Bright-green walls adorn this North Vietnamese eatery known for its compact menu of classic dishes.
Really disappointed by the quality of the pho and Buddhists treat (one of three vegetarian items they have on the menu). The pho brother had flakes of dried lemongrass and huge chunks of ginger, both are not traditional in a rich bone based broth. The last thing I want in a mouth full of noodles is a chunk of spicy ginger, absolutely not pleasant at all. For the Buddhists treat, it was extremely overpriced for a stir fry containing a small amount of noodles and an over abundance of celery. More mushrooms and noodles would be nice. The overpowering scent of celery just stayed in the air for the entire meal. Overall, not authentic at all and a huge let down. Two mains for $50 including tax & tip. Also, tea is not included and costs extra as it's made to order. That's not standard for a Vietnamese restaurant either.
Come here almost weekly for the past 5 years. Absolutely delicious every single time no matter if it’s takeout or dine in. Portion sizes are extremely affordable (especially for students), is healthy, and often large enough that you can take home spares. The staff is an infinity/10 we absolutely love them they are amazing and extremely hard working. Support local because this restaurant deserves it!!!!!!!
I let my Vietnamese friend do all the ordering. We started with the Nom Ngo Sen (fresh shrimps and lotus root salad) $9.75. It was so fresh and tasty. Then came the Cha Gio Cha Muc (spring roll and calamari patties) $10.75. The rolls were massive and the patties savory. We just ate enough to taste so we wouldn’t be full for our main course. We shared the Cha Ca (Hanoi style grouper with dill and shrimp paste served with vermicelli and salad) $19. The fish was tender with the dill and salad adding freshness and more layers of flavor. The one criticism we had was the dipping sauce for the spring rolls, calamari patties and grouper. No matter how much we added or dipped we could not taste it. It was almost like water. We ended up dipping in the leftover dressing from our salad. At the end our server explained the dipping sauce was only vinegar and water with no fish sauce for the non Vietnamese customers. She told us we could have requested it. I wish she had told us before we ate all our food! Despite that we really enjoyed the food. We came here on a weekday for an early dinner. We were the only ones dining inside and sat by the window catching glimpses of life passing by on Queen Street. We rode our bikes but there is street parking available.
Favorite Viet resto in the city, I love the room and the back patio.. like I've transported back in time to indo China. Food's terrific as well. Must try the shrimp and lotus root salad when you're here... so fresh! #18 chicken pho is always my go-to.
I never thought I could find a pure Vietnamese restaurant with a Northern style like this in Canada. Strongly impressed by the way they decorate and furnish. I've been to Hanoi once and never thought I would see that image in this place. The food is 10/10, I can feel how they cherish and take care of each ingredient, even the dishes, bowls they imported from Vietnam (according to what they say). The shop owner was extremely enthusiastic and cheerful, I was treated kindly like a family member. I was even more impressed when I went down to the washroom, because the LGBT-friendly decorated made me feel very warm. If you are truly a lover of food and cozy luxury restaurants, you definitely have to try it once.
Westernized Vietnamese food catering to the demographic of the area. I don't recommend eating here unless your palette is atune to only bland food. Will not be coming back. Overall, the food was lack luster and unauthentic which took us by surprise since the decor of the space leans very proud of the Vietnamese culture (minus some odd paintings). We ordered - The Jackfruit Smoothie. The colour of the smoothie was completely white indicating the jackfruit used is frozen and young. That attributes to the bland taste. I don't recommend this drink. - The Vietnamese Iced Coffee. A generous portion of coffee and condensed milk! Too much for one sitting. I'd recommend getting it to go. - Number 23 Ga Nuong Xa Sua Dua (Chicken with Lemongrass and Coconut Milk) with Vermincelli. Large portion of chicken, veggies and noodles. Chicken thighs used were quite fatty. The dish came with a side of fish sauce, which tasted like water. I don't recommend this dish. - A side of pho broth. Again, a VERY generous portion. I'm unsure what the vision is for their pho broth. It tasted over boiled, no beef flavour, and flat. I noticed pieces of floating ginger, shrimp shell and dill. I don't recommend this. - Number 8 Bun Canh Tom Hanoi (Spicy Shrimp with Lemongrass and Tamarind). It tastes like they used the same broth as the side of pho broth ordered except with MUCH MORE dill. The mussels were not cleaned properly aka SANDY! The shrimp was overcooked. I don't recommend this dish. When paying, I noticed the cook microwaving spring rolls and then putting them on a plate. I doubt they were freshly made. Service: We sat ourselves and it took the one server 5 minutes to notice we sat down and bring menus. There was 1 other table and someone waiting for a pick up order - not busy. The server was nice while taking our order. We did notice she told another table that the food is Westernized and to brace themselves. I'm sure that table was expecting more authentic flavours like us. Atmosphere: The space was decorated nicely. The bathroom was clean and not wet like other basement bathrooms. Price $60 for 2 people including tax and tip. Not worth it.
