Vietnamese Restaurant Fu Kien Rice Noodle Duck Noodle Wonton Vermicelli
I have been coming here for over 10 years and always get the Fu Kien rice noodles. The owner makes an effort to build a relationship with her customers and always has regulars coming in.
Don't judge by appearances. They just served their best bun in Toronto! For $14, you get a generous portion and delicious spring rolls. I love the grilled chicken too! Definitely coming back!
Amazing place! Finally found an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in downtown. We ordered a Fu-kien noodle and grilled pork & spring roll noodle. Both were delicious- same taste as what i had in Vietnam!! Their ice coffee with condensed milk is also a must try.
This place has been around for a long time. They serve the best dry noodles in town. I would say most of the food they serve is pretty good and full of flavour. This is for my go to spot for noodles. It never disappoint. Don’t expect anything fancy here. The atmosphere is for sure a mom and pops type of place. The food makes up for everything!
This place is a hidden gem! I had such a lovely, delicious, soul warming time here. It is owned by the two sweetest people, she was practicing her calligraphy while we ate and it was beautiful. The food is beyond delicious and so well priced. This place deserves all the love in the world!
My favourite Vietnamese restaurant ♥️ the main lady that works here is so wonderful and she always remembers my order. Even when I don’t come for a while she’ll mention that it’s been a while and ask me how I am. On top of the wonderful service and atmosphere the food is consistently delicious. I always get the beef soup but I’ve also tried the chicken one and it’s just as good! They also have minced garlic and really spicy hot sauce (which is soooo good). Overall such a gem in Chinatown and you definitely need to go!!
Food was delicious. Great tasting broth! Owner lady was really nice. Pricing, I feel, is on the lower end. Cash only. The restaurant itself looks a bit run down tbh and cleaniness is not their forte. Food was very good that I overlooked it.
Tried a Vietnamese restaurant here because it's close to home, and it turns out that all the menus are delicious. 4 of us came, I ordered spice duck noodle 👍👍👍, and 3 other menus BBQ pork and chicken with rice 👍👍👍, BBQ pork buns are also delicious. the taste of the gravy is not much msg like other restaurants. What is very pleasant is the super service, it feels like eating mother's cooking at home. for sure I will come back to eat here.
I have been eating here since I was a kid. It is an icon of Toronto Chinatown and I hope it never leaves. I only ever order one thing, Bun Mi Vang. It is the taste of home in a bowl.
One of our fave restaurants when we want a hot bowl of noodle soup. The owner is super friendly.
VN family establishment in need of a major reno & cleaning. lousy service, low Q/P
Fisrt time having vietnamese cuisine and the lady over there helped us in mixing and having the dish, the right way
Good foods with friendly services
really yummy food for relatively cheap!!
Authentic delicious Vietnamese food that is run by a very nice welcoming family business. I always get the Mi Kho which has stayed consistently delicious for years.
Best Vietnamese Ive had in downtown Toronto!
The people, food and the price were good. The floor and washroom were dirty. Its a quick place for tasty food when youre traveling.
Very cute restaurant, great food and good prices. Also very convenient location, less than a one minute walk from a street car.
Good food, fair prices, and nice service
Served us raw chicken and then gave us attitude. She said the grill cooks unevenly so thats why its raw. Be warned. Also the bathroom doesnt have any soap... What a mess
New favourite Vietnamese restaurant! My bun bo hue was delicious, super hot and flavourful. Great portion for a great price. Really nice service as well! Food came out so fast but everything was so fresh. The owners are incredible lovely and super helpful and kind. Other amazing all time favs of mine include pork chop & grilled chicken on rice and grilled pork & spring roll on vermicelli noodles (get this one its so incredible)
Great food, fast service, owner is very friendly, would highly recommend coming here if your craving vietnemese
Great restaurant! The noodles and chicken soup were delicious. Good service from the owners. Food
The food here is really tasty, and the service is great!
Had an incredible lunch here, the food was great and the service was extremely firnedly and helpful. I highly recommend H2, the spicy beef soup!
The noodle soup was amazing and the stuff really friendly! We ll be back!
I have been eating at this restaurant for 35years. Same owners and same delicious proprietary soup base! (No one else has been able to replicate ) Hands down the best yellow noodle. We have moved all over the Greater Toronto Area and whenever we are near, we always make a stop. Small family run and 35+ years of soup making experience, its a must try!
Tiffany was super nice and helpful, the soup was amazing. Highly recommended!
Owner will either spit in your food, tell the chefs in the kitchen to lower the portion size, or owner will give you attitude if you tip less than $5
Staff were really nice and friendly, and the food was delicious!
