This place was highly recommended by someone who used to cook here, and I can see why. It is easily one of the best restaurants I've been to, and I am not even vegan. The food was excellent, and I did not miss the fact I was not eating meat. Our table ordered (some were not pictured here): Bang Bang Broccoli, Spinach and Artichoke dip with chips, Poke Bowl, Chick'n Fried Mushrooms, Truffle Mushroom Cream Udon Noodles, Banana Pudding, and warm Chocolate Brownie Sundae. All very delicious! The service was incredibly friendly, down-to-earth and attentive. Overall, top tier quality without pretentiousness. I look forward to checking out the Queen St location someday, as it offers a different menu. However, I'd come back to this location, anytime!
Incredible experience being here. The staff is so friendly and the food is just the best one can have. We tried so many items and everything was top notch. Isaac, our server, was very nice and took care of us really well. I totally recommend this place.
Went with a group of 9. Gave us a nice quiet spot in the restaurant with plenty of room for everyone. And yes we booked ahead. Service was great they accommodated the large group and food came out fresh and together. Everyone enjoyed the bang bang broccoli and roasted Brussels sprouts we shared as a starter. The main dishes were great. Poke bowls, pizzas, burgers. A nice variety to choose from. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. This place is not just for vegans. The food is amazing and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
The vegan food was good, very filling. I ordered too much. The pumpkin cheesecake was very good. I would probably give 3/5 stars for the cocktails. The service was good. We didn't feel rushed on a Thursday evening.
Our waiter was super friendly and helpful, food came out fast, and everything was absolutely delicious. They were very accommodating to allergies, even crossing out items on the menu that couldn’t be made nut free. These vegan dishes blew my mind, the ‘tuna’ tasted just like real tuna!!! Will be returning and recommending!
I had an amazing night at one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever been to. The dishes were incredibly delicious, and the ambiance made the experience even better. The service was perfect—our server was attentive and made everything feel special. And his recommendations were amazing!!...If you're looking for top-notch vegan food with great vibes, this place is a must!
Such an high quality dining experience! My friends and I shared the bang bang broccoli, the torched and pressed sushi, the leek and mushroom pizza and the spaghetti carbonara. We all agreed it was the best vegan pizza we’ve ever had and the sushi was so incredibly flavourful. The spaghetti dish was the only thing we wouldn’t get again - it was a little coconutty for our liking. The service was so friendly and our food came within 10 minutes! The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, we sat in a cozy booth under a skylight. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.
If you love plant based food, then this is the must try location! The restaurant is right near the subway and Bloor St, so its hard to loose it. 🙃 The service is great and pretty fast. We tried fried mushrooms, nachos and two salads. It was delicious and the flavours are so interesting! My favourite is Kelp Caesar and Chicken fried Mushrooms. 🤩 I would suggest to book in advance.
Me and my girlfriend had amazing date night here and the food was incredible. The service and especially the server, Brandon, were equally as amazing. We were given many recommendations and details that made the experience so much more enjoyable. An extremely friendly and welcoming experience and a special thank you to Brandon!! :)
Great vegan food.
A little claustrophobic in some parts of the restaurant try to get a seat towards the front or back
Whether you are vegan or not, the food is tasty and good quality, and the vibe is nice.
I am a meat lover but still liked this restaurant a lot. Fairly priced, great service and food.
Food and service is always good. Best all-vegan table service in the city
Great food and servers
My friends and I came to PLANTA as a last minute reso and so glad we did! We had a few apps and each had our own mains. The bang bang broccoli is a must. I got the spicy lumaconi, which I devoured in 10 mins (it s not that spicy). Our server, Sprash, was exceptional and made sure my group of 5 was taken care of. I will definitely come back to try the other items on the menu!
It was really nice vibe, food taste was decent. We ordered pizza and pasta. Pizza was really good. The service was quite good too, welcoming staff. Overall good experience. Vegetarian options: Fully vegan and plant based recipes.
Great food and decent service. Prices are worthwhile for celebratory meals
It was my first time at this restaurant and the staff were very helpful. I had the Calabrese Pasta which was amazing, and my partner and I shared the 1000 layer potatoes. I would suggest making a reservation if you prefer table seating as this place is very popular.
Food arrived faster than I expected. The bang bang broccoli is a must get. The gluten free pizza crust was one of the best Ive ever had. The only thing slightly negative was that it was a little loud, but thats go be expected when you go on a Saturday night. Dietary restrictions: So many gluten free options. Wheelchair accessibility: Washrooms are upstairs.