The backyard patio is simple and cute. The atmosphere is great on the summer evening. We got the Hanoi house pho. The broth taste good but lacks a bit depth. The noodles is great. We got hen, an appetizer of baby clams with rice crackers. Very hefty portion makes it extremely shareable. Clams would be great with alcohol. Lots of flavour and nice spices. However the texture of the clam and the rice cracker didn’t go as well as I would like, maybe if the cracker was more of a crispy variety instead of chewy. It somehow tasted better after pho vs as an app before the main. The service is amazing and friendly! Definitely recommend for a good time and good food.
My favorite pho spot in the east end. I've been here a handful of times and have always gotten a seat during lunch and dinner. They have 2 locations and I've only been to this location on Queen. Everything on the menu is delicious and comes in good portions! Highly recommend their spring rolls and Pho Dat Biet. Their special pho comes with chunks of ginger and lemongrass which I haven't seen in pho before. Beware you might bite into the ginger chunks. Highly recommend and would come back as it's a go to restaurant in the east end.
We love Hanoi.
Delicious food, amazing staff. Will be back 100%! Vegetarian options: Veggie & vegan Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, gluten free, vegan Kid-friendliness: Great for kids! Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible !
Tasty.
My friend and I come here often for Pho and the service and food never disappoints! Thank you!
Poor Dirty Yuk ---- Go south on Broadview from gerrard.... dine in a Wok n roast Chinese BBQ... MUCH better Vegetarian options: Yes they have veggie soup with meat broth Dietary restrictions: The food will make you sick.... Low volume.... low quality Kid-friendliness: Dirty place Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs
Excellent food, excellent service. I forgot my take out box at the restaurant and the lovely waitress with the purple nails crossed the road to deliver it to me! She went above and beyond and I will definitely be back!
Amazing food and service, and the patio is very cute.
Great food. Great service. Kinda low key. Just the way I like it.
Best Pho Ive had in a long time
Ordered from this place on Uber Eats tonight: 2 pork vermicelli and 1 curried chicken. The meat was super dry, as if it was cooked earlier and sitting under a heat lamp. Nothing had salt, it all tasted like cardboard, and no one finished their meal = compete waste of money.
Got the well done beef pho Beef was really really dry and kind of grainy and a bit discoloured, almost freezer burnt. Broth was fine but a bit underwhelming. Overall not bad but not too satisfying
Mid Bland pork & I never been to a Vietnamese restaurant that makes you pay extra for a spring roll on a rice/ vermicelli bowl. Personally would go to a more cozy spot Food : 2/5
I tried the spicy shrimp with lemongrass rice noodle soup. It was soooo good! More than I expected! Rich in flavour and reasonable price !
Delicious!! One of the best Pho in Toronto
We had lunch here, the food was good. The place is lovely. The service wasn t the best.
Without a doubt, Hanói 3 Seasons on Queen St. East is one of the best restaurants in Toronto. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is top-notch. Owned and operated by Vietnamese, it offers an authentic culinary experience. Whether youre visiting or living in Toronto, dont forget to check out this gem!
