Husband-and-wife owners serve classic Thai fare, from spring rolls to curries, in a casual setting.
Pro- quick service authentic Thai food- veg- non veg -vegan option Delicious food with traditional atmosphere - very well ambience Cons- parking in road
What we ordered on ubereats: Buy 1 get 1 free fried calamari (sooo good!!), pad gra pow, pad kee mao and garlic beef nua gra teaum. Everything was really good, the flavours were well balanced and the portions are great. We’ll definitely order from here again!
I tried the Cashew nut chicken in appetizers and Panang Salmon in the main course, the food is really good but the service at this location on a Friday evening was very slow and could be due to busy time but I think this location needs more servers as its too slow when its getting busy at times. Overall a wonderful experience and the food was really good. I would come back again sometime.
Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! Speaking of indulgence, the flat egg noodles in the Khao Soi act as a mop to soak up the decadently creamy broth, which has an unctuous texture and flavour thanks to the coconut milk and various spices. The fried noodles on top provide a wonderful contrast in texture of soft and crispy, and despite the meat being as lean as Dwayne Johnson, it was surprisingly tender (also like Dwayne Johnson?).
I enjoy coming here, as well as their other family of restaurants. The food at this location is usually consistent, the service is friendly (however sometimes not the most efficient)…however that’s ok if you’re not in a rush! On the most recent, we arrived on a Tuesday at around 5pm. We started with the Fresh Rolls w/shrimp. Although the contents inside the rolls were fine, the actual wrapper was quite hard, which could indicate they were most likely not made that day, as in not “fresh”. 5/10 Next we had the Khao Soi which was 10/10. It was slurpy, full of delicious noodles and pieces of chicken dressed with a healthy amount coconut curry gravy. It’s quite filling but it fuels your soul. Pad Gra Prow w/chicken was our 3rd dish and the flavours were perfectly balanced, however it wasn’t hot (temperature-wise). Would have tasted better if it wasn’t room temperature. Overall, the Khao Soi saved the night. Perhaps it was an off night for them, but that can happen from time to time. I’m sure our next visit will be better. Update TBD
This was date night for the hubs and I. We don’t live in Toronto and it took an hour and 20min to get to the restaurant. It’s always worth the drive but the service by the tall, male, Caucasian server needs work. If you’re going to take a table’s order, check up on them. Not once did you come to our table asking how was the food, did we need more water. We had to get the attention of another server to assist us and he wasn’t even assigned to our table. The food was great as always but the original server got our spice level order wrong and did double spicy for the pad Thai (we only wanted spicy), and we couldn’t eat it. We told the other server who put in an order for another one. We order the fresh rolls (veggie), wings, made man curry, and chicken pad Thai.
The food was delicious! The service was friendly, but extremely slow! It is clear that the restaurant is understaffed. The two servers were working hard to ensure everyone was taken care of, but they were definitely trying their best to stay afloat! Someone attended to us to take our order 25 minutes after we arrived. Food arrived 35 minutes after. The wait time was upsetting. We ordered: Shrimp Pad Thai - Thai Spicy - DELICIOUS Beef Pad Kee Mao - Thai Spicy - DELICIOUS Thai Iced Tea - DELICIOUS! Do not order Thai spicy if you cannot handle it. My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed the spice level!
Wonderful restaurant to try Thai food. Every dish we ordered was delish! It is packed with flavours with a little kick of spice. Wonderful service and great ambiance. Thank you to the chefs in the back crafting great plates to please the palate. We will come back...hungry for more!
I literally come from Kitchener for the Khao Soi. This is what makes travelling to Toronto worth it
It was the first time I had Thai food and it was amazing food
Great food, cool staff! Especially the young lady with the chair tattoo! What if? There was edible glitter in the drinks? The pink one needs glitter Food : 5/5
Was there for dinner with friends on Friday night the food was delicious and the portions are huge I shared Chicken Satay and Beef Khao Soi which was delicious. It was more than enough for 2 people, I would recommend making reservations before going the place was busy.
Update 2024/09- Serious shrinkflation. Prices much higher. Portions smaller. Desperate need of a refresh. Tables and floor are sticky. Restrooms borderline gross. I was also quite sick after my green curry. Won t be going back. Parking: Meter parking on Dundas. Side streets ok.
Drinks and food were sooo delicious!!
Best in the hood. Always room. Amazing service. Very tasty.
