Family authentic thai street food // vegan friendly// spicy food /
This is probably my favourite Thai restaurant I've been to - not for its authenticity but for the flavours. I love the street style twist on the dishes here. I visited the second time this year and ordered the Pad Kee Mao, which was beyond delicious. Portion sizes are huge - great value. My friends got the fried rice , Thai iced tea, etc., which they all loved. I'll definitely come by again for some great Thai street style food!
A solid 8/10 for Thai food. The restaurant gives generous portions of all the dishes. It's a safe choice when you crave for Thai food.
Great thai food. Had the pork belly with fried egg for about $22. Great service and they have plenty of seating. The ambiance inside was festive and they have two levels of patio seating on the street and the deck. The menu was diverse and offered a variety of soups as well which I will be back to try. Very quick service. Good value and perfect portion for me.
Their food is 10 out of 10. You have to try the stir fried sweet and sour clams, and Tomyum fried rice. I always order those 2 dishes when I come here. The restaurant has a unique Thai vibes. Their staff are always nice and recommend us good dishes
The restaurants was lively and the staff were very nice. The seats are pretty tight and I would have been more comfortable if it were spacious. The bowls and spoons were very authentic, I was nostalgic of my time in Asia. The food was okay. The Pad Kee Mao was really good but wasn’t as spicy as expected for the spice level I got. The beef red curry wasn’t our favourite. Enjoyed the overall experience but would say it is pricey for what you are paying for.
Took people from out of town to Si Lom twice now and haven't been disappointed. Really loved the Tom Yum soup the first time and Pad Kee Mao the second time. Portion sizing is excellent and the staff are really kind and efficient. It is up there as one of the best Thai restaurants in Toronto for sure.
It’s a very good Thai restaurant. Great location with street parking. I ordered the clam, tom yum soup and 2 thai tea. All were very unique and flavourful. Pricing is pretty comparable to other establishments around the area. Also service was excellent. I will definitely come back to try other dishes in their menu!
We recently walked into Si Lom for dinner, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance is cozy, providing a perfect setting to enjoy a meal with friends. The decor reflects Thai culture, with warm lighting and tasteful decorations that add to the overall charm of the place. The menu offered a variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was bursting with flavor. Each dish was prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic Thai spices, giving us a true taste of Thailand. We particularly enjoyed the pad thai and the pork specials, both of which were exceptional. In addition to the delicious food, the service at Si Lom was fast and efficient. The staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Our orders were taken promptly, and the food arrived quickly, which is always a plus when you're hungry and eager to eat. Another great aspect of Si Lom is the affordability. Despite the high quality of the food and service, the prices are reasonable, making it an excellent value for money. You can enjoy a fantastic meal without worrying about breaking the bank. Overall, Si Lom offers a wonderful dining experience. Whether you're looking for a place to catch up with friends or simply want to enjoy some authentic Thai cuisine, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. With its flavorful food, efficient service, affordable prices, and inviting ambiance, Si Lom is definitely worth a visit.
The food was amazing, tastes like my mom s home cooking! The service was so friendly and good vibes, I highly recommend.
We ordered the pad thai, green curry chicken and fried pork, along with thai ice tea. Was delicious (particularly the ice tea)
Best food, horrible service. The server asked us how will we do split bill when we ordering the food and She asked us to give her specific Bill count and we were taken aback because it was our first time experiencing this situation. We were asked again and we couldnt help but be more embarrassed by her irritable attitude
Reliably good thai food, excellent service
It s the best Thai restaurant in Toronto
I found a wire in the fried rice. Thai iced tea came in a plastic food container, not in a cup. It tasted horrible. Wasted my money for horrible food
Great place for a first date
Awesome decor, great food, reasonable prices. We will be back for sure!
Favourite thai restaurant in toronto
Very nice restaurant for Thai food with very good value for money! We had 2 pad Thais and they were very good! The restaurant is pleasant and the service is top notch. Dont hesitate :)
This restaurant has amazing food and the service was fantastic. Went with my girlfriends and we had the best time! We tried the veg spring rolls, pad kee maw, green curry chicken and chicken wontons. We also had beers and margaritas. Everything was delicious. Definitely visiting this place again. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options
Good place . The food was great and the staff is friendly. Will be back Parking: Pay for parking Food : 5/5 |
The waitress watches people place their dishes, a proper knight.