Simply excellent in every way. Total winner.
Kim Vietnamese: Friendly and Delicious I would be happy to write a review for Kim Vietnamese Restaurant! If youre looking for delicious Vietnamese cuisine in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Kim Vietnamese Restaurant is a must-visit spot. One of the standout dishes on their menu is their rice noodles, which are absolutely delicious. They are cooked to perfection and have the perfect texture, not too soft and not too chewy. The rice noodles are served with a variety of toppings, including grilled meats, vegetables, and herbs, all of which are fresh and flavorful. Another great thing about Kim Vietnamese Restaurant is the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The owner is extremely friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. They are always happy to answer any questions you may have about the menu, and they are quick to offer recommendations if youre not sure what to order. One dish that you absolutely cannot miss when you visit Kim Vietnamese Restaurant is their shrimp crackers (they come with the rice noodles). These are hands down the best shrimp crackers in the GTA, and they are an absolute must-try. They are crispy, light, and perfectly seasoned, making them a great appetizer or snack to enjoy with your meal. Overall, if youre looking for delicious Vietnamese food in a welcoming atmosphere, Kim Vietnamese Restaurant is the perfect choice. Their rice noodles are a must-try, and their shrimp crackers are simply unbeatable. The staff is extremely friendly, making your dining experience all the more enjoyable. I highly recommend giving Kim Vietnamese Restaurant a try!
Decent noodles! Unfortunately they dont offer pho.
Been going here for over 25 years.
I ve been visiting this place for over 15 years and it s one of my go to Vietnamese restaurants to visit when I m ever in Toronto s Chinatown. Their Special Fu-Kien Rice Noodles are my favourite and come with a very crispy shrimp cracker!
A long standing Vietnamese restaurant. The menus are fairly diverse but are excellent. Worth dropping by.
The spice duck noodle is a must try! They also have rich and flavorful Vietnamese coffee. Would recommend.
Wonderful staff, great food, super fast. Everything you want in a local Vietnamese restaurant.
A family restaurant in the Chinatown district. The dishes are of good quality but the layout needs a refresh to give confidence in cleanliness.
This restaurant food has too much MSG, I can taste it and the quality isn t that good.
Perfect noodle soup
Good restaurant! The rice and vermicelli were great. The owners are nice! Food
Good price and tax included. Pho - tastes clean and refreshing, but broth could be a tiny bit richer. Shrimp rolls - called salad rolls on the menu. Good value, but no crunch. Could use some sprouts or more mint or basil. Bahn mi - crispy bread, good value A small ma and pa shop with a homey atmosphere. But condiments should be refilled more often, and water should be given without asking. They have a variety of homemade desserts you can take home as well.
Good soup!
Good authentic stuff
Delicious food and impeccable service!! For the price of $13.50, my bánh canh cua was FULL of toppings, delicious s i bánh
I ordered - Seafood rice noodle - Steamed rice flour with Shrimp cake The order was delivered on time and well-packed. Good amount for the price. You need to use your bowl to mix themsince all containers are full. The seafood noodle has 2 Shrimps, 2 Scallops and 4 seafood balls in it. I liked the taste. The steamed rice flour was a bit too sticky for me. The Shrimp cake was good. It has a topping of lettuce, carrot, cucumber and wheat germ.
Had the best bun bo hue in my life. The service was good too. This place is underrated.
Been going to this place for over 25 years... never disappoint me...
Absolutely love this place. Ive been coming here since I was 8 or 9 years old. When I moved away from Toronto I always told my parents, when I get my license Ill be back, and I have. Im now 40 and taking my kids there. The fu-kien noodles are bomb!! So good, I always order 2 to go so I can have more the next day.
Food was very good.. kind of weird that the restaurant was completely silent when we were the only customers in there Update still yummy
Great restaurant, seen a lot of local enjoy the meals here. A nice variety of conditions for your dish. I especially like the cut chili served here instead of just chili sauce. Dish I had was the roasted pork and spring rolls with cold noodle. Added cut chili and garlic into the fish sauce to make it extra tasty.
Great Vietnamese food. Its a rare to find real good Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam. But this is one of those places who come very close to the real taste. I recommend everyone to go here right now.
We recently discovered this gem restaurant. From the outside it doesnt stand out, but man, their food is so authentic and we started coming here every weekend for brunch.
