Buddha’s Vegan Restaurant is one of Toronto’s earliest Asian Vegan Restaurant. We adhere to a goal of serving tasty, healthy and plant-based cuisines. We believe that eating healthy is not only good for our body but also for our mind since a peaceful mind comes from a tranquil body; thus, Buddha's Vegan Restaurant is trying to connect people to a compassionate and pleasant lifestyle.
Since 1991 Sammy and Co. has been busting down some authentic vegan-based Chinese food. Check out below for the entire menu (almost). Highly recommend the duck, yum!
We love coming here for great vegan food with gluten free options. It’s fresh and flavourful with great portions for the price.
Buddha's Vegan is the kind of place Toronto needs more of: clean, honest food at an affordable price within the core. I had the black bean noodles with (mock) beef and the seaweed soup. The meal came out to under $25 including tax and tip, service was quick and friendly and I didn't taste any MSG.
Got dinner for takeout during a visit to Toronto when wanting some vegan Chinese! Seems like an old school spot that’s been around & loved by locals for years! Take out was a breeze & everything was super fresh & delicious! The vegan general “chicken” was amazing! Battered perfectly with fresh veggies & a nice sauce! We also got dumplings that came out crispy & had well seasoned veggies & mock meat inside!
Stopped in during a visit to Toronto and what a lovely old school restaurant with amazing owner and staff. We got greeted with a smile and served joyfully. For starters we had dumplings and spring rolls with pineapple sauce which were very tasty. For mains we started with veggie beef black bean sauce noodles for this dish only compliant is I would change up the veggies unsure if I can but I’ll ask next time I go. We ended the meal with lemon veggie chicken so good. Also can’t beat the prices.
This place is much bigger than it looks! From the outside it appears to be a smaller restaurant that sits maybe 10 people, however upon being directed to our seat we were brought through the back to a whole entire section. The restaurant is your typical Chinese fare but with a vegan twist. As a non-vegan the flavours were all on par to what I am used to - which was an absolute delight! I ordered the fried Vermicelli with ‘Shrimp’ and Curry: Flavourful, large portions and came out piping hot. I wouldn’t sworn there was meat in there had I not know better. If you’re looking for a fancy restaurant this isn’t the place. If you’re looking for authentic food with a vegan twist to it please don’t walk past this place!
This is a wonderful vegan restaurant that serves Chinese inspired vegetarian dishes. I ordered the sweet corn and tofu soup along with the Buddha’s deluxe plate that consists of tofu and assorted vegetables and mushrooms. All the items were fresh and delicious. The owner/server was very friendly and professional. My meal was served promptly and the portion sizes were generous and price reasonable. The restaurant has a casual laid back ambience. A complimentary serving of tea is included with meals. I highly recommend this restaurant to those that enjoy tasty and reasonably priced vegetarian cuisine.
one of the BEST vegan restaurants in the city. Consistently delicious. I always order a vegetable fried rice, general Tao Chicken, and kung pao chicken and am never disappointed. Quality food and generous portions. 12/10 recommend!
Best vegan restaurant. All menu is vegan Hong Kong Style Vegetarian options: All menu Food : 5/5 |
The food awesome and service. I love this place!
Staff is nice. Service is fast. But food is very plain and has no taste.
One of my all-time favourite restaurants in Toronto. I come here all the time and the staff are the sweetest people. I ordered #72 (wolf berries and bean curd with seasonal green) and #40 (fried vermicelli Singapore style) for a quick bite and it was delicious as always. They are so accommodating to whatever diet Im trying, haha. Theyre the best!
First time here, got a bunch of food. Good service and food tasted alright for being vegan
The food and service here is amazing! Best vegan place that Ive been in Toronto.
Torontos quintessential vegan place.
Great food and good service. Been coming here for over 20 years before these owners took over 15+ years ago, love their hot sauce and imitation duck.
