Enjoyed Jessicas tour of 6 Kensington spots. We had Québécois, Jamaican, Chilean, Japanese, Tibetan and Swedish. The sizes were not huge, not tiny, just right. We didnt eat dinner we were that full. Highly recommend for everyone, even Torontonians like us.

We went today and Jessica was our tour guide. Jessica explained the food we were eating and how the culture of the country of origin infused with Toronto culture to make a perfect match. There is nothing fancy about the food or the restaurants we visited today, but the experience of this food tour makes this one of the best memories of a vacation we have ever had!

My husband and I had a pleasant experience today on this tour. All the food we tried was very tasty, and William the tour guide, was excellent, very friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the food.

We had an awesome experience at this tour! It was the perfect mix of educational, fun, and delicious. The food was all places that we would not have tried previously but are so glad we were introduced to. Jessica was knowledgeable and a great tour guide!

Insane passive aggressive company steer clear! This tour operator is extremely passive aggressive and xenophobic. I suggest you avoid it entirely. Please find below my review posted on Tripadvisor and attached the response from the operator. I would ve loved them to welcome my feedback or ask to chat further rather than make snooty and incorrect remarks about our country of origin and how prepared we were for their hapless, boring and gastronomically destitute tour. Avoid at all costs! We had been looking forward to this food tour but, as the heavens opened, our anticipation soon gave way to anguish. Of course, it is scarcely the tour operator s fault that torrential rain occurred, but we felt it would ve been better to cancel the tour rather than expect guests to trudge, drenched, about the streets. If prior communication with guests and cancellation isn t possible, guests should at least be able to expect for there to be a Plan B route available to the guide in the event of severe rain. In our case, however, we ended up standing totally uncovered in the rain whilst the tour guide murmured quietly about the local area. No effort was made to take these briefings inside, or even to somewhere with basic cover. This meant that we were very wet and uncomfortable, and thus quickly miserable. The tour guide also moved at a glacial pace, compounding the situation for all having to follow her. We would probably have continued grinning and bearing it but the food we ate was of very low quality and the establishments we visited dirty and virtually devoid of locals which says it all. The bagels at the beginning were acceptable, though the establishment was smelly, whilst the Jamaican patties served thereafter were ok but we found putting a patty in bread, as though the patty were a sandwich filler, to be carb overkill. Things got worse when we arrived at the empanada place: the guide mentioned a 71-year old woman preparing the empanadas, the doña of the establishment. We never saw her, which would ve been nice given her centrality to the stop. Moreover, the empanadas needed to served with some sort of hot sauce. They were bland and sickly, especially the cheese one which was crying out for salt. When we arrived at the fish and chips establishment, we had had enough. The place was very dirty indeed, the toilets filthy, and the fish was poor. At this moment, we chose to abandon the tour and go to a top restaurant rather than head back out into the hammering rain for more miserable morsels. To be clear, I do not at all hold the tour operator or guide responsible for the poor weather rain happens but the company should think through an alternative route / experience for when the weather is as horrendous as it was today. But, most importantly, I would not be able to recommend any of these good stops to anyone, ever. Please exercise caution if considering booking. If you are serious about good food this is not for you.

Had a very good tour 2 days ago even with/despite the cold and snow flurries. Food was great and the history and knowledge that our tour guide Jessica exhibited really brought everything together! Really different from the Vancouver food scene, on a good way!

I did the Kensington Market Signature International Food Tour with my friends.Very disappointed. The guide was great but they need to improve on the food. We had 3- 4 good stops. The others ones were not good. The tour is quite costly when compared to the food provided. Instead of paying $89, we should pay around $50. Well, this is a clear case where the owner of the company can t handle a bad review and have 0 customer services skills ! So bad !! Good luck taking money from people !!

Jusep was our guide and the history he shared with us was exceptional in bringing the food context to life. I never would have experienced this side of Toronto on my own and I work in restaurants in NYC so I know my way around the food scene. I truly learned ao much today and left with a very full and satisfied belly.

Jessica did our tour for my bro and 9 other friends for his bachelor party and it was such a great idea! We got to have a mini history of Kensington market while stuffing our face with perfect size tastings! Jessica was super helpful and friendly and would definitely recommend her.

