2060 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON M6R 1W9, Canada
Low-key hideaway known for vegetarian pho & Vietnamese standards, plus a raised sidewalk patio.
I really like this place. Donna, the owner, is great. Very hospitable and attentive. She has a great personality and a beautiful smile. And she's always smiling, so... The food is good, hot and fresh. Prepared by Donna's mom and her staff. Traditional Vietnamese food. And...the value is very good! The atmosphere is fun. Low lighting, great music, cocktails. It's half restaurant half bar. Just the right mix. The music is as much a part of the atmosphere as anything. Motown, R&B, Blues. I may be biased, but it lands strong in conjunction with everything else this place has to offer. Phono flys under the radar. A family business. Very nice. It's a must try for a new favorite.
One of my most favourite Vietnamese bar. Highly recommend the duck salad and the deep fried chicken wings w fish sauce.
Great place to eat, and absolutely top level service! The food was all amazing and reasonably priced, the only feedback I have is that even though you get a lot of food for the money, I wish there was a little bit more meat in my dish. With Pho and spring rolls it was $30 including the tip (which I was generous with)
Delicious Vietnamese cuisine with lots of selection. First time dining in at this hideaway restaurant. We tried the pan fried meat and seafood chow mein, grilled beef on French bread, baby clams with dried pancakes and Vietnamese sticky rice pudding with black eyed peas and coconut cream. It was sooo delicious! The restaurant opened from 4 pm to midnight on weekdays and 2 am on weekends. Their menu was full of delicious dishes. They also have a great selection of vegetarian dishes. The only downside was they only accept cash no cards:)
Did not expect the quality of food to be that good by walking into the place thank God I stayed because it was worth it the food was amazing 5 out of 5 I recommend everybody go and check it out.. the only issue I had there was no chicken pho on the menu but they do serve it I think they need to update that.... Chicken pho was the best I've had in the city hands down strawberry shake was crazy good made with fresh strawberries check out the drink menu has some amazing
Overall, this is a good place to eat! We got the springrolls, the Bon Bo Hue and the Singapore noodles. Each of the dishes tasted great and were great value for money. The food can take quite a long time to come out, and the service is fine. Cash only. All in all, we will always be happy to stop by!
Great place to grab Vietnamese food. They’re cash only, but have an ATM inside. Good vermicelli and lemongrass chicken. It was enjoyable and plates came warm and fresh. The service is excellent. Good beers as well. Place is a little dark and has two huge tv’s on both walls but it still feels communal and alive.
Lovely neighborhood place for great pho other Vietnamese dishes. Charming mother and daughters team. Always greeted with a smile. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. I love how the food is so consistent…consistently tasty! Over the years I’ve tried several dishes on the menu and have not disliked even one. You have to try their chicken wings, fresh rolls with grilled chicken, vegetarian chowmein, deep fried spring rolls, fresh rolls, vegetarian rice noodle soup, and pho ga, just to name a few.
Best pho joint in the city.
Parking: Theres a handful of parking spaces for customers. Food
My visit here was extremely disappointed with the customer service. The staff displayed a surprising lack of politeness and seemed indifferent to our needs. Given that we were paying customers, it was frustrating to receive such poor treatment. The service was slow, and when we had concerns or questions, the responses were curt and unhelpful. It s disheartening when a dining experience is overshadowed by such a negative attitude. I hope the management addresses these issues, as good service is crucial for a positive dining experience.
My son works here!!!hi
Delicious, friendly, One of a kind...
Cute little restaurant with a nice patio. The vietnamese coffee is really good. The food itself is average, and can be improved. The lady at the counter always has a great attitude and is very welcoming.
Food took more than 30mins to arrive at our table. Had to ask the staff twice 1st was to inform them we have been waiting a while for our food. 2nd was to ask when our food might be arriving as we noticed the table who came and ordered after us got their food first. alcohol also took forever. My order of the special pho was wrong as It was missing tripe and tendon. Overall bad service and subpar food. ps the cocktail sucked too.
Fun place nice cocktails and the special has all the good stuff
I ve going to this restaurant for YEARS! I moved to another city and thought about the food often. There s nothing like it !!! There s nothing like it, best Thai food, best servers
Great spot! Great Vietnamese food with good a licensed patio. Parking: Usually some spots nearby Food : 5/5 |
Always great ! Second time here and they always surprise me with an excellent option.