I liked the noodle soup I got there. But the owner lady made a mistake calculating the bill. The noodle soup I had was 9.50 on their menu and my husband had a rice dish thats 12. She said due to inflation you gotta add +1 for everything on the menu. I understand this part even though It was written in Chinese. So after the inflation price+tax should be 26.55 but she charged us 28dollar. At this point we just gave her a cash of 30dollar and left. I hope its just a mistake and wont happen again to anybody since their food is quite good. +Thanks for the feedback. Glad you have new POS system now. Hopefully I can visit there one day again.
Vietnamese food , perfect .
Great taste for more than 40 years in Chinatown .
I have been coming here for twenty plus years and the taste of the Bun Mi Phuc Kien stays the same. I was happy to see they only increased the price by $1 on their menu items due to the pandemic inflation unlike other restaurants who have gone up 30-50%. This hole-in-wall family little restaurant carry the traditional Phuc Kien noodle authenticity by the same owner for as long as I have known this place.
very good
The food here is absolutely incredible. The Bún bò Hu is the best Ive ever had. Very friendly owner and prices are quite reasonable. Will be back many times.
Good service and excellent food.
We got the fukien noodles togo. For the price the portions were huge and really tasty!
wish there was air con but food was decent
Great food and prices.
This is a solid spot for Hu Tieu. Will definitely be going back.
Good Taste, maybe the most authentic vietnamese dishes I had in Toronto. Owner lady was so nice. Top listed place to go near chinatown now!
One of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants Ive ever been to and its conveniently located in the Kensington market area. Some of my favourite dishes are the shrimp crackers and the grilled chicken vermicelli. I always feel welcomed by the friendly owners and would highly recommend!
Quiet gem. This place is a small shop that serves up BIG flavors. Went here in a whim not expecting much and got blown away. Food was DELICIOUS and staff was very nice. Definitely consider this place if in the area and mood for Pho
Absolutely love this place!!!
great portion size, food quality, and very attentive service
The service was not very friendly. Food was normal.
Delicious food and such kind service! Definitely recommend
Definitely my go to noodle spot when I am in Chinatown. Been coming here for over 10 years and it still tastes the same every time! My fav is the fukien noodles. Service is always really fast here.
THIS IS A TERRIBLE RESTAURANT! AFTER ONE HOUR OF WAITING FOR MY ORDER THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU WILL JUST CANCEL IT! THAT S A BAD AND TERRIBLE SERVICE! NEXT TIME DON T ACCEPT ORDER IF YOU CANNOT ACCOMODATE IT ANYMORE!YOU SHOULD CLOSE YOUR STORE PERMANENTLY!
This place is absolutely a hidden treasure in chinatown especially for Vietnamese food,it almost has the same taste in Vietnam ,idk why not so many know this place ,ive been to many restaurant near there but it is nothing to this place
I dont always drink all the soup. But when I do, it os the Spiced Duck Noodle
The food is okay. Subpar and cheap and tons of MSG but certain dishes match their prices as they have 2 thinnest slices of meat i have ever seen in my life. And the restaurant is dirty, flies hanging around and there is a foul smell coming from the kitchen that makes me lose my appetite. And the waitress is so rude, long story short she got upset with me and told me do not say that duck leg is not meat. Pork is meat. And had a bad attitude towards. Never coming back.
Got here later in the evening, wasnt busy at all. Service was good and the lady was very nice and advised what was popular. We got the fukien noodles, rice noodle duck soup and spring roll. The soups were ok, interesting experience but the spring rolls were delicious ! My bf was skeptical of getting them but they were great ! Def recommend trying them.
Came here because I saw good reviews on Google. Totally disappointed when arrived at. The restaurant was dirty and bad organization (spoons and chopsticks). I ordered duck noodle soup and com Suon Bi Cha, the rice was ok, but the noodles didnt taste well as the reviews on Google. Just only one door for the entrance, then I felt too cold when people in and out. Since I felt so worry about the hygiene here, I noticed the smell coming from everywhere. Never come back again.
Love the food here ... fresh ingredients. Hot food, nice for winter ... pho soup was perfect on a cold night.
Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, you guys are a gem. Your soup is delicious $_$
I can t believe I found this place , very traditional Vietnamese food , prices are good as well .
Fu Kien Noodle Soup & their deep fried spring rolls are their famous best dishes
Great friendly service, cheap and filling food
Cant remember.
The best shrimp cracker noodles in town!
This place teaches me that i shouldnt trust Google map review. Tastes not bad but definitely overpriced and service isnt good.
Absolutely delicious! If you love garlic, youll love Kims- fresh minced garlic at the table! Noodles are very fresh as well. The owner is a lovely person with great hospitality skills. Highly recommend!