Ordered pad thai on Uber, chose medium spice level. Literally had zero flavour. No spice at all and didn t even taste like tamarind or even salt. Big disappointment. Not sure if the cook messed up or if they changed the recipe to be bland on purpose but it was the worst pad thai I have actually ever had. Also the tofu added to it was not seasoned or cooked.
Top notch food. Quality consistent Highly recommend!!! Food
Food is good, staff is friendly but they are cashless so personally thats a deal breaker for me. I wont be returning to sukhothai for that reason. Unfortunate.
the masaman curry is top tier Dietary restrictions: vegan alternatives for almost every menu item Food : 5/5 |
It was hot and stuffy inside. Server spilled a whole container of chili oil over my phone and purse. Other than a passing apology and some paper towel did not get an offer to make it right. The salmon from my curry was extremely dry.
DOES NOT TAKE CASH! I cant support a business that will not accept business from the cities most struggling citizens. You dont take cash, but you have the gull to ask me for a 18% tip on takeout? lol. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly but the prices are outrageous. Thai fried rice with chick and two sides of spring rolls = $60 plus tip.
This place has some real nice iced Thai tea and is one of my favorite Thai spots. Lots of options to pick from.
Loved the Thai curry. Khousuey was average. Would go back for the curry.
**Sukho Thai Review - 5 Stars** Sukho Thai is my absolute go-to restaurant! I visit about three times a month, and it never disappoints. Their kow soi is incredible, and the garlic chicken nuggets are a must-try. I ve sampled all their curries, and each one is delicious, with the green curry being my favorite. The pad thai is outstanding, as is their Thai fried rice. Dont miss out on the cashew chicken, which is so flavorful. If I could, I d give Sukho Thai ten stars!
This place is solid! Its consistently good food with great service. We had the Khao soi, Massaman curry and shrimp Pad Thai. The servers all work hard to make sure you have what you need. Shout out to Drees and Shay.
I m a fan of Thai food, and there s always been one restaurant in my mind that I liked the most. After trying this new restaurant, now I have two in mind!
Honestly I really enjoy coming here as the food is always so delicious, but ordering take out is not worth the price as you receive tiny portions for the price compared to other halal Thai restaurants. Other than that the food and service tend to be really good.
Dude .worth your time to go to this place. I got the Pad Kee Mao and my husband got the yellow curry and every bite was heaven.
Visited for lunch during Street festival. The food was incredible. Shared between 4 various dishes. Had leftovers portions large. Mojito lemongrass was so good. Had never visited before but had an amazing food experience. Thankyou
The food was phenomenal Parking is very hard to find so do some reasearch and find Overall halal food everything very good taste and affordable Chashew chicken is must try Mango salad is refreshing
Kun u. Bc. I love you. Um kuuKu kIn Uuu. Huh. Juju. U.K
We absolutely love SukhoTHAI - and this location! Its such a chill vibe & they have ah excellent vegan selection! The quality of food is more than enough. We have been coming here for years & would say it is one of the best places for thai food. We have traveled to Thailand multiple times and feel the food here is pretty authentic!
Cashier it was so rude the guy not the girl. Thank you
Came here with reservations as always. Really disappointed on how slow their service was. My friend was seated while before I was, and I walked in and saw her so I sat myself down. We were a table of two. We waited about 15 minutes before someone even came around and asked us if we were OK and brought us water. We ordered a beverage and then our server disappeared again for another 15 to 20 minutes and I m surprised because the establishment was pretty empty. I think there were only another three tables around us. The food was amazing and that s why I give it a three star rating because the chef really threw it down. Even after we got our main meal, no one came around to see if we wanted anything more. They just brought the bill out at that point we asked if we could have another beverage. They brought the beverage and brought the bill as if they didn t want us there anymore. Food was amazing, ambience, and service not so much.
Mediocre Thai food with rude, slow service. Stay away
From the pad thai to the pad gra prow, the food is memorable and delectable. Its a show stopper and worthy of the high praise bestowed on this culinary jewel in Toronto. Went twice and cannot wait to return. Best Thai food outside of Thailand. Sigh.
Beware of Sukhothai if you have allergies and are looking for a kitchen that take that seriously. I ve been going here for a long time and this is the first time I ve experienced this. But it is a big enough issue that I would never return as a customer. Ordered chicken fried rice, specified that I have a shellfish allergy and got SHRIMP fried rice. I did call the restaurant to let them know and all they said was to get a refund. It doesn t seem like they really cared disappointing experience over all.
we get takeout from here all the time!! the yellow curry is soooooooooo good :)
Excellent food and service. A definite hidden gem!
