Everything here is amazing! Food comes out hot and is so flavourful. They have food for meat and vegetarians alike with options for everyone from sizzling momo plates to noodle soups.
Absolutely delicious food, heartwarming stomach filling experience! Their Thupkas and Sizzlers are highly recommended. We tried their Chicken Mok Thuk - the steamed Momo's were great but the soup was the main highlight. Highly recommended in Canada's cold winters. Next best was their Chili Chicken Momo sizzler. The crispy noodles added to the deliciousness of the chilli gravy. We tried their Chicken steamed Momo's with sauce, delicious as well but very similar to the steamed Momo's in Thupkas. So would try maybe deep fried next time. Wai Wai Laphing was tasty and spicy! Very authentic.
One of the best places for Tibetan foods. The Thukpa & momo were unbelievably delicious. It is a must go place for all the momo lovers
Simply great. Got their butter chicken momos, I was skeptical at first but it was a really good combo. The gravy was fresh made, it didn’t taste creamy and heavy at all. The steamed momo was good. Also got the fried chicken chili momo. That was good too.
I visited this popular Tibetan restaurant on a Saturday night. They only accept walk-ins, no reservations. We had to wait for 1 hour so be aware of the long wait times. We ordered: 1. Yellow Laphing Dry with WaiWai: 5/5 => Very unique and tasty dish. Crunch of WaiWai was also nice. 2. Veg Chowmein: 5/5 => Hands down. One of the best Chowmein ever. Select mild spicy level. Their medium spicy level is too much. 3. Veg Sizzler with Szechuan sauce: 3/5 => Too oily. The Momos were bland in itself. With noodles, it was good. 4. Chilli Garlic Fries: 5/5 => Very good. Large portions too. 5. Steamed Veg Momos with Manchurian sauce: 4/5 => Very good. 6. Family size platter: 4/5 => Good. Got half steamed and got pan fried. They were quite hot from inside. Pan fried were tastier. All the items were so tasty. Except the sizzler, I totally loved all the items. I didn’t get any 5% discount to write this review. We asked them for mild spicy level which we found perfect for our tastebuds. Staff is nice and humble. The service could be faster. They accept credit card as well. I would recommend this Tibetan restaurant to everyone.
Awesome restaurant with delicious Tibetan specialties! Very much enjoyed the flavour and spice of the food and another great option in Parkdale. Got chili chicken and a beef dish as well as their sizzling momo and noodle special. Will be back for sure!
Really enjoyed out lunch here. Relaxed environment with friendly staff. The sizzling dumplings were the stand out both in flavour and in presentation. The table hot sauce is pretty hot so keep that in mind when applying. Will absolutely come back.
The food is so good! I loved the garlic fries, Manchurian and noodles. I ordered the vegetarian ones, the service was quick and they didn’t rush us at all even though we came close to when they were closing. I will definitely be back!!
Tons of vegetarian options. Sooo good.
Great good! Authentic Tibetan with no fusion addons. Try their specialty food, our recommendations is the soup dumpling. We like spicy and their extra spicy was very mild for us (not their fault, were just craycray) lol. Service takes a while but worth it so be patient. While you wait, try theor appetizers, wont be disappointed. The interior was okay, with few photos of Tibet landscape. Overall, its perfect place to eat especially winter time!
Love it here
The Food totally Reeked of Awesomeness. Outstanding Cuisine with an abundance of raw talent and deliciouness
So delicious. A gem. Vegetarian options: I only eat veg options here. They are plentiful and delicious. Love the broccoli dish, soups, momos such good comfort food Food : 5/5 |
Delicious. Vegan Momo, garlic fries, and noodles. Unreal.