Staff friendly and courtesies outstanding, food was excellent and atmosphere was
Amazing food at great prices with really friendly service. One of the best vegan restaurants in the city. Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options
Simply Loved everything that I ate here
Great vegan cuisine and excellent staff. Really amazing, many thanks Food
Tasty food, enormous portions (one is MORE THAN enough for two people), very friendly and welcoming staff. The inside interior is very simple but clean. Good prices!
Buddas vegan is such a good place to converse. Love going here anytime of the season to look hang around or window shop theres always new things to see. Definitely will go again with friends and family for the festivities. Again love the service and friendly environment this location has to offer. Been going here since I was a kid I remember visiting my grandfather at the hospital and we just went back and Fourth for lunch and dinner at this restaurant wasnt good memories but it was a special one. They all know my aunt as the plant lady its so funny .
This food used to be ok but now they use cheap meat substitutes that are tasteless like sponges. It s terrible however the reason I m writing this is that we (my guest and I) both got food poisoning from our order. Mine has persisted for several weeks. I contacted them by email just to politely let them know and no one even responded. Terrible.
havnt been here in like 15yrs? still the same gem its always been!
Im really deeply sad that I probably wont have the opportunity to eat here again in my life. The meal was so incredibly delicious - perfectly seasoned and the texture of the beef was crispy and juicy at the same time. The service was outstanding and super warm. If I ever have the chance to travel to Canada/Toronto again, this place will be at the top of the list. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan
Great for vegetarians and vegans. Very tasty food. Has no onion, no garlic options too. Id recommend the Kung pao dish!
Great food with a full menu of delicious vegan options done Chinese style. I love the free chinese tea that comes right away to your table. Imitation duck is a must. Prices are reasonable. Vegetarian options: Fully vegan! Parking: There is free street parking behind the school across the street if you dont mind walking a bit
Hands down the best vegan spot in downtown Toronto. Portions are very fair for the price, great place to order a bunch with friends and share every bite. Food can within 10 minutes, very fast service and Sam was a great owner.
Very nice, very fun at the end of the meal, we get to sign names on the wall!!!
The general tao, dumplings and mushroom fried rice were delish. The service was amazing
It is the best vegan restaurant in town. My family has been going here for more than 34yrs. The price, the portion, the quality are unbeatable. I have moved out of town, tried so many veggie restaurants from west to east Toronto. The others were more expensive, hardly found any mushrooms, tofu or green vegetables in their dishes (main ingredients for veggie dishes) Buddha vegan, for years, never fail, I am always happy with the foods and service. It is worth to go hundreds km to have good foods. Vegetarian options: Like them all. Keep up with tofu, mushrooms and green veggie Dietary restrictions: Sauces (ex. Black bean etc ) may not be gluten free.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan Food
Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible, stairs at entrance Food
Wow, just wow.
Thank you very much to the boss. My family is in the hospital nearby. I forgot to bring my chopsticks. I asked the boss for three pairs of chopsticks. I will definitely eat with my family if I have the chance.
My favorite vegan restaurant, hands down. Lemon chicken, i crave it. I see it in my sleep. The owner is so loving and kind and funny. I love this place.
Food was great. Staff were great. Atmosphere was great.
Best vegan restaurant in Toronto! Its worth trying!! Very delicious!
Buddha s vegan is amazing! Sammi is the best and since discovering this hidden gem, I always order Singapore noodles every weekend. They don t use onion or garlic yet the food still has such great flavour! The portions are generous and the prices are more than fair. The atmosphere is warm and service is efficient. Highly recommend!!!
Fantastic vegan food with plenty of gluten free options. Highly recommend!
The place is cosy. The wait staff are friendly. The noodles were a miss with the kids. The food is good. The small soup is large and shareable. The food is shareable. Vegetarian options: No animal products.
Awesome tasty and filling. Ive
Brought friends from halifax did the Buddha fried noodle some kung pao chicken and bean curd wraps soooooo good. Friend said he would love to be able to FedEx it to halifax just so he can eat it
Amazing location amazing food
Food was the intersection of bland, odd flavors, and weak attention to detail. Was swayed by the tremendous reviews for this place. it turned out to be one of the worst tasting Chinese restaurants I have experienced for as long as I can remember. I simply can t comprehend the dissonance.
