I ordered a veggie burger and since they had run out of fries I ordered coleslaw on the side. The coleslaw was placed on my burger. Not on the side. When the manager saw my disappointment i told him why but he did nothing to fix it. Why would I pay for a side just to have the prep cook plop it on my burger??
I bought a Ceasars salad. I got spring mix (not romaine), croutons and some grated cheese (for almost $15 after tax). There was no bacon bits and virtually no dressing. I've added a photo of the bowl after eating. You can see no dressing anywhere in a virtually clean bowl.
Ordered the SHIITAKE TERIYAKI BURGER and it was dreadful. It's not like the picture. There were a few bits of mushroom and a huge amount of cabbage. It was basically a cabbage burger. I emailed the restaurant in Oakville and they wouldn't even respond. Stay away.
Should have read the reviews before trying this place. Believe me its empty and you have three servers working and still couldn’t get the order on time and good. 17 dollars worth of falafel wrap. Not heated toasted or anything. Really disappointed
I had a pretty disappointing experience here. I got the Aristotle bowl and it barely had any flavour, didn’t have any dressing, and the sweet potatoes were raw. The falafel was also extremely salty. Spend your 18$ somewhere else!
Delicious and creative vegetarian/vegan options. Definitely worth trying. They are a little on the expensive side relative to their competitors. Knowing that, I still go there from time to time because it’s so good.
Great food options; the bowls will cost you around $15, but the servings are quite large and filling. I am not a fan of mushrooms but got the shiitake teriyaki, which was delicious and tasted/looked like chicken! I am a big fan of this place and will come back!
I had not brown bagged that day and it so happened that I was extremely late for lunch. So around 3pm I venture out and within a short walking distance from my office I see this plant based takeout place in The Path. I see the picture of the Shitake Burger and my stomach growled. For about $11 including taxes I get a brown bag and rush back to the office. First impressions - did not look anywhere close to the picture in the store which luckily I had clicked. Aside from not looking as advertised I began to chow down. As you might relate to this - when you are starving anything you eat seems delicious; however it this case it was the opposite the burger missed the mark. My assumption was that there were pieces of fresh mushrooms, this tasted as soy mushroom processed pieces that I have tasted at Asian restaurants. This seemed run of the mill rather than the uniqueness I was hoping for. The toppings bothered me as well as it was too unflavoured. The over done bread/bun that didn't look like the picture wasn't helpful either.
Great vegan food . Love the Aristotle bowl . Portion size a bit small but tasty as always love love love
Rock in my brocoli Inadéquat amount of food for $20
Food is expensive and this location does not give you a good portion relative to others. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was $10 - nothing fancy - just egg bacon tomato. I was super excited about having a copper close by but this one only gives you 80% of what you would think a full portion is
Tried mushroom burger and fresh cut fries. It was okay. But felt heavy for a long time.
The items on the menu looks amazing, but the execution was poor. Fries were very soggy, coleslaw had way to many carrots, shiitakee burger was missing teriyaki flavor, and the wings were a disappointment. Spent $40 for lunch for 2 and was left unsatisfied.
I love this place! Great variety!! I usually have the breakfast options but I got a salad bowl with quinoa that was fantastic!! Extra point: they have many options for people that dont do Soy. Vegetarian options: Everything here is vegan!! Dietary restrictions: Everything is lactose free because its vegan and they have options for other food restrictions, like gluten free options.
Tacos Pura Vida were excellent ... not sure I would recommend the Buffalo wings which are listed as tofu but had a different flavor and texture like seitan.
Food delicious, really tasty! but looks like matcha wasn t mixed let me show you, pieces of tea were swimming around a cup, lol.
These guys were super friendly and accommodating! The food is top notch!
Amazing food as usual. Copper Branch never disappoints. Nice to see a plant based option in a food court. Conveniently located to downtown
Tried the Asian Fusion bowl and was very disappointed. The food is so bland, and theres zero flavour in their sauces. Ive had vegan food from other places which hit the mark, however I cant say the same about the food from Copper Branch.