I have been eating here for 9 years. The Shanghai noodles with the pork is to die for.
eccentric ambiance for a pho place. opens later than other pho places on a friday night. 2024 update: most generous with their toppings/meat for pho, when we requested for more veggies, it was surprisingly so generous! Nice patio and balcony open in the summer, patio is dog friendly, can catch part of the sunset south facing, highly recommend when youre in the west end!
Absolutely horrible service and mediocre food. If you re reading this, don t waste your time or money at this restaurant.
Love their banh canh cua gio heo, bun Bo hue, and chao long! Tastes exactly like back home
Loved this place. Went in thinking the food would be decent at best, but it was actually pho-nomenal! Great atmosphere. Was bustling and lovely. Owners were very friendly
Nice family oriented establishment.
place is dope. food is hot and tasty. the people who run it know what they re doing with customers and food. staff are loving and warm. not to mention the late 2000s/early 2010s banging edm. note: it is cash only
Far too expensive for what wet got. Said they wound take 25 minutes to prepare - already far too long. But it took 50 minutes to get our food and youd think after such a long wait it would be amazing. Mediocre at best.
Great neighbourhood spot. Delicious food and friendly staff. This is the best Vietnamese sports bar in Toronto
The TVs are too much but the place is nice and they changed the channel from disturbing news when I requested it.
Food was actually fantastic and spot on, I won t lie. The customer service on the other hand was absolutely disgusting. I had been to this restaurant about a year earlier and liked the fact that their kitchen is open late and had good food. However, when I came back here in August of 2023 with a friend for dinner, I was shocked. We ordered our food and it came promptly and actually tasted very good, we were sitting by the patio door and they had it all the way open, there were no people on the patio and the restaurant was not that busy, while we were eating two mice scurried I under our table and were hovering arum nearby on the dining room floor, when we informed our server she said she would call the manager for us, when the manager came and we told her what happened, she told us it s summer the patio door is open this happens all the time . So when I politely asked her to close the patio door she became very aggressive and asked me why I was making such a big deal about it .. well idk about you but I would rather not have rodents running around the floor below my table as I m trying to eat. I just rolled my eyes and she walked away, the door was still open and a few minutes later we witnessed more mice run in from outside along the dining room floor. We asked to speak with the manager again and she stormed out and continually asked us why we were making such a big deal out of this . Again . I personally do not like rodents running around my dining room floor but hey teach their own I guess? We had asked again if they could just shut the patio garage door and she kept refusing and saying it s summer, this will happen . At this point we asked for the bill. After we paid, the manager demanded why we had not tipped her. I responded by saying well why would I tip you, when you weren t even the one serving me to begin with, and the fact that you did nothing to correct this situation, I wouldn t eve leave you a penny if they were still in circulation. I will give credit to the kitchen staff as food was still very tasty. But this place definitely needs to get a new manager or get their current manager up to date on customer service skills.
Nice
The service was slow and and one point had to find them to get my bill. Food was tasty. However my date and I got put off of our food due to the MOUSE we saw running around on the floor! Came almost a foot away from our table before it scurried off under a nearby dark table. Would not recommend until they adjust their hygiene standards.
All good. Great food and atmosphere. Turns into a mini party on the weekend, and they play many sports games. A gem in High Park.
The restaurant only accepts cash, and the onsite ATM machine charged $2 service fee, which was a big inconvenience. I tried their #78 Special Ph (Ph D c Bi t), which came in only one size. The dish had a decent broth and chewy noodles, but nothing out of the ordinary. The place looked more like a bar than anything. Considering the food quality and price, Cafe Pho Nho is serviceable for a casual meal, but its not a place I would eagerly return to or recommend to others.
I love their spring rolls, so crunchy and delicious. Pho soup was so flavourful I didn t even add any condiments. Also I don t think I ve ever had pho where the lighting is nice and dim - eclectic mix of sports bar and pho but has that neighborhood gem feel! Everyone was so nice - I ll be coming for my winter warm up pho bowls often!
