Chef Mustafa in Toronto

The food wasnt as good as before and the waiter girl isnt friendly. I doubt she knows English. The bread of the mezze platter was cold. As well, iskender wasnt fresh and it came cold as well. This place was much much better. It was my 5th and last time.

Absolutely terrific lunch experience. Healthy and tasty. Very generous portions. The lentil soup is a must.

We ordered the kebab with rice Through Uber eats it was the worst kebab and rice. Rice is very hard you could not even eat it so please guys be aware of what they are sending you to your home

Biggest disappointment was when I asked for check. Waitress brought card machine prekeyed. I added tip 18% and asked for a copy. To my amazement she had added almost $10.00 for God knows what. NEVER EVER COMING BACK AND PATRONS SHOULD TAKE HEED FOR THIS DIABOLICAL SCHEME.

This place is a hidden gem!!! The food is AMAZING! We got the beef donor and chicken shish which were delicious. But my favourite is the Lahmacun so flavourful and probably one of my favourite restaurant dishes of all time. we come here regularly and it s great with the family as dishes are easy to share and big portions too. We had lots leftover. And the staff are very friendly too!

It s awful that you think that this is a reasonable time of night to do so because you back onto a residential area. While I ve dined at your restaurant before the food has always been subpar. This is my third visit to Chef Mustafa and first time at lunch. It is a nice and airy space but we were the only ones there. I asked for them to pack half my plate in advance which they did very nicely - the portions can cover two people easily. I had the same dish I always get - the beef iskende r - but it wasn t as good as usual. This is why I knocked a star off

Food was generally mediocre and overpriced. Unfortunately, its not the place for authentic turkish cuisine as you wont get the true experience. Lamb shank was dry. Adana kebab was not grilled properly and very thin. Rice was probably one of the worst that I have tested in decades.

Had the beef doner meal. Big helpings, and tasty enough. #12 on the menu. My son had a mixed pide which he quite liked - #24 on the menu. We had a dumping dish - # 7 on the menu. Honestly kind of uninspiring. Wasnt wild about the music, mostly because I found it intrusive. Servers were pleasant. Attractive restaurant with potential. Meals just need to be more interesting.

The waiter was very rude. They said they could only give us one double and one single. So we canceled the orders and went to the Greek restaurant next to it. If you dont want to get customers, close it. Who do you think you are, a restaurant in the Michelin guide or something? I dont understand why it is one of the first places visited by the Turkish community in Toronto and why it is so popular. Because they definitely dont deserve it. I dont recommend it at all. Give the money you would give to a restaurant to homeless people, they are more polite.

We ate very well there, the lamb was tender and fragrant.

Bad service- wouldnt say rude but sure they dont care if the customer is happy and moderate food. Also they dont have changing table for babies in their washroom. Needs some upgrade I guess.

Chef Mustafa is a hidden gem on the Danforth! Although it might be easy to miss, its definitely worth finding. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. We had the eggplant puree, mixed grill, meat pide, and the grilled sea beam fish. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious, hitting the spot perfectly. Highly recommend this place for an authentic Turkish dining experience! Will definitely come back!

This review focuses on the customer service experience. My girlfriends and I wanted to enjoy a nice lunch on Canada Day, but unfortunately, the service was very poor. We were not given any water while we reviewed the menu. We had to ask three times or use our own bottle of water. They couldn t bring the correct amount of cutlery at once. We had to ask multiple times for a missing knife or fork. Whenever we asked for basic items to be brought to the table, the servers responded with an attitude. Throughout the entire meal, they did not check on us at all. I hope the team can be trained properly to ensure better customer service in the future.

An Amazing Experience! We discovered this wonderful Turkish restaurant last weekend and were amazed! The taste, presentation and service quality of the food were truly impressive. Especially his sausage pita and beyti were great. The appetizers were fresh and diverse; hummus, tzatziki and ezme were among our favorites. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very pleasant and relaxing. The traditional Turkish decoration and warm atmosphere doubled our dining pleasure. The staff was very kind and attentive, they met our every need immediately and gave detailed information about the dishes. For dessert we tried baklava and kunefe, both were excellent. The tea served with the desserts truly reflected Turkish hospitality. We will definitely visit again and recommend it to everyone. This restaurant represents Turkish cuisine at its best and deserves 5 stars! ---

Chef Moustafa is great Turkish food! All of the pide and kebab are delicious, as are the appetizers. Try the Manti and the feta rolls! Can get a little noisy inside, but the patio is awesome in the summer.

I went to Istanbul Turkey in 2022/23, and the food there was okay. I never thought I d find a restaurant where by the food would hit the charts in my book! This restaurant is by far the best of the best! The food is exceptionally delicious! The lentil soup is so delicious even Istanbul doesn t make it that way. The beef doner meal and salad is yummy and so is everything else. The workers, boss are awesome and welcoming. This is a hidden gem. Please if you want to go see for yourself please do, and do not forget to rate them a 5 star. If I could give them a 20 star I would that s why Im writing this review. Will definitely be back with family and friends!