Really disappointing experience. Food was decent but service was abysmal. We were there for ages with no menu s or water . Shrimp arrived and was not cleaned. Took away our food while we were in the bathroom . Didn t bring us cutlery to eat our food for ages. Impossible to flag down a waiter .Very inattentive service . They tried to auto gratuity at 20%; they did remove it after we complained . Instead of taking the feedback they accused us of having a bad attitude from the start and not giving them enough feedback throughout. Shouldn t need to remind them to give us cutlery.
I am starting to become a regular here. Love their Pad Thai and Khao Soi. The portions are generous and the taste is 9 / 10. I occasionally try Thai at other famous places around Downtown but this one is the best I have found so far.
Food and service excellent as always but the I would not mind if the music was lowered a notch.
This might just be a one off experience. I ve always enjoyed my experience and food profiles at the Wellington location. This location had very poor service, I had to call out for assistance every time. My food was definitely cold and may have been someone else s rejected offer. I ordered Nua Gra Theum. The egg was well done, usually runny. The rice was really toug (dried out) the beef was very cold. I do not think I will give this location another try due to the experience. I could have just gotten unlucky with my order :/
Love their Khao Suey
We order take-out from here 2-3x per month and weve been doing so for many many years. Our faves to order are the green curry, cold rolls (we always get a double order because my daughter loves them so much we can put them in her lunch box the next day), mango salad, pad thai with chicken (no tofu) and rice. Its the best Thai in Toronto, IMO. I should mention that our order has gone missing on 2 separate occasions when we ordered through UberEats. Apparently the driver steals the food? Nothing to do with Sukho Thai, but just thought I would mention it. Not very nice when you wait well over an hour for your dinner only to find that its not coming. So maybe pick it up in person yourself.
Pricey but worth it. Huge portions so you can have some for lunch the next day
Worth going for a evening dine in. Food great!
The chicken Pad Thai was good.
My second time having Thai food and this was amazing! The ambience was super chill, perfect spot for a casual date. My gf and I came without reservations and we were promptly seated at a large shared table (not an issue!). The menu is very nice! We started with fresh spring rolls and tofu nuggets which were amazing. For mains, my gf got a delicious friend rice, and I got the yellow curry (with tofu). The curry was rich, coconutty, and the portion was filling! No regrets on that one. The service was very friendly, and everything was clean! The only sad part was that their tap was broken, so I couldnt try a new (to me) beer. Oh well! We had a great time and will definitely be back again soon! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan friendly options! And most things on the menu can be made vegan quite easily. The menu is great when pointing out which sauces contain fish or oysters.
I felt that the khao SOI was a little sweet. And the same sauce was used for the chicken salad. Very subtle in flavor. Good enough Food
It is just an ok place. Comparing to other Thai spots this one is pretty expensive. Average meal costs $15 but at sukhoThai it s $20 plus taxes and tip a simple pad Thai will costs you $27 Food is ok not worse or better than at other places.
My go to Thai spot. The whole menu is great. The butterfly lemon juice is amazing.
Probably my favourite option for Halal Thai food in Toronto. It tends to be crowded on weekends so be sure to make a reservation. Their spring rolls, Tom Yum, Pad Thai, Pad kee mao, Pad Kra prow and Green Curry are amazing. I frequently get take out from here too and it has never disappointed.
Delicious thai food. We had the purple rain cocktail, the shrimp fresh rolls, the grabong, Pad Gra Prow, and the green curry. All the food was delicious for the price we paid. The grabong was a bit clumpy but tasted really good so that didn t matter. I loved the fresh rolls but wish they came with more peanut sauce because you had to ration to make sure you got some with each bite. The pad gra prow was very flavourful, it was my first time having this dish before and I loved it! The curry was good but I have had more flavourful thai curries. Overall I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant and would definitely come back!
We ordered fish and tom yum soup. Both were pretty good. Servers were friendly and nice.
Amazing food! Halal. The staff is super helpful. Will visit again soon!
Food was OK, enjoyed the curry. Nothing particular would make me go back. A bit expensive for what it is.
Good spot for a quick Thai bite! The service is fast an efficient and we went on an off night so plenty of room was available! The food was well seasoned and the flavours were terribly well balanced! Their drinks setup left a bit desired as my tap drinks came to the table warm.
Very good service. Food is amazing!
Fried rice with beef, fresh beef rolls, the chicken fingers, the tom yum, the everything else on the menu
Please fix operating hours on google !