Authentic Vietnamese cuisine, fresh, aromatic which I enjoyed consistently for years. A bit dark inside .. it comes with the concept. Enjoy the wonderful little garden in the summer.
I had a buon with springroll dish and the springroll was cooked really well. Fish sauce couldve been a bit more flavourful. Ample amount of seating when we went on a weekday night in late winter.
Food was good but not authentic like some of the other spots in Toronto. Server seemed overworked as she had to manage the entire restaurant on her own. Would not recommend to bring younger kids here. They didn t have a high chair and the lighting was very dark so it was a bit hard to see. The chicken and rice dish was lacking flavour. The pho was good
This is such a cute spot, and the back patio in the summer is the best. My favourite is their Pho Dac Biet soup, but everything here is fantastic.
The PHO is phenomenal, very fresh and flavourful. Great service from the manager!
Great family owned, has been in the east end for long time. My goto place in the neighborhood!
Great place for Vietnamese. Staff and back patio are wonderful. 3 Seasons Special Pho is among the best I ve tried, including restaurants in Vietnam.
It s a terrible place. I ate so much and feeling terrible inside. This is a place where you will get food coma. But I ll come again and suffer.
Awesome place!
Cosy interior with lots of seating space. Ordered their recommended pho and got an appetizer - came quickly and was delicious! Large sizing - enough for two people, so had to do the appetizer as take away.
Super nice food!
Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at a hidden gem called Savor Haven. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance captivated me with its cozy yet sophisticated decor. The attentive staff provided exceptional service, offering insightful recommendations from the diverse menu. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing a perfect balance of flavors and innovative presentation. The chefs attention to detail was evident in every bite. Whether savoring a succulent steak or indulging in a decadent dessert, the overall dining experience at Savor Haven exceeded my expectations. The blend of excellent food, warm atmosphere, and top-notch service makes it a must-visit for any food enthusiast
Hanoi 3 Seasons is the best option if you want Vietnamese food, it doesnt matter if you want pho or platter, they have it all. The place was decorated for the lunar new year and looked very beautiful. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, always checking to see if we needed anything. I went on Sunday night and they were full so if 4 or more people plan to go, I recommend making a reservation.
Such fresh and generous servings and well-balanced flavours!
One of my favourites spots in the Leslieville/Beaches area. I always order the same dish: the Hanoi 3 Seasons Special. It comforts my soul.
Take out was less than underwhelming. Spring rolls were super greasy, had no taste and were huge (not a compliment unfortunately). Garlic beef and garlic chicken tasted like cheap fast Asian food with high prices. Not authentic either, not sure why it has such a high rating.
So good
Such a nice restaurant! The inside is tranquil and calming. The pho was great but a lot different from the Saigon places that I m used to. I believe it s made with lemongrass and that s the main difference.
Delicious food!
I and my Chinese friends went there hungry as it was quite late in the evening. We ordered Hanoi special Pho (don t remember the exact name), Bun bo Hue and some rolls. My Chinese friends love Pho so much, 2 of them even cook Pho at home weekly and they used to open a Pho restaurant in their hometown as well. They had to admit those were one of the best Pho and Bun bo Hue they have ever tried in Canada. I myself love the broth of Hanoi special Pho with lemongrass, although it would have been more legit if rice noodles used was fresh one. It has been hard for me to find pho of true Hanoian here in Ottawa, so anw it was a really deserving meal for all of us while visiting Toronto.
Probably the best pho in the world If not, definitely the best in Toronto
This old little resto is known for their fish noodle soup, quid paste fish paste noodle soup. Northern Vietnamese style offers less sweet which I like. Their broth is clear, mild in seasoning, yet it is good. Food
Underrated pho place out in lesleville. Their pho has a unique flavour of giner and spices. Their spring rolls are huge and service is great. Would highly recommend for vietnamese cuisine in the east end at reasonable prices.
Good raw beef pho!
Vietnamese soup at its finest is what we all had here. Just what youd expect.