Reactivated my account just to change my 5 star review after I had temporarily deactivated it for some peace of mind. I used my gaming account to post another review for the dissatisfaction after the owner denied the happy hour offer, saying it is no longer valid. I am the guy who reads terms and conditions. So I know the consumer law as well. He had ads up on the website and on google Maps about the happy hour deals. If u go anywhere from Best Buy to Walmart and even any well-known restaurant/chain. If the offer is changed or taken down but the ad is still there and they forgot to take the ad down, they will honor it still, or else it becomes false advertising. So, I posted the review only stating about that particular thing/issue which was true. The owner accused me of using fake accounts and trying to defame him on google review and on other platforms such as instagram so here I am posting from this . Instead of apologizing or explaining the situation he actually threatened me , maybe he didn t know or solve the matter in a professional way . To be Noted that I have posted more reviews from my gaming account than this account both are real as it gets and I have never posted good or bad review twice coz it would not be genuine of me as a reviewer as I believe in Integrity(u can check my contributions for proof)Just cause You are talking to me does not mean I have to give u good review. Or else i have to give a good review to every restaurant owner I talk to. I give review based on the restaurant food and atmosphere and ambiance and their integrity to their customers.Btw me being unwelcome over there is laughable.most food over there is mid at best and below.Only chilli chicken was good, but it is easy to get over it . Besides, other restaurants also provide its equivalent. Dude, asked for honest review. i had chili chicken, momo and mohito, and beef dish. I loved chili chicken and beef was okay. These 2 dishes are the only dish worth over there, to be honest, and the drink was good. I told him how good all of it was, except momo(mid at best), which he keeps trying to defend and blames my taste bud lmfao. That already was a signal that this guy cannot take the slightest criticism well. He sweet talks, everyone, and that is the reason u see all these reviews . U won t see repeat customers over there . Mostly new oncoming Indian customers, btw if I really wanted to tarnish and give fake reviews. I would just put an Indian name on the google review account and comment about the food instead of giving the obvious review about the happy hour deal which he will remember it was me and wouldn t show that I had other accounts on my phone as well, while we had a chat when he asked for a review when the restro was newly open.I am a very detailed person, and u accused the wrong person, buddy. Learn to own up to your mistakes instead of falsely accusing people. Good day to you. This is the first time I have reviewed it twice cause. Well, he did accuse me of defaming him in other platforms. This is his karma.U wanna accuse me of doing things I didnt do, then here it is.2 reviews for u , buddy. Let me do the things u accuse me of . Keep making false allegations, and i will do those, too. Maybe I should make accounts dedicated to showing your dishonesty as well. Just kidding,I dont wanna waste any more time on some self-absorbed narcissist. If food is bad .restro will go down anyways, and if food is good, it will stay running . Doesnt matter who writes fake bad reviews or good reviews . The general public is not stupid. The fact that you couldnt defend yourself with a valid argument and only attack my character says a lot. U didnt even talk about the topic, which got u the bad review in the first place . Even u know u are in the wrong. Thats all though . Never stepping foot and recommending anyone there. My biggest mistake . Even before food was sub par beside those 2 dishes yet I recommend people out of kindness to your business Telling people to try those 2 dishes only, not anymore now i learn from my mistakes. Dude is mental.
Super delicious food - just wish the portion of hot and sour soup was bigger.
Very cozy comfy ambience and food is soo good. Specially in this toronto winter. Love the food. Will come back again
Disappointing Dining Experience I had high hopes when I ordered from this place, but it was a disaster from start to finish. First of all, the food had absolutely no flavor none. It was as if someone took some food coloring, threw it onto the plate, and said, Here you go! It was so bland, I honestly wondered if theyd forgotten to add any spices or seasoning at all. To make matters worse, the kitchen was *incredibly* slow. I waited over an hour for my order, and when it finally arrived, it wasn t even worth the wait. It s not like they were making something complicated; it shouldnt take that long to serve tasteless food. The only thing this place seems to be good at is wasting time and disappointing customers. Never ordering from here again. To be very honest one time I visited this place and I ordered a laughing and they told us that they are out of it but then somebody else came in and they dine -in and they ordered something and they were served with 2 laughing plates. It was tbh very weird and sad to see.
Very bad service. They make you wait so much for the food. No taste at all.
Flavourful thukpa and juicy momos! We lol be back for sure
fresh and delicious! excellent chili oil, and a couple sparse gluten free options.
Nice Tibetan food. Flavorful and spicy.
Amazing authentic Tibetan food. Perfect Thupka, Laphing and butter tea.
Best momos, varied menu.
I recently visited Shambhala Kitchen for takeout, and it was my first time there. It s a small, cozy restaurant, and the place was packed. Cashier helped me with my order and recommended the Pemakoe Putang with beef. This dish had thick noodles in a rich, flavorful gravy that reminded me of Manchurian sauce. It had a bit of spice, which was perfect for the cold weather. I also tried the steamed pork momos the meat was juicy, and the spice level was just right, not overpowering the natural flavor of the meat. I ll definitely be coming back to try more of their dishes!
This is such a nice little restaurant. It has a cozy atmosphere, the service was friendly, and the food was excellent. The momos stand out from other restaurants in the area. The food wasnt very spicy, but we did not order the hottest heat. We had paneer momos, butter chicken momos, veg gya-thuk noodles and veggie manchurian, all excellent with really flavourful gravy. There is also only one table that is able to accommodate a group of six if youre dining with a large group. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian option, paneer momos are great Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible
Brilliant
Amazing experience with shambhala food stall in diwali festival toronto , also got a free water bottle. Staff was very friendly and helpful
My favourite spot for momos.
