One of my Turkish friends reffered me here and for the last about three years, I have went so many times and always liked their food, highly recommend

It s my favorite restaurant in Toronto, if you wanna enjoy your meal, don t miss this location.

Huge shout out to Selin for the best customer service in this whole area. The food is absolutely incredible no matter what you get. The quality is unmatched and I ll definitely recommend to family and friends. Thank you once again for making us feel at home here at Galata.

Ok so I am almost afraid to disclose this because I feel selfish and I should keep this place my secret but it would be unfair to this location. One word, WOW!! If I could give them 100 stars I would. Food was amazing, full of flavour yet light. So fresh and delicious. This is my favourite location moving forward. Definitely recommend this location and I regret not taking pics but when I come back next time I will post the pictures. Parking: You can park no issue at all and parking is cheap

Everything from the service and staff, to the food and look of the restaurant was phenomenal. They give generous portions, and a lot of options to choose from. Whether youve had Turkish food before or not, I would highly recommend. A lot of healthy fresh food, and a very nice restaurant overall!

Used to loveee this place, and it s still decent, but the food and the service have both fallen off quite a bit. The bread is not fresh anymore, the food doesn t come pipping hot, and the service is probably fallen off the most from when I first went there (but they are always nice about it). If you re in the neighbourhood, I would still recommend people to check it out, but improvements can be made by the owners to train staff better and get the food quality back to the standards of a few years ago.

The food is delicious. The people are friendly and welcoming and it s feels exactly how it should feel in a Turkish restaurant. It s big space so maybe not as cozy as a small place would be but that s because you should be there with a large group or a few people and having the delicious grilled meats and starters and fresh bread and I can go on and on. Love this place. And the cai is good and strong for the end of the meal. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access with a ramp and very open to navigate.

I came in to Galata with my husband and my parents about a week ago and had a great experience. My parents aren t always easily impressed and loved the food. Definitely will not be my last visit. Thanks again!

Great for groups. $100 can feed 6-7 people. Solid value. Tasty bbqed meats. English skills were more limited so we had to repeat ourselves a few times on the orders. Edit: came back a year later. Lamb, chicken and beef donair is delicious

This is the best Turkish restaurant in town! We enjoyed their famous mixed döner (chicken and beef) with fries, which came with numerous side dishes. We also had complimentary tea. Nehir provided excellent service, making our meal even better.

Our meals were quite good but one of the staff smoking just outside the open doors made place pretty smoky. Put a damper on the atmosphere.

Amazing quality food for a great price! Our favorite. Everything is delicious. We normally get the beef Doner wrap and they do it with their fresh in-house bread, and The beef is soo tender and tasty we can t get enough. The Mediterranean salad is top notch too. We always make a point to visit when we are in the area. The complimentary tea is a Turkish tradition and a chef s kiss

We are confused by the reviews that state portions are very generous because what we were served was very small. Kebabs portions do not compare to other places, especially for the premium price point they are charging at Galata. Also, we are not sure if the server we got for half our service was in training, but they were not clear on which dishes were brought to the table and the bread was forgotten, and also served cold. We found the communication difficult and were expecting fresher food, and fuller plates. Half the plate is a salad, and the kebab pieces are small portions - barely and chicken and the beef was very salty.

One of the best as always

Absolutely delicious. I am a Beyti kebab lover and have tried it across the GTA in almost every Turkish restaurant. This is definitely up there and always hits the spot. Pide is one of the longest compared to any other restaurant and definitely recommend the sujuk one!

Stopped by for lunch while on the road. I saw that they had falafel which is one of my favorites. It was very tasty and fresh. The service was great and the complimentary tea was amazing. Vegetarian options: Falafel

The service of this restaurant is very bad, the employees and the boss are extremely disrespectful, it is not worth a penny for me.

If you want to protect your stomach and mental health, stay away from this restaurant. The taste of the food is below average. The tables were dusty and there were stains on the cutlery. The staff and especially the restaurant owner are extremely rude. The municipality needs to inspect this shop urgently.

The food was fantastic! I had the Adana, which was out of this world. The service was excellent, and the food was brought to the table with little to no wait time. I will definitely go back!

