Nov 2024 Located at the lower ground food court this counter serves staple trendy Asian dishes more for the Western palette. As I ordered some Pho was a bit puzzled why there was an option for customization of orders particularly more soup and less noodles. Servings was pretty huge but it was just bec the noodle to soup ratio was pretty close to equal. Noodles were also too soft and broke easily. Beef was decent though. Their digital ordering pad was easy to use as well. Not particularly satistifed but one can't expect too much when in the Americas for authentic Asian food.
Got one meat one veg combo. The veg curry was very bad and it had a bunch of weird fibres (like short grass) sticking on all the vegetables… not sure if they were properly washed at all….
I rarely ever post a bad review about any businesses just because I know it affect people’s earnings and livelihood but the food that you would from this specific location is bad… I have been here 3 times now and every single time I am disappointed. Today I ordered tom yum soup with noodles and when I opened the box I almost cried… paid $16 for basically a box of overcooked noodles and barely any toppings, there was barely any soup either… the food was tasteless, you dont get what you paid for and you can tell that the kitchen barely cares. Really sad tbh.
Horrible staff, started shouting at me when I was clearly saying what I wanted to get. Asked for shrimp and fish, instead of shrimp she put in chicken (non-halal), couldn’t even understand plain English. Why the hell are you shouting at me when I’m paying for the food, I ain’t taking this stuff for free. Don’t recommend at all.
Came here after I visited the Hockey Hall of Fame and although the food was decent, the service was a miss. I was here on business so I need my receipts so I can be reimbursed and after I paid the cashier took the receipt and crumbled it up in her hands. When I asked for it she un-crumpled it and handed it to me, but it had grease stains all over it and you couldn’t see the price anymore. I asked if she could reprint one and she told me no. The food was pretty good though.
The server did not know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. I asked for a vegan meal, later when I enquired if the fried rice she served me had eggs, she said yes. I got the vegan option - tofu dish but I found some pieces of meat in my food. So I guess cross contamination is a common problem here. Avoid this restaurant please
I asked the woman about food that you apparently had to line up at the other section for and she got frustrated said I had to go there and walked off before I was able to say anything else.Another woman came and I asked for food from this side as I didn’t really care what I ordered. I got the Pad Thai as it’s a signature Thai dish… Jesus Mary Joseph, this was the most basic worst.. far from Pad Thai I’ve ever had across 20 countries. Had to have been the cheapest rubbery noddles you could find in the country drowned in vegetable oil and fish sauce and then the chicken placed on top….AND THAT IT… with a wedge of lime
I've been here a number of times and usually go for their beef pho. It's pretty good for the price, portion, and wait time. Just recently, I tried their grilled pork mung vermicelli salad which I must say had really good noodles. The spring rolls were flavourful and I enjoyed it overall, but the meat was a little bit too salty for my liking.
I bought food here and I found broken glass in the food and almost swallow. Call the comoany and they threat me. Called the inspection food company and they had very several issues in the past.
Food was good and portions were generous. Not too expensive as well
Absolutely delicious food. Period. Wheelchair accessibility: The food court is wheelchair accessible Food : 5/5 |
Descent food and service, not much quality and quality for the price. Mostly crowded and long line ups during lunch time.
Tried two signature dishes- (Pork rice and lemongrass chicken with rice)so far and my work lunch experience was brought to the next level. Very fresh and tasty, good portion at reasonable prices.
Noodle dishes made to order, can be a bit of a wait during peak lunch time but worth it. Great tasting pad Thai, big portion. Their chicken fresh spring rolls are delicious too.
lemongrass chicken is amazing
I ordered 5 things on the menu. Imagine that. And the RICE (the plain fried rice) was the beat thing. Thats all Id say.
Loved the food here. The taste was awesome.
The food is good! No complaints. Good for lunch breaks at work.
Delicious and very hearty food Good value for money
Wonderful takeaway restaurant during office hours. Their fried rice with gold curry chicken and peanut curry chicken are sold out generally in a jiffy
Went after a very long time. The food was fresh and tasty, but the quantity has been reduced. Had the green curry chicken with steam rice, it had the same consistency as before and spicy
I never leave negative reviews but this is literally the worst Thai food I have ever had in my life. Absolutely zero flavour. A major waste of money. Complete garbage. Do not go here if you enjoy food.