Went to Hanoi 3 seasons after googling where to get bun bo hue. I went here with a friend and didn t need a reservation. The staff recommended me to try the calamari patties and it was delicious! I also got the spring rolls and Bun Bo hue ( slightly spicy )!! I really enjoyed it , and left satisfied! I wish though that they had a bit more toppings in the bun Bo hue besides beef shank! Will be back for sure!
Really tasty pho broth, deep flavours. Worth checking out
Came here as per some google reviews! Great staff & a nice area to walk around. Food was decent, nothing remarkable. I m not sure I ordered the food that best represented the restaurant, so I think I ll have to come back!
Great food at a good value. Plenty of seating includes a rear patio accessed through the kitchen.
Best Vietnamienne food I had ever. Their spicy clams are to die for. They have dishes I had never seen on other Vietnamese restaurant menus. So tasty!
Great food and service! Also very cute backyard patio!
Food always delicious and prepared the way I like it. We ask for dishes with just Bok Chou No noodles or rice. Great service.
Disappointing take out service, very clearly ordered and repeated what the order was over the phone, yet when we turned up only one meal was prepared ( the person taking the order at the restaurant said she was unsure about the order....so why not call and confirm?) We had to wait another 15 minutes for the second meal to be prepared, resulting in one meal being very hot and the other luke warm. At $22.00 per meal this was not dealt with satisfactorily. The food however was as always excellent. We stopped eating inside the restaurant a few years ago, as the atmosphere is very dated.
Love this cozy space that makes me feel tucked in, far away from the clamour of the busy city. In winter, steaming bowls of Pho with the freshest of basil and bean sprouts. In summer, the Spicy Clams with house-made black and white sesame puffy Rice Crackers are perfect. Black sesame ice cream, Mango ice cream, and Green Tea ice cream; I enjoy one scoop of each in a dish together!
We sat in the back patio. Inside also had really great sitting. Their food was Hanoi style so menu/flavour is slightly different from other pho places. Loved the freshness/quality/home-madeness of the food. You can see their busy kitchen and the cleanliness of it. Their avocado smoothie was so yum, i ordered two of it.
I visited the restaurant with a friend on a Saturday evening. I was rather surprised how empty it was. In fact, we were their first guests at the time. Not too much of a great sign in hospitality industry. We took our chance anyway. And boy! I shouldve listened to my guts. Really disappointed in the food. It has absolutely no flavors and so bland. I ordered fresh spring rolls and special Pho. The fish sauce was basically lemon and hot water. The Pho broth came out in rather dark color (ie. one way to judge its quality is to look for how clear the color of the broth). It was flavorless and tasted like boiling water and seasoning salt. Truth is the commercial Pho broth in supermarket is even better! I was overall shocked by its food quality. The two food staples I likely order when visiting a Vietnamese restaurant are a dish accompanied with fish sauce and traditional Pho. These dishes strongly indicate how good the restaurant (ie the chef) really is. And unfortunately, this restaurant fails so miserably with their food. This first visit will sadly be also my last!
Utterly disappointed. With that kinda of name and the cultural decoration, I was certain, I landed in Vietnam!!! Even though its fairly priced, the food is beyond blend. Im talking bun bo hue tasting like water. Chicken lemongrass with coconut tasting nothing close to it. Cant even taste the lemongrass or coconut. I dont know about the other reviews, but I am certainly not going back. I had 3 bites of each, paid my bill, tipped and left. This isnt vietnamese food. Do not go.
Friendly service. Dishes are not very large, but the price is also low. Feel free to have an appetizer. Nice meal.
Came in on a Saturday night. Place was pretty empty so we were seated immediately. The server was very nice, brought water and took down orders. The food however was a disappointment. We ordered spring rolls and fresh rolls. Both were tasteless. I ordered a beef soup noodle, the beef was dry and chewy, the stock needs more flavor. Overall, a disappointing meal.
Both of couldn t eat our meals. The food isn t good sadly
i went to pick up my take out, busy at 6 pm last friday. best vegan spring rolls Food
5 stars
Favourite Vietnamese spot in the city! Always fresh and sooo flavourful. I literally cannot go a week without it. Highly recommend - the food, service and atmosphere always 10/10.