Delicious!
This is the best place if you want to try a plenty of vegan dishes. They have a great starter palette. Must tries include the Unagi Eggplant Sushi, Crispy Mushroom hand roll, and vodka pizza. Their ambiance is so fresh and inspiring. We were served by Sparsh and he made sure we were taken care of. We ordered a dessert and they showed a cute gesture by presenting it with a sparkle stick (it was my friend s birthday) I m going here again, to try the rest of the items in the menu!
Great restaurant, love the atmosphere, love the concept, beautiful design. I m vegetarian, so I really appreciated the food. Waiters are very kind, food was also good, but a little too expensive for some tiny meals. One thing which I hate but need to include is that after 30 minutes - 1 hour mine and my mother s stomachs were hurting as hell. I m going to spare the details but the baked mushrooms is what caused it, there was just too much grease, oil and fat and we couldn t handle it. We couldn t more for the rest of the day. Vegetarian options: only vegetarian options
Great place for vegans and non-vegans.
According to an honest working person, they dont pay for shifts. Not an ethnical place. Do not go here - this kind of business should not be encouraged, especially taking advantage of minimum wage workers. Shame!
Vegetarian options: Options for vegetarians Food
Amazing food and service! First time here and will definitely visit again.
My mom and our friend went here for my 22nd birthday, the food was absolutely delicious and the service provided by Marie was excellent. Our favourites were the torched pressed roll, truffle cream udon and banana pudding.
Had vegan French Toast. One of the best
I was in Toronto visiting my daughter and son in law who are vegan. The restaurant came highly recommended and we were pleasantly surprised. Every dish we had was phenomenal - cauliflowertots, kelp ceasar, dragon roll, chicken and waffles, spicy chorizzo pizza, key lime cheesecake and coconut pie - all incredible. Our waitress Alexa is a true asset - we thoroughly enjoyed her. No doubt well come back!!
Great food! Amazing service! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options! Food : 4/5 |
The plant based food was great. Our server Alexi went above and beyond. She physically marked my neices menu, noting the Gluten Free most Celiac safe items. She was super fun and next level professional at the same time. Right now I feel this is one the best plant based dinner experiences in Toronto. Three great meals all exceeding our expectations. Super Cheers Planta Yorkville! Dietary restrictions: Celiacs are in safe hands here.
Lovely place! The decor is beautiful, the service is great, there are lots of options on the menu.
Went with vegetarian friends. No complaints about the food. Atmosphere was really nice. Fairly priced.
So nice to finally share a menu with my partner! We got the French toast, Bao bun sliders (two of them) and the crispy mushroom wrap which were awesome! The French toast was so nicely crispy with great toppings, the wrap had such a good blend of textures and flavours, and the Bao buns were so soft and yummy. Id say my LEAST favourite part was the fact that they gave me a menu that was half unusable at the time! I got so excited for some amazingly priced sides only to find out that it was entirely a happy hour menu! I really wish they kept those separate from the limited time menus (which was on the other side, and available) to limit confusion. Also, would not recommend that macchiato for people who dont typically drink macchiatos. It was super bitter but I dont normally drink macchiatos so it could have been a very good one and I just dont like macchiatos! Vegetarian options: DUH!! It has infinite vegetarian options. So nice to be a vegetarian and actually look at the ENTIRE menu for once. Go crazy fellow vegetarians.
Loved the ambience & the vegan menu. The server was good & the dishes were posted well. We went to celebrate the festive season with family for dinner! Will definitely visit again
I never know vegan can taste so good
I have always loved planta but this is the second time I have got food poisoning from the bang bang broccoli. When I called to let them know the hostess just said oh sorry and proceeded to do nothing but suggest that I have an allergy. I have an avocado allergy and have eaten there several times without issue, so I know it must be old food/ dirty prep. It really upsets me to write this but people should know. And I m unimpressed how this was handled. Unfortunately will not be returning/ nor will my friends
I visited Planta this week and it was one of my best experiences ever. The server assistant named Helen recommended some great sushi and as a vegetarian, it was one of the best sushi I ever had. Super friendly staff! Great experience over all.
Bestest place for vegan and vegetarian food
Simply delicious food, outstanding service and a lovely ambiance. Amazing what the chef creates with plant based foods! New nachos are delicious. Highly recommended.
Great date night spot, the ambiance is lovely and cocktails and food are excellent!
Love the decor, it makes for a cute date. The food is good, the large cookie during happy hour is worth it!