My neighbourhood staple for some Viet noodle soup. Owner is super nice
Unassuming place in Chinatown but the pho is SO GOOG! It s authentic, delicious, and homey. The shrimp crackers are a specialty and a must try. It s delicious eaten alone or dunked in the broth. I took my parents, who are not big fans of eating out, to this place, and they LOVED it.
The best Vietnamese food in Toronto! Food is authentic, unique, and delicious. The customer service is wonderful, the owner is extremely friendly and clearly passionate about her food. This place is a must-go if you re in Chinatown!
Epic for experience Order menu item c2
Best noodles. Ask for the thick yellow noodles in the house noodle soup. Ask for extra garlic.
The soup is excellent. Lovely.
Big size portions. The taste is fine.
Excellent food and super affordable prices, nice service. Recommended, only debit card or cash accepted though.
Have been coming here for decades. Less frequent in the past 10 years. Several locations spread out through the GTA. Family owned. For is very consistent. Do recommend.
Food was great but there were a lot of food flies flying around.... the place seemed very dirty and unsanitary. I liked the taste of the noodles and broth, but it s quite dirty to come back again.
I ordered something that I thought was soup but got a lovely vermicelli dish instead and I didn t regret it! It was so tasty ! I ll definitely be back to try their other items. The employees are friendly and most can speak at least 2 languages. There s a good amount of seating although I wouldn t recommend large groups. Maybe 6 would be my limit otherwise they might have to break you up at different tables.
Very bad service and attitude, and a very dirty place.
The taste of food in this restaurant is not as good as it used to be years ago.
Good food.
Tiny place but the food was great.
Time-honored brand, good food, business that has been in business for generations
Gem of a place, dont over look it
Been coming here since I was a kid, I love their pho. You definitely need to order a shrimp cracker with your dish, they make the best ones.
Love their food. I would travel an hour to come here and eat. I always get the same thing. Their bun mi vang phuc kien. Decent place, more then enough tables to dine in, usually no wait time, and food is very fast. The bathrooms are always dirty, so I make sure I go elsewhere. They make it up with their friendly staff (who is usually the owner waitressing). Highly recommend place to dine at.
Best soup noodles ever. I eat here Atleast 3 times a month. Order the fu-kien noodles with shrimp cracker and ask for more yellow noodles than white noodles.
Good service and taste for a fair price
Fukien soup is tasty. Add garlic and peppers to taste
This is the duck noodle soup of my dreams - I havent eaten food like this since I was in Thailand, and it has brought back so many good memories. Highly recommend.
Tried the rice+meat dishes and noodle soups here. They were all very good and had generous portions for the price.
Their cold noodle dish with spring rolls and pork is so good!!!! Their homemade shrimp crackers are made fresh and are super good too!! Try their delicious and rich vietnamese iced coffee or avocado shakes too
Ive been eating here since I was young. Love the food!
Great soup and vermicelli with spring rolls
Do it.
They do NOT serve PHO. The soups here are amazing and a must try for anyone. The beef broth is delicious beyond belief. I highly recommend you take a break from Pho and try this place.
Great food, youll see the occasional fly zooming around but the food is well worth it.
The best spring rolls in all of North America.
Fair enough place.
Very good foods
A 10 on the pork chops!
Over-rated place. Ordered a regular size fishball pad noodle soup for 8.50 plus tax & tips, which had only four small fishballs in it, not a whole lot of noodles, and little bits of chives. The entrance wasnt particularly inviting and quite run-down, as with the interior.
Amazing pho, they put fried garlic in the soup and the result is very tasty, better than the other pho place on spadina.
bad service
Good noodle
Good
Great noodle soup
Different kind of soup, noodle, etc then your usual Vietnamese place. Kind of expensive for a smallish bowl though
Get the special. What everyone else is eating.
Great comfy place to grab a warm meal
Long time Vietnamese Restaurant thats been here since I was a kid. Known for the noodle soup with 2 different types of noodles mixed together and a nice shrimp cracker on top. The owner has literally watch me grow up since the days I came here with my grandparents so service has always been nice. Use to come by here for a quick bite before heading off to downtown. Food is still good however as the years gone by the portion has gone down and the price has gone up. With so many other places open now its not a place I would visit often anymore.
One of the better Vietnamese cuisine out there
best noodles i had when i was a little kid
The best place in Chinatown to get duck noodles.
Bun mi Vang is the best
Their Fukien noodle soup is the signature dish. The best anywhere and a must eat. Ive been going here for more than 20 years and its been the same family owned restaurant