Had dumplings and Buddhas Delight with steamed rice. Incredible! Large portion for great price.
Very high quality vegan food.
This is my favourite vegan restaurant.
Simply the best! Love the Kung Pao dish
good enough
Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! When it comes to the Chinese New Years celebration, the only reason why I wouldnt come back is because of how overwhelmingly popular it gets, as their food is so delicious, you wont miss the meat. Sometimes I cant help but grab an order of their mock meat platter for takeout, featuring fried tofu skin and wheat gluten, marinated in a Chinese braise sauce, curry and char siu flavour. They also have this fire ginger fried rice thats a must try as well.
Great selection of vegan food and they are all so tasty. Vietnamese- Chinese style
The food was amazing, the menu had good selection, and the food came out very fast. Planning to come back soon!
Good food Great Service Food
Excellent place. Tasty vegan food. We got 2 dishes and 2 rices for 2 people. The man running the restaurant was super sweet. We got complimentary tea.
The food is always amazing!
A Toronto institution since the 80s! Great Hong Kong style vegan Chinese food, always great with generous portions. The layout of the place is odd, but it adds to the charm. It deserves an almost full 5 stars on all metrics here, but falls short due to lack of wheelchair accessibility. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: All vegan. I am a meat eater, but I still crave the food here (especially the vegan duck) Wheelchair accessibility: It is the only thing that this place lacks and why I cant give it a perfect score. I challenge the owners to come up with a solution to this issue.
A great find for tasty vegan dishes. Appreciated all the gluten free options! Wonderful service as well.
Worth the hype. The veggie shrimp and vegetable chowmein is one of the best I have ever had, vegan or not. I say this as a Chinese person whos ate chowmein growing up their entire life. The portions are above average, with generous helpings of gai lan, broccoli, carrot, tofu, shrimp and peppery vegan fish balls. Im pretty sure the tofu is housemade as its texture was not super uniform like your typical storebought variety, making it perfect to soak up all the delicious, not-super-oily sauce. I will say, the vegan seafood in this dish wasnt particularly mind-blowing, it didnt really have that seafood flavour, but its hard to emulate that taste generally in vegan food, the preparation and flavour more than makes up for it. I will definitely be back, cant wait to try all the other dishes.
Great place for vegan food and awesome staff!
Friendly, fast, affordable, healthy servings and of course absolutely delicious!
The Best Vegan Restaurant! Consistently delicious.
Big portions, nice staff and talented chef.
Excellent food at a good price
Absolutely amazing
Great food. Good portions. Try the sweet and sour!
Tried planta, Pai, Banjara, tons of vegan food in Toronto. All good - this place is the best. Unassuming atmosphere, BEST food, great portions. Can t post a photo because we ate it all.
This was our first time eating at a vegan restaurant. It s a very warm little restaurant where we are very well received by attentive staff. The food was tasty, very filling, and reasonably priced. On the other hand, we are not yet used to this meat which for us was not to our taste. Vegetarian options: All dishes on the menu are vegan
Food quality has gone down over the years. This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant. It didn t matter where I traveled in the world - I missed the food at the Buddha vegan restaurant. Over the decades I I ate here once a week. I don t know if it was taken over by a different owner around 2016, but the food just has never been the same and then it went further downhill over Covid. The food isn t as authentic, interesting, flavorful, abundant and overall great. I traveled two hours to get here today and the food was pretty bad. This will be the last visit to the restaurant.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. I highly recommend everyone go here and eat everything!
The service was unbelievably good. I would recommend! Lovely restaurant with great food. (:
The place is small and unassuming, but the food is excellent. My favorite dish was the chicken kung pao.
Absolutely lovvved the food! Authentic Chinese food made vegan?! Who would have thought that it would be so mind blowing! So affordable too.
The food and service were exceptional! Dont be deceived by the exterior. The menu is very extensive and everything is prepared fresh.