We had a great breakfast here and will definitely try again. Food was 10/10, fresh bread and great coffee. Even side salad was great, flavourful and not just served as an after thought. Special thanks for cleanliness, not every place is kept as clean, particularly bathrooms. You can really tell when owners care, so will be back.

I really loved it here. The food is very delicious. I can say that I tried almost everything for a certain period of time. Soup, lahmacun, kebab, stuffed meatballs, döner. I cant say price performance because it is much higher than that. Great food and portioning for the price. Also, thank you to the staff. Nothing seeing something for $10.99 and getting the bill just to see it increase to $16 without anyone telling you that the menu is incorrect and everything is 30-40% more expensive. I feel like this place is extremely scammy and will never return.

I used to love coming to this place but in the past year the quality has gone down. The few times I ve ordered they always forget something. Recently, I ordered hummus and they forgot to pack it. Everything had opened and leaked in the bag. Disappointed.

Definitely an underrated restaurant. Casual atmosphere for friends or families. Great tastes, friendly service and reasonable prices compared to many Turkish restaurants that are unnecessarily expensive. My suggestion to the business owner: They should change the wall colors. From the outside, it can sometimes be thought that it is closed due to the dark walls and poor lighting.

The food was excellent, massive portions, very good bang for your buck. I am a big eater and I could barely finish the chicken wrap, priced similarly to other kebab/ shawarma shops that often leave me hungry. Its nearly twice the size of some chain shawarma places, and tasted very fresh.

Saw this place and Wanted to give a try. I had double Adana wrap ; bread was very cold and not chewy at all.kebab itself was subpar.I would not return or even recommend this place.

The food is good, the place is sloppy, it wasnt nice to see all the staff and the kitchen... There is always a mess and hustle in the visible part.

No flavour! Over cooked chicken. The woman who took my order, didn t know which things were gluten free or dairy free. She also didn t know what tahini was . Think if you work somewhere you should know the basic food and menu. I would understand if it was her first day. It wasn t. Over priced! Osmows has the same food for a better price and better flavour.

Food is fantastic! Everyone is so kind who works there. We literally go once a week as our cheat meal, thats how good it is Thank you!

Been going there for 2yrs now, hands down the BEST Kunafee I have ever had in Toronto! Comes with complimentary Turkish tea. The staff is courteous, and the restaurant is always clean. Maybe they can play more classic/pop Turkish music instead of Western pop to go with the vibe! Parking: Parking on the inside streets in generally free for 2hr.

Placed an order for pick up by a family member, drinks were missing from the order, and the food was bland and ordinary, would have given 1 star but the salad was fresh and the food was packaged well.

Food is great, with amazing portion sizes. Typical Turkish restaurant which doesn t get too packed which is convenient. Servers tend to ignore you and cheap out on sauce however, so definitely expect to go for food and not service.

I took my elderly parents here for Mothers Day. The service was the worst Ive seen in a long time. Few examples: 1) I told the waitress we will be sharing the dishes we order. She brought the dishes we ordered but no serving spoon or plates for my parents and I to eat with. Instead, I had to make multiple trips to the cashier to get plates myself. 2) The waitress didnt check in on us after giving us our food - even when it was obvious we had finished eating. I had to go up and request the bill because no one was coming to our table. 3) After finishing our waters, no one came by to offer to refill them. I had to go up and request a refill. I will not be coming here again. I felt like I was the waitress for the table. The only positive I have is that all of the dishes we ordered tasted quite good. I would suggest if you still decide to go to this restaurant, sit at the bar where you can see your food getting made and where you should get your food right away as the bartender would likely serve it to you. Another point I want to share is that the carpets inside the restaurant looked dirty but the restaurant otherwise looked relatively clean.

I ve tried to give this place the benefit of doubt a few times as I ve heard so much about them but unfortunately my experience of each time that I ve visited this place have been the exact opposite of what I heard. First time I got the caesar salad the sauce was super sweet it tasted nothing like Caesar sauce, second time I made sure to mention 3 times that I want the salad with no sauce, but they gave me a salad with the exact sauce! Third time I got their chicken wings and mentioned no onion on the salad please but again they still put onion on my salad. Their chicken wings were terrible, it was completely burnt on the outside and raw inside. Last time I got their shish kebab and exact same experience as the chicken wings, the meat was burnt on the outside and completely raw inside that we couldn t even chew it! I really wanted to support them but it s just that they don t care about their customers and the food quality is really really poor.

