Wonderful food and amazing bar and bartender!

i went with my family and we had the loveliest time here. we ordered the vip fire tower for 4 and the manti. soooo delicious and the hummus at the top of the tower is amazing. you gotta park on the street tho :/

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sibel Turkish-Middle Eastern restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious every dish was perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of authentic flavors. From the rich, creamy hummus to the tender, flavorful kebabs, each bite was a delight. Ali and his staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their genuine hospitality added to the experience and made us feel truly welcomed. He is truly one of the best restaurant managers I ve ever seen. The modern yet cozy environment was another highlight. The decor strikes a perfect balance between contemporary design and Middle Eastern influences, creating a stylish and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Whether you re a fan of Turkish-Middle Eastern cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place won t disappoint!

One of the best restaurants in GTA

I initially had a disappointing experience at Sibel when I placed an order for pickup (2 lahmacuns and 1 Adana). The server who handled my order was rude and dismissive, even when I made a simple request to pack the lahmacuns separately to prevent them from getting soggy. When I arrived at the restaurant, her unprofessional attitude continued, and I felt disrespected as a customer. Thankfully, the chef, Halil, was incredibly kind and apologized for the servers behavior. He took the time to listen to me and made sure to let the manager know what had happened. I just received a call from the manager, Arshia, who personally apologized for the experience. His professionalism and sincerity completely turned around how I felt about the situation. It s clear that both he and Halil genuinely care about their customers and want to ensure the restaurant upholds high standards of service. The food at Sibel has always been good, and gestures of accountability like this from both the chef and the manager show a real commitment to improvement. Thank you, Halil and Arshia, for making things right!

First time here as I heard a lot about it, and we had to give it a try. Food was ok, however they forgot to bring one of our appetizers, their Turkish coffee was definitely not authentic and when we wanted to order desert they told us they only have a few items left. The place is nicely done and obvious they have spent a lot of money on but music is way way too loud for a dining restaurant and their lighting is like disco lights from the 70s which does gets you really annoyed as you re eating. Don t think I would go back unless they fix their lighting and their music which is so important for a restaurant. Vegetarian options: A few.

EDITED on Dec8/24 Came yesterday with my hubby and brought my mother for the first time. When hubby and I came when it first opened the food was seasoned and had salt. Yesterday the food changed. We waited so long for our order, my mom s dish of veal and lamb kabob with rice and bulgar had no flavour or salt. As a result my mother did not ear her food. My salmon was okay very pricy for $44 considering portion was small and sauce was very spicy that my body start the itch the next day. My hubbys food had the tomatoe sauce with veal and same thing no flavour. Spent $161 not satisfied. We asked for the manager and lady said he would not come. She tried her best to help us, not her fault. But at the end she rushed us to leave saying we need the table and then gave us change back and short changed us. She was right over my head watching me count the money and waiting for us to leave. Felt very disturbed by this. Very uncomfortable experience! Was waiting for this place to open, and glad it finally was. We were served by Osharia, he was very nice and generous. We were presented with delicious bread, hummus, feta cheese and butter that was complimentary. We then ordered the lentil soup, kubeh and mixed meat entree. I must say everything we had was super delicious Then we were served baklava on the house. Such a beautiful, clean restaurant with lovely kind and generous staff!. Will definitely be coming back! Please if you have not tried this place, please go and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed!

I have dined here with my family 3 times first time was ok second again not so bad experience 3 time was a total disaster food was horrible undercooked service was the worst I have seen in my life was Saturday evening waitress didn t pay any attention waited over an hour for food very very rude staff and at the end waitress tried to rip me off and short change me very very rude staff horrible experience I recommend never to go here unless you love being punished and ripped off be very very careful to stay far far away

Buyer beware! Nice atmosphere but Mediocre service drinks and food took too long waitresses were nice but didn t seem too used to interacting with non Turkish clientele. Pricey for the amount of food served the platter for 6 was more like an appetizer platter no salad, rice and definitely not enough meat for 6 people. Drinks prices were higher than listed in the menu. We spent over $700 and left unsatisfied.

Wasn t sure what to expect. But we were greeted with amazing service by the owner and our server and the bartender and it was smooth sailing from there. Incredibly attentive service. Genuine kindness from entire team. And the food . Wowza. Outstanding. Highly recommend. So thrilled to have this spot so close to home. Instant favourite.