Everything we ate was good EVERYTHING! The service was excellent. We went at brunch time, so we were limited to that menu. We had the Brussels sprouts, bang-bang broccoli, chikn & waffles, vegan sushi (krab rolls, firecracker rolls), spicy pasta, miso mango drink, drangonfruit drink and passion fruit lemonade. Every single item I named was fire. I live in Dallas and I m trying to figure when I can go back to NYC just to eat there. I want to try dinner menu items. It s worth the trip, trust me! Dietary restrictions: They offer alternative options for dietary allergies.
Amazing Vegan restaurant.
Our lunch at Planta was perfect. We were looking for a convenient and fun plant based lunch that was unique. Our server, Sparsh, was so helpful in guiding us through the menu. It was some of the best plant-based sushi I ve ever eaten. I would definitely dine here again.
Delicious eats with mediocre service
The food is amazing, but the bathroom is not accessible. Vegetarian options: all vegan Wheelchair accessibility: The bathroom is not accessible
The variety at this restaurant is impressive. We were dining with a vegetarian couple, and the bang bang broccoli was a standout; everyone loved it. The tuna tartare was visually appealing, but it didn t quite meet our expectations. Unfortunately, my udon noodle dish lacked flavor the sauce was watery and bland. That said, the atmosphere was lovely and vibrant, perfect for a weekend outing.
Food was delicious! The only thing Id say is that the mushrooms were a bit skimpy for the dishes that contained them. Service is great and staff are really pleasant.
Last time we went there for special occasion, it was all packed and they don t seem organised. The food didn t tasted like before, it was not a good experience at all also it was over priced. We did tried reaching them on call but no response.
Edit 09/2024: of the 4 times I ve been there I can say that the food has not gotten better just more expensive (which I understand inflation) but quality of food that they re presenting is not up to par with the prices & pretentiousness. It s a pretty place to look at. I ve had troubles all the three times I ve been there over the years. Food troubles (tastes meh), service troubles (super snooty vibes), ambience troubles (gave us the worst table possible even when there were plenty of nice tables available. The place was almost empty ), food troubles again (plastic in my pizza). Service is willing to help but honestly I wished they would have given the whole meal complimentary, the time I had plastic in my pizza, it was my birthday. Anyways, the food isn t great but it s gotten better over the years (of the three times I ve been there).
Honestly one of the most amazing restaurants in the city. Staff are wonderful. The minute you sit down they explain that its a plant based menu and ask if there are any allergens they need to be aware of. Im celiac and my friend is allergic to coconut. Knowing that, our waitress took our menus and went to the back to cross off all the things we couldnt eat. Each thing we order was chock full of flavours. The amount of crispness, savoury, fantastic textures and such a work of art on the plate. I highly recommend going! You wont be disappointed. Dietary restrictions: Safe for celiac
Great service! Lovely food
The sushi was an abomination.
Delicious vegan food, the broccoli was out of this world, as was the firecracker roll. Sit at the bar and watch all the cocktails being made.
Loved the place! Great fresh food, super nice staff and atmosphere
Like the variety
One of the best vegan place in toronto. Everything we tried was awesome. Avocado lime tartare and fully loaded nachos were highlights and must try. Vegetarian options: Whole menu is plant based Dietary restrictions: Suitabke for vegetarian and vegan Parking: Nearby Green P parking lot on yorvikke rd with plenty of spaces
Love it here
Really nice space and good food. Broccoli is great
Whether you go for the nightlife or a lushious meal, planta will help you escape to an exotic location where tastebuds roam wild. I picked the General D, because Im a safe traveler, but instantly shared different plates with my girls. The portions are really big, I could barely finish the rice. Some people complain vegan food leaves them hungry, not this place.
I would definitely recommend eating here if you are a vegan! I had many apps off the happy hour menu and it was all flavourful! Definitely coming back here!
Stylish restaurant with lovely food. Having struggled to find good vegan food for my son in the city, it was great to find Planta. I m not vegan but really enjoyed the Udon Noodles. My son had the burger and ate the lot. Would definitely return if we were staying longer.
The food was okay, I got the poke bowl it looks like a lot of food but it was just a thin layer of sauce and so much of rice on the bottom. After mixing everything half of the rice were still not covered. I had to mix with soy sauce to finish the rest of the rice.
Amazing service here. Decided to reserve a table here for my sisters birthday as she is vegan and it was hard finding a great vegan place to eat. Glad to have had dinner here. Service was quick, they were very helpful with handling the birthday cake (we brought a vegan cheesecake) drinks were great and its a beautiful place to have food.