Very satisfied with my meal. Ordered the Aristotle. Not too expensive, very delicious, healthy, and fresh.
Delicious as always.
Not worth the price. Small portions, the vegetables were bitter-- $22 for this was a joke.
I ve loved Copper Branch since their beginnings in Montreal. I d always head to the one on Maisonneuve and get a General Copper Bowl. I ve since moved to Toronto and ordered I ordered CB on Uber Eats for the first time today. I was bitterly disappointed. The food still tastes great but I barely got enough food to satisfy a child. The General Copper Bowl would typically be hearty with plenty of mushroom. As you can see from the picture, it barely covered the bottom of the box, and I ended up having to cook something at home afterwards. Not a great feeling spending over $20 on that. A major disappointment.
The Aristotle bowl and the teriyaki shiitake are A++ in my books. Such a great place to have downtown. Decided to write this review after finding myself daydreaming over the food again. Ill be coming back for sure!
great food! :)
Really kind and cheerful staff making delicious food. Everything tastes very good, we got our vegan breakfasts here during our holiday and enjoyed every item.
I ve had copper branch at non-food court locations before and they were much better. Not sure why the food tasted more soggy and bland here.
Love this place! Wish they were still in Vancouver.
$19 for a half filled box and not even fresh green broccoli and bitter tasting veggies. Absurd. Quantities used to be decent but no way Im coming back with both higher prices AND abysmal protein/portion size.
As a new Vegan, I was very excited about this place. First location I walked into the staff was rude & everything seemed overpriced. Gave it another try at another location, Nachos I ordered were small, mushy & had a horrible taste. The cookie I got was bland and so was the coffee, almost $4 for a small cup. Also, as I was leaving I noticed no cutlery or napkins were added, the team member then asked me if I wanted any? Emailed my concerns to head office & never heard back, disappointing...
Best vegan place I have been to. Pricey? Yes. But you pay for what you get after all.
Delicious food.
I tried the Tacos. It is so delicious. The combination of flavors and textures are perfect, The sour cream, guacamole, vegan chicken with other ingredients give a rich and palatable experience. It is a must to try!
The bowls are so good, fresh food and very nice crew
Im sorry to report that the meal I had at the Mississauga location is below acceptable - not fresh and, overall, not the quality I expected given the current overall Google rating.
First time eating at Copper Branch and was disappointed. Paid $15 for a bowl and got six small squares of tofu and six pieces of kimchi. Brown rice was poorly cooked and felt too grainy. Like it was brought off the cooker a few minutes too early. Sauce was not enough to cover everything, not even just the base.
Vegan restaurant with delicious burgers bowls and wraps. Love their burgers as they have different pattices which are not beyond meat. The black bean burger is flavourful and tasty.
The food is extremely delicious! I highly recommend it. Im only giving it 4 stars because they still use plastic utensils.
Poor customer service and generally unorganized. I was the only customer for about 5 minutes and didn t so much as have one of the 6 staff glance at me or offer to take an order. Sent me out with only half my order before I turned back to ask for the rest (they told me there was none, then, to go to the next person down the counter). Signs advertised a new menu item they didn t actually have. EDIT: The business owner reached out to me, as you can see in the history below. Rather then being redeeming, they never did follow up on their offers, so I take this as being window dressing and have edited from 2 stars to 1.
Tried the Aztec power bowl today. Very tasty ! I like it. The big bonus for me is the fact that almost all their items / ingredients are Garlic free. 5 stars!
Tried it for the first time..had the maple tempeh sandwich...pretty darn good!
Very slow and poor service. the food is very expensive and was salty! I would not spend my money there again.
Delicious. MealPal was sized appropriately for price.
I had the weekend breakfast skillet and it was so underwhelming and expensive. I feel like a lot of things here are too expensive for what they are.
Five minus one stars: great selection of great vegan food. Minus half a star went to the fries - they could be crisper (but I do like that theyre baked). Minus half a star for utensils: I prefer the eco friendlier kind.
I had the avocado toast for breakfast. It was so good and it actually looked the picture shown on the menu! How many restaurants can do that?