We love what we ordered. The portion is really decent for us. It s really hard to find authentic Hanoian food here in Toronto. The server is also really nice. She literally brings joy and Hanoian moments back to us. We will definitely come back !
Restaurant has a cozy ambiance, situated right next to downtown toronto. Ordered the pho and it tasted great
My cousin recommended me this place and we were completely blown away! Everything was so so delicious we finished this so quickly. Their pho dac biet specialty is AMAZING. the soup is quite different than your typical pho dac biet, it had more of a kick and lemon grass-y flavour. I can see why my cousin is obsessed with it! The restaurant specializes in northern Vietnamese food and this reminded me so much of home (my mother is northern viet and she makes a lot of these dishes). Everything came out quickly and the cashier was super nice and helpful. I had the bun canh tom Hanoi, I actually never had this before so it peaked my interest. Super super yummy, it had a tamarind soup base (I prefer lighter soup bases) but it wasn t spicy at all! We also got the nom ngo zen (shrimp and lotus shoot salad) as an appetizer. We truly enjoyed every single bite and I now crave it every weekend!!
Good food, good service.
Their food and service both were great. The ambience was just perfect and laid back.we tried Cha Ca, shrimp rolls, and spicy tofu with basil. The food was fresh and we will go back their again.
Good food and generous portions!
All the food tasted great. The soup is flavor, wasnt too salty, and you must try the shrimp rolls that contain three fresh shrimp with vegetables!
A great Vietnamese restaurant in Leslieville. The chicken pho was delicious and tasty broth. The service was excellent. Extra points to the beautiful decoration of the ambience! It all makes it perfect for a solo, duo or group meal :)
Cute little Viet place on Queen East. Pretty good overall!
Delicious. Best Pho Ive ever tasted.
delicious food and really cute atmosphere! Well priced would come here again for sure!
Awful delivery portions - would never recommend
I was only here for a few minutes getting take out but I had to write a review because the lady serving me was SO friendly and kind. She was also very hard working! Service like this makes me feel so welcome and even at home in a restaurant :) I will be back for sure!
Great food, fair price, ambience is cozy and calm, I enjoyed my meal there. Delicious spring rolls and garlic beef.
My go to restaurant in the east end. I love this place, I ve been going for years! The food never disappoints. So delicious and comforting. The spring rolls, number 25 and 26 are our favs.
The patio is a quaint and tranquil space. The menu has a variety of seafood and meat options, with light and balanced flavours that are aromatic and fresh. The staff are all friendly. I love this place. You will love it! June/22. The patio is even better and recently renovated. The best service and Pho has a veggie broth option!!!
Came in about half an hour before closing. Service was speedy and food was delicious. Beautiful atmosphere
Ordered takeout from here so I can t speak to their service but got my order pretty quickly as they weren t busy. Pho was good but the broth was red in colour and did not taste like standard broth I ve had (I ve eaten from many Vietnamese restaurants). Broth tasted like it was made from raw meat and wasn t stewed long enough. I did like the amount of meat that was provided, and the temperature of the soup was great. But the broth is really the key piece of pho which is why I rated this 3.
I feel grateful for all the people who dont frequent here so that it remains a hidden gem! But no seriously, get there.. now. Incredible food and service. The backyard patio transports you to another realm.
This has quickly become my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto. The reviews convinced me to try them out. The experience did not disappoint. The front dining area was sparse but clean. I asked to be seated on the patio and was directed to walk through the kitchen to get to it. Wow. Amazing. The kitchen was clean, clean, clean as the two cooks prepped a massive bowl of shrimp and said hello as I passed through. Once out the back door I sat in a lovely patio area that felt private and leafy. Cozy spot. The server was super attentive. Brought me cold water and my drink order quickly. Then served me delicious pho and fresh rolls. Honestly, we are spoiled with decent pho in Toronto. This was as good as anyones. I would argue that it was among the best I have tasted. Great broth. Good portion. The pork fresh rolls were the best I have had. The thing about this place is that it is honest. They provide clean, simple, good food made by friendly people in a cozy place. Seriously, this could be the best Vietnamese restaurant in the city based on those criteria.