I have been here many times and it has always been a great time. But last week was different experience in terms food, services and atmosphere. Firstly, we had fruit flies all over our food which was gross. Secondly, employee over the phone confirmed that they have power plant lunch but when we arrived, they said it has been discontinued. Lastly, when we confronted about getting confirmation for the same over the phone, we were treated differently throughout our dine-in experience.
Tasty and delicious vegan/ vegetarian food, good portion sizes, ambiance is okay(it s open space with high ceiling so it can get better pretty loud in there), loved the potate with vegan caviar and pizza. Vegetarian options: All vegan
Food was incredible, and as a vegetarian couple it was nice to just be able to order anything on the menu. Best food weve had in a long time. Our waitress was kind and quick. Only oddity was they needed my phone number in case they needed to tell me my table was ready when 80% of the tables were empty.
Still one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto (even after going to several michelin starred places). The best sushi, vegan or not.
Planta used to be great. Since the menu change lately I find the food too oily. It makes me and my family feel sick. We used to be regulars and would book for events. Now we stay away.
The best vegan sushi
Best food ever, the GF Key Lime pie is the best dessert I ever had, not just the best vegan dessert, and looking forward to brunch!
Im not Vegan so this was my first experience at a Vegan restaurant thanks to my Vegan friend. The food here is incredible. Its good quality, tasty and the portions are nice as well. Would highly recommend the bang bang brocolli and chick n fried mushrooms
Enjoyed my brunch on a Saturday afternoon at Planta. I wanted to check out this place for a long time. Ordered the Bang Bang Broccoli ($17 for 8-9 florets), Vodka Pizza (12in, 4 big slices, thin crust) and Avocado Lime Tartare. All three items were absolutely delicious but over-priced. There...I said it! Its not a VFM kind of restaurant and Ill return when in the mood for a treat. With gratuity - I paid a total of $75.
Excellent experience at Planta! The choices are very interesting and varied. The sushi is original and tasty. We also really enjoyed the fresh juices. I recommend it!
Great service and ambience.
Definitely recommend visiting this restaurant chain if you re vegan. This location is very aesthetically pleasing and the drinks are phenomenal!
The place was really nice & the service was super attentive. The food was great, my favorite dishes were the dragon roll & the spicy chorizo pizza the flavors were so on point! However, I didn t enjoy the house burger as the texture was very mushy & everything fell apart from the first bite.
Alexa is a kind, considerate, efficient, cordial waitress; who encompasses all the qualities of a good human-being. Thank you for your service and your authenticity. Please give this wonderful soul an outstanding employee award; because she is exceeding her duties! All other members were pleasant, considerate and carried equal weight in delivering an inclusive atmosphere. Paired with a top-of-the-line menu, Planta is definitely the place to be! Thank you so kindly for your hospitality! Till next time, Best regards! Vegetarian options: The entire menu is Vegan. It s the best. All my non-vegan/non-vegetarian friends/family say this is one of the best restaurants they ve ever been to & I agree. Dietary restrictions: One time - the waitress scratched off the items that had an item that I am restricted to eat from the menu, which made it ten-times easier to read. I appreciated that. I also appreciated how each time a meal was brought to your table, the waitress would announce the plates name along with the saying with adherence to your allergy restrictions . You all rock! Kid-friendliness: My nephew and my teenaged cousins all loved it here! The atmosphere is very youthful while maintaining elegance and class.
The staff was very nice, but the food had fruit files all over it and it was not good!! Planta Queen is so much better
The food was ok, but the service could have been better. The Bang Bang Broccoli was excellent, but we then waited almost 30 minutes for our entrees, and the waitress was condescending when we asked whether the veggie patty in the Planta Burger was similar to Beyond Meat. Definitely prefer the Queen location over this one.
This is actually the first vegan restaurant I have been to in Toronto, so I did have a lot of expectations. The food is good but doesnt have much of the wow factor and is a bit expensive for the portions. I felt full when i was there but hungry right after an hour. I would recommend people to come and try for the food but if you ask if I ll come back here again, the answer is probably no.
Love this restaurant!