Raw uncooked potato c mon mane
Don t be a quick service spot in a food court in the financial district if you can t provide quick service. Waiting 20+ mins for your food when only 2 people ordered in front of you.
Pretty, pretty, pretty good
Food is decent but it s very expensive
Love it, a great healthy alternative to the fast food restaurants near by. You will full but not tired.
Went to this restaurant for the first time today. I had a black bean burger with sweet potato...absolutely yummy. Will definitely go back.
Copper Branch is my favorite take out ever since they first opened in Montreal. They have so many delicious choices and have never disappointed. Their chocolate brownie is probably too good.
The Mushroom burger is my fave! I thought I was obsessed with the black bean burger with added guac but the mushroom one has stolen first place. The general Tau salad bowl is okay...not too fond of the seasoning in the cabbage but their oven baked fries were unfortunatley underdone! If you know whats good for you, NEVER get the cauliflour pizza, it was a punishment to eat and tasted like plastic or rubber. Im sorry I dont mean to be rude, but I have to be honest. I will give 4* just for the burgers!
Had the quinoa chilli, amazing value and taste delicious!!!
Delicious and fresh vegan food! Friendly staff.
Went here as it was a vegan co-workers choice for his birthday lunch. Maybe this place appeals more to vegans but as a part-time vegetarian I was not into it. I tried the shiitake mushroom sandwich, and really the only flavour to that came out was the bun. Also got a side if fries which I was already expecting to be let down by since they bake them. The flavour of them was actually decent but brought down by the fact that they were soggy. Better off them just offering baked veggies instead of not frying a fry. Just because a place is plant based doesnt mean everything needs to be the most healthy version of it. Also its very pricey, just a bit over $15 for those 2 items. For a non vegan, not worth it, but I understand vegans have a more limited choice of food court food, so they will need to pay a premium to eat things that do not need to be so expensive.
Usually I love this place but today staff where very rude and unhelpful- I won t be returning
It s just like all other Copper Branch restaurants. The food is good but I wish the prices for some items were more competitive. Vegan restaurants should prioritize delivering good quality food at lower prices because it s hard to convince general public to become vegan if the stereotype of vegan food being expensive is being reinforced. $13 for poutine is too much.
Meat eater that goes on vegan adventures with friends here. I really enjoyed the vegan chicken wings (they come with a bamboo bone which I thought was really cute), but honestly it can t replace the flavour of real chicken wings. The texture was good, but overwhelmingly the flavour was just salt. 3 chicken wings was more than enough. The burger was ok I suppose, a bit dissapointing; A&W s Beyond Meat burger will beat if every time (totally biased though, I loooove the beyond meat burger) and I will not order it again. It s also pretty pricey, and entirely too pricey for not being a dine-in restaurant in my opinion. The menu is a bit overwhelming, I d suggest browsing a take out menu or their website first if you re not sure. Definitely an interesting place though.
Great place with delicious unique vegan dishes: bowls, wraps, sandwiches, sides, salads, desserts.... Reasonable prices, clean, quick and friendly service.
Food is delicious but I find the prices a bit high.
I did not appreciate clearly old broccoli in my food. Pretty unbelievable for $17.
High price compared to similar options. I paid 11$ after tax for a beet burger with no sides included, just ok size for a small lunch. The burger was ok but nothing special. I guess my expectations were too high and/or I have been having great vegan food elsewhere.
Great general Tsos style. A much needed respite from all the dead animals at the other spots in the food court.
I had a sandwich here. Loved it. Will sure come again.
Had to wait 15minutes for a burger during lunch time, I came to grab a quick bite but ended up wasting my short break between meetings waiting for the food. I also told the food preparer no tomatoes, they stuffed it with tomatoes. Not worth my time
Love their food, want to try the whole menu.
Awesome everytime
Good burgers. Slight over priced though.
So interesting... Vegetarians rejoice
Great place! Liked the meditarraneo salad.
As far as vegan places go, its not bad. Though the price range is a bit higher than a simple fast food place.
