The MoMo House in Toronto

This is no longer the MoMo house. They do Roti. Although friendly, they food was only so-so. Most likely would not order again. We paid extra for a garlic roti and got plain. Dont order any dishes with the +$2 for included rice as you get mosrly rice with only 1/2 of what the container should contain for the dish. Portions were minimal. Staff was friendly.

The momos took forever to come out, the people working there were rude. The foos was very average and not so good. Definitely way better momos in toronto than to eat here.

Our go to momo place simply live the preparation. It s light and flavourful.

Just like their Kurkure momos.. others are not the best among their competitors in that area. Sauce portion is way too small to be enough.

I ordered (Uber Eats) the steamed paneer and mixed veg momo, chilli paneer and mixed veg steamed momos, and tomato chutney. Issues I had with the momos The bad: 1. The wrapper was too thick 2. Comparing the amount of filling between the chilli momos and plain momos the plain momos had less stuffing which doesnt make sense. 3. The filling was bland 4. The chilli sauce on the momos tasted like it was starting to go bad. 5 The tomato chutney tasted off and was no flavorful. 6. The chili sauce was bland. Overall the restaurant need to focus on Quality... very disappointed

Very Poor customer service. We have been their regular customer and today there was a new hired girl. Her name was Zemo (thats what she said) She had no manners how to talk and we placed our order on the phone and she didnt tell us that we couldnt dine in on a order which was placed on call then we told her to add another plate so that we could sit and eat there and she told us that the restaurant was buzy when they just had 1 table which was booked rest 5 tables were empty She was yelling when we asked for her name to mention in the review she also refused to call the manager and any other person, she refused to tell me her name as she knew that she didnt treat us well. This is a picture of her arguing with us also this is a screenshot for her as she said I couldnt take her pic. but as its a public place I Can do it! I would really want the owner to keep better staff as their food is good..

To begin, the place is clean (unlike another Momo joint opposite which was unfortunately quite filthy). The Momos were well made, really enjoyed the consistency and flavourful filling. I especially enjoyed the ones coated in butter chicken gravy and the jhol Momos - the butter chicken gravy hot the spot inspite of being on the sweeter side, effort was put into it. The jhol was packed with a very different flavour that grows on you after 1 bite. Pleasant service and overall a good experience.

OMG! I tried this place today and cant express how delicious and mouth-watering the momos were. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the prices are fair. I absolutely loved their paneer butter chicken momos. I also tried the chili momos with potatoes and cheese, but the butter chicken momos were the best. I highly recommend this place!

Vegetarian options: Had the Jhol momo dish and it was delightful. Delicious mushroom and paneer filled dumplings with a spicy tomato and peanut sauce. Service was excellent and the food far exceeded my expectations. Will be recommending to my friends and coming back for more! Food

I ordered potato cheese momos. The waitress was friendly and service was fast. The momos themselves were very disappointing. All I could taste was whole wheat flour. No flavour to the momos, do not waste your money on these.

Have always loved Momo house, lately though the food has not been the flavourful explosion it used to be. Its rather bland. Also find that the hot sauce tastes more like tomato sauce with very little spice. The chili beef was extremely sweet with very little kick to it. Not sure what is going on and hope it changes back soon.

Its not worth the hype, I order chicken steam momos, chicken was under cooked, when I addressed the issue to the staff, They didnt really bother, thats why 1* rating

Ordered on Doordash and received disgusting Momos that were so obviously frozen. I feel sick just having ate one of them. Never again

I ordered two plates of Momos, jhol and chilli Momos. The potato jhol momos were so undercooked that I had to cook them in the microwave and they still didnt taste great. The jhol gravy was basically water and not great at all. The chilli Momos just taste like ketchup. Very sour. Basically the worst Momos Ive had period. I wish them good luck to fix their menu. I am surprised there were so many good reviews. If you want good Momos just go to songtsen cafe or shambala kitchen in the same area.

First time at The Momo House. It s not a very large space but cozy with 3-4 tables. You have to order at the front counter, they don t take orders at the table. Super quick service. Our momos were out in like 5-6 mins. Super tasty and fresh momos. I ordered the 5 pieces of Kurkure Chickem Momos and another 5 pieces of Steamed Chicken Momos. Their chicken momos are HALAL. My friend confirmed with them. The momos came with a side of mayo and chilli sauce. The chilli sauce is quite spicy so be careful. Both sauces add great flavour. The fillings of the momos were so juicy and flavourful! I loved it. I did not try the mango lassi but my friend did and she said it was great.

I went here with my friends for dinner on a stormy winter night. Their warm momos were perfect for such a cold night. Best thing is that all their chicken options are halal. I got the chicken kurkure momos and paired it with mango Lassi. I also shared chicken steam momos with my friend. I loved the taste, presentation and overall experience. I cant wait for their danforth branch to open as well. I would love to go back here soon.

Very cute casual place with some indoor seating. I wouldnt come here with more than a party of 4. Great for 1-2. You can order momos in sets of 5 in almost any combination of filling and momo style which was great because we wanted to try a little bit of everything! Service was friendly, fast, and the food was delicious. Id definitely go again if Im in the neighbourhood and there was steady traffic for take-out pick ups while we stayed there too.

Great Momos - the kurkuri are their specialty and very unique (dusted with Tibetan spices and then covered in fine bread crumbs and deep fried). Would recommend trying this since I havent seen this often at other places. Steamed Momos were good too. Cute interior and great service. Momos are made to order but came out quick.

