surprise was the list of low ABV cocktail options. Bottom line: theres lots of great Thai places in Toronto. This one isnt worth the hype.

I am very disappointed with my experiences at Koh Lipe. I live in the neighbourhood and got takeaway a couple of times a couple years ago, but stopped because I found the quality very inconsistent, including a large chunk of curry paste in a massaman curry I ordered. Someone I know had recently eaten there and enjoyed it, so I decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, I found a huge piece of eggshell in my takeaway pad thai (about a quarter of an eggshell), which meant I didnt eat much of it. I emailed Koh Lipe privately about the issue because I didnt want to write a negative public review before directly communicating with them. I never received a response from them. That was over 3 weeks ago. I will not be returning.

My husband and I went here for our 4-year anniversary and loved our choices! There wasn t a crumb left on each plate. I think our personal favourite that we were so surprised by was the Khao Pad with chicken. This was our first Khao Pad experience! All the flavours and spices used in the rice were paired so well with the chicken, egg and pineapple in the dish. We are generally big Khao Soi fans and will always recommend Khao Soi when eating Thai, especially with braised beef. In the best way possible, the Yum Ma Muang was my least favourite out of everything we ordered only because everything else surpassed it. I loved how the mangoes were over ripen so that the sour of the mangoes can pair perfectly with the dressing and the peanuts. I also will say it does pair well with all the other dishes we ordered. As for service, it was great! Our server was so delightful and everything was brought out so quick. They were very transparent and mindful about what meals had shellfish (or traces of) for my shellfish allergy. A great way to end your meal off is with the Thai Tea Ice Cream! It s located on the special menu portion of the website (when you scan the QR code to eat). It tastes homemade and hits all of those Thai Tea flavours perfectly. Overall we had an amazing experience and would come back here again :) Parking: There s a paid parking lot and there s also Green P parking on the street.

Amazing Food, But Service Left Us Feeling Rushed We started with appetizers that arrived promptly, but not a minute later, our main courses followed. It felt like everything was being rushed, leaving no time to savour each dish. To make matters worse, we had pre-ordered dessert the mango sticky rice which came out just minutes after our mains were served. This not only disrupted the flow of the meal, but it left us feeling hurried and somewhat overwhelmed. To top it off, as soon as we finished our meal, the staff quickly cleared our plates and handed us the bill and credit card machines without us even requesting it. While I understand they were busy, this level of urgency made us feel like we were being pushed out the door, which left a sour taste in what should have been a more enjoyable experience As someone who lives in the area and has been dining here since they opened, it seems their recent boom in popularity, especially after being featured in the Michelin Guide, has impacted the quality of their service. Very tasty food, and a good amount too! The service is friendly and quick, the decor is original and therere lots of options for the main! Fewer for the dessert though. Of note, it is not possible to split the bill - but they do warn you of it at the door (written) and in person while seating you. Only downside is that it gets very loud very quickly since the room is a bit small. Still, a very nice place! The dishes are very good and the plates are very full. There are quite a few choices on the menu for the main course but its a bit limited when it comes to dessert. You can choose spicy or non-spicy versions if you have trouble with spices. The servers are very friendly and the service is fast. The decor is also very nice and the room is very bright if you are placed on the street side. It is not possible to pay separately but it is indicated on a sign at the entrance and the waiter reminds you when he seats you, so no unpleasant surprises. The only small problem with this restaurant is that it quickly becomes very noisy since the room is small. However, it s still a very nice restaurant to do!

While we were waiting for the server, another friend joined us just to wait for us to leave together. Despite all the food being gone and us preparing to settle the bill, the server informed us that an 18% gratuity would be added because we were now five people. This seemed unreasonable, especially since the extra person hadn t ordered anything and had arrived after we asked for the bill. The total bill came to $180.07, including the tip. We didn t have the extra 7 cents, considering that 18% grat is not a mandatory fee, and we were paying by cash and none of us has small changes. Regardless, they insisted on the remaining 7 cents, which was quite embarrassing. It was disappointing to see such inflexible and nickel-and-dime service from a place I ve always enjoyed.

The chilli lime sauce adds a nice kick to it Pad See Ew (flat rice noodle) with chicken: recommend - if you like the chewy texture of noodles, this is for you! Pad Thai (thin rice noodle) with shrimp: a classic you can never go wrong with Guey Tiee Khaek (islamic noodle): this was the dish that was noticeably way better than the Scarborough location - the red curry gravy was well balanced Khao Neow Ma Muang (mango coconut sticky rice): classic dessert - the mango is a white chocolate shell with real mango pieces inside. The shell was way too sweet for my liking

Came for as a walk in on a Friday night for 3 and I m gladly they kindly took us after 20 mins. It was bustling, packed and everyone was excited to get in. The service was great despite the pressure of all the people. Food was exceptionally fast and so delicious. We all loved our dishes - khao soi, pad see ew, pad Thai, Tom yum wings, and shared mango sticky rice. When it lists as spicy , it s is SPICY. Great priced dishes $13-30. We would gladly come back here! Difficult to find street parking as Baldwin is a short one way street so prepare for that if you have reservations.

Food, drinks and service were excellent! Came in March 2023 to celebrate our anniversary and everything was perfect!

I recently ordered [Keto] Pad Thai-Chicken and [Keto] Pad Thai-Shrimp for my girlfriend and I, unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. While the flavour and the amount of food was substantial, the aftermath of my meal was quite distressing. About a day and a half after eating, I experienced severe digestive issues, including diarrhea. This was quite unexpected and disappointing, especially since I had high hopes for the food. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and ensures better food safety standards in the future.

Delicious food! However, I recommend always making a reservation before dining here, as their popularity is insane. Because of this, the dining spaces are usually filled and crowded.

Cozy and busy restaurant on Baldwin. Ordered the Islamic noodles, khao soi, and goong moun (fried crispy tofu rolls). Portions are generous and the food was quite good. The seating was a bit tight, and the service was very attentive.

Service is terrible! Food is great sometimes when they are paying attention. Was sitting there for 30 minutes before they asked to order and it was not busy. The servers were sitting next me to talking and eating and it was all very unprofessional with servers chewing talking and eating. It grossed me out. I also ended up ordering chicken pad Thai and got a piece of shrimp in there. Imagine if I was allergic??? Overall good food but don t serve the tip at all hire new staff.

We have been loyal patrons here since discovering this gem almost a year ago and it is our go-to restaurant on Baldwin Street. Curiosity was initially piqued due to its Michelin recognition in 2022-2023 and we are so glad we found it. Lovely ambiance, friendly and prompt service and most importantly, delicious authentic Thai food with generous portion sizes. We have sampled quite a few dishes at this point but the best are the pad see ew (so soft and tasty) and prik pao talay (generous seafood platter!). Highly recommend to book a reservation as it gets busy really quickly, even during weekday lunch hour!