Tried their pan fried chicken momos, deep fried beef momos, garlic fries , wai wai laphing. Loved it. Very sweet staff and it s budget friendly too. This place is a hidden gem. Would highly recommend and would visit more!!!
So good! The soup was so tasty and the pan fried momos were all good. They recommended we try all the options and we did and it did not disappoint. Our favorites were the beef, vegetable, and paneer but really you can t go wrong with any of the options. We had the beef with short noodle soup and the flavors were so good. I don t think there is a bad item on the menu. Highly recommend.
We had steamed momo and lowa khatsa with shared entrees. Delicious!
Loved Loved the food. Quick service, nice staff. Wouldnt say more and would just recommend to visit here if you like Tibetan food Food
Cheap & tasty food
yummy food ! Ordered steamed momos platter, laphing and noodles. Laphing was highlight of the day Momos was nice but nothing special.
Authentic taste and great food. The Momos were the best. Chowmein and other items are pretty decent.
I really really love laphing , the dry one and gravy one both
Got the sizzling pork momo with noodle and a chili noodle dish. Both were good but order took a long time on a Monday at 1pm when we were one of the only 2 tables here. I liked how the chow mein noodles became crispy with the sizzling plate but the momos themselves were just okay. Pork not that flavorful and the dough was really thick and couldnt soak much sauce. The noodle dish was very saucy and spicy, had nice wood ear mushrooms, but lacking in flavour surprisingly like another reviewer mentioned. Couldve been a more complex flavour with a bit of acidity or sweetness. The restaurant was empty but the server didnt seem very interested in explaining the dishes to us. I wasnt wowed considering the high rating and probably wouldnt come back
In 2022, My first visit to Shamhala Kitchen, accompanied by a friend, yielded a remarkable dining experience that warrants sharing. The pristine environment and emphasis on hygiene make it suitable for family dining. Soft traditional music complements the peaceful ambiance, inducing relaxation. The service was outstanding, marked by friendly, polite staff. The noodle and chilly potato dishes I ordered were flavorful, with the latter being an exemplary vegetarian starter and the former ideal for cold weather. This restaurant comes highly recommended. On my subsequent third visit, last evening, November 12, 2024, I opted for pork chili and Aloo Phensha, which were generously portioned and delectable. The customer service was swift and excellent. Notably, the restaurant has demonstrated improvement since my initial visit, particularly in its décor, which now effectively embodies the essence of an authentic Tibetan establishment, providing a rich cultural experience. Recent photographs have been added to this review. Shamhala Kitchen is strongly recommended for those seeking genuine Tibetan cuisine in a tranquil setting.
We tried the momos and garlic fries, and they were absolutely amazing! The momos were perfectly cooked, with a delicious filling, and the garlic fries were crispy and full of flavor.
Best momo , chowmein , laphing in GTA. Love the services as well
This was legitimately some of the very best food Ive ever had. Staff was very kind and polite, and I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant.
Wonderful authentic taste
Best Hakka Chinese in town!! One of my go to spots!! Laphing is a must try
Shambhala Kitchen (Tibetan & Himalayan Cuisine), Toronto Shambhala Kitchen offers a cozy and authentic dining experience with its vibrant Tibetan and Himalayan flavors. The momos (dumplings) are a must-try, with perfectly seasoned fillings and delicate dough. Their unique spices and fresh ingredients stand out, making each dish flavorful and satisfying. I tried vegetarian noodles and momos. Noddles were thin which was great but a little oily. The momos were delicious but lacked little seasoning, will try again to checkout other items on menu and momos aswell. Recommend this place.
Never had this tasty Tibetan food ever in my life, so much flavour and such friendly service. Will visit again.
This joints got the goods - foods on point and service is top notch, now lm hooked on finding out if their best chowmein in Toronto claim is legit, guess Ill be back for round two.
Yummy food . Fast service with super friendly staff . Loved the taste and atmosphere
Authentic Tibetan cuisine. Sizzler Momos must try Food
Amazing food quality!
Food is delicious and service is top notch. We will visit frequently now. Food
amazing place. could not recommend more.
Amazing food
The beef Momo are excellent! Very spicy!