Great restaurant. The decor has a classic yet modern feel. The food was delicious and high quality. Loved the green beans and yogurt dip. The chicken kebab was flavourful and tender. Wonderful atmosphere with a large screen of Istanbul, and live entertainment. Delicious and authentic. Mostly kebab style but a has some delicious veg only options that are outstanding.

Sibel has easily become a favourite, and we re looking forward to making it a regular spot in our dining routine! Thanks to Tannaz for introducing us to Sibel.

First and most importantly our server Samira was so lovely!!! And the food was absolutely outstanding. The mezze platter was outstanding. Don t miss the beet mutabbal. And the wood burning oven made bread/pita is to die for. Unbelievable . Sooooo good. Decor is gorgeous. Service awesome. We will 100% be back.

We visited Sibels Restaurant on November 2nd and were truly impressed with the authenticity of the Turkish food it tasted just like home. Samira provided exceptional service; she was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent, and all four of us enjoyed our meals and service. However, the music was less than ideal, feeling more disruptive than entertaining. I believe a change in musician could make the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Overall, a great experience, and we ll look forward to coming back!

The restaurant is amazing, however the servers are overly attentive. By that I mean in a two hr period we were approached by her or others about 6-7 times . Very polite however , that was abit much We had the feeling for sure that the table was needed and we had been there long enough Otherwise the food and the soloist performer was excellent.

Delicious dinner with an interesting presentation a tower of mixed dishes with authentic Iranian flavors, served by Iranian staff. Sometimes there s live music, though it can occasionally be a bit loud. Overall, it was a good experience.

Wow, we truly felt as though we had been transported to Istanbul. Don t be fooled by the website, the food is delicious and the interior is luxurious - would be the perfect space to host your next event. We ordered the VIP tower, it says that it serves 4, and it easily serves 6. The meats were cooked perfectly the theatrics were also an exciting part of the dinner experience. The food quality was decent, i wouldn t say the best turkish food i ve had , but definitely worth trying. Staff were attentive , friendly and polite , knowledgeable about the menu and they made good recommendations for us. The atmosphere itself was lovely, it wasn t so crowded which i liked , and the interior design was elegant and beautiful. In general i recommend this place.

Only reason the service was less than 5 ...they had a full house with my friends birthday group of 18 as well as all other tables were booked solid...including mine ..a table for three. The staff and manager were very pleasant and apologized for any wait .

The best breakfast ever

Generally mediocre and far too expensive for the quality. Service was also incredibly slow, there was probably a 20-30 min gap between us finishing our appetizers and getting our mains. The cold mezzes were great, especially the beet mutabal. Everything else was just ok. The mixed kebab is platter tasted alright but lacked any real flavour, there was barely any of that charred flavour you d expect. The pide was also pretty bland and the dough felt undercooked. I d expect to pay maximum 25-30 dollars per person for this quality and service, not 40-50.

Everything is fine, but if you come at a busy time, be aware that the kitchen service is late.

I have been at this cuisine twice for dinner and breakfast meals. The food quality was exceptional and staff were super friendly and attentive.

Very authentic Turkish food, we tried mix platter, and it was amazingly delicious. They invested a lot in the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant, it looks very fancy. The only thing is that platters are not really platters in terms of size and portions, keep that in mind when you order.

No words, also confused why you say bread is complementary but charge $5 for it ?? Never again.

Low quality food, poor customer service

Personally I found Sibel to Modern, bright, and the video of Turkey in the background was a nice touch. However, the volume of the music was somewhat loud for my preference. As for the menu I would have liked to have seen more fish alternative options. Overall, I found the food To be very good. The lamb and steak were very tender as well the garlic and various other spices did not overshadow the taste of the meat. I would go again.

The Hostess is a young Blonde Beauty from Severn Trent Canal & I asked about the meal of the day & She gladly showed me the Menu - All hands on Deck very Classical Turkish Dinning! We just finished one of the best brunches we ve had in a long time in Toronto. This is our first Turkish restaurant experience, and it was exceptional. My wife and I had the Turkish Rustic breakfast. Not only was it delicious, but the vast array of dishes and varied tastes was almost overwhelming(in a good way ). I consumed enough food to carry me through till tomorrow! The unlimited Turkish coffee was a treat. The decor and attention to detail was meticulous, and the service was exceptional !!! Excellent experience and worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though this place has just opened, I leave satisfied when I visit. I went with my two children and it was good in terms of food, conversation and taste. The environment is nice, the surroundings are clean and the place is carefully furnished. Let me say that as much as a meal makes me happy, the employees are also very good and competent, they deserve 10 out of 10, they are friendly, thank you very much. It has a great atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Breakfast variety is plentiful. It is impossible to get up without being full. Went here for dinner with my family for a birthday celebration and thought the service, location and ambiance were top notch. The food was delicious, especially the lamb chops and veal fillet. The presentation was great. The price was probably 10% more than I thought it would be but it was worth it. Overall, we had a great time there.