Food delivered hot, yummy, vegan, gluten free and nut free ! I had the chilli and Chico salad . Light but filling lunch ! Thanks !
Love giving 5 star reviews ! Food delivered hot, yummy, vegan, gluten free and nut free ! I had the chilli and Chico salad . Light but filling lunch ! Thanks !
AVOID THIS PLACE! There are rocks in the salad! My boss cracked his tooth in half, biting down on a rock that was in the salad! We got no refund and no explanation.
Slow service
Little bland in flavor but nice presentation.
Good and healthy food, fair price
I got the the Asian Fusion bowl. Ridiculously over priced ($1). Major lack in flavour, no taste. Very disappointed.
Normally I like this place a lot, but for this visit, I ordered blueberry waffles. Be warned, they are not made fresh, it s precooked and possibly frozen as they threw the waffles in the steamer to refresh and heat it. However, my waffles were actually still extremely cold in the middle!?!? I was wondering how I could get my waffles so quickly. Now I know why. The taste of the waffles is good, the sauces they provide are fine. For the price, I would prefer fresh waffle from another healthy food store.
I like the food!!
I used to live in Montreal and so knew this place and went many times before. I always had issues with the consistency of their food and Ive always found the items overpriced but I used to go for the bowls. I thought I would try this location since I now live in Toronto. I ordered the shiitake teriyaki burger, which cost me about 11 dollars with taxes. Turns out it was nothing like the picture, the bread was overdone and really tiny, there were 3 small pieces of shiitake teriyaki and some coleslaw. It was dry and lukewarm. I was very disappointed as I had had the burger before in Montreal and even though I always thought it was overpriced, it was way better than this. There are way better vegan options downtown..
My favorite vegan place. It is the best!
Back again for the Copper Bowl, yum yum!
Inside a food court and was just ok. Not overly impressed.
Received a response. Sent them the email they requested still havent heard from them. Its ok. This is Toronto many many other vegan restaurants I can visit....doesnt mean its unfortunate though. I went here twice. The first time I went was the 4th of Feb. I was excited to try the Toronto location as Ive eaten from both the Montreal and the Whitby location. Was looking forward to the Aztec more specifically the corn chips that came with my bowl. Alas, those corn chips and I would not meet. Ok, fine things happen mistakes are made. I was upset my meal wasnt as great without the chips but I lived. Today I was craving a South West scramble on a ciabatta bread...I had a perfectly good meal ready to be heated but my heart wanted a South West scramble...and coleslaw. I remember this breakfast sandwich quite well and I was sad to see that the bread shrank and unfortunately the scramble was quite sparse. It wasnt until I opened my container of slaw and I saw...an almost empty container of slaw. (About a quarter filled) Yes! slaw was my breaking point because I LOVE Copper branches slaw. One of the best slaws Ive ever tasted and there was just enough for me to taste test and confirm that indeed its as good as its always. Unfortunately, for me, I wasnt paying for a taste test.
Quick and friendly lunch service at this Commerce Court vegan establishment. Used Ritual to take advantage of the Bombay Soup special. Hit the spot on a rainy day. Wish it came with some bread for dipping, though.
Yummy flavors
Fantastic Vegan food
I just paid $8.00 for a small and very liquid smoothie. It seemed to be mainly orange juice. Won t be returning.
Love this place! The brownie they serve is incredible!
Pretty disappointed. Nachos were cold and similar to if I microwaved something myself. Pricey. Was excited about the menu but nothing we ordered was very appealing. Much better vegan options around.
Another stop on my vegan tour. I had the buffalo wings which were awesome, the waffles, and the black bean burger. I also tried their new pina colada smoothie. A big big plus, the people were friendly.
Galaxy mushroom burger and beet burger are amazing. Delicious!
Fantastic lunch there today!! Perfect, Healthy, Delicious !!