They don t take phone number to call when you on waiting list and don t even have a waiting area you stand outside and keep looking inside
Visited this place after reading all the wonderful reviews. There was a good long wait on a weekday night so that got me even more excited to try out the food. Ordered the veg momo and the server did mention it will be hot but I was confident my Indian taste palette could handle it. One bite of that and I though my mouth would get burnt! Sorry but this was not extra hot it was inedible. Believe it or not I added sugar to it because I was staaaarving after the long wait to be seated and then the food to arrive after ordering. But it didnt help. when I asked if they could make something a little less hot they said it would take another 15 minutes! I had no patience so I let it be. Ive been thinking about those momos and Im sure there was a mess up in the kitchen bcoz they were extra hot even Indian standards. I didnt feel it was right to be charged for them but out of politeness (and mouth burn and irritation) I just paid and left. Please be careful about ordering anything hot here . Also go when you have lotsss of time on hand. Otherwise the place seems to be pleasant.
Found this gem on a work trip to Toronto and was not disappointed. My partner and I are a big fan of momos and Indo Tibetan food in general and the food here was amazing. We got two different kinds of momos, the shapta and the chili chicken. Everything was absolutely amazing and the staff were kind and welcoming. This is definitely a must visit for anyone who enjoys momos and/or Tibetan food.
I have visited many times but idk recently food quality is changed and not good as before. Dough was so thick + I preferred momos with sauce but it was not that good as before. But service and ambience
Best momos in Toronto.
Delicious paneer momos & lovely staff! Highly recommend, every dish was a hit
Place is the real deal. So excited to come back!
pathetic experience very unprofessional
Im not sure how someone could walk in here and only eat 1 order of momos. Their momos are so good and stuffed well. The filling is well seasoned and comforting.
Delicious, authentic food! Definitely going to come back again and again. Highly recommend!
Best schewan fried rice , beef momos and pan fried chicken momos supply the best , best servers in the area great hospitality specially yuzu and tenzin must visit
Now i know why this restaurant has 4.9 rating.
We 4 people went there and ordered 5 dishes. The quality of food was really great and excellent service. server Lhamo was really nice and offered complimentary drink as well.
extremely delicious food, amazing staff, slightly high wait time but the food makes it worth the wait!
Ordered a noodle soup and the noodles were not cooked all the way through. The momos filling was good but the wrappers were very thick and doughy. Also order pan fried pork Momos and recieved steamed.
My go to place for Thukpa and laphing. Absolutely love the food and ambience. Great hosts.
It s my third visit Shambhala Kitchen in GTA is a true delight for food enthusiasts. Their dishes are bursting with flavor, showcasing the best of Himalayan cuisine. The service is impeccable, with friendly staff who ensure a memorable dining experience. For top-notch food and service in GTA, Shambhala Kitchen is the place to be. Must try there pan fried momo & steamed momo if you re a true momo fan will come back very soon
We ordered the Chili pork, momo platter (pan seared), and a mojito. All were incredible! You ll leave stuffed.
Best place to go for your momos cravings. This place was recommended by a friend and surely it didn t disappoint. We had the momos platter which includes steamed, pan fried, and deep fried momos.
I had the Vegetarian Thukpa here, it was amazing. Lots of vegetables, the soup was very warm and flavourful, and the staff is also quite nice and courteous. I highly recommend this place for authentic tibetan cuisine
Great food (especially the dumplings) and excellent service!
Only had one Chicken Momo off my friends bowl, though I wanted to be greedy and have a second one. My Veg Manchurian in a spicy sauce was just right. My friend ended up having two, asked me what kinda meat it was and was pleasantly surprised that it was veggie. Next time you are in Parkdale, you gotta eat here!
I loved their food! The staff is truly very attentive and pleasant! Its my Momo spot moving forward! :)
Update basis recent experience: One bad experience can spoil a hundred great ones ! Unfortunately, we recently had a bad experience at Shambhala and we are now unhooked as happy promoters we once were. This has indeed nothing to do with the food and we feel bad that we would miss their great food untill we find a good alternative to Shambhala Kitchen. Anyways, we recently visited Shambhala Kitchen in the evening and there was a wait outside, so we decided to wait outside. As we waited in the queue, a couple of people skipped and line and entered the restaurant. We felt possibly they came in for pick up. When our turn in the queue came, a server finally attended us and said we would have to wait to be seated now after the ones who had skipped the line. We clarified we came first and by virtue of basic etiquette we have been waiting to be attended to. She acknowledged that she saw us waiting; however thought we were with the other couple who skipped the line and got themselves on the waiting list. Technically owning to the pax number, I didnt quite understand the confusion and waited for the error to be acknowledged and corrected, but all we heard was that she is sorry we would have to wait. She didnt offer to correct the error. We were not sure what was difficult to fix in this situation, so we left with a bad taste, unlike what we always leave Shambhala with. We got our lesson from the episode and hope that Shambhala Kitchen team gets theirs too. - if there is a queue building, please avoid leaving it unattended as some people may misuse it - please avoid encouraging lack of basic etiquette as someone elses misconduct may cost the business reputation and customers. - if a mistake is made and realised, please acknowledge and correct it. It goes a long way Good Luck guys! - ----- - --------------------------------------------------------------- If you have tried Tibetan food, this place will make you fall in love with the cuisine. If you are new to Tibetan food, this place will effectively introduce and induct you to the aroma, the subtlety, and the simplicity of Tibetan cuisine. Highly recommended to all!!!!!