Update July 2024; Heres the revised review with the additional details about the excellent service: A few months ago, I decided to venture into solo dining, and Planta was my restaurant of choice. Knowing their food is 100% plant-based gave me peace of mind from any concerns about meat or animal byproducts. I prefer going early to avoid crowds, but regardless, every solo dining experience at Planta has been exceptional. Ive explored dishes Ive never tried before, like their French toast which was a standout, though not quite a favorite. It earns 4.5 stars from me. Recently, I indulged in their lobster roll with tater tots and coleslaw hands down the best meal Ive had there. It set the perfect tone for the day; I was so satisfied I skipped dessert! Their new summer drinks, especially the lychee one if you enjoy white wine, are refreshing additions to their menu. What truly sets Planta apart is their excellent service from the moment you walk in. The staff is attentive and accommodating. Once, I even forgot my to-go bag, and they promptly called me to let me know. This level of service is why I keep coming back to Planta again and again. In 2022, I tried Planta for pickup during a downtown work meeting. Since then, its become my top vegan restaurant. The Caesar salad is a game-changer, the burger is top-tier, and the service is outstanding. The sushi impressed me so much that I made a round trip from Mississauga to Toronto just so my colleague could experience it too.
Great food.
We came here for a friends birthday. The venue was beautiful and the food was tasty. I particularly enjoyed the bang bang broccoli, avocado lime tartare (the tartare was made with beetroot), torched and pressed sushi (had avocado and truffle).
This is the first time I can say I had absolutely TERRIBLE service at Planta Yorkville. I came in at 5:40pm today. I sat at the bar and wanted to order before happy hour was over. The bartender (dark brown hair in a pony tail) CLEARLY hates her job. She refused to acknowledge me what so ever until after 10 minutes I tried to get her attention. She said I ll be right with you. Nope. I sat there patiently and politely for another 5 minutes. A server could see what was going on and came over to take my order. The bartender still refused to even look at me. It was so bizarre. I wasn t asked if I wanted another drink. I wasn t asked how my food was. Finally I asked the bartender to check on one of my dishes that was late. She literally didn t say anything to me, just starts punching in some stuff at the till. I was left feeling so confused as to what was going on. Finally she brings the dish over but doesn t say anything to me. I say thank you and I m shocked she finally acknowledged me with a very cold you re welcome she made me very uncomfortable. Even when she came to my side of the bar to drink her drink by the till she couldn t have just checked on me?! My drink was empty but she made me so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave. I will NEVER sit at the bar again if I see this lady. I don t know her name but I hope management does their due diligence. She was the only bartender when I was there.
The vegan pizza I ve had in Toronto hands down. One of the best ever anywhere. Breakfast Burritos was Amazing too.
The food was amazing! Service was so nice and sweet! Vegetarian options: All vegan. So nice to have al options. Food : 5/5 |
An amazing dining experience and some of the best vegan food I ve had - the mushroom truffle udon is out of this world! Great atmosphere and the happy hour starting at 8:30pm is great!
Bianca Pizza Torched and pressed pizza Food
This place was in my check list for so long ever since I became a vegan but hardly got the opportunity as it always gets fully booked on special occasions. Finally made it to the yorkville branch this summer and absolutely loved it! If only people tried such food and realized it s possible to have healthy delicious meals without having to harm animals, this world would be a much better place. It was so satisfying to dine here as in general , as a vegan, you have to check if they have any plant-based food, if not, you have to request them to not add dairy or meat. Then they will have to check with the chef and then get back blah blah blah. For a change, it was a bliss to visit Planta as everything was plant-based and it was such a beautiful fine dining restaurant! Certainly visiting the queen street branch soon as well! The world needs more such restaurants. Their website talks about a Planta passport but apparently it s not launched in Toronto yet. I wonder why.
Lovely place, good vegan food
Love it so good . Will go again for sure
Amazing service and delicious vegan food! Highly recommend the ahi watermelon!
I wanted to provide some feedback about our experience at the restaurant. However, no one approached us to ask about the food. The Vietnamese coffee was decent, but the other fruit-based drink was disappointing. We also ordered the spicy potato chorizo pizza, which was quite bland and uninteresting in terms of taste. The sushi was also underwhelming; Ive had much better vegan sushi at other restaurants. Although I was intrigued by the concept of a plant-based eatery, I was hoping for a culinary experience that differed from the typical restaurant fare. Apart from the restaurants ambiance, the food failed to impress.
Loved it! From my daughter: Coming from a meat lover (and an eleven year-old) this place was exquisite! The wait staff were lovely! The décor was modern, elegant and atmospheric. The food was delicious, nutritious and filling. I would highly recommend this restaurant to someone looking for a calm, visually pleasing and (of course) delicious place to eat.
Tried Planta for the first time today. Im not plant based but WHOA! This food blew me away. Depth of texture and flavour, beautifully presented. Our server Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and his recommendations were spot on. He guided us through the entire menu and made specific suggestions, each one we loved! We ordered 6-7 different dishes, and each one was equally amazing! Will definitely be back again and recommend.