You can find traditional Thai food here
Very hot and fresh, but typical mall food. Way too salty and too much sweet sauce. Ok
To be frank Iike this place the most among Asian eateries in the PATH. Their mung salad with bbq chicken reminds me of Viet s Bun Thit Nuong while their Khao Soi is super creamy and tasty. Good portion size as well. A decent place for lunch at workplace. Would recommend!
Regular food court Thai food except the MUNG SALAD!!! The bbq chicken salad with spring roll is absolutely delicious.
If you are looking for Thai food, there are enough options in this city to NOT GO to Thai Island. I stopped there for lunch as I hadnt had Thai for a while and ordered the Pad Thai. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. This pad thai was worse than the stuff thats loaded with ketchup and passed off as pad thai. It was fairly flavourless except for giant pieces of what I can only guess was anise. It tasted like eating from grandmas candy dish. I tried to make the best of it, but the piece of chicken that tasted like seafood put me off from finishing it. I did give them two stars though, because their spring rolls were ok. Not the best, but tasty and crispy. Overall I would not recommend this place. If youre in the area there are tons of other restaurants in the same food court. Id say avoid T.I.
Great food portions, and not bad price
Ever since the renovation it seems things have changed. I dont come here at all now - the food has gone downhill and the fresh area is a mess. Changed for the worst.
Found a fruit fly in my pad Thai box. Good luck eating here.
I had the yellow curry noodle bowl. Deeelicious!
Delicious Khao Soi soup!! Last of flavors and so delicious!!! Love the coconut flavor and the spice to it !
The pad thai is wayyyy too sweet/sour/salty. The whole thing tastes like one big sweet and sour pork
Counter clerks were nice! It was the tasteless pad Thai I ever had in my whole life!! Completely bland! And pricey too! At least it was made to order! Am I hungry? No! I am satisfied? Also no!
Excellent customer service and choices
Rubbish staff send them back to where they came from, fake smile and only objective is to sell quickly without listening to what a customer wants.
The servers are rude and very disrespectful. I initially ask for Rice and Noodles but then they said its additional so I said no that is okay.. The girl preparing the food started speaking in chinese and both looking at me while they talk to each other in chinese. and on top of that when I got back and started eating the food.. the rice is about to go bad. You can tell its OLD! NOT AGAIN !
Overall, food is good and service is just ok, if you are spicy lover, I recommend Tom Yum chicken soup, its my favorite.
I just love their spicy broth chicken soup. Ive had many times and every time it is same taste and a quality. I recommend this place.
Delicious Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese food.
Service is ok, food is usually ready pretty quick. Highly recommend the Khao Soi here, absolutely delicious.
The Thai island in the TD towers is way better, pls go there. Giving this place a star because the service is terrible. I ordered pad thai and when I was handed my food I asked for some asian fish sauce, (they have it in small containers ready to go), the lady said that sauce isnt for this meal its for rice and actually fought with me about the sauce. She didnt give me any until I gave her attitude and was rude back to her. I even offered to pay for it. Telling someone they cant have a condiment/sauce because it doesnt go with that meal is a big no-no. Never going back.
Chili chicken was at the right amount of spice level. 9/10 for the food
The chicken was lean and tender. The fried rice had small bits of pineapple which was the perfect contrast with the spicy basil chicken. Pad sui and chilli chicken from Thai island in Brookfield Place. Pad sui was too spicy and not enough soya sauce. I have this on a regular basis and I could tell the person who usually makes it, didn t make it.
Chicken very rubbery. Fire your chef.
The General Thai chicken is almost always excellent. I have it often on steamed rice. ($10.75 with a bottle of Dada I water) The veggie spring rolls are good too. Generally fast service even at peak times. Open for an hour or two after 5pm weekdays and sell - off specials are common then.
Simple but tasty Thai food. Good value too. Staff are excellent and very patient in explaining the choices! Highly recommend.
Great Thai food; theres always a line up.
Allow line jumpers, should be first come first serve.