I always come here by myself and I love the momo s here! The paneer (cottage cheese) ones are amazing! (Pork and beef are fantastic as well) Also the waitress here (Lamo) she s so kind and sweet! Food
I tried their chilli chicken with rice for takeout. The spicy level were adjusted according to my taste and made very mild. The portion size, taste, quality was upto the mark. The staff was very attentive and also gives nice recommendations and convinced me to change my mind for good. I really enjoyed the meal and coming back soon for dine-in. PS : They are busy during peak hours and there could be some wait-time for dine-in
Today we are ordering food from door dash it s pathetic food foul smell stale food
Delicious food. The momos are always a hit, and the beef shabta is also excellent.
Amazing hearty soups and noodles, very sweet staff. They are the newest in the neighbourhood but there is always room for such a great restaurant. I got the Mixed Thukpa and it brought me back to life.
Nice place to eat variety of meat
Must try their himalayan beer!
You know how some people have a love affair with pizza or burgers? Well, Im in a committed relationship with Tibetan food and Shambala serves some of the best. I usually stick to my favorites - Thenthuk or Shapta, but this time I decided to be adventurous. My server, Kunsa, suggested the Mixed Thukpa, and Im glad I took her advice. It was so delicious that Im already dreaming about my next bowl. Here s a tip: Try to snag a reservation. The place gets packed and the wait times can be long. The food is so good it s no wonder people don t want to leave!
Very disappointing, i orderd online through uber and just requested for Chilli dip on side but they denied that their is extra charge whereas when we dine in theres no extra charge. Just for the dip its very disappointing.
Shambhala Kitchen offers a delightful journey into Tibetan and Himalayan cuisine! The Chili Garlic Fries, made crispy on request, were an absolute standout. The Yellow Laphing with Waiwai didnt hit the mark for us, but the pan-fried momos were delicious. The deep-fried paneer was a tasty treat, and the Shambhala Mixed Thukpa, with momos and noodles, was exceptional. The chicken sizzler was appealing and flavorful. A must-visit for unique, flavorful dishes!
Amazing food, great service.
The chicken filling inside the momos had rotting smell. Disgusting
Best momos in town and the staff is super friendly and accompanied. Highly recommended.
The place and food is overhyped. Chicken MoMos were pathetic and had some weird smell of chicken, I ordered fries and chicken nuggets for my kid and that was also smelly and oily, the worst fries I ever had. Rest of the food was OK type. Service was very slow too. Food
Honestly, we didnt like the food here. It was stale, place also looked unhygienic.
Authentic tibetian food in the heart of Toronto. Food is fresh and delicious , staff is friendly and interior simply takes me back to my hometown. The momos are yummy and chilli pork is a must try here. Will be definitely coming back to try the other items on the menu. They have limited tables , so expect line ups during peak hours.. but it s worth the wait.
Tried their mok thuk. One of the finest soups i ever had in Toronto. Very himalayan flavours. One soup bowl is actually enough for 2 people.
Absolutely delicious and friendly service. Highly recommend pork momos and Szechuan chow mein
Food was amaaazzzzing .. especially the chilli fries recommended by Kunsa. She was such a lovely person to talk too. Her service is top notch
One thing to say! The food was delicious specially chilli garlic fries and chowmein. I tried lot of things but chilli garlic fries took the first place .
Authentic momo khana miss vairaxa vane please go to somewhere else, nanglo or antai katai janus baru. As you can see reviews ma ni nepali derai xainan, indian ani bideshi haru le badi deko xa. Just for mero nepali manxe haru ko lagi, tyo hamle socheko jasto momo hudaina yeta. Tibetan khana try garna xa vane chai janus or else no. Review: Especially for nepalese people who are craving momo and all. We went there the ambience was great, service was great, however the food! We ordered steam chicken momo and while ordering she said we have to choose the sauce option that s cool but we wanted normal sauce that always comes side with the momo The tomato sauce , but she said that won t come. Normally, the tomato sauce ALWAYS comes with the momo and if we want to try some other sauce then we choose and order it right?. So we chose idk some sauce and the chicken was deaddd, it smelled rotten. We order garlic french fries too it was like it was made 1 hour earlier and they just microwaved and gave it to us. This place is only for those bideshi people ani bideshi khaire haru nai hune raixan. Runai maan lagira tyo momo ko halat dekhera hamle fried ni order gareko thiyo we left tyo momo ni:( Naramro lekhna maanthiyena but then hamlai ni ali ali expectations ta hunxa ni, they crushed it.