Superb food and amazing service. A must!
Had dinner at the restaurant. Delicious authentic Thai food. Frienly and courteous staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Delicious food & drink
It s a pretty good spot if you want a quiet Thai place with no wait on a Saturday night. The Pad See Ew was a bit bland and the chicken was dry, so I asked for some chili to kick it up. I did really enjoy the Pad Prik Pao Seafood though. Portions were on the smaller side for what you pay, especially compared to places like Koh Lipe, where you get way more food for around the same price. Feels a bit pricier in comparison.
Came here because of good Google rating. I had the Pad Si Ew. Came out of microwave. Maybe they have good dishes, but I wont be back Food
My taste buds were soooooo bored! Im shocked at the high ratings of reviews for this restaurant. I have occasionally gone to So Lom for the last few years. I love the neighborhood! In my humble opinion the food slowly goes down hill. I had a vegetarian pad thai tonight. I was so bored I almost fell asleep in it and I eat Thai all over the world. This food is so super basic. Its the McDonalds of Thai food. The curries are thin. with no dimension. The noodle dishes are mostly noodle with stingy, undercooked vegetables that havent been brought to their fullest flavor potential. There is No magic in the kitchen, except in removing the wonderful experience that good Thai food can offer.
Delicious spider crab khao soi, Thai tea milk pudding and thai iced tea.
Amazing Thai restaurant with amazing flavours and good vibes. Great service and lovely interior design.
This restaurant s customer service is very unprofessional, unskilled, poor and overall a terrible experience. I had ordered a $20 dish which was Green Curry Fried Rice with some sauce on the side because the dish is dry. Not only did nobody ask if everything is okay, but they didn t fill my water, provide more napkins, and tell me that the extra sauce was going to cost $7! On top of all that, there were only 4-5 small pieces of chicken which was pathetic. Upon receiving the bill, what should ve been $20 was $31 - tax and extra sauce. After trying to tell the server that this isn t fair as the server incorrectly charged me for extra sauce they kept arguing with me and forcing me to pay and refusing to apologize. If you re looking for the worst Thai restaurant in Toronto, this is it.
Cant be better
Solid Thai place! Food is flavourful and the restaurant was spacious
Love the servers there, very friendly! :) However, their food was quite disappointing, not authentic. I would come back for their service , but not the food.
They are very rude
Food was amazing with good portions too. Top Thai restaurant for sure!
This place is magical ! The owner is friendly and the drinks and food are divine. *They have these magical metal cups for water ... It makes water taste and feel amazing, if youre lucky you can sometimes buy one but its rare. Highly recommended!
server is rude and she asked for more tip
Even the server is not good, not a good place to have food.
As someone who has visited many authentic Thai restaurants in Toronto and all around the GTA, I found this place underwhelming. The flavors were mediocre, and the portion sizes were surprisingly very small given the prices. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Our server didn t check in on us throughout the meal and even brought us the wrong order. I wouldn t recommend it based on this experience. ** EDIT ** I ve attached a screenshot of the owner s response, and that alone should give you a clear picture of the kind of people running this place and the service they provide. Reading the other reviews that echo similar issues to mine speak the truth. It s unfortunate that rather than addressing customer concerns, the business seems more interested in defending poor practices.
Nana was my server and she is so kind and nice; I really love the food and the service. Was an excellent experience because was the first time trying Thai food
Tasty food!
The food tasted good, but the portions were too small, and the service was terrible.
Never disappoint with the food here.
Underrated Thai restaurant in town Updated : Just visited Si Lom this weekend, their foods still excellent as usual, great and kind service as always (Nana small lady) Crispy Pork stir fried w/ holy basil is A MUST ! And Hoi-Lai Stir fried is absolutely delicious
Very disappointed in the watery, flavourless green curry. Not even any Thai basil in it! Have been to many Thai places and the food was much, much better. Could have made it much better at home for a tenth the price (and I grow my own Thai basil). It should actually be a zero star review!
Food is so so. Looks like a cheap restaurant as cleanliness is not good. Washroom you can t use it s that level dirty. Quantity of food serving is less.
Amazing food!
Food was so-so, wasn t the greatest and most delicious Thai food I ve had (could barely taste the flavor in one of the dishes). Portions were also really small for the price you pay, which was disappointing (I ve been to other Thai restaurants where you get almost double the portion size for the same price as this restaurant).