The crispy rice oh my lanta! Carbonara was amazing. I found the burger to average. Vegetarian options: Vegan.
The food is good, if not a little too salty (in both senses, with a little too much salt and also a little too expensive). Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan.
Delicious vegan food, especially the fried chicken - could barely tell the difference.
Staff were really nice and attentive, we were the last seating of the night and they didn t rush us at all. But they were late getting our table ready even though we had a reservation and they didn t seem to know the menu that well. The food lacks flavour and is very one dimensional. The creamy items overwhelmingly taste like coconut cream and not much else. The menu is confusing because it doesn t tell you how many pieces you re getting or what s actually in it. It ll say chicken sandwich but not what chicken is
I love how you know what you are eating there and not some vegan substitute. It taste magnificent
I am not a vegan (yet), but I was extremely satisfied by the experience of eating at this restaurant. Every dish we tried was excellent (appetizers, salads, main courses). Being Italian, I am very picky about my pizza. We tried two pizzas and they were some of the best I ve ever had. The service and atmosphere were great.
For my brother s birthday, we decided to take him out for dinner at Planta. The food was really good but our server was really out of touch with everything. One order of apps was missed and the night ended on an unfortunate note. I ordered a birthday dessert for my brother but it never came. I spoke with the server on the side, reminded her again, and my husband even followed up. It still didn t come. The server was so confused and at the end of the night said you have to order the birthday dessert with the desserts you ordered which I did! She just said that it must have been a misunderstanding. We drove from out of the city and I wanted to surprise my brother with something. Just sucks it ended like this - I didn t expect it would.
Update: While the power lunch is no longer a thing, we still had a fun experience trying the June specials at Planta for lunch. We even had some unexpected entertainment when a bird flew into the restaurant through one of the large open windows. Lunch and a show! Previous review: Love the power lunch! Big fan of the sushi and the watermelon sandwich was shockingly filling! Dietary restrictions: Made for vegans
I ate here while vacationing in Toronto. Im allergic to dairy and Planta had a really good plant based spicy lumaconi pasta. The dessert was also great and its nice to be able to get dessert at a restaurant without having an allergic reaction. Also really nice customer service. I highly recommend this to any residents or visitors to Toronto
Been going to this location numerous times with my partner and we usually enjoy our experience and the food is always great, however the service this time was really bad. We ended up waiting for quite some time for our order to be taken, to be checked in on, to get takeaway boxes and even get our bill. We felt as if we were being ignored and neglected which is truly unfortunate. Now having experience working in the food industry we understand that it being a holiday today that there may have been some underlying circumstances that would affect the service. However being neglected and not even getting an apology or an explanation/excuse for the poor service at any given point in time was just disappointing and quite disheartening. This may have just been the exception however for the possibility that this may happen to other customers in the future, please take in to consideration to just touch base with them and let them know of the situation.
So so tasty! The mushroom crispy thingy on the poke bowl is absolutely mouthwatering. And the broccoli is amazing. And pretty much everything else is great! Strongly recommended. Food
Excellent and creative spin on Asian fusion with a plant based menu. No further notes!
Planta always provides a reliable great time. As a non vegan the food is incredibly tasty, and you dont miss the meat. We started with the chickn app and the bang bang broccoli. The bang bang broccoli is extremely tasty, crispy, and flavourful! For my main I had the chickn and waffles, the waffle was surprisingly moist and tasty from the agave syrup. Highly recommend the restaurant!
Chef Tina is the best !!! She made the pizza class super entertaining and fun , lots of love to what she does plus very knowledgeable! Absolutely my favourite !!!!
All around good food! Loving the happy hour menu and the truffle noodles were amazing. Watermelon tuna sushi was also amazing!!
Overall a good experience!
Incredible plant based food! Food : 5/5
Service is good Food is okay Expensive for the quantity Atmosphere is very noisy Food : 3/5 |
Unforgettable dining experience. Food was amazing and great service. I gave the atmosphere a 4 only because itd one of those restaurants with high ceilings so very noisy so if that grinds on you, ask for.a quiet table. Food
Excellent food and service! My family and will definitely be back. The black bean Burger and fries and any of the appetizers are amazing! Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to peanuts and shelled fish and they were very accommodating
Yummy and delicious dishes of many continents are available. Good service
Probably the best restaurant Ive visited in Toronto, and to be fair, maybe the best restaurant Ive visited this year. Incredibly inventive vegan dishes! Vegetarian options: The restaurant is fully plant-based Dietary restrictions: Vegan, Plant-based
Possibly the best vegan place Ive ever been to.