Yeeeee
The Khao Soi here is the bomb!!! The curry soup is very creamy and rich. You can choose from beef, chicken, tofu or shrimp (extra cost). Very nice service. The atmosphere inside is warm and cozy. My fav spot to go when Im craving Thai food. Delicious!!
This is the restaurant that got me into Thai food. Not PAI, but sukho thai.. One thing is food tends to be on the saltier end, but will go back and ask for low sodium. The panang curry was very rich.
Friendly staff, delicious food and great service. We always enjoy our meals at SukhoThai! . The pad thai & green chicken curry is one of our favourites and dont forget the Thai iced tea.
Messed up our vegetarian order and included chicken in our dishes. Called back to complain - no apology or attempt to make the order right. Manager, Jessica, was not present at the time but the woman on the phone at 4 pm today was hostile, rude and unhelpful. Food was not any good either - the parts that werent messed up. Wouldnt recommended and still awaiting a refund. Vegetarian options: Not sure they realize chickens arent vegetables
Kha soi is probably one of the best meals I ever ate!
We ordered Pad Thai and Pang Curry with need. The Phad Thai was mostly good, a little too sweet. The beef in the curry was extremely chewy and hard. When we told the server, she said I am sorry, we will keep in mind for next time and walked away. The beef sat on the plate for a long time and we didnt eat it. Not the kind of customer service we expect. At least suggest to do something about it like make us a fresh one that we can eat and will still pay for it. Disappointing.
Sukho Thai is arguably one of the best Thai food options we have in the Toronto and GTA. Their prices may be a bit on the higher side but in this economy I think their prices are justified for the taste P.S: The drink in the video was a Lychee cocktail not a Thai Ice Tea.
Thai food is so yummy! Sukho Thai is one of my fav Thai food place to go in GTA! Their Thai milk tea and ice cream are also very impressive! Curry and Tom yum soup are also two dishes I would always go for! Looking forward to go again soon!
I recently dined at this gem of a restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed with both the food and service. SukhoThai offers a wide range of traditional Thai dishes that are bursting with flavor. From savory curries to aromatic stir-fries, each dish is made with fresh ingredients that are expertly combined to create a harmonious symphony of taste. The flavors were well-balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness, spiciness, and tanginess that Thai cuisine is known for. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, with its tasteful Thai-inspired decor and comfortable seating. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant environment for dining.
Amazing food and amazing staff! Service is really quick too
Nice and clean place. Very good customer service and staff are very friendly. All the food items are delicious. Recommended dishes
Food great , service could have been better. Will go back.
Good, consistently tasty. Their Pad Thai is delicious as is their Khao Soy.
Some of the best thai food. I love love love the Khao Soi. Amazing beef chunks and sooo decadent. Highly recommend everything there.
We had Sukhothai Padthai and it was amazing. Also they had a great costumer service, staff were very friendly and helpful
Sukho Thai Dundas is an absolute gem of a Thai restaurant! Their Kao Soi and Pad Thai are simply outstanding. The Kao Soi bursts with authentic flavors, from the rich coconut curry base to the perfectly cooked noodles and tender chicken. Its a bowl of pure comfort and satisfaction. And their Pad Thai is a symphony of flavors, with just the right balance of tangy, sweet, and savory notes. The noodles are cooked to perfection and the generous toppings add a delightful texture. The attention to detail and commitment to quality shine through in every dish. The ambiance at Sukho Thai Dundas is warm and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable dining experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to provide recommendations and ensure a pleasant visit. The service is prompt and efficient, adding to the overall satisfaction. Whether youre a Thai food enthusiast or new to the cuisine, Sukho Thai Dundas is a must-visit. Their dedication to serving authentic Thai flavors and their mastery of dishes like Kao Soi and Pad Thai make them a standout in the culinary scene. Prepare yourself for a delightful journey of flavors and an unforgettable dining experience!
Sukho Thai Dundas shines even during the lively Dundas West Festival! The Kao Soi and Pad Thai remain outstanding. The Kao Sois coconut curry and tender chicken create pure comfort. The Pad Thai balances sweet and savory notes perfectly. Despite the festival rush, the staff provides attentive service. Sukho Thai Dundas is a must-visit during the festival for an authentic taste of Thailand!
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service!
Wilmington street has much better garlic beef, this location overcooks and makes the meat chewy, overcooked and with an after taste. They should work on this.
Chaosooiiiiii
Busy restaurant with good atmosphere , the service was fast and great. Food taste amazing too. We order Penang curry and pad Thai,I love the Pad Thai more
Love this place! Great food and an amazing staff!