Food is absolutely incredible, the best vegan Chinese food I have ever had. A real hidden gem. Staff were friendly, the tea is incredible.
Khob khun ka ! Pretty yummy, delicious and really tasty fully VEGAN Thai food at knockout price and one of the best Ive had in the city. I was disappointed at the Thai Spice, which I wouldnt personally label more than mild and the vegan stir fried were good, but a lot of sauce, kinda drowning. The Stir Fried Green Beans with Soy Chop was phenomenal, solid delicious food and I wish I had ordered two of these instead! The Eggplants and Tofu in Black Bean Sauce was pretty awesome too, just lacking in portion size in my opinion. Incredible flavor, a very diverse menu with plenty of imitation vegan meat options which is made in house, love it! Cash-based deposit for payments FYI. Support local businesses!
Ordered the Buddha s chow mein and the General Tao s veggie chicken for takeout. Both were fresh and delicious, and generous portions. The waiter even offered to substitute regular chow mein noodles with rice noodles with no up-charge. The excellent fresh food and friendly staff get my highest recommendation. Well done!
so good , amazing food, amazing service
Everything was so good... the service, the food, and the price! We got the General Taos, Beef and Broccoli, Lemon Chicken, and fried rice with shrimp and chicken. The spring rolls are HUGE; one order comes with 2 and that is enough lol.
Ok, this is a diamond in the rough. Its been around for 30+ years, and the food is really good.. The menu will have duck and chicken, etc., but its entirely vegan. As a vegetarian, Ive had a hankering for General Tsos Chicken for... since I went vegetarian, and this place scratched the itch. Really great!
There are a thousand reviews already saying every praise I wanted to say. Try the kung pao chicken. Go vegan for the animals!
Amazing food all vegan and very affordable
The service is fast, the food is delicious, and the portions are enormous. I especially like #54 (Veggie shrimp and veggie chicken fried rice), #55 (Preserved olive leaves, ginger, and veggie chicken fried rice), and #69 (Stir-fried veggie shrimp with lotus roots and vegetables). Sam is passionate about his food, and he is always friendly and eager to please his customers.
The food was absolutely terrible. The noodles tasted like I took a spoonful of turmeric and ate it. The dumplings were burnt and had no flavour. I would highly recommend you avoid this place.
Amazing. Beautiful food, amazing taste. Great and friendly service that cares. Warm atmosphere thats cozy and intimate, not a lot of people and noise which is nice. And the vegan meat is 10/10!!!
This place is a gem. the beef with broccoli, taro rolls, crispy noodles, and dumpling soup were so savory and delicious. And the owner and Chef kept coming out to ensure that our food was satisfactory. What a great restaurant!
I always stop here when I m in Toronto. Great food, good prices for the portions, and very friendly staff!
Best vegan Chinese food I have ever had! We had kung pao chicken , green beans with soy chops, and eggplant and tofu Vegetarian options: Everything in here is vegan, so plenty options for vegetarians as well! Dietary restrictions: dairy free meals
Tried this place after seeing all the positive review but was very disappointed. The meat was way too greasy and plain, I don t eat meat and this reminded me of real meat which I wouldn t eat and it was disgusting. The chicken popcorn (305) was very plain and came without sauce, the sweet and sour rib (85) wasnt nutritious or healthy, and the rice noodles with veggie beef (31) was too much like meat. At the end I felt more bloated than full, I do not recommend. The free tea was good.
10/10!! Highly recommend!!
One of my all time favourites in Toronto, has been for years! They have a wide selection of vegan Chinese food, which is generally quite hard to find otherwise. Good prices & portion sizes too, every time I end up taking leftovers home. I ve taken a variety of friends here and everyone has loved it. Accessibility wise, there are a couple of steps required to get into the restaurant. Very friendly staff. Definitely check this place out!
Good food and great, friendly service!
Vegetarian options: All is vegan, fantastic Saitan/Tofu! Food
Great food, however, much to be desired in the back-of-house/service side of things. This restaurant also really needs to find a better location, or renovate their existing space. Great to have a vegan option in/around Chinatown! Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair accessibility; their only entrance is a set of stairs and a narrow hallway.