Love this place! The food was great and the vibe was nice. (The only complaint I have is that the portion was a bit too small for me..)
This was probably some of the best vegan food I have everrrr had. I got the spicy lumaconi pasta and I genuinely have been dreaming of it ever since - amazing. The pizza was also great. The service was kind and quick, and the atmosphere was lively but not too loud. Will definitely be returning - pls open a location in Vancouver!!
I am not a vegetarian at all in anyway but I was blown away by the food here it was so good you didnt even care if it was meat or not. Although I did expect better service to be honest I mean our waiter was nice but I hate having to always ask for water or napkins .. things that should just be there you know what I mean.
So yummy, even carnivores enjoy eating here!
Good solid food and ambience. Wish you guys had a few local vines on the menu. The selection is average and overpriced. What ever you do, DO NOT get the Riesling Orange (never heard of such vine before so tried it) - supposedly it s like that, but it s pretty much vinegar not drinkable Service seems a bit overwhelmed. Overall pretty good though
Best restaurant I have been to in a very long time. Cant say enough. The whole menu is amazing. Every bite was fantastic. Vegetarian options: Everything is veggie. Everything.
The fact that their regular menu is not available for lunch during weekends is so disappointing. Their food is so great outside of brunch options. Their brunch is tasteless. Go for dinner. Food
Love love love their burger
This is probably the best vegetarian restaurant in the city. The food is immaculate; cocktail list is refreshingly diverse and each as delicious as the last. Hospitality at its finest and Im not even a vegetarian, but some of the best dishes Ive ever consumed. The Bao Sliders are a must
Flavours were delicious for all the dishes we tried. Everything was also well cooked - pasta was perfectly al dente, pizza dough had the perfect chew, and the bang bang broccoli was incredibly crunchy. A great example of how delicious plant based food can be. Highly recommend a try! That said, do not expect the textures to fully replace its animal-based counterparts (ie. the cheese on the pizzas will not stretch) if that is what you crave. Seating was comfortable and spacious. Decent service and lovely ambiance.
The kitchen was on point. Everything came out quick, hot and so delicious! I know a lot of restaurants are short for space especially in the city but there was just something about being stuck in the middle of a bunch of empty tables at a sticky table that doesnt feel good. Especially when we had a confirmed reservation through opentable that didnt show up on the hosts tablet. The bathrooms could use a face-lift also. Even just new toilet seats... But I love planta and will always support the food is always on point and staff are so friendly.
I had a good experience dining at Queen, but the food preparation here was too bad. The burger was good but the fries seemed to have been fried for a long time and were cold and soft. The mushroom pizza was completely substandard, like an overnight dish taken out of the refrigerator. Cold and hard, the pizza had only sparse mushroom slices + wilted vegetables on top. But the attitude of the service staff is good, I have no complaints about them
Pure banger
I ordered food tonight from this location and it was not fresh and left an aftertaste, we ended up throwing out all of the food. We ordered previously and it was great however tonight was extremely disappointing. Our guests were disappointed as well and truthfully none of us will order again. The cost is too high for the food not to be reliable all of the time.
Jeff A was absolutely exceptional!!!!!! Not only the food was stupendous but his service, attention to details, and the extra perks he provided on the house for our 21st anniversary made this a memorable night. Jeff was a true floor general with a keen eye for making his guests feel at home. We will be back
I recently dined here with my family and had an exceptional experience! We were a huge group of 13ppl The customer service was outstanding Fiona was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The food was simply delicious, with each dish perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. From start to finish, it was a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!
I neglected to get proper pictures of our meal, because it was genuinely so good that we dug in before we could remember to take photos! We got the Firecracker Roll (absolutely delicious and perfect to split), Bang Bang Broccoli (I m going to be dreaming of that sauce), Spinach & Artichoke Dip (4/5 - tasted fine but could have used more of a savory kick!), and a seasonal blueberry and cereal layered dessert that I can t recall the name of but it was fantastic! The service was wonderfully attentive, and while the atmosphere was a bit loud (Saturday night, very open space), it was because of patrons talking in a spacious atmosphere and the restaurant obviously has no control over that. I was just visiting for the weekend, but I d love to go back and try more of their seasonal items on future trips! Parking: It s downtown, so you have to find a paid garage or get lucky with street parking.