Great food, good price and friendly staff. 5/5
Cozy vietnamese eats for winter. Great place to have a beer, some fish sauce chicken wings and watch a sport game too.
Like a celebration of flavour in every dish! The pho was so good I forgot to snap a photo. Food is absolutely delicious in a warm atmosphere with epic music. Loved the ambiance, hospitality, and deliciousness. Very happy to discover and already excited to come back.
surprisingly good and inexpensive pho. nice relaxing location. friendly staff
My family has been going here for years. Great/fresh quality, size of dishes and value. The owner is always so warm and remembers us.
Delicious and flavourful food!
My boyfriend and I just had dinner at this place. He said it s the best broth he s had. I think it was really good too. Good music again and sweet servers. Definitely coming back!!
Yup yup yum yum. Let s go fill my tum tum at Nho
Easily best Pho in Toronto!! Great experience
This place is a god damn party. Delicious pho too!
I chose this place because its highly rated on here. My experience is terrible. Ordered gluten free noodle but still got it served. Soup was horrible tasteless with random pieces of meat thrown in. Server was not attentive. I waited forever to put in my order. I normally never write a review but this was the second time I went to this restaurant and the first time was horrible as well. Needless to say I wont be going back.
The food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun - especially if theres a Leafs game on! The waitresses are friendly and accomodating. Will definitely go again.
Fantastic! We went to watch the game over dinner and the food and service were excellent!!!!!! Loved it and would go back. Fish sauce chicken wings were a hit, so was everything else. Good selection of beers albeit just commercial ones. One word of caution: It is a cash-only establishment. Parking: None.
Shrimp and pork papaya salad is the literal best in the city All the Viet food is perfect Cash only
The Vietnamese cuisine was a pleasant disappointment, we had a great time...
Amazing time for Friday-Sunday great vibe and music! The food always tastes fresh and delicious! Everyone feels welcomed and at home! Thank you Pho Nho!-
Great place! Amazing Thai style mango salad and Pho. Easy pre-order. Cash only.
Food here is so freaking good. Pho broth and noodles were top tier, I just wish the service was a quicker. The Bahn Mi was also really tasty and surprisingly filling. One of the servers forgot about us after asking for the bill and we waited about 20mins before I asked another girl who rushed to get us sorted (I felt bad though as it seemed like she was about to go on break). They also only accept cash, which is a bit of a pain since I rarely ever carry any on me, but they do have an ATM in-house.
Food is not the best but is good enough to make me happy for the stay. Service is great and I love the feeling for dining at this restaurant.
Really like this cozy chilled spot. Vietnamese food was authentic and tasty would definitely come back. Parking: Parking is just on the side theirs also a sign says for Pho Nho customers only.
Loved it here. No frills, great food and service.
Absolutely love it here!!! Our go-to spot when craving pho or even just for a pitcher on the patio.
Consistently my favourite place to get veg pho in Toronto. Yum!
Great prices..staff is on point..and the food is amazing
Fantastic. 2AM vibes + Pho is all I could ever ask for in this life.
Don t judge the restaurant by its exterior or interior. This one offers exceptional pho. It s a nice little family business.
Such a nice little surprise. This place has some really good eats and good prices. Pad Thai was delicious! Only cash accepted. Very friendly and efficient servers working here. I felt super welcomed, and food was served prompt.
Slow but friendly service, nice space, good food but wouldnt come here specifically for the pho. Im sure the other dishes are great though!
Loved it ! Food was amazing and delicious. The servers were so nice service was fast and they attended to our every need.
Wow! First time here for a birthday gathering and it s a hidden gem! Loved the restaurant vibes, cool big screen TVs with sports games and a beautiful patio! The menu is huge with lots of items to order! The food was delicious and the prices are also very fare and affordable! Most importantly, best is their customer service! Very kind lady and gentleman that was helping us out. Very friendly and kind and kept checking in on us! I m telling everyone about this place and forever will be coming back!
We often come for the duck salad, the mussels and the draught beer There must be a reason for this little cozy place last for 20 years, despite covid. The owners and the servers are very friendly and attentive. You always feel welcomed here. Thumbs up
The restaurant is open late and cash only. Good vibe at the patio. Love the place, will definitely be back.
Decent Vietnamese food and decent service. Cash only.