Tasty, large portions, so many choices!
Exceptional food. Great service!
I can t say enough good things about this place. They are wonderful. The best vegan Chinese in the city hands down. The staff are incredible. Very courteous and charming. 11/10 all around.
Honestly, not all that great. Tried this place after the amazing reviews, but I ve had better vegan Chinese in the city. Left a very artificial taste. Tried the kung pao and the general Tao s chicken, made me feel really heavy and not good after trying it out.
Best vegan restaurant in Toronto, it has step up their game in the last few months
Excellent Vegan food, really enjoy the food here every time we have the chance to come into TO from Halton Hills. Parking: A bit difficult to get parking, but if you are picking up the food and you are quick put on your red blinkers and run in.
If youre visiting Toronto, this is a must try restaurant. Food is phenomenal, owner and staff are very kind.
Very clean place Vegetarian options: All options are veggie Very large portions Food : 5/5 | Service
Literally best vegan Chinese food ever. My family has been coming here ever since I was a kid. The crispy chow mein noodles and the mock duck are my favourites
My absolute go-to spot for the last decade! Incredibly delicious well made food. Great prices and cozy atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Affordable and delicious vegan meals! The only thing I would really want is siracha and hoisin sauce as an option in the counter, because the food isnt spicy for spice lovers. Its good to order dishes and share amogst people to maximize which foods you try! Protip: bring cash!
This place is so good! I love that there are gluten free options. My favorite dish was the Buddhas feast. It was so flavorful and was absolutely delicious. However, in our opinion, the lemon chicken was a little too sweet and needed a more savory flavor.
Our favorite vegan restaurant in Toronto. The 67- Kung Pao is out of this world. Crispy Shrimp 83 is also amazing.
Best vegan Chinese Ive had
Its a small shop run by a husband and wife. They have some of the dishes you would expect to find at a Chinese restaurant, but its all vegan! I docked a star because a couple of the dishes we got (the mixed veg curry, the corn and tofu soup, and the mushroom mix with greens) were a bit light on flavor. However, the eggplant and tofu in black bean sauce with noodles was AWESOME! And the steak with vegetables over crispy noodles was great. And the fried rice with the fermented olive leaves was a favorite of ours too. Definitely recommend those three. Vegetarian options: The menu is entirely vegan
Literally the best vegan Chinese food in the city. Been going for over a decade and it still slaps.
Delicious food and great portion sizes! We had the beef and broccoli, fried rice noodle with veggie meat and satay sauce, general tao chicken, and sweet and sour veggie ribs and everything was fantastic. Highly recommend for eating in or takeout.
Its pretty good among vegetarian restaurants. The price is a bit more expensive than before, but its still OK.
Weve been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. The food is always great and staff are always sweet.
Chinese vegan food. We had the vegan drumsticks (delicious), eggplants & tofu in black Bean sauce (decent), vegan duck on crispy noodles (doesnt look very pretty but quite tasty). A very small restaurant with very friendly staff. Good Chinese vegan food. Maybe I had unreasonable high expectations after reading the reviews. The food was good but I would call amazing. Some dishes are worth going back for.
We tried vegetarian fried momo and they were amazing. The staff is very polite.
This place has great food. Always great!
The food was so good!
Friendly staff! Food is amazingly delicious.
This is one of the best vegan restaurant that I ve tried! The food is really good, flavours and taste are amazing! The owner is so nice and definitely if I come back to Toronto I ll be go here again!
Really but really good place and very good food
Excellent food, great speed of service (plus all the food was fresh). Good little place
Food was awesome. They have a large selection and the food portions are large. The hot and sour soup is packed with tofu and mushroom. Everything tasted perfect. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan!
Great food at a great price!
Nice food & huge portions
Had to log in specifically just to rave about this place. They say the best foods are served at the hole in wall places and this is proof. Service was good and food was better. They were out of the broccoli beef but everything else was outstanding. Im from Los Angeles and this is some of the best vegan food Ive had and without a doubt the best Asian vegan. Dont worry about the local and try this gem of a place.