My wife and I chose this company to do a food tour because of the great reviews, the choices available, and that we could book with our Chase points! The fusion tour we did was fantastic. William was a superb guide, sharing stories of the Kensington market that left us feeling like we had a good background of this unique neighborhood. He was very personable and funny and was attentive to everyones needs. The six food spots selected for the tour were all delicious. Each spot being a fusion of two cuisines was unique, things you wouldnt get in your city. The portions are solid, definitely filling and could easily make a second meal out of leftovers. Theres a nice walk between a few of the spots which help give you a break lol. Overall a wonderful experience!

We did the fantastic fusion food tour around Kensington Market, cannot fault a thing. Coffee, Ube flan and the Puk were my favourites (but there was anything that wasnt delicious to tell you the truth). If you like trying new foods this is the tour for you!

We purchased tickets through a third party and weren t able to select vegetarian options and they were able to fix it during the tour which we really appreciated! My friend and I went on this tour as the only Canadians in the group and we learned that the palates of Torontonians are very unique apparently Jamaican patties are not very common in the USA! Did the tour today with Veronica. She was knowledgeable about the history of the area and all the food stops. We arrived at Nu Bagel at 10:30 and she was there to great us. All the food stops were great, a a world tour. Most of them we wouldn t of found on our own, We especially liked the trout bagel and Jumbo Empanadas. The tour gave us a great overview of Kensington Market. The vibe and energy of the area exceeded our high expectations. Can t wait to return! Thanks, Veronica for making the day special! I asked about Jimmy s Coffee and Veronica explained about all the blends are named after famous Jimmy s, even it wasn t on the tour.

Excellent tour leader (William) but food selections-Kensington Market-were disappointing

Our tour guide, Jessica was gracious, knowledgeable and made sure our group had the best time. I will be highly recommending this tour company for future company events and cannot say enough about how wonderful a tour it was with Jessica! There was so much food and neighbourbood walk was at the perfect pace, and everyone raved about how great an experience it was! Highly, highly recommended!

We recently did an International food tour in Kensington Market, Toronto with Chopsticks and Forks. We give 5 stars to Jessica, the terrific friendly guide, and we loved the walking tour and info she gave us, but for us, the food selection fell short. There was 6 tastings, the first was the best in our opinion, wont say what it was as it may change on another tour. It was very fresh, but the others were quite stodgy. We would have loved some more fresh produce, something with rice, greens..... even fruit would be awesome! But it was a great way to spend a few hours and meet some nice people, and a great tour guide And you may love the food choices!

We met with our lovely tour guide Jessica who was quite informative, extremely nice and very accommodating. She took us through a tour that we couldnt make on our own and made us try more than we could dare. We enjoyed every minute of it. ( including our 1 and 5 year olds who had an absolute blast!! ) Top 2 tries for me was the trout bagel and the fish and chips ( the absolute best that i have ever tried). The inca kola was a refreshing interlude as well. Make the time for it !! You shouldnt miss out.

My partner and I spent an afternoon experiencing the Kensington Market Signature International Food Tour hosted by Chopsticks+Forks. Our tour guide Jusep has a delightful personality and provided amazing insight into not only the various foods tasted but also the rich history of the Kensington market. His passion for food and loving bonds with the local store owners was second only to the delicious flavours tasted throughout the tour. I highly recommend anyone considering a visit to the Kensington market to take this tour. You get to discover so many new cuisines. My only advice would be to arrive hungry!

Last minute booking during pandemic times and we actually got it for morning on next day! We late to the tour, and yet Jusep was so nice and understanding! He told us great stories, some Canadians history, took us to places that we would never be able to find by ourselves. It was delicious, interesting, and very nice time! Highly recommended!

Myself and a group of 5 others did the international Kensington food tour for a bachelorette celebration. This was my first time doing a food tour in Toronto. It was a great choice! My friends and I had the greatest time! Jusep is such a kind-hearted and fun person. He was a fantastic guide and really made the tour so much fun. He was super accommodating and took so many group photos for us and really knew his stuff! We all felt he was the greatest guide and made us feel so comfortable (despite covid) keeping his mask on the entire time. Jusep seems to genuinely love what he does and appreciates food and culture. We tried so many new places and different cuisines. Plus, the food was delicious! It was a pleasant surprise for our entire group, including the ones that felt they knew Kensington Market. I would recommend this tour for anyone that appreciates different cuisines and would love to learn more about Kensington Market.

My wife and I did the tour this week and it was really good. Even with a cold weather we enjoyed our time. You discover Kensington Market in a way we never did. It is foodie but also we learn some history about the neighborhood and this is really interesting. The different restaurant we tried we welcoming and the food was amazing. I would recommend this tour and will probably do another one soon.