Incredibly good Thai food. Like seriously amazing
Nice to sit at the nice patio! very attentive service. The papaya salad is very authentic, just like those we had in Thailand! High recommended!!
Vegetarian options: Mixed veggies & Tofu stir fry is really good! Food
Im glad I found this place. I went for lunch and had the panang curry and the butterfly pea iced tea. Both were very good. The curry wasnt spicy (just in case anyone is worried about that). The staff were nice and the atmosphere was quiet. A great place to go.
I ve been to this restaurant several times and generally enjoy the food, but my experience today was kinda disappointing. My friends and I ordered their lunch special. The portion was smaller than the regular meals, which I expected, but the unexpected charges were frustrating. My friend ordered a salad and was charged extra for the peanuts. We thought the peanuts were just one of the ingredients of the salad. The server didn t mention about extra charge, nor did they inform me that the fried egg on my dish would be an additional cost. Cuz when I ordered, I just pointed on the menu saying I want this, I didn t ask for anything else. So when my meal was served, I saw a fried egg on top, I assumed it s included in the dish, cuz no one ever told me it s going to be charged. Even when we asked for extra chili, there was no mention of an extra charge, we only found out when we got the bills. While I understand that certain items may come with additional fees, better communication from the staff would have greatly improved our experience.
Best mango and sticky rice
Overpriced for what it is ..
delicious thai food I ordered a variety of dishes and they were all delicious. The price is reasonable, so I highly recommend it if you want to try Thai food.
Great restaurant on the high street, nice seating outside. The service was good. Recommend the chicken fried rice! The portions are massive too.
Always been a loyal customer of the restaurant, until around 2 weeks ago when they changed the menu to increase the price by like 10% while decreasing their portion by 20%.
The best authentic Pad Thai in Toronto. I suggest when you place your order, have them repeat your order to avoid errors. They mess it up from time to time, again today for me and I get all the way home before I notice it is the wrong food. Sometimes it happens when I eat in as well. I order green curry and get pad Thai So disappointing. Unfortunately they do cut the meat with tofu. You can ask for no tofu and they will accommodate you unless the Chef forgets or doesnt read the notes. I love the guys that run this place, you cant find nicer people and the service is usually good although sometimes understaffed likely due to unexpected rush. They do try and they do a good job. They did mess up my order several times and they do everything possible to make it right, still its frustrating.
As a Thai I travel to Toronto. This restaurant is super authentic Thai food! Somtum is sensational!! All the taste is just right for me the spices, the real flavor of fermented fish its so delicious. I also ordered Pad kee mao. Correct twine! It has a very fragrant pan aroma. It s very tasty and the prawns are so big and juicy! Highly recommend this place and I would definitely come back here again!
This place was nice , but the food was pretty average . But i tried very few options . And the place was also a bit expensive.
We ordered a wide variety of dishes, takeout for 7 people. Every dish was absolutely delicious--superb, authentic Thai. The level of spiciness is as advertised. Everyone got exactly what they wanted and praised the food.
Food was great but I got my food a full 5 minutes before my partner. Usually its best to bring out the food at the same time regardless of whether one plate is ready before.
a wonderful dining experience! great service and delicious food with large portions. the cocktail buckets are sooo yummy and worth it (3 shots in there for under $20!!) kind of dangerous how good they taste. will definitely be coming back
Delicious dishes that come in HUGE PORTIONS!
Food is terrible I have a stomachache after eating the soft shell crab
Everything so abnormally sour, not sure if this is more authentic? but I would prefer Eatbkk Btw, if u not offering any service then don t demand for 15% tips, this shouldn t be mandatory . updates: got diarrhea like 40mins after,, now I knw y is sour :)
Great food. Especially liked the green curry fried rice with chicken and extra fried egg. The spring roll and pad Thai both were great too. Recommended to have reservation before hand. Food : 5/5
Cool atmosphere. Super fast service even when busy on a Friday night. Pad thai was amazing, perfect balance of sweet and sour also perfect texture balance. Green curry is also a solid choice.