Traditional vegetarian food, reasonably priced and delicious, you can come again
Incredible service, delicious food
Love the food here will come again
Reeeeeally good. It felt traditional, familiar, mom and pops kitchen feeling, small and cozy place, very fast service. Fantastic flavor had to visit a second time because it was so good and when I went back to Toronto I went for the third as first restaurant on my list. Is a must for sure.
Delicious food! Highly recommend
The bosss service is friendly and the food is fast and the portions are large. Vegetarian options: For Chinese people who are going abroad, this restaurant is a very authentic home-cooked restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: The first floor is easy to enter and exit without obstacles.
Very delicious vegetarian food. You can call in advance to reserve a table. The uncles and aunts are very enthusiastic, the food is served quickly, the portions are sufficient, and the blind spots will not be missed.
LOVE this place!! The servings are great, the variety is nice, and the people working here are very friendly! More of a takeout place than a dine-in but you can definitely eat there too. A must have if you like Chinese food and you re vegan!
Fast, friendly service and great food! We enjoyed everything we ate. Our favorites were the sausage, calamari, and lemon chicken. Would definitely eat here again!
Update Aug,2023: assorted gluten & bean curd, imitation ducks & vegetables on crispy noodle, 2 large orders imitation ducks(2 large pieces for each large order). Since i gave 2 stars about 2 yrs ago because the food was terrible & waited for the take out was ridiculous long. So today Apr 17, 2019 I was craving for the old Buddha taste, i want to give it one more try, this time i wasnt disappointed at all because this time the foods quantity and quality was just like the old Buddha taste but even better, the waiting for my take out food was just a bit more than 5 mins, not bad at all & the portions was generous. Im glad the owner finally got it right. Ill for sure go back more often from now on.
Unassuming, delicious, affordable, great service.
A quaint little establishment, somewhat hidden in plain sight. This homey feeling restaurant serves up deceptively large plates of tasty vegan takes on classic Asian and Asian-American dishes. As a meat eater myself, I thoroughly enjoyed their takes on tofu imitation chicken as well as their stir fried noodles. Despite the strong competition for vegan restaurants in the area, I would consider this a top choice if youre around the area.
The best vegan food in all of Toronto, yes you heard that right! Always a great deal too! Must try their sweet and sour
Admittedly, it doesnt have much atmosphere and you might consider takeout, but the food is delicious, the service is friendly and welcoming, the prices are quite affordable, and the place is meticulously clean.
We love Buddha s Vegan Restaurant so much. Great prices, large portions, and just so so so tasty.
The establishment was quite tiny, with only around 5 tables. I suggest opting for takeout instead. I placed my order for takeout over the phone. After picking it up and arriving home, I discovered a couple of mistakes. I had ordered fried bean curd but received fried tofu instead. Additionally, I requested the Buddha special noodle soup, but received crispy chow mein instead. I felt a bit disappointed, but the food itself was decent. It wasnt bad at all.
Cool hole in the wall with a nice menu. Got the Kung pao, a soup, and Buddhas delight. It was good but I was expecting a better Buddhas delight
IMO the best and most underrated vegan restaurant in Toronto...and all for a great price. So many options to choose from.
I don t know how but the food is just delicious, my only thing is that the popcorn chicken isn t in popcorn shape but I m also not complaining because it was even better as a strip . Also I highly recommend their pineapple sauce that comes with the dumplings, sweet but compliments the dumplings so well!
Favourite vegan restaurant in Toronto by far. Great servings at a decent price. Food is good. The mock duck is a highlight.
Best vegan General Tao I ve ever had!
Our favourite Chinese food place that just so happens to be vegetarian and with vegan options. If you like a casual, authentic, crowded and busy atmosphere with a genuinely happy and well meaning staff, this is the place for you. The best part? Their prices have not increased to the crazy obnoxious amounts that other restaurants have. Edit: Been back another half dozen times since my last review and still loving their food!