Not bad for halal option
Very good very beautiful very wow The best part is the customers Food
The presentation of food was great. A nice table by the window made the whole experience lovely. We had Nua Gra Teaum (garlic beef) and Panang Salmon and Thai Fried Rice w/tofu.
Having been to multiple Thai restaurants, I had one of the best vegan pad thai at Sukho Thai. The fresh rolls were delicious with the sauce and the curries are really good. The drinks are pretty good as well. Definitely recommend
The food was amazing and came very quickly! Our server was very helpful and the atmosphere was also very good I recommend to come here with the whole family.
I just love this place!
The lemongrass fish was really good!
All dishes are delicious specially sea food items.
Super dependable and delicious. Entrees here are reasonably priced and good sized portions. The pad Thai and cashew nut chicken are our go to and they always taste fresh and delicious. Very low key spot, with nice service. Will always come back.
I have been eating at Sukothai for years. The food is always fresh and consistent with all their locations. Yesterday was exceptional since my server Chay was courteous and was always there when I needed him. One of the few restaurants I keep going back to
Wonderful experience every time, the servers are super friendly, Shahid is always a delight to be greeted by and the food is always a delight! Vegetarian options: Tofu and vegetables options! Dietary restrictions: Halal Vegan Options Vegetarian
Don t come for the Curries unless you prefer overly thick and sweet sauce. They all taste the same whether you getting red curry green or Khao Soi- not enough fresh herbs and a lot of sugar. I ordered green curry beef and you can tell the beef is not very fresh or good quality. I left most of my meal. Calamari was good. Tamarind whiskey sour was good (less sweet) once the ice watered it down a bit. Service was mediocre. The female server was hostile and the guy who was in charge of our table was nice enough but didn t have follow through and when our meal took over 45min to arrive for our table of 8 he didn t say anything to us about the wait or follow up to see if anyone needed things (I got up 4 times to make requests for the table). The last time I came the quality was similar. For the prices charged you can definitely get better service and food elsewhere.
Good food and service.
My partner and I have enjoyed sukoThai s Dundas locations consistently delicious food for quite a few years. Everything we have ever ordered there has been cooked and spiced to perfection. The service is down to earth and informative. The atmosphere is fun and informal. We always have their Mango Salad and Spring Rolls to start and on occasion a soup. My favourite is Tom Yum Kung. Although we love many of the main dishes offered, our favourite has become Gaeng Masaman which, like many of the others, a variety of meats and seafoods that can be added to. We usually go for chicken or shrimp which works great with its peanut and tamarind based sauce. I highly recommend trying it sometime.
Great beer and Thai food with reasonable prices
The best Pad Thai in Toronto. The food is amazing!
Sukho Thai on Dundas was a random choice over the weekend, but it turned out well. The prices are very affordable, especially cocktails and beer prices, and the food portions were big, the staff were very friendly (however we did have to wave them over a few times). We all had Pad Thai with rice noodles and tofu and it was pretty tasty -- it wasnt the best Id ever had, but it was way above many other pad thai dishes Ive had over the years, so if you are looking to fill-up and not spend a lot of money, then I would recommend this place. And definitely the bar prices are a big draw for a restaurant in this area.
Unbelievable experience and high quality Thai food. Never knew the depth of flavor Thai food had to offer. Cant wait to experience again
**EDIT* Seems they listened and sorted out their consistency issue. Have continued to order the same dish and its been stellar every time. Changing my review to 5 stars. I do love Sukho Thai!** When it s good, it s GREAT . however they do suffer from consistency issues. Been ordering the Cashew Chicken quite regularly for years, and 1 out of every 3-4 times it s bland and flavorless. Within my first few bites this past weekend I knew I d received the less than stellar version of this dish. I ve held off writing this review many times convincing myself it s a one-off, only to have it happen again. Giving them 3 stars as I never know what I m getting. It d be a full 5 if I always received the same fantastic dish every time.
ROSE: The food is great and affordable, vegetarian options are plenty, the neighborhood is great, the playlist is dope but not Thai THORN: Too many seats, crowded and noisy, not wheelchair accessible at all BUD: modern/pop/hiphop Thai music would be great Wheelchair accessibility: The washrooms are downstairs and there s no accessibility ramp at the front door
delicious food, authentic Thai, good service, for sure will come back and recommend for friends
The food at all of their locations is absolutely phenomenal. However, this location canceled my order with no reason 40 mins before their location closed. I checked Uber eats expecting to see a reason and it was just plain canceled. I then searched the restaurant up again and they were coming up as closed. I will go out of my way to order from their other locations going forward.