Lovely little Vietnamese place! Really great food. Definitely get the Grouper..Great back patio too!
Not bad
Great spot. Amazing food
The menue in Gerrard st is slightly different from the one on queen. The ambience is better at Queen street branch. And I prefer the food at Gerrard street. Overall, both places are good. The pho is same.
Really delicious cha ca. Friendly service and lovely patio.
Great service and great food. Was pleasantly surprised by a frosted mug for my Stella. Great spot!
Love their special pho. Melissa always prepare my order correctly(she is the best).
Really nice place with good food. Recommend.
Authentic northern Vietnamese!! Best in the city!
Not the best pho that i have tried. Very plain. I have to add a lot of spicy sauce n I normally dnt. The soup should have rich flavour but its not. Food is overrated.
Owners are really friendly and the food is fantastic.
Wow. My taste buds are so happy. The service over phone and while picking up was absolutely lovely. Such friendly staff thank you! My partner and I shared the chicken pho and the spicy shrimp lemongrass rice and we had plenty for two full meals each. Will be back again and again!
Best vegetarian pho in Toronto. I recommend the avocado milkshake too.
Ive been multiple times but their style just aint for me. The live music was good, and the service was fine.
Great food, Great service!
Probably the best Viet in Toronto. Great food and an amazing patio.
Best pho in Toronto! I have been going here with my family for over 5 years and the quality of the experience has never changed. I always go for the rare beef pho but I ve also enjoyed their spicy seafood pho and spring rolls.
I got take out from this restaurant for dinner tonight and I just want to say first off that the staff was very friendly although we only had a 2 minute conversation. But the food though... if theres anything I absolutely hate is spending money on food that does not taste good. I spent $37 on the shrimp salad roll, Buddhists Treat, and the Garlic Beef with noodles. They loaded up on the yu choy and the noodle portion was barely a cup each. Each dish had no flavour other than watered down soy sauce. They provided us with some sort of fish sauce vinaigrette for each item which also did not have much flavour. We were unfortunately hungry so we ate most of the food, but we were extremely disappointed. The other dishes, such as their pho, might taste decent but I will definitely not be coming back to find out.
Amazing food and great backyard patio Super friendly hostess and not pushy! 10/10
5 Star food
So fresh & tasty. Cute back patio. Great service. Been eating here for well over 10 years. Consistently delicious.
Rarer northern vietnamese cuisine, great service, great food- get the Cha ca, grouper with dill , its amazing! They have a beautiful patio in the back
Great good, little covered patio out back and tasty Vietnamese.
Great pho shop, worthy of including in regular rotation!
Terrible food. Terrible service. Place smells of garbage. Do not recommend.
This place will outlast any other restaurant on Queen st East.
Amazing PHO
5 star pho in leslieville area dont hesitate to eat here I will definitely come back soon 5 stars well recommended
Generous portions of authentic Vietnamese cuisine at an amazing price! Highly recommended. Leslieville gem!
This is my boyfriend and my go to spot on east end of dt and we love it! Everything is delicious with lots of flavour and spices. -their fried spring rolls have taro in them which is amazing -pho dac Viet has nice ginger touch to it -bun bo hue is another go to of ours
High quality pho bo with attentive staff, reasonable prices and pleasant ambiance.
The worst spring roll I ever tasted(nothing inside but noodles). Noodles are just plain.
There is an authenticity to the restaurant that is clearly seen in its friendly staff, delicious food and ambience. Its another awesome Leslieville destination restaurant. Summer meals in the back patio adds a sense of being somewhere else. Its a cool vibe!
Best Vietnamese restaurant in the neighborhood!
The food has great flavor and it was prepared very quickly during lunch time on a Friday! It was exactly what I needed on a cold winter day, this spot is a must try.