Best pho place I ve been to. Always impressed with the quality and flavour
Dog friendly patio with decent Vietnamese cuisine. Duck salad is a must try.
Place is ok. But make sure youre not starving. I wait close to 30 min for my meal and it wasnt busy.
The food is amazing. This is our go to place for pho. We also highly recommend the fish sauce wings and spring rolls, the best we ve had in Toronto!
I ordered the bun bo hue and it was delicious! I love finding new spots in the city for Vietnamese food. Everything was amazing from the gentlemen who served me to the food and the restaurant ambience. Definitely recommend and will be back again!
Pho Nho is a great local spot. The food is bang on. The chicken wings in fish sauce is a must.
Donna was absolutely amazing, her hospitality skills are incredible! Food was a 10/10 & so was the vibe. I d definitely recommend this spot!
Never waited 40 minutes for pho before. This was my first. The special pho was very mediocre with small amounts of the meats i.e. 1 beef ball, 1 tripe, maybe a small tendon, and two slices of beef. The pho dau bo near me is a hundred times better. Better service, portions, quality, and price.
Really great food and service! Please note that the margarita contains dairy and a lot of mint.
Best Pho in Toronto!
My favourite Pho restaurant. The spring rolls are amazingly delicious. Hidden gem.
Absolutely love this spot! Terrific, authentic flavour. The pho broth is one of the best in the city, lemongrass chicken is super delicious too. The coconut shake was on point! Service is kind and efficient. Can t wait to go back
A great Vietnamese and fusion resto, with a nice covered patio front and side. The rice plates are fantastic (recommended: the lemongrass chicken and the grilled chicken and pork combo plate). The Vietnamese coffee is delicious (hot or iced) and the fruit shakes are yummy (the coconut shake is to-die for). Great, friendly service, and I think at least part of the patio is accessible. The pho soups come in generous servings, and are a great winter warm-up.
Delightful escape into a tiny island of Vietnam. Lovely service, delicious fresh authentic food, and heated patio.
Our Pho Go To Place. We love this lovely little restaurant. Cannot wait for patio on the summer.
Great food. Love the Pho obviously. Service is a tad slow, but worth it.
Very loud - with tiled floor and partly tiled walls, the tv should not be that loud. High energy. We ordered a beef dish (excellent) and a chicken dish -- with bones and gristle. Stick with beef! Natural light is poor but that cant be helped!
Food so so... , friendly staff, ambience not so good.
Super nice and kind people! They made my birthday special with surprises. Thank you!Huge portion of delicious Vietnamese food served quickly.strongly recommended.
I came here late one night and dined in and ordered the Mi Xao Singapore Noodles.
Excellent food. Slow but friendly service.
Get the fresh spring rolls, it comes with an amazing peanut sauce that you can then put in your vermicelli for a delicious experience. Drinks are great too especially the iced lychee. Bring cash cuz they don t accept card. Don t sit on the patio cuz the tables are slanted.
Nice family run restaurant, we typically do take out and sometime eat in. Eat in service is not cosistant, sometimes takes too long to get your order, but the food is typically delicious and nutritious.
Nice spot when craving Vietnamese at night. Staff are super friendly. Had the lemongrass chicken with rice and chicken wings with fish sauce, both delicious! Had the special pudding with coconut milk -- was a bit sweet. Will be back to check out other menu items!
Food is always good and they always play awesome music!
This a hidden gem!! The place is homey and welcoming. The owner and workers are very kind and accommodating. We ordered beef pho, avocado shake, fried spring rolls and chicken bah mi. Everything was better than I expected. The broth tasted way better than I expected - rich with flavour and did not need any extra sauces added. The avocado shake was made from REAL avocados as some phos use the powder only. The chicken bah mi was delicious with a soft French bun. Their fried spring rolls is their OWN and came with peanut toppings. Will definitely return!! Thank you again for the amazing dinner
Food is delicious! Service is available to!
Ive been going to Pho Nho for years. Wait times for your food can be varied! If you are starving, ask the server what can come quickly to whet your appetite. The food is fantastic and satisfying! They often play classics from the early 2000s and have multiple large screens showing sports or music videos. A wide selection of on-draft beer, cans and mixes. Washrooms are clean and individual.