It was exellent experience with that outstanding service becauce they recommend the greatest option and they meet the needs of everything which we want . We went for a family member s birthday. It was wonderful. We live in the area, so we love the new addition to Lawrence Park. Food was amazing. We had tons of meze, the Adana kebap and the turkish pizza (lahmacun) all delicious. Just as delicious as back home in Istanbul. Also, the restaurant is beautifully decorated! Would highly recommend if you re looking for a taste of Istanbul!

A high end Turkish restaurant, in a good location with roadside parking in front. The decor and ambience of the place is very good. The variety of dishes and tastes are excellent. All the dishes are well presented and served in good crockery. we ordered fish, meat and chops and various starters and trileche as dessert. Every dish was perfect as expected. I can totally recommend this place for the best dining experience. We would also like to thank Sevin and Narmin who served us. everything was very nice.

We had Narmin today and she was absolutely fantastic. We had a service dog with us and she was incredibly gracious and provided us with a lovely table in the corner that accommodated our entire party as well as the dog. The food was lovely and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere. This is a fantastic restaurant if you enjoy lovely thoughtful service with and delicious Greek food.

Few restaurants on this neighborhood offer the quality of food and service Sibel boasts. Thank you again for a fantastic meal. Well be back.

We came to this place for lunch on the patio because it had great reviews. And boy are they justified. Well presented and delicious food, great size portions and a beautiful vibe inside and out. Family owned and they are clearly proud of it, as they should be. Highlights are: the Pide dishes. They are huge and taste as good as they look. We also had the chicken kebab, which was juicy and tender and served on a bed of equally tasty bulgar. The vine leaf rolls were an unexpected delight as well. It s clear that the kitchen takes great pride in their craft, as the ingredients were fresh, the flavors well-balanced, and the portion sizes generous. The atmosphere of the restaurant also deserves special mention cozy, inviting, and perfect for both a casual meal or a special occasion. The ambiance really enhanced the overall experience. Great ambience, friendly and patient staff with great Turkish food. I really suggest trying this place. Have some live music during dinner time as well. Also the patio is great for traditional Turkish breakfast.

One of the best Turkish restaurants with great food

Excellent Turkish dishes, live piano music, a very attentive service! A dinner for four plus a child is worth some 270 dollars. You can also drink your own wine for 40 dollars fee. As the adjacent parking space is small, you can use a municipal parking nearby for 5 dollars from 6 p.m.

The food was decent, but the service needs improvement. Our hostess was very nice and our water was filled regularly, but those were the only positives. Please dont assume that customers who dont look like theyre from your community are unfamiliar with Middle Eastern food. We dont need to be educated, and it came across as quite dismissive. The restaurant also seemed to be understaffed so it was hard to get help when needed. Overall, we had an okay time, but we were very disappointed by the service.

Food was very good and restaurant has nice decor. Music was too loud which affected the atmosphere. There were a lot of staff though they seemed to stand around a lot. They were very good with refilling water however the table was left quite messy for a while with dirty dishes sitting there.

The service, particularly from Deniz and Narmin, was exceptional and truly enhanced my dining experience. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Sibel. The bar and seating area are modern and inviting. Our waiter Arshia was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The food was excellent and was served by the owner/chef who gave full guarantee on quality. Everything was perfect and we will definitely return.

This is absolutely one of the restaurants to visit if you like Turkish food. The service was excellent, and Feyza Hanim was incredibly helpful. Chef Arash hosted us in a traditional Turkish manner that we had missed dearly.

What a great restaurant. Truly enjoyed everything we tried. Right down to the dessert and Turkish coffee. I was treated so have no idea of the cost.

What a fantastic experience. First of all, the place is magnificent. First class. Attention to every detail. Great service. Water glasses never dry. Menu is incredible. Too many choices. We shared 3 appetizers. And the hot fresh baked bread loaves kept coming. Mains / Kebobs and house specials unique and flavourful. No wonder all our friends and neighbours are raving. And coming back again and again. Avenue Road just got that much better as a result of SIBEL opening here.

What an incredible place. Seven made our night incredible. What a feast and and a beautiful experience. Surprisingly, the tea was also a perfect finish for our meal. Would come again any time.