A pleasant surprise after we discovered that our favorite Leslieville tavern had shut its doors for good. This restaurant had modest seating excellent for singles, doubles and small groups of 5 or 6 people. If you desire proper vietnamese food that is savory, full of herbs and exotic spices that pair nicely with Stella Artois, this is the best place for you.
One of the best Vietnamese restaurant in town. Always fresh and very delicious. Fast and friendly service and they have a very cute small back patio for summer days!
Delish and good service
Two words: chicken pho. Best in town. Love these folks!
Delicious, authentic, and really friendly staff!
Adorable patio at the back of the restaurant. Say hi to everyone working in the kitchen, they re so kind and greet everyone like they re inviting them I to their own kitchen. Our server immediately noticed our table had a wobble and fixed it immediately. Ideal since we ordered the house special, a giant bowl of pho. Unlike other restaurants I ve been to, it only comes in one size here: generous. We ll be back to try more things on the menu!
I always prefer this location over the one in China Town because of its lovely patio. I really enjoy their North Vietnamese menu. Very different than your usual cheap, fast food style pho. Great food and extremely friendly service. Highly recommended.
Definitely refreshing taste. Friendly stuff.
great environment and food
Delicious pho on cute patio f/ kind service. We had the vegetarian pho and the chicken basil lemongrass, plus spring rolls. Definitely recommend and will be returning.
Love coming here, great pho friendly service and the cutest patio!
So delicious. I cannot get over it. Please open a new branch in the west too
TAKEOUT: Really delicious and fairly priced pho!!! Wish this was open right now to experience in dining service
Im absolutely blown away that this place has 4.5 stars. The stock/broth is sooooo bland, it literally tastes like nothing. The rice noodles are wide, under cooked, stuck together...you ask for pho tai and you get well done (mind you this is typical). Theres only one size, its the price of a XL/large but the size of a medium/small.....even their rice wraps dont have peanut sauce....Im trying to find a single thing thats good about this place. Overrated. Big time.
Cutest delivery boys!
Good food
Get the grouper or soups! Ive been coming herw for years, friendly staff ans cozy atmosphere.
I and my friend came for lunch one day, order 2 bowls of noodle soup. Mine was the rice noodle with shrimps, there was 5 shrimps with little rice noodle and the rest was the broth. My friends dish was Bun Bo Hue with 3 slides of beef. We did not expect to pay an adult-portion price ($12 or something), for even less-then-a-kids portion. Not to mention the server is in the kitchen most of the time, we had to come all the way to the counter to ask for stuff.
Pleasant Ly surprised!
I was treated to this location by my two lovely sisters for my birthday. I was struck by the range of tastes and the wonderful waiter. Im told this is one of the best places on the Block and Id have to agree
Amazing pho, but also really good dishes in general. The stir fries are light and healthy, but also huge portions. You wont leave hungry!
Always fantastic, friendly service. The food is inexpensive and so flavorful and fresh. In summer the back patio is a gem. The grouper with dill and noodles is a favourite, as well the sauteed bok choi with spicy chicken; the fried spring rolls are crisp and not overly greasy. A definite neighbourhood favourite!
Excellent food and service! Very well priced as well. Recommend the #13
Such nice staff and amazing pho
Awesome pho, the special is good
This place is a hidden gem. On the north side of Broadview and Gerrard, you ll be pleasantly surprised by the high quality and taste of the good food at this very clean and traditional Vietnamese restaurant and at a VERY reasonable price. There is only two pages to the menu which signifies limited quantity and top quality. The appetizers and sharing plates are cheaper than the main dishes which are only 12.50 and come with your choice of vermicelli or rice. The portions are robust yet not scarce, the freshness is apparent in the taste, the presentation is incredibly appealing, the food doesn t take too long to arrive nor does it come uncomfortably fast and the service is top of the line. You ll be greeted by a kind server who will usher you to your table and immediately serve you hot green tea in a nice ceramic mug that is still steaming from the cup. Nice Vietnamese music plays in the background. The design is simple and culturally relevant. And nobody rushes to bring you the cheque once you ve finished you can sit back and finish your tea cafe style. Eat here, and you ll be glad you did.
