Green Bamboo Vietnamese Cuisine in Toronto

Loved this place so much. Just moved into the neighborhood, and was craving some warm soupy food. Their portions are generous, and the waiter and owners are all super welcoming and nice to chat with. They speak cantonese too! Their cold shrimp wrap and sauce was DIVINE.

Always a go to spot for pho. It is so delicious, a fantastic portion of meat (rare beef, tendon, meatball, tripe), and very nice and friendly staff.

Is really frustrating that take long time to get the food (food to go, not the first time). The woman said 10 minutes when took 30 minutes. How in rush hour they have just 2 employees? not good, they look stress and tired. I got fried rice with shrimp, but there are just 2 shrimp in the whole plait. The fried rice used to be better, better served and better taste, not any more

This place blew our expectations. Food was delicious, very filling and quick to serve! We each had an appetizer and pho and it was more than enough. There is street parking close by for anyone driving here. I ll definitely be back here again! 5/5, highly recommend trying!

A very unpleasant experience. Their toilet stinks and you can see that it has not been cleaned for a long time. They have only two employees, who are unable to cover the necessary capacities. I waited an hour for my pho soup. All customers were not satisfied.

I was visiting friends nearby and needed a pho ASAP to bring home to a sick family member. Green Bamboos chicken pho did the trick.

Pho and bbq fried rice have been my staple here. Mango shake and iced Viet coffee are well crafted. Husband and wife team have won me over with taste, portions and friendliness. Service is prompt and price is right.

I had a tremendously positive experience at Green Bamboo. For under $16, they give you a pretty large amount of food. Big eaters will be fully satisfied after their meal, and many people may be able to split the meal into 2 and take half home for later. My pad thai was delicious, and the spring rolls were some of the best Ive ever had. The staff were kind and extremely quick to get us whatever we needed. This will likely become my go-to Vietnamese spot in the area.

Spring roll so good

Ive tried their food 3-4 times now, and it has been consistently good. I really enjoy the salt and pepper wings, and the Saigon fried rice.

Every staff member was very friendly and efficient. I got a warm welcome the second I stepped in. I ordered a chicken noodle soup which was very nice. The portion size shocked me a little. I ordered a regular but what I got was huge. I thought it was a mistake for a second. I enjoyed the broth. The price was also very reasonable. I will be returning to try other dishes!

1. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. 2. Food is good. The master chef cooks it with heart. 3. Its between Dufferin and Lansdowne TTC subway stations. Also, its next to a Coin laundry, very convenient. 4. Operation hours are long. Better than other early-closing restaurants especially in Dufferin mall. 5. Tables are big. Friendly for the whole family to come.

I came to this restaurant on a whim and had a pleasant experience. The host was extremely friendly upon arrival and the prices were incredibly affordable. I ordered the beef pho and the extra large portion was very generous. I would recommend to anyone looking for a warm tasty bowl of pho.

Thai style rare beef is AWESOME. The soup is amazing, the owner is so friendly, it was like dining in a relative s house lol.

I ordered spring rolls and grill pork rice. Nothing taste like Vietnamese food. The spring rolls absolutely the Chinese style, and come with plain dipping source, no chillies no garlic. The rice was dried, and the grilled pork was tasteless and served with a sweet dressing like teriyaki, but this is not related to Vietnamese cuisine at all. Food here looks like Chinese food. For authentic Vietnamese food lover, I will not recommend this restaurant.

Everything Ive eaten here is really delicious! The bun is amazing chock full of vegetables sprouts and meat with fresh lemongrass, vietnamese coriander and herbs. Springs rolls and Pho were delicious too. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pho was delicious, with deep-fried tofu, lots of bok choy and greens in the soup--more vegetables than other Vietnamese restaurants provide.

Only reason it wasn t 5 stars was because the service wasn t great, had to practically hunt down the server and it was NOT busy at all. I think they may have just forgotten about us cause our table was sorta tucked away. Other than that amazing pho!

Just moved to the area and so happy to find a good local Viet restaurant that serves great pho! The broth is not overly salty and balances flavor and aromatics really well. The staff was super enthusiastic and friendly. We also ordered the fried spring rolls and the tricolor drink. Everything was great!

I had a lovely meal here with my toddler. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating and the food was delicious. Prices and portions are terrific. We will definitely be back. Had a wonderful experience at Green Bamboo Vietnamese Restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious, I had stir fried beef with soy sauce curry, Id get it again! Some nice appetizers we tried were the spring rolls which were amazing and deep fried with some fish sauce. Then we had the grilled beef wraps also with fish sauce(super good especially if you dont want deep fried) Lastly we had the sweet and sour chicken with pineapple and red and green peppers which Ill be going back for, no doubt. Not enough good things to say about this place my girlfriend and I stumbled upon, service top notch!