Best pho Ive had in Toronto.
I m Vietnamese and to me, some of the dishes here are ok. But some of them are not authentic (ex: lotus root salad, we never have celery in lotus root salad like this). The waiting time is disappointing. One time we have to wait for 45 mins for our first dish
My place to go
Food was so delicious and service was quick !! Went there a couple of times and never disappoints.
Priced on the higher side for Viet food, and they got one of our orders wrong (though apologetic). Service was slow so we chose to just stick with the wrong order. My vermicelli was very good, the pork/egg/rice dish was just alright. Patio vibe was lovely and the house lagers were great. Cash only, but there is an ATM as others mentioned. Overall we didnt mind this place but likely wouldnt be back.
Very good service. Great food.
Absolutely love this spot Donna was very friendly and professional. The food was so delicious and full of flavour, we cant wait to go back! Parking: Parking along street Kid-friendliness: Music not very loud and staff are very polite!
Came around 1am for pho. Its cash only but they have an atm inside. Very reasonably priced for the food. Pho is filling and has good taste. Overall an underrated late night eats place.
0 stars if I could worst Vietnamese food ever. service was slow also the food took an hour. The dough was hard as rock almost broke my teeth eating it. The worker said it s because you didn t put in the soup clearly the dough is over cooked and old. She definitely didn t care at all. If you re reading this go elsewhere.
I used to get take out here about once a week; absolutely loved it. Sad to say they ve really heavily lowered their standards. Tiny, broken, short noodles is no way to serve pho. Food has become very bland and uninspired. Feels like it s done on an assembly line. Not what it once was.
Menu item 138 what a mind blowing soup .absolutely tasty and what I was looking for in this cold weather .Loved it!!
What a gem! It doesnt look like much on the outside but this multi-generational family run restaurant prepares everything with heart. I love the Hot and Sour soup and the Mango salad. The prices are rediculously low.
My only issue was the place didn t take card, but otherwise the food was fantastic and worth having cash on hand. Great little spot, not a fancy place but worth a visit.
Great spot! Best vegetarian pho I have found. Staff are very sweet. Busy spot and its super super fun to watch Raptors games here!!! The energy is unmatched!
My favorite place
This has got to be one of the top 3 Vietnamese joints in the city! Always impressed and satisfied with the food and service here. CASH ONLY!
Food is not Vietnamese authentic. Serving is incredibly slow and portion size is slightly small. One of the staff spilled fish sauce all over my clothes. In general, would not bring friends over next time.
This place is a hidden gem. Unassuming. Delicious spring rolls and fresh rolls. Classic import beer selection. Great service. We had a blast on the covered patio on rainy Friday night.
Friendly vibe
Good patio for drinks
Very delicious, huge portions, cash only!
Food was good, but waited an hour for my food. Was not worth the wait.
Had the rare beef pho - Food quality pretty low...
Simply amazing, so smart that there also a bar, and sells drinks, and opens late during covid, all other pho restaurants are closed.
The food quality is good but you should expect long waiting time :3
Great pho! Fresh wraps are awesome as well
Great service, food was quick with large portions. *Caution* the shrimp & vegie rolls are huge They offer their menu to view on your device with several scan locations. But would suggest looking at it prior very large menu over 130 food items. Patio was nice, inside was clean Reminder, cash only ATM inside of needed. Enjoy!
Loved sitting on a comfortable, spacious patio. Their house beer is very affordable and tasty. Their vegetarian options have a lot to choose from. I enjoyed veggie spring roll vermicelli bowl and would definitely order it again! A kind and efficient service team made the experience even better.
Good place for drinking late night. It was not too crowded by the time we visited. Remember to bring some cash as they take cash only right now.
Took quite awhile for pho which is unusual but the broth and pho were excellent
First time we visited was nice second time not so much service was inattentive and when we wanted to sit outside they put us behind in what looked like a murder house instead of just telling us the patio was full. We opted inside and the food took almost 45-1hr to get their. They substituted the main ingredients of bun Bo hue(beef stew, with slow cooked beef) with pork without telling us. Simple courtesy things could have been done like notifying us. Not coming back.
We love this place, service is always great. Portions are huge, food is tasty and alcohol is not expensive. But they only accept cash (ATM inside).