I think food are tailored for western style
It was easy to be seated on Sunday evening. The food was okay, not sure the chicken was super dry and chewy. Out of all I liked the flavours of Pad Thai.
the tom yum fried rice with shrimp is the best thing i ve ever eaten, could eat it every week for the rest of my life. the pad kee mao is also delicious
Have not been here in a while. Im glad I went again! The food was amazing! Better than it was before! If they dont come and grab you from outside by the Wait here to be seated sign after a while, maybe just pop inside like I did. May be a bit more expensive than you expect, and portions are on the smaller end. But prices are comparable for the area. So definitely a great choice and definitely worth it to me! Definitely will become one of my favourite places to go in the village.
A nice place for lunch. They have a lunch special so fairly inexpensive.
Went to Si Lom for lunch today because we were craving Thai food, and the reviews were good. However, it was an expensive and unsatisfying experience. The space was mostly empty, but the hostess was rushing to seat us, which wasnt ideal. My sister ordered the soft shell crab pad thai, and I ordered the red curry with shrimp and pineapple. It was a mixed experience. The soft shell crab was greatly rather than crisp. The sauce slathered on the noodles was too sweet (almost dessert like), and the tofu was underdone. The serving was generous. However, the taste was really disappointing. Especially since it was $30 something a pop. The The red curry with shrimp and pineapple was much tastier in comparison with a depth of flavour beyond the kick of sweet. However, the serving size was on a smaller scale. Finally, we ordered the house special: blue pea lemonade. Imagine, if youve had it, flat unsweetened grape Ribena watered down with ice, and youll have an idea of the taste. The bill was $70+ excluding tip. Eyewatering for the meal. My sister paid, because after our discussion it was agreed: that shed rather have me pay for a meal that she (1) enjoyed, and (2) finished as opposed to a unsatisfactory one. So thats what we did.
Cute Thai restaurant!
Came for lunch and the mango sticky rice dessert was the best I ve had in a long time. Got the beef khao soi lunch special which comes with 2 veggie spring rolls. The khao soi was delicious! The chicken pad si ew was also very good, the noodles had a nice texture and you can really taste the smokiness from being stir fried in a very hot wok. The mango sticky rice was absolutely perfect, the mango was ripe and sweet, the sticky rice was the right texture and the coconut milk was not too sweet. The restaurant has a Muay Thai theme, which was fun. Patio was available. Service was great. Would highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Has vegetarian options Parking: Green p parking along Church st Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly
I came here with a group of friends and we had a great time. It felt like we ordered everything, and it was all delicious ! Its a great spot for thai food - Id say much better than the chain restaurant stuff. If youre looking for some tasty food, give it a try!
Great atmosphere and great food. Green curry and tomyum fried rice were very good.
Called for lunch special that is supposed to have spring roll but they ran out, but refused to substitute anything else (no extra pop, nothing). Just said Sorry, nothing they can do. So bizzare. Normally restaurants offer a substitute if they cant provide something with the order...no concept of customer retention. And the food is really just OK for the very high price.
Amazing taste, great value and fantastic service. Couldn t ask for a better experience. I recommend the Panaang Curry with fried fish and shrimp!
You will love it here. The food is fantastic! Curry Penang shrimp curry is outstanding, although not particularly big. Fried rice and mango sticky rice pudding also very good. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Some options
Would Return. Strong wok hei on the stir fry here makes it a must try on the noodles. Papaya salad was off balance, a little too sweet without enough tang or fish sauce. Pad Kee Mao was delicious, slightly sweet, perfect smoke and char on the noodles, decent portion as well. Recommended. Nam Tok Beef starter is skippable, meh flavours and small portion. Takes AMEX. Expect $30+pp.
Authentic Thai food and great service
Church Street is full of excellent restaurants. Si Lom Thai Bistro was no exception. The food was delicious and served promptly. While they had a decent looking bar, it was too early in the day for me to have a drink. I recommend the wings and the crispy pork pad Thai. There were veg options but how can you say no to crispy pork?!
This Thai restaurant was pretty busy when we came in for dinner. I ordered the papaya salad with salted eggs, while my friend got the crispy pork with garlic sauce on rice. The papaya salad was fresh and tangy overall really enjoyable. However, my friend s dish was pretty standard. The crispy pork was pretty hard and took a while to chew. Service was nice and the restaurant interior was pretty clean and vibey!
Delicious Thai food. Everything was super tasty, but I especially adore their Tom Kha Gai (coconut) soup!
