I had a great time at this Turkish restaurant! The food was really good, especially the baklava, so delicious. The guy who works there was amazing, so nice and welcoming. He made the whole experience even better. I really recommend this place for tasty food and great service!

Yummy, cozy and comfortable place for a casual meal! Juiciest chicken shish, flavourful beef doner, and great portions all around. We will be back!!

We wanted a quick bite to eat before a concert and we found this place close by. If we knew beforehand how great the place was, we would ve set a different time to visit. The food was delicious, well priced, and the service was impeccable! Despite how busy the gentleman was, with having multiple tables to serve and cooking himself, we were still served warmly and timely. I am so sorry again for rushing you, but we really enjoyed our visit in town especially because of the food. Thanks again!!

I used to order take out from this place and was pleasantly surprised when I moved into the neighbourhood that this place was right down the street. I come here often and the food is always fresh and delicious. Many great options on the menu, but I really enjoy the beef doner sandwich and the Lahmacun. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, can t recommend this place enough and you should definitely try it next time you re in riverside for dine in or order for take away.

We ordered Iskender, but it had a strange smell, and we couldn t eat it. When we mentioned it, they smelled it themselves and simply said that the sauce had gone bad. Although they removed it from the bill, there was no compensatory service. The lahmacun was thick, the dough was undercooked, and it was made spicy without asking.

Delicious food and amazing service!

I had a beef donair, and it was perfection. It was huge. You would not be leaving hungry. The atmosphere in the restaurant is beautiful and great service.

Went here because of the high ratings. I got the Adana kebab for takeout - the taste was average at best. Not amazing but also not terrible. However, the price is really expensive for the quantity and taste - cost me $24 for a serving of Adana Kebab (2 pieces) w/ rice, tomato, chilli and bread. Usually Turkish places that I ve been to around the GTA - the same dish costs around $18-20 for larger servings and better taste. Maybe it would be better experience if I went for a dine-in experience. Will try it again and if it s a different experience will update my review!

Beautiful outdoor patio and great service, but the food didnt stand out to us. It took quite a while to get food on the table, although there was only one other table occupied at dinner time. We just munched on the bread at the table to try and appease our hunger. When food finally came out, it fell quite short of our expectations in terms of authenticity.

Popped in for the first time and got a falafel pita to go. The falafel itself had good flavour and was a nice, crispy texture (not overly crispy, just right). Was almost $15 but quite big. Would recommend.

I came into town for my series premiere on CBC, and I thought I would give this restaurant a go! Honestly, I was really impressed by the PUNCH of flavour with the beef donair; it was sweet, savoury, and touch sour (in all the right ways), and had some heat (beware, you might want to ask for less spice if you re not into that). Finish it off with an orange soda, and I know I ll be coming back! The kitchen is hot, so it s great for indoor dining on cold days and they have a giant window that lets in fresh air on hot days! See you soon Kismet! (I m not getting paid for this, I just like representing tasty joints that deserve a little more love!)

Staff are amicable. When we were there, the place was cold we had to leave early, even before finishing our food. Portions are small and a little pricey compared to similar businesses.

This is our new favourite restaurant in town. We love the rotisserie chicken. It has a unique combination of spices and charcoal aroma and is roasted to perfect juiciness. And for the most reasonable price. We love the fresh soft doughy bread. The baklava is great - very fresh as if it had just been made. We highly recommend Kismet.

Very happy to have Kismet open in our neighbourhood! The food was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed the chicken doner and cheese pide and kunefe for dessert. Found another clean Turkish restaurant with amazing food. Staff (Turkish name translates to Mountain ) recommended the kofta and it was delicious. The food portion was filling and included 6 pieces of kafta/kofta kebab with bulgur and fries and came with bread and sauce (forgot it s name). Definitely will be returning regularly

The food was amazing. We all got doner wraps and the chicken was so flavorful it didn t need much sauce at all. Knafe for dessert was the best i ve had in a long time. Delicious and sweet, perfectly paired with black tea. I m in town for the weekend, but if i m ever back i ll definitely swing by.