Great experience every time I visit this place. Food and customer service are the best. Highly recommended
Good service and good food Kid-friendliness: Wheelchair accessibility:
Amazing place, nice prices and you can eat delicious stuff)
This Tibetan restaurant has great service they customized the momos just how we wanted, and the honey garlic sauce was amazing. Also got two portions of chili garlic fries, and they were super generous, perfect for sharing. The best thing on the menu was definitely the signature chicken appetizer seriously, so good! No wonder this place has such great reviews. Friends ordered the Utsav beer, and they it tasted great with all the fried stuff. Definitely coming back. Thanks for the great meal!
Amazing food and incredible service, we had the best waitress I ve ever seen! So passionate and explaining and patient wow!
I still am craving this place after 2 weeks
The best Momos ever!!! So much flavour. So delicious. Service was top notch and very friendly. Momos made to order. I will go back for sure!!!
Non veg momos are awesome. You can try chilli garlic fries as well. Great place to spend your evening
Amazing experience and great service and superb food
I order chili garlic fries and momos. They were very soft and sauce was delicious. Hight recommend this place
The food was outstanding and the prices were a bargain for Toronto. I went there with a very large group and we overwhelmed them so service was a bit slow, But I highly recommend and would go back anytime Im in the area.
True desi chinese... We had chowmein ans momos. Brilliant taste!!! Food
Great Tibetan Food. The Shambala sizzler is a must have. Will definitely visit again!
Absolutely delicious, the deep fried paneer momos are an easy win. Very crispy exterior, great taste all around, perfect amount of sauce. Specifically with the chili sauce? Delicious. The Utsav beer is great too, worth a try if you like a classic lager! If you are as white as I am, keep an eye on the spice level! This isnt to say its too hot in any way, but the chilli can come at you fast!
Very nice
The dumplings are good! The chai tea is special too!
They don t take reservations but the food is incredible. The service is as good as a high end restaurant and the prices were great for the quality of food. We will come back.
Loved the food at Shambhala kitchen. Have been trying to find a place with good vegetarian momos and tibetan cuisine. Loved every dish that we ordered. Steamed momos, veg and paneer momo sizzlers, thupka, chowmein. Would definitely recommend this place. We always found this place full, so expect some waiting and go early.
Choenzin is super friendly. The food is extremely fresh! Love it!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shambhala Kitchen and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the mommo sizzlers they were delicious, bursting with flavors, and perfectly cooked. The chowmein was equally impressive, with just the right balance of spices and textures. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment. Its a warm and inviting place, ideal for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Im definitely coming back for more of those mouthwatering mommo sizzlers and delectable chowmein. Highly recommended!
Great food and service!
The place had an authentic Tibetan vibe to it. It had really great flavours which reminded me of back home.. the laping, momo, or even the pork chilly were perfect. Vegetarian options: Had a lot of vegetarian options as well.
The food was so so amazing. Absolutely loved the chicken steamed momos and the chutney with it. It is a hidden gem.
Omg.....just had one of the best momos of my life... even the laphing was out amazing. This place is a must try for all the people looking for good authentic Tibetan food.
Absolutely delicious food, very kind servers, and very reasonable prices - recommending this spot to everyone
Vegetarian options: Must try: Deep fry schezwan momos. Food
I discovered this place randomly while searching for good momos. The day i visited this place i came to know that they have a lot of stuff that is better than momos, not that the momos are any bad but everything they serve is superb. I recommend the schezuan momos and thukpa. Everytime i have come here and brought someone with me we have all fallen in love with this place. I do not have any photos, the next time i visit i will definitely get some.
Must visit
Delicious food! Spice lovers this is your place. So good and flavorfull. Loved it and amazing service. Such sweet people
Super tasty and good portions. We liked the pan fried the best! Pork, beef, and paneer were the tastiest in my opinion.
some of the best momos ive ever had! would recommended the deep fried beef momos. the meat is packed with flavour! update: finally got a chance to dine in and it was worth the wait. our server, kun, was amazing! had a lot of helpful recommendations and even let us try one of their unlaunched sauces!