A very good kebab, doner, pide, lahmacun place. Cooks are experienced in their expertise field. Pide and Lahmacun cook from Konya Turkey, grill cook from Diyarbakir Turkey. Pide, lahmacun are fantasic, thin and crispy flat bread with various delicious toppings, all very good. Could not taste the doner, which stood nice and in good shape in front of me but could not order due excess food on the table. I am sure it would be tasty. I will come here again. Kunefe and Turkish rice pudding weregood too..

We decided to grab dinner with a group of seven people in the evening. Our plan was simple: enjoy some delicious kebabs and then continue on with our outing. However, things took an unexpected turn after we placed our order. The restaurant staff asked us to switch tables to accommodate a larger group, which we understood. But once we settled at the new table, things started to go downhill. Despite telling us they would bring over our leftover drinks and glasses, they never followed through. The waitstaff and other employees seemed to lack any warmth or understanding. To make matters worse, it took a whole hour before they finally brought our kebabs, and they were served cold! What frustrated us even more was seeing other customers who came after us getting their orders well before ours. When we tried to discuss this with the staff, we were met with a dismissive attitude. And the payment process was just as frustrating. Although everyone wanted to pay separately for what they had consumed, they handed us a single bill. When we asked them to split the bill, they responded with an unhelpful and chilly demeanor, saying it couldnt be done. This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and I can confidently say it will be my last. If you want to avoid a disappointing experience and unpleasant interactions with the waitstaff, I strongly recommend considering other dining options!

Best lahmacun in Toronto

What a great place! A must try. Definitely the best Turkish restaurant in GTA, managed by the best people in the industry. The food was simply the yummiest Turkish food I ever had. Every dish was extremely delicious and the ingredients used were so fresh. All the meats are so juicy & tender. Aside from the stunning atmosphere and great food, I was very pleased with the service, it was quick and attentive. I Highly recommend this place and I would definitely like to come here again to try more things on the menu.

Great Turkish food! Reminds me of the best Turkish restaurants in Germany. The Adana Kebab was very flavourful and grilled on point, they even have the Turkish butter rice I love so much, none of the other Turkish places Ive been to in Toronto had that. Really authentic! The meze (appetizers) were also tasty and as expected. The salad was fresh, the pepper was hot and tasty and the bread was good too. Cant complain about the service either. And you get a complimentary black tea as it is customary in Turkish restaurants. The whole place looks nice and tidy, an actual restaurant and not just some small kebab place. With calm and tasteful piano music playing from the speakers. And at the same time its not even more expensive than the simple kebab places. Definitely gonna come here again!

Ive been to this restaurant twice now. I really enjoy the food. They cook their meats well, the Pide is also great! Its a nice, large, open space restaurant. Clean bathrooms. Patio. Ive noticed a difference at this Turkish restaurant, they dont offer Bulgar on their platters, just white rice. I must say I always look forward to the bulgar at Turkish restaurants, so it does feel missing. The staff is always really kind. Theyre just not always on the ball when it comes to bringing out extra requests, Ive had to ask multiple times or multiple people. Items such as drinks, or sauces, the appetizers... you sometimes have to wait on it and then remind the servers. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible to the inside and bathrooms.

The dips here are out of this world! Extremely fresh and a large variety are a great way to start a meal. The meat itself was sufficient but the dips were the main feature... Recommend trying.

The adana kebab was simply delicious! Love the lavash and grilled chilli pepper! I appreciate that the veggies in the salad were sliced finely. The proportion of pickled to fresh veggies was good, unlike at a lot of other Mediterranean restaurants where veggies are coarsely chopped and there are too many pickles. The only thing that could be improved is that the tomato served on the side was barely cooked, and it looked meant to be grilled. Based on other posts, it seems that some people managed to get a nicely grilled tomato while in other photos, it appeared raw, like the one I got.