We went to this restaurant before with a great an experience. But order food for delivery, was a disaster, everything came in a one small paper container even packed upside down. Portion was smaller compared with our last visit to the restaurant. Very disappointed.

I visited the restaurant alone. In fact, the food is very, very delicious, and the service is also very excellent, and the interior seating is very elegant. I will visit the place again with my family. It is really worth a visit.

Great food and ambience. Tried the kebab platter. Perfectly cook. You should also try their mini dumplings. Yumm. If you drink alcohol the Raki is a must try.

The atmosphere and service were very good. Ayran was not ready and it was good. I ate Adana and I can say that its taste is 3.5 out of 5. However, the Iskender doner was cut very small and the most important sauce of Iskender was the most unlike Iskender among the things we ate Try it if you are craving it, you will understand what we mean

Pide was taste like home made , not kind a Turkish Restaurant pide , I paid around 48 cad in total which seemed expensive. For me the appropriate price would be 25 maximum for these. But the sütlaç was nice. Food

Nice Turkish Restaurant in Greek Town, flavourful food and ample portions. Suitable for casual lunch or fancy dinner.

When we went there just two customers were there and eating. We ordered food and waited more than 30 minutes to get a wet Pide without any herbs or pickles on the side, even not a a sauce on the table to force the food down with it. Glass of water empty and servers did care to fill up just checking their hand watches and wants to get rid of us and still more than 40 minutes left to closing time. One of the jokes and worst experiences I had and not going bad. Also not recommending at all.

I got delivery and it was all delicious. The dips were fresh and unique. The assorted pide was so fresh and the meat toppings had lots of flavour. I think the pide shouldnt be sliced and placed on top of each other though because the cheese melts and its a mess. Wished it was just flat a bigger box or separated with wax paper. Delicious though. Would definitely order again. The smoked eggplant dip was awesome. The flat bread thats thinner than a tortilla is so delicate and beautifully made. We also had the tomato and beef kebab casserole type dish. It was homecooked style food with great flavours. Im excited to try more dishes.

Food came late and service is very poor. We asked for hot sauce or taszki sauce non of them were cared.

We decided to come to eat at Chef Mustafa through word of mouth, (Dec 30th 6pm) we were told the food and service was amazing. Unfortunately this wasn t the case. I don t know if it s because we came with children or maybe the waiter was having a bad day. But our waiter (dark brown hair and short slight beard) was very negligent, my aunt, who was paying the bill, asked for hot sauce twice initially and was ignored and the second time, she mentioned can we get hot sauce and maybe some tzatziki or something as none of the meals came with any garlic sauce or labneh (we ordered three entrees and 1 doner meal to go). The second time she asked, he slightly flared up at her and said my friend is coming, okay!? As in, the other waiter is coming with the sauce. I was so surprised he spoke that way to her and also we would have paid for the labneh or tzatziki or whatever sauces they serve if it didn t come with the meals, but he didn t even offer it as an option, he also didn t even bring the hot sauce, or if they didn t have any available, didn t say we don t serve that. Very disappointing, was uncomfortable through that meal for sure. Chef Mustafa, your values might not align with your staff member s behaviour, but your waiters and waitresses are your first point of contact for us customers. Will not be coming back or recommending this restaurant to others. I have been eating at restaurants on the Danforth for years, this is one of my worst experiences so far.

I called and made reservations fo 6 people. When we arrived on the hour and the day of reservation the restaurant was closed. Called the restaurant and wanted to know what happened. They gave no reason and no apologies. They said , we have decided to close the restaurant for that day, Mam . The owner did not inform us and did not apologise. Just be careful when you do reserve with this restaurant.

This restaurant has great Turkish food. They have a great variety of authentic Turkish cuisine. Their staff are very nice and welcoming. We felt very welcomed having dinner there as a family.

Wife and I were looking for a vegan Greek cuisine experience on Danforth, as after the Pape Village Festival it left us hungry, as there everything was catered for animal abusers omnivores. We were offered a menu by a kind server John, after we stopped for a moment to look at their menu. We decided to stay, as why not to give it a try, as we were sure that Turkish cuisine will provide us definitely some vegetable dishes. Their menu is really easy and simple with photos, plant-based options are clear, and prices okay. We wanted to try several of their dips and fries. So we asked the server to see if the chef would make us a special tray with a little bit of something. What we received blew our minds - one dip and fries we ordered, plus two dips with special greetings from the chef! WOW! We were so happy and we really enjoyed the food. MIND BLOWING! I ve been intrigued by the resto since we would always pass by. My husband and I finally went (on my birthday) and it did not disappoint. We love Turkish food and everything was freshly made and well seasoned. We tried the eggplant dip and the mixed kebab platter and really enjoyed it. And the flat bread that came with meal was also super thin, soft, and delicious! The waitress also overheard it was my birthday and brought my dessert with a candle and played Happy Birthday without us even asking. Super sweet of her :) I highly recommend this place!