Loved the food. We had paneer momos with chilli chicken gravy. Gravy was okayish but momos were awesome. Manchurian, chowmein and thukpa were Amazing! Will def go back. Food
Their food is so good! Our waitress Kun was super helpful in helping us order the right spiciness and sauces for our food!
This food is all what you want to make yourself happy amazing taste
Best Food, Best Staff, Best Tibetan Food in Toronto. Do not miss on their Garlic Fries. Food
Just heard about the restaurant in instagram reels and tried it for the first time, the food was amazing! we tried the Schezwan fried rice , Schezwan noodles , veg momos & veg sizzler. The quality of food was really great and excellent service. Real appreciation to sweet server Lhamo. Vegetarian options: Good Dine-In option for vegetarians.

Amazing food and excellent service. Saw the reel and decided to try it out. Excellent employees and good service from cute server Lhamo. Must try is the veg sizzler and chicken momos.
Shambhala Kitchen is an absolute delight! The flavors are so authentic that it feels like a little piece of Tibet right here in town. The momos are amazing super fresh and tasty! I also loved the thukpa and butter tea; they have just the right amount of spices. The staff is incredibly friendly and the place has a cozy vibe. If youre looking for genuine Tibetan and Himalayan cuisine, you ve got to check this place out! Vegetarian options: Its mostly vegetarian Wheelchair accessibility: yes
Shambhala Kitchen in Toronto is a gem for those seeking authentic Tibetan and Himalayan cuisine. The sizzlers here are an absolute delight, arriving at your table sizzling hot and bursting with robust flavors that transport you straight to the Himalayas. The rich, savory marinades and perfectly cooked meats and vegetables make each bite an adventure in taste and texture. Equally commendable are the dumplings, which are soft, succulent, and packed with delicious fillings that showcase the culinary traditions of the region. The blend of spices and the freshness of ingredients make Shambhala Kitchens offerings a must-try for any food enthusiast in Toronto.
I order couple of to-go dishes from here. The food was amazing, the quantity was very satisfactory compare to price and the best thing was the server... Kunsang.(.not too sure) was very friendly, honest with food recommendations and most importantly she serves people with a huge smile. Best buy for your money at this place. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian momos
Service, and quality of food is just amazing. Friendly staff.
TDLR : rude servers not interested in serving, experienced twice This is the third time weve been rudely turned away from Shambala. Despite good reviews, weve never been served: They close at 9 PM. We arrived at 8:15 PM, and after making us wait for 10 minutes, a server informed us they were closing the kitchen soon and couldnt accommodate us. Meanwhile, two other tables were chatting away with empty plates. We ended up at Himalayan Kitchen because Shambala clearly had no interest in serving us. We called ahead for a reservation, but they claimed not to take them. When we arrived at 6:45 PM, they suddenly had a reservation at 7:30 PM and couldnt seat us. They said they dont take reservations for three people? This inconsistency forced us to dine at Himalayan Kitchen yet again. On our first visit, they kept us waiting for 10 minutes only to inform us their card machine wasnt working. Neither debit nor credit cards were accepted
Best Tibetan restaurant. The foods have authentic tastes and the servers are very friendly and nice.
What a great family run restaurant! They took very good care of our group, and the food is amazing. Loved the appetizers (especially the fries) and the entries had a kick if you asked for it. They handled our reservation very nicely and we had a wonderful time.
Good service and servers were friendly + food was very delicious. Will definitely again.
Absolutely a gem of a place to eat! Especially if you wanna try something different. The staff is wonderful and very helpful in explaining the dishes. I got the chicken stir fry and I have to say the sauce that is on top of it is one of the best flavours I have ever tried!!! Will be coming again!!
The atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming, and the staff was so friendly, and also very informative and patient with any questions about the menu. The food tasted just as good as it looked!
Absolutely amazing restaurant. I ordered steamed pork momos and they were absolutely delicious, juicy, so tasty. Im going for a second round.
Delicious! Every dish tasted great. The chilli fries and sizzler + momo plates are especially delicious Dietary restrictions: Lots of veggie and vegan options!
Amazing food !
Best food ever!
Excellent Tibetan food. Highly recommend
The momos were delicious. Really liked the Manchurian sauce and would recommend that one.
5 stars the food is authentic Tibetan food the closest thing to Himachal Pradesh food its very good and the service is excellent I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
The sizzling plate was pretty mid when it comes to taste and value. My expectations may have been a little high given the 4.9 rating, but thats what happens when customers are offered a 5% discount to make a 5-star review. Food : 3/5
Most delicious momo s. Highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys momo s . Spicy and good fillings. The lashing is also worth trying. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Will definitely revisit .