It was my first time visiting this place after a few friends brought me over. I was very happy with the service, food quality and quantity. We orders 4 different types of momos chicken and veg and I had to order one extra for take out . The person serving us was also very nice and patience especially when we decided to dine in at 9:30pm even though they close at 9:45 . Thank you for proving amazing service . I myself as a business man know how hard it becomes sometimes to keep everything 100 percent for clients . Will definitely visit again .

Just to start with their momos are delicious. You will love the taste of any momos you gonna order. I felt like they can provide the steel cutlery instead of the plastic because it breaks when you are trying to cut the momos in half just because fried ones are little hard to cut with fork. Food taste is incredible. We have visited many Momo places in Toronto but this one is amazing, like one of the best places ever to have momos. The filling in the momos and the size of the momos are more than you can imagine. Will keep visiting again and again. Loved it!! Highly recommend this place. One of the best Momos place to try, a little hidden gem

This is our go to place for momos. Everything now and then we trek all the here for an 1hr to grab momos. My kids only eat momos from here. Kid-friendliness: I have only done take out from here. But this is the only place my kids will eat momos as their filling is flavorful but not spicy.

My go to place for butter chicken momos

I m handicapped and couldn t get inside because of the stair to get in. I had to get someone to run in and grab the food for me. They did and the food was okay when I eventually was able to eat it. I have been eating from the momo house from past 2 years but this time the momos were horrible. I ordered kurkure, butter chicken and chilli. The covering is thick and really less filling which was their USP, But really disappointed this time.

This was a fun find! I recommend the butter chicken Momo(fried), though my dining partner had steamed and seemed to find them equally enjoyable. Go for the. side tingmo to mop up the leftover butter chicken sauce. Five Momos plus the side was enough food for lunch. We were there right at 1pm(they open) on a Friday and we had the place mostly to ourselves.

Got the vegetable steamed momos and butter chicken momos, both tasted good. Its a cute place with a cozy ambience. You need to place an order at the counter and they bring your food to your table, quick service and friendly staff. Butter chicken gravy could be a bit more flavorful (the butter overpowered every other flavor for me). The chili dipping sauce was ok, could do with a bit less spice and some more flavor.

Ordered chilli momos. Three stars because the momos taste good but the momo covering is a disappointment. It is chewy and feels uncooked. If there was a way they could work on that then it would drastically improve the dish.

Lack flavour.

Good food but horrible manners. Ordered 7 plates of momo for our entire family but they wont allow the small baby to have something from outside. Says its the rule that outside food is not allowed. Fail to understood why its difficult to make an exception for a baby. Horrible horrible service levels and i say it inspite of the fact that i love the food here. Sorry but you guys lost a customer for good. Wont be coming back for sure, unless they learn some basic courtesy towards the customer.

Variety does not mean great. Tried the veg chili Momo and the steamed meat momo. The veg Momo was chalky and gum like inside. The meat Momo was dry (no juice) and meat was chewy. The sauces were great.. one was slightly sweet the other spicy. Service is quick but the food itself was not not great

Kurkure momos and butter chicken momo is a must try.

This place was fantastic, 10/10. From the food to the service it was all great. The owners are very hospitable and gave us great recommendations since we ve never had momos before. We got the chili momo, kurkure momo, and the beef patties. Getting the chili momo and kurkure momo together was a great recommendation because they balanced each other out. We also got the mango lassi which my bf and I both finished. It s similar to a mango smoothie was great since the chili momo has a kick to it. Food didn t take long at all and the restaurant itself is pretty cute

I ve been searching for authentic momos since my move to Toronto. Four years later, I ve found the place and I m a regular now. They have multiple locations so find the one closest to you and get some jhol momos!

Ordered online and paid for Momos. They gave my bag to someone else even though i was there first, told me I had ordered at another location ( wrong) and made me go into the kitchen to see the tablet and argued about it. Kept emphasizing that another girl took my order as though it was my fault. After I produced proof of order, he stated to cook my momos from scratch. I was already late with dinner and had to wait HALF AN HOUR in the store to collect my Momos. They tasted good but not worth this much stress. My driver sat outside in the car, waiting half an hour. They were not busy at this time. Didnt give me a single free Momo to make up for this ordeal. Seriously, not worth the ordeal.

We tried the colourful vegetarian ones, the momo skin was infused with natural food colourings. They were very cute but tastes bland even with the mildly spicy sauce on the side. You have the option of ordering a small portion (5) or the standard portion (10).

Pretty good momos! I had the Kurkure Momo with Bhutanese Aloo Cheese, the Chilly Momo with Chicken and the Jhol Momo with Mix Veg and Paneer. They were all good and the chilli sauce they give you on the side is really delicious.

We visited the momo house for some momos and we loved it. We tried the chicken jhol momos, chilly chicken momos and amdo beef momos and each of them were amazing in taste. The spicy chilly sauce was a perfect accompaniment to the momos. Loved our experience and will definitely visit again

The momos here are fantastic and are iterations on the classic momos. I feel they capture the best parts of traditional momos while adding a modern twist; I especially enjoy the sauces used on the momos.

Writing this review while still eating..took home the steamed chicken momos and can t contain the taste nostalgia that s hitting hard..left Nepal almost a year back and today it feels like I am back home! Thank you for these mini flavor bombs..will be back for more!