I usually dont take the time to write reviews but I honestly have to for this. The Kensington Market International Food Tour was simply AMAZING!!!! The guide, Jusep (hope Im spelling that right) was so passionate about all the destinations, the food, and the history behind the food culture. And dont get me started on all the dishes we tried! Everything was so good - I could hardly eat by the end of the tour I was so full haha. I was born in Scarborough and I couldnt believe all the hidden gems I was missing in Kensington Market! I think hes coming out with a new tour soon, super excited!!

William was a great host who took the time to give us a great experience. I learned and saw much more than I expected to and found some great locations I will definitely visit again. The whole tour was very well thought out. I really enjoyed the Kensington Market tour and highly recommend it.

My husband and I spent an afternoon doing the Canadian food tour with Jusep. We would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Toronto! The food was amazing and we loved hearing about the history behind it and talking to Jusep about Canada in general. Great tour!!!! The tour guide, Jusep Sim of Chopsticks and Forks, was exceptional, informative, entertaining and charismatic. I would gladly go again and recommend the tour to everyone. I learnt a lot of Torontos hidden history, pro active and close knit ethnic community and cultural life. The tour lasted 3hrs but went by so fast it felt as if we were together for 1hrs. We tasted food from 6 different cultures and not only did it delight our taste buds it introduced us to a new culinary experience. A great way to connect with Toronto. Well worth the time and cost. Hands down the best food tour I have ever been on. Jusep is extremely knowledgeable and has taken great care to craft a fun and delicious journey through Torontos most diverse neighborhood. My wife and I had a blast talking with Jusep and the rest of our group while enjoying some amazing foods which ranged from familiar favorites to completely new territory for us. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Toronto, especially if you are only in town for a short while. You would probably not be able to sample all these different foods on your own in a short span, but thanks to Juseps relationships with these great local spots you get to try so many different delicacies in just a few hours. In addition, the neighborhood itself is a feast for the senses and Jusep provides some great backstory and info about this cultural gem throughout the tour. I look forward to hopefully returning to Toronto soon to take another tour with Jusep. Well worth it!

We absolutely loved this tour! Jusep was an amazing tour guide! I hope one day to see him hosting his own Food Network show. We ate delicious food and learned about both the origins of the food and the people who cook it. Kensington market is a vibrant community of people and food. Exploring it with Jusep is a pleasure and a delight! As Jusep says, food gives us a way to connect with others. What better place to eat, learn and connect than in Toronto!

We had most of 3 great hours with our fabulous host and owner of Chopsticks and Forks. Basically you get to taste a lot of different kitchens street food - with 6 stops you will visit 8 countries through an absolutely managable walk for everyone. The story telling is amazing and humorous spirit of our host was just out of this world. Kensington has an interesting story that you will learn about - a multi cultural melting pot with a great vibe to it. The choice of food samples were bread heavy and that is the only change I would suggest. Less bread or wheat based foods - I am sure there are other fillers than wheat from the kitchens visited.

The Kensington Market Food Tour was excellent and informative. Jusep is a great guide/host, and the entire experience was very fulfilling! We are making plans to go back again with several friends to introduce them to a wonderful time in a quaint area of Toronto.

Giuseppe took us around to six stops where we tried Jamaican, Chilean, Native Canadian, Polish, Tibetan and Swedish cuisine. Giuseppe is a world traveler and very well versed in foods from many nations. We had a great time and the tour definitely expanded our palate. Would highly recommend for an afternoon in Toronto.

Best food tour Ive ever done! And Ive done quite a few! Really great experience! Jusep is an excellent guide who really works hard to make sure every guest has a great time on his tours. He loves travel and food, so this tour is a great way for him to tell us about his many trips around the world and treat us to some delicacies from places like Tibet, Jamaica, Poland, Sweden, and Chile. I am an adventurous eater and I can honestly say I hadnt had any of these dishes before and I loved every bite! Jusep was also incredibly sweet, and told us great stories about his diverse culinary experiences and his love of cultures around the world. He has a true and contagious passion for this kind of thing. It was a real pleasure to be around. Also, he did a great job organizing the group and keeping everyone together in a pretty chaotic and busy market. He even set up internet access for us on the tour via a mobile hotspot and he had a little button for each of us, and a business cards, and a mailing list. He runs his company really really well. I have to say, this tour really exceeded my expectations. I can still remember each dish so well, I want to go back and do it all again!