We recently dined at Shambhala Kitchen on Queen Street and had a fantastic experience. As newcomers to the area, this meal was a delightful discovery. We enjoyed the Wai Wai Laphing, Chicken Momos, and Chicken Chowmein, each dish perfectly seasoned to our taste since they offer customizable spice levels. The staff was very polite and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. The total came to around $55 for two people, which felt like great value for the quality and flavor of the food. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious and authentic Tibetan meal. Well definitely be back!
Amazing food holy moly. And the food came out extremely quick. Very friendly service too. 10/10.
Food, service, and overall very pleasant experience!
Amazing food and really good quantity
This was the most authentic Tibetan food I ve had since Majnu Ka Tila. We ordered laphing, veg and paneer momo and gya thuk. Everything tastes super fresh, the flavours were so wholesome. The music was also very complementary to the overall dining experience. Loved loved loved it. I m kinda mad it took us so long to discover this place.
Finally, we have found the authentic Tibetan/Himalayan cuisine we were looking for in GTA. The ambiénce and service were equally great. The thukpa and dumplings were delightful... and I washed them all down with the most refreshing virgin mojito I have had in years. We will definitely recommend the hospitality of Tenzing for all ... cheers
Best momos Ive ever eaten, and great service. Didnt interrupt us when we lingered awhile to chat. Cant wait to visit again.
This hidden jewel, located in Parkdale is extremely clean and the staff are polite and smiley. Food was spectacular, we ordered a platter of steamed chicken, pork, and paneer momos along with a delicious rice and Manchurian-style chicken. The prices are good, the service was amazing and our stomachs were happy to taste something new. This Tibetan experience was out of this world. 100% recommended!
Amazing food and customer service. Hats off to Shambhala Kitchen s team.
Literally one of the best taste i could ever had here in Canada in momos, thupka , chilly garlic potato. Just perfect . The quantity is great. I mean, I can have food from here every single time, it is so so great. Kudos for maintaining a perfect taste
Good service and nice dishes Kid-friendliness: Nice services Food : 5/5 |
Visited on Thursday, April 11/24 around 5PM for dine in. When I first looked up this place I noticed the 4.9 rating and was like ??? Its very rare to see a 4.9 rating with over 1000 reviews. To confirm yes, they are review spiking - if you leave a 5 star or positive review they give you 5% off your bill so take that information as you will. **Also please for the love of God, OIL YOUR DOOR - it was so squeaky the sound was hurting my ears... When we walked in we were the only patrons at the time. Atmosphere was nice and cozy. Customer service was fine - nothing above and beyond. Portion size to cost I think is pretty fair. Portions are quite decent. I was surprised. I couldnt finish either of my dishes so now they are lunch! Our food took a VERY long time to come out and my guess is because they dont freeze their momos; Im assuming they assemble and steam/cook them when we ordered them. Because for a Thursday early dinner our orders took a while before they hit the table. I got the Steamed Momos, Shambhala Mixed Thukpa and a Peach Ice Tea. This was my first time having Tibetan food so I have nothing to compare it to - but my friend who is an expert says everything was excellent. Next time I want to try the deep fried or pan fried momos. That being said the Momos were so tender, the Thukpa was very flavourful (got chicken Dumplings with this) however I wasnt a fan of the noodles in the soup. It just felt like empty carbs to me and the noodles didnt provide any flavour - yes I could have added vinegar or chilli sauce but I wanted to see what it was like on its own. The peach tea was delicious! Definitely recommend but towards the end it got sweet so save some of your table water and pour it in. *I didnt get the 5% off because I am writing this review after my visit. I would still recommend this place for authentic Tibetan Food.
First time trying Tibetan food and I was not disappointed! Got the momo platter with 3 meat and 1 vegetarian option + tibetan noddles.
Honestly great food, my fav Tibetan food on the block. Service is super friendly, keep driving here from Mississauga cause we crave it
Super delicious and a great variety of noodles and momos.

Tried Shambhala kitchen for the first time. We were not disappointed. The Momos were heavenly and so was everything else. The Mojitos were very nice! Thanks to Tenzing and team for making our visit a memorable one. Complimentary fries for our toddlers birthday were so appreciated!
Delicious food, great quantity for the price and friendly service.
Parking: Queen street Food
We were last to dine in just before their closing time. We got nice service, and the food was amazing.
Ordered vegetable chow mein. Love the taste. The quantity for $18 plus Uver surcharge is very expensive for thr lle quantity provided. I know you get much more when you dine in. Plus no condiments provided with the order. Not impressed with the service.
One of the best momos in the city.
Amazing veggie momo and thupka
Great food, great service! Great garlic fries .