Terrible trash place. I went inside to get a table for 2. They said sure. I said Im going to park and be right in. Literally took me 30 seconds. As soon as I got inside the rude white manager Jessica said theres no space for me and its given away and its not her concern and referred to me and my party as secondary since I am a minority. Trash place with worse customer service. Id give it minus 5 stars if I could. Avoid at all costs. Rude people
Dont eat here. Many better Thai options in Toronto. Potential health hazard. Overpriced, terrible food. My $18 dine-in lunch, called Nia Grab Treaum was one of the lower priced options. Described as a dish of rice, served with a sunnyside egg and slices of marinated beef with sliced cucumber on the side. The rice was rock hard, stale, and cold. As though it had been sitting out of the steamer an hour before serving. Couldnt cut a grain with my fingernail. Forget even trying to be fresh, what I was served violated provincial health codes. The thinly sliced beef was overcooked, oversalted, unchewable, and plain disgusting. Proper Thai cooking requires fresh ingredients, but they didnt even bother to throw my atrocious lunch in the microwave so it would at least be warm. The 4 tiny slices of cucumber were soft and sour, they didnt even bother seasoning to cover up the fact theyd gone bad. The egg was burnt around the edges and tasted like it was cooked in re-used oil on a dirty pan. Recommendations: Fire the chef, who cant event seem to cook an egg. Focus on fresh ingredients and infuse with fresh herbs to elevate flavour. Lower the prices, until you deserve them. Implement real Thai cooking with a focus on fresh ingredients and dishes properly cooked to order. I remember this place being better years ago, but hadnt returned since even then the prices were over-inflated to the point of being an obvious scam. They are milking peoples money for insultingly bad food. Even though its right next door I will never return. SukhoThai is in a convenient spot with a lot of wealthy and naive consumers who dont flinch at the cost, ignorant that the restaurant has no pride or passion in what they provide. This is a disservice to our community. We need good, affordable food. Id like to mention the service and front of house staff were, kind, understanding, and extremely professional.
Ordered spring rolls, veggie fresh rolls, masaman curry, and chicken fried rice as take out. Meal was incredible, highly recommend everything we got! Nicely packed and both the curry and fried rice make excellent leftovers.
Great portions, quality, variety, ambience, and service! Probably the best spring rolls I ve ever had, along with delicious pad Thai.
Food is good. Had a great time with colleagues!!
Has probably been surpassed but still my go to Thai option in the city. Reasonably priced and great quality.
Sukho Thai has been my favourite thai restaurant for the past few years. I don t visit as frequently as I wish I could since they re pretty far from where I live. It takes about 1.5 hours for me to drive there and back home. So when I do visit, I order a bunch of food for the next few days. This was the first time visiting their Dundas location. I ordered my usuals: lemongrass beef lettuce cups, beef pad thai, beef khao soi, tom yum soup, and thai iced tea. Flavours were on point for the meals, as expected. However I was unfortunately very disappointed because they forgot to include the noodles for the khao soi, meaning I got half the portion it usually is. The restaurant offered me credit on my next meal but like I said, I live far and don t know the next time I ll be heading that way. Also, I d end up paying the cost of that khao soi in gas, so it wouldn t really end up being a credit for me I was disappointed by their iced tea as well. They have incorporated a bottled version for takeout which appears a lot less than what you get when you dine in. The flavour was also pretty underwhelming compared to the iced teas I ve bought from them in the past it was barely sweet. Make sure you check to see that every item you ordered has been included in the bag before leaving the store
Very overpriced for what you get, both in quality and quantity. I dont understand how this place has so many 5-star reviews when its very mediocre. I ordered Khao Soi and it tasted like peanut soup, not curry. And you dont even get all the extras you get from Pai Northern Thai (although that place is overpriced too). The portions was very small, barely for an adult men to be full. At other Thai places, you get full and there is still food left over. There are much better deals on Thai food in Toronto, but this place seems to have made a name for itself, so people keep coming.
This has to be one of, if not, the best Thai restaurants in Toronto. This is my go to Thai spot. Always consistent and never disappoints. Try the chef nuit pad thai, beef khao soi, garlic chicken nuggets, garlic shrimp, and spring roles
Best Thai food in Toronto! Always order takeout here so I already knew the food was delicious. Dined in for the first time tonight and what an experience! Great atmosphere and the most courteous, friendly and attentive staff. Was very busy with every table full and lineups for take out orders but food was delivered quickly. Started with crispy spring rolls served with sweet Thai chili sauce, absolutely devine. Bean sprout soup, delicious! Vegetables stir fry with shrimp, the broth for this dish is my favourite! Tried the lemon grass, basa fillet for the first time and it was phenomenal! Cooked to perfection! Best fish Ive ever tasted! Cant wait to come back again and again.