Restaurant needs to stop acting like they have michelin star update: owner responded back, but too much of a wuss to type it in english. Theyre probably too busy cleaning the restaurant from rats, to translate what they said. (update after owner responded): yes it is the norm BUT ITS STILL NOT THE LAW, so idk what your point is. Maybe pay your employees better, so they wont rely on tips. If you care about tipping so much, then dont add a No tip option when its time for the bill. Food is definitely more expensive than other Thai places, Id say $20-$30 dollars was the range. Cocktails were same price as other overpriced restaurants $12.50, it tastes decent. When I paid, we stayed for a little bit as I was waiting for my friend to come out of the washroom. The server went up to us again regarding our receipt saying that they saw we didnt tip and they take tipping very seriously. Restaurant shouldve stated that clearly in their menu, that was such an awkward experience. Dont think there was any mind-blowing experience for us to tip, servers are expected to show basic respect to customers anyways. Wouldve been better to say it privately, instead of saying it loudly for other customers to hear. Theres no law that requires customers to tip everytime they eat out, servers are alreadyy paid per hour. overall, food was mid.
This place sucks, I got a green curry and it was the smallest portion of food I ve ever received !!! 27$$ for what ? Lol the curry was not even good. Avoid this place
Good food but the portions are half of what they were a year ago. I don t think I ll be back.
I always give this place good ratings (their pad kee mao and Penang curry are amazing) but I was shocked at my order this time of their mango sticky rice. This was take out. It s $10 for such a sad portion - a tiny bite of rice and not even half a mango! Even with inflation this is a shocker. I also got noodles with my order which were fine and regular portions.
I love Thai food and found it really hard to find a good Thai restaurant until I tried Si Lom Thai Bistro. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food in downtown Toronto. I would love to go again.
Pad Thai doesn t taste like thai
Great food and great atmosphere! A go-to spot for authentic Thai food.
amazing service and good
Food is fantastic here. There may be a bit of a wait to get seated. The restaurants gets packed fast on weekends. The seating is quite uncomfortable, especially the high chairs. Some cushioning on the seats would be nice. The Tom yum fried rice was mind blowingly good. Penang curry was also quite good. Portions are small given the price.
Food is really good but portion wise is on the smaller end which makes it pricier as you would want to order additional appetizers or soup so expect 40-50$ a person before tips for a normal meal. However everything is expensive nowadays in Toronto so still a good spot
Taste is fine but the portion is SMALL.
Ripped off. Why is the Ontario Tax at 15.3%??? check your receipts.
We had the chicken pad see ew and pad kee mao chicken and both were delicious. The pad see ew was not spicy and had a really authentic Thai flavour. Broccoli was perfectly cooked. The pad kee mao was spicy and delicious! The blue pea tea with lemonade is mild and thirst quenching. Busy place on a Wednesday night at 8pm. Definitely will be back soon!
2024 March 3.5 A decent Thai restaurant offering a variety of dishes, some unique to this restaurant. Tom Yum Koong 10 A standard shrimp soup loved by many. Not bad. Pad Thai Moo Krob 22 Basil with crispy pork with Rice noodles. A bit spicy. Pork was a bit dry and hard to chew on. Pineapple Fried Rice CHICKEN 20.95 Pretty good and has the firey taste from the stove Tom Kha Kai 10 A coconut soup, but the tartness from the lime was overpowering. Khao Soi 21.95 + $1.95: CHICKEN Noodle chicken in a thick curry bowl. Was ok. Talay Pad Ka Prao 27 A stir fry seafood platter with egg on rice. Was ok. Pad Kee Mao Moo Krob 22.5 Stir fired flat noodles, egg, Long beans, Small spicy chilli, red and green long chilli with holy basil and crispy pork. Again, the pork was a bit dry. Fried Rice Tom Yum With Shrimp (kao Pad) 23.95 Pretty good and flavorful. If considering a rice dish, this isnt bad. Singha beer 8.75 Panang 20.95 + $5.95:Chicken A curry chicken dish with a side of rice. The curry was way too sweet. Overall, the food portions are a bit smaller and while the tastes is good, it is certainly on the sweeter side and lacks the intense flavors of the herbs and spices. Soup portions are ok.
Discovered this place on a trip to Toronto where a group of us were staying nearby. Really good food and amazing drinks. Love the ambiance and the staff were fantastic! We dined there twice on our short weekend stay just to tell you how much we loved it! Definitely will dine here again on our next trip to Toronto. Highly recommend!