I have been here a handful of times and when I come to Toronto, this is my go to place. I love it so much. The food is absolutely amazing and the people that work here are so sweet. They sell their vegan food frozen too! Which is great for someone like myself that lives far away. If youre a vegan or vegetarian, I for sure recommend coming here as your first stop for some amazing food. Their chicken drumsticks are absolutely amazing.
the food was amazing and perfect for a rainy day to warm you up, the owners/servers were lovely. we managed to get a table but there are only about 5 tables so seating is not garunteed!
The tofu sheets (imitation duck) were the best Ive ever had. Mushrooms were juicy and cooked to perfection in the Mushrooms and Chinese greens dish yumm! Also tried eggplant with fried tofu in blackbean sauce, on rice noodles. Wonderful! Good sized portions also. I took the rest home and had 3-4 meals from these choices. Vegetarian options: They have veggie fish sauce for sale and also some frozen veggie to cook at home. Kid-friendliness: Sure Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible 3-4 steps at the door.
Vegetarian options: We had noodles with tofu and eggplants in black bean sauce plus the mock duck (yuba skin) fried crispy noodles. Both dishes are amazingly delicious; its a bit too much for two females but we gladly packed the leftover for next day lunch. Love this little gem at Kensington market, highly recommended you wont be disappointed!
Pretty big portions and the mock meat was really good ! Would recommend for a typical asian experience:) the highlight was the vegan shrimps and chicken fried rice. Ginger beef was also super yummy
Such a nice little spot. The food was delicious and the service was great. I ll be coming on a regular basis from now on!
Honestly didn t know what to expect walking in but everything was a 10/10. Everyone who works is super nice and the food tasted delicious! Highly recommend the Soy Beef dishes and the chicken fried rice :)
So good! Couldn t take a picture before we ate the rice! Yummy!
Its a Small place that will benefit from a refreshing. Nonetheless, the service is so friendly and the food taste is so good that you rapidly forget the surroundings.
I found my dish - Crispy Noodles with Mock Duck - mediocre. Not a very good blend of flavors, or much flavor at all. Itd be good for a person who needs a bland diet but for me it was lacking any excitement. The people who run the place are very nice and attentive so if youre just looking for a friendly place to eat this would do you fine.
They do everything so well
Absolutely top-notch chinese vegetarian. Legendary! Soups to heal your soul (or hangover)
BEST FOOD Ive had in my whole entire life! So good and fresh.
2 dishes, 28$, both of us full, food was really good, well prepared, grandmas came in to eat beside us - wherever grandmas eat out you know it has to be good. Suprised dine in is not busier, but lots of takeout happening though while we were there
Love this place.
Best chinese restaurant for vegans in the city
I loved it!! Especially the crispy tofu meals! But the most important here the Asian guy was so so niceee and the cutest person I ever have seen he was so cute and gentle and his energy made my day
I ve gotten takeout here a number of times. Food is amazing and portions are plentiful. Incredible spot downtown for good, hearty Chinese vegan food.
Great food and service.
Not a huge space but the food I mean so good
My wife and I visited here and were really impressed at the quality of the vegan food offered. It was some of the best Chinese food we had, period.
Huge and tasty vegetarian meals accompanied by jasmine tea. Great choice of dishes at a reasonable price. The service is kind and friendly as well.
March- I came here with my family for my sisters birthday and we had an entertaining waiter, young guy who told me his name is Kirby. Kirby would tell jokes and made sure our experience was great! He told me the trick to get more tips is to make sure the customer leaves with a smile so my dad gave Kirby a really good tip! Later in our meal we found Kirby washing dishes so he s a man who can do everything, you re awesome Kirby! Edit: I m sad that Kirby left but I do hope he s enjoying his life! Vegetarian options: It s all vegan so you re good Parking: Like everywhere in downtown, you ll have to pay Wheelchair accessibility: Small place without a ramp
Dishes are greasy but overall are not too bad. Added one extra + star for food because portion and reasonable price.