The food never disappoints here. The service is outstanding, especially Sam. She is always welcoming and friendly. She added so much to the great experience my friends and I had here tonight.
After my training, my friends and I spontaneously popped by here without reservations around 5pm on a Saturday. We immediately got a table and placed our orders. I had the vegan pad thai, which was very satisfying and fulfilling half way through so I had it packed. I always found it tough to finish Thai food because it is very filling and too much carbs to intake. My friends all enjoyed their food as well and took their half home for later to enjoy. The restaurant is warm and energetic. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return again.
sukhoThai provides the best food!
I d heard a lot about Sukho Thai so I ve been meaning to try it for a while and I m happy to communicate that it didn t disappoint. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, really nice and comfortable ambience as well. Prices are what you d expect to pay for dinner. I tried their Panang Curry and it was delicious. We also ordered the Khao Soi, good, but we liked the curry more. They have Thai beer on tap, worth ordering. Would definitely come back. We went for dinner during the week and it wasn t crowded :)
Best halal food I ve had in Toronto!!
Hands down best Thai in Toronto - highly recommend the green curry and khoi soi :)
ONE OF THE BEST THAI RESTAURANTS IVE BEEN TO!!!!! Sukho thai never disappoints. Once walked 30m in negative double digit weather to come here. The vibes are SICK and the plates youll wanna LICK. Would recommend the garlic tofu nuggets, pad gra prow (spicy ground beef with red peppers and a fried egg on rice) and cashew chicken. If you are looking for a delicious Thai dinner, with a great atmosphere, come to the Dundas location. Hot tip: ask for extra pineapple candies from your waiter- trust me, youll want to devour as many as you can get ;)
Order placed on uber eat. The paid Thai was very good, too bad it lacked more vegetables with the green curry dish, usually there is also broccoli. There were only a few peppers there. The rolls were good and seemed to be homemade.
Awesome food! I think it is one of the best restaurants for Thai. Even better than what people think is the best in that area.
Awesome, awesome food! Have eaten here a couple of times, and everything is incredibly flavourful, including drinks. Definitely recommend for some soul-warming food.
Go to neighbourhood thai restaurant. Gordon is awesome!
My review is really more a 4.5 and can be 5 at times as the food is delicious when eaten immediately! Overall one of my top pics for delicious Thai food. We enjoy the pad thai and Khao Soi here.
Poor customer service, rude employee and overpriced menu,it is unworthy to eat in this restaurant because the taste, texture of the food they serve always varies whenever i visit here. It is not the same taste like in the past.
Always a pleasure, food and service
Pad Thai awesome Green curry spicy and nicey Red curry tasty Thai rice top notch Excellent service Fun atmosphere and chic vibes Will continue to come here again and again
The food was really excellent and taste was superb... The service was very prompt...
Went there in a busy afternoon when the street festival started. They have DJ on the sidewalk and nice patio. I ordered their garlic shrimp and cashew chicken. The garlic shrimp was nice and crispy and I love the sauce. But the cashew chicken was a little too dry. Overall, it was still a great experience, will go back again.
Superb Thai food, tasty and good service
we ordered from here and they clearly messed up our order because we order a mild shrimp pad Thai and they gave us such a spicy dish that we could not eat it. It s usually a very nice place but they are not very careful.
I always order the khao soi and it never disappoints! Generous portion, I usually have leftovers for lunch :) love this spot!
Service and food are equally terrific!
Unreal Thai food, the only place I can trust to adhere to my food allergies (soy and corn) and they make amazing vegan food! Try their spring rolls
The ambiance is just ok, could have been better in terms of cleanness. The food is good but few popular Thai dishes are not in the menu. Their Tom Yum soup is excellent. Service is ok, but they charge 18% service charge for 5 person and above which is not worth of service. Even they count head of 10 year old child for service charge. Overall rating is 6.5 out of 10.
Great food!! Pricey, but really good quality. The drawback was mainly some of the staff.
Very tasty pad Thai, pad Kee mao, shrimp chips, green curry. Pretty much every thing Ive had from here was very good
Not sure what the hype is all about First attempt Ordered pad Thai and unfortunately there was no sweet or savoury flavour at all! Just spicy, which is quite strange for a pad thai. Also they do not have any sticky rice . There are LOTS of better thai options Try Lao-thai restaurant on queen and Gladstone for something legit
One of the best Thai restos in Toronto. Massaman curry with fish. Yum!!