I absolutely loved this sweet little Thai place. Amazing food and service. We loved the vegan Pad Kee Mau so much that we visited the place twice in a row. So homely and fulfilling.
Feel like you re in Thailand!! Vegetarian options: Vegan menu Food : 5/5 |
Outrage price. For $27 you get more rice than seafood in an already not-so-large container. Under that fried egg there are only 4 or 5 rings of squid, a few tiny chunks of fish, 2 mussels and 2 shrimp. Used to love here but not going to frequent Si Lom anymore.
Expensive as hell
This is my go-to Thai food restaurant!
The staff is excellent and friendly!
Si Lom is our all time favourite Thai place. Food is always delicious and definitely come by for lunch specials.
Great food. The Pad Thai was solid. Loved the Thai iced green tea! Floral and superb.
Very delicious, will come again next time.
Very delicious and great service.
Ordered through Uber eats pad Thai like I have for the past 2 years many many times.. asked for extra peanuts in my pad Thai. My total for my bill was $30.. my bill after I placed my order got adjusted to $39 for 1 g of peanuts.. do not order from this place
Great service here. Tried the Pad Kee Mao and it was delicious. Would recommend coming here.
Tumbled upon this place while looking for end min dinner last night with my friend. Some of the items on the menu I have never even heard about them before. We ordered the clams and fish. Both the dishes were very unique and flavourful. But we couldn t resist ourselves to try their Tom yum fried rice as we saw almost every table was ordering it. And it was delicious. Both the clams and Tom yum fried rice are recommended in their must try list on the menu. The portions are good size and reasonably priced. I asked the waiter, from which part of Thailand the food was representing and he said central Thailand. The service was good and the casual atmosphere was great. Definitely coming back to this place to try other dishes on the menu.
Food quality is great and delicious. I was a repeat customer. Highly recommended Vegetarian options: Limited
Came for takeout and somehow a large soup, a green curry, and a mango sticky rice came to $70. Although the food was good, I wouldn t say it was good value: maybe the ambience justified the price, but for takeout, I wouldn t order again.
Went here with a friend and it was super delicious! We ordered the Pad Thai with tofu and Green Curry. The Pad Thai was really really yummy and had a great sauce and vegetables. The Green curry was also really good, especially with some rice. I got the cold blue lemon tea, which was good but not necessarily worth the price (a mild sweet/sour drink but fun colour). The staff were also very friendly and nice ambiance!
I wish I could rate the food 0. Crispy pork pad Thai was dry and tasted of soy sauce and syrup. No Thai flavors. The crispy pork was drier than dry wall. The coconut soup was full of fish sauce. Fish sauce deepens flavor, but when it overpowers everything else its gross. Somethings consistently wrong with their takeout and Im not wasting my time complaining so that they get the order right for next time. Im not spending money, not getting what I paid for, and somehow come back next time. There is no next time.
Good thai food best service
Nice place to hangout ;)
Good food. Good service. I recommend this restaurant.
Good portion, flavourful and affordable for Thai lovers in downtown Toronto. Service was quick and attentive. Music was loud though! We ordered 4 dishes and the highlight is Pad Kee Mao Moo Krob, which is stir fried noodles with crispy pork. Must try! Crispy pork is not oily, not too salty and indeed crispy. We got Thai milk tea too - lack of milky taste - not the best that I ve tried.
