中餐馆 Chinese Food
Very large portions for the price, and taste is not bad either! The restaurant itself is kind of small and dingy though, and if you do dine-in, expect to have basically no service.
We ordered on Skip and tried the S&S Pork on Rice and Beef & Broccoli on Rice. I hate to have to say it but possibly some of the lowest quality and value we have experienced in the area. The portions were quite light on protein and high on white rice. For the money, I would have expected more. We will not be ordering from here again.
I was initially hesitant to go in for lunch due to the restaurant’s appearance and the fact that it wasn’t busy, but I was pleasantly surprised! The food tasted great, and the service was friendly. We were even offered complimentary beverages, which was a nice touch. I also appreciated that the food was cooked fresh to order. The only downside was that we experienced some stomach discomfort afterward.
Got spicy beef fried rice with extra beef. The rice was well made with good wok hai. The spice was well balanced and worked well. A little to much oil but over all a great place to get some fried rice.
So rare to find a restaurant with good value here in Toronto these days. Staff was lovely and food was good. Super simple but hit the spot!
Such a great spot open late for Chinese food! The food is made fresh and the portions are huge for a very reasonable price. I recommend the ginger beef on rice.
Been wanting to try this place since we moved to the area but was skeptical. Food came out quickly. Service was good. Food wasn't bad at all. I wanted more of a Wor Won Ton but the one I got only had cabbage or Bok Choy it seems. Next time I will try their other Won Ton. Cantonese chow mein toppings were good but I prefer a more crispy noodle base. Still good though. Makes for a quick place to stop into.
My family and I came back late from a play and were super hungry. We coincidentally found this restaurant being opened really late, so we decided to give it a try. To describe the interior of the restaurant in the nicest way possible...its functional. Looks of the restaurant can be deceiving because the food was phenomenal. All items were very tasty and fresh. Prices were also super reasonable for today's economy. In addition, service was top notch. I will totally come back here and eat again!
Very rich, says a good palate
The guy is so kind and the food is very good and about of portion is awesome
I tried the chicken noodle soup and chicken fried rise. Really good portions and taste great Food : 5/5
Fantastic Chinese restaurant. Tasty food, served fresh and quickly. Will be back. Thank you
Very good Chinese food!
Can t beat the price for solid tasting food
I have lunch there regularly, and the food is sooo good! Fish and Tofu on Steamed Rice!
Really good Chinese food, super fast delivery
Our favourite confy and delicious food!
My new favorite Chinese restaurant.
Authentic Chinese food at a decent price and a Family owned business. Thank you
Delicious!
Worst food we order corn and chicken soups they send wrong soup chicken on rice so bad no fresh chicken 3 nodles are not cooked pls dont oder food from this place they give stale food
Very disappointed. Ordered on UberEats last year but i forgot to finish this review. It was so bad that I remembered and had to write the rest of it. Every dish I ordered was absolutely terrible. Made with very little care. A disgrace to Chinese food.
I order through Uber eats bad experience its take out small plastic bag and no soy sauce or hotsauce no cutlery chopstick.order Im too late not cooked food
Delicious! I got the tofu and mixed veggies and will definitely be getting it again. Great service too!
We just went here, was skeptical with the mixed reviews. We ordered the vermicelli noodles, beef broccoli, and shrimp fried rice. I must say we were very happy with the food. It tastes very good, the quality is good, they threw in bokchoy I dont know if it was a mistake or just being nice but the veggie is very nice. Packed with meat, and the little shrimps in the rice, not stingy at all and the price is very decent. The place it self looks a bit run down but thats how you know its Authentic . Def recommend it, and will be going back soon
no dont order cantonese chow mein and hot and sour soup! soup kinda disgusting and chow mein bland and oiily
Best Wonton soup ever!!! We have recently tried this place and are already addicted Beef and broccoli dish is was also really good
A real hidden gem. Does not look like much on the outside but the food is absolutely amazing. The staff is very friendly as well. I can tell this will be a go to Chinese food place going forward.
Great food for very good price, def coming back
If I could give less that 1 star I would. The food was disgusting. I try not to leave reviews if I don t like something but this was genuinely terrible.
Honestly, this was the worst food I ve ever had in my entire 19 years of living. The reviews were mixed so I was like hm let me try it bc never judge a book by its cover but I should ve judged. I got the soup dumplings and fried dumplings bc I was craving dumplings and I wish I didn t. The pork dumplings were sweet like there was sugar and the dough was super thick like weirdly thick and soggy. The soup dumplings ended up killing my stomach. I over all feel sick. I wouldn t eat here and I wouldn t recommend to my worst enemy. Not even trying to be dramatic. The regular dumplings also had holes in them ???? Anyways.
Friendly place allow me to use washroom
I stumbled across this place by chance, as it was one of the few restaurants open past 10pm, and was pleasantly surprised to discover they offer all-day dim sum and other yummy Cantonese dishes! The dishes are great value for the portion size and delicious! There was a generous amount of vegetables and meat on our Cantonese Chow Mein. The restaurant itself is small and outdated looking, as some other reviewers have mentioned. Its a mom and pop-type establishment and the family works hard. The older female chef was friendly and grateful for our business. She even called me a leng-nui :-) Looking forward to coming back and trying their other menu items.