The service is impeccable, at the end of the meal you are served with complimentary tea. They have a nice and calm back patio. However the food tastes nowhere similar to what you eat in Turkey. I had Lahmacun and it had a funny taste coming from the ground beef. My friend could not even finish the Kofta (meatball). The ezme and bread were great though.

The staff here is incredibly friendly. Really kind and offered tea. Ordered the chicken doner, cheese pide, and the kunafe for dessert. All in all the cheese pide was the best. The doner I felt was lacking as the meat inside felt cold. The complimentary bread to start was amazing. The kunafe dessert was a bit disappointing- felt a bit sweeter than others Ive had. So If Youre a Turkish Food Lover, here is not a good option for you! However theyre incredibly polite and kind full, but the food quality was not that we expected from a Turkish Restaurant in the Queen Street! The cheese of Cheese Pide has a bad taste! The Iskandar Kabab has not a good Doner on it and their bread which is the most important item on a Turkish cuisine was a very normal and not hot! Lahmacun was awful and after all, they didnt offer a complementary Tea to us!

We got here after 10 pm. Our server was upbeat and very hospitable. I was craving lentil soup and ordered it as an appetizer ,the kids wanted a cheese pide. We also got an iskender. My kids absolutely loved the pide , and I devoured that lentil soup. It was soo good. The iskender was very rich in flavour.The homemade yogurt had the right consistency, and the freshly made bread under the meat was just as delicious. This spot is such a hidden gem. After my meal I asked the chef about the meat , that was a long and healthy discussion , about different types of meat and the region they are brought up in. Great group.of guys who actually care about the food you eat. After our meal we just sat and looked out the window, with the kids, enjoying the summer night. if we didnt have out kids around we would have stayed longer enjoying more tea and ordering sweets. The atmosphere was very good, the host was very friendly and the food was very delicious.

When our group of 7 needed a last minute dinner place, we were welcomed here instantly. The service was very fast and so warm and welcoming! The food came out quickly and was hot and delicious! We were even given baklava to finish our meal. Would definitely recommend!

We ordered the chicken doner sandwich, a kebab wrap and a beef doner wrap. We all got combos (fries & a drink). Ingredients were fresh. The pita the sandwich (bread) was in was a little dry. And some of my fries were slightly over cooked. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The different seating areas were cute loved the bright and nature aesthetic throughout. We got to try cold baklava and it was amazing!!! Our server was very kind and offered to bring us tea at the end of our meal. Thank you so much!

The high reviews are well deserved. This place is delicious, very fairly priced, and the service is really lovely. They gave us an appetizer of Ezme (a beautiful spicy tomato salad/dip) with housemade flatbread on the house. The chicken kebab was extremely tender and tasty, and the cheese pide was crispy, salty and satisfying. There is a surprising lovely patio in the back though the main room lacks some ambiance. But prices are great, food is delicious and service is sweet. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Falafel, cheese pide.

We decided to dine here for a special date night because my husband, who is Turkish and was longing for the taste of home, wanted to support the local community. He had even brought a colleague here previously to introduce them to the cuisine, but unfortunately, they didnt enjoy it. Additionally, it was convenient for me as my workplace is in the neighborhood. Regrettably, our visit turned out to be a significant disappointment. The only highlight was the complimentary bread. We opted for a dinner tray for two, which promised a selection of various meats. However, the Adana kebab was dry and lacked cohesion, the chicken was both dry and devoid of flavor, and the beef cubes were overly tough. The kofte fell far short of our expectations. As we became aware of the foods disappointing quality, we attempted to cancel our order for the Kunefe dessert, but it was already in preparation. Our suspicions were confirmed when the dessert arrived without the expected cheesy goodness, and its bottom lacked the desired crispiness. It was an overall letdown. I had hoped to share an Instagram post showcasing the delightful cheese pull from the Kunefe, but unfortunately, there was no cheese to be found. On a positive note, the server provided good service throughout our meal.

I dont usually post reviews, but the pide was so terrible, I have to. My partner and I ordered a pide to share and it was inedible. The bread was dry, it seemed like the used fake cheese and the meet was tough. We had to throw it out. Im not a picky eater at all, but we couldnt stomach it.