The best and the most authentic Thai food I had in Ontario! Really love going there Parking: There s a parking lot nearby but it s expensive
Vegetarian options: Only one available which is my go to. Green curry with rice. Food
Good
Ive had the pleasure of both dining in & taking out food from Si Lom Thai Bistro, & it has become a favourite spot for its delicious Thai cuisine. One standout feature for me is their incredibly tasty Pad Thai, which they skillfully prepare completely gluten-free upon request. As someone with dietary restrictions, I appreciate their dedication to accommodating various needs. The portion sizes at Si Lom Thai Bistro are generous, often providing enough for a satisfying meal with a take-home bag to spare. During the summer, the outdoor patio adds a lovely touch to the dining experience. Its a perfect spot to enjoy the flavours of Thai cuisine in a more relaxed setting. However, inside the restaurant, the space is a bit cramped, making it less than ideal for personal conversations. While the overall ambiance is pleasant, the cozy interior might not suit those seeking a more private dining experience. In conclusion, Si Lom Thai Bistro is a go-to for flavourful Thai dishes, especially their delightful gluten-free pad Thai. Whether you choose to dine in or take out, the delicious food & ample portion sizes make it a satisfying choice. If youre a fan of Thai cuisine & dont mind the cozy interior, this restaurant is worth a visit. Wheelchair accessibility: Extremely heavy door to open
I am trying to find authentic Thai food place for so long and this is it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Food is decent but gravy is on the sweet end. But horrible service. Just ask for the bill once and waitress gave dirty look and rudely said she needed time to prepare. The bill never came until we asked after twenty mins. Forced for 18 percent tips and one person who has his own separate order (not sharing with us) was forced to pay 18 percent tip as the rest of our 5 people group. Talked loudly and impolitely. If you want a great time with your friend, AVOID!!!
Absolutely love the staff here. So warm and welcoming. The food is even better makes me feel like I am back in Thailand.
This is a warm and delicious Thai restaurant. I am happy to be able to eat authentic Thai food in downtown Toronto The service staff is also very friendly. It is a restaurant that I will visit again
Food is ok but no worth such price
I just returned from Thailand when I went there... Maybe my opinions biased, but the pad thai from Thailand is much better and the have no choice but to compare, sorry
The food is great, love the environment and definitely try the mango sticky rice. One of the best Ive had in DT Food
real delicious and excellent service
cute furnitures!
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Toronto. Food is authentic and very similar to good street food youll get in Bangkok. They have one of the best Pad Kaprao (pork basil) in Toronto.
This place is so cozy, and the food comes out hot and so flavorful. I want to try all the menu items! Trust the spiciness levels, I got medium and it was plenty spicy for me.
Great atmosphere and big space, was easy to get a seat on a Thursday for dinner. Dishes are served so fast, so wait times shouldn t be long! I had the Tom Yum soup which comes in a personal size (which I was able to share between 2 people)! It was really good and sour in a good way, would definitely recommend trying it. The crispy pork pad see ew and chicken wings were good too, but nothing too special. The Tom Yum was the star of the show for me.
This restaurant is good vibe, delicous, and friendly service. I would recommend you to try ka prao rice and pad Thai with any meat what you want ( chicken, beef, and crispy pork). If you were veggan or Islam, you should tell the staff before because here had a menu for vegan too and the staff recommend the best option menu for Islam or veggan
Pat thai is overly sweet. Waitress got my table wrong and tried to charge the wrong order. Would not recommend
Overpriced and small portions. Average taste
Everything is good
Good and service was really good :)
Delicious food! Empty plate every time! Love the crispy pork series
Si Lom is our favourite Thai Restaurant in the city. This place is authentic as it gets! The Moor Fai, Pad ka Prow and Pad Hoi Lai are our faves, but everything you order here will for sure make your tummy happy. To boot, the people here are lovely. Always attentive, even when the restaurant is packed (a testament to how great this place is)
It s my go to Thai restaurant in Toronto. Very nice and cool staff, great Thai food and nice Thai vibe. I love it!
We got the Khao Soi and the Pad Kree Mao - both were delicious with layers of wonderful flavors. We will definitely come back to try their other specialties.
100% satisfy with thai street food.
Very delicious, highly recommended
Food and service were ok but I saw a mouse. So i told them and left right away.
I ordered a dish of stir fried sea food with rice. It was 27 dollars before tax. They served the meal in a very small congested worn-out plat like you buy french fries from a fast food place. But that is ok if the quality of the food is great. But none the sea food items were fresh or cooked right. There could be some other great dishes in the menu with reasonable prices, but I would not recommend this place if you are planning to spend some extra bucks for a standard food.
Awesome food
Great Thai food and a worthy sister restaurant to Pai. The chicken laab was fantastic; acidic, savoury, and satisfying, even with the cilantro I loved every bit. The pad Thai is also very good, but I we found the spice level to be very inconsistent. My friend had ordered the same spice level and his was much more mild. The Thai iced tea float was a bit of a let down and I think I d have preferred just the iced tea. Ultimately I think KSR and Pai are better, but this place is great for a Thai food fix and probably the best in this area of the city.
Great experience and service!