Ive been coming here for 10+ years now. Never failed me. Always amazing service and amazing food. Truly a huge part of my upbringing. Lots of love to Donna, shell always brighten your day.
Unforgettable, had a good time here and good memories.
Great Pho.
Great place for Pho. We ordered cocktail drinks and it was fun. The service was great.
Another hidden gem in the city. Amazing food, home made spring rolls, good pho soup, and nice beer selection on tap. Always a go to when in the area. Careful as its cash only.
A new restaurant. A restaurant where you can enjoy a glass of beer and delicious noodles
Simple place. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Large portions. And cash only!
Love this place. Tasty Pho along with other dishes. Try the wanton soups with egg and glass noodle with seafood, realllly good! Solid beer choices on tap, including their own lager, which isn t bad. Staff are super friendly and service is quick. Prices are very reasonable. In the summer it also has a great little patio, though does get a little noisy from Dundas, but same can be said anywhere in the city with a patio.
Surprisingly cool vibe. Cozy and excellent food. Very affordable for a great value!
Not suitable if you want to eat in a quiet place. Because its a bar, its noisy and theres always a lot of people. However, if you want cheap and delicious Vietnamese food, I recommend it. There seems to be a lot of traditional Vietnamese food.
I love this place; the broth of the pho is perfectly seasoned and I make sure to slurp the whole bowl down to the last drop everytime. I also order an extra pho broth if I do take-out. They ONLY TAKE CASH! So please keep this in mind if you decide to visit. (there is an ATM inside, So no worries if you forget)
Appetizers (1 order of spring rolls) took about an hour to arrive. My husbands food came out 10 mins before mine. Ordered vegetarian noodles that had an odd taste but could just be personal preference. The wait for the appetizers and food killed the whole experience for me. Staff was pleasant.
Lovely little place with good food and fast service. Cozy and great for a casual date
Hands down the best vegetarian pho and fresh rolls Ive ever had. A lot of different types of veggies in the pho and they dont skimp on them like a lot of places do. The price is great for the portion you get. Ill be going here often
Good spot to drink beers in front of well you wait for pho #covidgang
Easily the best spot for Pho and Vermicelli in HP/Roncy. My favs are the Five Colour Vermicelli, Pho Dac Biet and their Spring Rolls. Very decent assortment of beers, which is rare for a Vietnamese resto.
Accidentally came here on Superbowl Sunday once and realized they took wild wing spillover, and played sports on their jumbo tv. Jumping to when the raptors got into the playoffs, we came very often because it was an exciting atmosphere without the testosterone of a sports bar. We probably had their vegetarian pho about 2 times a week for a month. Very nice local place to have a quiet dinner... or a loud one.
Amazing service and really great food! They have this low key amazing patio which really makes the difference in the neighborhood. Theyre really accommodating and wonderful people. Cant wait to go back!
Would have love to try the food, we waited for 1 hr to get our food. We never got it, the waiter did not even come to check on us, ended up walking out.
Took over 1 hour to receive bland and underwhelming food. We were the only table in the restaurant. The servers were not apologetic in any sense
Hands down best grilled pork vermicelli and spring rolls. We always get a skewer of bbq shrimp added to our order; really nice. Weve been coming for years. Love the ambience, the cool vibe, music, and the friendly service too. Glad to see them open again & that all is well with them.
Pho was good and so was the ban mi sandwich. The spring rolls was a bit to greasy that day, looks like they need to change their frying oil. (Saw small black bits hanging on the rolls) Usually they spring rolls are good too. Over all good.
I called for a pan fried meat and seafood chowmein, and it was one of the tastiest things Id had.. Good place with a good vibe..
Food is outstanding (best wings in the city). Tremendously friendly service and hospitality from Donna and her crew, cold beer, what more could you ask for?
Best Bahn Mis in town
Delicious food (had pho soup and rice bowls), great beers all in a pub atmosphere. Servers attentive and friendly. Loved it.
good beer and good food
The fresh spring rolls and beef Pho was delicious. Good prices and good food
Bad service
Super casual place, great food and comfortable atmosphere. Cash only but they have an ATM.
Best vegetarian pho!
Cozy, good food.