I typically dont give a full 5 stars but this place never disappoints and 100% deserves the rating. Always tasty, great prices and friendly staff, can you ask for anything more?! Definitely a must try in the east end.
Our go-to Viet restaurant in the east end. Reasonably priced and never disappoints
Staffs are very friendly and nice. The taste of the broth was okay. Not really authentic.
AmaZing Pho. Actually the best I ve ever had
Delicious food
Really great joint! Had their Pho and beef balls in their backyard patio, lots of shading to prevent heatstrokes. Also their coffee is superb.
Best Vietnamese food I had in Canada so far. Will be here more often from now on.
If you go inside the kitchen, there is a place where you can eat outside. The taste was generally good and the price seemed reasonable.
Overpriced, not tasty weird food that hard to eat, it was good before they renovated. Will never come back
Delicious!
good place for lunch.
Great place. Good location. Beautiful decor. Great food and a wonderful staff. Good options for vegetarians as well.
Awesome food
Excellent presentation. Delicious!
Really good Pho and rolls. Like the service and the decoration. Price is a little higher than what you may want to pay for a Vietnamese meal. It is worth it.
Best pho spot on the east side south of Mimis
I visited on a Saturday at around noon and the restaurant was not busy. There was a couple of other larger parties there finishing up their meal, and I was seated right away. Fresh roll - they were on the small side, it is decent for the price. Viet coffee did not come in a dripper, just a cup with some condense milk in there. The portion was small and tasted kind of weak, Id skip it for the $4 theyre charging. For the main, I had the Special 3 season pho. The broth is flavorful with very little spice. Three toppings are good, the tendon is well braised, tender and well seasoned. Theres a good amount of toppings. Overall, it is a decent place to visit for pho in the area.
Not kid friendly, no high chairs or boosters. Food was ok, definitely not worth the $10.50 for a bowl of noodles. Portion sizes are not big. We ordered the calamari patties thinking it was an appetizer, turns out it was a bowl of noodles, a little disappointed our waitress didnt clarify for us (3 people eating 4 bowls of noodles?), nor did she offer to change it to the appetizer we originally wanted.
Ill start by saying I recognize this restaurant overall has good reviews but this review reflects my experience. I came with my family on a Sunday evening for dinner. The restaurant wasnt too busy and the decor is comfortable. We have a one year old and unfortunately didnt have our high chair. Unfortunately, this restaurant didnt have a high chair either. That does not promote a family friendly environment. There were 3 adults and we each ordered a noodle soup dish. On top of that, we wanted to try their calamari patty with Dill. However, it seems they have the appetizer, which is what we wanted, and a full meal option with noodle and soup. It seems we accidentally ordered the noodle and soup option. Admitted, it was our first time here so we ordered incorrectly but given there were 3 of us, the waitress should have clued in and asked if we knew we were ordering 4 main dishes. When it came and we showed our confusion, we were simply told that is what we ordered. We were stuck with it. Now, if this was a cheap eats, that would be a different story. However, this is premium priced Pho, like almost twice as much as other really good Pho places. So rather than giving us what we wanted, we were stuck with a dish we didnt want and had to pay for it. I ordered the rare beef but the beef came submerged in the hot soup so was obviously fully cooked by the time it got to me. The rice noodle is actually pretty good, better than other Pho places. But does this alone warrant a price tag almost double of other places, not really. I dont plan on coming here again but by all means, you should give it a try. Like I said, this review is a reflection of my one experience, which unfortunately was not great. But I cant say if this is a regular experience as I dont plan on coming back. There are just far too many other good Pho options for me that I cant justify coming back here.
Our server was EXCELLENT, very friendly, polite and helpful in terms of helping us to decide what to order, bringing our food out on a very timely basis and checking up on us. I ordered the Spicy Shrimp with various assorted vegetables and it was deee-lishhh !