Found this shop by accident! The takeaway food tastes good and the portions are generous! Cheap price! The boss is very friendly! Also give me a bottle of Coke
This one is interesting... I cannot rate the food because I didnt actually get any food. I read the reviews here, was in the area, was interested, and so I stopped in just to give them a try. I ordered shrimp dumplings and a hot and sour soup which came to $10 (cash price). They wanted me to pay up front for dine in. That was strange but whatever. The counter guy did not have change for a $50 bill. I said I would happily pay the $10 on debit. The debit price would normally have come to $11.30. after explaining this to him twice... The notion that I should not be penalized because he did not have change and would be willing to pay the $10 cash price on debit rather than the $11.30 price, he said hed have to ask. I know this is about a measly $1.30, but its really the principle of the thing and not the money. Remember, this is my first experience at this place. Anyhow, he came back and said sorry and handed me my $50 bill back. Needless to say, this experience has left quite the impression of upon me. Worthy of a review? Perhaps... I feel it speaks to the attitude of whomever it was back there who refused what I feel was a reasonable offer. This is definitely a secondary thought, but there was a foul smell in that place... They may have been having toilet/sewage issues. Thus, this whole thing may have been a blessing in disguise. Cheers.
Small family owned Chinese place that does fresh to order. They put up boards overnight as had the window smashed so it looks like they are closed for good when actually not. Got most of the foods you desire! Portions are usually for 2 or 3 people so don t over order. Dining area not modern but functional. Worth the money!
Food here is really good. I had the chili chicken and spring rolls. The chili chicken was tender and crispy with a lovely sauce. The spring rolls were stuffed with cabbage and chicken, very tasty! This is my go to place for Chinese food! Try it you wont be disappointed.
This place has the best service ever. Once they sent someone to my place just because they made a small mistake with the order (which I hadnt even noticed). The other day, on an online food delivery service, I accidentally ordered for pickup instead of delivery, and after I called them to tell them about my mistake, they sent me right away someone from their own restaurant (I hadnt even asked them to do that)!
Excellent chicken fried rice Excellent wonton soup Excellent price Food : 5/5
I ordered the Satay Beef & Noodles. Delicious! Very generous portion! He added Broccoli & Red Pepper. Great! Thanks! Old school prices & genuineness. Much appreciated! He gave me a spring roll on the house to try. Very nice people. Will definitely go back again.
Delicious and fresh food, the price is good, even more, considering the area. I ordered one fried chicken rice with spring rolls, and it was enough for two people. The place is unique, kind of vintage and magic. Highly recommended,
They open late I love their young chow fried rice Food : 5/5
Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again, because it was delicious.
The general tso chicken was really soggy with way to much sauce. Basically soggy fried chicken soup. The noodles had no flavour. The sweet and sour sauce for the wontons was watered down. They forgot the dumplings.
Amazing prices & kind staff!!! <3 yummy food too, of course. Im genuinely so happy with my order.
This place is underrated, ordered here since they are open late and was quite surprised. Tasty with decent portions, probably the best Chinese takeout you can get from Young and Rosedale up to Young and Eglinton. VERDIC- I recommend
Do yourself a favour and order anything deep-fried or their authentic homemade dumplings!! A must try for sure. Truly one of the best high-quality lasting Chinese restaurants.
Hands down the worst food I have ever had. Noodles were still crunchy in 2 dishes, and the only thing you could taste was that it had been burned.
This is 100% my favourite Chinese restaurant in Toronto. It s hours are perfect for those of us who eat later in the day, and whether you go in to eat or order for delivery it s amazing. I haven t had a bad dish here and it s a nostalgic kind of yummy. My favourite dishes are: ginger beef, Cantonese chow mein, deep fried wontons, and beef & broccoli.
The worst food Ive ever had delivered. Truly disgusting. Shame on you and these fake reviewers. High quality? It was bland and probably microwaved.
Delicious food of the day. Quick service and also reasonable prices.
First time I tried it and it wasnt good. But so glad I came again! Wow has the new chef done wonders! Cant wait to try the whole menu
Food here requires a disclosure Eat at your own risk. The shumai meat might be rat meat. When I asked the staff to eat it, they refused. Health Canada please send inspectors.
Soup dumplings really good
This place just opened up around the corner from us a few weeks ago, so we ordered a couple of basic dishes and spring rolls for dinner. Everything was great! Probably the least greasy Chinese food I ve had and everything tasted really fresh.
Delicious food, generous portions! The restaurant was empty when we went, it was too silent and felt a little awkward, could be nice if there was some music to have some ambiance.
Just opened near me. First swing with this place and I found the food to be excellent. Fresh, tasty, well prepared. There is talent in the kitchen. Eat in? Better to take out. I will pick up there again!! Make sure they put condiments I.e plum/soy/mustard in the bag. Good value.
Ordered on UberEats, great new place in the area. The food was very good and will order again.
Order from Uber eat, very unsatisfied. The pork belly is cutting too thick and not tender. The real braised pork belly with preserved vegetable should be melt in you mouth, you don even need to chew it. And the muo-shu pork? It s not even muo-shu pork. The real muo-shu pork includes cucumber, carrot, agaric and pork. But what s this? Cabbage? Onion? Take a look at the your picture in the Uber eat. Shame on you. I feel I was cheated, never come back again. update in 5:30 Nov 18th the restaurant just withdraw their muo shu pork s picture on the Uber eat. Next time, please upload your own dish s photo.
Rice was EXCELLENT. The black bean sauce was not what I expected and kinda watery but it still tasted fine. Food was fresh and delicious. Will order again