Not bad for vegan fast food, a bit overpriced
Great food but pricy. Definitely only good for once in a while.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered of Foodora, the estimated time for the entire delivery was 25 minutes. It turned out to be 50 minutes in the restaurant alone (I ordered a burger, fries, and the keftedes). I understand if this was during a lunch time rush, but this order was placed at 3:00pm on a weekday. There were two thick shards of glass, one at least 1.5cm by 1cm long, the other 1cm by 1cm in one of the keftedes I ordered. I didnt eat the rest. Taste was also bland. I doused my burger with ketchup and mayonnaise because it lacked any taste, and the keftedes tasted like straw. The fries were mushy by the time I got them. I love plant-based foods, there are so many places in Toronto that make flavorful, tasty plant-based meals, but this place is not it. Just avoid at all costs.
The food is really pricey for the size of the portions they provide.
Great food, little pricey, didn t even realize it was vegan until after
Amazing personnel!
Best shitake mushrooms ever!
Got the waffles and a coffee. Waffles came before the coffee and were cold. They may be made fresh daily but not prepared fresh. Waffles were also covered in a large amount of Cinnamon.
Yummy and healthy food price is not competitive though for a fast food eatery.
This is the greatest restaurant of all time. Get the general copper bowl. Every time. I love this place!
I love it. Its fresh, its light, its original and its healthy. I had the shiitake burger. It was awesome.
Underwhelming. 2 items roughly $18. Poutine sauce lacked complexity and serving it lukewarm didnt help. Also; barely any cheese. spicy black bean burger, guess what? Also lukewarm. And alsi, anything but spicy. Condiments helped. But overall; fair. Will try to return for a bowl next time.
I was excited to try this place since the pictures from their window display looked so good. I tried their Blueberry Chia Waffle from their breakfast menu and was unfortunately a bit disappointed. The waffle was very dry dispite the syrup and whipped cream on top and just generally was lacking in the flavour department. I am planning on giving this place another shot and will try a different item (from their lunch menu)...hopefully Ill have a better experience!
Great spot. Im a big fan of their Quinoa Coconut Power Bowl for breakfast and their Aztec Power Box for lunch. All of their lunch Power Boxes have great variety of flavour and the food combinations are well thought-out. Although the lunch boxes may look pricey at first glance they pack a TON of food in there, and with the quality of ingredients used its good bang for your buck. The staff is friendly and personable. Definitely my new favourite spot in the PATH.
I never write reviews but this restaurant is SO GOOD I had to! Im sitting here eating the Aristotle bowl which is so delicious I could cry. The ingredients taste so fresh they are making my tastebuds sing and dance. As a certified health professional I would highly recommend this to my clients that are looking for fast, flavour decadent healthy food. I would give this place 20 stars if I could. Okay...now back to my power bowl.
The absolute BEST vegan joint in this part of the city. Must try the shitake mushroom burger on a ciabatta. #delish
The food is vegan and organic. The service is fast but the good is all cold...plus its very expensive.
I heard about Copper Branch from my friend in Montreal who told me a location opened in Toronto. Ive eaten a few different menu items, both in Toronto and in Montreal. The first time I went, I ordered the Aristotle and somehow ended up with the Asian power box for lunch. I didnt love it but it was okay. My friend raves about the Copper burger all the time and I still havent had that! Me and my husband split the tofu & grilled veggie sandwich and the falafel wrap and both were delicious!!! Ive had that sammie three times now... Mmm! Cant wait to try more items! So nice to have more plant-based options.
Staff is friendly & very efficient. A wonderful innovative menu. The food here is spectacular! It is tasty and healthy - what a combo! A gem among the sea of crummy fast food places!
Amazing vegan food and the shitake teriyaki sandwich is a must try.
Flavour less and cold
Everything I tried here has been amazing! I really enjoyed the black bean burger and the smoked tofu sandwich. It s a very welcome addition to the underground food court.
These guys are so amazing the only thing they need is more locations. Absolutely delicious and good for people with gluten allergies too.
The food here is very good, I got one Burger but it tasted so good I had to get another one.
One of my favorite vegan places. So far I have tried their matcha lime smoothie bowl, their breakfast wrap and their matcha coconut latte and all are delish. I still have to go back and try the rest of the menu.