Honestly maybe our taste buds are different but we weren t a huge fan of the food. Just a heads up this is a review coming from someone who eats meat, I wanted to try vegan options in the area. Loved the sushi! Would come back for that, a goood twist to sushi. Was not a fan of the cauliflower tots. The dumplings were good. Overall I think the appetiser options are much better than the mains. Very flavourful and unique tasting. I was not a fan of the mains at all. I literally could not finish the pasta, had a bite and put it aside. The pizza wasn t all that edible either, had a slice but could not have another. They flavours were extremely bland.
On the expensive side but it s an experience. I loved the ambience and I d absolutely go back for the stuffed mushrooms item! Heavenly
Such good Maki!!
Recommended food was not that great , rest Normal, had high expectations Vegetarian options: Its a vegan restaurant Food : 3/5 |

The burger was really good. Highly recommend.
Everything that we tried was beyond good! My sister and I are not vegans and we were blown away. Will return for sure. Our server Isaac was great as well.
And it didnt surprise me again, everything was delicious and beautiful.
Impressive selection of food. Crispy Falafel Wrap, Waffle and Bang Bang Broccoli were great choices. Loved my Cucumber Mule. Breakfast burritos could be more flavourful, perhaps salsa with the honey. Lovely brunch.
Absolutely obsessed with the 1000 layer potatoes and their take on caviar! So yummy! Their vegan burgers were super good too! The drinks were also really cute, the atmosphere was so chill and it was pretty in there. Such a nice place! Food
Soooo good. Almost everything can be done gluten free. The torched and pressed is insanely tasty. Pizzas are fab. Nice decor. Convenient location
It is a good place overall. But they have to pay more attention to the food, carbonara pasta was tasteless, and the pizza was a bit burned. Besides that, the sushi roll and dessert were great!!! The place has a pleasant atmosphere and service was good. Vegetarian options: All vegan Dietary restrictions: Vegan
Great vegan experience.
Great place for vegan and gluten free food!! Sushi is delicious. Next time will come back for those wraps I saw on the table across from us.
Well some ingredients and towels are stored in the accessible washroom
Had very expectations. Everything we ordered packed flavour. The 1000 layers potatoes had no salt no seasoning. The artichoke dip again had no flavour just alot of cheese to mask the flaws, didnt fool us. The planta burger was our favourite the last time we had it, it was a disappointment this time had to send half of it back. Need to really work on your food Planta. Also it was a let down knowing the whipped ricotta has been taking down from the menu.
Planta is such a great plant based restaurant in Yorkville. A really good spot for a girls day or night. Everything inside is super cute and well decorated. They are very good with gluten-free options and accommodating for celiac.
Awesome premium experience. The best dish and must try is chickpea waffle cake. Love the ambiance of the place. Being in Toronto, parking can be difficult and we have done street parking during our dinner time.
I mean if you re vegetarian or vegan this is a great spot, even if you eat meat it s a nice option. 10 out of 10
Pretty good place and great service! Do try Bang Bang Broccoli the taste of sweet chilli, peanut sauce was really luscious. Food
This place is a vegetarian paradise! The food is fantastic with a vibrant, lively ambiance to match. While the desserts leave a bit to be desired, the overall dining experience is definitely worth it
My favorite vegan restaurant in the world! The food is consistently delicious, service is great and the ambience is very comforting. Even if you are not a vegan, you will definitely love this place! Highly recommend!!
Solid vegan option in the area. Beautiful restaurant and decent food. The Queen location tastes much better though.
Come.
Nice place for a bite to eat or drink with friends or family.
Always 100% pleased with the food and service
Great food. Nice place. Will go back. Service was fine.
Was a little disappointed and expected more from a high end vegan Yorkville restaurant. The menu also wasn t that exciting. My girlfriends and I also felt like we were being treated differently, as we were the only all black table. The server seemed like he was rushing us to pay, asking us if we wanted to pay while we just started drinking our teas that had just arrived. The restaurant wasn t busy, we had a reservation, so we didn t understand the rush. Also we ordered 2 pizzas, and we weren t given the same serving tray and additional plates that literally everyone else who had pizza around us had. Also it felt like some of the regular customers and crowd were occasionally giving us looks and it s not as if we were a rowdy, disrespectful or loud table. It just felt weird and uncomfortable. I don t think I d eat here again, the food was decent though but nothing spectacular.
Great food. Hoping they bring back the OG planta burger with truffle fries. Thats a personal fave. Overall menu is ridiculously amazing, vibes are always chill. Staff is kind, courteous and on point. Vegetarian options: Its a vegan restaurant
Food is so good!!!