Amazing authetic Thai food. They have really nice menu options and you must try their Thai iced tea because it s super refeshing and tasty
Hits the spot, definitely one of the best Thai places Ive been to.
This restaurant is the first restaurant I had when I came to Toronto seven years ago. Their food flavour is always good but the environment is dirtier than before. Their floor and table is sticky and always has flys. The washroom is in basement and it s very dark. I need to turn on the flashlight from my phone.
Nice Thai restaurant. Went for a dinner last night. The place was busy though were lucky to get a table without reservation. Ordered satay, Tom yum soup, green curry and veg fried rice. All the items were very tasty.
Best pad Thai !
I ve been in SukhoTHAI for many times and the food is always amazing I ve tried almost all dishes and they are all good. It s one of the great Halal restaurants in Toronto.
Their red curry is to die for, with any meat or tofu ! A must try Can t say the same about yellow curry.
Went there for the Asianlicious event where you can order off a special menu (limited items) for a good price. So we got chicken pad Thai, spring rolls and mango salad for $30. We added a fish panang. 4 stars for the fish panang. Basa fish the sauce itself was quite lovely and I d want to just get that with some jasmine rice! The spring rolls lacked crunch. Oil too hot so they cooked crispy on the outer layer but not the inner layers. Taste was fine though. Mango salad was good. The pad Thai was missing something. It was a true tamarind based one. The portion size was good too. So I took it home and added more sauce (made one cause I have tamarind at home) and it tasted way better. So conclusion: not enough sauce to give it flavour. Yes it should be fairly dry but it was lacking in flavour. Would I go back? My friend said she would come back for the fish pangang. I would if someone wanted Thai but it wasn t my favourite. Our server was amazing and service was excellent.
Their fried rice is awesome
I m only putting this review cause I was told that I have to pay 15% Gratuities if my PICK order if it s above $200 and they it s a store policy. I even ask to repetitive over the phone to confirm that if regardless I m coming from far and they said yes. That s a $30 on $200 which is like little above quarter tank of gas. This is just another scam so please be aware guys. I hope they have a legal rights to do this. The funny things is this location (Dundas) and Wellington was my favorite place and I have tip them. But this is something I m sure not me or anyone else who are in their sense will not agree to it.
regular go-to for our family, have to say its no longer as consistent as it used to be (owners cant be as hands-on as before i guess) but still more authentic that what youll get elsewhere
Supper cute place! Love the vibe! I only tried mango sticky rice, it is pretty tasty!! Will try more dishes later btw, staff is friendly as well!
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free choices
Bean sprout soup. Very healthy lots of onions, cilantro and spice. Other item is garlic butter breaded chicken. The service for take out here is excellent. Ive never had a bad experience at this location. Starts with a pleasant voice over the phone to take your order...never rude! Food is Amazing! When spending hard money these days , you do not mind paying extra for good food like this restaurant brings us. Just want to thank the great staff and great cook! I wont go any where else for thai food.
Very good food and a nice vibe
I love this place
Great food. My family cannot get enough of the great Thai food from this restaurant. We have never eaten in so no comment there. However, make sure to double check your takeout order every time. Theyve missed items on my order 3 times now. All good in the end due to good customer service.
Intimate, casual atmosphere; great food although the pho-style soup I ordered was bland without the onions (I cant eat them raw). Dietary restrictions: Staff were very helpful in answering my questions about gluten and dairy.
Khao soi was delicious
We ordered for takeout but changed our plans.when asked if we can change the order for sit down instead, the response was super rude and unaccommodating. We had to reorder the same thing for dine in just so we can be allowed to sit and eat and had to take the first order home. The restaurant was mainly empty so the logic did not make sense. Overall dissatisfied with the service.
Our favourite of the sukhoTHAI spots, this one is the roomiest and has the best food we find! The spices are delicious and the tastes are delicate, it has become a family favourite! There is something for everyone here, and the Thai Iced Tea is a must have!
Love the food! I ordered khao sui, cashew chicken n pad Thai
I use to love Shuko Thai and it was my go to for Thai food. I usually get tumyum soup and beef pad Thai. Lately the beef pad thai has been terrible. The beef has been very dry and rubbery and the noodles very dry and bland. Tomyum soup is still on point. Think Im giving up shuko Thai....
Absolutely delicious Thai in the City