The original location was back in Scarborough. After they had closed down and moved years ago, I decided to look them up recently and I found this gem again. I went with my favourite item from back then: Thai Style Beef Noodle Soup. Tastes the same way it used to, PERFECTION. I also had an avocado smoothie, creamy, smooth, light, no added sugar. The lady server is very kind and friendly, full of smiles. Good portion sizes for all items. For anyone in the local area wanting to try delicious Vietnamese cuisine, come give them a try.

Guys. This place is not vietnamese cuisine. The menu s even written in chinese. I tried beef stew, my friend had grilled pork vermicelli. It took more than half an hour waiting and they taste so bad.

The Pho Dac Biet special noodle bowl never disappoints me. I love it every time I go. The portions are always big and they give a lot of meat per serving. This time I got the Vietnamese ice coffee with condensed milk as well and this place makes it JUST the way I like it. I typically like my coffee a bit on the sweater side and she made it exactly to my taste. I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone who lives in the area. It s a small but friendly family restaurant and the lady at who served us is the kindest most genuine person. Please go give this spot a try I promise you won t leave disappointed

Im so happy to have Green Bamboo in the neighbourhood. This amazing little restaurant features wonderful food, reasonable prices and super friendly and always smiling staff. Everything Ive tried arrived fresh and wonderfully presented and the portions are large and oh so tasty. The Grilled Meat Wraps are my new favorite with super fresh contents and huge portions. You also cant go wrong with their classic Grilled Pork & Spring Roll w/Vermicelli, being one of the best Ive ever tasted. I usually get take-out and love that they use white plastic containers making them a lot more environmental compared to the black plastic take-out containers so many other places use, that cant be recycled. Bravo Green Bamboo! 10% off for paying with cash is another bonus. Dont miss you, try Green Bamboo today, you wont regret it!

Shrimp cakes are not the way of cooking that I expect in the restaurants in Hong Kong. They are really like deep fried muffins but put one shrimp on top of it.

Had the Fried Satay Rice Noodle and the Curry Fried Rice noodle It was OK nothing special. A bit too much grease in both dishes. The portions were pretty big. A good deal overall.

Rare Beef Pho and Spring Rolls!

Best pho Ive had in Toronto. The staff were very friendly and the price was incredible - while food prices are soaring, their prices feel like theyve been preserved from pre-Covid.

This is my new favourite pho in the Bloordale area, and possibly the city. I got pho dac biet (B1 special combo beef pho). Noodles are chewy, abundant portions, broth is clear and flavourful without being too salty. Toppings were good and they included a lot of tendon which I like. Definitely recommend. One thing I would suggest is having the vietnamese dish names in the menu.

I recently dined at Green Bamboo Vietnamese restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! What really stood out to me, though, was the outstanding service. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than willing to accommodate my dietary preferences and make recommendations based on my taste. In addition to the excellent food and service, the pricing was quite reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of the experience. Green Bamboo Vietnamese restaurant has undoubtedly become one of my favorite spots for Vietnamese cuisine, and I cant wait to return. If youre in the mood for delicious Vietnamese food served with a smile, this is the place to go!

Just enjoyed there lemon beef with vermicelli noodles and spring rolls. Huge portions, springs rolls are absolutely amazing. I also tried a soursop smoothie which was good as well. We need more of these in Toronto and less chains

I discovered this restaurant maybe a month or 2 ago and I get it about once or twice a week now cause its so good and affordable. My favorite personally is the Shrimp Fried Rice but you cant go wrong with any of the Fried Rice dishes on the menu. First thing I tried here was the stir fried beef with soy sauce curry which was also delicious. The owner is very friendly and hospitable as well and this is a family run business which makes it very easy to support so Id definitely recommend this place to anyone in the neighborhood its one of the few hidden gems left on Bloor Street that is affordable. I definitely recommend you try this restaurant out!

Green Bamboo is a no-frills gem! While the decor is simple, the Vietnamese food here is top-notch. The pho is rich and comforting, the spring rolls are crispy, and the banh mi is satisfying. Theyre quick with service too. If you want authentic flavors without the fancy atmosphere, Green Bamboo is a must-try!

The food is excellent , absolutely delicious , best brekfast. The tables sit is vast , comfortable, bland and little alienating and also the staff there are very much friendly. Will visit there more.

Came here with a friend, and will not forget about it! Was looking to try pho for the first time, and I really liked it! I ordered the combo beef (can t remember the exact name, but it was B1 on the menu). My friend and I both split the curry rolls and I LOVEDD them, was contemplating getting some for takeout. I couldn t, however, bc the pho portions were pretty big! I also got some coffee with condensed milk :) overall, this place is great and I m glad my first time trying Vietnamese food went so well! Additionally, the staff were so nice! Especially the lady up at the front, you re a superstar!

Last night I tried the honey chicken wings. They were delicious. Everything new I try is better than the last. The staff is kind and friendly. I eat here at least once or twice a week. Im never disappointed.
